I put this on Twitter, but I’m going to complain here too.

It frustrates me to no end how badly all the lowbloods (olive and down) got shafted in Hiveswap- especially in Act 2.

To say that a permeating theme of both Friendsim and Act 2 is the idea of rebellion and questioning the caste system, we sure are forced to spend a lot of time with the middle/upper classes. The fandom loves to fawn over Tyzias and Mallek for being ‘revolutionaries’, but almost completely ignores characters like Chixie and Xefros, who are actively involved in rebellion AND are part of the oppressed classes. Polypa and Diemen- Polypa especially- both have some of the most unnecessarily bleak backstories in the game, but I see little to no fanworks or in-canon acknowledgment.

I don’t know, I’m probably majorly biased, but like… surely the point of a revolution/rebellion storyline is to focus on the people being oppressed and calling for rebellion in the first place? I understand that a big detail touched upon in Friendsim was that the caste system effects EVERYONE badly, but like… come on. You cant tell me that Mallek has a more enlightened opinion on the true effects of the caste system than a lowblood.

I get that you have your blorbos, but like… don’t make your HS rebellion stories all about the ‘struggles’ of the upper classes. I feel like that goes without saying- or at the very least, acknowledgethe fact that your highblood faves ultimately have privilege when they put themselves in those situations.

So uh...today just went from “good” to bad because while I was driving to the mall, I accidentally hit some debris that was on the road and cracked my front fender (thankfully it’s still attached and didn’t come off or that would be REALLY BAD).  Thankfully I’m not hurt and it didn’t crack my pan, but still...this is like my first “accident” and I am feeling terrible.  So if you could send me good vibes or encouragement or anything, I would appreciate it...because now my nerves are shot and I know my anxiety is gonna be through the fucking roof

Women should not have to be perfect, scarless, heart-faced dainty creatures in order to be considered attractive. Hell, they shouldn’t have to be considered attractive at all in order to be considered engaging, respectable, and likable.

At the core of it all, no—It isn’t immediately hurting anyone that these people are modding their games. But it really is indicative of the kind of person you are if you look at Karlach and feel the need to remove her scars (a CENTRAL part of her character and design) in order to make your game more enjoyable. It really is indicative of the kind of person you are if you feel the need to make your female cast more conventionally feminine and perfect and smooth before you can interact with them or, god forbid, romance them.

Like… No one can stop you from doing it, but I personally can (and will) judge you for it. You kind of deserve it. I don’t know what to tell you except to grow up and learn to have better, more diverse (and more realistic) taste.

There's so much wrong with "everyone is a little bit autistic"

Yes, allistic people might know a lot of facts about the things they like. Yes, allistic people might get a bit overwhelmed or underwhelmed sometimes. Yes, allistic people might not get an expression sometimes, mostly if it's the first time they hear it.

That doesn't make them autistic.

Those traits only make someone autistic when they become disabling. Because, big shock, autism is a disability. Yeah, even if someone is low support needs, because that doesn't mean they don't need any support at all.

Saying "everyone is a little bit autistic" is like saying "everyone struggles with this, so suck it up, you have no right to need help". Which is just pure ableist bullshit. It denies the fact that autistic people have higher support needs than NTs, no matter where in the autistic spectrum they are. We're not "neurospicy", we're disabled, and denying this fact is denying us the right to get the help we need, we deserve, to have a good life.

(yes, this rant is just because I made the awful decision of listening to "neurospicy (interlude)" by Jax. honestly I'd rather be called a slur than listen to that shit again.)
