PSA: CAT MEDICAL BILL SCAM

Please signal boost this if possible to inform your followers about these scams.

Earlier today, I got a message from the account nicole-loves-king, where they asked me to signal boost a post because their cat needed medical help. Here's the ask:

I looked at this post and was immediately put off because they were asking for people to send things through 'friends and family', which if you aren't aware, is a very insecure way to send someone funds using paypal, because you don't have the protections you would get if you used 'goods and services'. So scammers can make off w your money really easily.

I looked at their blog and scrolled down to the end, and I realized their blog was made today! And, all their posts (there weren't many posts to begin with lol) were of trending topics. I noted puss in boots, and welcome to nightvale among others. This is probably how they found me, because I reblogged some of that stuff recently.

Here's the time stamp from their oldest post (notice it says the time, not the date, which means the post was from today):

In their ask, they also tell you to answer privately. Hm, that seems sus. Why would someone not want you to publish a request for help?

So I have a policy where I don't signal boost posts from brand new blogs because, yknow, they could be scams. I posted this, and the scam account blocked me. They also blocked my friend when they replied to their ask and said their blog looked suspicious. I did some more digging, and I found a comment from someone that confirmed my suspicions:

This is in fact a scam!

@nicstonka is almost identical to the above account (nicole-loves-king). Look at the avatar, the pictures, and the paypal address, both accounts even have 'nic' (as in 'nicole') in the name. The only thing that is extremely different is the name of the cat! Yet both blogs also have the name of the cat in their url ('king' and 'tonka'). That should also be a red flag, because usually someone isn't gonna have the name of their pet in their url, only a few posts, and a signal boost for that exact (fake) pet.

So if you see any blogs like this, where all they have is trending posts, it seems like they've copied and pasted an ask to you, or if they're asking you to send things via friends and family, vet them so so so carefully, because chances are you're walking into a scam. Don't just repost things without carefully checking! If you aren't in a position to check carefully, better safe than sorry: don't repost it! Don't let these scams spread.

Pro tip: If a blog is dash only, so you can't view their archive to see when their first post was made, and you're on desktop, you can just open the blog in its dashboard view, then click 'end' on your keyboard over and over until all their posts are loaded. Usually if it's a spam blog, you'll only need to click 'end' 5-6 times, sometimes a bit more, since they only post just enough times to give the appearance they're active, then there's absolutely nothing after that.

If you want more proof someone is a scammer, you can look at the currency they use their post (or the currency shown in the vet bill), then hover over the paypal link and inspect the part of the url that says 'country.x=AA'. The 'AA' is the abbreviation for the country your money is going to! If that country doesn't match the country of the currency shown in the post, it's a scam! Example: someone's post says '$' for USD/CAD dollars, but the country in their paypal link is 'PH', which stands for Philippines, where they use Philippine pesos, not dollars!

Also keep in mind that these are not bots! There is a real person behind these accounts. They have replied to people who wanted to confirm they were real, but their intentions are still to scam you, they just know it looks better if they reply.

Learning to Cook Like a Witch: The Absolute Beginning

So, you're looking to dip your toes into kitchen witchery, but you have zero experience cooking. Or, maybe you have experience that's not so great or that wasn't informative. Or, maybe you just don't know where to start, because no one ever taught you how to cook.

Great! Cooking can be intimidating to even approach when you're not used to it. I'm lucky in that I grew up cooking with my family and had the chance to take several cooking-based classes in high school. Not everyone has that sort of opportunity, so I'd like to pass on my experience to others!

(Note that you definitely don't need to be the best cook in the world to be a kitchen witch. No one's perfect! But it's okay to want to improve your skills, too.)

If you want to learn to cook, the first step is to familiarize yourself with the basic terms, measurements, and tools you'll be working with. Start with the following:

Learn the names and uses of the tools in your kitchen (for example, spatulas for spreading frosting vs. spatulas for flipping burgers)

Measurement conversions (how many teaspoons in a tablespoon, how many tablespoons in a cup, etc.)

Familiarize yourself with commonly used measurement phrases such as "dash" and "pinch," and learn exactly what they mean by that

Abbreviations for measurements (teaspoon = tsp = t, tablespoon = tbsp = T, etc.)

Various cooking terminology and the difference between terms, such as the difference between mixing, creaming, folding, and emulsifying

Read recipes and look up words you're not familiar with

Knife safety! Learn how to hold a knife properly and cut things without risking your fingers, and also learn how to keep your knives sharp. Remember, a sharp knife is a safe knife!

Once you've got knife safety down, learn how to cut an onion - dice, chop, and slice your way to delicious victory!

Learn fire, oven, and stovetop safety!

Familiarize yourself with what's in your spice cabinet; taste things if you've never had them, and look up common recipe usages for them

Learn about the Maillard reaction (this is what turns meat brown!)

Familiarize yourself with common substitutions, such as for cornstarch, buttermilk, and shortening/lard

Start with simple recipes; many chefs say you should start with omelets, white sauce, and homemade stock, and I tend to agree. Learning just these three things teaches a number of techniques that translate to a hundred other recipes!

Eat more food! Try new flavors, experiment with dishes from restaurants, ask questions about what's in what you're eating. Sample dishes and spice combinations from other cultures. Smell things before you eat them. Think about the flavors and how they're working together.

Watch videos from cooks on YouTube, or watch cooking tv shows! Honestly, Alton Brown's Good Eats was a foundational influence for me as a child, and I cut my teeth on Food Network. YouTube-wise, try Basics with Babish!

Pick a recipe you think looks good or that you've had before and just make it! Simple as that, just follow the recipe. Get the ingredients, follow the steps, eat the food!

Not everything you make is going to be good. And that's fine! Learn what went wrong and why. Figure out what tastes good and what doesn't. Let other people try your food and give you honest feedback. If you think your taste buds are biased or not "good enough," having someone else tell you "this needs more salt" or "this is really balanced" or "this would go nicely over rice instead of potatoes" is powerful.

Remember that you're learning. Look things up. Fuck up a recipe. Burn something. Realize you're missing an ingredient and figure out a substitute last minute. Leave something out, put something else in. Taste, taste, taste. Taste everything. Every time you put something in or complete a step, taste it. So long as it's not going to be a health hazard (such as with raw meat), taste it.

Take your time with it. Cooking is a skill that's earned over time via trial and error. Know that you're not alone in your worry and struggle. Millions of home cooks have stood where you stand, spoon in hand and apron tied tight. Practice, practice, practice.

Once you understand cooking by itself, you can more easily incorporate magic and weave spells into your meals, which I'll cover in another post, since this one is already quite long.

Notes: .... :3 HOPE YOU ENJOY❗❗I'm still sick rip, but tried to make these as good as possible <3

- Blitzo is a dad caregiver, so he ofcourse makes loona your big sister <3 So yes, family nights do happen. and he will burst into happy tears if you call him or loona any abbreviation of family- (Call him dada, papa, or just dad and he'll actually explode.)

- Blitzo is an overprotective caregiver, he takes his role as your caregiver very seriously and practically starts barking at people who look at you the wrong way. He's not afraid to get in a fist fight if anyone says anything against your regression.

- When he hugs you, his tail wraps around you to make you two feel closer <3 His tail will either wrap around your waist/tummy or it'll wrap around your wrist, on that note when you two are going out he usually has his tail wrapped around your wrist to keep track of you (Basically his own version of a child leash-)

- Probably gives you a nickname where he just takes your name and adds a y to the end, also calls you his baby 24/7 !!

- Does hold onto everything incase you regress suddenly, Blitzo isn't embarrassed by carrying around your stuff animal or your paci if you want it !! You regress and he's pulling items out of his jacket like a magician. "okay take your paci and your stuffie and your bottle- wait no, fu*k, I need the bottle to feed you, take your other stuffie-"

- Gets jealous easily, will never leave you to be babysat and will actually explode if someone takes care of you for more then two seconds. They picked you up? Blitzo is tweaking out, he's the only one allowed to pick you up! "PUT MY BABY DOWN YOU MOTHERFUC-"

- Constantly praising you for being the cutest and littlest baby ever, practically is a grandma with how much he squeezes and pinches your cheeks. If anyone wants to know where he is, he's probably cooing at you.

- Blitzo will watch kid movies with you, like Disney movies, however will criticize them. Has a thing against Cinderella for some reason??- but he loves it, especially when you sit on his lap as you two are on the couch together. Totally lets you play with his tail absentmindedly

- I don't think Blitzo is absolutely amazing at cooking as he never really bothered to learn, but he can make simple things. Usually just buys you dino nuggets and some other stuff and calls it a day, but he does make cute little scenes with the food- Like a dino on the beach using mashed potatoes. Probably somehow gets really mushy with it, I mean like makes ketchup hearts.

- When you're younger however, he's the absolute gentlest. Has a gentle grip on your bottle and your head as he tilts it back to feed you, probably even spoils you with strawberry milk sometimes. Also when he buys you baby food, he does infact try some- he swears it was to encourage you! (Also he was curious but- hey don't giggle at him!)

- If you can't tell, Blitzo takes every chance to tell you he loves you and he always, always means it. He loves taking care of you, and has no shame in your regression like mentioned before. He will brag about you being the cutest baby though, gives children dirty looks still. "..Not as cute as my baby."

- This also means you have him wrapped around your finger, You want that thing?? He's bought two and they are in your favorite colors. You can get away with breaking rules- although Blitzo isn't a strict caregiver so there's not alot of rules to break, minus bedtime.. But he won't punish you, he'll probably just make you sleepy by cuddling or warm milk- or sleepy time music as he calls it.

- Blitzo doesn't stop swearing around you, however he doesn't make any lewd jokes and he will fight anyone who does around you. Gets all dramatic and everything, covers your ears and looks at them with an absolute shocked look. A hypocrite when he comes to you.. "How dare you say that around my baby! They are too young for this-"

- Will not let you ignore your regression. Oh you are too busy? With what? Oh with your work- he's finished it. Oh you are stressing- all the more reason to regress! And yes he will gently trick you into regressing if absolutely necessary. Although he isn't the best at doing it secretly, especially when he tries to half-baby you but.. Ohmygoodnessyouaresoadorable so he ends up just babying you-

- Totally the type of caregiver to sit on the edge of your bed and read you a story, probably even gets you those lights that spin around the room and show cool shapes to help you sleep. However if you can't sleep, he'll totally stay up and cuddle with you <3 Snuggles right into your bed, pulls the blankets over you two and gently rubs your back as he waits for you to fall asleep.

But he ends up falling asleep with you, he feels so much more better knowing his baby is in his arms and safe.

Fuck Mr. or Mrs., here're the abbreviations I like (that no one will really ever use for me, but I can dream):

- Mx. -> Pretty standard, most folks default to it when they learn I'm nonbinary. Awkward for me to say cause it just feels like Ms. with a harder end sound and my words usually flow together, making Mx just sound like Ms anyway, but it's still okay. 5/10, average.

- M. -> I actually really like M. Fenn [lastName] written out, but "mist" has a similar (if not as bad) speaking downside as Mx. No one really uses it automatically, so I'd have to explain to folks irl, but it's not that complicated. +2 points since I like the neutrality of M vs Mr or Ms, but -0.5 points because of the lingering verbal awkwardness, so 6.5/10.

- Mm. -> "Mistrum" is a lot more distinctly different from "mister" or "miss" (especially with my accent), but the humps in Mm blur before my eyes in a way M and Mx don't. Still weird, but not that bad. 6/10.

- Title (Dr., teacher, etc) -> Takes work to earn, but absolutely wonderful once it's gotten. It has the benefit of being completely gender neutral without being confusing to others, so it's a good way to hide transness from the cis folks. It also doesn't require much thought about your own gender in the first place—if you earned it, you get to use it automatically—but because of that, it's not necessarily gender-affirming. 9.5/10.

- None -> What most folks use since no one's really using honorifics for a college student. Not very gender, but also not bad gender. 4/10.

- Mw. (Meow/Mew) -> I'm just a cat in a dog body <3 Definitely makes the ears tingle with good gender/species vibe, but much harder to explain to folks. Fits the Mr and Ms dichotomy, though. 9/10 out of sheer euphoria.

- Tm. (Tom) -> Just a more explicitly masculine version of Mw. Doesn't fit as well with Ms and Mr, but also the difference helps show that it's its own thing. I feel catlike but not as much like a tomcat, though, so it gives a little less euphoria. (I feel like a couple of cats from the Cats musical would use Tm though.) 7/10

Watched up until ep 9 so here are more of my abbreviated thoughts, don't want to make this ask too long but many thoughts head never empty about this show and my babygirls.

Ep 5: god what an episode, the official and final break up of my best girls. The scene where Alicent walks into the banquet in that green dress: lifechanging, actual chills, that scene is sooo good and other people don't seem to care about it as much as I do from what I saw online but like that scene is insane, I want to live inside of it; the meaning of the colours, the declaration of war, THE MUSIC (!!)

Ep 6: the shift to the older actors oooh we're here, they're both so excellent and just the tension in this episode, like that's sexual the small council scene uuhm Alicent babes look away and Rhaenyra stop touching that ball there is a touch starved lesbian across from you have some decorum (also Alicent was at her most bitchy (affectionate) this episode and I kind of lived for it)

Ep 7: THE episode. Now why did I have to see that Dae/myra sex scene?? Controversial opinion: the knife scene was more sexual than the Dae/myra sex scene, something something stabbing as a metaphor for gay sex, stabbing your homoerotic situationship after breaking up 10 years ago something something. WHERE IS DUTY WHERE IS SACRIFICE - Olivia that entire scene, yeah I was captivated (also Otto being proud, oh the toxic generational abuse continues yes tragedy)

Ep 8: Viserys losing an eye after not giving a shit Aemond lost an eye and not doing anything, oh I call that poetic justice. Rhaenicent making soft eyes at each other oh the gays are at it again, who let them out? The children continuing their fighting because of the damage their mothers already did, oh the generational conflict continues, cannot bury the hatchet when you have sown hate for years

Ep 9: no one seems to agree online from what I saw, but honestly maybe one of my favourite episodes of the season, maybe that is because I adore Alicent and this episode was all about her in my opinion. The scene between Rhaenys and Alicent, loved that, they could not have played that scene any gayer but maybe that's just me. Otto calling Alicent out about her feelings surrounding Rhaenyra, like at this point the closet is glass sweetie. "Childhood companion", the subtext is there if they ever make it maintext I will sob.

Question: I know the actors have discussed the queer subtext but have any of the writers or directors ever hinted at it as well? It can't be all coincidental right?

ep6 – EMMA AND OLIVIA 🫶 both their introductions are incredible and i'm forever thankful they were cast <3 the small council scene is insane 😵‍💫

ep7 – soooo true this is THEEE episode!!! although ofc every time i think of this episode i redact the dae/myra sex scene bc poor rhaenyra has been thru so much she doesnt need that as well!! also your opinion is not controversial, rhaenicent absolutely have more chemistry, both emma and olivia's performances in that scene are insane god i love them (bonus: the script from the scene)

ep8 – i loveeeee this episode sooo much, their children are so poisoned against each other but alicent and rhaenyra cannot help but want to mend their relationship like they yearn for each other so deeply they'll never be free!!!! also aemond is my best friend in this episode i love him <3

ep9 – i love this episode too!!! i don't necessarily subscribe to any "team" but the targtowers are just much more interesting than all of the team black characters (excluding rhaenyra) and i love seeing the inner-workings of the green council. also aegon's coronation scene is so incredible oh tgc the actor you are!!! and "you imbecile" being unscripted like oh that shit is insane 😵‍💫

to answer your question about the writers/directors supporting rhaenicent, yes they do! i'll put some quotes under the cut <3

My 2 last severance thoughts for now:

1. Cobel is so deep in the Lumon cult because a loved one (could be a partner or mother, but I really like the daughter theory since that could be hinted at by her moonlighting as a lactation consultant) was left braindead, or just extremely ill, and Lumon has her in their possession, probably to run severance tests with, like with Gemma (whom I’m also assuming was left braindead from the accident, and maybe her body was donated to science or they straight up paid off the hospital and took her). That’s why she’s so intent on learning more about reintegration, because she wants to hope that there’s some way for loved one to remember her and get her memories back, even after being braindead. This is why she keeps putting Gemma and Mark together, and when Gemma says that she feels attached to him and is unsure why, she smiles! Because it’s proof “love transcends severance”, and she was braindead, so she was able to access at least a little bit of those memories or feelings somehow. You’ll also note that she wants to find out who did the reintegration for petey, but even though she surely has a good idea who it was, and knows graner was most definitely murdered by her, she doesn’t pursue punishing her. She’s either actually on her side, or she wants to join her side. Regardless, I’m positive that she’s only with Lumon for this reason and it explains her actions.

2. I’ve seen a lot of people saying that the work they do is complete bullshit just to see how they handle certain tasks. They’re lab rats, which makes a lot of sense with how the offices are laid out like mazes. And I absolutely believe that at least some of the shit they’re doing is just to judge their reactions; after all, you’d think they’d have been more on their ass for not hitting quota. I’m not saying that theory is bad, I do enjoy it, and wouldn’t mind it going in that direction. But I personally think that the numbers they’re sorting are… people’s brains. They put them in boxes based off the 4 tempers kier never shut up about. Maybe they’re literally planning to make livestock humans like they joked in the first episode - humans fully formed without the tempers (that constitute a human soul) making them the perfect workers that they can abuse as they see fit. Or maybe they’re helping make the implants better, for cases like Gemma and Cobel’s loved one. I don’t know, but I think the tempers match up with the moods the numbers give.

Oh one last thing, the board is just the uploaded or revolving Eagans or whatever the fuck they’re doing. It’s never called board of directors, just board. I know it’s common for people to abbreviate it as just the board, but i want to wager that board actually stands for motherboard, and cobel might not even be fully aware of that. Hell, to tie that in, maybe the numbers they’re sorting are for making an artificial consciousness for the current ceo, Jame, so he can revolve. There’s so much talk about perpetuity and legacy, there’s no way immortality isn’t a goal here.

So, I think Lumon’s 2 main goals are to create the ultimate workforce (and money), and to make the Eagans immortal.

Here's my stream of consciousness I promised🙃

I couldn't make it short, so I'm writing looonggg.

To avoid confusion, I do not abbreviate names.

I don’t know how accurately and in detail I can describe my theory, but I’ll try. English not my native language. I'll start with the main thing - Connor is a classic case of a monogamous man. Unfortunately, it is T who is “the love of his life.” And, although Connor says in his blog"Letting go" that he “buried” it all, he is being disingenuous).

In 2018, during a discussion on gg(gurugossiper), someone wrote: Unfortunately, once Troye and Jacob break up Connor will immediately try to get Troye back".... But, as we see, this obviously did not happen then, in 2020.

I believe what Connor said on the podcast with Shannon: they didn't communicate or talk in any way for years and years.

Then, in December 2019, Connor tweeted: "Still hurts, but no longer broken". Apparently he just found out that t and j broke up.

One would think that Connor had overcome his pain and the crisis had passed.

But "House fires" is coming out in 2021.

On the pages of which Connor, as he himself says, "spilled all his blood".

In one of the interview Connor said, that he is "wasn't in love for six years".

I agree that Connor would like to have Troye back in 2019-20, return at least as a friend.

I'm sure this poem in NTS: “a lover once, a friend forever” is not an empty phrase for Connor. Not then, not now - never. Why then, after the separation of t and j, does he not make an attempt to bring Troye back into his life? I think this is a public slap from Troye: songs The Good Side and Plum.

I think the trauma from this still hasn't gone away, and "song in Target" which Connor is talking about with Shannon - it's TGS. The reference to it is also heard in the HF trailer: "trying to hard to be a bad guy sprint away from MY GOOD SIDE".

Connor was deeply wounded again by Troye, and this wound gave rise to that new round of torment that we see in HF.

He then writes about love, “ready to do anything just to breathe his head"💞, then almost curses the day Troye was born: "you lied to me again and again", "false hope is cruel", "unhealthy relationship".☠..It moving in a circle ...

Now a little about chapter 14.

Lord, this is just a monogamous truth! He did not abandon them only because he discovered their imperfections (although that too). Just Connor, who has known unconditional, elemental love, he is not someone who knows how to love rationally, out of his head. He felt the difference too well.

As an honest man, he ended it because he knew that he would not give anyone anything similar.

In short, he abandoned them because they were not Troye.🤷‍♀️

Not Troye, feelings for whom in Connor's head and heart  had a huge spectrum and were more than alive. And Connor's boyfriends, for their part, also saw this in him: there is someone who is absolute for him. Connor has a standard, ideal image of love, which is difficult to fight.

Still, I loudly applaud Connor's tenacity for the fact that he is trying to change this reality. I'm rooting for him like a football fan in the stands💪

Connor write: "I need someone new who will love me the same way I once loved you".

He craves unconditional, blind love. Perhaps those guys weren't capable of it🤔

I hope, !I hope!! this new guy H is capable of that kind of love.

Connor needs to be warmed up with absolute love, accepting him whole with its heavy trail from the past like this. Such a person will have a shining chance to live a long, happy life with C, because he was created to be a husband, created for marriage.

I wish H not to give up!

Now again about something unpleasant, that is, about TGS.

Troye did a Jesuitical thing by releasing this song (and Plum). And in many interview he kept throwing punches.

For starters, why did he write it?

As a response to NTS? Yes. But also he was mad that J was hated after nts.

T wanted to teach the fandom a lesson, but the main blow fell on Connor.

Silly fans in the end praised "a letter of apology", were touched by Troye's tears, forgetting that Sivan is a good actor😏.

TGS actually had nothing to do with the apology but was something the opposite. Mockery and petty revenge. Hiding behind a pleasant melody and the words "apologize,sympathize", song exist as pure poison.

Troye calculated everything exactly, deceived the audience, and poured fresh poison on Connor's old wound. I watched Genius for a long time, and recently I rewatched it. And I didn’t just ask if Connor communicated with Leland and Allie after the release of tgs.

What Troye does: at the very beginning of the review he says: "my friends and long-term co-authors L and A, we wrote that song"...Why is he saying this, assuming he's talking to Connor? Because this is not said to Connor. I think by that time C knew who the authors were.

T tells this to the fans who knew that L and C were communicating and continued to be friends. He covers up his vile act with L's complicity in it. And at the same time trying to undermine C’s trust in friends, many of whom rallied around C after T and C breakup.

On the podcast with Shannon C says he lost faith in a lot of his friends back then. I think it was after tgs that he stopped communicating with L and others(

He also says there that he “doesn’t want to make himself a victim, clearly reproaching C for making himself a victim.

I just want to kill him for the line about the "rings".😡 Like per line: "the world sang along to it falling apart". Considering that on tour he also pointed his finger at J, performing "for him."🤬

And timing. On Genius T says that BN already contained breakup songs. But BN came out on December 3, 2015. C's the entire X feed  is in album support posts. NEW Year holyday 2015-16 - C with Troye and his family in Australia,...And he doesn't look abandoned)))

February 1, 2016 - last Snapchat: cheerful Connor with beer, L and T.

11 february ⏩2019 - instagram T, 3rd anniversary of T&J. In fact, I think the segment is even smaller. It was C's tweet or tmblr post 4 february, like "everything is bad"((

WEEK! Just a week, which Troye in tgs tries to present as a loooooong period. TGS full of lie.

It's not surprising that Troye abstracts himself from that period and from BN.

But i think final piunt put OUT interview. End of March 2016. After this, Connor writes: “you made me feel like I don’t understand what".

I've been talking about tgs for so long because I think  that the entire HF book grew out of this wound. If tgs hadn't happened, Connor would have reconciled with Troye immediately after T and J broke up.

Of course he aimed at Jacob with these p*rno-effects. And he definitely hit Connor. I'm really sorry that he sees this. Sometimes Troye seems hopelessly stupid to me. Jacob hasn't given a damn for a long time( and I think he always has).

No matter how hard I looked, I couldn’t see even 10% of that feeling onJ's face (which Connor's face was reduced to).

I think what's happening now is the delayed release of tgs: Connor has dealt with the pain and wants to bring Troye back to his reality. I'm not saying he's stalking Troye, but he definitely doesn’t want to be erased from T's memory and life.

What did Connor see in Troye's eyes when they met in 2022? What could they “talk about for a long time”? I pray to God that Troye apologizes for tgs. And I'm sure Connor has made it clear that he's willing to listen to Troye forever.

Connor never separated himself from Troye, and stopped fighting it. You don't have to be a great physiognomist to see how his face lights up when he talks about Troye.

On the other hand, what did Troyе see in Connor's eyes?

Himself, as if in a distorting mirror? LOVE that can't be killed by anything, and T was scared?

I don't understand Troye's behavior. And his management.

Wow, I don't think I've ever received such a long ask. It’s amazing how you were able to articulate your thoughts in such detail. Thank you for taking the time to do that. While I don’t agree with everything you said, that’s okay. We don’t always have to agree on everything, and like you mentioned, these are your theories and assumptions. Who am I to tell you what to believe?

However, I’d like to share my opinion on the idea of "T being the love of his life." I just can’t agree with that. I don’t believe in the notion of someone being "the love of your life." If they really were, they’d still be in your life. The love of your life wouldn’t hurt you to the point where you lose all trust in finding love again. I think sometimes people tend to glorify a person after the fact, focusing on the good memories while overlooking the pain they caused. This applies to both Connor and T. If either of them ever thought they’d found the "love of their life" but then lost it, I believe they're just wrong to even think that.

I also don’t think Connor is trying to get back with T. I’m not sure why T isn't performing any songs from BN, but maybe those songs just don’t fit his current vibe anymore. I doubt Connor had any influence over that decision, and I don’t believe he has the power to dictate what T can or can’t perform, especially when it comes to T’s management.

To be honest, I’ve never cared much about T or his ex. I don’t even follow what they’re doing in life. I only have some idea about T because of the information I get from these asks. As for T trying to get back with his ex or whatever, I really don’t care. From the bottom of my heart, I just hope Connor never associates himself with T, their relationship, or their circle of friends and family ever again.

Next time, please continue to use abbreviations because, at this point, we all know who we're talking about. How long is it again? How much time will this take me?

1,121,311 words (which is pretty long)! If you follow my schedule, you will be reading an average 11,000 words a day (exact numbers depends on chapter length), for 101 days. This is a similar pace to reading a book the same length as A Picture of Dorian Gray per week. Note that for the first two fics in the series, it's a bit higher (~14-15k per day), and lower for the third fic (~16k every two days) Another good frame of reference for word count would be the complete Potter series. (I am loath to even acknowledge JK, but this is a good way to put the length in perspective, as most people are familiar with the series). Of course, these examples are all different reading levels, and how long it takes will ultimately depend on your own reading speed

Can anyone join?

The fics in this series are rated mature to explicit, so I do ask that you do not join if you are under the age of 18. Since this will be my first time reading through as well, I am not familiar enough with the material to say whether it is suitable for minors. Other than that, pretty much anyone is welcome! You do not need to follow me or anyone else (though you might want to follow this blog for updates).

When does it start? What's the exact timeline?

The discussion for chapter one will start on May 22nd, and the final chapter will finish on August 30th. This gives people a little time to get the word out, or get a head start on reading! it's fun! there's a lot of extra steps you can add in if you want to, but the absolute basics of it is just dump a bunch of paper strips into a bin, fill it with water, wait until it breaks up enough for your liking, then dunk some kind of stiff screen into it (horizontally) so you can pull out even layers of pulp to dry somewhere.

honestly so valid, he's basically a character brand to me (like hello kitty or rilakkuma). I'm probably biased, but I feel like the best games to start with are either forgotten land (the one that came out on switch last year) or crystal shards (originally for the n64, also available through the nintendo online vc). I think they're the most visually appealing (aside from epic yarn which is not a mainline game) and while they reward exploration they're not as complex as some of the handheld titles to fully explore, nor are they as hand-holdy as some of the other console titles. a good middle ground of feeling like you did the thing, without being frustrating.

Disclaimer, I am okay now. It's been over a year since I've had issues and the voices are a lot quieter now. I promise I'm doing okay and you don't need to worry 💖

I will be using abbreviate terms because tumblr is finicky with wording and I don't need another ban

So to start off I suffered with both Binge eating (BED) and aytipical restrictive eating (Ana)

Like a lot of people my EDs didn't come from actual body image issues but from a need for control in a world where it felt like I had none. I couldn't control my emotions because of undiagnosed Bipolar and Autism and I felt like I had no control in my life, not even over myself. It wasn't about weight. I hated myself at my heaviest and at my lightest. I just needed something to have control over and food was it

I started showing signs of eating issues without knowing what an ED was. From about the age of 12 I'd start skipping meals completely all day and only eat one meal for dinner. I was also doing a lot of sports so excessive exercise. I didn't understand what I was doing was disordered just that I didn't want to eat breakfast or lunch

This lead to me binging. Because of my food restriction my body felt starved (because it was) so about once a week I would do crazy. I do mean crazy. A typical binge would be something like 4 bags of chips, 3 chocolate bars, an entire box of Oreos, lemon strudels and an entire cheesecake. I'd eat until I was physically sick, say I wouldn't do it again, then repeat it every week

I remember in highschool (again not understanding I was showing ED behaviors) doing a hell diet of only eating fruit one day, vegetables the next then fruits and vegetables and repeating that.

I wasn't weighing myself at this time, it was simply a subconscious want to control what I ate and to be stronger than my cravings.

It wasn't until I moved out at 18 I started to actively delve into ED culture and learn what it was. A friend at the time told me her struggle as a teen with restriction and it was like something lit up in my brain. Like I woke up and thought "I can do that". I went all in. It was hell. I don't want to go into specifics because I don't want to give people ideas but let's just say I dropped 40lbs in 2 months. This also made my BED act up more and the consumption only got larger. We're talking full KFC Family meals and I would purge just to eat more. It was not good to say the least.

I'd recover for a few months, then fall back into old habits for a few months. Because my mental health wasn't fixed and I needed control I'd fall back into what I knew, which was controlling food.

It was only last year when I seemed to break the cycle. I was put on medication so my mental health started to level out and I felt like I had control over myself again. Then I started going to the gym and wanted to optimise my muscle growth. This also meant controlling my food intake but in a much healthier and better for me way. I'm actually eating without over eating or bringing and I'm not starving.

If you talk to other people with recovered EDs I'm sure they'll tell you the voices never really go away but they get quieter and easier to ignore.

I don't want to starve because it'll effect my muscle growth but I also don't feel the need to binge because I'm actually eating enough to function again. I'm sure some people will say I have a different eating disorder with my calorie and macro counting but I don't feel that way. I'm the healthiest and happiest I've ever been and I don't care about the scale I only care about how I feel.

So yeah, that's my story in a very short version 💖

I can't say now that you give me much to work with. Nothing but "No, it's not like that, I think it's great and you're stupid". That's not exactly the level at which I usually discuss Warhammer - but I'll make it work.

So: If you had looked at my blog even superficially you would know that I like TTS. I am therefore looking at it with a very friendly eye. The fact that I'm not upset about the portrayal of my absolute favourite characters Lucius and Fabius should give you the additional hint that I have no problem at all with something I like being made fun of. But I am not wearing the ultimate fanboy-blinders and am able to keep my distance and can therefore say that I do not find both Magnus and Dorn portrayed "in character". Extensively readable in the Heresy novels (for Dorn and Magnus, by the way, many of the characterisation gems here can be found in the later anthologies. Which explains a lot of the mistakes in TTS, as not much of it had been released yet when they started their project and set the characters. So the creators couldn't know any better. The fact that angry fans are now shitting their incendiary speeches at my feet here is of course then rather unreflective. But I can't blame Alfabusa and the team for that. You don't choose your fans). That you conclude from this that I think the Emperor is great and am humourless is in itself extremely amusing. But you're probably right.

He's the best. I aspire to be like him. Also, please educate yourself about the difference between "well written" and "being a good guy". Because the Emperor is well written in a lot of cases, he just isn't a good guy.

For me, TTS is not the problem. It's people like you who obviously don't want to delve further into the subject matter, but turn memes into canon. No one needs to have read every scrap of lore. I myself am very selective in what I read and I know far too little. Learning new things, changing my mind accordingly - that's a big part of the fun I have in fandom. I allow myself the luxury of challenging my fan-ness with books and opinions that don't line up with mine. At best, I'm even wrong and can add something new to my private Warhammer treasure chest.

I recommend you do the same. Don't stop where you are, read the books. Realise that, contrary to what you seem to believe at the moment, they are not humourless and unreflective, but on the contrary have wit and irony in many shades (quite a few of those shades are called "sledgehammer", but that counts too!).

Now that was severely abbreviated, but I'm tired of it.

I am a sucker for sibling angst, so scenes of the Kennedy siblings addressing how they've hurt each other, scenes of the Kennedy siblings hurting each other, intentionally or not, scenes of them comforting each other, apologizing for big or small things, and of the other sometimes not being ready to accept that apology...

hmmm... I admit I can't think of any big clear predictions, although I have had fun seeing some people pick up early on or later on on the fact that Pruny in DAOSAK (never abbreviated that before lol) was hard of hearing! I've also had you hopefully and correctly predict that it would be Dee to open up Jack's present in my Puppet Jack fic when that was a temporary cliff hanger ;)

Ough, okay! Uhh, I really like all the work I put into my fics to make them look cool and easy/satisfying to read! The html color formatting stuff of course, but also just the way I write, how long or short I make sentences, how often I sentence break, I put a lot of thought into making the story flow satisfyingly, at least for my taste and standards!

I also think I have a really good character voice for most of the main characters, and writing dialogue for them comes soo naturally for me, which is why writing dialogue and conversations is definitely my favorite part of the process and what usually gets me back from a writing slump! Often a conversation will turn out way better than I even initially imagined due to improvised lines (and sometimes these improvised bits can actually alter the direction of the conversation and thus the whole ass plot ao that's fun!) That's to say, dialogue and in-characterness is definitely something I prioritize over sticking to plan, and I think I do it well and that it definitely improves my fics!

I like to imagine that he was just like flabbergasted in the most british way imaginable.. Like he would immediately go "Father ! I have more important tasks than to show some newbie how to work in the kitchen" while Techno would be just snickering in the background (I dunno why but I think Wilbur would call Phil 'father', missing the whole abbreviation).. But Phil would come up with a reasonable comback, like he always does, and Wil would just be so mad.. He would definitely give you an annoying side eye on the first day of work, purposefully trying to avoid you until his dad gave him a death glare and he was just stuck with you for the whole rest of the day..

Chefbur is such a fucking baby sometimes. yes, you are absolutely right. That is 100% how it went down. He has a reputation to uphold though, so he would just give you a strained smile before pulling Phil to the side and begging hissing at him to hand the job to someone else.

Wilbur is a little bitter about being the third-in-command. He doesn’t want to argue Techno’s position— the man is a very good chef, and like a brother to him— but it stings that he ranks third out of his four family members. The only one below him is Tommy, for fucks sake, and he’s a waiter. Wilbur has never been the favorite child, and he thinks he knows this quite well.

So when he comes back from talking to Phil, he’s giving you the most flippant, half-asses training possible and basically making you feel like an idiot.

AO3 Anniversary!!

Hello hello!

SO.

On 15th of September, today, we have approached my official 1 year anniversary on ao3. That was the day when I first joined ao3. 21st of September was when I posted my first fic "A Day In The Life Of Tim Drake" which was just an excuse to not have an empty account. I wasn't completely sure whether or not I would be continuing on writing fics, but one day, I saw a fic that resonated within my heart. And so I decided "Hey, why not make my own?" And I set out to write "Sometimes You Have To Find Your Own Genes". So my first "official" fic was a 20-chapter novel-length fic.

But anyways, after finishing that, I thought to myself "That worked so nice, why not try it twice?" and wrote the fic which you might all be more familiar to: My School's Local Mafia Boss (AKA mmb which was an abbreviation @cygnusdoesthings coined standing for "mini mafia boss" fic) and its two series Let Them Be Brothers and Mafia Files.

From there, everything exploded and created a gateway which I stumbled through to a whole new world. And boy oh boy is it wonderful.

I've met... a lot of people through those fics. And so many of them are just absolute charms. It's crazy to think that around a 150 people get notified when I post. I've grown as an individual so much over the year. I've also realized a few things about myself too... a bunch of issues 😅 Hey, i can't be a full ao3 writer without having a fair share of the curse. To all those people who've stuck by me though... thank you. So much. I don't know how to describe.

I'm gonna continue writing fics. I like it. I love it. It helps me (and sometimes others) in more ways than one. So I'm going to keep writing. I have... soo many wips. And I'm co-writing with and beta-ing for a bunch of super cool totally awesome writers too! They're so cool.

But I want to celebrate. I wanted to do Something Special TM for this. So I asked people on ao3 on the Not All Good Things Come In Packages work to give me one (1) dialogue or line to put in a fic and i was pleased to see that a lot of people were interested!

And so, i have finally written the fic. Connected by the many contributions from various people, I present to you, the batkids learning about Bruce's days from ages 0-27 from Alfred: Greet Me With Open Arms.

There are a lot of differences, also considering how latin american Spanish is so different within its countries

Fun fact, there is a commonly used abbreviation of latin america, latam

In Argentina they use the word "vos" to refer to "tú" ("you"). This is generally pretty unused in other latam countries and especially in Spain, it's a pretty old way to refer to someone in a higher position you're not friends with with respect. Also generally in latam they tend to use more formal words, like "usted" or "ustedes" ("you" in singular and "you" in plural. They're formal words just trust me bro)

There are also differences in how we name things. A particular phenomenon I've noticed is how they tend to use words that are more English sounding, which is understandable considering how closely connected these countries -especially mexico- are to the US

Imma put English words, then the word in latam, then the word in Spain

Refrigerator: refrigerador, nevera

Computer: computadora, ordenador

Cellphone: celular, teléfono/móvil

For Spanish speaking YouTubers I recommend, there are a few which are very funny and very poggers

Rangugamer: he plays videogames on YouTube. His videos are most of the time an hour long so unless the adhd stars align on you it's better that you watch compilations of funny moments. He makes a lot of adult/dark jokes but they're incredibly funny, he is really good giving varied voices to the characters in the games he's playing, he's actually gained a little bit of fame for being able to predict shit in the stuff he's in the middle of playing, and he's managed to make a lot of popular memes that get referenced by other spanish youtubers

Eme: this man hasn't uploaded an animation in two years but his videos from like six years ago are still extremely funny. He makes a lot of puns and jokes you can only get if you can understand and decompose the language but if you don't get them it just looks like silly stuff that comes out of nowhere which is entertaining nonetheless. There are also a bunch of other visual gags and random bs that are funny even if you don't understand jack shit, like a dictionary he has that moans when it gets opened. Pretty nice ngl

Invokah: he mostly makes Deltarune theories but he's also talked about other stuff like Inazuma 11, rain code, and yo-kai watch. His videos actually get subtitled to a shit ton of languages, so you can watch it with English subtitles and learn a word or two that way. He's pretty entertaining and his character is nicely designed and drawn

Leyendas y videojuegos: he makes theory videos and dissects lore and talks about game development and whatnot and he's talked about a shitton of games, including FEZ which is why I love him forever and ever and he is so cool. He's actually making a videogame of his own and putting the development logs as videos in his channel. Also he's friends with Rangu, the guy I talked about earlier, and they're fucking hilarious together he thought squids were made of legit rubber

Joseju: this guy is an absolute god of comedy. He talks about videogames but in every video he always brings something new to the table. He reviewed a racing game where all the characters are in zooming toilets in fucking prose like it was a poem. He roleplayed as Walter White on skate 3. He made an hour long video where he dubbed over metal gear solid with a few other people like it was a shitty movie. He was actually the reason why I got into GRIS not because the video was really funny, but because he chose not to make the video funny because the game was just too delicate and sensible and beautiful to do that to it. He's made legendary skits dubbing over the flex tape commercial and over fish documentaries. He became a waiter at this random burger joint just because. He played fucking amongus VR and ran over his dryer. He made a review of tears of the kingdom where the thumbnail was a picture of him with the text "I don't believe in human rights" with flames in the background. You gotta watch at least one video of this guy please I beg you

As for latam YouTubers the ones I can undoubtedly recommend are

Holasoygerman: this guy hasn't uploaded a video to his channel in like 6 years but people still regularly rewatch all of his videos because he's just that funny and nostalgic (it's me I'm people). He makes short videos that are around 10 minutes long where he talks about random things in a funny way, like the first time something happened in the history of humanity, food, typical things, the friendzone, and the English language. I'm pretty sure most of his videos have English subtitles so u could try watching them n learn cool stuff. His stuff is so ancient it was actually a rather running gag across multiple videos how he's so excited for GTA V to come out and he can't wait. GTA V. The old ass game where it is a universal gag that instead of making GTA VI they just remake it over and over for years and years. Yeah he's pretty cool u should watch him
