Bashar Inshasi from Gaza has held a dream of pursuing medicine since childhood. The occupation making greater need for doctors and medical professionals in Gaza only compounds this. Bashar is a scholar of medicine, even ranking second in the country. However, the occupation destroyed their homes, universities, and even dreams along with them. It caused more injuries and disabilities in the population, creating an even greater need for treatment.

Unable to continue in the path of medicine, or even life itself, Bashar greatly needs financial help in order to evacuate Gaza.

Border fees to enter Egypt are steep, and Bashar will need to cover for living and residential expenses, along with tuition.

Please donate and share this with whoever you can! Supporting Bashar can help further the education, in order to return to Gaza and bolster the health system— helping the population of Gaza as a whole.

Was forced to watch a truly incredible (derogatory) thing recently.

A young person on twitter, adamant that transandrophobia doesn't exist on the grounds that 'no one is killing/raping/assaulting trans men'.

Several people responded, including some linking articles about murders and assaults on trans men and a couple op-ed style pieces of trans men talking about their own experiences.

Said young person responded with "I'm not reading those its triggering and I'm a minor"

So let me see if I've got this correct, you are knowingly refuse to acknowledge reality because it's upsetting to you and then you're going to turn around and deny that very reality because you refuse to acknowledge it because it's upsetting?

palestinian bloggers and their allies are being hit the hardest by this rn but as someone who has been trying to raise money on tumblr for almost a year now in an increasingly dire situation just mentally (i cannot fucking begin to imagine what it might be like for a palestinian mother or father, for whom this has actual lives hanging in the balance) but there really is something to be said for the way tumblr users view sharing a post as just as good as donating when we regularly talk about how this website has zero actual outreach potential. i'm nit talking about being unable to donate and sharing instead, but the way people really seem to clutch their purse strings at the thought of giving a stranger money.

some of the biggest bloggers on here will go on and on ad infinitum about mutual aid and taking action in their community and then close their hands as soon as they actually have the opportunity to do that exact thing. instead they pass the buck on to their followers, who would in theory then pass it on to their circle, but. just take one look at the actual engagement ratio on that post and 99% of the time it's being bounced around by the same small handful of people. usually the op and their friends trying to find some way to appeal to these people enough that they'll just them as deserving of help.

it's incredibly fucking demoralizing and embittering and heartbreaking. you can emphasize your urgency, you can tell these people how much anguish you're in, you can explain your living situation and the circumstances you're under, you can have infant children on ventilators, and the same people who spend hours of their day arguing with chuds about how the revolution will include helping people for no reason other than because they asked for it will start acting like they didn't hear you.

or they'll tell everyone that you're a scam artist.

Hey guys I’ve been making things work but right now I’m so fucking broke and I really need some help so I can get some necessities…. We have pretty much no food in the house at the moment and won’t be able to get more until my mom gets paid on Friday, my period just started and I rlly need to get tampons, and I only have one dose of my omeprazole left.
