Tommy absolutely drives a Toyota Land Cruiser in grey. One of the newer ones that’s lighter weight. The five-seater with the rack on top because he paddle-boards and kayaks with friends (and is usually the designated driver). On days off, he likes to take it down the roads and trails of So-Cal for an early-morning excursion.

the general consensus is that Tommy has one fun car and one practical car and this is a good contender for the practical vehicle

the car debate has been a lot of fun ngl I love reading everyone's tags on that post! it's been very opinionated and it's cool to see how everyone would see this character and his choices

constable benton fraser is so funny because he'll go "pleas e let me give my wellbeing and all that i am to protect you, i will die for you if you let me" but he'll do it for everyone -- people he met ten seconds ago, his next door neighbours whom he has strong-armed into liking him a little bit, people who have tried to kill him before, people who have betrayed him, the idea of peoples trust in each other and society, trying to get a letter to someone -- meanwhile his nearest and dearest (some random italian-american chicago cop called ray who invited him back home for family dinner after knowing him for about a day) is actively begging him to stop putting himself in hospital all the time.

my difficult errand today is to go to the local community bike shop and get a new-to-me refurbished bike, because mine has finally kicked the bucket

or so i thought. the things making this challenging are a) change is hard, and a change to a tool i use every day will involve an intimidating adjustment period

and b) i am emotionally attached to this bicycle that has been with me through all the tough times and big changes in my life over the past decade, and the thought of donating it to the shop to be stripped for parts was making me sad

so i've decided to hang onto the old bike, see if the issues with it can be repaired, and if so, do the work of overhauling it over the next few months and eventually leave it at my parents' house so it'll be available when i visit.

Nonsensical question for thee:

If an ambulance/firetruck/police vehicle has their sirens on, and is going down the street, and they come across a pulled over school bus with the stop sign out. Would they have to stop for the school bus? It is required by law if I’m not mistaken, and so is pulling over for a response vehicle with their sirens on to let them pass. But it cannot pass because the bus has its sign out. The response vehicle vs. school bus paradox.
