If you pick a tone and double the frequency, it's recognized as the same tone, just one octave higher.

A tone with a frequency of 1Hz can't be heard by human ears.

If you double it 5 times, you get 32Hz. This is audible to the human ear.

If you keep doubling the frequency, you can double it 9 more times, and it stays in the audible range (20hz - 20kHz).

That's 10 frequencies of the same tone.
