Hi Dr. Price,
I’m a huge fan of your work and I’ve found it immensely helpful in figuring out who I am.
In recent years I’ve discovered I am both AuDHD and Bi. My partner is also Bi and very supportive. However we have been together for over a decade and I’m struggling a lot lately with the fact that I’ve never actually been with anyone else. I’ve been spending a lot of time in queer spaces online and finding myself wishing I could at least experience some of what they do.
I love her more than anything and would never do anything to hurt her. She’s not interested in opening things up in any way, which I completely respect and to be fair I’m not even sure that’s truly something I would want either.
I guess I’m just asking if you have any advice on these overwhelming feelings of missing out on aspects of life I never knew I even missed? Other than using porn to get it out of my mind as I’m worried that’s affecting our relationship sexually, which is another issue. Should I find a dating sim game or something to push all of these thoughts on to? It’s kind of messed up but I feel like if I was allowed to flirt online and not actually act on it that might satisfy me? I don’t know.
If nothing else thank you so much for your work and giving me a space to get this off my chest. ❤️
Because I am of the mind that most longings for queer expression/recognition/community cannot and should not be met with media consumption, I'm not going to tell you that there is any kind of game that can simulate queer erotic contact in a way that will be remotely satisfying for you.
You and your partner's desires for your relationship and its boundaries are important and matter, but alongside that, I would also encourage you to listen to that urge that tells you that you'd love to flirt online with a sexy queer stranger as a way to let a little of the steam off.
The wants you are feeling are real, and when disregarded or left unattended they can spiral out in all kinds of unpleasant ways, from just regular garden variety frustration, to resentment, to conducting years long emotional affairs with agoraphobic instagram thot boys you met online (not that I know anything about that).
You want to be recognized by another queer person as a sexually desirable, available person, you want to feel the rush of a developing romance, you want the future to be filled with possibility and excitement, you want to know that your life is not over and that there's still more to learn about yourself and more experiences to enjoy -- these are all good things. These are important things, and I promise you that it is very unlikely that you won't get to experience more desire, attraction, sexual contact, romance, and heartbreak in the years to come.
Most relationships end. Those that last more than a couple of years undergo dramatic shifts over the course of their tenure. And so, it is very likely that you and your partner will either eventually split, or your various desires and capacities will become incompatible in certain ways, and you will contemplate some kind of change to the relationship dynamic (or someone will fail to communicate this and cheat. hopefully not that one. But if it does happen, well. It's very common and not the end of the world or even necessarily the end of the bond).
How does it feel to confront this information? That in all likelihood, this relationship will either end, open up in some way, change dramatically in its dynamic, or be marked by one or both parties stepping out in some way, however small, be it an online flirtation or a kiss at a party or a sexual affair? I think your feelings in response to that information is important too. And that regardless of what you and your partner decide for the time being, it is an important series of potentialities to reflect on and emotionally prepare oneself for. Also worth asking: are these potential futures ones that you can speak to your partner about? One of them will likely be headed for you in time, not through any fault of your own or due to lack of love, but simply because people change and relationships develop, just like a person develops. Whether or not these are subjects that can be broached is itself valuable information, too.
Now personally, I am very biased, but I think there is very little harm in having some virtual sex with a consenting stranger, roleplaying sexy interactions online, even getting on a dating or cruising app and posting a few anonymized photos and seeing what kind of attention you get and enjoying the rush. I think that kind of thing is all within the realm of the harmless and forgivable, but hey, my sister just ended an engagement over her fiance doing that kind of thing, so not everyone agrees with me clearly.
But I think it is worth at least contemplating the full, long continuum of infidelity that exists, from having a whole secret other marriage and family and keeping a partner in the dark about it on one end, say, and making bedroom eyes with a cute person at the bar and fantasizing about what if what if what if, on the other. If your partner did anything along that whole continuum, you might be hurt, and likewise they might be if you do.
You say you love your partner more than anything and would never do anything to hurt her. But you can't really promise yourself that. Every partner hurts one another in some way or another, sometimes even intentionally, over the course of a long relationship. But hurting one another in a relationship is, also, not the end of the world. We all make mistakes, say things we regret, lose control of our faculties at times, or are simply forced to reconcile that what we need conflicts with what another person does. And sometimes we put our needs first, even though it's uncomfortable.
I don't regret the times I cheated. I regret the lack of communication and cowardice that brought me to that half-formed, unarticulated decision. But I don't regret ever having chosen to listen to needs that had been powerfully screaming inside of me, typically for years before I attended to them.
I think you and your partner should continue having very frank conversations about these topics, and do your best to regulate your own anxieties and feelings of relationship threat when the other party brings up an activity or an idea that makes the other feel scared. The choice isn't to remain monogamous or to become fully polyamorous with no hierarchy. There are a lot of activities you can both decide are either okay or not okay, and conditions under which you will engage in them.
Even what counts as "monogamy" is subject to fierce debate, that's part of why so many jealous straight people destroy one another so easily. Is texting someone you think is cute in a flirtatious but ultimately just friendly way cheating? Is dancing with someone else cheating? What kind of dancing is okay and is not? Is cuddling on the couch? Working on erotica together? Kissing? Is watching porn with someone else cheating? Is masturbating to a video they sent you?
You might have a very visceral response to these questions, but those are just like, your opinions. They are not set in stone and you can easily find another monogamous person who is just as adamant about completely opposing rules and definitions of what monogamy means to them. And so, it's worth talking with your partner and really being honest with yourself about what it is you want to do, what is decidedly off the table, and what the hell it even is that you two are talking about when you discuss your relationship and its limits.
If it were me, and if I could wave a wand and make you and your partner feel okay about and agree to a set of relationship limits, I think you should consider flirting with actual queer people online. But I can't control other people's behavior or emotions, as much as I have tried. But you can at least contemplate (and then discuss) alternate ways of getting the kind of attention that you desire.
There are lots of things you can do to scratch your itch that are not having sex or dating someone else: LARPing (there is larping that has a sexual or romantic component!). Tabletop games. Acting or improv that incorporates romantic or sexual elements. Going to a sex party and just WATCHING people do stuff. Going to a gay bar and just hanging out and socializing. Going to a cruising bar and watching people fuck. Going to a dungeon for a class or a demo. Going on gay speed dating but secretly agreeing that you're not actually going to take anybody home, you're just gonna see how it feels. Wearing a slutty outfit to pride and waving and winking at people. Exchanging heartfelt letters with a queer friend who you have chemistry with but who respects your relationship.
These are just some ideas, but the possibilities are limitless. One day, you and your partner might agree that you are open to having sex with other people, or flirting, but not to them having other lasting relationships. maybe you'll have threesomes together or one partner will watch the other fuck casual hook-ups. Or maybe you'll just break up. Who knows what the future holds! No matter what it is, you can figure it out with both love and commitment to your partner, but also the courage to name what you are feeling and to honor your desires. None of those things have to be incompatible, and monogamy doesn't have to be incompatible with getting a little thrill here and there either.
Good luck!

PSA: Stop taking your human pets to the vet!
Human pets are biologically human. It's right there in the name. When they are sick they need to be seen by a human doctor.
Don't bring them to your local vet! I am more qualified to treat an emu than a human pet, and I'm not a specialist in birds or exotic animals.
We learn about the common ailments of all kinds of animals in veterinary school because you never know when someone's going to bring you a critically ill sugar glider or a deer they hit with their car and as a generalist I'm expected to at least be able to provide the very basics before a specialist can get to the scene. But do you know what one animal we don't study?
Humans!
Because there's another profession for that and they're called doctors!
Okay, yes, there are optional modules on human anatomy in a lot of courses, and yes humans are mammals and there is some overlap. Don't be a pedant about this.
I am not trained or qualified to treat humans, regardless of their legal status. Don't bring me your human pets. I can't help them, and I don't want to see them. It's a waste of everyone's time, including yours. But especially mine.
On the same topic, please stop referring to doctors who will treat human pets, and “pet medical specialists”, as vets.
It's insulting to vets, it's insulting to the doctors, and it encourages this misconception that it's okay to bring a human pet to an actual vet.
Obviously I personally think that veterinary medicine is just as challenging and intellectual a discipline as human medicine, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a doctor who's okay with being called a vet just because they treat human pets. Especially if that's only a part of their business, as it is for many “pet-friendly” practices.
I know people say this as a joke, or because they think it's cute or funny, but it's just a way to distance yourself from the reality that you are keeping a biologically human person as a pet.
If you can't handle that reality, you really shouldn't be owning one in the first place.
While we're at it:
“Pet medical specialists” – also called “Pet health specialists”, “Pet health advisors”, and “Pet vets” – are not real medical professionals. They do not have medical degrees, or veterinary degrees, or nursing qualifications. Calling them vets is an insult to my entire profession.
And don't take your human pet to a “Pet health specialist”.
They do not know enough medicine to safely make diagnoses or prescribe treatment. It is not safe to take your human pet to these clinics.
They exist in a legal gray area where they claim to only be giving “health and lifestyle advice”, which is only remotely permitted because human pets lack any effective right to adequate medical care.
If they tried this in the regular medical sector they would very rapidly be prosecuted for practicing medicine without a license.
So don't entrust the health of your human pet to these people. They're effectively scam artists, passing themselves off as medical professionals to human pet owners who don't understand the difference.
Especially do not rely on these services if you think there is any risk your human pet may have a serious injury or illness. They need to see a real doctor. If you can afford to keep a human pet, you can afford insurance for them that covers actual medical care.
If the problem is minor – like a superficial cut or a head cold – and you absolutely must take your human pet to one of these “Pet clinics”, at least insist on seeing a real nurse. They should at least know enough not to make the problem worse, and enough to know whether an actual doctor needs to get involved.
This has been a PSA from a vet who is sick and tired of being asked to provide illegal or borderline-illegal medical care to the wrong species. Please stop doing this to me. Thanks.

Tell me about Bloo’s relationship with Raphael!!! Please!!! Admittedly I have very limited knowledge about Raphael considering I only just started BG3, but gimme the basics or any interesting tidbits you might have :3
Ace, you've blessed my askbox!! 🥹💖🙏🏼 I'll try my best to give you all the tidbits while trying not to spoil bg3 for you!!!
Can a cambion feel love? Sure, but it's very different from the love we know. How “wholesome” their love is depends on how much of their non-fiendish lineage they accept or act on. Raphael lives in denial - he hates the fact that he isn't a full-blooded devil. Bloo never got to feel like anything but a devil.
Devils and their half-offspring can possess. They can desire. It's fierce, greedy, and jealous. Since souls are on the line, “courtship” is relentless. Working to get the object of their affections is the most thrilling part of a prospective relationship. Maintaining their claim over their partner holds pretty much the same sentiment as regular marriage.
Raphael's interest in Bloo started after she got infected with the tadpole, since he knew he could use her to further his own agenda. His interest quickly turns into obsession. Bloo was similarly intrigued by him. He's charismatic and handsome. More than that, he's someone that looks like her who seems to have considerable power. Basically, he fueled that small flame of ambition in her.
ANYWAY
Some of the stuff they do as spouses:
They rarely hold hands. Raphael normally holds Bloo's waist. Bloo holds on to his (upper) arm.
More likely to embrace than hold hands.
They (fully) kiss only when they're alone. When they do, it's the hungry kind - all teeth and claws.
Pecks on the cheek, neck, and knuckles are very common and sometimes done with a theatrical flair.
Bloo equally feeds and makes fun of Raphael's vanity.
She points out his age to tick him off. She likes seeing his brow crumple into a frown
Raphael pisses off Bloo by speaking in riddles. He's blabbering and she looks at him like
Tumblr media
They live separately at times.
Bloo's seat of power is an icy stronghold on an ice floe. It's very much a Persephone setup. She has to maintain order in Stygia (crush revolts, enforce proper taxation) and goes home to Raphael in the House of Hope.
Bloo sneaks away from her duties to meet with Raphael.
When he does visit her, he gives unsolicited political advice as a way of flirting.
Raphael's crown stays on during sex
He's been a million times more attached and horny for Bloo ever since she gave him the crown
Bloo's the one in the relationship who tries to convince Raphael to stay in the morning.
Raphael hosts a lot of banquets, Bloo gets bored
Raphael doesn't want to admit, but he is obsessed with her. He writes poetry and ballads about her that never see the light of day
He gives her generous gifts in jewelry and trinkets.
They don't like each other's dads.
The captain of the Stygian guard is infatuated with Bloo, and Raphael wants nothing more than to fillet him
Haarlep is a welcome 3rd member in their relationship.
Bloo encourages Haarlep to take their true form when they're with her. She's also the only one who knows their true name.
On the topic of heirs, Raphael wants one eventually, and Bloo is more than willing to give him one... or five.

Karasuno Hair Salon!AU headcanons
I went to get a haircut a while ago and my hairdresser had silver hair like Suga's and it inspired this whole mess. Also, I don't know much about the hair salon business so take this with a huge chunk of salt?? Mostly assessing based of the qualities of the characters. Do not look too closely because there will be gaps.
Characters: All of your Karasuno volleyball team favourites + Yachi, Kiyoko, Ukai, Takeda
Tumblr media
Sawamura Daichi
He takes on a senior/ manager role, has plenty of experience under his belt.
Makes small talk with the customer
Knows the regulars by names
Assigns shifts
Trains the rest of the staffs and is fairly good at all the roles
Covers whoever who can't make it
Used to give his siblings haircuts while they were growing up
I feel like he'd be open to going around to elderly homes and giving them free haircuts
Man's a guy who serves the community!!
Sugawara Koushi
He is so loved by all grandmamas and children.
Man can butter up ANYONE
and he lays it on thick
He's respectful, cheerful, and a good yapper
Children thinks he's kind and friendly
Generally pleasant guy
Will bribe children with candy so they stay still
Azumane Asahi
He knows the way he looks may scare kiddos away, so he uses his long hair to his advantage and styles it with lil' butterfly clips, pigtails and other accessories.
Has won a couple of hairdressing awards
Mostly the go-to person for more experimental styles
Has contacts in the modelling and fashion department which brings in a ton of money for the salon
The less shy children would go up to him and demands he lifts them like a lil' plane
He will never say no
Man makes a mean matcha though
Shimizu Kiyoko
Handles the makeup and photography should anyone come in with needs for bridal makeup services and other events.
Works closely with Asahi
Sometimes, they'll be out in the city together for side quests
She's a woman of many talents so pre-booking required!!!
Has a popular Instagram account dedicated to the bridal looks, mostly spread through word-of-mouth
Ennoshita Chikara
The hair salon prides themselves on incredible service as how they were trained under Ukai Sr.. So expect a nice lil drink while getting your next hairdo. The person behind the delicious coffee? Ennoshita.
Personally handles the coffee stock and orders
Has a good working relationship with the roasteries in town
Ensures each cup of coffee will brighten up your day
Does some cute doodles sometimes on the cups
WILL NOT GIVE OUT PHONE NUMBERS!! MAN'S KEEPING IT PROFESSIONAL
Cakes and other drinks are served too
Kinoshita Hisashi
Don't tell me this guy isn't the biggest gossip in this place. He easily encourages his customers to talk more, and is good at giving advice and reacting in an affirming way.
Him and Suga is always on top with the neighbourhood tea
He isn't a snitch but will act dumb about the drama
Narita Kazuhito
He plays a regular hairstylist role but helps out with Kageyama at the hairwashing station on busier days.
Has an adaptable personality so Daichi pairs him with new customers to have a feel for their personality
Tanaka Ryuunosuke
What many don't know about him is that he is a rather creative and artistic guy.
Paints nails and does incredible nail art
Can get eerily focused unlike his usual loud self
Practices new skills on Kiyoko (HIS WIFE!!)
Kiyoko ofc gets compliments and directs them to her incredible husband
And he recommends his WIFE'S makeup and photography services
SUCH A COUPLE
BUSINESS IS BOOMING
BIG MONEY BIG MONEY
Will also rock some sick nail designs, man does not care
The team also enjoy getting their nails done by him
Hinata's down for whatever's brightly coloured and funky
Kageyama doesn't do colour but does a clear coat
The team usually play with colours and designs but no rhinestones for them since it can get in the way
Nishinoya Yuu
When you need a dye job, he's the man.
Gets very excited when someone needs his services
Will talk you through the process, how to care for your new hair, and recommends the right shade for your skin etc
Does a very thorough job in explaining it all
Has a little steppy stool
I feel like he will change that dyed part of his hair quite often. Different colours. Same part. It's kinda funny.
Is very patient throughout the process
Will send a complimentary cake your way as a thank you for the many hours it takes
Hinata Shouyou
Makes light conversation with the regulars when he gives them a haircut.
Daichi also sends new customers his way since Hinata has a certain knack of interpreting someone's requests
Loves it when customers give him free reign
Usually uses that opportunity to film those blind pick challenges
Nails it usually
Kageyama Tobio
King of scalp massages
Gives a killer scalp massage
And a neck massage
Is very attentive to his customers and will always ask if the pressure is too hard or too soft
Instantly relaxing
Plays an assistant role to Noya, incredible eye for colour mixing
Approaches every task with dedication.
Man's also turning to Asahi for advice on creating the next big look
Star employee!! Despite being a little socially stunted
Is working on that though!!
Yamaguchi Tadashi
Apprentice under Ennoshita and handles social media with Yachi
Appears in their TikToks
Likes making different latte art designs. His current go to is a bear since it appeals to everyone. The peacock is a challenge though.
Brainstorms a lot of the content ideas with Yachi, but he's usually the face of it
Has a strong online presence though despite being a little shy in real life
Occasionally, he goes to Suga to ask for tips and learns from him. Suga's more than willing to share his knowledge!
Tsukishima Kei
I see him as taking this only as a part-time job though just for the money.
I see him working together with Daichi to go around giving free haircut to the community centres
He's being paid for it and that's fine by him
It's not the ideal part-time job but it's near his college, pays decently and fits his schedule
His best friend works there and enjoys it, so that's a little bit of a bonus too
I can imagine his brother being the type to be quite fond of caring for the community, so it rubs off on him a bit too
Daichi is understanding of his frank personality. In the end, it really is just a job so no big deal.
Yachi Hitoka
Handles marketing and social media.
It started as a kind deed to help the small business grow but ended up liking the team and stayed on.
Is definitely why they're blowing up online
Usually films the TikToks but plans the content with Yamaguchi
Very on trend, very quick on trends
Also knows who what the people want to see
Ukai Kenshin
Runs his mother's store but spreads the word about the hair salon.
His grandfather started hair salon, and when his dad married, his dad didn't realise that tending to the farm would be incredibly demanding and it was impossible to hold on to both businesses.
The hair salon went to his uncle for a while until he fell ill.
Somehow it fell into the hands of the Takeda family.
Completely entrusts it to the new team to run it.
Is very fond of the new team.
Takeda Ittetsu
He grew up going to the hair salon.
His grandfather used to hang out there with Ukai Sr. all the time.
They'd sit outside and have a smoke, next to lil Takeda who would be doing his homework.
Has many good memories with his grandfather at that hair salon.
So when it was struggling, he struck a deal to run it instead.
Now he's out building opportunities for them, getting them signed on with new businesses and partnerships.
He has a meeting with Shiseido next week.

hi! i'm currently writing a blind character in a futuristic sci-fi setting (think fifth element). some backstory just so there's additional context: she's orphaned as a baby, and while very young, contracts a virus that leaves her with minimal light and shadow perception. she later gets adopted, and her father acts as her guide until she's 12. when she turns 12, she's gifted a droid who acts as her mobility aid (visually, her droid is similar in design/size of r2-d2 from star wars). i thought this fit the futuristic setting. here's my question. originally, i had her (let's call her C) commission a special pair of glasses that connect to her droid so it can see what she sees and better help it guide her in public spaces, especially if it's too loud for her to hear it or if they get separated somehow, because the glasses have an auditory link for them to communicate with each other. after doing more research, i've learned that the "blind character covering their eyes" trope is super common and kind of looked down upon in the blind community. i'm really worried now, as someone sighted, that i've fallen for it by designing C's mobility aid this way. have i? and if i have, what is some advice or tips for ways i could alter this to where it doesn't come across as trope-y? should i get rid of the glasses, scrap the droid idea completely, etc?
Guide Droid And Character Covering Her Eyes With Glasses
The glasses remind me a bit of the OrCam My Eye, which is a pair glasses and an ear piece. You have an already-existing precedent for this. Additionally, my main concern with covering eyes, which I discuss here, [link], is that there is often no thought or explanation behind why a character’s eyes must be covered. Narratives often twist themselves into knots simply to cover a blind person’s eyes with something like sunglasses or a blindfold, which the character never removes.
Regular glasses are, however, a different story. Regular glasses are transparent. They are usually for protection of the eyes. They may also make objects slightly clearer, which can reduce eye strain. Not that your character will need to worry about that.
The glasses are not able to correct vision. They serve a purpose, and one that isn’t covering the person’s eyes.
My suggestion is to provide an explanation for the glasses and make sure they are see-through. They shouldn’t be sunglasses unless she has transition lenses, which can protect her from damaging UV rays.
The key is not to cover up your character’s eyes. Especially for no particular reason.
However, if you are worried about the glasses, you can also simply have bone-conducting ear piece that sits on top of her ear. Avoid implants or anything that might disrupt her hearing or other senses.
The Guide Droid
Speaking of senses, having a droid as her guide means she will miss out on a lot of tactile information provided by a cane and, to a lesser extent, a guide dog. For example, a handler can feel elevation.
Walking behind a droid is not going to provide that same information.
Yes, there is a step down, but where? Is it an even step or does it curve? Are the steps the same width?
I suggest giving her a cane, as they can be used with sighted guide and to a lesser degree, service animals. Her using a cane won’t interfere with a droid the same way it might with a guide dog or horse.
Alternatively, you can also find a way to connect them so she can get tactile information. Another, cuter option might be a droid service animal with a more futuristic harness.
About Using Sighted Guide Until She is 12
Something about this bothers me.
Sighted guide is a legitimate form of O&M and can increase independence in a way only blind folks can relate to. I also know that sighted guide may be more encouraged in some cultures that value interdependence. Sighted guide is a great and should be used more in fiction. I personally prefer it in unfamiliar areas and at night time.
However, it also feels off to me that she so happens to use a human guide all her life and not a cane. It may be because I am imagining times where her father may not be able to accompany her. Or perhaps I am sensitive to the lack of mobility aids in fiction that feature blind characters.
Lastly, cane skills are a part of O&M, which is needed before being able to work properly with a guide animal. I think she should have at least some cane skills and some navigation techniques even if she prefers to have her father guide her. This also gives her more agency to experiment and choose what is comfortable for her.
Here is a post I made about mobility aids that might help.
I hope this helps.

i'm finally making that writing/art group I was talking about
Ever feel like every time you try to share your writing and/or art online you are just shouting into the void? Or maybe more accurately, shouting into a room full of people who are all talking to each other but don't seem to notice you? Is having your work seen by others simultaneously your greatest desire and your greatest fear? Mine too~
Community is so fricken important, especially to creatives and the creative process. Surrounding myself with creative people who encourage, support, and celebrate each other is a really big goal of mine. So, I'm starting a lil discord server in the hopes of cultivating that kind of community.
I want it to be a really positive, welcoming, and helpful space for creatives of all kinds (with a focus on writers and artists because that's what I know best, but by no means limited to that!), so I was hoping anyone who is interested in joining could help me get it up and going by giving their thoughts and suggestions on what goes on in the community (and also probably helping me actually set up the discord server bc I've only made a few very very simple, small servers in the past).
(I should also go ahead and mention that this server/group will be only for people 18 and up because I am just not currently comfortable being in any way responsible for minors, sorry!!! Oh, and also no ai art)
These are my ideas so far:
The emphasis for the server should be to encourage, inspire, connect with, and support other creatives, meaning it will be encouraged for people to engage with each others work, both on the server and also on other platforms where the work is posted
I have a personal pet peeve with unsolicited advice, so there can be specific channels where people post their work when they want critiques, and on the other channels the expectation would just be to leave your reactions to the work, not criticisms
I'd like for there to be regular "check-in" kind of things, almost like group meetings but more flexible because people will likely be in many different time zones and won't necessarily be able to make a specific time. The check-ins could be maybe once a week? And there could be one for writing and one for art (on different days I think). During the check-ins we could share a bit of our WIPs (will probably have to put a word limit on the writing) and maybe have a discussion topic for that week or something. Idk I just want it to be a time where we try to come together and actively discuss and engage and stuff, to really build the sense of community
Also different channels where people can talk about things like world-building and art styles and healthy habits for creating and things like that!
That's kinda all the ideas I have right now, please please comment/reply to this post if you have any suggestions and/or you want to join the group!
Also please reblog so more people see this~

Hi Taffybuns! Thank you for being you and artist that has passion to make. My brother told me that he bought two shirts out of it and he loved it, i was surprised you were the artist drew design! (the pokemon ones!)
Though I am curious and i hope you'll able to respond, do you have advice to make my art for merchandise in the future? I don't mind if you want to simplified explaination, a tumblr posts, or dropping a youtube link video; since you're busy with conventions.
I'm picky when it comes youtube art videos that are always give me the vibes of elitism, clickbait videos or others. You're the first artist I wanted to ask, so i hope it's fine if you can reply or not.
Sending my best regards to you. Take care and love your art as always. (I hope i can buy your pokemon hawaiin shirt!)
hello! thanks so much for the sweet message!!
apologies for the confusion, though! the pokemon shirts arent mine! i share a joint storefront with my friend and tablemate, you can view all his designs here! we have our store bio set to say we are two artists, but it's hard to see on the shopee site format, haha. i'll pass this message along to him, and i hope you can buy his shirts in the future too, they're very well made! i'm glad your brother enjoys them!
(if anyone is reading this, he also has them listed internationally on Etsy! my items aren't here though, sorry!!)
i assume you're PH based aswell if your brother got our shirts, so i'm gonna link some resources and basic advice under the cut-
i'd be glad to help where i can, though my basic advice is to just start.. i began selling merch with dann (friend who made the pokemon shirts) when we were just classmates in college, and we started at small anime events selling small prints with our table falling apart hahajkfghjk.. but even back then everyone was so friendly, so it was very encouraging !! the art community is very sweet and there is a lot of support for you !!
first, you'll want to find your market! this will determine what conventions you want to apply to and what kind of merch you want to make. do you want to make fanart, or original art? are you doing mostly stickers, tote bags, or anime merch? or do you just want to sell online?
second, what is your budget for merch production? starting out is expensive, personally my funds always circulate between profit and spending on restocks again. this will determine what kind of merch you can make, and then you expand later! i started out with only stickers and art prints, then keychains, and then bags and t-shirts later on!
if you're into original art, some events i recommend for beginners are Patrons of the Arts, Buzzart, Komiket. they have regular events throughout the year. if you're into stickers, there's Stickercon and Sticky Expo!
if you're into fan art, you can try ozinefest (sales are slower but table cost is cheaper), or if you have enough money, split for cosplay ph events
of course these aren't the only events, though they're the ones i regularly attend! if you have a more specialized market, there are dedicated cons like philifur, the grand lason, pokecon, etc. for all of these events you'll either have to keep your eyes peeled for table openings on their pages (rare), or email them to be added to their mailing list so you'll be told when they're open
if you don't have any suppliers yet, you can apply to join Artist Alley Group Order on facebook ! people regularly post about suppliers for all kinds of merchandise that you can look up. if you want any recommendations you can message me off-anon!
as for the merchandise itself, this varies person to person. my market is more obscure fanart that other people don't sell, and cutesy original art! i sell big illustrations as prints, though other people report on having a hard time selling prints. it depends on the content and art style. you'll have to experiment and see, or look around other shops to see what sells! visiting art markets yourself is also a huge help, to see the market, make friends in the artph community, and support artists!
i'd recommend starting out with stickers and prints- they're the cheapest to produce, and people often buy stickers because of their low price at cons. when you get more familiar with the market you can try going onto more expensive things to reproduce!
again if you want details, let me know! this is very vague and general advice, if u have any specific questions i'll do my best if i'm not busy! don't be afraid to surf thru some videos too, a lot are very helpful n not too elitist!
gl and take care aswell anon!

Hi, CC! Hope your day is going well! 😊
I saw you mention that perhaps Barbatos uses loose leaf tea rather than tea bags, and it made me wonder… Have we yet to consider if he can read tea leaves? (Or maybe that’s already a thing and I’m unaware lol)
I like to imagine that if he does, he gives little daily fortunes for MC or Diavolo, or anyone who’s curious and asks nicely. Maybe a simple morning read of the day ahead, perhaps one more in depth at night as a way to reflect on what they should be focusing on or other similar wisdoms, or even as a silly way to discreetly persuade Diavolo to finish his work because the leaves advise/encourage it lol.
I doubt he’s one to rely on superstition or divination wholeheartedly, if at all, as life is fluid and doesn’t stick to a set path and he enjoys the unknown the day could bring, but maybe he does it because of the novelty. It interests others to see him read what wisdom the leaves have for them and it allows him to partake in his hobby (as a tea enthusiast) in a more personal way. 💚
Hey there, Jo! My day has been surprisingly productive on the writing front, so I feel like I can say it's going well! I hope yours is going well, too!
Now as it happens, I did write a little drabble based on the idea that Barbatos can read tea leaves! I like to think that Barbatos finds all human methods of divination interesting. I mean, he can presumably predict the future with his own cosmic powers, but he doesn't anymore. So I think he would be fascinated to try all the different ways humans go about doing the same thing. Which means I also kinda headcanon that he can read tarot cards, maybe he even has a crystal ball, etc etc.
But there's no doubt in my mind that he would be extra interested in tea leaves. Considering how much tea he makes and drinks, he has the opportunity to read them all day every day.
I agree entirely that he likely doesn't rely on it at all, but mostly finds it interesting. I think it kind of helps him see things from the perspective of those who can't see the future using magic the way he can. I like that he sort of connects with this human custom because it helps him understand that human desire to know, to have a glimpse into a future we can't know.
And of course I think he'd find it adorable that humans use tea leaves in this way. And he probably sees how they would develop such a practice fairly easily. If they're drinking loose leaf tea as much as he does, they're seeing all those shapes, too, and wondering if there's some greater meaning.
And I LOVE the idea that he reads the leaves for Diavolo and MC. Like it's just a regular part of their daily tea experience, they don't even have to ask. Everybody else does, but he'll indulge them if they do. But for Diavolo and MC, it's like it becomes a sort of daily ritual. And I am SO HERE for him using the leaves as a way to get Dia to work lol. Like ah yes this symbol means that the day is best suited for industry, young master. And maybe Dia is onto him, but it's so cute, he never says anything.
I like the idea that he also kinda turns it more into advice than really future predictions, you know? Just because that feels like a very Barbatos thing to do.
Anyway, I love this idea, I love everything about it. I just can't imagine that there's any part of tea culture that Barbatos is not fully versed in, you know? I also like the idea that the Devildom has it's own version of such superstitions. Like maybe the symbols mean something different in the Devildom version of reading tea leaves. He's thoroughly versed in all such definitions and can read them Devildom style or human world style.

hello! i was wondering if you had any recommendations or advice on how to improve on writing milwank in my fic? you're really good at it and i am in awe. any recommended reading etc would be so appreciated!! hope you have a nice day :)
That’s very kind of you, thank you for reading my stories and telling me what you like about them! I’ll try to distill 15+ years of personal interest, family involvement, and academic study into some broad channels to check out (with the caveat that I've never been in the military or lived anywhere near a combat zone):
Nothing beats first-hand accounts, for starters. I read nonfiction, autobiographies, and memoirs, from a variety of veteran nationalities. But it doesn’t matter the war or the conflict or the branch: military experience shapes not only perspective and thinking, but also—particularly important for writing—the words one uses and how one uses them. Read or listen to enough veterans and it becomes clear which phrases and jargon are actually common currency and which are the stuff of Hollywood and bad listicles on the internet.
Speaking of Hollywood, a really approachable and digestible resource are those “experts react” videos on YouTube that poured forth during COVID. Channels found ex-service people to watch clips from movies, TV shows, and video games and rate their realism. Gamology has some of my favorite reactors. Some are better at explaining their reasoning than others, or just more engaging. Regardless, watch enough of these and you’ll feel like you have someone sitting on your shoulder as you write, guarding you against creating scenarios that are too far-fetched or just fundamentally wrong.
Another thing first-hand accounts do is prove that truth is stranger than fiction. Sometimes the unbelievable does actually happen—but it helps to know where things went wrong or sideways, so you can use similar bend and flex convincingly in your own stories.
r/militarystories on reddit is also a fantastic resource for short-read narratives that highlight military attitudes, experiences, and tribulations—as well as, yeah, wild one-of-a-kind, no-shit-there-I-was stories. The sub encourages spelling out acronyms and explaining concepts in a way that civilians can understand, so you don’t have to spend a lot of time googling things. Some of the regular contributors are published authors. It’s also well moderated and the comments on each story are usually equally rich in good jargon and humor. Great for learning more about military culture(s).
On top of this, there is so much open-source doctrinal information, depending on your stomach for dryness. I am fascinated by “admin”, so I enjoy leafing through memoranda, monographs, white papers, and manuals. Understanding certain principals, objectives, and definitions gives you a stronger understanding of what the military thinks military people are actually supposed to be doing—e.g. route clearance, infil and exfil operations, fire support—and how different military elements are integrated to achieve a goal. This really helps when building out fictional units and trying to understand what their day-to-day looks like. Learn how to give a unit's elevator pitch.
If your eyes tire, return to YouTube or Spotify. Put all those male podcasters to good use. Every ex-SEAL has their own platform now where they interview other ex-service people, and their casual dialogue is often as illuminating as their monologues about specific events. Some of these podcasts have five hour episodes. I stick ‘em on when sewing or painting, absorbing a lot of words while I work with my hands. (All my algorithms think I am a specific black gun, black coffee type of male, which is one downside of this type of media consumption.)
I also enjoy reading books by mil-adjacent folks: ex-CIA employees, UN doctors and aide workers, theatre reporters, etc. Their informed perspective and view of the impact of military operations on civil life is informative and thought-provoking.
Hope this helps, and thanks for your patience as I’ve been away for a month.

Hi Virgodoll! I gave a presentation today at work that I think I bombed it. Also, I noticed in the shoutout chart that no one gave me one, so I asked leadership if I could give myself a shoutout. They said yes, so I publicly gave myself one. It felt good to acknowledge myself when no one did.
No matter how much I practice, I just can’t seem to give presentations the way I see most professionals do. I end up smiling and kind making weird funny faces. It could come off as unserious, but I’m actually doing that to reduce my anxiety.
I’m a very articulate person, but I lose my train of thought and can’t seem to express myself when giving presentations via zoom. I mix up words, phrases, tenses, etc. it’s strange cause I’m a damn good writer! It also sucks cause I’m a Black woman and I don’t want people thinking idk what I’m talking about. I do good work, but struggle with presenting it via zoom.
I asked leadership what they thought of my presentation. They said I did very well. For some reason I feel like they are just being nice. I always feel like I’m talking gibberish whenever I’m giving presentations.
I worry about how I’m perceived at work and how everyone thinks I’m dumb and can’t speak properly. Arghhh!
Any words of encouragement, constructive criticism, and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I agree, it's good to acknowledge yourself and give yourself your flowers when no one else does. Believe me, it will happen more often than you think in the academic and corporate world.
However, I think you are falling victim to upwards comparison. What good is it to look at other people at work speak when they aren't you? They're probably boring, to be honest. While you can manage your facial expressions by doing speeches in the mirror, who told you the way you exist is wrong?
When it comes to speeches and talking to people, I just treat it like a conversation and let one thought carry me to where I need to go. I appeal to the audience I am talking to and adjust based on small pieces of information I gathered from them during a lunch break or the original interview. If you focus more on the fact that they're regular people and YOU are the star of the moment, it's easier to focus. That sounds delusional, but let it be.
It's easy to say "stop worrying how others perceive you" and I think that's a load of BS to serve that to y'all. We always worry about how we are perceived. I say focus on that anxiety and worry. Ask yourself what they could possibly be noticing. Why? Because then you can hold yourself accountable and realize that such scrutiny is coming from yourself. You are building a narrative that only exists if you plant the seed and bear fruit (***with the exception of a hostile work environment. If this environment is not hostile, and I am assuming it is fine prayerfully...);
If they say you're doing fine, affirm yourself. If they say they didn't like it, still affirm yourself and know that you're already doing well by having the guts to even go up there in the first place. Some people can't even get through a basic conversation.
Why can't you accept you did well? Perfectionism? Upbringing? Have you journaled lately? All of the picking yourself apart that you just did would be best written down in a diary so you can see how hard you are on yourself.
Regarding compliments, it's tough in the professional world, especially if you are of color. Sometimes, people don't give props because they feel like your confidence emits so loud and bright that you already know you're doing well.
Just continue asking for feedback, but also, practice your speeches and fall in love with yourself. Look at yourself and ask yourself why you hate the quirks that make you you. The idiosyncrasies you possess is actually the foundation for a memorable moment and makes people want to listen to you more. That's what makes a connection, an authentic impression, and a lasting memory... not robotic AI. Trust me - I am a Virgo lol.

🍄❄️🌿 if you want!! - @pigeonwit
(Writer ask game!)
🍄 (how did you get into writing fanfiction?)
This has...three answers, depending on how far back you want to go.
Answer 1: The first fanfiction I wrote was a cursed but hilarious Shakespeare mega-crossover that I've contemplated posting here based on a writing prompt on a sophomore year English final. I then proceeded to not write any more fanfiction (except for my Broadchurch-inspired poetry in creative writing), until...
Answer 2: At the beginning of the pandemic, I was rewatching Parks and Rec and was curious how, at one point, Ben knew about Leslie's favorite spot in City Hall. I wrote a short one-shot with my thoughts, made an AO3 account to post it, and thought I'd never use the account to post anything else, until...
Answer 3: A few months after I first watched Newsies, I thought I could fit the Newsies characters into a Much Ado About Nothing retelling pretty well--Javid as Ben and Bea, Spot and Race as Claudio and Hero, Katherine as Don Pedro, etc. My irl friend encouraged me to write it and helped with some plot stuff (Jack dressing up as Rapunzel was her idea if I remember correctly). I thought I wouldn't write anything else after that, but then I had ideas for one-shots and was kind of in a bad place mentally, so I kept going, and now here I am >140k words into the Bachelorette AU! What a time!
❄ (What's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best?)
I thought about this in the shower, and I think I'd like to see a whodunit/murder mystery fic, which seems like the sort of thing @jack-kellys would be good at. I know I certainly would not be up to writing a proper murder mystery though (despite taking an entire English class on detective fiction in high school).
(Last answer under the cut because this got long, oops)
🌿 (give some advice on writer's block and low creativity)
I know I maintain the illusion of avoiding writer's block by having a semi-regular posting schedule for the Bachelorette AU, but I am very much not immune to writer's block. Here are some things I do, with the caveat that this is just my experience and my methods do not work for everyone.
If the block is coming from feeling like I'm not sure what I'm doing in the next few scenes, I'll take a bit to figure out and write down what the next few scenes will be. These won't be super detailed, but I'll sometimes specify the POV character and usually say "xyz happens." For example, right now I have notes in my bachelorette document about who's going in the hot seat when, as well as the scenes I want to have take place after the men tell all filming wraps.
If I'm just overwhelmed, I'll take a little longer and write a list of things, in order, that need to happen in a chapter (this is what I did for each chapter for the bachelorette au). In the Much Ado adaptation, I wrote down each scene number from the play and decided which POV(s) each scene would have and in what order, which served as a reminder of what each scene focused on.
If it's just that the words won't come, I look back over what I've read, go read a book, or I just sort of force myself to plod along (with the exception of these past couple weeks, where I've been really tired from work and haven't had much time to sit down and designate Writing Time). Brute-forcing isn't for everyone, but when I'm doing that, I try not to delete what I've written and I try not to think about whether it's good, since if I don't like the scene I can go back and edit or rewrite it later. I also do sprints sometimes.
After yet another abandoned novel attempt in 2022, I never skip ahead to the scene I really want to write. I'll write down single lines or bits of dialogue, but that's it. If I skip ahead, it makes it way harder to finish the fic.

for reference; my collection of cards.  (updated 07/06/2023)
i have so many. i am planning on getting more.
asterisks mean they’re favourites. little write-ups provided, to give insight into what questions they prefer to answer and what personalities the entities/energies have. in alphabetical order, separated by type of divinatory card system.
TAROT.
Antique Anatomy: studious and spiritual; takes magic from a very scientific standpoint and encourages research. is extremely excited to help anyone on spiritual path questions, but fumbles with things about the real world. helps clarify messy and muddled feelings about magic work, but makes emotional things feel even more confusing.
Architect: very composed; a lot more emotional than i’d expected! interested in building “bridges” between people, all interpersonal relationships and “reinforcing” the spine and the inner self. good for big feelings, social issues, and self confidence; as well as for identifying obstacles that are halting momentum.
* Art Nouveau: one of my prior default decks. purchased in salem, massachusetts during my first trip. feels like a knowing mother; very connected to the divine feminine. feels very bright in terms of energy, but encourages you to touch into the darkness to understand the balance required in understanding magic fully. good for both personal and path-related questions; often very kind and sympathetic, but still offers sage advice.
Black Ritual: a gift from a friend at work. redraw of the rider-waite, feels very clean but very fight-y, justice seeker. sits at crossroads, will either give you advice or listen to you vent- either way, he’s like a good friend. very much matches your energy, but won’t bend his advice to just what you WANT to hear, only change it to be the way you might want to hear it.
Crow: takes a little bit of effort to reach into its energies, but very fun, playful, and encourages a balance between physical and spiritual. feels like a whole flock of crows, a full family dynamic too, that balances out all the different directions because of how many voices seem to be speaking at once. a little hard to pin down, but a really rewarding deck for any question you have; just be ready to pull clarifying cards.
Druidcraft: the first deck i ever received, currently unusable since two cards were ruined in a moving accident. huge stoner vibes.
Ethereal Visions: gorgeous, really serious, needs you to completely surrender your headspace over to it or else it won’t work. guardian angel energies. focused on building a strong internal self (especially a firm backbone) so that you may become a leader, or at least a trailblazer, in whatever material things you may want to pursue. mostly about building strength to withstand hardships, instead of telling you how to avoid them.
Everyday Witch: town healer vibes, older grandmother witch who’s been around the block a few times. knows about risk versus reward, interested in teaching and teaching you to teach, old in wisdom but young in joy. best used for questions where you need to be assured in your abilities, regardless of where they are; as well as general questions about the path if you want to learn something useful.
Guardian of the Night: like the crow tarot, but more focused. also feels like several entities, but unlike the crows, they speak with one voice. feels very urgent in whatever it says. interested in big catastrophes- if you’re in your tower era, this is a good deck to call on. good at mixing pep talks with advice, very encouraging to move, extremely instinct-based.
* Herbcrafter’s: fun dual-use deck. half regular tarot, half herbs and medicine oracle deck, makes for a fun spread no matter what. GOLDEN GIRL ENERGY. older woman who loves herself and wants you to love yourself, too. self love, self care, self protection, self discovery, self confidence- it is all about you, and becoming someone that other people want to ask advice from. really good for any question; makes you feel good coming out of the reading.
* Hush: incredible vibes. i use this deck as my namesake for my main blog. feels like walking into a deep, dark wood that you don’t belong in. does not do well with more trivial day-to-day questions; it wants to dig into the soil of your soul. will not give you an answer if you aren’t ready for it. mostly for the spiritual. dances along the edge of the veil, and encourages a deeper understanding of magic.
Inversion: feminine tomboy energy; kind of a take-no-shit kind of chick, will not really offer emotional support but will tell you exactly what you need to know. better for day-to-day questions, especially ones revolving around working, careers, or craftsmanship. based off the marsailles style of tarot, so a little different from the rest of my decks.
Modern Witch: fun, but a little shallow. for low-stress questions. very fluffy, probably not best for serious path-related questions, but will offer good direction if you’re a little scattered in your real life. be advised that it’s always going to direct you to the option that brings the most pleasure; not necessarily the best one in the long run.
* Murder of Crows: extremely powerful deck. i cried actual tears the first time i used it. death and rebirth. if you have gone through something difficult, or feel stuck in the dark, this deck will hold your hand through the hard shit. better used after the hard times, so it can get you out of the wreckage. deeply personal. deeply magical. i must reiterate the power that radiates from this deck.
Murder of Crows (Limited Print Red Edition): this one feels like the more positive sibling to the original murder of crows deck; once the first brother has gotten you out of the wreckage, this one kinda helps you to stay in the good times without sliding back. older brother passes your hand to younger sister. not as powerful, but works well in tandem with the other.
Mystic Dreamer: not a fan of the art style, hard to connect to. feels conflicting in its advice, too; aware of the need for plans, but consistently warns that plans never go to- well, plan. strict in terms of logical over emotional. i don’t know what kind of question this deck would be best for.
Occult: deck of demons. literally made of demons. was not aware that it was meant to be used for summoning demons when i purchased it in a large lot. useful for seeking out important people in your life. i am genuinely too scared to work with this deck without my boyfriend (who’s worked with demons before) present to make sure i don’t fuck up somehow. it sure does feel like a bunch of demons in there! for sure!
* Rider-Waite Mini: the default deck i use- not because it’s a rider waite, but because it’s the deck i use to communicate with my deity, cernunnos. if you don’t specify your deck, there’s a high chance i’ll be using this one! i carry it with me at all times (unless i forget to swap it into a new bag if i change purses).
Spiritsong: eclectic animal commune. similar to guardians in the sense that each card is related to an animal, but a much softer energy. hippy vibes; not quite stoner like the druidcraft deck, but very peaceful and indulgent in a way. instinctual, but not intense. light and airy. probably best for making decisions; will guide you towards the answer you kind of always wanted in the first place, and encourage you to allow yourself to want things.
Tattoo: very dulled energy, hard to harness
* Urban: my favourite modern deck. very much feels like you’ve found a beating heart in the centre of a metropolis and it’s pulling on everything to answer you. a little bit hectic, but definitely useful in finding what path you’re meant to walk; think of it as a subway system, and it’s giving you directions.
Wildwood: new deck, never used
Wild Unknown: new deck, never used
Wizard: made by the same people as mystic dreamer, and has the same issues.
Zombie: my least favourite deck of all time. the second one i ever got. i keep it for laughs mostly, and also to point at when people ask which is my least favourite.
ORACLE.
* Celtic Tree: really in-depth, super interesting system. CANNOT be read in a typical spread; requires its own long-form system of wheels that takes hours. i still do love it, though.
Crystal Wisdom Healing: i’ve had it for a very long time, usually works better as a supplement to a reading from another deck
Flowers: new deck, never used
Green Witch: fun vegetables! need to dig my hands into it a little more, though.
Hedgewitch Botanical: new deck, never used
Prism: new deck, never used
Seasons of the Witch Samhain: new deck, never used
* Wild Unknown Animal Spirit: outstanding vibes, really motivational but still balancing.
LENORMAND.
Golden: more classic style, not a huge fan but definitely says what it means.
Green Glyphs: beautiful soft and smooth art, just haven’t fully clicked in for me yet.
* Red Hand: my first lenormand deck, gorgeous art, feels super blunt in a really fun way.

with the fires happening in california and australia rn, i'm gonna give yall some advice from someone who's lived in a fire-prone country their whole life and has been taught what to do in a bushfire from a fairly young age.
Have copies of your documents put aside with any important belongings in a separate box. In this box, include any documents you may need if you have to leave your home (birth certificate, passport, drivers license, other government id), some cash (in case there's a power outage, which is common in hot areas, or if there's businesses that won't take card), water and food (nonperishable food, and preferably stuff that doesn't need cooking), spare clothes, a first aid kit, medications you need, and any valuables you may want to bring.
Check said box regularly and update or take stuff out. I would also recommend having a go bag; a backpack or other bag with stuff that's not 100% necessary but still nice to have. This is where you can and should store any devices you're deadset on bringing.
Get a radio. Either a regular one or a walkie-talkie style one, but make sure it's battery operated if you can, or have a charger that you can plug into your car (if you have a car)
Wear wool clothes. This one may seem a bit odd, but in case you didn't know, polyester melts rather than burns. If you are caught in a fire, the polyester can very easily melt into your skin and cause issues. I've seen this happen with burns from campfires and cooking, it always needs to be seen by a doctor. Wool, on the other hand, is a natural fibre and burns instead. If you're also surrounded by smoke without a mask, you can dampen it and hold it over your nose and mouth. This will help to filter out the smoke slightly.
Wear a mask. Seriously, even without there being a fire nearby (objectively) there are often days where I, as someone living in a major city, will need to wear a mask because of the smoke. This is doubly so for anyone with any kind of issue with your lungs.
Get a hold of some ventolin. In Australia, this is over the counter medication. It may just be personal experience, but even without being asthamatic, sometimes ventolin can help you breath a lot easier.
If you are caught in the path of the fire, try to head downhill. Fire travels incredibly fast uphill, it is slower going downhill. If you can stay inside, try to make sure it's a brick building.
have multiple evacuation routes. If you have multiple routes away from your home, you know the best way out even if one route is blocked
speaking of evacuating, do it. When you get the warning, get out. Genuinely, if the fire danger is bad enough for evacuation, it is serious.
Have a paper map. And a compass. You can't always rely on power, so it's useful to be able to read a map.
keep yourself and your companions hydrated. Keep extra water in your vehicle if you can.
Know your neighbours, and keep in contact with them. It will make it far easier to know who's where and if anyone is missing.
Check up on others. If you have relatives in a fire-prone area, make sure they have a safe place to go. If you're in a fire-prone area, make sure you have a safe place to go.
during the off-season, when there aren't fires, maintain gardens and local areas to ensure the best chance of survival; build firebreaks, encourage your community to do planned burns, etc.
Finally, make sure to take care of others! if your neighbours don't have a car, check if you have room to help them evacuate. If you have elderly neighbours, see if you can get in touch with their relatives and make sure they're safe.

This change is due to the comfort, familiarity, and personal attention of home care. Female nurses, therefore, play a critical role in this shift because not only do they give medical support but also emotional support which encourages recovery and wellness.
One main reason families choose female nurse for home care is their kind and caring support. Their understanding nature helps patients feel more relaxed and safe, especially in delicate situations. Female caregivers are usually the first choice for women patients who feel better talking about personal health issues with a female professional. This cultural and personal preference makes the caregiving experience feel more comfortable and trustworthy.
Care Health Nurses offer services that meet different healthcare needs. One of the most popular services is post-surgery care, where trained nurses help patients recover by taking care of wounds, managing medication schedules, and checking health regularly. For older patients, home care services provide support for daily activities and medical needs, allowing them to live with dignity in a place they know.
Another significant part of home care nursing services is chronic disease management. Patients, who suffer from diabetes or hypertension or arthritis, profit a lot with regular medical care from skilled nurses. Such carers help patients keep up a stable and healthy way of life by watching signs of health and giving them medications. In palliative care, Care Health Nurses provide excellent care for terminally ill patients. They center on pain management and provision of emotional support to ameliorate the quality of life for both patients and their families.
Care Health Nurses offer a very important service, which is maternal and child care. New mothers are usually in need of health advice on how to take care of their babies. From support after giving birth to checking on newborns, trained female nurses make sure both mother and child stay healthy and safe during this important time.
Care Health Nurses are distinct; they always focus on quality and professionalism. All their female nurses are certified, well-trained, and experienced in dealing with various medical situations. They work together with families for care plans that match the specific needs for each patient. The way they provide care ensures that patients receive the best care while still maintaining their comfort and dignity.
One of the major advantages of home care nursing services is that people heal in a place they know. It has been observed that patients recover faster and less stress when they are under care at home. Chances of getting infections from the hospital also decrease due to home nursing, especially for those having weak immune systems. This can also benefit the family in that the family can assist in caring for their relatives at home. It thus creates an idea of togetherness and mutual support.
Female nurses provide more than medical care; they offer emotional support to patients, which is so crucial in dealing with long-term illnesses or in post-surgery recovery. They are so skillful at relating personally to the patient that the environment of care can become comforting and encouraging toward healing. This full package in terms of caring makes home nursing services such a sought-after choice among families.
Another essential factor to consider when considering healthcare options is cost. Care Health Nurses ensures that their services are affordable and transparent, without hidden fees and fair prices. Families can focus on caring for their loved ones without breaking the bank. Additionally, their care is available 24/7, so help is only a phone call away, no matter what time it is.
Choosing the right home care provider is a critical decision that greatly affects the lives of patients and their families. Care Health Nurses are professionals who want to help, so with them, families can be confident they are getting great care. Whether it’s for short-term recovery or long-term medical help, their services are made to fit the specific needs of each patient.
