So… let me explain myself before anyone says anything: THIS WAS FOR HOMEWORK! Sure I didn’t HAVE to pick this exact pose, and I certainly didn’t HAVE to pick the fruitiest character in the entire Pokémon franchise to draw in said pose, but when presented with the opportunity to lovingly render Wallace Pokémon in a pinup and be seen as productive for it, who among us wouldn’t do the same thing? I have no regrets, everyone shut up.
Also, in the example our professor gave for what the final presentation of our work might look like, he included his own gay Hazbin Hotel ship art, so I have a feeling I won’t be docked any points for this. I might even be given a medal.

Oh, and in case it wasn’t obvious, I should mention that the prompt for the homework was to “render a full body of a video game character in a dynamic pose”, and it was kind of implied that we were supposed to do it in the style of the game we chose, but I only kind of did that. I also had to do some preliminary sketches from reference to find a pose I liked, and made these in the process:
Since I haven’t really been making a whole lot of personal art recently, I might end up posting some more of my schoolwork here as I finish it, because a lot of the assignments we’ve been getting this term have been pretty fun! We’re finally getting into character design, which is awesome, and next up we’re going to be doing a group project where we’ll be making a game demo based off Little Nightmares! Lots of potential for cool art here, so I’ll keep you all posted >:3

The lack of filler in arc-v made me realize that yugioh’s filler is necessary for its ecosystem
#it’s because the writers understand that filler is an opportunity to explore and expand upon aspects of a character#that won’t come up in the main plot line#and also is a chance to get a little silly with it#was the episode where jack atlas agreed to an unnecessary death match and proceeded to beat up an entire gang on his own#while concussed#necessary to the plot?#no but it was awesome#dm s4 would’ve worked fine as a standard save the world adventure#but no they decided to give Yami his most dynamic character arc#his lowest points!#are from a filler season!#this goes for gx as well the reason Jaden’s downward spiral worked as well as it did was because#he got so many low stakes episodes to establish his character#so watching it all fall apart was that much more impactful#was the episode focusing on Yuma’s relationship with his family contributing to the space war plot?#no!#but it’s one of my favorite episodes in the whole franchise!#filler when done right can elevate a series!#yugioh#yugioh dm#yugioh gx#yugioh 5ds#yugioh zexal#yugioh arc v

Finally finishing totk
#Totk#Art#Comic#Link#This one gets main blog privileges lololol#Context: I had beat 1 dungeon and promised my buddy not to progress without them. I was just filling out the map and these guys appeared#Totk spoilers in the tags#Okay so here's my totk story because it hurts everyone I tell including myself#First time I played totk I got really fed up with the tutorial. It would just never end.#I got so fed up with it in fact... I never did the story. At all!#My buddy wanted to watch me do the story but we kept missing each other#So I ended up avoiding anything even tangentially related to plot#I never met any characters. Never even knew there were bosses and dungeons. Never entered the castle#And one time my buddy told me there was the awesome boss in the depths I could fight-- a king dragon. Woaaahhh#I made my way over there and was so ready for this epic battle and ended up killing it in 5 seconds. I was too powerful 😂#Keep in mind I did NO DUNGEONS and had grinded up the dynamic difficulty entirely through common enemies to the point of silver lynels#So yeah I stopped playing because I realized I was way too overpowered to start the story#So I started all over again. Finally doing totk the Intended Way™#Uhh... Doing one single dungeon raised the difficulty to the point of black hoglins appearing?? What???#I'm basically rushing every dungeon (I just finished the second one) without preparing at all or doing any shrines#(I killed colgera while dying from cold damage at 4 hearts because I ran out of cold res LMFAO)#So this is really testing my Zelda skillz. It's very fun.#Also. During the first dungeon. I was so obsessed with the kid I almost looked up how I could keep him as my companion#My buddy was so excited for me to find out what the reward was for beating the dungeon 😂😂😂#What else funny... Oh yeah my old save was so jank I never actually got any more than 5 hearts.#Yes I had to defeat lynels mostly hitless since they can kill you despite the mercy quarter heart#I also went to do the first dungeon on the first save and accidentally entered the ship without the child. It TRAPS YOU INSIDE.#It doesn't even give you a warp it just says “die or warp out”. Except I didn't get the shrine halfway up. So I decided to hoverbike out 😓#Oh yeah and it turns out you can ABSOLUTELY get the master sword so so easily.#She flies right past the water dungeon and phases out of existence near immediately it's very funny.

Just finished replaying the entirety of Melody of Moominvalley in preparation for the dlc release! I won’t be able to get it right away but it’s the principle of the thing. Also I love this game and I highly recommend playing it if you want something sweet and heartwarming, even if you’re not familiar with Moomins (though all the Easter eggs make it a little more rewarding if you are a fan).
I’m hoping to see more of Sniff and Snorkmaiden in the dlc - I should hope so at least; Sniff is Fuddler’s brother and I just can’t see Snorkmaiden not wanting to help out with something romantic like this.
#that was the only thing I really wished could’ve been different about the base game - more Snorkmaiden because she’s awesome#and sniff is very cute in this so I’m excited to see more of him especially if he gets to interact with his brother!#honestly though I’m just looking forward to the design of the game again. And of course I love the dynamic they gave Moomin and Snufkin#feels very like the books mostly but like a good pinch of the other adaptations too#also this is a pipe dream but I am rooting for Moominmamma crimes#I don’t see why that would happen in this dlc but I can dream#actually that’s another thing that I wished could’ve have happened: it would’ve been so funny if there was a part of the game#where Moominmamma hides you from the cops. because she would and has canonically done that and I love her for it#anyways I’m rambling again#love this game. Episode one of Supernatural is so flawed that, had I watched it for the first time last night (instead of for the third), I would not have have watched the second. Ever. The flaws are things I simply didn't pick up on when I was thirteen, and memory glazed over with emotional attachment. I understand why these flaws are there, what the writers tried and failed to do through clumsy dialogue and strange character decisions. There's no subtlety. Everything Sam says is direct exposition, specifically the things that he would not have to say to his brother.
I do not do reviews so that's all I'm going to say.
#But who would I be if I had not watched supernatural?#I wouldn't be on tumblr for one#not in the same way that I am#Perhaps I would like different shows because the part of Supernatural that still appeals to me now is the queerbaiting#The blatant queerbaiting#the fact that they never get together#the weird way that excessive misogyny creates homoerotic subtext#that's what captures my interest as a viewer#which is problematic or whatever idk i think the show would have been less interesting as a romance#the most interesting part of the show to me by far is dean's character#and part of his character when read as a suppression of homosexuality simply would not work if the show didn't queerbait#also fun headcanons i hold for characters (like trans/bi dean) are separate from how i would actually analyse the actions of dean#i don't think dean is trans i don't think his character reflects a trans narrative#but i make him trans in my fanfic because i can#and i enjoy exploring that potential interpretation of his character even if i don't agree with it necessarily#i'm better at explaining this in person but I watch hannibal and Supernatural over shows with actual representation in them#because it's frequently a more interesting dynamic as someone who doesn't actually enjoy watching romance#this is not to say i don't watch things with queer characters in them and that I don't love to see representation#i nearly cried when the doctor and rogue kissed#and i don't cry for tv shows#i get incredibly excited and happy to see queer representation in anything at all even if i'm never going to watch it#i'm so so happy that shows like heart stopper exist and are popular and mainstream#that's fucking awesome!#but i'm not gonna watch a queer romance for the same reason i'm not gonna watch a straight romance#it's boring once they get together#and i do want to mention that in my head there is a distinct difference between a romance and characters who are together#like hiccup and astrid isn't a romance they are two characters that get together in a story about friendship and standing up for yourself#and others and also it's about fucking dragons put whatever you want in there i will watch it if it's about dragons.#but stoic and valka is a romance BUT THEY DON"T END UP TOGETHER#spn

There's a chance we might not have a session for Rook's campaign this weekend, and if we don't I'm going to be gnawing at the bars of my enclosure. I need to play out what happens next. I've spent every night since Sunday daydreaming about it until I fall asleep, and I'm going to continue to do so until we play the session. (and even probably afterwards, knowing me.)
At least we're most likely having a session on Friday, and we get to meet the new character... (RIP Clem.) They're an Undead Warlock / Tragedy Bard, and they're gonna be fucking AWESOME, I can't wait.

AND THE ENDING!?!?!? DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON THE ENDING IT’S ALL ANIMATED SO WELL I LOVE THIS SO SO MUCH
