Hoya obovata 'splash'

I very much adhere to the Crowley school of horticulture. Only with slightly less theatre. The plant doesn't do what you want it to? We get out the scissors. Such was the case with this Hoya obovata 'splash'.

These two are now looking for new homes because their level of splash was not satisfactory.

One thing that the Good Omens Scriptbook brought to my attention is the number of times Neil emphasized the fact that Crowley's apartment is white. It has to be white and stylish and minimalistic and sanitised. Take this with the fact that it only houses perfect plants who fall if theyre faulty.

We keep talking about how the plants are supposed to be a projection of Crowley but my guy has literally built a mini heaven for himself. Broski's projecting harder than the Lumiere brothers here.

It's all I drew in the last two weeks. Who could've guess I'll be this busy when uni starts. (It's me, I should've guess, and yet every year it surprises me anew)

that optimist crowley quote from the book got me thinking, because he kind of Has to be. in order for a demon's job to be necessary, you have to believe that human nature is inherently Good in order to believe it's corruptible. likewise with aziraphale and angels, you have to believe that human nature is inherently Wicked in order to believe it needs saving.

in fact, i think what makes them kind of give up on their jobs is that they're given ample opportunity for crowley to see that humans come up with wickedness all on their own and for aziraphale to see that humans do wonderfully kind things all on their own, which goes against their own inherent beliefs but fits right in with each other's.

i love the way crowley exerts so much extra effort to find workarounds for having to do his job and also sets up all these rakes and steps on them later with his low-grade hellish malaise schemes and the upshot of that is he should get really into rube goldberg machines. literally sarah and i were talking this through at 4am because imagine if the season opened with like. a stylistic whimsical worms eye view of the bookshop as a complicated machine goes off and flips spoons and drops books and shuffles cards etc etc and at the end you hear a door buzzer sound and pan over to aziraphale looking up with an annoyed expression and muttering that he told crowley he didnt need a doorbell. (its nude gabriel out there) and perhaps also as the switches flip we get symbols and cards and text built into the machine that quickly summarizes the events of the first season to bring viewers up to speed. lil ball bearings but its the three-baby-shuffle from ep1x01. you're telling me that wouldn't be charming as hell. where's the fun.
