Jorgen’s usually not the one in charge of assigning godchildren. There’s an entire department that weighs and classifies potentail Godkids to the right Fairy. Although it’s on strike at the moment.

If you ever find yourself in the position of living in the home of a parent who is disabled and requires full-time care and you are their primary caregiver for at least 2 years, and they intend to leave their assets to you after they pass, make sure to transfer ownership of their assets, home/land in your name ASAP...or they will require you to pay back any benefits received and claim those assets even out from under you, as soon as your loved one passes. This is yet another way that generational assets /wealth are easily taken out of marginalized communities. It is a loan.

Decided to add context. I don't like to talk about it here, because ehh, social media is for my vapid entertainment thoughts for me. It's a hobby/getaway/ place to get semi-social with strangers and online friends with shared interests, but I don't want anyone else to go through what I am... Of course, this applies specifically to the U.S.'s broken healthcare system. So, for those who don't know, my mom passed recently. I am an only child with no siblings or children. My whole life during that time was 24/7 care. She had insurance, but it wasn't enough to cover everything that she needed, so Medicaid was the obvious solution, right? The government takes care of our disabled elderly who have worked until retirement, right? It seemed like the routine thing to do, I had never heard anything during the process about having to pay it back,but sure enough, less than 12 weeks after her passing, I was hit with a warning (which I followed up on and was told I would NOT be charged because of my caregiver status) and then 2 weeks later the "bill". The lady I spoke to, totally changed her attitude from the first time I spoke to her to the point where I felt scammed. Out came a patronizing voice certain people use with children, that measured whiny thing (it's always a red-flag to me and makes me instantly dislike you if you do this even with kids, btw... speak to kids like PEOPLE). I feel like an idiot. I have been doing this for over a decade and didn't think to transfer any assets of hers during that time because it *was* hers. I wanted her to feel as empowered about that as possible.

Not a single soul said I should transfer those assets to keep this from happening and now I'm facing down what feels like some kind of weird conspiracy to take the land and house.

FYI, there have been weird inquiries, the census came to mark down my mother's death literally *immediately* after she passed...and odd timing called the day of the notice to "help", with all the southern Christian signifiers (bless your heart we'll be praying for you).... It feels so seedy. Anyway, all this to say if you find yourself in a similar position....

TRANSFER THOSE ASSETS INTO YOUR NAME 2 years into caregiving or they will take them from you, house etc..

I'm sorry for so much inactivity throughout the months- I have actually not felt very proud of my identity in a while, and it's a just become a less major part of me. I still identify the same but because of events in my life I haven't been inclined to celebrate it, and discussions surrounding these sorts of things are just not a huge thing in my life anymore. I had experienced major loss and had been going through it when I made this blog, I guess it slowly changed that part of me that felt open and proud of my orientation. I had been going more and more back into the closet at school. I've given up on a lot of things as time passes because I've lost energy for a lot of my hobbies and interests. maybe this will change if my life improves, but this is just how it's been. I'll still reblog posts occasionally for now but currently I just don't have the mental space to make in depth posts or discuss these things

I’m in no rush to produce the demo, dw!

- I’ve rough drafted about 45% of the planned demo

- the demo has been created in renpy

Though the game is currently on hold for a couple of reasons:

My unreliable pc

I aim for there to be three lengthy in game days for the demo, as for the amount of days overall in the game, that is still undecided.

Before I can pick up development of the game again, I’ve got to upgrade my computer. That’s the biggest reason I’ve put the game on pause, my pc sometimes shuts off mid session- it just straight up black screens and will not turn on again for a while. So once i’m able to save up and upgrade, that will no longer be a concern for developing the actual game.

For now I’m just writing what i can in my phone to keep on track with what I have in mind for days 1~3 :)

I haven't been able to draw for a while (and won't be able to) so I thought to squeeze this in tonight!

Also heres an update bc I'm not going to be active for a while again: (Warning: Slightly ventish? Just complaining about my education system)

I finished my last formal day at school and now all that is left is exams. I may or may not upload until the mid/end of November as I need to crunch study HARD. Exams can either break or make your ATAR (final score to apply for University courses). You could be an A+ student, expecting an ATAR of 90+ then do shit on the exams and get a 70 ATAR, these final exams really sway the final number and I want to do well.

It sucks though because I'm literally competing with every other yr 12 in my state. The system determines your score by how well other students are doing around you, not by how YOU do individually. What's worse is that there is a clear disadvantage, private schools are funded from the government more than public schools AND they pretty much get to choose their teachers (aka the good ones). I'm in a public school, practically teaching myself 5 out of my 6 subjects because there are a limited amount of teachers, therefore we're given new teachers who were legit student teachers the year before. ALSO our school department rolled out brand new study designs which no one knows how to teach yet. There are no examples to refer to, the study design is unclear and I'm having to relearn things as unit 1/2 doesn't apply in 3/4 anymore! It's a shit position and I know many of my classmates feel the same anguish and stress. Legit all we can do is just "study more". Wish us luck o7
