How do u think Agatha felt everyday when she would look at Nicky and see Rio’s brown eyes and brown hair and toothy smile staring back at her. Agatha who struggles so intensely with vulnerability looking at her little boy everyday and seeing the love of her life reflected in every movement. Watching Nicky as others flock to him whether because of his mischief or because of the sense of wonder he instills with his songs. The same way the coven was so immediately entranced by rio and also repelled. Watching him craft a song so beautiful and innocent and yet so intricately tied to the death of so many. What do u think she felt when every day she watched as people were lulled into a trap of her creation by nothing but his small face and easy words. How many times do u think Rio and Agatha did that same dance before. How do u think she felt day and night surrounded by the greenest trees and the prettiest flowers and the strongest rivers and in the center of it all Nicky. Nicky who is so full of life and yet can’t survive without being surrounded by Death in every sense of the word. How he acquiesces to Agatha so easily despite not understanding why they have to kill witches. Because his mama is asking him to and that’s enough for him just like it always was for Rio. How everyday she looks at him and remembers that he’s going to die, that’s he’s going to leave her soon, always too soon. How she can never have anything more but fleeting moments with the ones that she loves.
And when he dies, the one time Agatha heeds his wishes of tomorrow, encapsulating so fully the cycle of life and death he is once again everything Agatha is not but instead everything Rio is. And just like his mother he’s unable to escape his fate. His true calling which was never with her just like Rio’s duties. How despite how fully they love her and she loves them it’s still not enough.
And after, every time she uses her siphon powers on the fake road sandwiched between Nicky’s song and Rio’s final embrace who do u think she thinks of first. Who do u think hurts more to think about. Who do u think she feels more guilt over. Because while she very loudly blames Rio it’s ultimately a facade in which to hide her own feelings. The guilt of falling in love in the first place, the shame of not being enough, the grief over the way she can never have what she truly wants. How she will never have Nicky again but Rio will never leave her side. How she refuses Rio so intensely and yet Nicky is with Rio always.
And how do u think she feels now, whenever she looks at Rio and all she sees is Nicky’s brown eyes and brown hair and toothy smile staring back at her.

When I read the third book I immediately rewrote Lesso's death scene because it made me sad, and I finally got around to editing it so... here, have this
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Archive Warning: Major Character Death Fandom: The School for Good and Evil - Soman Chainani Additional Tags: Blood and Injury, Angst, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence
Set during the third book, The Last Ever After
The battle is over, Rafal is dead, Agatha fainted and is just waking up. They've won the fight, but at what cost?

it's bad enough that cm only does 10 episodes per season, but it's even more annoying that 3/4 of the episodes so far run less than 50 minutes. Compare that to bridgerton which has 8 episodes per season yet the episodes always pass the 50 minute mark and some even lasting an hour or more
I mean, I think part of that is that Evolution just has the team + the unsub most of the time and sporadic moments of other people that will have less impact on the show, whereas Bridgerton has about 7 kabillion characters, 8 billion of which have pretty huge things happening to/around them all the time so episodes are long, but there really should just be more episodes every season. Wow, that sentence was long. I mean, there's a lot of shows that I would prefer to have longer seasons and kinda don't really get why they're so short and Bridgerton is def one of them, but whatever. I've got fanfic.
Episode run times are weird on Netflix and P+.

"I'm sure it's been a long time since you've had some fun. We need to find you some action."
Wanda winks at Agatha and the older woman rolls her eyes with a soft scoff as she raises her drink to her lips.
"Oh please, nothing with Ralph was ever fun. It was just... Sex."
Agatha sighs, a crushing feeling weighing down on her when she realizes just how miserable her life with that man was. How.. Unfulfilling.
You're told as a woman to marry a good man, be a good, submissive wife, make sure to make him happy. A few months ago Agatha came to the crashing realization that maybe what she wanted wasn't what she had been told to want her whole life.
Then she realized just how bad the sex actually was.
And she promptly filed for a divorce not long after. There wasn't much love lost on her end, the years had worn on her and she was ready for this a while ago. The only thing lost on her end was time. And she doesn't want to waste any more of it.
After confiding all of these heavy feelings to her dear friend Wanda, this was the idea she came up with to help. A popular bar in Westview.
"Okay, so.. It's your first night of freedom, of being able to decide exactly what you want for yourself and from sex. What's the first thing that pops into your head?"
Wanda smiles at her, resting her elbow on the table in front of her and plopping her head into the palm of her hand. Agatha pauses for a moment in thought.
What does she want?
Her bright blue eyes scan over the crowd of people in the dimly lit bar, hoping for the realization to smack her in the face.
"Honestly? A young, pretty girl that can help me learn a thing or two about myself.."
Agatha says plainly, and Wanda hums out in thought, eyes scanning over the crowd.
"Oh! What about her?"
Wanda points across the room, and Agatha's eyes catch on you. Her eyes widen as she takes you in. You're standing with your friends, pretty smile on your face, a tight dress hugging the curves of your body. She's eagerly drinking you in, eyes dragging over every little detail on your figure.
"You think she's cute."
Wanda giggles, and Agatha can tell that her friend is a bit tipsy.
"Oh she's more than cute."
Agatha admits, and Wanda's pushing herself out of her seat. The older woman looks up at her curiously.
"What are you doing?"
Wanda winks.
"Helping you get some fun."
"No, Wanda, not like this-"
All hope is lost. Wanda is already walking across the room towards you, navigating through the thin sea of people to reach you over at the bar. Agatha fights the urge to slump down in her seat and hide from embarrassment. If Wanda's going to be going about it like this, though, she might as well commit to the bit.
So, she pets her hair into place and straightens her posture as Wanda approaches you. She watches in horror as the two of you seem to quickly strike up a friendly conversation.
When Wanda gestures back towards where she's sitting and sipping on her drink and your eyes flicker over and land on her, Agatha's brain short circuits. You smile brightly and wave shyly over at her, and she thinks it's the cutest thing she's ever seen. Agatha leans forward and waves back.
Your friends are playfully pushing you towards the table, your features flushed red as you begin making your way towards her. When you reach the table, Agatha quirks a curious brow at you.
"Agatha, I'm guessing?"
You ask with a sheepish smile. The older woman nods her head.
"That's me, I assume my drunk friend said some very embarrassing things about me that somehow charmed you into coming over here?"
You laugh softly at her words, tucking a stray strand of hair behind your ear. Agatha feels her throat go dry, and she's raising her glass to her lips.
"Oh, yes, definitely. But I was more charmed when I looked over here at you."
Agatha grins up at you, butterflies making a fuss in her stomach.
"Do you want to sit with me?"
Eagerly you nod your head, and Agatha scoots over, wanting you to sit close to her. She gestures at the space she just made, hoping you'll slide in right next to her. And you do.
You tell her your name, what college you go to and what you're studying. You make fun, light small talk for a bit, enjoying getting to know each other. You share all of the embarassing things Wanda shared about her with a cute giggle, and Agatha can't even be mad because it got you to come over and sit with her.
Agatha insists on buying you a drink, and you're being so polite and insisting it's okay, you don't want her spending money on expensive cocktails for some girl she's only known for a few minutes. You keep trying to pull out your wallet when she quirks a brow at your politeness.
"Sweetheart, you're a college student. I'm assuming you don't have a ton of money lying around. Now, I do, so be a good girl and let me treat the sweet, cute little thing I'm growing rather fond of to something nice, hm?"
You freeze at her words, eyes wide, and Agatha's worried she screwed up with her forwardness. But a bright smile crosses your features, cheeks flushing as you fold your hands in your lap and nod your head.
"Y-yeah, I mean, if you insist.. Thank you very much."
You stumble through your words, and she notices how you cross your legs. Agatha feels something swirling in her chest, a bit of an ache growing between her legs at your shy compliance. A smile grows on her lips as she orders your favorite cocktail for you.
Agatha decides to be a little more bold.
"Oh, anything for you, honey.."
She coos, breath hot against your neck as she leans in and tucks a stray strand of hair behind your ear. A smirk grows on her lips at the way you squirm, her eyes glancing down towards your chest as you heave in a deep breath.
"Is there anything else you'd like me to do for you, hm?"
Agatha asks sweetly, one of her hands landing on your exposed thigh, squeezing the soft skin gently, giving you a chance to tell her to back off if you wanted to. She watches you hopefully.
You laugh shyly, nervously meeting her gaze. You part your lips to speak when the waiter sets your drink down in front of you, severing the tension like a knife. Agatha goes to pull her hand away, disappointment weighing heavy in her gut when your hand darts out to grab hers.
"W-wait.."
You mumble and Agatha's grinning excitedly.
"I mean.. You're just- like, really hot.. It's flustering me a bit.."
Your face is flushed deep red, your gaze avoiding hers.
"So you're okay with this?"
She asks, and you nod your head. She tsk's at you, raising a hand and hooking her finger under your chin as she guides you to look at her.
"Use your words, baby."
Your pupils blow wide at her words, gaze heavy with lust as your eyes flicker down to her lips.
"Yes. Yeah, I'm really okay with this.."
You mutter out softly and Agatha smiles.
"Good girl."
She melts at the way you gasp when her lips connect with yours. It's soft and sweet, and immediately you're returning her kiss, lips moving eagerly against one another. Agatha already feels addicted to your soft, sweet mouth.
You pull back first, and she's disappointed.
"Do you want to leave?"
The disappointment is quickly replaced with excitement.
"I'd love to. Would you be alright going to my place?"
You nod your head and quickly the two of you are out of there, abandoning your untouched drink on the table. Agatha is holding your hand, guiding you through and out the back of the building as you go to the back parking lot.
It's dark out, the cool night air chilling you skin as you wind between the parked cars, the lights of Agatha's car flickering as she unlocks it.
You tug softly on her hand and she turns to look at you.
"Please, kiss me again.."
You beg so sweetly for her, she's giving you what you want before she even realizes it. Agatha grabs you by the hips, fingers biting softly into your plush skin as she presses you against the side of the car. You gasp at the force, moaning softly as she presses her lips firmly into yours.
She's eager to tear more desperate words out of your mouth. It's the only thing on her mind as she nips at your bottom lip, you snaking your arms up and around her neck to pull her closer into you.
You're letting out little muffled noises into her mouth and she's in heaven, dropping her head to pepper lingering wet kisses against the column of your throat. You let out a sharp sigh.
"Fuck, you're so hot.."
Agatha groans against your skin and you let out a pathetic whimper. She raises her knee between your legs, pressing up and against your center. A moan tears out of your throat as your hands scramble to dig into her back, and Agatha feels dizzy at the look on your face. Your pretty plush lips parted so sweetly, bright eyes lidded over with desire just for her.
Oh, Agatha very quickly figured out what she wants.
She wants you, whimpering and begging and falling apart for her.
You can't control yourself as you start to softly grind against her thigh, rocking your hips back and forth as your teeth dig into your bottom lip. Agatha laughs softly as she leans down to pepper more kisses across your neck.
"Oh? Did I really work you up in the bar?"
She asks, a taunting edge to her voice. You nod your head.
"Use your words, pretty girl.."
Agatha coos, chest swelling at how eager you are to obey her.
"Fuck, yes.. I don't want to wait.."
You whimper out pathetically as you squirm against her thigh, moonlight highlighting your desperate features so beautifully for Agatha. She smirks down at you, raising a hand to cup your cheek.
Her thumb traces over your bottom lip, softly tugging it down and pressing on it before she releases it. Agatha wants to bite your bottom lip, dig her teeth in and have you gasping in pain and pleasure into her mouth so she can swallow every sweet noise you make and have it be part of her forever.
When she raises the digit once again you eagerly part your lips for her. Her smile widens as she traces the outline of your lips with her thumb before pushing it past your lips and into your mouth.
Agatha lets out a hard, controlled breath at the feeling of your hot, wet mouth wrapped around her thumb. Sucking her, pulling her in as your cheeks cave in but you hold her gaze. She leans further into you, grinding her thigh up into your wet cunt. You whimper around her thumb.
Agatha drags the digit out of your mouth, smearing your spit across your bottom lip.
"What do you want?"
She asks lowly, and you moan.
"Fuck, please, please just fuck me in your car. I don't wanna wait."
The teasing has reached its breaking point, you throw your head back and it softly thumps against the car. Agatha grins down at you, cooing softly as she affectionately runs her fingers over your cheek.
"Of course, sweet pea.."
Dropping her leg from between your thighs, the two of you take a step back so she can open the back door. Agatha gestures you in first, and you crawl over the smooth leather seats to the other side in order to make room for her.
She's following close behind, the car swaying a bit with how forcefully she slams the door shut. With a soft click, Agatha ensures the doors are locked and the two of you are secure inside.
You're laying back on the seats, propped up on your elbows as Agatha climbs over you, hungrily drinking you in.
"Fuck, what do you want me to do for you?"
Agatha breathes the words against your neck, her hands desperately roaming over your body, feeling electric with her need to touch you.
"I want you to do whatever you want to me.. Please.."
You beg and her brain short circuits. She can do whatever she wants to you? Her mind starts flying through the endless possibilities, eyes flickering over your body in hungry passes as she tries to make up her mind.
"First, lets take this off.."
Agatha tugs on your dress and you're eager to comply, she helps you pull down the zipper and your lift your hips up off the seat as the two of you get it over your head, leaving you in your underwear before her, laying on the cold leather seats.
She kneels between your spread legs, ghosting her hands over your soft thighs as she admires you spread out before her, your perfect, beautiful body lay ready for her to use however she pleases.
Agatha licks her lips before she leans down, leaving kisses all up your neck before moving down to your collarbone, littering it with more kisses that have you rubbing your thighs together before she moves downwards.
She eyes your breasts hungrily. Pushing the bra straps from your shoulders, she pulls the cups down and frees your chest, an excited sigh dropping past her lips as she dives in for them.
You immediately begin to whimper and squirm under her treatment, one hand eagerly pawing at your right breast while she runs her tongue all over your left, desperate to taste every inch of your skin.
Eventually she moves to your nipple, taking it into her mouth and eagerly sucking. You arch your back, a sharp gasp escaping your lips at the action. With a soft pop she releases the bud, running the tip of her tongue along it in apologetic passes.
She spends so long worshipping your breasts that your voice grows hoarse, eventually you're pawing and clawing at her desperately.
"Hm?"
Agatha asks, licking her lips as she raises her head from your chest, brown curls wild with how they're falling in disarray from her bun. You're shaking, whimpering pathetically.
"Please, please.. Touch me, Agatha..."
You hadn't noticed the tears that had welled in your eyes and she coos softly down at you, running her fingers along your cheek.
"I'm so sorry sweet girl.. I promise I'll take good care of you.."
She whispers the words apologetically against your cheek, leaving soft kisses on your skin. You nod your head before she continues downward, licking a stripe down your sternum before planting kisses on the soft skin of your tummy, dragging her lips over each of your hips as she hungrily kneads at your thighs.
The woman is crawling back on the seats, lowering herself so that she's between your thighs, licking her lips hungrily as she pulls your underwear to the side. You can't help but feel a bit flushed and embarrassed under her intense gaze, all while loving every second her adoring blue eyes are focused on you.
Immediately when her mouth latches onto your center, your eyes roll into the back of your head, your hands scrambling for purchase on the door behind you as you let out a loud, desperate moan.
"Shit.. Feels so good.."
You whimper, her mouth hot between your legs, messily running her tongue between your wet folds as she groans into you. It already feels so intense, and you know you won't last long as she begins to sloppily assault your clit.
The woman quickly figured out the question she had at the beginning of the night. This is exactly what she wants. A pretty little thing like you, so eager and pliant and willing to take whatever she gives.
It makes her shift, clenching her thighs at just how fucking turned on she is seeing you fall apart beneath her, for her. Every little moan, every word, every tremble and gasp and every bit of sweetness that spills between your thighs is all just for her in this moment, and she's hooked. She can't get enough
Agatha moves her hands to paw at the plush of your thighs, an ache growing between her legs she's never experienced before as she watches you whimper and moan out desperately for her.
Your features scrunch up, mouth hung open in pleasure as she alternates between sloppily sucking and running the flat of her tongue along the little bud.
She grins against you as she feels your thighs begin to tremble against the sides of her head, desperate, breathy noises spilling past your pretty lips as you scramble for purchase, your back arching with every jolt of pleasure that shoots through you.
She groans into you, thinking that she would be happy to suffocate between your soft thighs. As she digs her fingers into your hips and pulls you against her eager mouth, a gasp escaping your lips as the sound of your soft curses reach her ears.
The older woman leans back, and you nearly die at the sight of her pushing her wild brown hair out of her face with the back of her hand as she licks you off of her lips, humming at the taste.
She leans forward, pressing her cheek against your knee as she looks down at you with adoring blue eyes.
"Fuck, you're so pretty, baby.."
Agatha coos down at you, soft smile on her lips as she raises her fingers up to the wet mess between your thighs. You let out a desperate, wanton noise, scrambling to grab at her forearm as she drags her fingers through your folds, taking her sweet time to feel you and toy with you. Her eyes flicker over your glistening center to your pretty face, distorted with pleasure as you thrash against the seats.
"Are you doing okay, sweet girl?"
She asks mockingly, loving the feeling of your nails biting into her forearm. You twist beneath her, writhing in pleasure as you press the side of your face against the leather seat, hair spread in disarray like a halo around your head.
"Yes! Yes, please don't stop.. So good, Mommy.."
You sound so pathetic as the words escape your lips in a broken wheeze, and something snaps in Agatha when you call her that. She thought she couldn't get any more worked up and desperately horny then she already is but fuck, you keep surprising her.
"Call me that again.."
She demands, high on her power over you as she drags her soaked fingers back, carefully easing them into you. You groan out at the stretch, at the intrusion of her long, slender fingers easing you open and sliding deep inside of you.
"Mommy.. Please fuck me.. You're so good to me, Mommy, I need more.."
You didn't even hesitate to obey her, turning to look up at her with your wide, pretty eyes drunk on pleasure.
Your desperate, broken voice has her responding automatically to your pleas for her, carefully curling her long, slender finger as she fucks her hand into your sopping pussy. You're so wet and messy, there's a soft squelching noise with every thrust.
Agatha loves it. You whimper, embarrassed.
"M' sorry.. A-ah.."
You try to apologize, finding yourself unable as you throw your head back in pleasure, so sensitive under her calculated movements. She's smirking down at you, leaning forward and over you with her fingers still buried in your wet cunt.
"Oh, you have nothing to be sorry for, angel.. You're absolutely perfect.."
She sighs against your neck, running her tongue along the column of your throat, enjoying the taste of your salty sweat on her tongue as she carefully slips a second finger into you. You let out a loud noise, hand flying to pull at the shirt on her back as she stretches you out, curling her fingers up to hit that sweet spot inside of you with every careful thrust.
"You got such a perfect pussy.. Mommy can't get enough.."
Agatha breathes the words hotly against your neck, her palm soaked with your arousal as she grinds it up against your clit, harshly rubbing against the little nub.
"O-oh! Shit! Fuck!"
You curse, the sensitivity getting to you. You curl your legs up and over her hips, pulling her down into you, as close as you can possibly get her and Agatha moans, her hand trapped inside of you between your two bodies as she grinds her palm against your sensitive clit.
She laughs breathily down at you before leaning down to pepper kisses up your jaw and across your pretty face.
"C'mon baby.. Be a good girl and cum for Mommy.."
The way she speaks those words so hotly against your ear, her warm breath fanning over your skin and words dripping with want and arousal, it's what tips you over the edge.
You let out a loud, broken moan as you wrap your arms around her back, pulling her tightly against you.
You throw your head back as the words burst past your lips in a desperate shout, your mind barely coherent as everything around you goes static and you seize up around the older woman.
"Oh! Mommy, cumming!"
Agatha groans at the sight of you, how you squeeze and drip around her fingers that are buried all the way to the last knuckle inside of your pussy, the heaving of your chest and how your pretty features contort in pleasure, mind numb and lost under the onslaught of pleasure that she gave you.. That she's responsible for.
Pride swells in her chest as she guides you through it, whispering soft little praises into your skin as you tremble and slowly come down from your high. With a deep gasp for air your legs fall numbly from around her waist, and Agatha leans back slightly to look at you as she carefully pulls her hand from you.
You laugh breathily, heaving for air as a wide smile crosses your features. Agatha smiles down at you as you raise your hand, pushing your messy hair from your features.
"Holy shit.. You're- wow."
You breathe out, dropping your hand to look up at her. She purses her lips proudly.
"Mmm.. I could say the same thing about you."
The older woman winks down at you, hair messy and sticking out at odd angles. Her stunning blue eyes are pinned right on you, and you don't think you could ever get enough of her gaze lingering on you.
"I barely did anything!"
You laugh and Agatha shakes her head.
"You were perfect."
Your heart swells at her words, and Agatha raises her hand. You flush at how soaked her fingers are, your arousal dripping down her palm and to her wrist. She raises it to her mouth, holding your gaze as she licks you off of her hand, dragging her tongue from her wrist, up her palm and to the tip of her fingers. Your chest heaves at the sight.
"You taste absolutely amazing."
She smirks down at you, and you smile sheepishly, pushing yourself up onto your forearms.
"Well.. Is there anything I can do to say thank you, Mommy?"
You bat your eyelashes at her sweetly, and her gaze flickers to your soft mouth, her mind running so far ahead of her with everything she wants to do with you that she can't keep up.

Shadows and Light (Agatha Harkness x f!Reader)
Tumblr media
Synopsis: Agatha shouldn't want you. But she does. She wants you so much. If only she'd let herself have you.
Words: 5.2k
Warnings: Alcohol, self loathing, mentions of blood, angst, one bed trope, fuck you everyone lives
She couldn’t believed she’d allowed this to happen. It was inconceivable, even more so because she hadn’t noticed it happening. It had crept up on her.
You, with your wide eyes and easy smile, hair that shone, laughter that was like a bell ringing, you were everything she was not. Soft and sweet and nice. Kind. It would be disgusting if you hadn’t managed to charm her the way you charmed the rest of them.
Sitting back in her chair, nursing a glass of wine, she watched as you spun in the firelight. Dancing around the bonfire, bare feet kicking up leaves, you were a picture to watch. You were signing along, your voice clear and bright, melding with the other voices of the coven. You grasped both of Billy’s hands in yours, spinning with him in the flickering light.
The way he laughed was full of delight. You were grinning, tugging him closer as you sang, as free as she’d ever seen you. The weight had lifted and you were easier. Your head tipped back as you drank in the moonlight up above and she had to do her best not to reach out and sink her teeth into the long column of your neck. Your skirt twirled around your calves, flashes of skin in the firelight making her fingers clench.
You fell away from Billy, arms raising as you spun, such a pretty picture in the moonlight. Lilia’s arm curled around your waist, snatching you up in the dance and you went willingly. You were always so easy, so happy to give in to the whims of others, to fulfill their desires.
She wondered what would happen is she whispered her desires into your ear.
She could just imagine the look of disgust that would pass over your delicate features. The way you’d flinch back and begin to avoid her. The whispers she’d overhear about how there was something wrong with her. The confirmation she was everything anyone had ever called her.
She lent back, draining the last of her wine as she watched you, spinning and laughing and so free. So comfortable in your own body. So sure of yourself. Your head turned and even in the shadows, you found her. You smiled, so big and bright and beautiful and her heart squeezed in her chest like you’d reached through her ribcage and grasped it in your bare hand.
It was fucking pathetic.
“If you stare any harder you might set her on fire.”
She didn’t bother turning to look as Rio settled into the chair positioned beside hers. You’d been sitting in it earlier, rambling on about your plan for the garden you’d be planting this week. The cadence of your voice had been soothing after the day she’d had. There was something about it that always helped ground her back into the present, rather than plans spiralling out of control.
“I can understand your fascination,” Rio continued, “it’s not often we meet a witch so saccharine. And it’s genuine. When was the last time you met someone with no facade?”
“Everyone has facades,” she replied, automatic, uncaring if it was true or not.
“Not her.”
Rio tipped her beer towards you, drawing Agatha’s gaze back to you. Your hand was on Jen’s, twirling her, your arm curling around her waist as you did a clumsy waltz around the fire, out of time with the music and uncaring.
“If we teamed up I’m sure we could ruin her,” Rio said, voice a purr, “tear her apart, find out what makes her tick, make it so no one can put Humpty together again.”
“Stop it,” she said, not caring if her harsh voice gave away more than she usually would. There was no point pretending around Rio.
“We’d have so much fun playing with her,” she said, putting thoughts in Agatha’s mind of what she could do with you.
“Don’t,” she said, firmer, refusing to let her continue.
“Well, sweetheart, if you want to play with her, you might want to get a wriggle on or someone else will get there first.”
Rio dragged her gaze over to you significantly. Her head snapped up. Your fingers had wound with Jen’s, no longer dancing but swaying as you whispered together. Your face was so open and you were dazzling. It was incomprehensible that anyone could survive under that gaze without falling for you.
No wonder she’d had no chance.
The sharp jab of jealousy was familiar, tart and metallic in her mouth. She wanted to stop watching, didn’t want to see you fall under someone else’s spell, but feeling the inevitability of it. There was no possibility you were going to find joy in the darkness she knew she was made up of. But she couldn’t look away. She could never look away from you.
She sat with her churning gut, stewing in it. Normally, if this was someone else, she’d do something to lash out, to bring attention to back to herself, to remind everyone of her existence. Under your sunshine, she found herself shrinking back. It was infuriating and left her feeling as if she was on the back foot, unbalanced and unsure of herself. It was a new, if familiar, feeling and she hated it.
You fell into the grass beside Alice, head coming to rest on her shoulder. She passed you the bottle of beer she’d been drinking from, letting you sate your thirst. With your free hand you were pointing up at the stars, pointing something out in the night sky to her.
When Rio dropped down beside you, her jaw clenched.
She watched, a line drawn taut, as Rio’s fingers gently wound themselves through the ends of your hair. Your head rolled towards her, your smile stretching just a bit. With sure fingers, you gently tugged on the pocket of her jacket. Angling your body, you shifted to lean against Alice as your feet rested against Rio’s thigh.
Agatha felt like she was burning.
Lilia dropped down in your huddle and you automatically reached out, hand twining with hers. She watched the soft sigh that parted your lips, the way you relaxed, your eyes fluttering shut. She ached to be in the pile with you, to feel your muscles soften along the lines of her body, your weight sinking into her. She wanted to drag you away, to keep you all to herself, but even in the haze of her own anger she knew you wouldn’t appreciate it. That you liked being one part of a bigger whole. That you thrived with a coven. That you needed something she hadn’t let herself want for a very long time.
She squeezed her eyes closed, tipping her head upwards, taking a long slow breath in.
She didn’t open them again someone dropped into the seat beside her. Squinting them open, she’d expected Rio back. Instead, your soft smile greeted her, knees pulled up, chin resting on them as you tilted towards her.
“Tonight’s been good,” you sweet voice said, “have you enjoyed yourself, Aggie?”
“Aggie?” She raised an eyebrow.
“Do you not like it?” Your eyes widened and she saw the worry swimming in them, “sorry, I don’t have to-“
“It’s fine,” she interrupted, waving her hand. On your lips, the nickname was spun sugar, her heart beating double time.
“Have you though?” you asked, “enjoyed yourself?”
You reached out, your finger gently curling around a strand of her hair. Your lips parted and you looked at her from under lowered lashes, such hope in your face.
“You sure know how to throw a party,” she said, the way you were looking at her making up for the churning in her stomach.
The pleased tilt to your chin and the brightening of your eyes had her feeling like a live wire. You lent closer, the arm of the chair digging into your body as if you wanted to be close the distance between the two of you. She wondered if the arms weren’t present if you’d climb into her lap. She liked the thought of it.
“Are you going to stay tonight? Only it’s late and if you don’t want to drive you can. Lilia and Jen have already said they will and Billy…” You glanced back towards your house, “he passed out on the couch about an hour ago. I texted Eddie to let him know.”
“Not Rio or Alice?” she asked, the corner of her lips pulling up.
“Alice drove Shannon home and Rio did that thing where she just kind of disappears. If you don’t want to stay that’s okay but there’s space for you,” you said, fingers weaving together like you were anxious, like her answer mattered to you.
She reached out, placing her hand over yours, stopping you from twisting them to the point of breaking.
“I’ll stay,” she said.
You lit up like a goddess damned Christmas tree. Her heart stuttered, stumbling over itself and she cursed the day she’d met you. This was getting ridiculous. She wasn’t some mooney eyed teenager with a crush. She was Agatha Harkness; Witch Killer. You were nothing. No one.
It was amazing how she’d grown so used to lying to herself.
“Okay, but I only have one guest room. So we’re all going to have to share with someone. Do you have a preference?” you asked, rushing over the words.
She definitely had a preference.
“Will any of you be comfortable enough to be so vulnerable around me?” she asked.
“If you kill me in my sleep I’ll haunt you,” you said, “and I can be very annoying. You’ll never get a moment of peace again.”
She would happily spend eternity haunted by you. She had to get a grip. This was just unseemly.
“Then I suppose you know my preference,” she said.
She watched you stand up, bare toes digging into the grass. You held a hand out to her. She stared blankly.
“You take it,” you said, sounding amused.
She took it.
Bare skin brushing together, sending electricity running over her body from her palm. Staring for a moment, she couldn’t quite comprehend the way it looked, your fingers and hers knotted together. You tugged her out of her seat, breaking the moment of confusion from her brain. She was ready for you to pull away, but all you did was lead her back towards the house, hands swinging through the air. Why did it feel like the world had shrunk to that tiny point of contact?
“Are you guys good to share?” you asked as you entered the kitchen.
“We have to share a bed?” Jen asked.
You let go of Agatha’s hand and she had to bite back the disappointment. Your own arm slid around Jen’s waist, leaning into her as you blinked up at her. Lilia was staring at her, an assessing look on her face. Agatha looked back, not sure what she was seeing.
“There’s only two bed so unless you want to sleep on the floor, it’s you and Lilia, and me and Agatha,” you said.
“Good luck with that,” Jen said.
“You know, one day, and I’m not saying it’ll be today, but one day you’re going to have to admit you actually like her,” you said, “we’re a coven, a sisterhood. We belong together and to one another. Even Agatha.”
You looked over to her and she felt frozen in place. She wasn’t used to people talking about her that way. Like she was one of the team.
“Yes, well, if the feeling portion of the night is done, I wouldn’t mind retiring for the night,” she said, placing her empty wine glass down on the counter, trying to move past the rough squeezing in her chest.
“Course,” you said, “c’mon.”
You practically skipped out of the room. Billy was on the couch in your living room, his soft snores surprisingly endearing. Someone had laid a blanket over him. She could guess who. She hated that it made her feel something squishy in her chest.
“Locked the door,” Lilia said, pausing on the stairs.
“Yeah, it’s locked,” you said over your shoulder to her, “don’t worry.”
Lilia shook her head, seemingly coming back to the moment.
At the top of the stairs, you pointed to the door of the guest bedroom and the bathroom. And then the door to your bedroom was closing and she was locked in with you. You didn’t even stop to consider her, moving around the room like nothing was out of the ordinary.
“I’m gonna go brush my teeth,” you said, “I have stuff if you don’t want to sleep in your clothes.”
She took the offered clothes, your hand brushing over hers. The door to the ensuite closed and she let out a long breath. She forced herself to get a grip over herself. Dragging the clothes over her body, she looked at herself in the mirror. It would do for sleep, but she hardly wanted anyone seeing her like this. They were soft and your perfume clung to the material and it was like being wrapped in your arms. No one should be able to see the expression on her face.
“Don’t worry, you look great. Just like always.”
She startled, not having heard you exit the bathroom. In your tank top and shorts, she was having difficulty looking at you straight on. If she did, she knew it would only end in trouble. Self control wasn’t one of her strong suits. Especially around you.
“If you’re not comfortable in them, I guess I can find something else for you to wear, but I’m not sure I really have anything that’s more to your taste,” you said, your worry palpable.
“It’s fine,” she said.
“Okay.”
You paused in front of her, fingers brushing over the back of her hands, featherlight and so soft. Her shoulders relaxed and she looked down at you properly. You were so small, so delicate, a harsh wind would snap you in half. In her hands, you’d have no chance.
Pushing up onto your toes, your fingers brushed over her throat and she had to physically stop herself from shivering. You dropped back down, smiling up at her like she’d made all your dreams come true.
“Left or right side?” you asked.
In the dark, it was so much worse. You seemed to have no issue curling up beside her. Your hand had reached blindly through the dark, fingers tangling with hers, a soft sigh on your lips when you found her. Your face was turned towards her, eyes closed, eyelashes resting on your cheeks. She found herself staring, not able to stop herself, tracing your features with her eyes, yearning to reach out and touch.
She couldn’t trust herself around you.
Muscles clenched, she tried to stay vigilant through the night, refusing to let herself relax. The moment she did, she was certain she would do something to you, something beyond her control, something to ruin you. Only, after some time, once she was certain you were asleep, you rolled over, face pressing into her shoulder, curling into her body. It was what she’d been hoping for, and yet it set off all kinds of fight or flight responses in her body.
She turned her head away from you, closing her eyes, doing her best not to feel the warmth of you against her, the ghost of your breath on her skin, your hand in hers. You pressed closer, seeking out her warmth. It all ached so much.
She tore her hand from yours, rolling over, refusing to give in. She knew she couldn’t listen to that voice inside of her, the one telling her to take what she wanted. Every time she did, someone got hurt and she wasn’t going to let it hurt you.
Your arm curled around her waist, bringing your body closer, aligning yourself with her. She froze. Mumbling something, your lips brushed the skin of her neck, tightening your arm around her. You threw your leg over her, keeping her in your embrace, refusing to let her go even as she tried to wriggle away.
“Sleep, Aggie,” you mumbled, “it’s bedtime.”
She stilled again. You let out a contented hum, burying your face against her. You softened again, muscles relaxing. She squeezed her eyes shut, winding her fingers through yours, holding them to her stomach. Maybe letting herself have this for one night wouldn’t be so bad. She could stop again in the morning and everything would be okay.
One night. She’d give herself one night. And then she’d let you go.
Cracking her eyes open in the morning light, she groaned. She buried her face in the soft hair in front of her, breathing in the floral perfume that she knew clung to your skin. You pushed back against her, melting into the mattress. Her fingers brushed over the soft skin of your stomach. The little noise you made was addictive enough that she did it again.
“Aggie,” you sighed, soft and sweet and delicious.
First thing in the morning, your voice was deeper, lower, a little raspy. She wanted to luxuriate in it, make you speak soliloquies just to hear it. Her arms tightened around you, practically crushing you to her.
“Agatha,” you murmured, almost a moan. She liked that.
If her fingers slipped down, found the heat between your legs, she would be able to hear you moan properly. If she tasted you, she could get you to moan so loudly it would be burned into her brain. If she fucked you deeply into the mattress she could make it so you never stopped moaning.
She couldn’t do any of that.
Dragging her arms from around you, she ignored the chill that went through her. She’d had her one night. She’d slept deeply and well, and now it was time to return to real life.
She lay back, considering getting up, slipping out of the bed and getting dressed and finding coffee. Your ceiling stared back at her, mocking her as she lay in indecision in your bed. The covers tugged and she was reminded of how close you still were, curled up in sleep, soft and vulnerable. Perfect for digging her nails in and shaping you how she wanted.
Only she wanted you exactly how you were. She wanted you soft and gentle and vulnerable. She wanted you with your open heart and wide eyes and trusting nature. She wanted every smile, every flutter of eyelashes, every giggle. She was greedy and she knew she hungered for something she would never have, a hunger she wasn’t sure she could ever satiate. She was every dark thought and every monster, and she would corrupt you, ruin you, rot you from the inside out.
And yet she wanted with such wild abandon she couldn’t stop.
She pushed up, sitting, ready to swing her legs out of the bed and retreat before she did something she regretted. Rio was right. All she brought was destruction and she couldn’t destroy you. It would destroy her.
Warm fingers curled around her wrist and she froze. You were blinking up at her, wide eyes still soft with sleep but the corners of your lips were pulled down. She was already ruining you.
“Where are you going?” you asked.
Your other hand rubbed at your eyes, wiping the sleep from them. Her heart gave an extra hard beat, almost slamming in her chest.
“Were you going to slip out without saying goodbye?” you asked when she didn’t answer, sounding lost and hurt and she hated herself in that moment more than she ever had before.
You were still lying back, hair spread over the pillow, looking perfect for her to ruin. Her lips could paint such pretty pictures on your skin. She could make those wide eyes glaze over as you moaned her name. You would be hers if she let herself have you.
“You were.” You pouted, “you were going to leave without saying goodbye.”
You sat up and she had to drag her gaze away from the way the neckline of your tank top dipped, showing swathes of skin she wanted to bury herself in. Turning her head away, she tried not to show the way she felt heat creeping up her cheeks.
Because she was looking away, she had no chance to avoid it when you swung one leg over her and deposited yourself in her lap.
“That’s not very nice, Aggie. I bet you weren’t even going to leave a note,” you said.
Your hands were on her shoulders, winding into her hair, tugging her closer and all she could think of was how nice the weight of you in her lap felt. Her fingers clenched in the sheets, keeping from touching you. She was worried if she started then she’d never stop.
You weren’t making this easy on her.
You were still liquid warmth from sleep, pressing closer, those wide eyes eating her alive. You were still pouting and you were so close and all she wanted to do was close the distance and claim you. To let your warmth consume her until she was on fire.
“That’s so mean,” you said, fingertips dragging over her cheekbones, brushing the pulse in her neck, pushing just under the neckline of the shirt she’d borrowed.
“I am mean,” she said, forcing the words past her lips.
“No you’re not.” You shook your head, hair flying around your face, “you pretend to be but you’re not really.”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said, not able to meet your eye.
Your fingers gripped her hair, right at the roots, fists clenching until it pulled. She looked up into your face, finding something fierce there. It looked wrong on your face and yet so very right.
“I do. I do know. You pretend you’re this big scary monster who snatches children in the night but you’re not. You’re busy protecting a gooey centre that could break so easily.” Your fingers tightened in her hair. She hissed from the pain, “you care, Agatha Harkness. You care so much sometimes I think it scares you.”
“I don’t-“
You cut her off before she could say more than that.
“I see you, Aggie. Every part of you. And you’re wonderful.”
Your lips pressed to hers, rough and insistent, not the gentle brush she’d always imagined. You pressed closer, knees digging into her as they held her in place, fingers in her hair tugging and pulling. She was a live wire, caught under you, a hurricane going through her because of you. You pressed closer, nipping at her lip.
When she kissed you back, you sighed, melting against her. How could she not kiss you back, when you made such a pleased noise in the back of your throat as she did? You were a force of nature and she was merely a speck, destined to bow to you in all your might. Her hands grasped your hips, keeping you there with her, feeling how warm your skin was through the thin cotton of your shorts.
She fell back, dragging you with her, your lips finding their home on her skin. Wet, open mouthed kisses down the column of her neck turned her head fuzzy. She could drown in you, in the tsunami of her feelings for you, in the downpour of desperation she felt. Your tongue tasted her skin and you moaned, almost too quiet to be heard, muffled in her skin.
Her fingers pushed up past your shirt, seeking out the warm skin. There was much of it, swathes of it, all of it unexplored by her touch. An explorer with the sweetest of expeditions before her. You pressed closer, shivering, nose skimming along her jaw.
“Aggie,” you whispered, practically a whimper, pressing down on her.
Her hands kept creeping higher, before she dragged her nails down again. Your teeth nipped at her skin and the surprised laugh that came from her jolted her out of the moment.
“Stop,” she said, ripping her hands from your body, “I can’t.”
“Can’t? Or won’t?”
You sat up and a frustrated look passed over your face. She stayed reclined on the pillows, every inch of her warring with her self control. Your hair was mussed, lips kiss stung, eyes bright. All she wanted was to ravage you, to paint her name behind your ribs and burn herself into your skin. You were a step away from being indecent.
“I see the way you look at me. I know how you feel about it me. It throbs through you,” you said, fingertips on her jaw, on her cheeks over her nose, “it’s a living heartbeat, your want for me.”
“Stop.”
Her fingers curled around your wrists, so delicate her hands became handcuffs easily. She dragged your hands from her, looking up, her chest caving in. You lent down, eyes seeking her out, refusing to let her wriggle out of this moment with her.
“I want you so much it’s like I’m being eaten alive,” you whispered, your hair brushing her skin, your eyes imploring, your lips sweets as they spilled saccharine secrets.
“I can’t,” she said again.
“Why not?” you asked and tears gathered in your eyes like jewels.
“I destroy everything I touch,” she said, her thumb brushing away a glittering tear before it could fall. Another fell in its place.
“No, Aggie,” you moaned, “you don’t destroy. You make. You made us. We were just a group of people and you made us into a coven.”
“I don’t know what it means to have a coven,” she said, looking away.
“You do.” Your forehead pressed against hers, eyes squeezed closed, breath hitching, “you yearn for one so fiercely it burns.”
“Stop doing that,” she said.
The hands still curled around your wrists shoved you away. You fell back, a mess of hair and tears and bare skin and she’d never wanted to tear you apart but you had cracked open her chest and all she could think about was getting her claws deep into your flesh until she was part of you. She refused to see she already was.
“Stop reading me,” she snapped.
“You shout.” You sniffled, “you’re so loud around me I can’t help it.”
She turned away, passing her hand over her face, surprised when it came away wet. She didn’t stop you as you curled your arms around her waist, face buried between her shoulder blades.
“Please, Aggie. Don’t deny yourself this. I’m yours, willingly and completely. You could never destroy me. You’d never let yourself,” you said, muffled in her shirt. She could feel your lips move with every word.
“You don’t know what I’ve done,” she said.
“I don’t need to. I only need to know what you will do. And I trust you,” you whispered.
She turned, dislodging you. Your fingers twisted in your lap and she wanted to rip them from your body and she wanted to suck on them and she wanted to feel them run all over her body. You blinked and your lips parted and you were the picture of innocence. How could she mar you? How could she let herself ruin your perfection?
“You shouldn’t,” she said.
“You won’t break me by holding on too tight. I want you to hold on tight. Even if it hurts. Especially if it hurts. You don’t understand what it’s like. How I crave you,” you said, “sometimes I think I can only breathe when you’re around. That I’m holding my breath until I see you again.”
“You can’t mean that,” she said, her heart eviscerated at your words.
“I do.” Your hands clutched hers, “I do.”
You were looking at her, such wide eyes, swimming with emotion and she remembered the way you kissed her. Not soft and gentle and safe, but like you would die if you stopped. The desperation was all yours. You held on and refused to let go. Your teeth sunk in. You fought dirty for what you wanted.
“Please, Aggie,” you whispered, fingertips on her cheek again, catching her tears, gaze slipped down to her lips, “let me have you.”
Who needed self control?
She launched herself at you, sending you sprawling over the mattress. The kiss was bruising, demanding, taking ruthlessly. She was thrown on her back, you climbing on top again, fingernails dragging over her skin. Your knees dug in, poking into her soft vulnerable places. You didn’t give her time to breathe, suffocating her with your kisses. But what a delicious way to go.
“Oi.”
A fist slammed into the bedroom door. You startled, sitting up, looking beautifully mussed. She dragged her nails up your thighs and she felt you quiver.
“Are you still alive in there?” Jen called through the door.
“Yeah,” you called, breathless and squirming above her.
“Good.”
The door was pushed open, two nosey witched peering in. Your fingers wrapped themselves in Agatha’s hair, mouth falling open before it snapped shut.
“We, uh…” You turned your eyes down to her. She ran her fingers over the skin of your thigh. Your eyelashes fluttered.
“Oh god,” Jen said.
“You should have-“ Lilia said before cutting off without finishing the sentence.
“Locked the door,” you murmured, eyes squeezing shut.
Your teeth sunk into your lower lip. She yearned to do that herself, to feel the thin skin split, your blood coating her tongue. But then your shoulders were shaking and she realised you were trying not to laugh. You tipped, falling off her, burying your face in the pillow to stifle it as best you could. She glowed, the sound of your giggles pure sunshine running through her veins. She reached a hand out, stroking over your hair.
“No wonder you wanted to share beds,” Jen said, “you were having fun while I spent the night being kicked by Lilia.”
“Next time I’ll take Lilia and you can have Agatha,” you said, emerging, bright and joyful, the tears gone. No, now you were practically shining.
“I’m good,” she replied.
You climbed out of the bed and Agatha had to clench her fingers to keep from reaching out and pulling you back into her embrace. You extended a hand to her, lacing your fingers with her and pulling her with more strength than she’d thought you had.
“Breakfast,” you said, “I’m gonna cook you guys so many pancakes.”
Passing Lilia, Agatha in tow, you brushed your fingers over the back of her hand. You tapped Jen on the nose as you passed and you beamed. Agatha found her own lips curling up in a smile, heart thudding in her chest, the monster in her chest purring.
“My coven,” you said, voice pure happiness, “how I love you.”
Maybe the truth was there were no shadows without light. And maybe you were fierce enough to keep her from destroying you. Maybe you, with your wide eyes and easy smile and soft touches, would destroy her. And maybe she was okay with that.

absolutely obsessed with the implications of the different versions of the ballad now we have the full picture. it really is a masterclass in songwriting.
we start with nicky's version. the road is a metaphor for death, but it's about acceptance ("tame your fears, a door appears, the time has come to go"). it resolves musically, we end on the note we began on. it's in a major key, it sounds happy. it's a fun little tune.
agatha takes this and twists it in the version that plays over the montage of her killing covens. some of the chords are the same (A and D in the chorus) but they're minor versions now. it sounds dark and sad. agatha is grieving. when the other witches join in the harmonies are sinister, adding notes from the minor key. this becomes canonised in the sacred chant version: for 260 years agatha has been stuck grieving nicky.
enter lorna wu. her version is in a different key (p sure it's E flat major at the start). there are still some minor chords but the overall effect isn't the same, it's a major key. partly this is a trick of the instruments and the rock/pop vibe but we know there's a still a mother's grief about not being able to save her child (and herself?) in there, but she's more positive about this than agatha was: she accepts her own death, and she will protect alice if she can, but ultimately the road is still a metaphor about death and everyone walks it, but this time lorna changes the lyrics (the door doesn't appear to death in this version, it appears "to love that never dies" the people we love stay with us after death). and then the bridge. now a bridge musically takes us somewhere new, quite often it signals a key change, a turning point in the lyrics, something shifting. here I think the function is to show us that lorna is not accepting of agatha's static version of the ballad that has stayed the same (unable to move past her grief). the key modulates to a minor one (I think it's A minor), it's sad as lorna tells alice that though lorna will die, she'll always be with her: "if I can't reach you... if I can't hold you, remember what I told you". I think it's significant the last chorus is "we" go down, down, down the road. everyone walks the road to death. it's part of life. agatha can't accept this, but lorna does. she'll see alice at the end.

Wake up call
Agathario x reader
Another scene I'm deeply in love with is Agatha and Rio's fight happening in the first episode. So, here it is what would happen with r joining it.
pt. 2
Tumblr media
Rio leaned closer to Agatha with a lopsided grin, “I’ve missed you,” she purred, tracing her former lover’s jawline with the curved blade in her hand.
Agatha’s chest rose and fell, an expression of pure hatred flashed upon her blue eyes, mingled with a hint of something else, mabe fear. “I hate you.”
Rio lolled her head back and laughed bitterly, “course, you do.”
The day you and Agatha vowed to never see her face anymore, her heart shattered until nothing was left of it. But she was Lady Death, meaning that no matter what you wanted, someday your paths would cross again and that’s what kept her going.
You had just parked in the driveway, when an explosion coming from inside the house alerted you. On your way back from the grocery store, your memories came back one by one, and you almost hit a pedestrian or two at the realization that you and Agatha had been trapped under a spell for about three years. And now that you were ‘awake’, you were pretty sure she was too. You quickly got out of the car and stepped inside, silently praying that Agatha was okay.
Last person you thought you’d see was Rio.
“Drop the dagger now,” your voice came out sharp and dangerous.
Both witches snapped their heads towards you. Your eyes locked with Agatha’s first. She breathed a sigh of relief at your sight, her blue orbs filled with all sorts of thoughts.
“Hello, mi nena,” Rio quipped, tone softening at the sight of you. “Glad you’re awake too. Agatha and I were just.. catching up, right?”
You took a step closer, keeping your eyes on Rio. “I see– rude of you to start without me,” there was a hint of sarcasm in your voice, that both witches grasped. “Now, don’t make me repeat myself, you know I hate it.”
“Uhm, I don’t know.” Instead of listening to you, Rio pushed the blade deeper against Agatha. The witch struggled to keep the blade at distance, trembling while doing so.
Your hands turned into fists, a gust of wind rose up around you. Objects started levitating, the chandelier in the lounge room swayed and Agatha’s lips curled upwards, happy to realize your powers were still part of you.
The vibrancy of your magic brought back all sorts of memories of the time you three spent together. “Looks like our sweet girl over there is in control of her powers. How does it feel, Agatha?” Rio asked in a mocking tone. “Don’t you resent her like you resent me?”
The purple witch was quick to shake her head, scoffing to herself at the same time.
“You have no idea what you’re talking about.”
When she looked at you, she saw one of the most incredible witches she ever had the pleasure to meet.
“You’re nothing like her.”
Rio let out a whiny sound, “why does she get special treatment and I don’t, huh?”
In the meantime, your irises turned the same color of your magic, a bright hue of silver and enveloped your entire body as well.
“She did everything she could, while you–” she winced when the tip of the dagger pressed further against her skin. “What, huh? What are you blaming me for? I’m the natural order of all the things baby, and you know it. You always knew it!”
When she pushed the blade further closer to her skin,  Agatha’s grip on Rio’s wrists loosened and the dagger scraped her. While Rio grinned at the sight of Agatha’s blood flowing so deliciously from her collarbone to her chestline, you levitated from the floor and your palms opened wide, exploding with your magic.
“You’re nothing!”
Rio let out a strangled yelp, as her body was thrown on the other side of the corridor. Agatha let out a sigh of relief, mouthing a fragile thank you in your direction as you rushed towards her. You didn’t say anything at first and simply hugged her, your heart thumping in your chest at incredible speed.
“Are you hurt?”
She shook her head, but you knew better. While that small cut wasn’t anything serious, you knew the pain in her heart was greater. You pressed your lips together, giving her a skeptical look. With a flick of your finger, you healed the wound on her skin,  and for some reason, it made Agatha feel even worse, but she didn’t say anything to you.
Rio pulled herself up, stretching both arms and legs, “Ahw, did she make it better?”
Agatha growled, fingers wiggling as if she could actually summon magic.
You immediately stood in front of her, “don’t come any closer,” you warned her.
The Green Witch hummed and her brows knitted in a frown, “where did I see this scene before?”
You swallowed thickly at the painful memories she was able to bring back with such ease. You had so many questions going on inside your head, the most important would probably be, why? Why the betrayal, why the lies, why the pain?
“Cut the crap, Rio,” Agatha snapped, worrying about your sudden discomfort, “what do you want?”
She fake pouted at her angry tone, “you used to be much nicer to me,” with the tip of the blade, she moved a strand of hair from her face. And when you scoffed, a dark shadow passed through her eyes, “I’m just missing the old days. I want you back– in a way or another, meaning that if I have to kill you both, I will,” she added the last part with a strange look in her eyes. Almost hysterical. You only had a couple of seconds to react. Rio’s dagger flew in your direction, missing you and Agatha by a nose, as you shoved her to the side, shielding her with your body.
Agatha grunted at the sound of Rio’s giggles, “I’m gonna kill her.”
You rolled your eyes in annoyance, “it’s not possible, unfortunately.”
Propping yourself up, you helped Agatha do the same.
While doing so, you spotted the dagger behind you. You pointed at it to Agatha with a nod of your head. She was closer to the weapon so she lunged forward to grab it. Rio ignored her and focused on you. She gave you little time to anticipate her move and with a yelp she sprung forward, fuelled by her magic. Before you knew it, her fingers tightened around your neck and squeezed.
Her head lolled to the side, and watched you with a mixture of nostalgia and admiration, “naughty, naughty–”
“Let her go!” Before Agatha could even make an attempt to stab Lady Death on the shoulder, Rio sent her flying in the lounge room, her back hitting a cabinet that after the impact, crashed on top of her.
Your eyes snapped open, as you squirmed but to no avail, “Agatha!”
“Do you remember pain, my love?”
“I never stopped feeling it since the day you betrayed us.”
You still resented her for the things she did. And you probably would for the rest of your life. Her face dimmed and her lips pursed into a grimace; the grip around your neck loosened, but she didn’t let go. Was that disappointment settling in her chest?
“You’re so clueless about the things I did for you.”
Tears pricked at your eyes, but despite them a choked chuckle slipped from your lips. She did nothing for you, nor for Agatha and even less for Nicky. She only took, betrayed your trust and hurt you in the most inexplicable way.
“All you did was make things worse.”
Rio snarled at your accusation,“you knew that messing with the Fates wasn’t without consequences!”
Your answer came out in a faint, yet determined whisper, “you were the one to send the Furies my way.”
In the meantime, Agatha straightened herself out, wincing at the pain in her arms, as shreds of glass cut through her skin. She scanned the surroundings  in search of something, anything that could be used against Rio. While her eyes landed on a wooden tray, Rio blasted you against the wall behind you with full demoniac force, her voice distorted as well, sounding deeper and animalistic, “I had no other choice!”
Agatha mentally screamed at the chunks of plaster coming down at you.
You whimpered, feeling Rio’s body towering over yours, “sorry, did it tickle too much?”
Despite the dizziness, you found the sassiness to roll your shoulders, “No.” With the corner of your eye, you spotted Agatha coming your way, holding something in her hands. Realizing what it was made you almost chuckle. “But I bet this will.”
Before Rio could ask you what you meant, the purple witch hit the back of her head with an angry growl and a deadly stare in the eye.
“Dark Mother, I’m so sick of her,” she muttered, glancing back at you.
You chuckled briefly, before erupting into a fit of coughs. Your throat felt on fire because of Rio. You were pretty sure it was bruising already for how much she squeezed. Agatha kneeled in front of you, her fingers hovering over your neck, but barely touching it, for fear of causing you extra pain,  “I’m sorry about–”
“Don’t. The ‘s’ word isn’t allowed,” you chided her softly. She nibbled the inside of her cheek, blinking back the tears from her eyes. She hated feeling powerless, even more now considering you could really use some of her purple as backup.
Noticing the veil of sadness in her eyes, you tried to cheer her up, giving her a playful nudge, “what you did was rather hot by the way.”
She snorted out a laugh, “are you turned on, love?”
A playful smirk tugged at your lips, “maybe.”
She pulled you closer, tugging at the fabric of your blouse. Her forehead adhered against yours and you closed your eyes for a moment, allowing yourself to inhale her sweet. Her hand ran from your collarbone up to your chin, her thumb gently grazed your bottom lip, pushing it down and making you smile. When you reopened your eyes, you took her hand in yours, and intertwined your fingers together in the attempt to brush aside all the worries you spotted in her eyes.
Rio let out a frustrated growl, “Good job, Agatha. I’m impressed. A little higher and that would have really hurt.”
On instinct, you tried to move Agatha behind you, but she resisted, making you frown.
“Ugh!” Rio swept her tongue over her lips, “the way she would throw herself in Hell for you really warms my heart.”
You said nothing because it was true. You would do the craziest things for her, just like you did for Nicky.
Agatha smacked her lips, almost laughing in her face. “Please, you don’t have a heart.”
Rio locked eyes with her, and for a moment you spotted a veil of hurt in her brown orbs. “Yes, I do,” she argued, before dropping her voice into a softer murmur, “it’s black and it beats for both of you.”
Agatha said nothing, while you couldn’t bring yourself to be quiet after that colossal lie, “you’re pathetic.”
Her gaze narrowed towards you; a flash of fury dimmed her features. “Madness turned you into a real brat. Perhaps you fancy another ride?”
You swallowed thickly and turned stiff. Those words stung painfully, there was no point in hiding it. You hated how easily she could bring back the memories of your trauma, making you feel as if you were reviving it all over again.
A single tear slipped from your eye, but you were quick to wipe it. Agatha’s hand found yours and squeezed; she felt your magic tickling her skin, it was mirroring your emotions and she knew it would burst soon.
“You’re a monster,” Agatha’s voice came out in hiss.
Then it happened. You let go of Agatha’s hand and tackled Rio on the floor. Her back hit the ground with force, and despite that, she laughed. You pinned her wrists above her head, digging your fingernails into her skin, wishing to hurt, to tear the skin apart, and make her feel even an ounce of the pain you endured because of her.
Agatha’s eyes widened both in shock and surprise at your outburst.
“My, my, aren’t you sexy when you’re mad?”
You smacked her across the face. Hard.
“Woah, okay girl–”, she conceded, calling a truce, “tell me what you want.”
“I want you to get the fuck out of my life.”
Rio lifted her chin up, a dark chuckle escaped her lips, “All roads lead to me, mi nena. Whether you like it or not, you’ll die. Why can’t we speed up the process?”
“You’re not allowed to kill us,” your voice dropped in an icy growl.
“I second that,” Agatha quipped.
Rio scoffed amusedly, “are you sure about that?” Before you could respond with another sassy remark, she headbutted you straight on the nose. You fell to the side, letting go of Rio’s wrists and allowing her to flee from your grasp. You groaned and cursed under your breath, when she kicked your side with the boot of her shoe. Agatha took you in her arms, as quickly as she could, then started crawling backwards with you firmly pressed against her chest, “you okay?”
“Fine,” you croaked out, in annoyance.
By the look on your bloody face, she realized you’d very well use a break.
But Rio seemed to have other ideas, the knife was back in her hand as she approached you.
“Wait, just wait a damn second–” Agatha held out a hand towards the Green Witch, while the other remained wrapped around your underarms.
Rio hummed and traced the tip of the blade with her fingertips.
“This isn’t what you want. Plus, I don’t have any powers so it’s not exactly a fair fight, is it?” She gave a nervous chuckle, hoping her words would buy you some time to recover. “Don’t you want us at our best?”
Rio grinned, with a devilish light in her eyes, “Horizontal, in  a grave?”
“Not exactly,” she muttered, “I mean, in full control of our powers. Just let me get my purple back, let her recover and if you really want to– come back and find us.”
Your breath hitched, it was hard to breathe properly with the blood clogging your nostrils. You summoned your magic, and despite being a tad weaker, you knew it could heal you if given proper time.
“Why don’t you take mine?” Rio’s suggestion made your stomach lurch.
“That’s cute,” Agatha mused. “But you know that would kill me.”
“Then what about hers?”
It didn’t seem like a terrible idea to you. But Agatha’s answer was categorical, “No.”
You looked up at her, noticing the hesitation in her features. Maybe fear too. Truth was, she didn’t trust herself to do such a thing, not to you. You knew she found immense pleasure in sucking away powers from witches, she knew it was wrong, and for years the only reason why she did that was to keep Nicky alive. That’s the reason why you helped her do it. As a mother you could back up from your responsibilities and as a witch, you learned the hard way that in order to survive you had to do all sorts of things.
There was something about your magic that scared Agatha. You were the only necromancer witch she ever crossed paths with, so she wasn’t sure she would be able to pull away from you, once she got a taste of your forbidden  magic.
Rio pursed her lips in a grimace, “you’re such a coward.”
“She isn’t,” you argued back.
When Rio finally put the dagger down, both you and Agatha frowned in confusion. “Show me, then. Blast her. Help her restore her purple.”
“We aren’t doing this, Rio,” Agatha insisted rather adamantly.
“I’d think about it before making a decision, my love,” Rio leaned closer, her voice soft and eerily calm. “You see, I'm not the only one that wishes you dead. I’d expect guests at sundown.”
You frowned at her words, “who do you mean?”
Rio’s eyes flashed with excitement. “The worst of them. The Salem Seven.”
For a moment both you and Agatha fell quiet. You felt Agatha turn still behind you, and your heart ached for her. You turned to face her, as the grip around your middle loosened.
“Hey, I’m here, Agatha,” your voice came out both firm and tender. “It’s going to be alright”
Rio laughed softly at that. She shoved your shoulder in a playful way, “I have a feeling we will meet again, very soon.”
She paused where once it stood the front door, “Hasta luego,” she waved her fingers before stepping out of the house.
You considered Rio’s words, and as much as you wished to find another solution, there wasn’t really another way to restore Agatha’s powers, especially not in such a short time.
“Maybe–”
“Don’t,” she cut you off, sharply.
You raised your hands defensively, “Fine, sorry. But I think we should at least think about it.”
When she didn’t respond, you decided to give her a moment. Pushing yourself up, your eyes darted to the mess around you. There were pieces of furniture pretty much everywhere, shreds of glass, plates and cutlery and even sections of ripped wallpaper, along with chunks of plasters, “this is not how I imagined to spend this Friday…” you hoped your little joke would put a smile on Agatha’s face, but she remained motionless.
Agatha started to regret having woken up from Wanda’s spell. Now not only was she awake, but she had no power, the Salem Seven and Rio wanted her dead, her house was falling to pieces, and on top of that, you were in potential danger because of her. The only reason why she survived the loss of Nicky was because of you. But if she lost you too…
She clenched her eyes and took a deep breath, refusing to dwell in such thoughts.
“Uhm, Agatha?” You were wrong to think nothing else could surprise you that day.
She made a hum sound, finally getting on her feet, face turned towards you.
“Why is there a gagged boy in our wardrobe?”

"Don't you feel, I don't know, guilty for doing what you're doing?"
Agatha raised a brow and pursed her lips at Wanda's question. The younger witch shifted uncomfortably under her gaze and adverted her eyes to the ground.
"Guilty for giving her a better life?"
"For brainwashing her, Agatha."
Agatha bit her tongue. She hated when people used the word brainwashing to describe her relationship with you.
"She's perfectly content here. Why does it matter?"
"Of course, it matters!" Wanda snapped, "Y/n doesn't get to make her own decisions anymore and she doesn't get to think for herself."
"What?" Your voice caused both women's heads to snap in your direction.
Agatha's face morphed into anger before relaxing. She spread her legs and patted her thigh, which you gladly took a seat on. Her arm wrapped around your waist and she pulled you into her.
Wanda muttered a quiet apology before standing and leaving Agatha's house.
"What did Wanda mean by that?" You questioned.
Agatha laughed, "She's just had too much to drink, dear. You know how ditzy she becomes."
You nodded, wanting to trust Agatha but you couldn't bring yourself to do so. A dreadful feeling coursed through your body, but you didn't know why.
-
You woke with a gasp.
You remembered everything.
You met Agatha in the bar bathroom. You were drunk and high out of your mind, but she scared you enough for you to be able to recall the memory. Even as you fought her, she took your virginity and promised that she would be back for you.
You went to the police about her but they had no files on anyone with her description. You almost believed that you imagined the entire thing.
That was until she kidnapped you.
She didn't immediately place you under her spell, but after your fourth escape, she did. And ever since then, you've been brainwashed into thinking that you have been married to Agatha for centuries.
You glanced at Agatha's sleeping form and felt like your heart was about to beat out of your chest. Whilst sleeping, she seemed sweet and harmless, but you knew she was a monster.
You carefully slipped out of bed and gathered a small bag of clothes. You needed to escape.
"Don't you fucking dare."
Magic wrapped around your body and threw you into the wall, knocking the air out of your lungs. You coughed and gasped for air as Agatha stalked towards you, purple energy dancing around her fingers.
"You're a sick fucking bastard." You spat.
The back of Agatha's hand collided with your cheek and you fought tears from pooling in your eyes. She scoffed like she was disgusted with you.
"You love it, don't lie."
"How the fuck can I love something if I can't even make my own decisions?" You screamed, not caring who heard you. "I'm not content or happy here. Wanda was right, you should feel-"
Your words got stuck in your throat as unbearable pain spread throughout your body. It felt like someone was piercing your body with thousands of knives whilst your body was set ablaze.
The pain continued until your vision started to speckle black and you were on the verge of passing out.
Agatha picked up your limb body from the floor and placed you on the bed. She hummed softly as she removed your clothing and kissed your bare skin.
You recognised the words she was humming and thrashed in her hold. Agatha was trying to put you back under her spell. Agatha tsked and her magic pinned your limbs down.
"Agatha, please." You cried, "Let me go."
Agatha ignored you and kissed your clit before wrapping her lips around it and sucking softly. The humming stopped, but magic encased her fingers, continuing the spell.
There was no point in fighting her, but that didn't stop you from squirming uncontrollably. You tried to kick her in the face and screamed in frustration when you couldn't move.
"You're fucking evil." You snarled, which pulled a chuckle from Agatha.
"You should meet my ex, sweetheart. I'd be considered kind compared to her."
"I'm surprised you even have an ex. You aren't loveable."
Agatha smiled but didn't say anything in response. It almost looked like you had hit a nerve.
A wave of comfort and peace washed over you. Your eyes fluttered closed and you sighed. You should just give into her. Life was difficult before her.
No, No. These aren't your thoughts. They're her thoughts being injected into your brain, right? Your life before her was great! You had thousands of dollars of student debt, you were barely able to afford your bills, and you were struggling with friendships.
No, that's not right. Your life was good, wasn't it? You used to live at your cottage and sell vegetables to local farmers. But your life was better once Agatha, an abandoned and hurt witch, showed up to your door and was seeking refuge.
Those pesky villagers were hunting her down with their pitch forks. They wanted to hang her and burn her body. Such wretched, horrible people. It was the 1800s for crying out loud! Surely, people would start to realise witches' aren't that bad.
Agatha is the love of your life. She is everything you will ever need and you are destined to be with her forever.
Wait, what were you just thinking about? Was it about what you were making for dinner? You think so.
"My love?"
Your heart fluttered at Agatha's voice and you smiled. You cupped her face and kissed her softly.
"I think I might be coming down with a cold, Aggie." You rested your forehead against hers. "My body is aching and I feel so confused."
Agatha hummed, "How about we take a warm bath together?"
You gladly took Agatha's hand as she helped you to your feet. There was no questioning to why you were nude as that happened time to time; it just made it quicker to bathe.
"I'd love that."

An Injury on the Road
Request: Agatha x Reader
Tumblr media
Everyone waited in the silence following their song for something to happen. You sighed, not knowing why you came in the first place. Or, rather, you tried to convince yourself that the reason was anything other than your former flame.
The two of you had been intertwined your entire lives. You grew up in the same village. You were hated by her mother and rejected from joining a coven at all. Because of this, you bonded with the equally ostracized Agatha.
Your friendship progressed into something more. You moved on from childish games to sharing longing gazes and afternoons of lounging in fields of wildflowers with her. Every time you were close to becoming closer, even just leaning in for a first kiss, her mother was magically there, tearing a heartbroken Agatha away. You actually began to wonder if that woman set some sort of hex or spell on her to alert her if Agatha began to feel a little too happy. Or maybe just to prevent the two of you from being together. Then, that horrible night happened.
Agatha had told you that she had stolen a few spellbooks to finally learn more about her power. Before she could properly train herself, the coven dragged her out and tied her up for execution.
You had looked out at the sky that night, seeing flashes of light blue in the distance. You had a sharp feeling of panic that filled your chest. You knew something was happening to her.
Your feet carried you as quickly as possible, but you showed up too late. The circle of witches, as well as Agatha’s own mother, were using their full power to murder one of their own. You felt your own fire magic beginning to ignite at your fingertips with the full intent of burning them all from the feet up. Then, something changed.
The beams of magic turned into a familiar purple. Agatha had used it sparingly around you due to accidentally pulling some of your magic from you when you were practicing spells on one another. She shot a bit of energy at you for practice at blocking. When you did the same back and hit her with a small sting of magic, something else took hold of her. She was suddenly drinking in your power, no longer the girl you knew. It was as if she were in a trance. It began to rain as you felt your body grow weak. Agatha was shocked out of her trance by the surprise storm.
She looked horrified at what she had done. She crawled through the tall grass to see if you were okay. Agatha frantically apologized and said she never meant to hurt you. You believed the raw emotion and regret on her face. She held you close, terrified that she was about to lose you. Then, your energy seeped through the embrace and rejuvenated you. Her body instinctively pushed your power back to save you.
Her magic was strong, but nothing close to this. It was likely the pure emotion and fear that inflamed Agatha’s natural power. The traitorous witches shriveled and fell to the ground as the target of their ire’s power grew. Agatha, regardless of the power she now possessed, still begged her mother for mercy, for love. You knew before her mother even moved that she would never allow her daughter to feel the warmth of her mercy.
Her mother then signed her own death warrant by using her magic against the younger witch. You held your breath as you watched to see who would win out. A blinding flash of purple sealed her fate.
Your best friend simply stood there in the aftermath, thrumming with energy but looking utterly empty and alone. You ran forward, breathlessly asking if she was okay while untying her. Once she was free, Agatha turned towards you and considered your worried face. She realized in that moment that there was no one left to stop her from following her desire. She wordlessly reached over, brushing your long hair back and clutching it in her hands. She pulled you close into a kiss, your first. You melted into her, finally feeling completed in a way you had never been allowed to be.
In the centuries that passed, you ran together, hand in hand as you both sowed chaos until the 1930’s when you had a falling out over the Darkhold. It was taking over the woman you loved, blackening her fingers more every passing day. She was no longer a partner. She barely noticed you anymore. So, you left. You cast an aversion spell to hide from her, needing time away.
What you didn’t expect was for your spell to fall away while entering a hex casted by the Scarlet Witch. You were suddenly in a 1950’s dress, your new reality devoid of all color. Instead of the cafe you were originally in, you were in a diner with no explanation. You had felt a nexus of power and followed it here, worried that Agatha was the source.
However, the source was another formidable witch. The Scarlet Witch. She was feared by the magical community solely because of her lack of control while using Chaos magic. That amount of power mixed with that much inexperience was like a nuclear bomb waiting to explode.
Once she lost her husband, witches began to make protection spells and safety plans for their covens for the witch’s inevitable breakdown. The preamble to her ultimate self destruction was what occurred in Westfield.
At the sensation of an unfamiliar form of magic, you immediately grew uneasy. This wasn’t Agatha’s work, so what did you just get yourself into?
Just as you were beginning to think, the thoughts of another wormed their way in. They directed her actions and shook her with traumatic memories of a life that was not her own. Wanda’s life. Wanda’s nightmares.
After being forced to be a secretary for a day, being puppeted by a mad witch, you saw the one person who pierced through your stupor. Agatha. Or, “Agnes”. She was outside, flirting with the mailman at the gate of her white picket fence. You wanted to run to her, but the woman controlling your actions wouldn’t allow you to. You lost hope until Agatha locked eyes with her.
The recognition was evident. She excused herself and walked across the street. She smiled politely, saying, “Hiya, hot stuff! Wouldya like a drink with your new neighbor?”
Your heart dropped at the fear of her being trapped in another character. It wasn’t until she walked you to her house that she pulled you inside. In an instant, she dropped the act.
“Do you recognize me?” she asked, concerned at the way your eyes were a bit glazed over like the others.
“I’m sorry, I’m not sure I know what you mean- Agnes, was it?” you said, inwardly wanting to scream for help.
“Are you in there?” she whispered.
“Of course I am, silly!” You said with a pleasant smile.
Agatha took your hands in hers, whispering an incantation under her breath. Her magic flowed through your veins, untangling you from Wanda’s control. You gradually felt the force that was mentally strangling you loosen and fall away. You looked up into her eyes and whispered, “Agatha?”
She hugged you in a moment of pure relief. You held her back and breathed her in. Regardless of the hex, her scent stayed the same.
Agatha played on Wanda’s ignorance of her own hex to introduce her to her “new wife”. You lived with her, falling into a rhythm with her like your falling out never happened. The only time you felt that familiar ache of neglect was when she was pouring over the Darkhold. However, you agreed with her use of it in this case. A more experienced witch absorbing Wanda’s powers would neutralize a threat to the world. Hopefully, Agatha would wield that power in a way that was less unpredictable and explosive.
You could at least be there to guide her. Even at the worst of your relationship years ago, Agatha always pulled back on any major atrocities in your presence. Your own thirst for blood and chaos had settled down a bit. You hoped her love for you would help her hold back on mass destruction.
Time passed, decades of sitcoms in a single week. You played along with Agatha, completely undetected by Wanda even as she became aware of her own hex. She looked after Tommy and Billy when Agatha kidnapped them, keeping them calm as their powers were temporarily bound. Agatha had grown fond of the boys to the point where she truly didn’t want to harm them.
Agatha got into a battle with Wanda. You wanted nothing more than to fight by her side, but Agatha had made you promise that you would keep your cover. You nearly broke the promise as Wanda clearly won and approached your love. Her magic washed over Agatha, cursing her to stay Agnes.
For three years, you cared for “Agnes”, keeping her rested and fed while playing along with her delusions. First, she would be in sitcoms. Then, dramas. For a confusing week, a telenovela. You tried everything to break her out. Potions, incantations, charms. None of them brought her back to herself.
Once Wanda died, the curse seemed frayed around the edges. You picked gently at the edges of it, delicately working to reach Agatha. During her detective phase, she finally snapped her out of it during a conversation in an imagined morgue. Agatha stripped down through her previous ruses before finally becoming herself again. She was furious at the time and power stolen from her. She returned to the obsessive, power hungry attitude that pushed you away decades before. She thanked you, but was more focused on regaining her power. She dragged you from witch to witch, convincing them to join her on the road.
Now, you were standing in a circle with an obsessed Agatha and a coven who hated her.
Agatha taunted the coven as they waited for a door to appear. While everyone else was focused on her, you heard what she did. The hissing voices of the Salem Seven.
Suddenly, you saw a glowing outline of a door.
“Agatha!” you yelled.
“WHAT?” she snapped before looking down.
Her smile flashed, swinging the doors open with the help of Jen and Alice. They all ran down as the demonic, feral witches broke into the basement. The beings were the babies and children of their old village who had lost their mothers that fateful night. Agatha let everyone run down the stairs before you all but pushed her ahead of you in your instinct to protect her.
You felt the shot of magic burn into your side. Another one nearly took off your arm. You closed the doors with your power before stumbling down the stairs. Agatha was in a panic as she looked for you before you appeared at the bottom of the steps, bloody and pale. You fell to the ground. Agatha sprinted over to you, cradling you, looking as terrified as she had been that day in the field centuries ago. Feeling the guilt of causing harm to the woman she loved.
She screamed at her new coven for help. Jen leapt into action. Though she never liked Agatha, she couldn’t help but be sympathetic to a sobbing woman cradling her lover, begging her not to die.
“Please don’t leave me,” Agatha whispered, her tears wetting your cheeks as they fell, “I need you. Please, I love you, you can’t leave…”
Jen pulled up your shirt, sending a searing pain that pierced through your shock, ripping a scream from your throat. She poured a cool water over your wounds, causing them to start healing. The wounds were deep enough that they would take a few nights to heal, but they would heal.
The last thing you saw before passing out was a teary eyed Agatha wearing a relieved, shaking smile.
You woke lying on a bed of leaves, covered by a makeshift shelter. She would recognize this handiwork anywhere. Agatha had built it.
You groaned, starting to look around. You hissed in pain as arms guided you back down.
“Shh, don’t sit up. You’re still healing,” Agatha said softly. She put your head in her lap and combed her fingers through your hair the way she had when you were girls. It was as if you had hopped back in time, just two girls in love in the woods. Agatha looked at you the way she did before the Darkhold. She gazed at you like nothing else mattered.
“Agatha?”
“You were wounded when protecting me from the Seven. You shouldn’t have done that. You should have been down the stairs before me. I-“ she babbled, her voice cracking.
“I would do it again in a second,” you said simply.
Her face was soft and clear of any of her masks. She leaned down, kissing you softly.
“I love you so much,” she whispered.
“I love you too.”
“I’m so sorry,” she said.
“Agatha, I already told you I don’t regret-“
“No, not just for that. I’m sorry for letting you go when I had the Darkhold. You were always more important, but I let everything else cloud my judgment. I won’t let that happen ever again.”
“Yeah?”
“Yes. I don’t want the Darkhold. I miss my magic, but I care more about you.”
“You would stay powerless for me?” you asked.
“Yes,” she answered immediately.
“I would never ask that, but I’m glad that you would offer that.”
“I’m serious. I don’t care about anything but helping you survive the road.”
“Well, I care about you feeling whole again. I want to help you regain your magic. Not the Darkhold, but your natural magic.”
“I don’t need-“
“I know. But I want it for you. I’ll heal up and then we will beat these trials. Then, we’ll make a home again.”
She had a grateful smile on her face as she leaned down again, pressing her lips to yours. That night, she held you as your body healed, your heartbeat a more exquisite feeling than anything the Darkhold could provide.

Tumblr media
Agatha Harkness had always admired you. From afar, there was no real reason why, unlike most of her motives, she’d always want one thing and one thing only; power. You on the other hand gave her something else much fun.
She was always going to be obsessed with power. That’s just who she is and who everybody else knows. But she likes to think you know her differently, maybe even better. She couldn’t wrap her head around it when she first met you, of course, your arrival in westview was unexpected. With others not hearing of your name in a while, where you have been, what you have been up to. She knew you liked to keep to yourself, it was a skill really. Especially in the witch world.
Yes, it added more energy to those names everyone admires or fears away from, for instance, every witch in history and till this day has heard of the scarlet witch. They've heard very little of you, but your name does travel around.
Since the Salem times.
Maybe you just didn't like the attention yourself, you were a silent one. Despite your magic.
Agatha knows that every witches magic reflects who they truly are on the inside. Just no one would expect it from you.
Obviously, she had checked the most obvious place, Westview. But there was no sight of you, she would have sensed your energy anyway, she just couldn’t feel you anywhere.
After finally returning back to her true self, not the “agnes” from the last three wasted years of her life. Her first thought was wanting to find you.
She used to feel you everywhere, now, it was just a memory.
She wasn’t going to allow that to happen. She knew her mind had been twisted and you wouldn’t have gone that far.
So why couldn’t she feel you?
Agatha started to panic from the worst case scenarios that could have happened to you while she wasn’t keeping an eye on you. Did Wanda do something? No, this doesn’t seem like something she’d do without a good reason. Unlike her, you actually made an attempt to be close to Wanda, to try and be her friend, you were casted the role as her best friend, it only made sense.
She hated that. Watching how friendly the two of you were, how you always were laughing around the other witch, how happy you looked. She wasn’t blind to how Wanda was very touchy with you either.
It made her sick.
If only she had the one book that made her feel more powerful than anything else in this world and it didn’t fall into the hands of her.
But was the dark hold really going to save her?
Why was she thinking so little anyways? Probably the side effects to what Wanda did to her.
She didn’t like it.
She needed to find you.
She had to.
There wasn’t really any reason to explain herself, just her feeling.
-
Sometime, somewhere in Salem, 1600s.
Your body ached.
Everywhere there was pain.
Constant, irritable pain. You couldn’t do anything. There was not much to do when you were bedridden most of your life since you were a kid. You didn’t exactly have the luckiest childhood, where you got to experience going to school, having friends, making memories, first love, first kisses. No. it was just seeing doctor after doctor.
You got sick easily compared to most children, there was never any reason behind it. Some thought it was the usual with the body changing, puberty, growth, but it was more than that. It wasn’t fair. You shouldn’t have to live like this.
Then one day, it got better.
You were still young, you had just turned 18. A big time for people your age. You were becoming an adult. And finally, for once you could breathe fresh air without feeling any sort of pain.
And of course, that was the year the Salem witch trials began.
On your birthday, you were to be trailed.
Then to be dead.
-
Somewhere, sometime, in modern world.
Times have changed.
There were no burning witches, no more trails, it was even considered more accepted. Instead now, they had guns, more firepower than before.
You’d much prefer the bullet to the head than being burned alive any day.
It was quick and effective. Well, if used right.
You should be dead. Even after your trial, you shouldn’t still be alive. Maybe you should consider being more “positive” . It's kind of hard to when you spend most of your youth in bed.
Now things were different for you, which should be a good thing, but it didn’t feel so. You worked, had your own place to call home, didn’t really bother making any friends, you didn’t care if people thought you were strange to be a loner at your age, you liked that.
Even so, you don’t even know your age. You know you were once 18, then you made it to your twenties or something, and then it all stopped. You didn’t have the ageing effect everyone else got. Witches aren’t immortal beings, though, we possess the power to live longer than humans, we still age, and look “older.”
You still looked like you could be a damn college student. And yet you didn’t feel like you were at all.
God, you were born centuries ago. You can’t even remember your birthday. You usually have to make one up to please those around you, so they don’t have another excuse to make you look even weird.
You didn’t really understand what the big deal was.
Sure, now, there were real life superheroes, straight out of the comics, captain america, Iron man, the black widow, Thor, whoever else there was, there were too many of them.
You wondered why witches didn’t also get this much attention as well. Hell, you could literally move things with your mind, okay, so can some special people with abilities, but they weren’t witches.
They weren’t born with the ability blessed to know witchcraft. Sure, it can be easily accessible, but only you yourself knows that part of you.
It was all rather complicated stuff really.
In all of your time being alive, there weren't that many people who moved you, not quite like her.
There wasn't just one her.
These women who impacted your life more than you could have imagined, changed it for the better or for the worse, you wouldn’t know. The names that were carved into your skin, so you could never forget.
You wouldn’t be able to anyways.
You never spoke of their names out loud, fearing that they would pop up at any moment, you knew that possibility would be low, still, you couldn’t help but wonder.
The connections you shared with them is what you miss the most. And their touch.
You sometimes still see her. Either walking outside of where you worked, in a crowd, in the train, in your apartment, staring at you.
Just in a blink of an eye, a flash of hair the color of scarlet would pass by, then hair dark as night.
It was a never ending torment.
You couldn’t get rid of them.
Even if you had the choice you wouldn’t.
It would probably kill you if you tried.
-
Westview, 2023.
When you arrived, it was late. Most of the residents of this town would have gone to bed already, not you. You wanted to introduce yourself, the new neighbour moving in, this town didn’t seem that bad, everyone so far was nice to you, welcoming.
Then you finally met her.
She came to you first, already expecting your arrival. You were surprised when you opened your door and it revealed a woman standing in front of you. And she was absolutely gorgeous.
“Hi! I’m Wanda, welcome to Westview!” she greeted with a bright smile, your heart immediately warmed at the sight, the sound of her voice soothed you, you felt so relaxed around her, like you already trusted her.
It was your turn to introduce yourself, you did so, shyly.
“What a beautiful name” she complimented with a chuckle, enjoying how flustered you easily got as you avoided her gaze, how you fidgeted with your fingers together.
“May I come in? I made chocolate chip cookies for my boys, I seemed to have made too many, I always go overboard with my baking. Here, try some, I hope you like them!” she grinned, handing you the container of freshly made cookies that made your stomach growl with hunger.
They were even wrapped in a cute pink bow.
You wondered how someone so perfect could exist and breathe the same air as you at the same time, you even questioned if she was really and truly real. But when she leaned in for a hug, you couldn’t resist, and you knew she felt real.
You didn't mean to end up in Westview, and yet here you are.
Wrapped around a certain witch's finger, who wants you all to herself, while she watches, from afar.
-
Shortly after meeting Wanda, you met Agnes.
Though you felt like you already knew her. From somewhere, sometime, you weren’t sure. She looked familiar. You didn’t get this feeling when you had met everyone else, so why was she different?
You soon found out why.
Not very long when chaos struck.
-
You were running, out of breath, you forgot why you were running in the first place. Were you chasing something or was something coming after you? No. You were heading somewhere. The town that was Westview, now turned to shit, as above you, far from your view, two witches fought. All you could think about was one thing only; fuck the dark hold.
Fuck whoever created that stupid overly powerful book. It had ruined everything for you, it ruined the ones you loved.
You couldn’t even do anything about it.
It was so powerful that someone like you couldn't withstand it.
And it was crushing everything you loved.
You wish you could burn it.
It turned the one witch who saved you all those centuries ago into something twisted, dark. She wasn’t always like that, not the woman you first met and knew, fell in love with, who saved you. Who would walk through hell just to get to you. She will still do that, just she doesn't feel the same to you anymore.
In her eyes, you still saw the soft Agatha hidden behind all that darkness. Her heart was tainted, you weren’t sure if you liked this Agatha now or the one you met, you can’t help but fall more in love with her.
And she knows it.
When she heard you cry out in pain, being thrown by the scarlet witch’s power, she stopped. You were her weakness. Wanda saw that.
How her eyes immediately went to you, how your body was in pain, as you groaned out. You were no match for the scarlet witch, so what the hell were you doing? She didn’t think too much of that, her main focus was Wanda, still she kept her eyes on you.
Only you.
Her heart thumped loudly in her ears, there was a loud ringing noise, she couldn’t focus, her breathing turned ragged, out of her own stubbornness, She flew to you, in front of you, you saw an angel, she was far from one.
She cupped your face, it sent a chill down your spine as you let out a shudder, wanting more of her, to be closer, as you slowly moved your body towards her, the best you can with whatever energy you had left inside you.
“No” she whispered, forcing your body to not move, you only managed to look up and see her face despite your vision going blurry, you were so so tired. “I want to make this right, I need to, for you, it’s all I ever want, I need just you, I shouldn’t have left you by yourself, it was cruel, a mistake, but I knew we’d always find each other again. From the vow we made all those centuries ago, now, close your eyes, I’ll make it right, rest, you’ll see me soon” and then she kissed you.
You felt yourself break out in a sob, this made you hate her, made you angry, as you watched her walk away, you couldn’t do anything.
Then everything went black.
-
Sometime in 2024.
Now you can breathe again.
Just a bit.
You have always felt like you were suffocating, or drowning underwater, begging, grasping for air. Your lungs tightening, your throat closing, you couldn’t scream, make a sound, it was the worst torture you’ve experinced. Until you had to watch your lover get erased and completely forget about your entire existence.
You would have preferred getting killed.
But the scarlet witch didn’t show mercy like that.
Even if you begged her.
You wished it was you who had their memory erased, but you remember every single thing that happened. How you got to Westview, when everything turned to shit, it was already going bad from the start, you saw reality break in front of you and everyone else.
You remembered waking up, Wanda was gone, so were her boys and Vision, and you had met Monica, who helped you off the ground in the first place, she was nice, you were grateful she didn’t suspect you to be working with the Scarlet Witch.
Even then you found she was trying to help her, instead of imprisoning her, she wanted to help everyone.
When you had asked her of Agatha, she was quiet.
“She’s… Agnes now. I’m sorry.”
You didn’t know why she even apologised to you, knowing Agatha could have quite literally killed her if she wanted to, maybe she felt pity for you, how she saw it in your eyes of you felt for the witch.
Despite it all.
Now you were living quite nicely, the apartment building of where you rented your place wasn’t too loud even during the day, at night, you like to go on walks, enjoying the lack of people around, your neighbour had protested to you going out by yourself but you preferred it that way. You worked in a cute book shop just a few streets from your place, everyday you wake up at the same time, sometime sleeping in longer if you wanted to, as you always went out and got your favourite coffee, enjoying the warmth of the morning sun. you’d come back home, slipping out of your work clothes and into something much more comfortable and outside there would be a beautiful sunset.
As you sit at your desk, drinking a cup of coffee, writing down your day in your journal, keeping track of everything that’s happened, adding down stuff you needed to get from the market, what you wanted to cook, or bake.
Then there was a sudden knock at your door.
Weird.
You weren’t expecting anyone coming over, unless it was your neighbour, who often was a bit nosy but she was relatively nice.
Letting out a sigh as you’d hope they would have walked away if you didn’t answer the first knock, but then there was another, it sounded urgent, strange. As you stood up, placing your cup down as you walked towards the door, putting on a smile, you opened it.
The air was knocked out of you in a heartbeat, before your eyes, you couldn’t believe who you were seeing, after all these years, how, why? You couldn’t wrap your head around it.
“Agatha?” you whispered, not wanting to say the name outloud in fear of her disappearing.
She bent down on her knees, her hand reaching out as you grabbed it, your hands shook, she stared into your gaze, helping you stand up.
“How did you… is it really you?” you asked with a gasp, she smiled, walking into your apartment, stepping closer to you as she didn’t let go of your hand. “How did you find me?.”
“My precious kitten, I'll always find you.”
Your heart skipped a beat hearing her voice again, it was real, she was real, her touch, her voice, everything.
You wanted to know how, but you didn’t care. She knew that, she saw it in your eyes, how much hunger there was inside them, your skin felt like it was on fire, you needed her.
“Kiss me” you whimpered, she closed the door behind her using her foot, as she grinned.
Agatha pulled you in closer, you smelt her scent, lavender, she always loved lavender. So did you. It became your favourite. You felt her hands grip your waits, as her lips kissed yours, you moaned, wrapping your arms around her neck. She groaned into the kiss, sending a chill down your spine.
She pushed you against the wall, her lips leaving yours as she kissed down your neck, sucking hard on your skin, causing your body to shudder, leaving a visible mark. You wanted more. You whined, pushing yourself into her more, she chuckled.
“Needy.”
You huffed, “you like it.”
“Touche.”
Her lips found yours again as she hummed, she was enjoying this, teasing you, your Agatha hasn’t changed not one bit. You felt her knee pressed in between your thighs, with the little clothing you wore to bed, you were grateful, moaning as you ground yourself on her leg. She chuckled, her nails digging into you to keep you still as you fucked yourself on her.
“So innocent, yet you fuck like a whore” she grinned, kissing along your jawline, her tongue licking your skin, as your head fell into her neck, you were getting close, she knew this, she wasn’t a stranger to how your body reacted around her, it was building up inside you, fast. You cried out as you came, embarrassingly quick, but she didn’t seem to care, as she lifted you up, you thought she would have used her magic, like she would have done, but you soon realised she didn’t have any.
Agatha didn’t let that stop her from getting what she wants, yeah, she feels more useless and powerful, weak, around you she gained a little of that power back, you made her feel powerful, beautiful.
She pushes you onto the bed, making you lay down on your back, her hands quickly pulling at your clothes as she rips it off, revealing your bare chest, as she admires you, you shy away. It's been a long time since she looked at you like that.
“Gorgeous, you’re so beautiful” she murmured softly, your cheeks heated up as you bit down on your bottom lip. You let her pull down your panties, she moaned at the sight, how wet you already were, practically soaking, your wetness dripping down your inner thigh.
She licked her lips hungrily, she felt like she was a starving dog, about to devour. She kissed up your thighs, using her hand to spread them more wide for her, she stared up at you, you watched her eyes darkened, you missed this, you missed her.
Your hands found their way to her hair, still felt so soft, you always loved running your hands through her hair, she pretended not to like it, but you saw the way she’d lean into you more, asking you to do it again without saying it outloud, she loved it.
Her tongue licked up your cunt, making you gasp as you gripped harder, she kept going, still fucking with you, even now, with her head in between your thighs. You enjoyed it. You didn’t want her to stop as you pressed your legs against her head, forcing her to stay there as she wrapped her mouth around your clit, earning a moan from you as more came out as she sucked on it, she didn’t let go until she made you come as many times as she wanted you to, she loved the way you tasted, how sweet it was on her tongue, as she consumed you.
Your body went limp as you had to practically beg for agatha to stop, you’d reach your limit, and she broke through. She pulled herself away with a wicked grin, your wetness all over her chin, as she leaned into you, kissing you, you tasted yourself on her lips.
You wanted more.
You grabbed agatha by her hips as you moved the both of you so that you were now on top, she smiled, giving a small laugh.
She reached up and cupped your face, her eyes set on you. “Is it your turn for a taste?” she whispered.
You didn’t answer, with a flick of your wrist, she was naked, as you went down on her, kissing along her skin, biting her, wanting to make her cry out.
You won’t stop until you’ve consumed every part of her.

Hello there, I have a request...
what if during the 3 years that Agatha was in the hex, she went through a rom-com phase, the lover character being the reader. Now that she is out of the hex, she meets the reader again but it turns out the feeling was still there.
Thank you in advance.

For the past three years, Agatha was trapped under the Scarlet Witch’s spell. Trapped in her own mind to play the character of Agnes, the nosy neighbor. But even then she was able to find some sort of happiness, you. You used to live in Westview with your parents but moved out when you started college. After the news of what had happened you didn’t waste any time booking a flight to go back home. That’s how Agnes, well Agatha, met you.
She was working on her garden when you approached her. You were told of her situation, how everyone in the neighborhood helped her out when they could and you wanted to be one of them. You introduced yourself and told her that if she ever needed something to just knock on your door. From that moment on, you became a ray of sunshine in the darkness of her mind.
You were quite the baker so every time you made cupcakes or cookies, you always made sure to save some for her. Her favorite cookies of yours were your homemade lemon cookies. They tasted like heaven to her. At some point, you always found yourself at her house, talking or just watching tv together and in Agatha’s mind it became a romantic comedy where you were her love interest.
Despite everything, a bond had formed. Agatha treasured these moments, a warmth she hadn't realized she missed. She was drawn to your laughter, a sound like wind chimes on a breezy day. The way your cheeks turned pink and your eye got so small, you looked so adorable. It was such a refresher after the nightmares of her past she had every night.
Then came the day the spell was suddenly lifted. Agatha had finally come to her senses. She found herself standing in her living room completely naked, her mind going wild. It was like a movie started to play from the moment she was put under the spell to when she met you.
“Y/n…” she whispered your name. All that happened between you two dawned on her. She had fallen in love again after all these years but were you even real? She had no sense of what was real or fake so without thinking, she burst through her door, still naked, and ran across the street to where you were supposed to live. She found you cutting some tree branches and screamed your name.
“Y/n!” You turned to look at the source of the noise and your eyes nearly fell out when you saw it was A̶g̶n̶e̶s̶ Agatha walking towards you with absolutely nothing to cover herself with.
“Agnes, what in the world are you doing?!” You rushed towards her, taking off the jacket you were wearing. She stopped in front of you, her breaths coming out in quick pants. She was still trying to process everything that was happening. You quickly wrapped the jacket around her, shielding her from the neighbors' curious eyes.
“You’re real…” she said, cupping your cheek with a smile on her face.
“Yes, yes I’m real- why don’t we take you inside, Agnes-”
“It’s Agatha,” she quickly corrected, absolutely detesting that name whilst allowing you to lead her into her house.
“Okay c’mon,” you walked with her into her house, locking the door behind you. When you turned around to look at the older woman, she had already taken the jacket off and you quickly covered your eyes.
“Agnes- I mean Agatha,” you took the first thing you saw on her coat rag and handed it to her, “Please put some clothes on and explain to me what the hell is happening.”
She took the robe from your hands and slipped it on. In her own defense, it hadn’t been that long since she was…on her own that she forgot to keep herself covered, not that she actually cared if you saw her naked.
“Come,” she urged you to her couch. You sat down and waited for her to speak first while still wrapping your head around what had just happened. She sat down next to you, her body still shaking from the sudden change. She was still trying to process it all and the memories that flooded her mind. She turned to look at you and saw the confusion in your eyes.
“I don’t know where to start…” she said, her voice soft.
“It’s okay,” you took her hands in yours, “take your time.” She looked down at your hands, her heart fluttering as she felt the warmth of your touch. She intertwined her fingers with yours, taking comfort in your presence.
“I’ve been under a spell for the past three years…” she began, her voice trembling slightly, “The Scarlet Witch…she trapped me in my own mind to play this…Agnes character after I tried to take her power. Meaning that I am also a witch and my name is Agatha Harkness.” She finished, waiting for any sort of reaction from you before she continued. You blinked a few times, taking in what she was saying.
“So…the woman I talked to every day wasn’t actually you?” You asked confused. Was all you shared in vain? She could see it in your face where your mind was going.
“No! No it’s-“ she sighed, “It’s complicated. It was me but not completely. I didn’t have full control of my mind but you and I,” she scooted closer, “that was real to me and I really hope it was real to you too.”
“…it was real to me too, Aggie.” She let out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding, her shoulders sagging with relief. She had been so worried that you were just a figment of her imagination.
“You have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that…” she whispered, leaning closer to your lips until they finally touched. You brought your hands to her face, pulling closer into the kiss. She wrapped her arms around your neck, pulling you on top of her as she deepened the kiss. She poured all her emotions into it, all the feelings she had for you while she was trapped under the spell. When you pulled away and looked at her, she had tears in her eyes and you immediately started to panic.
“What’s wrong? Did I do something wrong?”
“No, no, no, you didn’t do anything wrong,” she reassured you, a smile on her face as she cupped your cheek.
“I’m just so happy…I never thought I would be able to hold you like this, to feel your touch, to kiss you. I thought you were just a mind trick Wanda was using to torture me…” You smiled at her before kissing away the tears that had escaped her eyes.
“I won’t let that witch get to you ever again.” She chuckled at your comment, her heart swelling with affection for you. She ran her fingers through your hair, admiring every single feature on your face.
“My knight in shining armor…”
“At your service m’lady,” She couldn’t help but laugh at your response, the sound ringing throughout the room. She pulled you closer, resting her head on your chest, listening to your heartbeat.
“Please don’t ever leave…” she said, clinging onto you as if you would disappear if she didn’t.
“I’m here Agatha. I won’t leave your side.” You reassured her. She snuggled closer to you, burying her face in the crook of your neck. She felt so safe in your arms, like nothing could hurt her anymore.
“Promise?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
“I promise,” you whispered, running your hands through her messy hair.

Honestly, I don't understand the people who are bitter about the way Agatha All Along ended. I thought it was freaking amazing.
Tumblr media
Agatha and Rio got to be angry and in love and epically drawn to each other. And petty as all hell.
We got a kiss (and Rio's face those seconds before Agatha kissed her and she felt it coming). We got to see the wounds Agatha left in Death. We got to see a moment where Agatha essentially forgave Death (even if she wouldn't acknowledge it to Rio). We watched Rio cover her grave in the color that meant most to Agatha. We watched how Rio gave Agatha the time to love her son (because even if the older Agatha refused to see it - because it hurt too much - she would clearly have taken that gift a second time if she found herself back in that moment).
And it wasn't even the end of them, because if you don't think Rio is going to keep pursuing Agatha's soul now that she's floating around as a ghost instead of coming home to her, you're wrong (you're just... wrong).
It might not have been a "happy ending" but it was freaking glorious.

Something something Agatha as Elphaba because she was born the way she was and unable to control it. She was hated by her mother from birth, and has never been able to hold onto those she loves without hurting them. She lets herself be evil because no one mourns the wicked in the end.
Something something Lilia as Glinda because she sees the sorrow, grief, and pain carried by her best friend. She sees that Agatha wasn’t born wicked, but had wickedness thrust upon her. She disagrees with some of her actions, but she loves her anyway. And in the end she’ll will sacrifice what she must so her friends can be happy.
Something something Jen as the Evil Queen because she’s obsessed with beauty and herself. She is bound by her self love and when she learns to look outside the mirror she will unlock great power.
Something something Billy as Maleficent because he’s an outcast amongst witches (not truly part of the coven, had to invite himself to the party), and because there is a dragon hiding within him, waiting to be unleashed.

An incredibly thoughtful and intelligent interview with Kathryn Hahn! Here's a bunch of my highlights under the cut - this interview was definitely done after episode 6.
Shout-out to @isagrimorie and @the-ominous-owl for finding this first
Happy to see someone complimenting Hahn on how well she's embodying the character right down to her fingertips. The interviewer asked the thing I've been dying to know: how it was like working with her movement coach Jennifer White.
Turns out she didn't work with her much for AAA, since Agatha doesn't have her powers, but she worked closely with her for WV where White would propose specific movements for the different spells she had to do, giving her options.
Hahn lets it slip at around 6:11 that Agatha gets her powers back at the very end. Which yeah if you've been watching trailers seems kinda obvious but there you go.
I love how Hahn naturally slips in and out of character in her answers to these questions – she's clearly spent so much time and easily gets into that headspace. It also shows how good these questions are in exploring the character.
Yes, Agatha's whole trauma with her mom did of course make it difficult for her to trust other witches or anybody. "Centuries of survival mechanisms, she just makes a joke."
Interesting: Not only does Rio understand and see parts of Agatha she doesn't want others to see, Agatha "sees things in [Rio] that she's trying to conceal."
Hahn describes their very long and complicated history as one that is "filled with love and respect and hate", with Hahn saying that Rio has really been the only one whose energy has felt equal to Agatha, "someone to spar with and be shocked by".
Agatha's default mask / shell is to be mean. That's always an available option.
Agatha surprises herself with the empathy she's finding for this coven the more time she spends with them, because it is a coven of outcasts. It's new and weird and unexpected for her.
Hahn aligning with Schaeffer's interpretation that Agatha has limited control over her siphoning power: "It's like something takes over and she just absorbs people's power... When she find herself doing it, it's like she can't help it. She just takes."
Hilarious based on Hahn's reaction that she never unpacked the episode 5 aftermath scenes consciously until now. "Oh Agatha." Yep she is a real mess when you actually look at her lol.
Happy that Hahn's perspective is aligning with my meta of how complicated Agatha's relationship with Billy is: It's "an echo of something", Agatha's happy and proud that he's dropped the ruse and is embracing his witch identity, and that he's capable of murder. And she remembers the little kid she babysat.
You can tell how much Hahn cares for and is protective of the character when she talks about how vulnerable Agatha was under the spell and how she was brought low.
Hahn did say "foreplay" when responding to the question about the Episode 1 physical fight, and Rio and Agatha going at each other despite not being able to kill each other.
"I think it's a testament to how strong their bond is that it could reach through a spell and find each other there. And she was really responsible – and Teen – for getting me out of the spell."
"So it felt familiar, like we've done this again, a million times over the years. And it always kinda ends like that. 'Not this time!' but you know what I mean? We keep it going."
