do yall remember a week or two ago when taeyong liked that cute video of that couple staying up with their baby on reels…and everyone was like aww he wants to be a dad so bad how sweet…(or also that he wants to be pregnant but that’s neither here nor there)
edit: heres the link btw!
https://x.com/taeyongpictures/status/1739896348520980920?s=46
well! imagine you and him have been married over a year now and you start to notice he’s been having a bad case of baby fever.. always tagging you and sending you videos of cute little funny baby videos on tiktok and mommy vlogs saying “wouldn’t you look cute doing this?” and dragging you around the store to look at baby clothes bc how are hats that small!! just gushing and cooing at the itty bitty pink socks with bows and you swear you see a tear in his eye.
obviously you aren’t oblivious to this. you knew having a family was one of his goals, and it was yours too!! but both of you worked and even though he made enough to support the both of you and more, you’d assumed he would wait a while after marrying you, but after he had literally squealed in the middle of the store over a tiny pair of overalls you decided it was time to have the conversation with him again.
“honey…do you want to have a baby?” you ask softly one evening in bed, your arms are wrapped around his waist as you both start to fall asleep. taeyong almost breaks your arms flipping over so fast to look at you with bright wide eyes.
“why? do you? what brought this up? are you thinking about it?” he asks you quickly, hands on your shoulders. you smile softly at him, thinking how cute he looks when he’s so excited about this.
“well anyone would be stupid not to see how badly you do..you almost burst into tears looking at baby clothes and my entire fyp is just babies babies babies from everything you send me. you obviously do.” you say. taeyong frowns now, looking a little guilty “well yeah but..i don’t wanna pressure you if you aren’t ready..”
“Of course I’m ready my love..I just wanted to make sure you were.” you reply, hugging him close.
hearing that made taeyong snap almost instantly. that night he’d made it his mission to cum in you at least 3 times, saying “I don’t care if your birth control doesn’t wear off yet this is practice baby we gotta get ready for the real thing.” right after he makes a calendar marking the days of when you would be ovulating next.
“the real thing” turned into a big event for the two of you. you thought his baby fever would settle a but after telling him you were ready to start a family, but if anything it made it crazier. everyday he made sure to bend you over anywhere and everywhere to take him raw, at the blink of an eye he was ready and it always made you feel so special that he was that excited to breed you :(( he’d love how compliant you are and loves to just fill you up all day everyday. the thought of you round with his babies just sets something feral off in him.
and now instead of just looking at the baby clothes he was buying them by the rack not even bothering to care about the gender. “maybe we’ll get lucky and you’ll have twins.” he’d tell you. everyday a package came with a new pair of booties. “im not even pregnant yet taeyong!” you say, opening another box to reveal another pair of footie pajamas the perfect size for a newborn.
“i know but isn’t it the cutest thing baby?” taeyong coos, folding the pajamas neatly and storing them in the already too full closet in your shared bedroom.
one night, while he’s scrubbing your skin softly in the bath after yet another attempt he whispers “i think this time worked darling..i feel it..”and the thought alone makes you beam, his fever starting to rub off on you more and more. “i think so too my love..” you mumble back, admiring the way the water and his arms feel around you.
a few weeks later, you start to feel a bit ill and decide to take taeyong with you to the doctors office, a positive pregnancy result makes the both of you giddy, all smiles and kisses in the little observation room.
“by the way” the doctor says, flipping a few pages on the chart, “it looks like it’s twins!congratulations!”
you have to catch taeyong before he falls to the floor, but the excitement doesn’t falter still.

Word Count: We're just kicking things off so -1k
Warnings/notables: AU story. 18+, please note the warnings for each part/section of this story. Some things are canon accurate and some are not. "Hi, Aunt Jess, I'm settled in my apartment. Movers just left," you spoke aloud, using your wireless headphones to make a call. Your Aunt had insisted you let her know you were all moved in, but failed to answer.
"It's small, like I told you, but I really wanted to start out on my own. Only child thing," you laughed. "Uhmm...I know you wanted me to have a roommate, to be safe, but...I promise I'll think about it more. Once I get to know some people here in the city."
Flopping down on your favorite green chair, you let out an exhausted sigh. "Anyway, you can text me back if you want. I'm taking a shower - if I can find my towels - and going to sleep. Early start tomorrow. Love you, bye."
Removing your headphones, you placed them carefully back in their charging case and turned on some relaxing music. It took you a few minutes, but you did find the box labeled 'towels' so you could freshen up. You had packed a bag with all your essentials - including some cozy pajamas for your first night in the city, and a smart suit for your first day as a research assistant tomorrow.
You were starting a new life in a new city. Orphaned when you were twelve-years-old, you were raised throughout your teenage years by your dad's much younger sister, Jessina. You were much closer in age - so much so that you occasionally fought like sisters, but she made good on her promise to take care of you, supporting you all the way through your master's degree.
Now you were in the city to finish up your doctorate, while working as an assistant to one of the most brilliant geneticists in the world - Miguel O'Hara.
You had only met him over a video call - he was inexplicably unavailable on your only in-person interview. He had a reputation for being tough, no-nonsense, devastatingly brilliant and dangerously handsome. You didn't know him yet, but the handsome part, you could attest to. Seeing him on your computer screen made your body temperature rise and your heart rate double.
Who knew what would happen in person?
But you were a professional, and Miguel's assistant was the perfect entry job for you. So you would have to ignore his gorgeous, thick waves and razor sharp jaw line. You were here to work.
Tumblr media
Miguel sat perched on the edge of an abandoned building, head in his hands, fingers digging into his temples.
Everything hurt.
Conveniently, he didn't have to concentrate to keep his talons from piercing his own skin. So thankfully, talons were not the source of his pain. Still...it hurt.
With a huff, he jerked his hands away, banging a fist on the roof's edge...
...which promptly caused the aged brick to crumble beneath his super strength.
"Shit," he mumbled, pushing himself up. Sighing loudly, he decided he better call it a night. Even with above-average stamina, he still wanted to be ready to meet his new assistant tomorrow at the lab.
It was just so hard to concentrate when he felt so weak.
"I can't," he uttered, annoyed with himself for thinking of blood when he needed to be thinking about tomorrow - about you.
But it had been so long. Too long since he fed - since he felt the rush of his fangs sinking into a warm, fleshy neck. Since he had sucked the life out of someone despicable. Or fed slowly as he'd fucked a lover. The blood wasn't only a life-sustainer, after all. It was an aphrodisiac. He had the Evarcha culicivora - the vampire spider to thank for his blood appetite.
But something had gone wrong when Miguel was unknowingly afflicted with spider DNA years ago. The vampire spider's appetite for blood - specifically blood-filled females - plagued him. He could and did still eat regular food, but he found himself signficiantly weakened if he didn't feed on occasion.
He couldn't deny how incredible it felt - the warmth on his tongue - the pliant body in his arms. He told himself he kept to the moral high ground, killing on the most deplorable criminals. And even though his fangs emitted a non-toxic venom, which could paralyze, he told himself that each and every pleasurable feeding was consensual.
He was half right. The sex was definitely consensual because Miguel was a brilliant, beautiful and seductive man. The feedings, though? Not always. How could he exactly explain to someone that he was a creature who needed to feed on blood to live?
'Hi, I'm Miguel. I'm really smart and I will make you see God in bed, but, by the way, I want to drink you. But I'm not a vampire, I swear!'
Ludicrous.
Squeezing his eyes shut, he shook those thoughts from his head. It was next-level annoying to have super powers at his disposal but still feel like shit half the time.
Blood was the key.
But in sustaining his body, he felt he was losing his soul.
Tumblr media
Coming up: you meet Miguel. What will your new boss be like? Will he have fed before he sees you? next->

just thinking about the time when after my dad left me (lol), 10 year old me decided to turn on her tv to keep watching doctor who bc she had already decided that 10 was her new father figure, only to then sadly discover that the episode she was about to watch was “The End of Time”…
yeah, i was not ready to be abandoned by two father figures in the span of a day lolz
vividly remember taking out my hannah montana diary and drawing a stick figure of david tennant in a little jail and then throwing it in the toilet, poor thing.
decided i would stop watching doctor who after that, but then i thought matt smith was cute so i kept going, and by the time peter capaldi showed up my daddy issues were through the roof so he was perfect for the job.
(my dad and i are fine now but i shall never forgive nor forget so we just ignore the fact that he left bc we love healthy relationships in this house)
(and i have also made peace with david tennant but it took a WHILE)

Characters: Jake x reader, twin boys Warning: All fluffy dad!Jake. Author's Note: Little Jake blurb. Was a preschool field trip a few months ago and was inspired by a wooden play boat to write this--and then rewrote it lol.
Summary: Park day with two little pirates.
The weather is perfect for a day at the park so you and Jake decided to take the kids out for some fresh air. As soon as Jake parks the car in an empty space, both boys are already unbuckling their seats and reaching for the door handles.
Jake chuckles. “Boys, relax. The playground isn’t going anywhere.” “Daddy!” The youngest whines as he bounces up and down on his toes. “Okay, okay.” Jake unlocks the doors and both boys are out of the car in a flash and racing each other to the playground.
Finding an empty picnic table, you set the cooler down on top and reach inside for water to hand to Jake. He gives you a soft thanks before turning his attention to the boys on the playground. Tommy plays in the sandpit while his younger brother, Jude swings on the swing set right beside him.
You see Jude’s eyes light up when he spots something on the other side of the playground. He gasps and jumps off the swing before sprinting over to the picnic table.
“Daddy!” He exclaims as he grabs Jake’s hand. “Daddy, there’s a ship!” “What do you mean there’s a ship? Whose ship do you think it is?” Jake says, playing into Jude’s fantasy. “Could it be Captain Blackbeard, Daddy?” “I don’t know, shall we go find out?” “Yeah!”
Jake sets his water on the table and stands up. He grabs hold of Jude and swings him on his back. “Do we see any crew running about on the ship?” He asks. “Do you see any heads?” Jude places his hand on his forehead above his eyes pretending to search the ship. “No heads, Daddy! Ghost is clear!” Jake laughs. “It’s ‘coast is clear’ buddy, not ‘ghost’.” “Oh..” Jude giggles. “COAST IS CLEAR!” He shouts. Jake tilts his head backwards to look at Jude. “Shall we climb the ship and take it?” “Aye! We shall!” Jude says as he throws his fist into the air. Jake chuckles and heads off towards the ship.
Stepping onto the play boat, Jake sets Jude on the ground. “Ship is definitely empty, my boy.” Jake says as he places his hands on his hips. “What shall we do now?” “We sail!” Jude jumps up and down. “Won’t the Captain be missing his ship?” Jake inquires. Jude shrugs his shoulders. “You snooze, you lose.” He says making Jake laugh. “Right you are.” He says. “So who should be the captain of this fine ship?”
Jude rests his hands on his hips as he thinks. He looks around before running over to the side of the ship. He searches the playground before his eyes land on his brother who’s still playing in the sandpit.
“Tommy!” He shouts. Tommy lifts his head. Jude waves at him from the play ship. He stands up from the sand and dusts off his pants before running through the playground towards the ship. “Want to be the captain?” Tommy's eyes lit up and Jake smiled. “Really?!” Jude nods his head.
Tommy climbs onto the ship and immediately climbs on Jake. “What are you doing?” Jake laughs. “You’re the captain.” “I know but I can’t see.” Tommy says. “I’m small.” Jake snorts before repositioning Tommy on his shoulders. “Better?” “Yes.”
Jake chuckles and rolls his eyes.
Ever since becoming a dad, he’s not only their father but he’s also their climbing tree. They’re constantly clinging to his legs or jumping onto his back. They’ll be the reason he has back and knee pains in the future.
“Captain, what do we do next?” Jude calls from the back of the ship.
“Hoist the sails!” Tommy calls. —
You stay watching the three of them running around on the ship when you see Jude fake being struck by a stray bullet and falling against the side of the ship. “We must get him to a doctor.” Jake says as he holds Jude’s body in his arms.
Tommy immediately points towards you. Jake nods his head and climbs off the play ship. Tommy runs ahead of them and jumps up onto the picnic bench beside you. “My sailor needs medical attention. Can you help?”
Jake walks over with a smirk on his face. “He seems to be wounded badly.” He says as he gently places Jude onto your lap. “Well where does he seem to be hurt?” You say. You can see Jude stifling a smile as he lays limp on your arms. “I think he got struck in the stomach.” Jake says. “Oh.. You mean here?” You say tickling Jude’s stomach makes him laugh. “I see he’s very ticklish.”
“Ah! Ah! Mama!” Jude laughs. “I’m okay now, Mama!” You laugh and sit Jude up on your lap. Tommy rushes over and lays his hand on Jude’s forehead. “He’s better. It’s a phenomenon.”
Jake sits down at the picnic table. “Captain, I believe this island would be a perfect place to settle down for a little while, don’t you agree?” Tommy nods his head. “I am a little peckish.”
You laugh at his vocabulary, knowing that he gets it from Jake. “I do believe this fair maiden has food.” Jake says, looking at you.
“I do,” You say, reaching beneath the table and bringing up a cooler. “I have fruit and vegetables but also peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.” She says. “But I like ham and cheese.” Tommy pouts. “I thought you’d say that.” You reach into the cooler and pull out a ham and cheese sandwich and hand it to him. “We have found a witch.” He says looking at Jake.
“Do we think your crew is hungry?” You ask poking Jude in his stomach. He giggles and nods his head. “Potato chips?” “Potato chips?” Jake questions. “How about we start with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and then potato chips?” “What if we put potato chips on the sandwich?” Jude says. “Are you bargaining with me?” Jake says as he leans on the table. Jude leans on the table and closes in on Jake's face. Their noses touch and Jake chuckles. “Alright fine, you can have potato chips on your sandwich.” “Works every time.” Jude giggles as he leans back against your chest.
“Oh-h-h-h,” Jake says as he stands up from the table and pulls Jude out of your arms. “You sneaky little rascal.” Jude screams in laughter as Jake throws him over his shoulder and spins around. “Daddy!” Jude squeals. Jake sets Jude back down on the ground and ruffles his hair. “Go eat.” Jude jumps back up on the picnic bench and plops down beside Tommy. –
Parking the car in the driveway, Jake turns in his seat and looks back at the boys in the backseat. Both passed out in their carseats. He smiles and turns back around to unbuckle his seatbelt.
“I’d say we had a successful park trip.” You say as you both carry one of the twins into the house. You bring them upstairs to their bedroom and lay them in their beds. “From now on, in order to get them to nap, we take them to the park and let them run.” Jake says as the two of you quietly leave the room and shut the door. “Alright well… While they are asleep, I have something for us to do.” You say. “Oh yeah?” Jake smirks as wraps his arms around your waist. “And that would be?” “I need you to wash the dishes while I clean the bathroom.” Jake groans and hangs his head. “Do I have to wash the dishes?” “Would you rather scrub the toilet?” Jake sighs. “No more using the dishes. We use paper and plastic instead.”

Tiny Not Sober AUs for DC/DP to encourage my hyper fixation:
1) Jack Fenton is the time traveling clone/son of both Superman and Batman. An organization mixed their DNA. A scientist felt guilty about raising a baby to be a weapon so they stole the baby. Would have given them over to the heroes. Didn’t happen. Baby got lost in time to become Jack. He’s thrilled learning this when it comes out after the organization is exposed and the heroes look for the baby.
2) Okay so I read a fic where Maddie is the one gunho about dissection and stuff while Jack FREAKS out, saving his son. I wanna use that idea and have Jack discover Danny is Phantom when he was walks into the lab to find his wife HURTING THEIR KID. He stops her, learns everything, tries to help his son and is forced to knock Maddie out. He takes Danny and Jazz, running to Gotham to protect them because Jazz was also locked up because Maddie learned she is liminal. Jack meets a very nice man who runs a club he works as a bouncer for while keeping his kids safe. His kids were making friends and his boss was awesome about the fake ID stuff. Now if only that furry wasn’t breaking things at the club and his son’s ghost enemies didn’t follow him
3) I latched onto Jack. I don’t know why. But okay so Jack and Maddie get divorced after the portal thing because they found Danny going into it, freaked and Maddie didn’t take it well. Jack refuses to let her hurt him and divorces her. Her claiming her son is half ghost, evil and must be destroyed gets held up in court.
Then Phantom shit happens and everyone figures it out really early. Maddie is keeping the portal open and shit. I’m a little not sober as I write this so… I will expand later if asked. Jack decides he needs to call up his old friend from college he made before he got into ghosts: Barry Allen, forensics scientist. Why? “Oh he’s the Flash. The guy was BAD at hiding it. Like super bad.”
*proceeds to not see that Vlad is evil until Danny spells it out* “ah. Oh maybe it’s cause we dated.”
Cue record scratch and insanity.
4) Ellie out of nowhere rapidly gets sick. Trans!Danny needs to mix her DNA with someone else’s or she’ll die. He panics and uses a random DNA sample from the ghost zone cause there’s a ghost there with an obsession for science he was visiting. The DNA is of either: Tim or Dick.
Ellie gets deaged to newborn and Danny freaks out. Of course now he’s aware he needs to tell the other parent cause it’s be fucking rude otherwise. Luckily, he had slept with the other ‘parent’ long enough it fits. Danny has some help acting as if it was a pregnancy out of nowhere. As in ‘didn’t notice at all’. Mostly doctors help faking it and some illusions.
He then contacts the other dad.
Or: Ellie’s orb gets absorbed and now Danny has to give birth so he seduces the other person so Ellie can have two dads. Or he just has to find someone to do that with?!?
5) … I have a thing about pregnancy fics and kid stories but like: some rouge kidnaps trans!Danny cause his DNA was in the system after his parents had him and Jazz be put into it before he went ghost. Why? Cause Jack was worried that his connection to his cousin Clark would be discovered. Because Jack knew Clark was Superman and worried. (Also: this AU has the parents knowing from the get go cause I keep trying to find a fic like that, with good parents.)
But so like I did some bitty gritty research on this but fuck it its a world with ghosts and superheroes. I don’t care if it doesn’t match with reality. Danny’s DNA has him being riven to be a genetically compatible person to one of the bat kids. Like any child born from them would be the ‘perfect’ specimen or bled or whatever. So now Danny got snatched and pregnant and the Batfam saves him cause Jack calls up his cousin. They find out and it’s chaos.
6) Trans!Danny is the twin of Damian cause I’ve only seen it once but the sentance: you picked a name for yourself but go by another is stuck in my head and also the shenanigans of Damian learning his twin survived, is really a boy and all is fun. Bonus: Ellie is a baby so Damian is convinced he’s an uncle.
He’s not wrong.

I have an epic tale that is my day yesterday. I think it would be good for me to write it all out as if someone was going to read it, but in a place where it will be lost as soon as I post it. Tumblr is the perfect black hole for this space shot.
I should provide context, but it would only make the story longer and I just don’t have the energy. Okay, maybe a little.
Friday my dad, who is 78, said he’d gotten a voicemail, his oncologist wanted to see him for a checkup at noon Monday. Bad weather was in the forecast for Monday morning, but weathermen are notoriously unreliable so I just said something about if it’s icy you’ll have to reschedule. He was like, of course, and we went about our lives.
Today is Monday and I woke up to a world covered in a good quarter inch of ice. Nothing awful, we didn’t lose power, just enough to make the dog not want to go outside to do her business. (I made her go outside against her wishes, for which I was glared at while she crouched and pooped, but it wasn’t in the house.)
It crossed my mind to check in with dad, but no one would go out in this weather, right? Yeah, you see where this is going.
I got a text around noon. Dad had skidded into a ditch and couldn’t get the car out. Help. I ground my teeth a little, but managed to refrain from texting questions about what the hell he was doing in his car on a day like today. That wouldn’t be helpful, especially after he said it had really scared him. So okay. I glance out the window and my little Fiat is encased in ice. Dad never really fit comfortably in it anyhow. I call my oldest son who just moved to town from Washington state after mustering out of the Navy. He says his 4WD truck is in the garage and he’ll come pick me up.
Oh, I forgot. I have to go because I’m the one with the AAA (thanks @l82theparty) and I’ll need to show them my card before they’ll pull him out of the ditch.
Hey, it would be smart to call AAA now and get the ball rolling since there are probably a shit ton of people in ditches today. So I call dad for a more specific location so I can tell AAA where to find him. He says his GPS just keeps giving him the street number, which is one I don’t recognize. Can he give me a cross street? No. Can he give me a landmark? The route between his house and the doctor’s office is pretty easy to recognize, we’ve done it a thousand times for two rounds of chemo and one round of radiation. No landmarks, just this street number. Okay, we’ll try sharing his location. Nope, that is way too technologically advanced. On the up side it killed time until my son showed up in his truck to collect me.
Some more questions with dad on the phone and we’re still no closer to understanding where he is. So I plug the street into the map just to get an idea and that’s when things begin to go sideways. This street shows up outside of town. Way outside of town. It’s between towns so that I can’t even tell you which little town it’s close to because it’s really just not. We follow the bouncing ball down the highway, past the casino on the outskirts of town, past the toll road, out to a place we’ve never heard of. It took us an hour to get this far, for the record.
I’ve decided my GPS has screwed us so I call dad again, confident we’re going to have to go back into town and comb the streets between the cancer center and dad’s house. But I ask him about the landscape he’s in, and he’s confirming everything sounds right. We drive up and down scary hills covered in ice, then some twisting roads also covered in ice, and Dad is on the phone saying that totally sounds right. To my son’s credit the truck only slipped on these roads a couple of times while he gritted his teeth and complained that he should have put something heavy in the truck bed.
We pass a dead end sign, and Dad doesn’t remember seeing one of those. I’m starting to believe we’re fucked. We pass another sign that says no outlet, and dad doesn’t remember it. My son gives me a look, and I shrug. Then we hit a patch of road that is a skating rink and the kid manages to slide himself onto a patch of grass as we both stare at my father’s car at the bottom of this icy hill in the middle of fucking nowhere. At least we found him, right?
Son and I slip and slide on foot down to the car where dad is fine, he’s got the heater on and the radio, just feels foolish and can’t get out because there’s a tree against the driver’s door. Because, dear reader who has made it this far, he’s not in a ditch. He skidded onto the side of the road where the land drops off into a ravine that was maybe 50 feet deep? I can’t say for sure because when I looked at his front tire and how close it was to the drop off it looked more like the Grand Canyon to me.
Okay dad, we’re not going to touch the car. You’re safe, don’t jostle yourself too much, I’m calling 911 for the first time in my life.
(Why is he in BFE? Oh, sorry, that’s Butt Fucking Egypt if you’re from around here. And I still don’t have an answer for that one.)
Meanwhile I look at the icy incline behind us and tell my son no tow truck is ever going to make it down that hill. A nice young Wagoner County Sheriff’s deputy shows up and his answer is to call a wrecker. I mention that no tow truck is ever going to make it down that hill and he gives me a look so I carefully inched my way back up the hill to sit in my son’s truck and wait.
About 20 minutes later it started to rain. About 30 minutes later it’s raining hard. Still raining hard another half hour or so later when the tow truck arrives on the scene.
Would you believe the tow truck driver said his boss won’t let him take his truck down that hill? He says he wouldn’t leave a person down there though (damn human of him) and the deputy, my son, and the tow truck driver trek down to Save Dad.
I watch from the top of the hill because they don’t need any women down there spouting truths and whatnot and getting in the way. I watch them pop the trunk and get my dad’s walker out. I’m standing in the pouring (so cold) rain watching through a layer of fog that has developed as shadowy figures hunch around the two open doors on the passenger side, I’m assuming they’re figuring out how to get dad out of the car on this side.
I can’t see, so I move over and step into a puddle of ice cold water. It’s not really integral to the story, except I was expecting to be pulling dad out of a suburban drainage ditch so I wore the wrong shoes. My nylon running shoes and my wonderful thick warm socks sucked up that icy water and held it like a lover. It was like the opposite of napalm; instead of fire sticking to my body it was ice cold water.
Meanwhile the boys have come far enough up the hill I can see they have dad sitting on the little bench on the walker and my son is walking backwards pulling it while the deputy and tow truck driver are each pushing a handlebar. My son falls down once, then gets up again. I’m not sure how, but they all manage to get back up that hill and get dad in the truck. It doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things but now I know exactly how much cold rain is required to saturate my rain resistant coat.
The story ends with my son managing to get the truck turned around and safely off of the ice sheet it was resting on. We’re all home and dry and safe and warm. My girl cooked me dinner and made me a hot toddy and snuggled me in warm clothes and an electric blanket. Dad’s car has probably depleted its battery by now because we were all three sitting in the truck when my son asked if he should try to walk back down and turn off the hazard lights. We left it.
So, how was your day?

🏵️OP fathers day list🏵️
Hewwo, looks like I'm a bit late but happy father's day for all the dad's out there who love their kids (deadbeats Btfo we don't want you ugh) and a happy father's day for the actual one piece dilfs as well!
today i wanted to make a list for my beloved one piece papis!
Okay, let's go!
🦩 Doflamingo
i know, i know some of you are saying "ummm, who?" Yes, i agree, I'm a little biased on doffy, but hear me out. Doffy is a good dad, how? Why? The fact that he recruited kids is a bad thing, at least for irl standards, but he still cared for them, he knows that sugar is older than she looks yet he cares for her by assigning Trebol to protect her, also when he was making a toast, he gave Law, Baby 5 and Buffalo juice instead of wine. Now that's a good papi
🏰 Capone Bege
The Chad, the goat, the big father and the greatest mafioso daddy in this list, while Capone seems like a terrifying bloodthirsty gangster, he's an amazing husband and an even better father, always there for his kid, playing with him, entertaining him, and loving his wife, a real family guy!
🌊 Neptune
Cry-hoshi's (and her three brothers') father is also included in our list, yep yep! i figured that he needed to be recognized as a father more. What i liked about Neptune is that i liked how he's still loyal to his wife, but i kinda don't like how he sometimes looks weak willed, either way we Stan a mer-daddy!
🍊 Genzo
Most new OP fans may not remember him, but he's one of the Bravest civilians in one piece. He was there when Belle-mère and her daughters were attacked by Arlong and tried to defend them, making him get heavily injured resulting in his iconic scar and somewhat acted like a father figure for Nami when Belle-mère was gone (whomstdve make fun of him, he's precious and btfl 😤) he's now living his best life while following all of Nami's news and achievements.
💊 Hiriluk
Dr Hiriluk, one of the earliest father figures in OP, i liked how he went from treating chopper as a random deer, to an apprentice, to straight up treating him like his son (I'd do that too he's just super duper kyuttttte!) Sure he had his shenanigans and moments where he looked bad, but he's an overall good father figure for chopper, seeing how good he was to him and how he was the one who made him decide to become a doctor.
🍘 Sengoku
"no way, Sengoku has no kids!" ahem, did you forget that he literally adopted Corazon? We don't see much about them interacting, but from what we've seen Sengoku loved Rocinante as if he was his own child, he cared for him and would call him every now and then, and cried real hard when he died and at the end of Dressrosa when he was talking to law it felt like he held him real dear to his heart. Rocinante may have been a marine to the other admirals, but to him, he was his son.
🍳 Zeff
move over Judge, Sanji's real father is here!
He sacrificed his leg for Sanji, LITERALLY, just so the little boy won't die of hunger. And even after that, he ditched piracy and took him under his wing to teach him how to cook and be a real gentleman, he might've been harsh a little, but his heart is in the right place!
🍢 Oden
The true definition of the muscle brain trope, Oden is HUGE, kinda dum dum, he likes to goof around, extremely strong but has a soft spot for his family. He's a perfect family guy to his wife and kids, and despite all, he decided to put his family, disciples and friends at his top priorities, and that's why we totally Stan!
🏜️ Cobra
One of the OP characters that i didn't expect to be SO BRAVE for a non-fighting character. I like how he greatly cared for his daughter, but what i didn't like is how pervy he acts at times (bath scene) but other than that, he's such a beloved father, especially whenever he looked out for his daughter (along with Igaram), such a goof.
🐾 Kuma
We still don't know much about Kuma's past and his relationship with Bonney, why he chose to become a cyborg, why he's climbing the redline...etc etc. But from what Oda has shown us, Bonney loved him so much that she was willing to protect a pacifista since it reminded her of him, and ofc that speaks volumes about him.
🖤 Corazon
Ahhhhh, i remember how hard i cried during law's flashback when it first dropped in the manga, Corazon treated like as if he was his own son, he looked like an insane man at first when he kicked and beat buffalo and baby 5 (which i dunno, was uncalled for) but he's a really good father figure. He did all he could to save law, keep him entertained, made him food (they were grilling sweet potatoes in that one manga cover) and gave him all the love he needed. That is one hell of a reason for law to seek revenge against doffy!
🐋Whitebeard
Yep yep, Oyaji is here, i really like Whitebeard for how he would literally take any fatherless child (be them actually fatherless or just mentally) and make them his child. He's a VERY forgiving father as well, even when he got attacked by one of his sons, he just didn't hold it against him and forgave him. GOOOOOOOD that was sad af i cried!
🌻 Kyros
Once someone asks who's the best OP father the first person that comes to mind is Kyros. Trapped inside a toy's body, forgotten by everyone, if he tells his daughter who he is he will be thrown into the scrape heap, he had to organize a revolution. bro never took a break and ALL of this while taking care of his daughter! If this isn't one of OPs peak dad material then i dunno what he is!
And there you have it! The best OP dad's in my book!
Future dads? Take notes please!

First child (pt. 1)
Single dad Jackie AU
Jackie is a father. His first born child is Robbie-who’s mother is a young woman named Alicia, Jackie’s girlfriend. Though things turn on this chapter for Alicia’s reaction to their newborn son.
You’ll be able to find this AU in my Wattpad as well, but here on tumble I’ll be able to not only talk about it but also post art I make on it a lot easier now!! Hope y’all enjoy!!
—————————————————————————————
Jackie watched as the doctors handed his newborn son to the nurses-who were easily dealing with him.
Jackie looked over at his girlfriend, seeming so proud and excited, "Babe! You did amazing!" He spoke softly.
"Shut up Jackie..." Alicia, Jackie's girlfriend huffs. Laying on the hospital bed tiredly.
Jackie frowns, but a smile goes back on his face as he sees the nurse come back with their baby. Yet, Alicia seemed too tired to carry him, so Jackie took the boy instead.
A wide smile grew on Jackie's face, gently rubbing the boy's back as he carried him in his arms, staring down at him "Aww, Alice look! He's so cute! What we gonna name him?"
Alicia looks over, her arms uncrossed as she stared at the boy. Something about his face looked off. She saw the way Jackie was caring for the kid, and inside she felt a bit jealous. A shrug is all she gave, "I don't know. Why don't you name him?"
"Hmm...How about Robbie? Robbie Jackleman!" Jackie spoke. Smiling widely as he hears the boy cooing up at him.
Soon a nurse came back to them, holding a paper as she smiles, "okay, I got the birth certificate ready...there's just one thing...we examined him and there's some-some unique things about little Robbie."
The couple looked at each other before turning back to the nurse, nodding softly for her to keep going, Robbie sleeping peacefully in Jackie's arms.
"Um...was there by any chance consumption of alcohol while mom was pregnant?"
Jackie was about to answer, "No, there was-"
"Yeah I took some shots and drank a bit. I didn't think it'd be too much of a trouble to just have a couple of drinks. Why?" Alicia said honestly. She didn't see Jackie's confused face.
The nurse did though. She blinked but puts on a small smiles, "Well your son shows symptoms of FASD, or also know as Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders...but there are ways to help him. It's just that he may struggle while growing up. He has some facial abnormalities that may stand him out. He may have poor coordination, difficulty with memory or attention when he's older, he may have learning difficulties and speech delays. There are a number of things, but with proper communication with his doctor and a healthy house hold, I'm sure he'll strive when he's older."
Jackie listened, he looks down at his newborn son. Jackie gently kissed his head and nods, "I'm sure we can work it out and help Robbie as much as we can...thank you so much."
Alicia though, she looked at her new son, a new found disgust about what she heard-knowing her son was going to be standing out more-and to her it was in the worst way possible. It wasn't the perfect child she wanted.
As soon as the nurse left for them to be alone, Jackie avoided looking at Alicia. Just focused on Robbie, watching him sleep peacefully, "You seriously drank while pregnant?? Alicia, the doctor literally told you about this! He told you, you can't drink! When did you even drink? Cause I don't remember seeing you drunk"
Alicia just rolls her eyes, "I didn't think even the smallest bit could effect him! I drank in secret-when you left to your little trip on Italy, I hung around John for the time and we drank just a little"
Jackie huffed, "he should've known better than give you alcohol. Now our son is gonna be suffering because you decided you couldn't keep your urges in!"
"You know what, I'm done talking about this. You're acting like he's the only victim here Jackie. I'm also gonna suffer from this! I have a child that's mentally ill! You know what! I'm tired. Let me sleep!"
Jackie gaped at what his girlfriend said. He huffed, turning away from Alicia as Robbie began to cry. Clearly woken up by the argument. Jackie gently shushed him, rocking the boy a bit, 'she's probably just saying that out of emotions...right?'
Couple months later:
"That's it...yeah come to me! You got this!" Jackie watched as Robbie was finally attempting to walk more. After so many months of crawling-his boy finally was trying to walk.
Yet he wasn't quite there yet, as Robbie fell after a couple of steps. Jackie quickly caught his son, giggles leaving the boy as Jackie scoops him up, "oh you silly little boy"
Alicia sighs, coming downstairs with a pretty fancy, tight dress, "Babee~"
Jackie looks up, looking at Alicia with a smile, "Baby! Robbie was taking his first steps! Can you believe it!" He hums, before seeing the dress, his head tilting, "Hon, what's with the dress? Where ya heading?"
"Well I was thinking we could go get some dinner. Ya know, enjoy the night together"
"We could, but Robbie may have to come...I don't think there is any last minute babysitters available if you want to be going now-"
"Why can't we just leave it with my sister? She's closer and always available!" Alicia huffed, rolling her eyes a bit.
"I don't trusts her with Robbie anymore. And you know that babe. After last time-I don't even think Robbie would like to be there" Jackie spoke with a frown, remembering what had happened the last time. When they had left Robbie at Alicia's sister, the boy had not only been left in a dirty diaper the whole day, but he had almost choked on a piece of carrot.
Alicia stomped her foot as she scoffed, "Babe! We don't go out alone-like ever anymore! Why can't we just leave the boy to Stephanie for a bit! I'm sure she's learned! What happened to giving people second chances??" She batted her eyelashes to her boyfriend. A smile on her face.
Jackie thought long and hard. A sigh leaving him before nodding- "o-okay...but only for a bit though. And then we're picking up Robbie" he spoke while standing up.
Jackie took their son up to get the boy ready. The boy just happily bouncing in Jackie's arms and looking up at his dad.
"Jackie. What do you think about having more kids? I feel like we should have more. Ya know? Give Robbie some proper siblings"
Jackie looks at his girlfriend. Taking a bite of his meal while watching her drink some wine, "I would love to have more kiddos...but to be completely honest babe-I don't know if I trust your drinking urges to carry another child"
Alicia scoffs, rolling her eyes. She was about to protest-but knows it's true. She couldn't bare avoiding drinking for another 9 months again.
"Fine-how about adopting then?? We can try and see some kids at the orphanages and look for a better child" Alicia spoke without much thought. Biting into her food.
Jackie frowns a bit at hearing her words, "Better child? Alicia-what are you talking about? Robbie is our son-of course we can adopt but you can't belittle our kid"
Alicia rolled her eyes softly, "I'm not. It's just that I think we need to get a normal child for him! One that can-I dunno make him not stand out as much for other kids??"
Jackie stared at Alicia. A sigh left him, "we can think about it. For now, can you not ignore Robbie as much?? I've seen you actively not being around as much. I have a mission soon and I need you to look after our boy." Jackie finished eating before taking his wallet out, " plus it's good to get along with him before we adopt another kid!"

Tumblr media
Saw a few people post their character sheets a while back and wanted to make my own so here is my Playa. Underneath the source for this template is some lore or whatever for my character which you can also find on a later post, but yeah.
Tumblr media
So my Playa's actual name is Alex Lewis and he grew up with very rich parents. (I think Playa being apart of a gang and living like a 'normal' person when he has a shit ton of money and rich parents is funny. Plus it's a nice explanation on why he can just grab the money from the in-game safes from the cribs without any care, as it can be part of the gangs 'checks' to their people and his 'allowance' because holy crap there's usually a lot of money in those things.) Now he's also the youngest of the three children (him included) his parents had. (His parents were trying to embody the Nuclear family, Dad works, mom stays home, and the children have to be (for them) one boy, one girl, and the last child is a wild card (boy or girl).)
So unlike Playas two siblings (Adam and Brooklyn) who were raised pretty strict so that his parents could have the 'perfect family', he was given lots of freedom as he was the wild card in the family and they figured that he would follow his siblings lead (which was pretty much true). But while he had that freedom he was also held to the same standards as his two siblings and was pretty sheltered to the world. So because of that it kind of enforced the idea of following along with whatever others say (usually) especially in the two gangs he had joined (this will be expanded upon).
Now because of the high pressure and anxiety from his parents to reach and even surpass the bar that was set and sometimes even rising further, he developed selective mutism. When this developed his mother was frantic with finding out what was wrong with him, she went to numerous doctors which all gave her the same answer. She eventually accepted it and did everything she could to try and 'fix' it which is also a big factor in why he was given so much freedom. His mother also over accommodates him quite a lot which is why he tends to not want to be seen with her as it's rather embarrassing, especially when she makes a scene. His selective mutism also only really dissipates when he's relaxed with a person in an area he's relaxed in, in a area alone and away from everyone where his anxiety melts away (example; his car, his room, the loft, outside in the wilderness, and out on the water), wearing a full face mask, extremely high anger which runs over his anxiety (otherwise he stays quiet and seethes internally), and when he can't suppress a stupid joke. Otherwise he just writes out his words/expresses them, examples on where/what he uses; phone text, charades, refrigerator letters, paper and pen, white/chalk board, basically anything.
Later in life when he finishes high school his family moves over to Stilwater for his fathers job. ( His sister coming with as she didn't like the city they were living in before and she didn't want to move out just yet.) This is where Playa finally gets to move out and he finds a listing for the Loft we see in game. (I really like this Loft for some reason so it's Playas now). He also decided to do some baby sitting and he babysits two little girls that dress him up like a princess and forces him to do tea parties and what not, which is why he keeps his hair long so that the two girls can decorate it. Those two little girls are also some of the few people he actually speaks too after a little while of babysitting them.
While he's there he ends up first joining the Vice kings (ironically enough considering how close the saints are) because someone invited him to join after he accidentally saves a few of their asses a few times. While he was with them he found that many of the members used him to buy things but he was primarily used as a scapegoat, many members leaving him to clean up their messes especially when they found out he was from money. After a few months of this he eventually had enough and left when he was almost killed, essentially faking his own death to the gang. With that little experience he did his best to just stay away from the gangs until he was saved by Julius, which then made Playa reconsider and join up with the saints.

You Know I’m No Good - Forty five
Promise Me Nothing Will Change
Tumblr media
“You need to change the bandage again.” Paul said through a mouthful of food, reaching to hold her arm and inspect the white bandage hiding her stitches. She was sitting in between his legs on the grass, facing the dirt road where her dad and Paul's trucks sat. One of his arms was loosely wrapped around her waist, the other picking at the food she had been eating before he had arrived, ultimately giving it to him when she was finished with the plate.
“Paul,” she groaned, removing her arm from his hold.
“It’s going to get infected, Lu.” His eyebrows creased as he let her retrieve her arm to go back to drawing.
“It’s not, the doctor said it was healing nicely.” Tallulah said in a matter of fact tone. Paul had been clinging to her since the accident, more so than she was to him when he got hurt. While she found it comforting to have him close, he also liked to think he was a doctor. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes anytime he tried to advise her on how to care for the stitches or re-wrap the bandage. He didn't even wear his splint for the recommended time like he was told. Why should she listen to him?
He let out a sound of discontent before resting his chin on her shoulder, “Looks good, Lu.”
Tallulah had decided to pick up her typically untouched  colored pencils and draw his truck for him. Paul had mentioned how he fixed up his truck when he was eighteen after saving it from the scrapyard. It was his baby and he refused to part with it, he had told her. He said that he even had a red replica that his dad had gifted to him as a Christmas present as a kid.
She carefully pried the information out of him after a night of nonstop nightmares that kept her awake into the early mornings, subsequently Paul as well. She had felt guilty, but appreciated him listening to her fears.
“How long have you gone without having sex?” She asked out of the blue. She had been thinking about it recently, how they wont be able to touch eachother, sexually or comfortingly for an entire semester. It seemed like torture.
“I mean..” He started, and she could hear the fluster in his tone. Blind sided by her question, no doubt, “Like, within the last year?”
She looked at him teasingly, “Ever. Virgin to this very moment.”
Blowing out a breath, he pinched her hip gently, as if he was deciding whether this was worth admitting to her, so she answered the question herself, “Three months for me. I dated this guy in eleventh grade, who I lost my virginity to, he was alright. Then there was Xander…and Chase.. And now you, my personal favourite.”
“Three months?” He teased her.
“Would’ve been two if you didn’t play so hard to get.” Tallulah stuck her tongue out at him.
He kissed her shoulder gently, “That's because I knew that as soon as I had you in my bed once, it wouldn’t have been enough.”
“I know, I’m just the perfect little pillow princess.”
Paul let out a boisterous laugh that made her smile. These were the moments she would cherish when she was across the country. She wanted to record each moment to watch over and over again when she inevitably missed him. Not just when the imprint tried to pull them back together, but when she missed his personality, his laugh, everything.
“A month-ish.” He answered her question. His eyes flicked over her face for a reaction but she just smiled.
“You’re a horndog.” She said with amusement, “Twenty seven years old and you’ve only gone a month without sex?”
He chuckled, before he explained, “I have had a long term girlfriend since I was seventeen. Rachel, and now you,” Pauls eyes softened with adoration, “My forever.”
She cheesed at him, melting against his chest with blush rising on her cheeks. “Rachel never with held sex from you like I have?”
He kissed her hairline as she leaned into his chest, “To be fair to you, you had a perfectly responsible reason for doing so. But, no, she didn’t. She would just break up with me.”
“What?” Tallulah looked up at him shocked. She knew they had a tumultuous relationship. Her sisters had told her it was on again, off again for years. But she thought the breakups were mutually divided.
He shrugged, “Pack responsibilities trumped my relationship with her. So, when I did something she didn’t like, she would break up with me and then I would go and do something that would inevitably lead us back to square one when we did get back together.”
“So you never actually cheated on her? You were on a break.” She concluded. A guilty feeling taking over her for never actually listening to his side. He had always just let her throw in his face that he was the one with the history of cheating when really, that wasn’t the case at all.
“I always knew we would get back together though, I just..” Paul sighed, running his fingers through his hair, “ I don’t know.”
“What is it?” Tallulah asked gently, sitting up straight so she could look at him directly.
“I regret what I did to her, I do. But, I feel like I always knew I would imprint, and the fact that I was such a shitty boyfriend to her from the start, lessened the blow..” He explained.
“You hooked up with her after you imprinted too,” She pointed out.
Paul sighed, nodding his head, “I didn’t tell anyone I imprinted, except for Sam. I had never seen you before and I thought you were only visiting, I didn’t see a point in blowing up my life if I was just going to lose you anyways.”
“That makes a lot of sense, actually.”Tallulah admitted, because in reality, she hadn’t been planning on staying as long as she had. If she didn’t meet Paul she probably would have found her way back to Seattle, with or without her family's permission, “I still don’t like her. She knew exactly what she was doing at Emily's bookstore.”
“That's fair. I wasn't happy about that either.”
“I think we can both go four months without losing our minds. It’ll be easy.” Tallulah says confidently. She knows that only Paul could fulfil her needs, so no temptations will even be thought of. Only a countdown of when she could touch him again. She's already calculated the days from the day she touches down in New York, to the day she arrives back in La Push for winter break. A whopping one hundred and seven days.
“Yeah?” He asked, eyebrows raised in question. He clearly didn’t believe they could do it, but they didn’t have much of a choice.
She nods, “At least I think so..”
“We can always test it.” He suggested.
Tallulah grimaced at the thought, “Okay, but tomorrow. Not today.”
He hummed in response, “Why tomorrow? We can start right now.” Paul leaned back, unwrapping his arms from around her and putting his hands in the grass. She instantly felt colder, a frown forming on her lips.
Shifting her body so that she was now straddling him, he looked at her with a smirk. One of his eyebrows quirked at her reaction, “But I’m not ready yet.”
“Oh, Lu.” He murmured as she wrapped her arms around his neck, clinging to him, “We’re going to be fine, I promise nothing is going to change between us.”
She nodded in agreement before leaning in, pressing her lips to his. One of his arms wrapping around her waist, melding her to his body. She couldn't help it. The ability to get lost in one another was astounding. It was so easy to forget where they were when he held her the way that he does. Like the first time they ever kissed in the clearing.
His hand travelled under her shirt, as she pressed her hips into his, eliciting a low groan from his throat.
The sound of the backdoor slamming shut caused them to part and look at the porch, where her dad stood with his arms crossed.
“Just because I am letting him stay here for the time being, does not mean I want to watch you two have--”
“Dad!” She yelled, embarrassed by her father. Paul chuckled as her cheeks turned a rosy hue.
“Hands to yourselves.” Joseph griped as he walked down the steps and towards his car. No doubt off to talk to the council again about the recent incident. It's all he had been focused on. Even going so far as to pull Paul aside to talk to him in hushed tones. It was concerning considering Paul wouldn’t even talk to her about it, everytime she brought it up he would change the subject, or whisk her off to his truck to turn her into a moaning mess. That part she didn’t mind.
“Lu?” Paul's voice brought her back to the present.
“Hm?” She hummed.
“I asked if you wanted to stay with me tonight?”
She pretended to think about his question, before she nodded emphatically, “I’ve missed your bed.”
“Just the bed?” He teased, his hands toying with the bottom of her tank top.
“Yeah, I mean..” she blushed profusely, “Even when you're not there, it feels like you are. I just cuddle with your pillow.”
“So that's why it always smells like you,” He teased, pressing his lips to her forehead before standing up forcing her to wrap her legs around his torso to avoid falling.
“Hands to yourself,” She mimicked her fathers words.
---
.
“I’m scared..” Tallulah whispered into the darkness of their room. The second movie was the only light source, though she had not paid attention to any of it. Having been trapped in her mind, thinking about how different their lives were going to be in just a week.
“Scared of what?” Paul spoke just as softly, combing his fingers through her hair, keeping it out of her face.
She sat up slightly, his arms moving with her to pull her back to his chest. Paul was fully aware of how flighty she could get, and the signs were all there, “What if you were right? What if I go and I fuck everything up by making stupid decisions…”
“Oh, Lu.” He pressed his lips to her forehead, “I regret ever saying that, okay? Besides, you’re allowed to make mistakes, you’re human.”
She shook her head, “Kids make mistakes, and I don't want you to see me as some child who doesnt have her shit together.”
“I don’t have my shit together.” He offered, but it didn’t help. She wasn’t helping the tribe like he was. He had been risking his life for ten years, he was allowed to not have his shit together.
“It’s different. You’re twenty seven.” Tallulah grumbled into his neck.
“You’re overthinking, my love. I didn't see you as a kid, I never did.” He soothed, his hand flowing across her body, underneath the only piece of clothing she had. on. His t-shirt.  “Do you remember what I told you the first time you called me when you were feeling this way?”
“You’d be my something stupid..” She whispered and she knew where he was taking this conversation, which made her heart ache even more.
Paul cupped her cheek with one hand, forcing her to look up at him, “That still holds. Always.”
Tears formed in her eyes uncontrollably, she didn’t want to cry but she couldn’t stop it. She sniffled and shrugged off his hand so he didn’t see. Or so she hoped.
“Baby,” Paul cooed, “Why are you crying?”
“If I call you, you won’t be able to come.” Paul kept silent as he comforted her via his touch, he knows she's right. “I don’t think I should go.”
“I think you should. I’d have bragging rights if you do.” Paul boasted, “Where's my girlfriend? Oh, she's in New York at one of the fanciest art schools in the country.” He tickled her abdomen causing to giggle and smile as he told her what he would say if anyone asked where she was before he looked at her with a seriousness in his eyes shes never seen before. “I’ll run to you if I have to.”
With abrupt suddenness, Tallulah got up and out of bed. She nearly tripped over her own feet in the dark as she looked for her bag she had haphazardly thrown on the ground when she had arrived., “There it is,” she mumbled to herself.
There was one thing that would make all bad decisions accessible to her. The one thing that got her into most trouble in Seattle, at least. She wanted New York to be different. Adventurous yes, but adventures she’d be proud to tell Paul at the end of the day, to see his face light up as she explained her day, to see her having fun and know she was safe all the way across the country.
“Babe?” The confusion was evident in his voice as he sat up and watched her.
“One sec.”
Tallulah quickly rummaged through her bag to find her wallet. She pulled it out and the crux that would hold her back before climbing back into bed, right into his arms. She pressed a kiss to his lips, as she moved to straddle him and before he could indulge in her, she slid the thin card into his hand.
Paul examined the card, before he leaned back against the headboard, “Why are you giving me your ID?”
“It’s not real.” She admitted
He took a closer look, before letting out a scoff,  “People believe this? It says you’re twenty three.”
“Late bloomer,” She joked before saying seriously, “Keep it. Out of sight, out of mind. I wont be able to do most stupid things without it.”
He nodded, running his hands through his hair again. A nervous tick of his. She didn’t want him to be nervous. “Lu?”
“Hm?” She hummed curiously.
“Are you worried about me?” Paul asked, tossing her fake ID onto his bedside table.
She tilted her head slightly,  “Always.”
And it was true. Any time he left for patrol she worried about him and whether or not he would be coming back in one piece. She worried he wasn’t sleeping enough or eating enough when she wasn’t around. It plagued her mind.
He softly smiled at her and pulled her hips even closer to him, their chests touching one another's. “I meant..are you worried I’ll do something stupid?”
She avoids eye contact, mumbling, “I wasn’t.”
“Look at me.”
She does as he said and the grip he had on her hips tightened, “There's no one on this earth that I want more than you. If it’s not with you, it’s not happening.”
“I’ve never thought you’d cheat on me.” She told him honestly, “I just… I worry that you’ll do something that’ll get you hurt. I don’t want to go through that again.”
“I don’t either. The idea of losing you to my own arrogance scares me. I wish I could be as kind as you are.” He admitted, bringing one hand up to stroke her cheek lovingly.
“You are to me.”
“That's because you’re, you.” He smiled. She had heard all the rumours about him, she found many of them hard to believe, even if he had confirmed them himself. He was just so different with her. So gentle.
“I’d do anything to see you smile, hear you laugh..Moan..” His eyes darkened at the thought, “Whatever makes you happy, I’ll do it.”
Tallulah knows he means well. But it's not true and she knows it. “Have you asked Sam if it’s okay for you to visit me? I could even meet you halfway.”
“I haven’t, but I will. I promise.” He said before leaning forward and pressing a gentle kiss to her lips. And she hoped he was being honest.
“You should get a cat, so you’re not lonely.” Tallulah suggested. More so because she wanted a cat for when he wasn’t around, but it would be beneficial for both of them in the long run.
He grinned at her though, “Should I?”
“Yeah, a black one..Name him Ford like your truck, or Picasso!” She said, exciting herself with the idea. “Wait, not Picasso, I like Monet better.”
“I’ll think about it.” He breathed out before moving them so that she was on her back with her head at the foot of the bed as he hovered over her, “But for now, I’m going to take full advantage of having you here.”

AAAAAAAAAAH One Way by S.J. Jordan was SO GOOD! Going for the sequel next but pleasssseee do you have any show or movie recs??
AAAAAAAAAA I am so glad you enjoyed it! Feel free to scream at me about it ANY time. I think I may have to go and reread it now.
In regards to other recommendations... oooooh boy. I have so many. This took me a while because I was considering if this would be respectful to the strikes, but we haven't been told to stay away from any streaming services etc. yet, so after removing a scab from the recommendation list I decided to post it. Apologies in advance for the tangents I go on for every single recommendation. Some of these have been quite popular so you might know of them but it still felt worth mentioning.
Under the cut is a non-exhaustive list of media in no particular order that makes me want to eat glass. Take a shot every time I say heartbreaking.
Movies
Lord of the Rings 1/2/3 - I feel no need to explain myself. If you haven't seen this please for the love of god get your hands on the extended versions and watch them. Then read the books and watch the movies again. Rinse and repeat.
How to Train Your Dragon and How to Train Your Dragon 2 - You read that right, NOT the third movie. In this house the third movie doesn't exist. This is an animated movie and sequel based on the book it shares a name with by Cressida Cowel. The movie follows protagonist Hiccup who lives in a town of Vikings who hunt and kill dragons. He finds out that he can't kill a dragon he has caught, and is surprised when the dragon won't kill him either. His curiosity gets the best of him and he returns to watch the dragon in it's hideout, and a beautiful friendship emerges from a very messy situation. It doesn't happen often that a movie is better than the book, especially if the source material has been changed so drastically, but HTTYD pulls it off. The first movie was also my introduction to fandom, and both movies have an incredibly special place in my heart. Fun fact: I actually am the OP of a pretty popular fandom headcannon and it makes me giggle every time I see it be mentioned in the HTTYD tag.
Inception - Obligatory action movie. Heist movie except sci-fi and also everyone is queer and sexy (no it's not canon but it is canon to me). Conman Leo DiCaprio breaks into rich boy Cilian Murphy's dreams to convince him to give up his father's business in exchange for getting his criminal file wiped clean so he can see his kids again. I love sad dads and I love mind games and I love high stakes and I love time fuckery and I love mentally ill women. Watch it if you also do.
Portrait of a Lady on Fire - Perfect. Showstopping. Incredible. Does not pass the reverse Bechdel test. It is so incredibly hearthbreaking and soft and tender. Period drama with lesbians. Painter Noémi Merlant is hired to pretend to be a companion to Adèle Haenel while secretly painting her portrait to be sent off to a man she is being married off to. There is betrayal and trust and community and lust and it's so gorgeous to look at. The attention to detail is incredible and I want to kiss Céline Sciamma for bringing this movie to my screen. I cry every time I watch it. Queer heartache done right.
The Lake House - I don't know if this movie is actually that good but to me it is perfect. Contractor Keanu Reeves moves into a gorgeous lake house (my dream home) and starts receiving letters addressed to the previous owner and doctor Sandra Bullock. When he gets a letter from her with her new address and sees it's to a building that's still in development, the two skeptics come to the conclusion they are living years apart and their post box is some sort of portal. They fall in love, things go wrong, things go right, and there is a dog!
Series
Orphan Black - Listen. Listen. LISTEN. Tatiana Maslany. Wow. She plays a dozen (if not more) clones and I still have a hard time believing they weren't all different people. Trouble kid forced to be an adult because she is a mother sees herself jump in front of a train and uhhhh has issues with that. She then discovers there are so many others like her, that they were a part of a cloning project and that she is a bit of a special case. There is a lot of plot I cannot summarize but it's deliciously queer (one of the main character clones is a lesbian as well as two prominent gay side characters and other minor queer and trans characters). Found family, questions of what it means to love and of morality, some wonderfully written character arcs and a decently satisfying end. First few episodes can be a bit hard to get into, but Tatiana Maslany is incredible and the show is totally worth it.
Adventure Time - This is a big comfort show for me, not only because Marceline and Princess Bubblegum were one of my first queer ships ever, but also because I enjoy this show just as much as an adult. No real main story line, you could watch individual episodes and still follow it. There are some heavy themes, but they are always handled so wonderfully and with a true sense of childlike wonder, and it makes me have faith in humanity again. Finn the Human and Jake the Dog go on adventures together in a gigantic fantasy land and meet lots of interesting figures. Even the evil characters get attention, compassion, screen time, and dignity. It's heartbreaking and beautiful and so so so good.
The Mentalist - Sorry, there is a cop show in here. Simon Baker is an ex 'psychic' grieving father and husband working as a consultant with the CBI. His boss, Robin Tunney, is so in love with him she looks stupid. It's basically a man who is too smart for his own good running around, being charming or extremely annoying, and an exhausted tough-love type of woman running around fixing his messes. Oh and they catch killers. I am a Patric Jane kinnie, sue me. Jane and Lisbon are also very Griddlehark to me, kind of a what could have been if they had been friends from the beginning.
Russian Doll - Have I ever mentioned how much I love Natasha Lyonne? This is a kind of sexier Groundhog Day, where Natasha Lyonne keeps dying and waking up in the bathroom of her friend throwing her a birthday party. She loses her mind in the midst of gorgeous scenes, seriously beautiful cinematography, and in sexy ass outfits. If you like mind fuckery, cinematography, and sexy women this is the show for you. It sure is the show for me.
Arcane - Speaking of gorgeous visuals, Arcane is a beast of a show with such an incredible and unique look. Also so many hot and/or gay women. There are a few men too, they're okay, I do like me a pathetic little guy so it works. But WOMEN. So many powerful, intelligent, cunning, courageous women. I have to admit that I remember very little of the storyline, but I do know that they took 'Manic Pixie Dream Girl', said "yes and", and made a truly incredible and multi dimensional character with Jinx, with fully fleshed out motivations and morals (or lack thereof), understandable but still properly wrong actions, and such incredible story building around her progressing mental troubles. Must watch.
The Sandman - This one is not technically an obsession I have ever had, but it is a great watch and rewatch. I adore Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne and I adore Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer and I adore Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death. I also love pretty much anything that comes out of Neil Gaiman's brain so that helps. Great casting is what makes this show a winner for me. Morpheus/Dream gets locked up by some insane guy trying to capture death to bring back his son and he spends the rest of the show dealing with the consequences of being gone for decades. Tom Sturridge is a wet cat of a man and I do like that a lot as well. Very pretty cinematography seals the deal.
Misc.
The Magnus Archives - Podcast wildcard. Horror and paranormal and delicious. I love voice actors so much and archivists are hot. Becoming something you didn't choose and dealing with the repercussions of no longer really being human is so !!!!!!! I love it when people just go through the horrors. Everyone's voices scratch something in my brain that nothing else can reach. Brilliant piece of media.
What Remains of Edith Finch - Game wildcard. Semi-sandbox semi-railroad narrative. Gorgeous visual representations of so many difficult things in life. Particularly, the bit where one of Edith's family members loses himself to his own imagination is so gorgeous and heartbreaking. I have written essays on the cinematography of this game. It is so beautiful. Whether you lay it or watch a playthrough, you have to witness this.
MISSED RECOMMENDATIONS ARE HERE
There you have it.
I am sure there is more and I am sure I will be hitting my head on a wall after remembering something I forgot to include. Anyway- enjoy!

There is no perfection. There are people whom we let down and vice versa.
I feel guilty towards Evana. No words can describe the feeling. In her perspective, I was not there when she needed me. While it’s true, I was also having mental problems, almost commit the unthinkable.
What is right and what is wrong? There is no answer when emotion and relation are involved. It’s not a simple mathematical problem.
Hurt stays in heart. Takes time to heal. I don’t dare to think Evana would forgive me, although I carry with that hope.
My thought was to keep her safe during that time, I would think it’s the best option for her. But what is best for her in my eyes may not be best for her in her eyes.
She only sees her mom leaves her. Couple with Rawang’s siblings adding fuel to fire. I can’t blame others because others’s action is something I cannot control. It really don’t justify in others’ eyes including Evana.
It’s painful.
If I can turn back time, would I have make a different decision? At that time, it was the best decision.
I miss Evana. Her dad is trying his best to get rid of me in her life. I no longer be able to see her, I couldn’t talk on the phone with her, I couldn’t do anything.
There are still days I get the attack. I’m still not 100% cure but I am more stable now compared to before. But does this matter when Evana didn’t want me in her life anymore?
The initial plan has always been migrating to Au with Evana in Q1 2022 but got delayed due to visa issue. Postponed it to April 2022, but in March 2022, everything changed. In western countries, anxiety attack is the word. In Chinese culture, I am being attacked by unseen entities. Whatever it is, it’s a dark period of my of life. Prior to that, Evana has always been part of the migration plan.
I struggled from March 2022, almost can’t make it for Christmas and hang on that little hope that I will be cured. Chinese medium and western doctor, from drinking “fu” water to eating medication- nothing helps. God knows how much I was struggling, blessed me with Sky as my pillar of support and Amanda to go through the rough ride together.
I then met Marco out of coincident, who helped minimise the attacked, I decided to take a leap of faith and head to Au in Sept 2023 as a journey to recovery and hoping I can sort the visa out to sponsor Evana to Au. That’s if everything is this perfect but how can life be so perfect, it’s not.
I can’t blame Evana from her perspective. She is too young to understand the sickness I was going through and from her view, it did seem like I have abandoned her. Not true.
She’s always in my heart. I just didn’t know how to approach her with that hatred she had towards me. Ironically my 2 nephews love spending time with me but I didn’t get the opportunity to spend it with my own daughter. It’s very sad.
No one, and I sincerely say, no one should ever go through any mental breakdown period. No one can comprehend what’s really happening during mental breakdown period unless they experience it themselves but this is something I wish NO ONE should ever go through, even if they don’t understand, so be it. That said, I rather Evana not understand it than to have her experience the same pain.

💫💛Starting Yellow Gen💛💫 (About Sun Nosobirrie)
Tumblr media
Meet Sun Nosobirrie. Our Yellow Generation heir.
Here’s what the gen description is:
Tumblr media
Now, so far, the description is followed to a T.
I AM gonna bend the last rule a bit when it comes to pets.
So Sun can have a good relationship with his grandma, his future cat, and the Grey Gen heir.
No one else.
And it says nothing about no enemies. So…
That, and there’s literally no space on our current lot for a rocket. So I’m gonna wait till we’re living on our own. (You bet I’ll make a whole station just for this rocket)
In terms of a SPOUSE…
This is where the rules confuses me. Cause I’ve watched people do this challenge on YouTube, and their yellow gen heirs got spouses. Even LilSimsie did it, so… I guess spouses are allowed???
Regardless, I strongly feel like this my sim will not get a spouse.
It just doesn’t fit for me. And I want Sun to be an aroace sim. Which means he will not be looking for romance. Which means he will not fall in love.
Is that a sad outcome? In my eyes no, cause aromantic means you don’t want romance to begin with. Can’t be sad over not having something you don’t want. Sun’s gonna be just fine.
“So where would grey gen come from? This sim’s a boy, and you don’t plan on getting anyone pregnant. How do you plan on doing that?”
There are multiple options for this, actually:
Adoption; We can just adopt a newborn baby. Simple. Easy.
Science Baby; We get the newborn as a single parent. Again, simple and easy.
Aliens; We could get abducted and have grey gen be an alien… that’d be a fun idea.
Any way we decide to do it, it works for Grey gen’s story to be raised by a single dad. Plus the context of never knowing your birth parents/being born out of literal science/being from another planet.
There is no where in the rules that says we HAVE to get the heir by pregnancy. So I think this is perfectly fine.
Anyway, while we’re waiting on Ruby’s career to be maxed out and her elder age to arrive so she can marry Kaori, Im gonna focus on this gen. As Sun ages up into a teen soon.
Tumblr media
(Future me: This is what he looks like.)
About Sun Nosobirrie:
Sun Nosobirrie has NOT had the best of upbringing, unfortunately.
His mom, Ruby, is a rich and ruthless political woman, and she lives with her twin brother and his husband.
Said husband is also her ex. (The first of many.) Laurant was her high school sweetheart and they broke up. Then in their young adult life, the guy hooked up with her brother, Kian, who ALSO had a crush on him. (So we had a love triangle.)
And Ruby caught them doing it in a bush.
Why do I bring this up? Because this is what drove her… a little mad.
She went to a bar to find a hook up out of jealousy. Then she met a near perfect guy for her: Diego Lobo.
They did it. And Ruby got pregnant.
Thus, on Harvestfest, Sun was born.
Why was he named Sun? Because she was so distraught by the idea she had a son that the doctor mistakingly thought she was naming her kid Sun.
And the guy? Diego? He DIED.
So, Ruby never saw him again. And Sun would NEVER meet his father.
As for what Ruby planned to do as devotion to her child?
None actually, cause she put him in the attic.
Yep. Sun lives in the attic. All his life.
Luckily, he didn’t die. As Pepper, his grandma, found him. And she would proceed to be the one to raise him.
Pepper would always be there for Sun. From raising him as an infant to being his company at a mountain vacation as a toddler to motivating his space ambitions as a child.
She was the only one who remembered his birthday one time.
She’s the one who told him “The Sun always rises” when he couldn’t see the sunrise from the clouds.
She’s the one who told him about Sixam and his aunt being from there. That the only ones who find aliens are the ones that look for them the hardest.
And then in his child years, Pepper passed away. Of old age.
So Sun lost his beloved grandma, and the one person who believed in him.
Cause the rest of his family? NOT supportive.
His grandpa? Well Pepper and Salim were falling out at the time (and got back together) so he wasn’t there.
His aunts? Not in the household. One of them mistook him for a painting easel and splattered chocolate sauce and flour on him as a baby.
His uncles? Incompetent. And they adopted a baby of their own, so they’re more focused on that kid than him.
His dad? Dead.
His mom? A really strict, uncaring, neglectful, terrible parent.
This woman not only put him the attic, but she also took no effort to try and understand her son, yelling at him and grounding him for even the smallest of things, arguing with him, forcing him to clean like some servant, and debunking his confidence pretty much.
So Sun’s pretty much taken it all and moved on with his life. He’s searched through junk in the attic and made his own living space out of scraps. And he’s taken a liking in space.
This is because Pepper was a bit of a scientist back in her day. She’s studied space and the tech used to advance studies to space. So she’s casually told him her wildest stories about these inventions and her experience with space.
It’s his special interest. It’s all he cares about. He will do whatever he can to get there.
So that’s the backstory we’re working with here. It’s not a happy one.
Nerd Brain : Sun, in personality, is a huge nerd. A very 2000s stereotype nerd. A loser. Too stressed? He’ll study. He’ll share his knowledge even when no one asks. And no one will care ten to one.
ESPECIALLY if that knowledge of about space.
His attic upbringing also helps him adjust to being the handy type. He reinvents stuff to make his own living.
Loner : This upbringing has also shaped him as an introvert. By choice now. He prefers his own solitude and space. (Get it?)
On top of that, he’s very overwhelmed and overstimulated in crowded spaces and loud noises.
Going back to him only talking about space and most of his knowledge being space related, I have headcanoned Sun as autistic. Somewhere on the spectrum.
Clumsy : Nerd stereotype. He’s a klutz. Like some anime protagonist. He trips over his own feet from seemingly nothing, and sometimes becomes contagious with his clumsy nature in group activities.
Ambitious : He’s DEVOTED to his dreams. He works hard on everything he does and doesn’t stop until he’s able to get to space and explore everything imaginable. This goes for small stuff too, like books or building. It’s this ambition that helped him ace elementary school, despite the outside subjects being boring.
Other :
Sun is aroace. He’s aromantic as in uninterested in romance, and asexual as in uninterested in sex. His mom is a CRAZY romance fanatic. That’s not the sole reason for his sexuality, it’s just an amplifier in discovering that orientation.
He’s a picky eater. Again, autistic trait. He loves pumpkin flavored stuff, and noodles. But he cannot stand seafood or sour food.
He has a bit of a connection to the sun. He’s always waking up with it and most of his mood seems to depend on if the suns out or not. I don’t know if this is relevant or not yet, but I guess that’s why he’s named Sun.
He’s a bookworm. If I could give him that trait, he’d have it. He’s very into literature, even as a toddler. Taught himself how to read.
Stressed? A good book is what calms him down.
Then, as a teen, he’s starting to write his own books as a hobby and a sub career. (Ironically his grandpa was a best selling author, thus also a writer)
So that’s the character. I really like him for our first male heir in this challenge. I love Pepper and Ruby, but they’re both… chaotic people. Sun meanwhile reads to me as a tragic precious bean who needs some love and support and needs help to get a better life and get out of his current abusive household situation.

𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄: Lamia King ( born Malia Thorpe ) 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 & 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐒: cis woman & she/her   𝐀𝐆𝐄: 39 𝐎𝐂𝐂𝐔𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: Medic 𝐀𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: Civilians 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐊: N/A 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐌: Dichen Lachman
+ intelligent, determined, perceptive - stubborn, obsessive, meticulous to a fault
Tumblr media
born in new castle, new hampshire, malia thorpe was a strange and precocious child who had odd interests and lofty goals.
as long as she could remember, malia wanted to be a doctor. when she was a little girl she had daydreams about saving people, helping them, and making lives better. most kids her age played at doctor but dreamed of being princesses or firefighters or anything like that... but malia took to the doctor play the most. she got to the point where she'd quote shows she'd heard on tv, often operating on her stuffed animals and yelling 'stat' a lot.
she knew what it took to get there, the amount of education she'd need and the aptitudes, and even then some schools would be picky still. she couldn't afford to dally or deviate from her plan at all.
she spent hours of her recreational time studying old medical journals (and some new) to learn everything she could; she'd dive into microfiche at the library dating back to the early days of modern medicine and was fascinated by it; she was the head of her class, somehow managing to keep a near perfect 4.0 grade average even with all her extra-curriculars; she started several clubs and saw them through until the end, including debate and a safety club.
it was the only dream she had and she wanted to make sure she got there.
her dad was mayor there and her mother held a respectable position at the clerk's office (and they also were not exactly poor) so she wouldn't hurt for paying for school, at the very least. malia was likely to get into whatever school she wanted.
university came and she chose the most prestigious she could: harvard. the tuition was massive and the girl was set up exactly as she needed to be, her parents proud and happy for what they'd managed to accomplish in raising her, but everyone knew that malia had gotten there based on her own determination and skill.
an analytical mind had served her all her life and now it was helping push her through the four years of undergrad work, then the four years post grad... the residencies she took up in new mexico, spending the better part of her first 5 years getting tossed around the ER and put on graveyard shifts cleaning up piss and shit in terminal patients in the ICU.
she didn't ever think she'd have time to date, let alone fall for anyone to the point that they'd move in together, but here she was at 30 falling for someone dangerous and exciting, deviating from the careful path she'd taken all her life and getting in way over her head before she knew what would hit her.
it turned sour fast and six months in she was having to make up lies at work as to why she had new bruises, finding herself terrified in ways she hadn't planned. he was possessive, violent, and he came from money (more so than she did) which made it nearly impossible for her to disentangle herself.
she suffered for another six months before she finally slipped free of his grasp and fled further into the state, legally changing her name to lamia king and deciding to hide in plain sight. it took a while for everything to go through but she was able to find a simple job at a medical clinic in lancaster, arizona... she just had to retrieve her shit from new mexico first.
that's when she met yamato ishin.
gunshy, she shied away from the man who was suddenly offering to help her move boxes, recognizing that a woman in a black hoodie pulled deep across her brow and doing this work in the middle of the night was probably not in a good way. she balked, sure the man was sent by her ex but there was something softer about him (not that yamato was ever really soft) and she eventually allowed the help.
she wasn't stupid enough to tell him where she was going or why, but she did give him the number to a cell phone she'd registered in another state and they kept in touch. he never asked too many questions, he just found her cute and kept up with her because he'd noticed the bruises... and eventually he asked if she wanted to go out.
she balked again, terrified of heading back to new mexico but also not wanting to meet up in lancaster because then anyone could follow yamato to her. she gave in, but with caveats; she liked yamato so she didn't really want to pass up a chance at someone who had ever only shown her kindness, but... they agreed to meet up at some point between their two points (though she never said how far between) and their whirlwind romance took off.
she wasn't used to it, and though yamato was a bit withdrawn, he never raised a hand to her, instead treating her as if she were somewhat delicate. the situation itself had left her so terrified that she'd started taking classes in krav maga and muay thai but she was relaxed around yamato; almost content.
he never knew her real name, the one she'd been born with or her past (anything that could tie her to the woman that had been with an abusive man on a track to becoming a renowned doctor) and instead knew her as lamia king, of which he knew she had parents on the east coast and no siblings but she never mentioned harvard, new hampshire, or any of those details. no, she was a struggling woman working at a medical clinic well beneath her pay grade because of the fact that she was terrified to finish residency anywhere that would matter; afraid it would lead a trail right back to malia.
it didn't take long, however, for lamia and yamato to be so deeply in love that, one drunken night, they went to a quick chapel in one of the cities they often met up in and got married. they both seemed happy, in love, and content with their little marriage, going so far as to wear the cheap rings that had been given in the package along with something more personal and 'expensive' on their ring fingers.
she worried sometimes, because he was so withdrawn, that he would leave her. it led to a tiny bit of jealousy and worry, but not unfounded. one night she crept to new mexico again, assuring herself enough time had passed and she'd altered her appearance enough to not get caught, and watched as her husband exited a club, drunk off his ass, with his arm around some girl's waist and stumbled to her car to have sex.
it was a one-time thing, but lamia didn't know that. yamato hadn't chosen to cheat on her so much as he'd sort of lost the thread that night in all his business and ended up on the wrong end of an exchange that led to him destroying his marriage. to bring it up meant to admit she'd followed him, but after a relationship in which she'd been physically abused she'd be damned if she accepted one where she was emotionally abused.
the fight was loud and it was long, a year spent with them separated and arguing and yamato never once telling her the details of why it happened. he couldn't really reveal his club involvement, after all, knowing that it would likely scare her off and implicate her... but he also refused to sit back and be yelled at and just take that hit.
their divorce was as swift as their marriage and to this day lamia laments having lost him, but hates him for having cheated on her. she loved him more than anyone she'd ever met before and the spiral their divorce sent her into was legendary.
it didn't take long for the slightly wild medic at the local clinic to catch the attention of the wild coyotes and be brought into the fold of the motorcycle clubs. she was their on-call and often was set to patching up bullet wounds with nothing more than her medical kit and a bottle of jack. it was hard work, but her downward spiral had led her to craving things that would both distract and numb her to her own bad luck... she embraced it in fact.
if she was gonna have bad luck she was going to do it head on... and that meant putting herself in dangerous situations that she couldn't quite control. gone was the girl who had dreamed of soft things in saving people and been determined to be the best in a legitimate field; gone was the woman who had fallen in love and gotten beaten; gone was the woman who had fallen even more in love, been married, and had her heart shattered; malia thorpe had died somewhere along the way and lamia king was evolving into something else entirely.
better just hope she can survive it.

surprise! || vinnie hacker x reader
Tumblr media
you never expected one word to make you so happy that you’d be running around your bathroom in tears. but here you were with the tiny stick in your hand that read positive, jumping for joy.
it wasn’t long after you met vinnie at the mere age of eighteen that you knew he was the one you wanted to start a family with. and now that it was actually becoming a reality, you couldn’t believe it, you couldn’t be more delighted.
vinnie was currently at a photo shoot, and would be for the rest of the day. giving you plenty of time to decide how you wanted to surprise him with the exciting news.
in the meantime, however, you were craving cake; specifically funfetti with chocolate frosting.
instead of ordering an overpriced cake to be delivered to your house, you decided to take matters into your own hands and bake one yourself. luckily for you, you had a similar craving while grocery shopping last week, so there was still a box of cake mix and a big jar of chocolatey frosting in the pantry just waiting to be eaten.
pulling out the rest of the ingredients and a large mixing bowl, you began whisking everything together before pouring it into the cake pan to go in the oven. not without taking a few licks of the spoon of course. just a little won’t kill me, you thought.
you set the timer on your phone, making your way over to the couch. man, baking really wore you out.
as you waited for the cake to finish in the oven, you continued to think about how you wanted to tell vinnie the news. you’ve seen a bunch of people buy a onesie or other baby gear and surprise their partner with it, but you figured that had been too overdone. you wanted to do something different, something more you.
your thoughts were interrupted by the timer going off and you excitedly walked back into the kitchen, ready to eat this cake.
you took it out of the oven, only giving it a couple minutes to cool, not feeling particularly patient.
as you began covering it with loads of frosting, you realized you should write a message on the cake to tell vinnie he was going to be a dad.
you thought it was perfect. you love cake. vinnie loves your cake. it couldn’t get better than this.
although before you could continue decorating, you heard your stomach growling. it wanted cake, and it wanted it now. vinnie won’t mind if i take just a slice, you convinced yourself.
you cut yourself one tiny piece, thinking that would be enough to satisfy your cravings. it wasn’t. by the time your belly was full almost a third of the cake was gone. “whoopsies,” you giggled at the realization.
even with the big chunk missing, you still wanted to surprise vinnie using it. you didn’t have any ideas otherwise.
so you made do with what you had, using a little tube of green icing you found to write a special message for your husband. but you were quickly running out of room, leaving you to have to cut it short.
once you were done, you stepped back to examine your masterpiece.
you looked down at the already eaten cake that was messily decorated with the phrase, “UR A DAD!” it made you laugh how bad it was.
let’s just say you would never make it through the first round of “the great british baking show”.
it was then that you heard the jiggling of keys and the front door being pushed open. you quickly moved the cake out of sight before vinnie would see it and ruin the surprise.
vinnie entered the room seconds later, making his way over to greet you. “hi baby. how was your day?” he said, leaning in to kiss you. “mm, you taste like chocolate,” he smiled after pulling away.
“it was good. i made a cake!” you replied excitedly.
“oh yeah?” he grinned, “can i have some?” he began walking further into the kitchen in search of said cake.
“no, no!” you answered quickly while guiding him out of the kitchen and into the living room. “i wanna here about your day first. how’d the photo shoot go?”
he sat on the couch, and you plopped down, making yourself comfortable on his lap. “it was really good. everyone there was great, and they let me have more creative control than most other companies i’ve shot with have. it was amazing. i hope they ask me back.”
you watched vinnie with the biggest smile on your face. it made you so proud to see how far he’s come, and how happy he was doing it.
“that’s great, my love. i can’t wait to see how the photos turn out. i bet you look so handsome.” you ran your fingers through his hair. “my pretty boy,” you cooed, placing a kiss to his nose.
“now can i have some of your cake?” he questioned, trying to distract you from how much he was blushing.
“yes! i’ll go get it, you stay right here. i decorated it special just for you,” you explained as you entered the kitchen, picking up the cake.
you slowly made you way back over to vinnie, tilting it towards him so he could fully see what was written on it. “ta-da!”
vinnie looked from the mess of a cake up to you, clearly confused. “i’m pregnant!” you exclaimed, realizing the cake didn’t really do it’s job.
vinnie’s jaw dropped at your words. “you’re serious?! you’re not fucking with me, right?”
“no, i’m not fucking with you. we’re going to have a baby, vin!”
he grabbed the cake from your hands, carefully sitting it on the coffee table next to you. he then pulled you in, picking you up and spinning you around. “oh my god! we’re gonna have a baby! i can’t believe it!”
he quickly put you down, not wanting to be too rough now that you were carrying a baby. his baby!
you noticed he had started to tear up while staring down at your belly with so much love in his eyes. “awe, vin. don’t cry.” you whispered as you whipped the tears from his face.
“i’m just so happy. we’re going to have a baby! all i’ve ever wanted was to start a family with you and now it’s actually happening! there’s going to be a mini you or me running around soon enough! can you believe it?”
he was now kneeling in front of you, reaching to lift your his shirt. “can i?” he asked quietly.
“of course. i’m not showing much. i mean i don’t know exactly but i think i’m only four weeks along.”
“our trip to italy?” he asked rhetorically, smiling at the memory of that first night. he then pulled your shirt up, kissing you all over your belly.
“stop baby, that tickles.” you giggled, trying to push him away. although it didn’t work too much.
“hi baby bean. it’s me, your dad. i know you probably can’t hear me but i wanted to tell you how much i love you. i can’t wait to meet you, but in the meantime time be good to your mommy. she’s the most amazing woman, you are one lucky kid. me and mommy love you so so much. we’ll talk later, okay? mwah!” he placed one more exaggerated kiss right above your belly button.
you couldn’t help but tear up hearing vinnie talk to your baby, your little bean. you knew already he was going to be the best dad.
