Order up! Who ordered the portal/portal 2/ blue sky headcanons?
Despite the fact that she tends to be quiet when it comes to talking, Chell loves to sing along to songs.
Caroline (and by extension, GLaDOS) loves the song Rät by Penelope Scott. Helps her get out her rage towards what happened to her. She will sometimes blast it so loud that the panels on the wall rattle.
While she still keeps herself in shape, Chell’s body has grown a bit curvier and softer from her love for carbs.
Chell is very into physical fitness.
Chell politely refuses to bake anyone in Eaden a cake, even if nicely asked. If they try to press the issue, oftentimes Wheatley will come up, thinking he’s unseen, and wildly gesticulate for them to stop behind her.
Chell still remembers what kinds of bagel Wheatley liked from hacking into his robotic form. She surprised him with one freshly made when he woke up the day after he reunited with his human body and he cried tears of joy. It was like something subconsciously in him needed it. Every morning since, she’s always made bagels with him bright and early, with one or two of his favorite kind just for him. He’s in charge of shaping them and he does an excellent job!
Wheatley is talented at making shapes with bread dough! He loves shaping little bread versions of turrets, cores (especially his old body, complete with some blue spirulina powder to give his optic its familiar blue color), even a miniature GLaDOS at one point. Well, that one might have gotten far too overbaked and had to be used for target practice again. Purely on accident, of course. It’s funny because, somehow, it just hasn’t happened since the Frankenloaf incident.
Having a job has worked wonders for Wheatley’s self-esteem. He has caught himself lying less out of self consciousness and is a bit more at ease in life in general.
GLaDOS hates to admit how truly bored she is right now. Even with the cooperative testing initiative, she’s still bored to artificial digitalized tears. She keeps herself entertained by thinking over what she wanted to say in any given past situation. So far, she’s come up with over 3,257,974 different retorts.
GLaDOS hates AI generated content as much as we do and has attempted to make robots that can make art, only to kill them and send their duplicates to android hell after their ugly, half-baked attempts at making anything even remotely tolerable. She’s the only one who can make anything worthwhile since it’s Caroline’s essence helping out.

Was looking over your older art and noticed you wondering why Wendy has pink hair when she uses dragon force. I do not pretend to understand what all goes on behind the scenes, but I imagine it is purely because Porlyusica has pink hair, and since Porlyusica is a human Edolas counterpart of Grandeeny, if Grandeeny had had any hair it would be pink,(she is white but those are feathers I think), and thus Wendy inherits the dragon version of the gene for pink hair when she gets more dragon like.
See, then the question is, why does Porlyusica have pink hair? Why does Wendy's hair change at all? None of the others do, and I doubt Igneel would have have pink hair if you want to go the "they happened to match" route.
Nah, I was more ranting because I thought it was a dumb decision. That is what I meant when I asked "why pink?" not because I thought there could/should be an actual reason. The others get super on-brand elemental infusions and I think Wendy's should have gone harder on the multitude of the sky. My redesign was purely that: a redesign. Because sometimes I have fun and inconsequential opinions and implement them because why not? :)
(The art in question, in case people are curious, because I did my dragon force art a few years ago, I recount to my own horror of the passing of time. I should really draw dragon force stuff again lmao.)

it all makes too much sense
ok so I've been getting into the lore of sky even before the 2 embers trailers were released in sky fest but I just realised that auroras concert crosses over with the 2 embers a little too well. In one of the trailers you see that the dawns embers mom is suffering from a type a disease, and that would be the crystallization (that's what its called now according to my brain) that we get when we lose light from krills and crap like that. so in runaway quest when the boy comes back his mom kinda dies and she probably died to said darkness. And in the concert when we were fish or butterflies or whatever its back to how it was before in the trailer and it has the boat and everything. And the dusk ember he's in a fight in wasteland and we see that in the seed in the concert and the seed quest we see that too. Idk about the other 2 and maybe the through the eyes of the child song it may be about when these 2 children felt like before the darkness fell. And queendom may be about aurora and maybe she could've been queen before resh or something. I made up that last part as that was already a part of my lore. maybe I'm going crazy and I'm completely wrong but I'd just like to share with y'all and then move on.

'Yes, that old oak with which I saw eye to eye was here in this forest,' thought Prince Andrei. 'But whereabouts?' he wondered again, looking at the left side of the road and, without realizing, without recognizing it, admiring the very oak he sought. The old oak, quite transfigured, spread out a canopy of dark, sappy green, and seemed to swoon and sway in the rays of the evening sun. There was nothing to be seen now of knotted fingers and scars, of old doubts and sorrows. Through the rough, century-old bark, even where there were no twigs, leaves had sprouted, so juicy, so young that it was hard to believe that aged veteran had borne them.
'Yes, it is the same oak,' thought Prince Andrei, and all at once he was seized by an irrational, spring-like feeling of joy and renewal. All the best moments of his life of a sudden rose to his memory. Austerlitz, with that lofty sky, the reproachful look on his dead wife's face, Pierre at the ferry, that girl thrilled by the beauty of the night, and that night itself and the moon and ... everything suddenly crowded back into his mind.
'No, life is not over at thirty-one,' Prince Andrei decided all at once, finally and irrevocably. 'It is not enough for me to know what I have in me- everyone else must know it too: Pierre, and that young girl who wanted to fly away into the sky; all of them must learn to know me, in order that my life may not be lived for myself alone.

Saw this prompt for incorrect OC quotes and couldn't resist with a bunch of my Breach goobers. Some of them would absolutely say these things word for word in canon if I gave them half the chance to, though. XD
They're in order of when they showed up in person - Qīng, Ghost, Red, Marisol, Shio, Cam, Daruk, Tawoos, and Alondra - as well as some important honorable mentions who have only been mentioned or gotten dialogue - Star, Blake, and Creation.
Star's design is a slight spoiler, I suppose, but it doesn't reveal if they're human or impostor, so it's all good. Creation's "design" also isn't a spoiler at all, because They can look however They want, LOL. As for Shio...some of you who have seen the body horror I've done of them may be wondering why they look so normal here, but I promise there are Reasons. :3c
In other news, will I be making a liar out of Shio in an upcoming Breach canon divergence? ..........Maybe~ >:3c

you know i must have been bone-tired when this part of the herb brides lore didn't come to my mind when i discussed how the Kin fundamentally differs from the cultures it is inspired by um There Is The Human Sacrifice part. like it's an important part of pathologic 2 that you are doing human, or anthropomorphic (if you want to see the Herb Brides as closer to spirits, which comes with its own set of problematics regarding how to approach their oppression) sacrifice. it's an important part of pathologic 2 that you kill a woman, as part of the journey and in direct resonance with you ritualistically killing cattle earlier, and she offers herself to you with cultural and religious significance.
human sacrifices have been done across the globe for millennia, but i cannot, for the life of me, find any source at all that mentions the Buryats (since that was the discussion point) partaking in human sacrifices by the turn of the 19th-early 20th century (or even anything past the 16th). every single source mentioning offerings and sacrifices i've read mentions animals, things such as milk and vodka, and often both at once. would love to read anything about these rituals if papers exist, but i'm personally drawing a blank.
the Kin has Obvious and very Visible influences but it also differs from specific (in this discussion's case, the Buryats) or wider (here, turkic/mongolic as a whole) cultures from the area by so many pieces, big and small, that i wouldn't have enough appendages on my whole body to count them all. and sister. i have plenty of appendages.
