D is for Daughter!
(Fan child Introduction time! I would have done this for F about as said before D didn’t turn out well so I’m moving to this one)
I heard a quiet little knock on our door. I gently walk up to the door and see our eight year old Bridgette, standing there holding her plush spider.
“Daddy… I’m scared…” Bridgette mutters.
“What happened honey?” I ask
“I had a nightmare…” She mutters.
“Would you like to talk about it?” I ask
“Yeah…” She responds.
“Ok let’s go…”
I walk towards our bed and shake my husband awake. He groggily sits up and notices me sitting their with our daughter.
“What’s going on?” He ask
“Bridgette had a nightmare…” I explain.
“Oh you poor thing…” He says glancing to Bridgette “Would you like hugs from Papa?”
“Yes…” Bridgette says crawling on Trents lap.
She sits on my husbands lap and Trents wraps his arms around her.
“What happened in your nightmare, sweetie?” He asks
“Well, I wasn’t in it exactly, it was like watching a movie or from the TV or something like that…” She explains.
“I see…” He says holding her hand.
“And what happened was that Daddy was going to start a fire in a cabin because he was angry with someone. But he didn’t because he suddenly got sad. Then a strange man came in with a creepy smile and black hair and he placed a bunch of dynamite in the cabin. And the cabin exploded, and everyone thought Daddy did it.” Bridgette says quietly.
“Oh hun…” I say quietly.
“Then Daddy got arrested. And he went to Jail. And Daddy did not like being in jail. And these big guys in orange suits did not like Daddy, so they bullied him. And Daddy got really mad, and next thing I saw…” Bridgette trailed off.
“What?” Trent asks quietly.
“They were dead. A-and Daddy… He… he was covered in blood. And then I saw you Papa. You were in front of two dead people as well. And you were covered in blood…” She mutters quietly.
The two of us just look at her in shock.
“And then I saw You two in a chair, with bags over your heads. You were holding hands and then some man pulled a lever. A lever that was going to kill you and… Then I woke up…” She finishes.
“Oh baby girl no…” I say quietly moving to hug her.
“That’s not going to happen… Right Daddy?” She asks nervously.
“No no of course not Baby girl. Daddy would never do that. And Papa wouldn’t do that either, right?” I say glancing at him.
“No of course not!” He reassures her.
“Promise?” She asks
“Promise…” Me and my husband say at the same time.
Bridgette nods and we spend a few minutes sitting their comforting our daughter with hugs. Finally she lays herself to sleep and Trent picks her up and carries her to her room. When he returns, he looks at me with concern.
“That was a disturbing dream our daughter had…” He mutters.
“Yeah…”
“Do you think that’ll actually happen?” He asks nervously.
“Of course not! Chris already blew up the cabin a long while ago. And I never went to jail because the false charges were unveiled. Nothing is ever going to happen, I swear.” I reassure him.
“I know… I just worry you get me?” He says
“I get it. But I promise that I would never leave you…” I reassure him again.
“Ok… Cuddles?” He ask
“Cuddles…” I smile.
I lay down on the bed and Trent lays down behind me and wraps his arms around me. I cuddle into his back and we pull the blanket up over ourselves. Soon we drift away into a peaceful sleep
(Ok I like this one a lot! Short and Sweet :) )

An Enchanted Kiss (Part 1)
An Enchanted Kiss
Alright, let’s see if I can do this…
--------------------
This is a story that took place long ago.
A story of about loneliness... sadness… understanding... love...
Between a young Winter Sprite and a Spring Nymph...
This is their tale...
----
Once there lived a young couple, a summer Fae named Ava and a Winter Sprite named Trent. The two were madly in love with one another and desired to start a family together.
For many years, the couple have struggled to conceive a child.
Until one day, Ava felt something stir in her womb. This both shocked and delighted the pair, for now they had a chance of starting the family they longed prayed for.
The pregnancy, however, took a toll on the Summer Fae. She could feel ice build within her veins with each passing month of her pregnancy. Her unborn child is already proving to be a powerful Winter Sprite.
Strong enough to freeze her from the inside out...
With a steely resolve, she knew she wouldn’t survive long after the birth. With this in mind, she informed Trent of her possible demise.
The Winter Sprite was heartbroken to her the news that he would be without his beloved, but heeded her words of wisdom about how to care for their child when he or she was born.
Despite the pain, Ava still glowed with the warmth of the summer sun. She constantly doted on her expanding belly, singing and speaking kindly to her unborn child.
It wasn’t until one fateful day, she felt a painful contraction and liquid leak down her leg.
Her child was ready to see the world.
In their home, Ava went through several long hours of labor. She could feel the cold spread more rapidly, causing her blood to grow sluggish. Trent attended to his weakening wife’s every need.
Even suffering a mangled hand and she pushed their child into the world.
Their faces lit up at the sound of their child’s first wail of life. Trent quickly cut the cord that connected mother to child and proceeded to clean the babe.
“It’s a boy,” he whispered to his tired wife, tears of happiness and heartbreak running down his face. Ava raised her arms.
“May I...” Never one to deny his lovely wife anything, Trent handed off their son to her. Ava gazed down at her son, whose cloudy red eyes gazed sightlessly back at her.
“He... he has your eyes,” she whispered, caressing the babe’s soft cheek. Trent pressed a kiss to her temple.
“And he looks like he’ll have your hair color,” he whispered back as the young boy fell asleep in his mother’s arms.
“He’s beautiful,” Ava said softly, the cold began to slowly numb her senses.
“What would you like to name him,” Trent asked, gently squeezing her freezing hand.
“Talbott... his name is Talbott,” Trent smiled.
“Talbott... it’s perfect,” he said. Ava gave her husband one last adoring look, squeezing his hand back.
“I love you, Trent,” she whispered. Trent willed himself not to cry in front her, knowing she wouldn’t want him to feel sad.
“And I you, my beautiful Swan,” he replied, placing a chaste kiss to her cheek. A week giggle escaped Ava’s lips at the gesture.
She placed a kiss to her son’s forehead.
“I love you, my little Talbott. Forever and always,” she told the sleeping babe. Ava could feel her heart slowing down and suddenly felt immensely tired.
She gave her husband one last smile before closing her eyes, submitting to her eternal slumber.
Trent pressed another kiss to his wife’s cold forehead, a lone tear running down his cheek. He then took his sleeping son in his arms so he could rest in his nursey.
Then there were two...
------------
Years would go by and Talbott grew up to be a quiet handsome boy.
He inherited his father’s red eyes and sharp facial features but had the same skin color and hair color from his dear mother.
He was told what happened to his mother after he constantly questioned his dad about her whereabouts. Trent didn’t want to break his son’s heart by telling him what really happened to her but when he asked if she abandoned them, he broke.
Talbott balled in his father’s lap when he understood what has become of his mum. It was almost impossible to calm the weeping child. Until Trent remembered a gift left behind by his late wife. Leading his son to his bedroom, Trent searched the drawers until he found what he was looking for.
He dusted off the box before handing it to his sniffling son.
“What’s this, dad,” the young boy asked, wiping his teary face. Trent gave his son a small smile.
“A gift from your mother...” Talbott stared at the plain brown box before tentatively opening it. A white feather necklace.
“Your mum was an Animagus, meaning she could transform into an animal. Her Animagus form was a Swan. She wanted to leave you something to remember her by,” his father explained. Talbott gave his dad a teary smile before on the necklace. The young child hugged his sire.
“Thank you, dad. I love you and mum,” he mumbled into his chest. Trent let out a shaky breath before returning the hug.
“And we love you, Talbott. Always...”
-----------------
“Dad, dad! Guess what, I can d-” The excitement that flooded the young Winter Sprite was replaced with devastation.
There laying in bed was his father. He held a wood drawing of his late wife to his chest. A single tear streak was found on his ashen face.
Talbott quickly rushed over to his side, trying to find a pulse. But there was none.
Talbott wept over his dead father’s body, pleading with him to come back. To open his eyes so he could show him his new ability to turn into a Golden Eagle. That he inherited another gift from his mother. To watch him smile and laugh as he flew overhead.
A gaping hole was felt right where his heart was. Frost was building in his veins as a snow storm quickly began to form outside his home.
Pulling away, Talbott stared sightlessly at his father. With a flick of his wrist, Trent’s body levitated under a cushion of snow flurries.
Talbott got up and walked out, with his dad’s body trailing behind him. With his destination in mind, the young man walked in the snow that was quickly picking up speed. But he paid it no mind.
For it can’t compare to the cold emptiness building within his chest.
Some time would pass until Talbott reached a lake. Heading towards the massive weeping willow, Talbott stood in front of a familiar ice gravestone.
This was the place his mum was laid to rest.
It would only be right if he were to give his dad the chance to be with her again.
Using his magic, Talbott slowly lowered his dad’s body towards the ground, watching as nature seem to swallow it body home. As if they were claiming one of their own once more.
Talbott erected another gravestone of ice, this time with his father’s name one it.
The young Winter Sprite stood there for some time. Not saying a word as his magic swirled around him.
The only thing he could think of was now his parents were together again.
But he was left alone.
His passive face morphed into glare.
And if he had to be alone, then the entire world will feel his loneliness as well…
————————————
Few days later, miles away from the Winter Sprite’s home was a Spring Nymph. Her name was Judith.
The young girl was her father’s pride but her mother’s disappointment.
Kendrick, a Summer Fae, and Sade, a Fall Pixie, only were together out of circumstance.
The Summer Fae had intentions on leaving since he didn’t believe the relationship was going anywhere until the Fall Pixie said she was pregnant with his child.
He cared the pregnant woman and helped her through the birthing process of their child. Kendrick may have not knew love with Sade but he couldn’t help but to fall in love looking into his daughter’s droopy gold eyes.
While he was happy to have a daughter, Sade detested the young babe. She knew Kendrick didn’t love her.
Last thing she wanted was a child that reminded her of this.
Few months after the birth, Sade left.
She didn’t leave a note as to why.
Kendrick wasn’t sure how to feel about her disappearance. While he wasn’t sad or angry, he felt worried that his child wouldn’t have a loving maternal figure.
But his little princess didn’t seem bothered at all. So neither was he.
Judith grew up to be a beautiful young woman, almost her father’s twin.
The Spring Nymph proven to be a ray a sunshine. Kind and gentle. Graceful and beautiful.
She was singing and dancing in the forest. Birds responded to the sound of her voice and flowers blossomed by her feet where she danced. Even some of her magical creature friends came out to play with her.
She giggled as she watched her Knarl, Porlock, and Fairy dance around her.
Though it all came to a halt when a cold breeze brushed past her. Her body shuddered at the sudden cold touch.
“How odd… Winter ended not too long ago, why is suddenly getting cold in the beginning of Spring,” she mumbled aloud. Her creature friends took note of this as well, huddling closer to her for warmth.
She gently hushed them and quickly made her way home where they could stay for a bit.
“Papa,” she called out as she walked inside. Her father popped his head out from the kitchen.
“Hello, baby girl. Is something wrong?” Kendrick can see the crease of worry in his daughter’s brows as her lips were pulled down in a small frown.
“I think there’s something wrong, Papa. The temperature outside seems to be getting colder for some reason… do you mind if Ash, Baron, and Lily stay here for awhile?” Kendrick cocked his head to the side upon hearing this. Of course he allowed the creatures to stay in their home.
It was the cold he was curious about.
Stepping outside with his daughter beside him, Kendrick let out a full body shiver. Gold eyes narrowed out of concern as he spotted dark snow clouds rapidly coming their way.
“This is no ordinary winter snow, baby girl. This has to be the work of a powerful Winter Sprite,” he informed as he quickly ushered his daughter inside again.
“Papa, there’s something different about this… it’s like I can feel loneliness and heartbreak mixed in with the magic,” Judith told her father. Kendrick rose a brow at this.
He always knew Judith was a sensitive soul, so to hear this was intriguing.
“I want to find the person behind this,” Judith said. Kendrick looked like he was ready to argue but stopped when his daughter hugged him.
“Please Papa. I promise I’ll be safe…” Kendrick frowned, slightly conflicted. He didn’t want his only child to get hurt, or worse, freeze at the hands of this Winter Sprite. But he know how determined his little girl was. She would probably sneak out on her own if he said no.
He let out a sigh.
“Fine. But you better stay safe, you hear?” The Spring Nymph nodded against her father’s chest before getting on her toes and placing a chaste kiss on his cheek.
“I will, Papa. I’ll be back soon…”
——————————
Talbott was trekking through the snow, watching his power cloak the world in ice and snow. The cold temperature didn’t faze him as it did the wild life around him. Magical creatures ran away from him to seek shelter from the bitter cold.
“Hey!” Talbott paused at the sound of a female voice calling out to him. He turned to see to a girl around his age.
Judging by her attire, she was a Spring Nymph.
‘A beautiful one at that...’ the Young Winter Sprite thought with narrowed eyes.
Still.
Just because this girl was one of the most stunning creatures he ever seen, he can’t find it within himself to get close to her.
“What?” Judith blinked at the harshness in the Winter Sprite’s tone. One of the first things she noted was how handsome the boy was, ever with his glaring red eyes...
“Please Winter Sprite, cease this journey for eternal cold.” Talbott’s lips formed a sneer as he let out a hollow laugh at the sound of her plea.
“And why should I do that, little Spring Nymph? I was left alone! My mother died bringing me into this world and my father joined her just days prior. I have nothing but this ice in my heart! And this world will feel the same as I,” The Winter Sprite snarled, stepping menacingly towards her.
Gold eyes widen at the ice flurry building in Talbott’s hand. Judith was quick to dodge his attack, wide eyes staring at the ice shard that now stood in her place.
“I don’t want to hurt you. I want to help! You can come and live with me and my father,” she said slowly as she saw the Winter Sprite charging another attack.
“I don’t want your pity. And I don’t wish to hurt you either... but I will if you continue to stand in my way,” he replied smoothly. Which was true. He didn’t want to hurt her at all.
Something about her felt right. Like if he were to be wrapped up in her arms and see her smile, he’d melt like an ice cube on a summer’s day.
But he feared growing attached to her. People in his life will always leave. His fragile heart couldn’t take another hit if he let her in and she did the same.
“I can’t let you freeze the world,” the girl said, pulsing green energy came to life in the palm in her hand.
Talbott gave a cold smirk.
“I would love to see you try to stop me, darling,” he chuckled.
And the battle begun.
------------------
“Come out, come out wherever you are, little Spring Nymph...” Judith could her the taunting sound of the Winter Sprite’s voice as she hid behind a tree.
She has no idea how long they’ve been fighting but she could feel the exhaustion being to set in.
Along with the biting cold surrounding her.
Her magic helped kept her warm enough to handle the cold but with her spending energy in putting up shields and attacking, she began to numbing cold. She wasn’t sure how long she could keep this up. She would have to escape and try to fight another-
She gasped with she felt a cold hand on her shoulder and was swiftly turned around to meet red eyes.
“Found you,” Talbott purred. Talbott had no idea why he made his presence known to the Spring Nymph.
He could’ve just froze her on the spot without her trying to fight back.
But he wanted to get closer for some reason.
He could smell the sweet fragrance coming from the flowers in her hair. Despite her shivering, he could still feel the gentle warmth radiating from her soft skin underneath his hand. Even with the panic in those pale gold eyes, they reminded him of the sun on a summer’s day.
Radiant and warm.
Judith could feel a blush steadying rising in her cheeks as the Winter Sprite seemed to being studying her face. With him even closer now, she could see his handsome features up close. His ombre hair was slicked back to reveal the sharp features of his face. The intense glare of those red eyes reminded Judith of thorny red roses.
Beautiful but harmful if you’re not careful.
Not even the frown on lips can hide their fullness. Judith licked her lips out of nervousness, which grew worse when Talbott’s eyes zeroed in on her’s.
‘They look as soft as the petals in in her hair... maybe even softer...’ Talbott silently mused to himself as he unconsciously leaned closer. Judith’s eyes fluttered closed as the Winter Sprite got closer. Both unsure where this was going but eager for the possibility nonetheless.
She could feel the coolness of his lips brush against her warm ones when the Winter Sprite was blasted away from her.
“Judith!” She gasped when a pair of arms scoop her up bridal style and she was carried away. Judging by the familiar warmth, her Papa found her.
Peeking over the man’s broad shoulder, she could see the glare being sent their way by the Winter Sprite.
As well as the hand touching his lips...
-------------------
Talbott didn’t appreciate the sudden attack from the towering man who seemingly came out of nowhere, stealing the little Spring Nymph away. While he never saw the man’s face, judging by same locs and skin tone, that man could’ve been her father.
Talbott couldn’t help but to rub his lips out of wonder.
He didn’t plan sharing the near kiss with the Spring Nymph, who he now knows goes by the name Judith. He acted out of impulse.
Something in him shattered with he caught the motion of her tongue wiping over her plump red lips.
He only wanted a taste. A taste of what being with her could mean.
He was no fool. He knew he couldn’t truly harm her like he threatened to do. Some small part of his frozen heart wouldn’t allow it. A small part that she thawed.
Despite his harshness towards her, she meant what she said. She didn’t want to hurt him. While he threw ice daggers and beams at her, she didn’t retaliate.
She mainly threw up shields to protect herself, aim her magic near him so the snow would engulf him or for her plants to grow in attempts to restrain him.
Talbott can see the kindness in her heart. After all, who offers their home to a stranger?
His hesitance to harm her and the almost kiss proved that he felt something towards her.
While he was still planning on cloaking the world in ice and snow, he was considering on making her his Queen.
He knew she felt the connection between them, she wouldn’t have gave into him so easily.
He would just have to find out how much...
Transforming into his Golden Eagle, he flew after the retreating pair.

Too Late for R-n-R Part 3
Tumblr media
Part 3
Mattie
I hated it. I absolutely hated it. My arm was in a cast, my leg was in a brace, I had to walk on crutches, and I wasn’t allowed anywhere near the ring. At all. Momma was adamant about that much at least.
There was nothing to do being stuck at all home day hardly able to do more than hobble from my room to the bathroom or living room. Plus, I was stuck at Papa’s house. I couldn’t even go across the patio to Dad’s. It sucked. So fucking hard.
“What’s got you looking so sour?” Papa said as he plopped down on the sofa, stretching out his leg. He was almost healed—he was already in physical therapy. I hated that too.
And I hated that I hated it. I wanted to cry because of it.
“I want to go back,” I whimpered, letting my head fall back against the cushions. “I hate it here.”
Papa groaned as he turned toward me. He looked sad. Kind of like he had that time when Dad left for a while. “You don’t mean that.”
My head pounded. I could feel my heartbeat beneath my cast. It made my stomach turn upside down. “I want to go back to Jacksonville. I don’t want to be here.”
“You’ll get back, Tea. I know you don’t think so now,” Papa said quietly. “It’s better to stay out and get healed up than go back to early and be out permanently.”
I tugged my blanket over my head and huffed. “You don’t understand.”
            “Mattie…”
“No! Just… leave me the fuck alone, Papa.” I wished I could storm out, go back to my room and slam the door. The sound would have been satisfying.
“Mattea Kourtney Jackson!” Papa shot up to his feet, yanking the blanket away from me, his voice deep and dangerous. It hit my ears and my gut, making me feel like I was going to puke. “Don’t you ever let me hear you say that again.”
“I’m nineteen,” I spat back, wishing I could stand up to him. I hated feeling like a little girl. Whenever Papa and Dad were around at shows, everyone treated me like I was five. Most of them had known me since the day I was born. It was hard enough to be taken seriously without my parents breathing down my neck. “Kenny and Adam say it all the time. So do Chuck and Trent and Cassidy and Mox…”
“I don’t care what they say, Mattie. You were raised better than that!” Papa was practically shouting. “Grandma Buck would pop you in the mouth for that.”
My chest ached as my heart thundered behind my ribs. I could feel my pulse slamming against the inside of my cast. My stomach turned sideways, and for the first time in a long time, I wanted to wail for my mom. I just wanted her.
“Why do you care?” I asked suddenly, not sure where the words came from.
Papa’s face turned red. “Because you’re my daughter!”
“No, I’m not!” I shouted, absolutely loathing the words the moment they came out of my mouth. I watched Papa’s face crumple. He sank onto the couch like someone had kicked his legs out from under him. His eyes were big and brown, vulnerable and hurt. And they were already spilling over with tears. “Papa… I…”
His jaw clenched. He settled one hand over his heart, and for a moment I was terrified that he was having a heart attack or something. “Mattie…” Papa’s voice was smaller than I’d ever heard it. Sadder than it had ever been, even when Dad was gone and Mama had been in tears for a week. “How could you…”
For a moment, he was completely silent. His hands fell into his lap and he stared at them. Tears slid down his cheeks and into his beard. It was the first time I noticed that it was going a little grey.
Matt
I’d had the air knocked out of me plenty of times in my life. But nothing compared to the ringing sound of Mattie shouting those words at me. It was like gravity fell apart and everything was going topsy turvy. There was a dull ache in my chest, like someone had punched a hole straight through. My gut felt like it was trying to crawl up my throat.
“I cut your chord… I held you the day you were born… I watched you come into this world…”
I wondered if she even heard the words. They were so quiet I barely heard them myself. Instead I was lost in memories of the little girl with dark brown hair and bright blue eyes that had stolen my heart the moment she’d let out her first wail. Bringing her home, pacing the floors as Nick and I tried not to wake Y/N with her crying, driving around and around the block to get her to sleep when she had colic. Those petrified months when she started to crawl, when I was obsessed with making sure she didn’t run into anything. Her first tottering steps, watching Nick and Y/N chase her through the yard. Trying so hard to build her swing set and her bicycle and her princess castle. Teaching her to swim.
Walking through Disneyland with her on my shoulders. Getting buried up to my knees in sand on the beach in Hawaii while she giggled and ran off to catch starfish and sand dollars. Agonizing days and nights when we had to be away from home on loops. Setting her off on her first day of school with her Beauty and the Beast backpack and her light up glitter sneakers.
My throat threatened to close. I could feel the tears running down my face, but I couldn’t catch a breath. That ache in my chest grew until it felt like that was all I knew.
Tumbling with her in the ring in the backyard. Teaching her those first few precious things. Helping her with her homework. Watching her paint and sketch, looking for all the world like my wife made over. Christmases and birthdays and Easters and dragging her out of bed at six AM to make breakfast for Y/N on Mother’s Day. Sitting around our picnic style dining table and talking about wrestling, Oreo sleeping on her feet. Watching her sob and curl into a ball after everything that happened at her school. Seeing the temporary loss of Nick break her heart like it had ours. Then following along as she opened up and bloomed in her co-op, in the ring.
I’d watched every moment of her existence, and I didn’t think I could love someone as much as I loved her and her brothers and sister. Mattie was my oldest, my firstborn, regardless of what the DNA test said. I’d always promised Y/N that… promised Nick that.
There’d been a moment of terror when Y/N told me what Mattie had wanted for her eighteenth birthday—to know who her birth father was. My wife had taken me aside and told me, so I wouldn’t be blindsided when it happened. And God knew, I’d dreaded the moment that Mattie would look at me and see someone other than her Papa.
Now that the moment had come, I couldn’t bear it. The pain rocketed through me, radiating out from that excruciating cavern behind my ribs. This is what it feels like, I thought, staring dumbly at my hands, this is what it feels like to have a broken heart.
“Mattie…” I said her name, and it felt like knives stabbing me in the back. How could I have lost my little girl so completely?
A noise made me look up. Maybe it was the nineteen years of listening for her every breath and whine and cry that made me hear the whimper that she tried to hide behind her cast. She’d pulled herself to the edge of the sofa and was slowly scooting her way over to me. Her eyes—blue like my brother’s—were full of sadness and regret. Her lip trembled the way it always did when she was about to burst into tears.
I saw her for an instant as she had been at three. Dark curls and wide eyes, clutching an elephant in one hand and Nick’s ponytail with the other as we told her that he and I were going to Japan for a month. And that she couldn’t come with us. Her bottom lip had trembled, those sapphire eyes had turned glassy, and she’d cried so hard and so long that she made herself sick and we missed our flight.
“I’m sorry, Papa,” she said softly. The sound of her voice shattered my heart just then. It was the sound she’d made when she told us about the girls at school. About the bruises on her arms and the taunts the kids yelled at her in the halls.
My next words came out before I had a chance to think about them. “You’re the one who gave me that name.”
Mattie
My knee hurt so bad as I pulled myself down the sofa toward Papa. I’d never wanted to take words back as badly as I wanted to take back telling him I wasn’t his daughter. I hated myself for making him look so sad.
His words thumped me in the chest. They were wistful, a little bit sad with a tinge of nostalgic happiness.
            “I did?”
Papa looked over at me, a smile spreading over his face. “You did. We were sitting on the sofa in Dad’s house. You were all wrapped up in one of his Clippers shirts—” He stopped and let out a laugh. “He was determined that you’d be like him. You didn’t have blankets as a baby. You had Nick’s old Clippers gear. But this one was your favorite.”
I knew exactly which one he meant. It was folded up in the bottom of my gear bag. The image was faded into almost nothing on the front and the fabric was worn thin in places.
“I had you right here,” he said, pantomiming holding something against his chest. “Dad was making you laugh and Mama came in. Before you were born, she decided what you’d grow up calling us.” He leaned in, a smile on his face that only showed up when he talked about Mama. “Nick and I didn’t like them, but you know how we are with your mom. I sat you up on my lap and Dad told you to pick which of us was Papa.”
He stopped, and I couldn’t help but drag myself further over the sofa to put my head against his shoulder. His chest hitched. “And you… you leaned against my chest. Just like that…” Papa reached up and put his hand on the side of my head. “I don’t care that I’m not your biological father, Mattie. You’re my daughter. I’ve loved you with every breath in my body since the second you came into the world. A piece of paper doesn’t change that. Not for me.
“Do you still… think of me like…”
I hugged him as tightly as I could. I wished harder than I’d ever wished in my life that I could take back everything I said to him.
“I didn’t think you…” I whispered against his shoulder. “Not knowing that Dad was…”
It shocked me when Papa started laughing. He wrapped his arm around me and grinned. “How can you not be my daughter? You’re as stubborn and sometimes stupid just like me.”
I hid my face against his shoulder just like I’d done my whole life. “You’re my Papa. And I’m your Tea.”

No limits in Pop Music
Lately I've been exploring a lot of new music specially pop music and to my surprise there's little or really there isnt a limit what defines pop music in this age I want to talk about to artists that I've enjoyed a lot lately. First one is Rina Sawayama a japanese-brittish artist that I discovered because her music video XS the music style of her debut album SAWAYAMA explores metal sounds mixed with her own style and I think this mix of genres makes something really enjoyable to the fans. I remember listening to XS and thinking when I was 12 or so and enjoyed Papa Roach because I liked the theme song of WWE's show Raw. The whole album SAWAYAMA is a journey that I feel every music enthusiast will enjoy.
The second artist that I've been listening to is Halsey, Halsey is an american pop artist and this year 2021 she made her 4th full length album If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power. I expected the album to sound like a pop album but to my surprise the sounds were a little dark to what I was thinking and really enjoyed the twist on pop. I've read that on a interview Halsey said that she wanted to make a pop album that sounded more industrial and she worked on this album with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails so they definetly nailed the Industrial pop sound.
Well that's all I have for now hope you give this albums a listen and that you enjoy em.

Mort de Daniel Johnston : l'hommage de Rolling Stone
Tumblr media

Week 12! Commanders:
2 Erebos, God of the Dead 2 Purphoros, God of the Forge 2 Maga, Traitor to Mortals 1 The Scarab God 1 Mayael the Anima 1 Samut, Voice of Dissent 1 Yasova Dragonclaw 1 Daretti, Scrap Savant 1 Hazezon Tamar 1 Nekusar, the Mindrazer
Color Wheel:
Tumblr media
40.00% Black 28.00% Red 16.00 Green 8.00% White 8.00% Blue
Tumblr media
Pod 1 Game 1:
Jonathan - Samut, Voice of Dissent Patrick - Purphoros, God of the Forge Billy - Daretti, Scrap Savant
Patrick managed to get Papa Purp out on turn 3, which meant the damage came early and fast. Before we knew it we were already in our 20s. I as Daretti had a good number of mana rocks on the field but my hand was empty, so I wheeled into a new one, which unfortunately, screwed Jonathan.
He was holding Bane of Progress, ready to RUIN our day.
Around turn 7 I managed to get Metalworker out crossing my fingers it would live since I had 5 artifacts in hand.
The table made it’s rounds, I went down to 17 life thanks to Purp, Jonathan knew Metalworker was a threat, but didn’t have a means to kill it.
Daretti’s turn came around, I drew into Staff of Domination, made infinite amounts of mana, pulled Planar bridge from the graveyard to search for Walking Ballista and finish everyone off.
Had the Bane of Progress went off, I would have been dead in the water and I have no doubt that’d either Samut or Purp would have taken the game.
After this quick first game, Steven popped in and played his first league game and just wrecked us with Maga and killing Patrick with Commander damage.
Pod 1 Game 2:
Dustin - Erebos, God of the Dead Kevin - The Scarab God Trent - Nekusar, the Mindrazer
Trent tried several group thug effects such as Scrambleverse and other wild cards, but Kevin kept him in check from doing such. This sadly, meant while Kevin was keeping Trent in check with his counterspells, allowed Erebos to bring down the hammer and put some beats on.
In the end, Erebos eliminated Trent first, then sought for his blood offering from Kevin second to grab the win.
POD 2 - Game 1
Patrick - Purphoros, God of the Forge Steven - Maga, Traitor to Mortals Billy - Hazezon Tamar
HA, so yeah, this game went well for two people and definitely not me (Hazezon). Somehow I got mana screwed and by the time I had a way to net land (Sylvan Library) I was at half life due to Purp being out and beating me down.
Steven got a great amount of mana out and even had the ability to destroy one of my paltry two lands with his Wasteland should he had felt so inclined.
But he was merciful.
Until...
I was at 20 life when Steven cast bubbling muck, cabal coffered, and then Strionic Resonatored his mana to make a nice  pool of 21 black mana.
He cast Exsanguinate for 19 nearly killing Patrick and putting me to 1 life... I’m like... okay! I’m alive and still have a chance. No.
Patrick decides he’s tired of popping me for 2 so he REVERBERATES the Exsanguinate and I end up taking Lethal.... dying horribly, a cold, lifeless sand husk.
Tumblr media
Yeah... you like that amateur work above. That’s right... Cringe art people! xD
Shortly after my death, Patrick followed and together we became desiccated husks.
Tumblr media
Allison - 'Oh, gentle Irish eyes, tussled brown hair, smile as big as my favorite teddy-bear-that's a bit corny, I might take it out or I might leave it in, hehe-without you, I am just a husk-
Roy - I'm sorry-er-a-a husk? Allison - Yeah. Roy - ...Uh huh Allison - Without you, I am just a husk...' Allison's poem for Roy: IT Crowd
Steven took the win with Maga.
POD 2 - Game 2
Dustin - Erebos, God of the Dead Kevin - Mayael the Anima Jonathan - Yasova Dragonclaw
Dustin, like myself, found no mana in his second game as Erebos. So he mostly sat there and watched Yasova and Mayael battle it out.
Although Erebos lasted longer than I did, Kevin with Mayael had ramped into MIGHTY creatures. I’m talking a fat board state with indestructible creatures (thanks to Avacyn) that Jonathan Reins of Powered to NEARLY kill Kevin in one turn.
Had it been a three person game, Kevin might have been lower on life and died from the Reins of Power (great card), but it only dropped Kevin into the single digits and allowed for his next turn to fully swing and kill everyone.
POINTS:
Steven - 11 Points +1 for commander dmg Dustin - 9 Points Kevin - 9 Points Patrick - 9 Points +1 for cool play Jonathan - 8 Points Billy - 8 Points Trent - 3 Points
Mr. Mike played some janky games later in the evening for 8 points all together, so I went ahead and added his points below.
Overall Points:
Dustin - 89 Points
Steven - 88 Points
Billy - 86 Points
Kevin - 82 Points
Patrick - 76 Points
Mr. Mike - 57 Points
Juston - 53 Points
Jonathan - 47 Points
Rachel - 22 Points
Tim - 28 points
Aaron - 19 Points
Taylor - 17 Points
James - 14 Points
Luke - 13 Points
Trent - 3 Points (he only played the one game)
Overall I felt the play of the game and the card (and giving Patrick an extra point for it because it caused lethal and was neat) was the Reverberate onto the Exsanguinate.
Tumblr media
So we have December left in the Fall league and it’s looking like we may get 2-3 weeks of play out of the month. SOOOOOOOOO Who will it be!?!? Steven is right on Dustin’s heels!
See y’all this weekend!

Danielle & Mitch's English/Spanish Grand Tradition Estate Wedding
Danielle & Mitch's English/Spanish Grand Tradition Estate Wedding
Of all the San Diego Latin DJs calling the 619 home, Danielle & Mitch chose me to DJ and MC their English/Spanish Grand Tradition Estate Wedding on Friday, January 18, 2019. The following write-up is based on San Diego DJ Staci’s crazy organized & detailed outline for this Grand Tradition Estate wedding. The ceremony was at Compass Garden waterfall. Cocktails were at the Orchid Bar. DJ service began with dinner.

GRAND TRADITION ESTATE WEDDING FLOOR PLAN
This is a problematic floor plan in which the guests seated in front of the DJ get deafened during dinner, impedes the DJ’s visibility of center stage (making it difficult to know when the cake cutting is done & the song should be faded, for example), and makes the volume on the dance floor quieter. None of the guests seated at table 16 sat down to eat dinner–the table was completely empty all night. The DJ/MC can do his/her best work when placed on the edge of the dance floor.

CHIODO BROS. /20
