A few headcanons about Snacksworth’s treats:
The Proto Beasts and Neo Swords love their respective modern-day counterparts’ treats (Blueberry and Cherry just coming up to me and mugging me for the Suicune and Virizion treats I used to catch Scarlet and Violet respectively)
Glastrier treats have Iceroot Carrots and Spectrier treats have Shaderoot Carrots
Disappointingly I can’t think of anything else right now also both of those felt very obvious
#headcanon#Legendary Pokémon#Pokémon#if I have the time to play today I plan on grinding for BP in Scarlet while listening to Judas Priest#and then tomorrow I’ll grind for BP in Violet while listening to Iron Maiden#also I’ve given up and will finally allow myself to make permanent alterations to Blueberry and Cherry’s movesets#I also have some changes I want to make to the other Proto Beasts’ and Neo Swords’ movesets:#Apple needs a move that can make use of both its Fire Tera type and it’s higher Attack stat#and I don’t like how Passionfruit’s moveset includes a forced switch-out a move that only does stuff two turns later#and a move using its worst stat to calculate damage#so something has to be done about that#Lemon I might change Dragon Hammer to something special but I don’t rely on that move anyway#and Orange never uses Megahorn (I’ve only used it with Cherry I think and Cherry’s proven Megahorn has terrible accuracy)#also some of Snacksworth’s Legendaries are having their movesets altered#especially everyone who doesn’t have a move of their Tera type#although I’ll probably fix the issue with Reshiram Zekrom and Solgaleo by changing their Tera types to their secondary types#(and doing the same for Lunala too but it doesn’t have a problem with Psychic-type moves)#and then creating that same problem for Kubfu/Urshifu by changing its Tera type to the secondary type of the form chosen in that version#(Dark in Scarlet and Water in Violet)#but Lugia (only Water-type move is Rain Dance) Groudon Glastrier and Spectrier are all getting moves of their Tera types#not sure whether or not I want to change the Swords’ of Justice Tera types to their primary types#I may end up catching the rest of the Legendaries in groups of 3 or 2 because I’m impatient#the groups are in no particular order:#Galar’s DLC Legendaries plus Alola’s Box Legendaries#(these ones are my favourite which is why I’m splitting up Alola and Hoenn’s Box Legendaries)#The Legendary Birbs#Johto and Unova’s Box Legendaries#(mainly because of their sub-legendary trios being “counterparts” this gen due to the Proto Beasts and Neo Swords#or more specifically Suicune and Virizion alliterating with Scarlet and Violet which is why the two trios are counterparts this gen)#and then finally Hoenn’s Legendaries

Intro blog!
💫 stars in my eyes~ hold me tight~ why am i crying? oh fuck that's right! you got what you wanted~ oh fuck that's right 💫
hello! I'm Jayson! 💫 i'm 17, genderfluid, any pronouns, this is my side blog where i roleplay and just have fun with my nerdy pokémon side!
I also talk about my pokémon partners! we're a big polycule! currently we're formed by:
Atila/Jayson/Wuni, me
it's me! I work under Team Rocket do to the high payment, and being an artits is hard nowdays, I usally help grunts get disguises with Petrel and my Pokémons likes do do a bit of crime, I was born in Johto, and i recently moved to Alola! i still work under Team Rocket by i also do freelance work to the Aether Foundation.
Jayson the Hypno (he/him)
My oldest partner, Jayson is quite a father figure for the group, he's caring, calm and like to make everyone feel safe, usually hypnotizes me to fall asleep and eats my nightmares, always watches us over bed, He's a bit timid, but once he knows you he can open a bit. He's from Johto
Lilly the Lilligant (any pronouns)
Lilly is the newest addition to our poly, she's quite energetic and very naive, loves dacing and being the ray of sunshine for everyone! She's from Alola
Ichigo the Shiny Hypno (she/they)
Ichigo is similar to lilly, that she likes to be very jolly and happy, she's quite young compared to the others but no doubt she's an sweetheart, She's from Alola
Skully the Dusknoir (he/it)
Skully is very quiet and keeps for itself, but that dosen't mean he ain't a big softie on the inside! we all know the bigger the more to love! He dosen't tell anyone, but when he was younger he loved doing contest! to this day he keeps a collection of ribbons! He's from Orre
Wuni the Gengar (he/they)
Wuni is very adamant lil guy, can't hear rules and already wants to break it! he loves piercings and shiny things like pearls and gold nuggets also he loves the cold, usally turns off heaters. He's from Johto
Snowy the Shiny Froslass (any pronouns)
Snowy is a very calm natured pokémon, they're a very caring pokémon, similar to Jayson He acts like an parental figure to the group, same as Wuni he usally like to makes the place colder. She's from Alola
All of them have tera type dark, do to my job of working with Team Rocket, I don't really care for their goals, i mostly stay because of the high payment and me having a huge crush on the admin Petrel, he usually helps me with my disguises and he acts more nice to me compared to other grunts, do i have a chance?
But since I moved to Alola, since i fell like the region is more of a home to me, I study a bit of taking care of pokémon, and the Aether Foundation was really popular in the region, sometimes i do freelance work on there by helping with the heath of the pokémon there my gay ass also have a crush on the admin Faba He's a bit of a snob, but our Hypnos do well togheter, so he likes that about me, I love hearing him talk about his job, i don't know, i fell dumb
Why do i like old man with beards 😵💫💫

okay you said you had a pokémon fanregion in your head, and now i gotta hear all about that, is the thing
OH god actually it's really funny how much shit that was in it has come to pass in canon by now, because I originally conceptualized it circa gen 4. It's usually what I think about if I think of like pokemon fancharacters or whatever. here we fuckin go
It was based on the Holon region in the TCG which has pokemon with funny types. we have Tera types now... the idea was that it would be begin further expanding and adding its own League and whatnot. I put it as above Johto/Kanto so relatively gen 1&2 selection of mons. keeping it simple.
it was more about the Weird Type Shit, which the pokemon prof of the region was studying under an organization she was a part of (the evil team, which was not branded as "Team (x)" just like Aether Foundation lmao). anomalies to track down and whatnot. but they were also inducing it themselves and studying other detected anomalies in the region. or sometimes the experiments they did created new, unintended anomalies of their own
this was mostly to make Missingno canon. which is like the only thing that hasn't still come to pass yet (BUT IT SHOULD!!!!!!). my dearest darlingest Missingno, the entire reason I love glitches today, was effectively my box legendary. the backstory of the prof was much like Lusamine in that she saw this Fucking Weird Pokemon a long time ago due to her Experiments and it fucked her up and she became a weird bad anime mom afterward. SHE EVEN HAD A DEAD HUSBAND!!!!!!! I FUCKIN INVENTED LUSAMINE FIRST
oh I should mention the "protag" analogue of the region WAS the professor's child. SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you had to fight your mom. who is the prof. who is also the evil team leader. and corrupted by some messed up videogame code. damn that sucks
later when we started getting more AI-feeling Rotom characters, I imagined a Rotom in a more robot/android body as one of the team underlings. he was the protag's buddy back home but now he has to fight you :( sorry i dont wanna do this but my programming is telling me to (throws a pokeball out halfheartedly)
(ASIDE: I remember in the first movie when they were like flabbergasted at Mewtwo technically qualifying as a pokemon trainer. that was kinda fucked up and weird, can we go back to that? tbh when I think about it, a lot of the vibe of my fanregion is based on how Weird early pokemon gens felt. they really dont make it like this anymore. Ape Inc became Creatures, I'm certain some EarthBound talent factored in)
I think I was also imagining weird-typed versions of the legendary birds for a trio, which is funny cuz we got Galarian versions of them now too....
Hooke was originally a Pokemon OC and was my first one actually, he ran a Dark-type gym because one didn't exist in canon yet. he was ex-Team Rocket and moved up north to turn a new leaf. thought it fit Dark's vibe as like the Schemer Type. I had to wait amazingly long for an actual Dark-type gym in canon which is kinda funny. it actually felt a little sad when we finally got one because it had been 11 years since I had made Hooke in protest of this
if you remember my OC Serafine (she doesnt have a TH SORRY), she was also an evil team exec.
she doesn't have a modern analogue but another one of the fancharacters was the rival-type one and she was Lt. Surge's spoiled neice
the Ghost-type gym leader I can describe as a Super Nerd with the constitution of the Hiker. can see ghosts but is a social outcast but more in a nerd sense than a goth sense. I liked him a lot but I haven't had anywhere to put him :(
the Psychic-type leader was extremely tsundere and her mind reading helped her out with all those tsundere insecurities (now she's just paranoid and preemptively reads people's minds)
the Fire- and Steel-type leaders were a duo battle of "smoke and mirrors" themed magicians. and also married
this is largely stream of consciousness I hope this post makes SENSE

Do you have any headcanons for Nemona, Arven, Penny, Carmine (the canon one) and Kieran? Just wondering!
Thank you very much for this ask ! Sorry if I was a bit late to answer, but I was busy with Inktober and Inkember so I barely had time to do anything else at this point.
Here are some headcanons I have of the Scarlet & Violet Rivals/Friends Squad ! :
Note : Their names are a combination of their French and English (with the only exception being Penny, which is her nickname in my Headcanons). I'm just saying this so you are not confused.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Menzi Nemona, Pepper Arven, Pania Peony Rose and Roseille & Kassis Kieran Headcanons
Menzi Nemona :
Age : 16 years old
Birthday : April 1st
Zodiac Sign : Aries
Height : 5'7" (170 cm)
Weight : 139 lbs (63 kg)
Blood Type : O+
Hometown : Cuchalaga (Cabo Poco)
Place of Residence : Cuchalaga (Cabo Poco)
Sexuality : Panromantic Genderfluid Bisexual
Lover : Juliana Harui (Female MC)
"Anthem" : Guarantee by Black Eyed Peas ft. J. Rey Soul
First Pokémon : Pawmi (Pohm) ♂
Team :
"Sparky" Pohmarmotte (Pawmot) ♂ ELECTRIK TERA
"Nino" Palmaval (Quaquaval) ♂ WATER TERA
"Sunshine" Lougaroc (Lycanroc Day Form) ♀ ROCK TERA
"Addison" Muplodocus (Goodra) ♀ DRAGON TERA
"Sora" Deusolourdo (Dudunsparce) ♂ NORMAL TERA
"Pipp" Ferdeter (Orthworm) ♂ STEEL TERA
Apart from the freckles she has on her nose, she also has some on her shoulders as well.
She is very tactile ; Physical contact is very important to her. In fact she does tons of huggies to her significant other.
She was meant to inherit her parents' business alongside her older sister, but she is not interested. Her parents are very rich, like billionnaires, but she has different projects than following her parents' footsteps. So it is most likely her older sister that could continue the legacy (if she is still around, who knows...).
Actually, she wants to be just like the Chairwoman Alisma Geeta. She in fact idolizes her.
She is partially deaf and wears a device to help, although it is hard to spot when you don't know about it.
It is because of her deficiency that she speaks louder than average people.
Due to her deficiency, she learns sign language.
She has motricity problems in her right arm since birth, but the reason behind it is unknown. Since her right hand is her dominant one, she has a motricity helper to conter this problem (her specific red and black glove is the device).
She has a strong ADHD disorder.
She is also VERY overactive, which doesn't help as she just wants to battle again and again.
If she has an intense laughing fit, she will start to sound like a seal, which doesn't help at all stopping the giggles.
If you ever make her REALLY angry, you will most likely regret it. Get ready to be insulted in the Paldean (Spanish) dialect.
She is the type to be heavily excited all the time, and will be trembling from excitement everytime.
Pepper Arven :
Age : 17 years old
Birthday : October 9th
Zodiac Sign : Libra
Height : 5'5" (165 cm)
Weight : 170 lbs (77 kg)
Blood Type : AB+
Hometown : Mesaledo (Mesagoza)
Place of Residence : Route de Cuchalaga ; Phare (Poco Path's Lighthouse) {formerly}
Naranja/Uva Acdamy {currently}
Sexuality : Pansexual Cisgender
Lover : Juliana Aceituña (my Pokémon Violet OC)
"Anthem" : Bird with a Broken Wing by Owl City
First Pokémon : Maschiff (Grondogue) ♂
Team :
"Matthew" Dogrino (Mabosstiff) ♂ DARK TERA
"Compagou" Rongrigou (Greedent) ♂ NORMAL TERA
"Sodapop" Gigansel (Garganacl) ♂ ROCK TERA
"Champi" Terracruel (Toadscruel) ♀ GROUND TERA
"Hot Sauce" Scovilain ♀ GRASS TERA
"Sour" Crustabri (Cloyster) ♂ WATER TERA
Picnic lover. He is used to go picnic with his Maschiff (now Mabosstiff) multiple times a week.
Let the others play with his hair, as he doesn't mind. But he lets his other half Juliana go all out with it.
Self-taught boy. He was on his own almost all of his life, as his parents (Olim Sada & Turo Arven) were never there to really take care of him. He is able to do many things, such as cooking, sewing, and multiple chores.
He feels uneased alongside Mora Raifort, as she reminds him a lot of his parents, more specifically his mother (they were best friends back in the days).
Visually impaired. Maschiff was given to him as a gift for Christmas in order to help him out with this disability. So we can say it is pretty much a guide dog. This was one of the most significant things his parents ever offered him.
He was on his own living in the lighthouse for quite some time. But ever since his last time in Area Zero where he learned about his parents' passing, Clavell offers him a place to live in the academy (since he didn't know either that they passed away).
Unlike his parents who were prodigies pretty much at every school subject, Pepper has had a hard time following all the subjects, and often needed private lessons to help him reach the average level.
Ever since what happened to his partner in Area Zero (which almost led to his dear Pokemon's death), Pepper never wanted to do any battles anymore. So he never goes to Élige Dendra's fighting and battling lessons.
Now he goes from time to time, but it is not the lesson he is the most thrilled about.
Always going in cooking classes after class. He is practicing even more with Clavell, who is now his father figure.
If there is one subject he is thrilled to learn more about, it has to be foreign languages and cultures.
Menzi is teaching him sign language as well.
Is actually helping out Team Star with their community services. He likes to feel useful and helping out people.
His greatest dream is to open and be the chef of his own restaurant, the biggest one in Mesagoza, near the academy. One that will for both Humans and Pokémons.
Kombu sometimes asks him to come in his restaurant in order to help him achieve his dream.
Pania Peony Rose :
Age : 15 years old
Birthday : May 29th
Zodiac Sign : Gemini
Height : 4'11" (149 cm)
Weight : 77 lbs (35 kg)
Blood Type : AB-
Hometown : Motorby (Motostoke)
Place of Residence :
Sexuality : Non Binary Demifluid Androgynosexual
Lover : Ortiga Mejadoha
"Anthem" : What Have you Done by Within Temptation ft. Keith Caputo
First Pokémon : Eevee (Évoli) ♀
Team :
"'Vee" Nymphali (Sylveon) ♀ FAIRY TERA
"Umbra" Noctali (Umbreon) ♂ DARK TERA
"Aqua" Aquali (Vaporeon) ♂ WATER TERA
"Volt" Voltali (Jolteon) ♂ ELECTRIK TERA
"Flare" Pyroli (Flareon) ♀ FIRE TERA
"Leaf" Phyllali (Leafeon) ♀ GRASS TERA
Is always seen wearing a hoodie and leggings.
She suffers anxiety and autism (her uncle has anxiety as well).
She only uses the 6 Eeveelutions mentioned above for battle. She actually has all of them but the remaining 2 (Espeon and Glaceon) never battles.
The remaining 2 Eeveelutions are named "Espoir" and "Glacia" respectively, and are both Females.
All of her Eeveelutions' names are based of thei real names, or have a name that is reminiscent of their species names, apart from Sylveon. The reason for that is because she had the later as an Eevee when she was very young, and mistook the species's names as "Vee" rather than Eevee, so she decided to stick to that name.
All of her Eeveelutions knows Quick Attack and Baby-Doll Eyes. They also all know a stab move and a coverage move, apart from Flareon, who has 2 Fire Type Moves. Here are their 2 other specific moves :
Aqua : Hydropump and Aurora Beam
Volt : Thunder and Pin Missile
Flare : Flare Blitz and Fire Spin
Espoir : Psychic and Dazzling Gleam
Umbra : Dark Pulse and Psychic
Leaf : Leaf Blade and X-Scissor
Glacia : Blizzard and Last Resort
'Vee : Moon Blast and Shadow Ball
She dreams that one day, there will be countless different Eeeveelutions. So to feed up her dream, she draws "fake" Eeveelutions designs, starting up with the known typings that don't have an Eeveelution yet.
She is an absolute fan of Mashynn Iono. She is collecting all goodies and products related to her.
Roseille Kieran
Age : 17 years old
Birthday : November 22nd
Zodiac Sign : Sagittarius
Height : 5'10" (178 cm)
Weight : 132 lbs (60 kg)
Blood Type : O-
Hometown : Septentria (Kitakami)
Place of Residence : Jaderaude (Mossui Town)
Sexuality : Polyamorous
Lovers : Irido Drayton
Nérine Amarys
"Anthem" : Break the Rules by Charli XCX
First Pokémon : Poltchageist
Team :
"Tea Tree" Théffroyable (Sinistcha) GRASS TERA
"Escape" Grahyéna (Mightyena) ♀ DARK TERA
"Yacht" Bazoucan (Toucannon) ♀ FLYING TERA
"Béatrice" Morpeko ♀ ELECTRIK TERA
"Rosalina" Feunard (Ninetales) ♀ FIRE TERA
"Antoine" Baggaïd (Scrafty) ♀ FIGHTING TERA
When her little brother was still a baby, she accidently "hit" him in the head when holding him.
She has to change her phone's password almost everyday. That's because Kassis always steal it from her and snook in it. He loves to tease her and watch all of her life (because her phone is basically her life).
She was once so angry at Irido that she punched him in the face and broke his nose.
Can't stand the heat.
Kassis Kieran
Age : 14 years old
Birthday : October 26th
Zodiac Sign : Scorpio
Height : 5'3" (160 cm)
Weight : 110 lbs (50 kg)
Blood Type : A+
Hometown : Septentria (Kitakami)
Place of Residence : Jaderaude (Mossui Town)
Sexuality : Demiromantic Abrosexual
Lover : Loreleÿ Carmine (my Pokémon Scarlet OC)
"Anthem" : Shy by Jai Waetford (DLC 1)
SNAP by Rosa Linn (DLC 2)
First Pokémon : Applin (Verpom) ♂
Team :
"Cinnamon" Pomdorochi (Hydrapple) ♂ FIGHTING TERA
"Simon" Tarpaud (Politoad) ♂ STEEL TERA
"Highball" Dracolosse (Dragonite) ♂ NORMAL TERA
"Moonsault" Félinferno (Incineroar) ♂ WATER TERA
"Eisenhardt" Porygon-Z ♂ GHOST TERA
"Rugitou" Angoliath (Grimmsnarl) ♂ DARK TERA
Has learned how to do flower crowns. He at first learned it to try to earn Ogerpon's trust and becoming friends with it (when he saw it for the first time). Now he does them for his love Loreleÿ.
Sometimes gives the mails to everyone in his village to gain his own money. He does it like once every week.
His hobby is collecting shiny stones and other shiny objects and artefacts.
Easily blushes (even in his "emo" phase).
Can't stand loud noises. These can make him feel ill at ease, sometimes even make him have a panic attack.
When he is stresses, he bites his nails as well as his skin around them.
Autistic and anxious. He has a good relationship with Pania because they understand each other's problems very well (since they both suffers from these).
He doesn't drink natural water. It always has to be with sugar and/or added flavors. Or he drinks sodas.
Sometimes has insomnias.
Not a big fan of showers. He prefers baths (Yup, still a baby deep inside).
He got attacked by Pecharunt (Pêchaminus) during his sleep, but he has no memories of it. He now has Pecharunt marks on his back. This is a parallel to his lover Loreleÿ who has cracking marks all over her body because of Terapagos.

Hlvrai x Pokémon Stuff?
Mainly just thoughts on what each type or special gimmick each character would use.
Gordon: Steel, Normal, or Ground
When I think of pre-handless gordon I think Normal but when I think of gun-hand I think Steel. I’m biased on Ground bc I think it would be very cool if Gordon had a Mudsdale. THEY EVEN HAVE THE SAME COLORS GOING ON AND JOSH WOULD LOVE IT-
On terms of a game gimmick I don’t see him using anything except maybe z-moves? He’d likely just brute everything though bc he doesn’t think he needs the “extra help” 🙄
-
Tommy: Electric
Fast and Yellow 👍 I wish I could give him more but it’s the most fitting for him next to possibly fairy.
From what I recall from Pokémon lore is that mega evolution is formed from strong bonds so I find it most fitting for him. (I think the mega stone would be on his hat or something skfhajajkakaka) I could also see him having one pseudo legendary on his team 🤷♀️ just one. Not a real legendary.
-
Dr. Coomer: Fighting!
Very fitting for the violent old guy! and there is a boxing Pokémon already so it feels like it’s meant to be. A possible second contender is Steel to go with the whole fact that most of his body is replaced by robotic parts but otherwise I feel fighting is most appropriate.
Z-Moves power up a Pokémon and that’s what I feel he would do just before fighting a strong opponent (similarly to how he becomes super beefy before fighting ben in the last act.)
-
Bubby: Fire AND Psychic
Mainly this has to do with his canonical pyrokinesis, but also with the “brain & brawn” double battle trainers (*cough cough* psychic and fighting = BOOMER)
He’d have psychic Pokémon with Fire-tera typing or the other way around. Double perks. Also maybe some man made Pokémon like Porygon.
-
Forzen: Dragon or Ghost
Dragon (bc he thinks they look cool) or Ghost (bc they help with quick getaways) either way he probably thinks they both look cool.
No gimmick but I’d see him using moves like protect a lot to piss ppl off.
-
Darnold: Fairy, Poison, or Flying
When I think of Darnold I think of powerful whimsy that isn’t taken seriously and to that I think Fairy. Poison is more so to the not-so-pleasant side effects of his potions. Flying is just for the gag of him rocketing the hell out of there. Otherwise I think Fairy is the most fitting.
Once again no gimmick bc he’s more like Arven where he wants to make fun things for his Pokémon than actually battling.
-
Benrey: Dark, Ghost, or Bug
I think you can all guess why Dark (ha ha dark=bad, evil, and everything awful ha ha haaaaa) but more so to the perception bc he has dark Pokémon makes ppl (specifically Gordon) perceive him as so. Ghost is more to the whole clipping and not-being-able-to-die-normally thing as well as the fact he’d definitely favor Gengar come on. Bug is bc I think he’d like bugs. Little creachers >:))
Gigantamax is so definitely his favorite (giant strong and a great cool- like him in the last act!) but I also think he’d pull a second team of ultra-beasts in a last ditch attempt bc, like him “not being human” ultra beasts aren’t really Pokémon. Some deep relatability.
-
G-Man: Psychic or Dark:
Once again that thing about perception. Maybe also ice? Cold exterior and all that.
Only character to whisk out actual mythical or legendary Pokémon for battle. How did he get them? Dw they’re good friends stop asking so many questions.
-
As for an extra Josh would only have baby Pokémon. Like- three bc technically they’re Gordon’s Pokémon and also he doesn’t want Josh running around with a whole team. (Maybe Rock types to match with Gordon if he has ground but I’d see him with Bug types too.)
If there’s anything anyone wants to add just throw it in my inbox bc Pokémon is my secondary focus in my brain for the month.

A Dark Path Walked Chapter 13: Area Zero Underdepths
Kieran and Juliana had fallen asleep during the elevator ride, and they were woken up by the sound of rumbles. “It seems the elevator stopped.” Glady said. “Is everyone ready?”
“We’re ready.” Lacey said.
Juliana pressed the open button on the elevator, but as soon as the elevator doors opened, the four students were surprised by the sight of crystal caves and glitter surrounding the area.
“Oh… my… goodness!!” Kieran’s surprise turned to excitement as he ran out of the elevator. “This is so amazing!! I’ve never seen something so… so… so beautiful!!”
“I know…” Juliana said. “I wonder why Miss Briar is intent on researching this place.”
“Hey… I found something.” Lacey’s attention on a desk filled with documents.
“Those must be notes written by Professor Sada.” Juliana said as she took the notes, recognizing the hand writing. “This has some new notes… ‘It seems that the scientists here discovered a new species and a mysterious phenomenon that connects the Terastalization phenomenon. The name given to the species is Terapagos and the phenomenon is called the Stellar Tera Type.’”
“Terapagos…” Kieran said. “I think I heard that when that Florian boy helped the Pokémon controlling Sis manipulate the Toxic chain.”
“And it also says something about a… ‘Stellar’ Tera type…” Lacey said. “I think this might be the thing your Top Champion and Miss Briar were trying to research, right, Kieran?”
“Yeah.” Kieran said. “That was why Miss Briar, Sis and I left the Field trip to Kitakami earlier. I traveled around the world with Miss Briar thanks to Gladys and Lacey’s recommendation. I was planning to participate in the BB League, but then Director Cyrano asked me to accompany him to Paldea to pick up Juliana for the beginning of the Foreign exchange program.”
“The Director did what?!” Lacey shook her head. “He knows you have a lot of classes and training to do!” She crosses her hands into an X. “What he did is not right!”
“Lacey, please calm down.” Gladys reassured her clubmate. “We can talk to the director about this after everything is solved.”
“I’m sorry…” Lacey sighed. “The Director can be… a bit forgetful at times.”
“It’s ok.” Juliana said as she put the notes back on the desk they were placed. “Let’s go discover this place.”
As Lacey, Juliana, Kieran and Gladys explored, they discovered that the place is very connected to Area Zero, and not only that, the only Pokémon that reside there are Carbink and Glimmet.
Suddenly, they see a gigantic crystal blocking the path ahead.
“Well, this… makes things harder.” Juliana said.
“How do we break this… gigantic crystal?” Lacey asked.
“Maybe Juliana’s Agias can use one of its moves to pierce the barrier.” Gladys suggested.
“Hold on!” Kieran said. “If we use brute force, won’t that exhaust Koraidon? And not only that, this is no normal barrier of crystal. Maybe we should try to figure out where this thing comes from.” The four then heard a squeak, turned around and saw a Glimmora surrounder in a light blue colored light.
“Huh?” Gladys said. “This is new… I’ve never seen such a beautiful specimen… the petals it has… could it be a grass type?”
She was slowly about to approach the aggressive Pokémon when Kieran pulled her back.
“Gladys!” He shouted. “That thing is dangerous! And it’s no grass type! We need someone to take it down!”
“I’ll do it.” Juliana said as she sent out Milotic.
As soon as the battle begin, the wild Glimmora terstalized, but not into a rock or a poison Tera type, but into the new Stellar Tera Type that Professor Sada wrote in her notes. The crown was shaped like a small turtle surrounded by 18 crystals, representing all the types known from Normal to fairy.
“What the?!” Juliana said. “So that’s the Stellar Tera Type that Professor Sada wrote about?! Well, this will be an exciting challenge! Let’s do this, Milotic!”
The battle took longer than expected because just like every other Tera Pokémon, it was required to attack Glimmora twice. Once the Glimmora was defeated, the crystal barrier disappeared into glitter.
“Wowzers!” Kieran squeaked. “The thing just… disappeared into thin air after that Pokémon was defeated!”
“And not only that, the path is cleared.” Lacey said. “Come on, we have no time to waste.”
As the journey continued, the group would encounter more crystal barriers and Juliana volunteered to take each of the Stellar Tera Pokémon down. The second crystal was summoned by a Noivern, the third crystal was summoned by a Sandy Shocks and the fourth crystal was summoned by Gargancl. Lacey, Gladys and Kieran had to call her by order, with Kieran even riding his Lapras to get her. He was caught off guard by the tree where Gargancl was standing.
“Isn’t it beautiful?” Juliana said.
“I know…” Kieran said. “It reminds me of the wisteria in Kitakami.”
They looked at the tree in silence when Kieran took a deep breath.
“Hey, Juliana…” He turned to the Paldean student. “Do you… have any fears when it comes to what has been happening recently…?”
“Honestly, I didn’t expect Carmine to… not be on good terms with me.” Juliana sighed. “I thought we would be good friends… after all… I lied to her about Ogerpon. And not only that, I witnessed your argument with her at your front door.”
“You’re not the only one who’s worried about Sis…” Kieran said. “Before Sis became the BB League Champion, she had challenged me to a sparring match and… I lost. I didn’t knock out any of my Pokémon. The team I had were Yanmega, Furret, Lapras, Poliwrath, Gliscor and Hydrapple… Do you want to know what she said when she mercilessly beat me?”
“What did she say?” Juliana asked.
“She said… ‘You should not have gone to the Dreaded Den with that outsider. If you really wanted to be strong, you should have been the one who was lied to.’ It was like… that… Pokémon was playing with my feelings by pretending to be my Sis… No one liked how my sis changed… yet… I still was loved, despite the fact that my sis was controlled into becoming a tyrant…”
“And you said you had nightmares?” Juliana asked.
“Yes…” Kieran nodded.
He couldn’t finish his words… he had broken down in tears and collapsed on his knees. Juliana went to him and hugged him tightly, petting his black and purple hair and whispering words of comfort to his ears as the boy sobbed loudly. Lapras even sensed her trainer’s sadness and nuzzled her head onto his.
Kieran calmed down before taking deep breaths, with Juliana patting him on his shoulder. The last time he was cheered up like this was when Carmine attacked some bullies who haunted him with Cursola.
“Are you feeling better?” Juliana asked.
“Yeah.” Kieran nodded. “Thank you, Juliana… And you two, Lapras.”
Lapras chirped.
“Oh yeah.” Kieran remembered. “We have to go meet up with Lacey and Gladys. We must have kept them.”
They returned to see Lacey and Gladys finishing repelling the wild Glimmet and Carbink.
Apologies for the wait.” Juliana said. “We should keep going.”
Before they continued, Gladys stopped Juliana.
“One thing I should mention.” The Grass Gym Trainer said. “While you and Kieran were taking your time, we got attacked by these Pokémon. While Lacey’s Team is still intact, my team is completely spent.”
“Oh. Sorry about that.” Juliana sighed.
“It’s ok.” Gladys smiled. “I still have some training to do. So far, I still have Arboliva and Comfey. So if anything happens, you better come save me.”
The four of them continued until they arrived at a small chamber where a small crystal rested upon a bigger crystal.
“Is this… it?” Lacey asked.
“It seems so.” Gladys said. “There is a small stone over there. This could be what this Professor of Juliana’s could be talking about.”
“Not so fast.” Florian’s voice was heard as he and Terapagos arrived. “I will not let you near that rock.”
“Not you again.” Lacey got angry. “Do you ever stop hindering us?!” She then crossed her arms into an X. “What you are doing is absolutely not right!”
“Don’t think I don’t know what you are doing.” Florian mused. “You want to awaken the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. So you can see the truth of Carmine’s current state, so you can ‘rescue’ her from Pecharunt’s Malignant Chain and release her grasp on Pecharunt, Okidogi and Fezandipiti.”
“How do you know?!” Juliana gasped.
“I am from another dimension.” Florian explained. “Where I am from, these ancient Pokémon like ‘Great Tusk’, ‘Walking Wake’ and ‘Winged King’ that you have are replaced by futuristic Pokémon like ‘Iron Treads’, ‘Iron Leaves’ and ‘Iron Serpent’. In my world, you were the tyrant, Kieran, but you made these decisions by your own will, not by some mochi.”
“I-I was a m-monster?!” Kieran was left in denial.
“Exactly.” Florian continued. “This Terapagos I have by my side was caught by you, you used it against me, and when you Terastalized it, you tried to recall it, only for your Master Ball to shatter. All because I was the one who lied to you about Ogerpon.”
“How could you…” Gladys growled, angry that Florian was making her classmate vulnerable. “You’re playing with Kieran’s mind!”
“As I was investigating mysterious creatures in Area Zero, I was ambushed by Iron Leaves, Iron Boulder and Iron Crown. My Pokémon protected me and they were badly injured to the point that they had to be placed at a Pokémon center.” Florian kept going. “Only Terapagos was intact. And I took the elevator to the time machine placed by Professor Turo… and I traveled to your dimension, where I met Carmine as she was growling how she needs to get stronger.”
“Liar!” Juliana shouted, angry at Florian. “You played with Carmine!”
“I see that you do not believe me.” Florian never got angry, just kept a dark smile. “Then why don’t you battle me?”
Kieran stepped infront of Juliana, Gladys and Lacey and sent out Hydrapple.
“I’ll battle you.” He said, his voice no longer showing fear.
His black and purple hair was blowing in non-existant wind, the tie he is wearing with his Summer Uniform was getting loose and Hydrapple growled, its five Syrpent heads glaring at Florian.
“Very well.” Florian said. “Come, Terapagos. The Indigo Disk.”
Terapagos took the battlefield and transformed into its Terastal Form with its Tera Shift ability.
“Did it just… transform?” Kieran thought to himself. “I mustn’t be held back by fear. I have to do this… for Sis… for the entirety of Blueberry Academy.”
“Zen Headbutt.” Florian commanded.
“Syrup Bomb, Hydrapple!!” Kieran shouted.
Terapagos’ Zen headbutt dealt little damage while its Tera Shell made sure that Syrup Bomb dealt less damage, but Terapagos was caught off guard by Hydrapple’s Supersweet syrup.
“How many abilities does that Pokémon have?!” Juliana asked.
“You do have a Pokémon that has five abilities in the Ogre that Kieran talks about.” Gladys said, reminding Juliana of Ogerpon’s ability depending on the mask she wears.
“Oh… yeah.” Juliana was dumbstruck.
Kieran’s Hydrapple was lucky to land a critical with its five headed Fickle Beam, weakening Terapagos.
“I won…” Kieran thought, smiling to himself. “I finally won one battle… now I can save Sis…” “Don’t think this is the end.” Florian said as he took out a Tera Orb. His body was surrounded by Crystal. “You wish to know why Terapagos is called the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. This… is why.”
More crystals appeared on Florian’s body as he charged his Tera Orb and tossed it at Terapagos, Terastalizing it to its Stellar Form.
“No way…” Lacey was terrified. “Is this…?”
“Its strongest form…” Gladys shook her head.
“We have to help Kieran! He can’t handle this alone!” Juliana shouted.
The three girls went to Kieran’s side and sent out their Pokémon, Wellspring Mask for Ogerpon, Arboliva for Gladys and Whimsicott for Lacey.
“Alright… Whimsicott! Tailwind!” Lacey commanded.
“Arboliva! Energy Ball!” Lacey shouted.
“Ogerpon! Low Sweep!” Juliana said.
“Hydrapple! Syrup Bomb!” Kieran called.
The battle was extremely long, since Terapagos would easily knock their Pokémon out with Tera Starstorm, create barriers with Terastal Energy and steal Terastal Energy. Gladys was out since Arboliva and Comfey were her only remaining Pokémon, Lacey was stuck with Galarian Slowbro, Primarina and Excadrill, Kieran was only able to use Lapras and Juliana was stuck with Walking Wake and Skeledirge.
Suddenly, the crystal slumbering on the bigger stone started glowing and floating to Kieran’s location.
“Huh?!” Kieran looked behind him in surprise.
The crystal awakened and another Terapagos landed infront of Kieran as it looked at him with confidence.
“So the other Terapagos woke up.” Florian said. “Well, this will be interesting.”
“Tera-Tera!” The recently awakened Terapagos looked at Kieran.
“You… want to battle with me?” Kieran shook his head in disbelief. “Of course. I’ll do what I can.”
Thanks to their new friend, the four students defeated Florian’s Terapagos, shattering its Stellar Terastalization and transforming it to its weak form.
Kieran looked at Florian and saw that he was about to disappear.
“Wait… don’t leave… how can I save my sis?” He said.
“It is up to you…” Florian said. “The only way to save Carmine… and the rest of Blueberry Academy… is by defeating Pecharunt… Take care… and… save Carmine…”
Kieran tried to reach his hand out to Florian, but he and his Terapagos disappeared.
“He’s gone…” Gladys said.
“He probably returned back to his home.” Juliana said. “Where he can be at peace.”
Kieran turned to the wild Terapagos. Smiling to himself, he gently tapped the small crystal turtle with a Pokéball, sealing it inside. The Pokéball twirled three times and clicked, meaning that he caught Terapagos, the Indigo Disk, the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.
Suddenly, Juliana gets a message from an unknown origin on her Rotom Phone. After reading the message, she goes to Kieran.
“Kieran, we have to go to the Crystal Pool.” She said.

A Road Further, Chapter 2: A Champion's Trials
A Road Further is the story of the Paldea trio going on various adventures as life goes on for them after the events of Violet.
Sorry this took so long, everyone! I accidentally wrote two chapters for Nemona (I thought I could stuff more into one chapter than I managed to) instead of one. The next chapter of hers will be released tomorrow after I fix it up.
I hope you all enjoy this!
---
Nemona woke to the sound of blinds being pulled back and a sudden light falling on her.
“Time to get up, mi hija,” came Geeta’s voice
Nemona blearily opened her eyes. Geeta was already dressed in another of her suits- grey this time- and looked alert and alive. This didn’t strike Nemona as surprising until she turned to the alarm clock and saw that it was 5:30 AM.
Wow, how does she do it? Nemona wondered as she rolled out of bed.
“You have fifteen minutes to shower. After that, we’ll get you styled for the day and discuss your team options over breakfast,” Geeta explained.
Not much later, Geeta was braiding Nemona’s hair into a tight, low braid and explaining the day ahead.
“The first round consists of eight battles, starting at nine and ending at seven.”
“With a one-hour time limit for each, industry standard?”
“Yes. And your battle today is against Leon, scheduled for 1 pm,” Geeta explained, twisting the ponytail elastic around the braid.
Nemona took a look in the mirror. She liked what she saw- she looked so mature and professional, as Geeta’s protégé should.
“This morning we’ll find you something suitable to wear and prepare your team. Let’s go.”
Geeta waited patiently as Nemona sorted through her pc boxes at the hotel’s restaurant table. If only Geeta had told her about this before, she would have prepared by now. But her feelings of failure subsided as she went through the array of creatures she’d trained over the past two treasure hunts and scribbled down the names of any particularly good candidates that crossed her sight.
Nemona looked up to Geeta. “Alright! I’ve got a list of eight candidates for my ace, listed from best to least best. First is pawmot. What do you think?”
Geeta shook her head, the gentle smile still on her face. “A Pokémon from the pikachu family is a bit underwhelming, don’t you think?”
Nemona’s enthusiasm was slightly dampened. “Well, it knows two signature moves, but pawmi is really common… Okay. How’s about lycanrock?”
Geeta shook her head again. “Same problem as the last.”
“Okay, how’s about Skeledirge? It’s big and cool-looking.”
“A starter Pokémon doesn’t seem right for a champion.”
“But… Blue and Kukui use a starter Pokémon. Leon uses two. What makes this different?”
Geeta sighed. “The leagues of the other regions already have good reputations, but the Paldea league has a lot of damage to repair on its own. Everything we do must be perfect. That is why I adopted the image I have, and I expect you to adopt a fitting image as well. Understood?”
“Yes! Absolutely! So, what do you think my ace should be? I’ll go with whatever you say!”
“Very well. Let me see your pc box.”
Nemona handed Geeta her rotom phone. Geeta took her time looking through each box, seemingly quite impressed with Nemona’s work.
“Well, ceruledge would be a good choice,” Geeta said finally, putting the phone down on the table. “It’s strong, noble-looking and native to Paldea. And we don’t have a dark-type specialist in the Paldea league yet or a dark specialist champion anywhere. You could use lokix and borrow my kingambit, and we’ll use shards to turn ceruledge’s tera type to dark. How does that sound?”
Nemona smiled awkwardly. “Well.. okay. The thing is, I haven’t used either of those. Like, at all. They aren’t very well-leveled. And I’ve never really used any dark-type, and...” Nemona trailed off.
Just then, a text from Penny appeared. Nemona snatched up the phone, smiling awkwardly. Nemona loved Penny, but if any of her friends would be saying something La Primera wouldn't approve of, it would be her.
Geeta waited for her to finish.
“And... maybe I should use something I’m more familar with?”
“Sure. Let me see that list of yours.”
Nemona looked down at the list and was hit by a sudden feeling that Geeta wouldn’t like any of her choices. She stuffed it back in her pocket. “Actually, it’s fine."
“Good. And don’t worry about their level. I brought rare candy. For now, let’s worry about your outfit and their movesets. Ready to go?”
"You bet."
Geeta got up and Nemona followed her. As they went, Nemona checked the text.
Hey. Don't let Geeta step on you too much today, it read. Here's what some of her employees say about her. Don't become one of them.
It was followed by a screenshot that Nemona didn't have the time or honestly the care to read. It made sense that Penny didn't like Geeta- she didn't like any authority figures. And she didn't value the Paldea league like Nemona did.
Their next stop was the Lillycove Department Store to figure out her new champion costume. Geeta led her straight to a locally-owned clothing store that did custom designs. It wouldn’t have stood out to most, but Nemona recognized it instantly. This was where Wallace got all his costumes made. This really was the full champion treatment! Following behind Geeta, Nemona looked to the colourful outfits on the racks, searching for inspiration. Not that she hadn’t designed about six different champion outfits for herself in her head, but she needed to choose between them somehow!
“Hello,” Geeta said to the shopkeeper, a grey-haired woman who appeared to be in her sixties. “We’re here to order an outfit for an upcoming champion.”
The woman smiled. “Excellent. Age? Measurements? Gender? Do you have a general idea of what you would like it to look like?”
“It’s this one right here,” Geeta replied, gesturing to Nemona. “You’ll have to take her measurements. She’s a dark-type user, so I’m looking for something solid black. A floor-legnth dress, perhaps, with a jacket in a secondary colour of some sort and black accents. Do you have any suggestions for the second colour?”
The shopkeeper looked Nemona over. “Hmm... I’d say something dark mauve, to contrast her eyes."
Geeta looked to Nemona and examined her as though dressing her in her head. “Yes, I can see that. Well, let’s get the measurements done.”
Geeta put a hand around Nemona’s back and guided her to the back room, where Nemona was made to strip for measurements. It struck her that she hadn’t spoken once since getting there. But it was okay. La Primera knew best. She was sure of it.
As it turned out, because Geeta was looking for something so generic, they had something very similar to it on hand. Geeta got her to try it on. The dress, which was so long it dragged on the floor, said “funeral.” The purple suit jacket said “boardroom.” It wasn’t the friendly, energetic image Nemona had dreamed of having as champion, but if this really was wrong, La Primera would notice, and if she didn’t, well, then this was the image a Paldean champion needed and Nemona would learn to like it.
“Hmm... something about this just isn’t right,” Geeta mused, looking Nemona over.
Finally! Nemona thought, lighting up.
Geeta reached out and tugged a bit of Nemona’s bangs out of the ponytail elastic, letting it fall over one of her eyes. “There. A dark-type user should have a mysterious touch. Later we’ll get you a half-mask instead, but we’re short on time. Now, let’s go figure things out with your team.” With that, they left.
Soon, the two were heading to the arena. Geeta was right about them being short on time- it was eleven, which meant that she had two hours at best to make the connection with her new team, work out their movesets, and get on stage. Geeta led her to the practice fields behind the stadium and took a seat on the bleachers.
“There you are,” Geeta said, handing Nemona her kingambit’s pokéball, three labeled bags of rare candy and a thermos of soup laced with dark tera shards. “Now do your thing.”
Nemona had tried battling with every Pokémon type under the sun, and she loved most of them. It wasn’t that she didn’t like dark types, but, well, yeah, she didn’t like dark types. Poison types turned into total sweeties once they trusted you to respect their boundaries, most ghost types were goofballs that just looked scary, but dark types... once you broke through their aloofness, you were left with creatures whose sense of playfulness was always a bit sadistic and whose reaction to a new person was “how do I stay away” or “how do I take advantage.” And their battle tactics felt like cheating.
But for the Paldea League, she could do this.
Nemona took a deep breath and started rummaging through her bag for the pokéballs containing ceruledge and lokix. She found them and released the trio. The lokix and kingambit glared at her briefly before respectively hopping and hair-gliding off to do their own thing as cerulege stood by and watched them.
“Wait,” Nemona called, trying not to sound desperate. The two creatures turned back to her. Just forget their type, she told herself, maybe it'll be like Arven's mabosstif or Clavel's meowscarada. “Us four are going to be a team the next few days, alright guys? We’re going to win the champion tournament together. Are you with me?”
The two returned to her side, which she took as a yes.
“Alright!” Nemona said, bolder now, “First thing’s first, we gotta get you guys up to the typical level of champion Pokémon, so eat up!” She handed out the bags of rare candy, each of which had been labelled with the Pokémon's name. To the cerulege, she also handed the thermos of dark shard soup. The cerulege observed it coolly, as though suspicious.
“To change your Tera type,” she explained.
Not without hesitation, it drank the soup. Nemona could swear she saw the light in its eyes lessen as it drank. Would it be crafty and aloof like its teammates now? If only it was that easy for humans.
“Alright. Now, why don’t you show me what you’ve got so I can come up with movesets that play to your strengths. You two!” she pointed to the kingambit and cerulege, “Show me what you’ve got!”
The two blade-users lined up about fifteen feet apart on the field. Cerulege’s fiery blades shot out from its hands, and kingambit finally stood up from its throne and drew its own blades. Nemona blinked and they were jousting.
Nemona whipped out her notebook and furiously jotted down notes. Cerulege seemed to have decent speed- more speed than kingambit anyhow- but kingambit was taking physical hits like they were nothing. They both seemed pretty good in physical attack.
Cerulege ran a few steps back and hit kingambit with a flamethrower. It wasn’t a very impressive flamethrower, but it knocked the kingambit to the ground, seemingly dealing a lot of damage. Nemona took a mental note not to send kingambit out against special attackers and to replace flamethrower with a physical fire move.
Enraged, the kingambit stood up again and delivered a sucker punch to cerulege. It then called upon lokix and they took turns kicking it while it was down- a move Nemona knew as “beat up.” Finally, kingambit flung its held item- a metal plate- at cerulege, knocking it out cold.
Nemona cringed. Maybe she could do away with those moves- they weren’t very versatile anyhow. It suddenly occurred to her that lokix was also a physical attacker. What if Leon used a physical wall? Dark-type moves were full of tricks. Maybe they had a trick for this. She could work with this. She had to.
It felt like no time at all before Geeta informed Nemona that she had five minutes left to choose movesets before they had to move into the stadium. They entered the changing room and Geeta began touching up her outfit and coaching her on her presentation while Nemona watched the broadcast screen.
Leon strode into the arena with his charizard flying overhead a few feet behind him. He took his place, struck his signature pose, and let his charizard fly over him, making his cape and long purple hair flow in the wind. The crowd went wild.
As Nemona watched the screen from the changing room, Geeta gave Nemona’s jacket a final tug. “Best of luck,” she said. Nemona nodded and stepped out.

I took the idea CD 💿 anon came up with it and ran with it.
In my idea it follows Mumbo and is primarily Mumbo/Cub.
Mumbo is from the Kalos Region, and when he was 19 moved to the Paldea region.
He wanted to originally be a breeder, and hatched his first Pokémon ever, Togepi.
But Togepi helped him see his happiness in life was to be a professor.
So off Mumbo went to learn under the new Pokémon Professor of the Paldea Region.
Grian is Mumbo’s long term friend from when Grian was studying in Paldea to be a gym leader.
A few years after Grian took the gym leader title of Flying Type with Xatu, Mumbo comes to do his Felid Test. And Grian is the one who guides him around the region.
This Felid Test is Mumbo and Togekiss (Mumbo’s partner and best friend.), way of proving themselves as Pokemon Professor.
Mumbo is here to learn all he can about the region legendaries The Watcher and The Listener. (Records of their sightings are slim at best and unknown what they do)
And yes Mumbo is very aware of Grian’s Secrets Black Mart. And Scott’s Black Market in general lol.
Cub runs a company called ConCorp that owns most things and keeps all things running in the region.
Cub himself seems like a sweet and approachable guy. Having a team that is mostly cutesy Pokémon to keep that persona. His main team I told you is for when he’s as the Leader of ConVex.
This isn’t a story where the Heroes win, Mumbo is no Saint, no one is.
But anywho Mumbo’s team mates
-
You are Challenged by Pokemon Professor In Training Mumbo Jumbo!
Togekiss (Fairy and Flying)
Meowscarada -Terastallize Poison- (Grass and Dark)
Magneton (Steel and Electric)
Rotom (Electric and Ghost)
Gible -Terastallize Electric- (Dragon and Ground)
Lopunny -Mega Evolution- (Normal -Fighting-)
-
Mumbo comes from Kalos and is able to Mega Evolve his Lopunny.
His time in Paldea had him acquire a Tera Ball, and this was when he was partnered with Meowscarda (in its pre evolution forms). And where he found Gible too.
Togekiss can somehow break out of its pokeball. Mumbo isn’t sure how. And mostly does this to cuddle Mumbo when he’s overly stress.
Later she does this to Cub when he’s around as for some odd reason Togekiss really likes Cub lol.
YES PROFESSOR MUMBO I LOVE IIITTTT <333
MUMCUB TOO? LET'S GOOOOO
Jade you have the best ideas qoq

Area Zero: Notable Pokemon and Operations
Area Zero is structured like a giant spiral around a great chasm in the center which leads directly to the bottom. The safest path is around this spiral. There is also difficult terrain in the form of sharp inclines of loose mud, rock and dirt from landslides, which cannot be scaled again by a human alone, a pokemons help will be needed.
Zero lab, where we are headed, is held shut by four locks that are remotely accessed from the four research stations along this spiral path. We will need to stop at each of these and access the computers within to proceed, the RFID chip in my logo glove only gives me access to these research stations and their limited systems. They also serve as safehouses, with beds and a basic stock of medical equipment, more then the first-aid kits I gave to you, we can restock here if necessary.
---------------------------------------
Dangerous pokemon feed off the radiation from the crystals down here. We'll be in the heart of the paradox pokemons home, so expect to be seen as prey and jumped at any moment.
Species we've seen down here include:
Farigiraf line
Coviknight
Braviary
Volcarona
Pawmot line
Medicham line
Raichu
Espeon
Garganacl line
Donphan line
Lycanroc
Copperahja line
Hawlucha
Honchkrow line
Gogoat
Talonflame
Lokix
Floatzle line
Golduck line
Altaria line
Masquerain
Bisharp
Vaporeon
Bellibolt line
Weavile line
Sableye
Zweilous and Deino
Dudunsparce line
Espathra
Garchomp line
Dugtrio
Glimmora line
Umbreon
Chansey
On top of these, seven species of paradox pokémon have been identified appearing in relatively great numbers. They all share a similar trait or ability of being supercharged in intense sunlight- manifested as scarlet energy crackling over their bodies like electricity- that enhances one of their highest attributes.
We call this ability "Protosynthesis."
Species listed here by code name first, like species second.
Scream Tail (Jigglypuff): Psychic/Fairy type. Very Defensive and fast, but lacking in raw power. Usually attacks with Psychic Fangs and Play Rough.
Great Tusk (Donphan): Ground/Fighting type. Extremely aggressive, Strong attack and physical defense, prone to Headlong Rush and Close combat.
Brute Bonnet (Amoongus): Grass/Dark type. Extremely physically powerful, high defenses and HP, but lacking in speed. Seed Bomb and Sucker Punch are its most common moves.
Flutter Mane (Misdreavus): Ghost/Fairy type. Extremely fast special attacker with matching special defenses, but strongly lacking in physical defenses and HP. Usually attacks with Mystical Fire and Moonblast.
Slither Wing (Volcarona): Bug/Fighting type. Extremely high physical attack, specially defensive, and fast, but lacking in other areas. Lunge, Leech Life and Superpower are its preferred moves.
Sandy Shocks (Magneton): Electric/Ground type. Very fast special attacker, physically sturdy, Discharge and Earth Power are its preferred moves.
Roaring Moon (Salamence): Dragon/Dark type. Highly aggressive and will always strike to kill. Do not engage. Highly recommended to flee unless fighting is the only option. Very physically strong, specially defensive and fast, capable of flight. Roaring moon have been documented finding canisters of booster energy, which activates Protosynthesis without the presence of intense sunlight, and given this Pokemons preference for living in caves, makes it highly formidable. Dragon Rush and Throat chop are its preferred moves.
Apex Koraidon (Cyclizar): Dragon/Fighting type. The first paradox pokemon ever pulled through the time machine- and the one who killed Sada. Conjures its own sunlight when entering battle, Extremely strong, fast and physically defensive. Legendary pokemon level threat. Only one currently exists in the depths. Will hunt and kill humans on sight. Avoid at all costs.
--------------------------------
ZERO LAB.
Zero lab is a gargantuan research facility at the bottom of Area zero, almost completely encased in tera crystals outside of the main entrance door. According to the most recent expedition notes, the facility is built mainly into the ground below, several stories connected by a single elevator, at the very bottom of which houses the time machine. The computers on the higher levels will likely house what we need. Sada's AI body is gone, thus rendering the Time machine inoperable... At least according to our research, that's the case.

Thoughts about the latest Pokémon presents (though mostly hidden treasures)
So before I get into the new DLC news, I just want to talk about some of the other things we saw.
Super excited about the new Paldean winds series! I hope it follows a similar structure to Twilight Wings where we got to see pre-existing characters but I'm really excited either way!
I got my Mew! Unfortunately I got the lamest Tera possible with normal, but it's still a Mew.
Now for the real meat and potatoes: The DLC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE all of the new Pokémon shown! Dipplin is so damn cute and I am definitely getting one. Thought it was a convergent instead of an evo lol. The new Duraludon evo looks pretty interesting, not my exact cup of tea but cool nonetheless.
And of course we have the new paradoxes. I know that Raging Bolt is either a love it or hate it and I love it. Saber tooth tiger giraffe dinosaur thing? sign me up. And of course I'm gonna love a new cobbalion so Iron Crown is sick.
And seeing new footage for Kieran was amazing. I love him so much but I have my suspicions about every character. Kieran was shown hiding behind walls and he's been advertised as non-threatening. Not saying anything yet, but my eyes are peeled for any suspicious behavior from him.
Seeing the new Terastal ogrepron is nice as well. I didn't see much difference other than it getting bigger, but I might just not be seeing it right.
Mochi is a great new thing for EVs and a new minigame seems fun. same goes for the new photo options.
But now for part two
I'm am so excited for the BB league!!! The new members are gonna be so much fun to interact with, I can just feel it. My favourite is currently Crispin but that is subject to change.
The terrarium is gonna be fun to explore because segmented natural area locations are always really cool in media and this one is no exception.
See the tiny terapagos and big terapagos was pretty neat, but I wish we had the types for the new mascot legendaries for the DLC My theory is grass/dark for ogerpron and water/rock for terapagos
The invitation feature is nice, I like interacting with characters. I'm curious if it's going to be restricted to just the gym leader or if the elite four are gonna get some of the action. probably not, but it's fun to think about.
I like that we can fully just redecorate the clubhouse. My clubhouse now bitch.
And i'm hopeful that we can go back to area zero with our crater besties because the banter was perfection.
There's totally more to talk about, but those were the most important ones to me
To all players competing in the Yokohama world championship, congratulations and good luck to you! safe travels if you're travelling and you're all going to do awesome!
Toodles

Making Up For Lost Time
I’ve wanted to write some blog posts that were larger compared to some of my latest ones. But I was too busy with important schoolwork. It didn’t help that the pollution in my country grew to the point where I couldn’t focus on the things I loved that weren’t Pokémon.
Thankfully, things have gotten better for me. For one, some close acquaintances are actually doing something to combat the air quality problems and the people who cause them. I’ve also recovered both physically and mentally. Now I can go back to working on the things I couldn’t do all those weeks ago.
It’s time to make up for all the time I lost!
JULY 17TH
I finally found all the orange stakes in Pokémon Violet! When I went to find the shrine for the next legendary Pokémon, I found out that it was in a completely different location.
And when I touched it, a Pokémon that WASN’T Chi-Yu popped out.
What is this thing, and why doesn’t its fur match up with the color of the shrine/stakes?
After one Master Ball, I managed to add it to my collection.
If it has something to do with swords, then why doesn’t Chien-Pao lower every other Pokémon’s Attack?
JULY 18TH
I spent most of the time I had for the day collecting shiny Pokémon.
I first went back in time to Hisui so I could trade this shiny Sylveon I caught in a Max Raid battle for another shiny Pokémon I haven’t gotten yet. After HOURS of waiting and haggling, I was eventually able to trade it for a shiny Yanma.
And with Yanma, the Yanma line has finally been completed.
Before I moved on to the next game, I had to release another Pokémon. And when I did, something happened.
Apparently, Pokémon you release in this game leave behind gifts for you. I’ve never seen this behavior since I never release any of the Pokémon I have. (Outside of specific situations...)
At least it was something useful.
After all of that, I moved onto Pokémon Brilliant Diamond Version to trade the Drapion I had. Thankfully, I found someone who was willing to trade something good to me. (Whatever that Pokémon is, you’ll just have to visit the Shiny Collection to find out.)
I was also fortunate to fight in a few battles. Naturally, I won them all. Even after 2 months, I’m still the best!
I should draw with my stylus more. (If only it wasn’t so terrible.)
I also managed to get another shiny Pokémon in a trade. The second shiny Unown I’ve ever owned!
It’s not an S. But it’ll do for now. (I could catch shiny versions of the other Unown and create a new Unown laboratory. But I think I’ll save that for later.)
JULY 20TH
I was kind of busy with schoolwork that day. I battled someone in Violet Version and I managed to get over whatever I was worried about the previous day. I even finished that assignment I mentioned earlier.
JULY 21ST
I managed to improve my battle skills. I feel like I can make smarter decisions now that my brain is getting the oxygen it needs.
I got a Charizard through an event. It has a Dark Tera Type. (Although, I don’t know why anyone would change it to THAT...)
I’m not sure WHY it has my name registered to it. (It was supposed to be someone else’s.)
I guess this makes Charizard the first event Pokémon I’ve caught that has a Classic Ribbon. (I should take him back to Sinnoh with me so I can win him even more ribbons.)
To improve my brain’s capabilities, I went to the academy to take on the Battle class.
I’m pretty sure the Treasure Hunt ended a month ago. (I hope I don’t cause any trouble by bringing a legendary Pokémon to this class.)
Then this class could become on par with the classes at Earl’s Pokémon Academy.
But it doesn’t completely restore their HP. (Most of the time...)
If they feel that way, they should have gone with a Pokémon that was right for the job.
The midterms are here already? I guess this class really is the one I excel at the most.
To be honest, an indoor area would be a more ideal place to hold a test like this.
A perfect A+. And THIS is what I get for it. (Captures the education system perfectly.)
Time to take on the last few lessons.
But will Auto-Battles increase a Pokémon’s specific stats?
Hopefully that hacker isn’t someone who comes to this school on a daily basis...
I wish the lessons in this class would go over stuff like this. Pokémon Stadium 2 went over battle basics in a much better way.
But what about Triple Battles? Or Sky Battles?
But they’ll be no good if their stats weren’t trained properly.
Eventually, I managed to complete the final exam and pass the class. Now that I’m done with this one, it’s off to Art.
JULY 22ND
When I was about to exit my dorm room, the map stated that Penny was somewhere in the main hall.
I mean, that WAS the plan for the admins, wasn’t it?
It HAS been a few months since they’ve reformed. Life should have improved for them in that time.
That should cover the previous week. I’d focus on battling more. But I want to go back to drawing. It’s been so long since I’ve sketched anything...
#pokémon#Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl#Pokemon Legends Arceus#Pokemon Violet#Charizard#Kanto#Yanma#Shiny Pokemon#Unown#Johto#Chien-Pao#Legendary Pokemon#Paldea#Dendra#Penny#Uva Academy#screenshots#poketch#Nintendo Switch#Nintendo#Game Freak#Creatures Inc.#Ilca#I wish I raised some of Donphan's contest stats so I could enter him into a contest#I guess that will have to wait until I'm done in Paldea#Or maybe I could work on Charizard instead...

Disclaimer: the images in this post are arranged in a way so that the Scarlet images are all on the left and the Violet images are all on the right. Obviously I only took on the Academy Ace Tournament in one version at a time
Took on the Academy Ace Tournament in both versions and here were my opponents in the order battled (apart from the fact the Scarlet images are all on the left and the Violet images are all on the right). I’ve learned two things from this - 1 is that Miriam can be the first opponent (like in Scarlet) or the 3rd opponent (like in Violet). She has the same lines in both positions. The second is that Nemona can actually be battled in this tournament (genuinely she’s never appeared to me in this in Violet and I haven’t had the chance for her to appear in this in Scarlet up until now). Also her Pokémon don’t have an order they’re sent out apart from her starter being her final Pokémon and probably her leading with Lycanroc (I remember Orthworm being her penultimate Pokémon in Scarlet because Luna was struggling and nearly cried so I swapped it out for Blueberry only to bring Luna back against her ugly croc (I had every wish to send out Quax or keep Blueberry out instead but I had plans involving Terastalising every single one of my aces and I’d already used Quax against Tyme and Blueberry against Penny. I also kinda wanted Clavell to be my last opponent in Violet so I could beat the shit out of that ugly croc twice in one day but I got Nemona with her fabulous gay duck instead) but she sent Orthworm out really early on against me in Violet. Also Dudunsparce I think was her 2nd Pokémon in Scarlet but her penultimate Pokémon in Violet). Oh yeah the third thing I learnt (or possibly fourth) is that Dark-types can cry. Both Luna and Spriggie nearly cried at some point (I returned Luna to its ball and took out Blueberry to deal with Orthworm and also use a full heal on Luna while Spriggie has a Shell Bell on him so he just gradually healed up as the battle continued and he kept taking out Raifort’s Pokémon)
My aces Terastalising for no reason other than it’s pretty. It’s hard to tell what’s going on in half these images so in order Fire Tera type Char (Armarouge), Fire Tera type Char (Ceruledge), Water Tera type Quax (Quaquaval), Grass Tera type Spriggie (Meowscarada), Water Tera type Blueberry (Walking Wake), Psychic Tera type Cherry (Iron Leaves), Dragon Tera type Luna (Roaring Moon) and Fighting Tera type Knight (Iron Valiant). Roaring Moon are honestly kinda ugly but somehow Luna got out-uglied by Nemona’s Skeledirge (okay that’s enough Skeledirge slander for one post)
Blueberry and Cherry making entrances in the third battles, the ones where they were the ones Terastalising
And of course my aces shouting after defeating their final opponents
As you can see, Liko’s Sprigatito and Dot’s Quaxly in both games have evolved into Liko’s Floragato and Dot’s Quaxwell. As much as I prefer their fully-evolved forms I want to wait a bit and use their middle stages so I haven’t allowed them to fully-evolve just yet
Still, because I chose Quax/Quaxly/Quaquaval in Scarlet and Spriggie/Sprigatito/Meowscarada in Violet I now have the Pokédex entries for Floragato in Scarlet and Quaxwell in Violet
#miriam pokemon#saguaro pokemon#tyme pokemon#raifort pokemon#penny pokemon#rival nemona#armarouge#ceruledge#quaquaval#meowscarada#walking wake#iron leaves#roaring moon#iron valiant#floragato#quaxwell#pokémon scarlet#pokémon violet#pokémon#I think I do prefer their middle stages to their unevolved stages to be fair#like the Sprigatito and Quaxly lines just start great and get better in every stage#in comparison to the Fuecoco line which starts off meh and gets worse every stage#*gets bonked on the head because I already said “that’s enough Skeledirge slander for one post” and yet I continued to slander it*#oh yeah that’s sorta why I haven’t bothered waiting for the Roy’s Fuecoco distribution to begin before evolving these guys#I do also wanna point out there’s probably a good reason Luna is my only ace that doesn’t have the Partner Mark#it just tends to get forgotten because I’m always focusing on everyone else#anyway now that it’s got the Paldean Champion ribbon or whatever it’s called it’s got that title active instead of the Gourmet

Ranking the Tera Jewels from Pokémon Scarlet/Violet
So I was going over things to do for the year when I started thinking about Pokémon Scarlet, because I have Scarlet specifically and didn't have interest in Violet, and how the Tera Jewels look.
Basically, there are some I like and some I dislike. Therefore I decided to write down my opinion about them like any other sane nobody on the backwaters of the internet.
Remember that this is my opinion and I have absolutely zero influence so shouting and screaming at me accomplishes nothing.... Anyhow...
18. Dark
As I was playing Scarlet and doing the blinding terastalizing thing over and over. I began to wonder what the Dark tera type jewel would be like.
I had seen the Grass, Fire, Water, Electric, Rock, and Ground jewels so my expectations were high.
Would it be a moon? A thief mask? That weird demon masks that appears in everything Japanese themed?
Oh, nope, it's just a comic action bubble with an impish grin on it...
You know, there's so many options they could have gone with the Dark type. Instead, we get a sign post that goes "hey I evil now hehehehehe"
I thought Dark type was supposed to be intimidating or ominous. I feel nothing with this comic book print piece. Not even amusement like what actual comics give people. All it did was make a lame appearance after a massive flash and disappoint.
Guess they were invoking DC comics energy for this tera jewel.
17. Flying
The second I saw the gift Pikachu I knew this tera jewel was specifically made for nostalgia bait.
Much like the Dark tera jewel, there was a metric ton of options that could have been made and they went with the dumb one. I'm not calling it lazy. Lazy would have been a single sphere and called it a day. Give them props for putting strings on the three spheres they made!
I joke, but this tera jewel does feel low end. Not really the worst that could have been but still sort of lame.
Also, it's funny to terastalize Drifblim into a flying type so it ends up being a balloon with balloons attached to it.
16. Fairy
Listen... just because I rank something low doesn't mean I do not like it. In all honesty, the fairy tera jewel is something I would've picked out for the fairy type. and... that's the main issue with it.
Yes, fairies are all cute and bubbly and oh so adorable so a regular heart shape is the best and possibly only option for the type.
Can you think of something better? I can't. Mainly because my brain has been absent for a numbar I can't count on my fingers. So however long it's been is no concern of mine.
Where was I going with this?
Oh yeah, hearts and fairies are good together. However it's cliche and that's why it gets slotted in the lowest ranks.
15. Fighting
Speaking of expected, a boxing glove was something I did not expect for a tera jewel and said "oh of course it'd be that"
This is the same issue the fairy type had. It's something that is so cliche and expected that seeing leaves me meh.
What? You want more emotion? This is a list about crystal headgear colorful fantasy creatures wear in what is considered a kid's game. Being meh is the only emotion you're going to get out of me here.
At least it wasn't that anger symbol all anime from the 80s/90s had. Then I would've had emotions for this one.
14. Ice
Should be a surprise to no one at all that I don't really like the very expected obvious choices for tera jewels. Which is exactly why Ice, one of my favorite types, is so low.
All it is is a snowflake. Terastalizing turns my pokémon into snowflakes which turns me into a snowflake which makes me triggered.
Ice was already kind of a useless type in battle since ice is weak to practically any type that attacks.
Meaning I was wrong in my ranking and Ice is actually 18 for being bad in battle.
That was a joke. This list isn't based on battle effectiveness or functionality. It's based on what I think looks good and I like snowflake because snowflake pretty!
13. Grass
You know what else is pretty? Flowers.
Crystal flowers are very pretty and sparkly and I bet they smell nice too. Maybe... I don't know my skull is hollow.
It is a very common tera type, though, so you're going to see it too many times to care. I know I had after terastalizing my starter, a Deerling, a tera raid Starly, a Foongus, and that thing that is not a Tentacool. Yeah, 7.5 out of 10, too much grass!
12. Ground
This is the ultimate test to see how long before I make a very specific reference to that Japanese cartoon everyone loves... I can smell the pitchforks already.
Anyhow, the ground tera jewel is different from the rock tera jewel because the rock is a building while the ground is what the building is built on.
What really surprised me was the fact that the ground type was given the most colorful tera jewel in the game. Yes, even more color than the flying tera jewel.
It also didn't appear as often... for me at least. The only thing I saw it on was Clodsire/Whooper. And, come on, we all agree that this tera jewel is adorable on Clodsire.
It's like a little hat! My little Clodsire has Za World on its little head!
ah, hit that JoJo reference...
11. Fire
Yo, I head you like chandeliers so we put chandeliers on all your fire type pokémon so they never burn out.
And it looks good. Pretty crystal chandelier is top tier design. Excellent choice! I was expecting a candle but its third evolution works much better.
In actuality, this one was tied with the next one because they looked similar and I put this one lower because I have bias against fire.
"Oh wow, the person with Frost in their name and has Ice type as one of their favorites hates fire. How cliche."
Yes. That is correct. You can dump me down to the pits of your "random person from the backwaters of the internet" list if you want.
I'm already burnt out on this list and need a refreshment.
10. Water
Ha ha, refreshment like a beverage like a glass of water. Get it? I explained a joke so it'll be funnier.
No. That's stupid and I feel gross for doing that. I'm super sorry you had to read that.
Like I said, this one was tied with Fire because they look similar. Not the same but similar enough.
Also, is this supposed to be a fountain or a spring or a spout?
Whatever, it looks good and pretty and cool and that's all that matters.
Downside is this one appears on a LOT of pokémon and I do mean too many to count. I already made the IGN joke so I'll have to do the unthinkable and come up with an original joke!
ok, I can do this, um...
... ... ... ...
9. Electric
Ding! I have an idea!
Moving on to the next entry! How clever.
This one gave me the most giggles because it's just a light bulb.
It's stupid and unoriginal but so funny I can excuse it. Plus the fact they managed to lower to opacity to make the bulb itself translucent in the crystal effect is astonishing.
How'd they pull that off? Must've been a month of work just for that. And they had less that a year to develop it? Legends Arceus came out in January 2022 so yeah, less than a year.
Someone force these people to go on vacation.
I like the light bulb. It's funny and makes the game brighter because I smile over it. and then go blind because of the brightness.
8. Poison
I was expecting like slime or a trashcan to be the tera jewel for the poison type but nope, it's the classic skull and cross bones.
The skull and crossbones had been used as a universal sign for mess around and die. Which is most fitting for poison types.
And, yes, it is one of the many obvious picks I threw a bunch into the lower section of the list for. But the poison tera jewel has the benefit of being a crystal skull that shines like a diamond.
It looked prettier than the other obvious picks so I put it up higher for being the best looking obvious choice I didn't expect.
7. Ghost
This one is an actual nostalgia bait but it didn't have to fold in on itself like how the flying type did.
The ghost tera jewel is the ghost sprite from generation one. That's cool and totally draws me in even though my first pokémon game was Silver.
A funny thing to think about is thinking of the tera jewel ghost possessing your pokémon when they terastalize.
Call me morbid or something but I got mild amusement from thinking that. Add it to a nuzlocke and have it so your dead pokémon come back for revenge battle.
6. Bug
What could bug possibly get for a tera jewel? What entomologist decided which bug was best to represent the entire bug type pokémon?
Turns out it was a butterfly... and it's the cutest thing ever.
I first saw this when I battled the bug gym with an over leveled team that swept the gym in less than half a minute. That's including the time it took for the terastalizing animation to finish.
That gym leader had a bug bear, HA!
But I briefly saw the oh so cute crystal butterfly on that Teddiursa and wanted one.
I don't know how good bugs are in battle but I don't really care either because something I said earlier that I don't recall at the moment. All that matters to me is that crystal butterfly is something I want and I want to purchase crystal butterflies off etsy.
5. Steel
You ever get an axe logged into your head and you suddenly become a steel type pokémon? I can only claim the first half of that sentence but the point still stands.
This is an axe... that is embedded in the skull of your pokémon.
There's nothing cute, pretty, or cliche about it. It's just so gosh darn hilarious I made a steel tera type team just to have that specific tera jewel appear.
The steel type is a defensive behemoth to boot so it's like giving your pokémon a MASSIVE BRONZE SHIELD whenever you jam that axe in their head.
I'm not a competitive player nor have I ever cared about the battling that much. I just find it hilarious thinking of all the actual competitive players using pokémon with axes in their heads to get those steel type resistances.
4. Rock
For the rock type, I 100% expected it to be a Kirby hat. You know, the one that is basically a pile of rocks and lets Kirby turn into various stones.
Well color me yellow because seeing the Parthenon be the tera type jewel shocked me!
At least it looks like the Parthenon to me. And oddly enough, it's a perfect unexpected fit.
See, the Parthenon is made of marble which is pretty much fancy stone. The high class kind of rock that has no time to squabble with the garnets or amethysts.
This one was a real treat to see. Pokémon often uses landmarks for various spots in their games. And while I'm certain that temple that becomes Spear Pillar in Legends Arceus was meant to be the equivalent to the Parthenon. I do hope for a region based around Greece and/or Italy.
Or we'll just stick to teasing it.
3. Psychic
I... don't like the psychic type.
They were over powered in generation one. Render poison types useless due to being tied with faries in generation 6. and have some of the most unpleasant designs... ok, last one is personal but I'm right on the first two!
Yeah, and of course the pure fairy type, Florges, gets terastalized to be psychic in the psychic gym. Who's gym leader is a makeup artist with her own brand of makeup. She's interesting but this isn't about gym leaders.
We're here for the tera jewels! And what does the psychic type give us?
A massive glowing crystal eye!
Wow... I know it is cliche, expected, and obvious to pick the standard psychic eye to be the tera jewel for the psychic type. However... the eye is textured (similar to the poison tera jewel) and actually glows to make it stand out far more than the rest of the tera types in general.
I'm downright mesmerized by that eye. It's unlike any of the other tera types I've seen.
I was so mesmerized by that eye I forgot why I don't like psychic pokémon for a couple minutes...
Then the confusion reminded me oh too well.
2. Dragon
Now this... this is art.
The dragon tera jewel is, well, a dragon.
Chock this up to the no Sherlock Whover.
At this point, I'm not excusing the obvious picks. We're on the second to last entry and I'm getting very tired of writing. So Let's just sum it up.
Yes, it's a dragon. A dragon that sits on your pokémon's head.
Like Remy from that movie about rats that run a restaurant.
It is also a very very nice color. Doesn't sparkle much but still good color and design.
This tera jewel just radiates awesome energy and I love it.
Normal
Yeeeeah.... so Normal isn't something that is known for uniqueness or having anything tied to it.
At the end of the day, normal is so bland and uninspired that there's literally nothing you can do to make normal interesting. All you have is meh.
So what in blazes could make normal the most appealing tera jewel to me?
Make it a plain, boring, old gemstone...
They achieved perfection. Our mortal brains can't comprehend this level of brilliance and I don't even have a brain!
It's just... it's just a regular gemstone! It should be at the bottom of the list for being so bland! But it's not. Why?
Because it is so bland and boring.
All the previous entries were tera jewels that tried to fit their type and they morphed into weird, stupid, and been there done that objects.
Normal, meanwhile, went with something so bland and normal that it transcended its normalcy and became the most interesting tera jewel!
I guess when you're stuck in the middle of a crowd full of polychromatic protagonists, being the dull ordinary one ironically makes you the only unique personality in the room. Sometimes being plain vanilla is the only way to get the most attention.
...or I just have a thing for diamonds.
Either way that's how I ranked all the tera jewels in Pokémon Scarlet. Now it's out there... hope you enjoyed it.

Tera Types for Sonic characters
Something that floated into my brain while trying to take a nap. Well, it started out as how Rouge would react seeing the crystals in Area Zero. My conclusion was she'd cry and want to live there forever.
But anyway, it wouldn't surprise me of Sonic and his friends had the ability to invoke the Tera powers for themselves.
So what type would they be?
Sonic - I never really know what type to put Sonic as. I can see him with a Grass Tera type because the headpiece reminds me of the flowers in Green Hill Zone. And he does have an affinity for plant life and flowers. Flying is also something I thought of cause it's close to his wind element. But since he's always wielding new powers, what if he was the new Stellar Type? Seems very fitting, or at least for Super Sonic. But a bit ironic that this fast hedgehog would have a tortoise for a Tera crystal.
Tails - Electric most definitely. Due to being techno savvy and has wielded electricity powers before. Also he has many ideas which fits perfectly with the light bulb headpiece.
Knuckles - Fighting. The headpiece is a giant fist, like come on. Through Rock and Ground would work too but I can't pass up the giant fist.
Amy - Fairy. Giant pink heart like the ones that come out of her hammer. Could be a reference to her love for Sonic.
Cream - Flying. I initially thought Grass for her but seeing her wearing the Balloon headpiece is too precious. Also, she flies so it works.
Shadow - Obviously Dark. Do I really need to explain this one?
Rouge - Normal because she seems to have more practical and realistic methods of fighting. But also it's a big hekkin diamond ring headpiece so of course.
Omega - Steel, cause he metal. But there's something badass about that giant ax headpiece that would look great on him.
Blaze - Fire, duh
Silver - Psychic, again duh
Big - Water for his love of fishing. I think he and Kofu would get along actually.
Vector - Dragon. Ignoring the reptilian part. Vector has some Dragon like qualities. Mainly the ability to breathe fire.
Espio - Poison. Though I haven't seen him use poison, ninjas are known to carry it around. I mean half of the Poison specialists in Pokémon are themed around ninjas. Also matching colors.
Charmy - Bug, cause he's a bee.
There's some types I didn't cover as I'm not definitive on it. I think Ground or Rock would work with Tikal or Chip (I say Tikal as she has a move in SA2B called "Wrath of Gaia" hinting at some earth powers). Maybe Chaos could be Ice even though he seems more like Water. He's the closest character to actual ice anyway. It's so strange we haven't had a character yet who wields ice powers. Ghost seems like it would be most fitting for Infinite, the Phantom Ruby and all.

Nemona liked it- she looked like Geeta’s protégé - so mature and professional. “This morning we’ll find you something suitable to wear and prepare your team. Let’s go.”
—
Geeta waited patiently as Nemona sorted through her pc boxes at the hotel’s restaurant table. If only Geeta had told her about this before, she would have prepared by now. But her feelings of failure subsided as she went through the array of creatures she’d trained over the past two treasure hunts and scribbled down the names of any particularly good candidates that crossed her sight.
Nemona looked up to Geeta. “Alright! I’ve got a list of eight candidates, listed from best to least best.
“The leagues of the other regions already have good reputations, but the Paldea league has a lot of damage repair to do for its own. Everything we do must be perfect. That is why I adopted the image I have, and I expect you to do the same. Understood?”
“Yes! Absolutely! So, what do you think my ace should be? I’ll go with whatever you say!”
“Very well. Let me see your pc box.”
Nemona handed Geeta the tablet. Geeta took her time looking through each box, seemingly quite impressed with Nemona’s work.
“Well, ceruledge would be a good choice,” Geeta said finally. “It’s strong, noble-looking and native to Paldea. And since we don’t have a dark-type specialist in the Paldea league yet or a dark specialist champion anywhere, you could use lokix and borrow my kingambit, and we’ll use shards to turn ceruledge’s tera type to dark. How does that sound?”
Nemona smiled awkwardly. “Well.. okay. The thing is, I haven’t used either of those. Like, at all. They aren’t very well-leveled. And I’ve never really used any dark-type, and...” Nemona trailed off.
“Actually, it’s fine.
“Good. And don’t worry about their level. I brought rare candy. For now, let’s worry about your outfit and their movesets.”
After breakfast, it was off to the Lillycove Department Store to figure out her new champion costume. Geeta led her straight for a locally-owned clothing store that did custom designs. It wouldn’t have stood out to most, but Nemona recognized it instantly. This was where Wallace got all his costumes made. This really was the full champion treatment! Following behind Geeta, Nemona looked to the colourful outfits on the racks, looking for inspiration.
“Excellent. Can you tell me their gender, measurements, and so on? And do you know what you would like it to look like?”
The dress said “funeral.” The jacket said “boardroom.” It wasn’t the friendly, energetic image she’d dreamed of, but if this really was wrong, La Primera would notice, and if she didn’t, well, then she was right and Nemona would learn to like it.
“Hmm... something about this just isn’t right,” Geeta mused, looking Nemona over.
Finally! Nemona thought, lighting up. She knew that La Primera would see that this wasn’t right!
Geeta was right about them being short for time- it was eleven, which meant that she had two hours at best to make the connection with her new team, work out their movesets, and get on stage. Geeta led her to the practice fields behind the stadium and took a seat on the bleachers.
“There you are,” Geeta said, handing Nemona her kingambit’s pokéball and a thermas of soup laced with dark tera shards. “Now do your thing.”
Nemona had tried battling with every Pokémon type under the sun, and she loved most of them. It wasn’t that she didn’t like dark types, but, well, yeah, she didn’t like dark types. Poison types turned into total sweeties once they trust you to respect their boundaries, most ghost types were goofballs that just looked scary, but dark types... once you broke through their aloofness, you were left with creatures whose sense of playfulness was always a bit sadistic and whose reaction to a new person was “how do I stay away” or “how do I take advantage.” And their battle tactics felt like cheating.
But La Premira wanted a dark-specialist champion and that was what she was going to get.
Nemona took a deep breath and started rummaging through her bag for the pokéballs containing ceruledge and lokix. She found them along with the baggies of rare candy and the dark shard soup Geeta had prepared, and released the trio. The lokix and kingambit glared at her briefly before respectively hopping and hair-gliding off to do their own thing.
“Wait,” Nemona called, trying not to sound desperate. The two creatures turned back to her. Just forget their type, she told herself. “Us four are going to be a team the next few days, alright guys? We’re going to win the champion tournament together. Are you with me?”
The two returned to her side, which she took as a yes.
“Alright!” Nemona said, bolder now, “First thing’s first, we gotta get you guys up to the typical level of champion Pokémon, so eat up!” She handed out the bags of rare candy.
“Alright. Now, why don’t you show me what you’ve got so I can come up with move sets that play to your strengths.
It then called upon lokix and they took turns kicking it while it was down- a move Nemona knew as “beat up.” Finally, it flung its held item- a metal plate- at cerulege, winning the battle.
He took his place, struck his signature pose, and let his charizard fly in behind him, making his cape flow in the wind. The crowd went wild.
As Nemona watched the screen from the changing room, Geeta gave Nemona’s jacket a final tug. “Best of luck,” she said. Nemona nodded and stepped out.
The crowd was deafeningly quiet as Nemona came out, Geeta’s kingambit gliding next to her. She supposed it made sense- she hadn’t built up a fan-following like Leon had. She closed her eyes and tried to focus on the graceful motions Geeta had taught her, only to nearly trip on a rock and have her Pokémon catch her.
“Draw your first Pokémon,” the referee instructed once Nemona was in place. Nemona threw out her lokix. Leon threw out a ferrothorn wearing a rocky helmet.
“Let the battle begin!”
“Throat chop!” Nemona ordered, kicking herself for using double kick as its fighting-type move. So much contact on this target would take a third of lokix’s health before one round had passed.
“Reflect,” Leon returned.
The ferrothorn put up its forcefield, which weakened the insect’s impact and left the ferrothorn with barely a scratch. Lokix kept chopping away, looking agile and impressive but taking more damage than it was dealing, all while the ferrothorn barely did a thing.
“Stealth rock, then leech seed,” Leon ordered. The ferrothorn spun, throwing out rocks and seeds. Lokix was hit with the seeds and fell to the ground as they burst open and covered him in in energy-draining roots. As it writhed, the ferrothorn sat a few feet away, wreathed in an elegant wall of rocks, seeds, and forcefields.
“Lokix, stop! Come back!” Nemona called. The Pokémon returned Her heart was pounding. She had to try something else. Cerulege could probably do the job with its fire move, but between the stealth rocks and the contact damage it would nearly be taken out. It was the only Pokémon she had that Leon’s charizard couldn’t hit for super effective damage. If only she had a special attacker…
“Cerulege, out!” Nemona called, throwing its ball into the arena. The stealth rocks immediately dug into him, knocking him onto his knees momentarily, but she got back up and drew his blades.
Leon didn’t hesitate for his next move. He returned the ferrothorn and threw out an aegislash.
Nemona’s heart pounded. She’d seen Leon’s aegislash in action during his televised events. It was dubious whether she could take it out in one hit with reflect still up, and in the likely case it knew a ghost-type move, it would be over for cerulege. A switch-in meant taking an attack and the stealth-rock, so lokix would probably be knocked out immediately, and if kingambit couldn’t take it down in one move…
“Nemona, this is your thirty second warning,” called the referee.
Nemona grit her teeth. She was on a path to losing without taking out a single one of Leon’s Pokémon. Would La Primera even want her as a champion if that happened?
“Fifteen seconds.”
No. She wouldn’t let that happen.
Nemona returned cerulege and threw out the skeledirge she’d raised up during the last treasure hunt, then used her tera orb to terastallize him to pure fire-type. The aigeslash tossed up its shield and caught it, started raining down shadow balls upon the ghostly crocodile, but he tanked the hits easily.
“Alright! Skeledirge, torch song!” Nemona commanded. The crocodile reared up and gave a mighty roar, sending out a bird-shaped flame that took the living sword out with one hit. Between the terastallization, the natural boost from torch song, and the throat spray she’d had him hold, his flames had gotten massive and hot. This was more like it. “Awesome. Now just keep doing what you’re doing!”
“Charizard, your turn!” Leon called, returning aegislash as the dragon lifted up from his side and took to the battle field. “Earth power!”
The crocodile sang as the earth quaked beneath him, releasing a much bigger pheonix this time. The charizard flew upward to avoid it, but the bird caught up, jabbed him in the chest with its beak, and left him falling to the ground and skeledirge’s flames ever-hotter. When it hit the ground, it was unmoving.
“Ferrothorn, out!” Leon called after returning his charizard, though he surely knew it was over. An even bigger pheonix took it out with ease.
The crowd was going wild. Nemona had been too preoccupied to notice it, but they had been from the first torch song. Smiling, she turned to face Geeta in the crowd and found her sitting in the front row.
Geeta looked horrified. She got up and left her seat, and a minute later as Nemona left the stage, she took her arm and marched her into the change room, closing the door behind them.
“What were you doing?” Geeta asked, sounding calmer than she looked.
“I… I just didn’t want to lose so badly. I know there should have been more back-and-forth. I’m sorry!”
Geeta sighed and collected herself somewhat. “Back and forth isn’t the problem. I had you registered for this match with lokix, cerulege and kingambit. You could be disqualified for sending out a different one. Choosing three Pokémon that can be useful in a variety of situations is a part of the skill that goes into three-on-three matches. You essentially cheated.”
Nemona stayed quiet as tears built in her eyes. The worst part was that she’d known that. She’d just forgotten it in the heat of the moment.
“But… because this is just a competition for entertainment and not title or anything like that, I may be able to keep you from being disqualified. Excuse me,” Geeta said, turning to leave. “I need to go talk to the league reps and Leon. I’ll message you once I’m done.”
Nemona watched the next match to take her mind off the anxiety. The champions facing off were Iris and Wallace, using a swampart and lapras respectively. It’s not fair, Nemona thought. They looked like they were having a great time. They were allowed to use starters and different types and wear pretty outfits. It would be nice to be able to do this tournament her way. Next to her, her rotom phone was buzzing with new texts, which she purposely ignored.
A few minutes into the battle, Leon took a seat next to her. “Hey,” He said to her. “I take it that this was a rough match for you. I know what it’s like to have an overbearing manager. If you want, me and some other champions could try and help you find your style.”
Nemona turned to him. He offered her a smile. “How would you know what Geeta is like?” she asked.
“I don’t. I just got a sense that this isn’t the style or the Pokémon you’re used to. And the way Geeta handled those league reps, oof. She’s something!” He chuckled. “And, well, I had an overbearing manager myself once. Ever hear of Chairman Rose?”
Nemona's smile fell. “She’s not like that. She would never put the world in danger by something like Rose did. Heck, she’s the reason we have a league!”
“Well, I suppose Rose sets the bar pretty low. But seriously. What do you say?”
“Did La Primera put you up to this?” Nemona asked, hopeful.
“Nope, I’m here on my own.”
“No. I’m not going behind her back. Geeta wants a certain type of champion, and I want to be it.”
Leon hesitated. “Suit yourself. But, uh, let me know if you change your mind.”
The two sat in silence for a while, watching the match. Eventually Nemona couldn’t take the awkwardness and headed back to the hotel room. Once she got there, she decided to finally face her phone. Many of the messages were from Penny.
What was that? was the first message.
That wasn’t you.
Except for skeledirge. That was pretty cool.
But the outfit.
And why are you using dark-types? It took you a week of warming up to even pet Arven’s mabosstif.
Did Geeta make you do it?
You’ve got to start telling her ‘no.’
I know that you idolize her but, uh, here’s what the people that work for her are saying.
The next message were screenshots from a group chat of all the Paldean gym leaders and elite four members. What hacker-fu Penny had done to access it was beyond Nemona, and they were saying all kinds of hateful things. “Poor kid,” Rika had said, “You just know that she’s doing this because if she went on herself she’d be booed off the stage.”
“That would be funny!” Poppy responded.
“I can’t believe she bought Nemona that stupid outfit instead of paying our overtime,” Larry messaged.
There were eight screenshots, but Nemona only got through the first one before she was furiously typing out a message of her own. Did these people not remember that Geeta had saved the league? It had been falling apart from mismanagement, and then Geeta had stepped away from her company and fixed it. She’d strong-armed in a new elite four when the old one had quit, revamped the gyms to be city-wide since they’d sold their buildings, and become the champion herself because no one else was available. Of course she made mistakes! Of course she rushed! She was doing the work for three people! And as a result, little nine-year-old Nemona had gone from watching league tournaments in other regions with envy to being able to look forward to her own!
But the message felt hollow. As she read more of the league members’ complaints, the more she related to them. Larry even complained that Geeta had forced him into using flying-types.
Before she could finish the message and press send, Geeta walked in.
“Good news,” she said. “Leon and the reps agreed to let you advance.”
Nemona took one look at Geeta’s face- now back to its usual gentle smile- and laid back on the bed. “I don’t think I can do this,” Nemona admitted. “Why do you want a dark-type champion, anyway?”
“Dark-types specifically weren’t important,” Geeta explained.
Nemona sat up suddenly. “What?” she asked. “Then why did you-?” Her eyes scrunched up. She’d never been angry at La Primera before.
Geeta sighed and sat on the bed next to her. “You know the story of how I became champion better than anyone. People were gracious of the fact that I had a lot on my plate at first. But now they only see a champion who uses common, easy-to-raise Pokémon and would have been dethroned five times by now if we used the same rules as other regions. I wanted to protect you from the same criticisms I get: that I don’t have enough of a theme, my Pokémon aren’t rare and impressive enough, and so forth. But I also made mistakes. I forced us into too much of a time crunch, and perhaps I should have allowed you to just find your own way, as the other champions did. Though, you could have spoken up a bit more.” She gave Nemona a pointed look, which she turned away from.
Nemona stayed quiet for a long time, trying to forgive her mentor. “Okay,” she said finally. A moment later, her eyes went wide. “Wait. Does that mean that so long as I have a theme, it doesn’t matter which one?”
“Well, within some limits I-”
Nemona stood up to face Geeta. “That’s perfect! Oh my gosh, Leon actually offered to help me find my style! And he made it sound like other champions would be involved as well!”
Geeta smiled. “That is perfect!”
“So I can go?”
“Yes, but-”
Nemona started running for the door, but Geeta caught her arm.
“Now, wait. Don’t forget why you are here. I brought you here because I thought that Paldea could use a real champion now that the league is in order again. I will still be watching you. If you don’t do well or aren’t representing Paldea appropriately, then I will have to bring you under my wing again. Do you understand?”
“Yes, ma’am,” Nemona said. “I won’t let you down.”
