I have some thoughts in my mind lately in the Self aware au R1999 (I'm invested so badly), I was wondering are there any arcanist that resented the player maybe at first or still having resentment on them? Because if the player wasn't there they would be " free " (which I would doubt since there are many players and it would still happen nonetheless but just speaking from there perspective) did they just helplessly or casually got over it after some time and accepted the fact it was a game I mean they were levelled up by the player,the player was the reason why they were getting stronger and winning every battle but I have a feeling some arcanist would have some doubt in them since everything was just a script in the first place all the things that happened to them were meant to happen for the plot, I don't about how to reach when they find out that the player was a human though.. your question is very broad, so I can only make a quick list to categorize all the characters and how I think they'd feel overall towards the Player within this AU! since you only mentioned arcanist, I assume you mean the playable characters only, so that's also the group I'll be tackling

I don't have a good grasp on every single character, so some of these are subject to change as I learn more about them too o7

It's very, very complicated.

Vertin. Door. Mesmer Jr. Bkornblume. I consider these characters to be "outliers" in terms of how they perceive the Player--in the sense that their opinion fluctuates and varies a lot, so they cannot be easily labeled in any of the other categories. They're contradicting or find themselves at odds with themselves, seeing the figure of the Player and everything the Player represents as positive and negative influences simultaneously. To them, you're a close friend and a distant stranger, a saviour and a harbinger of ruin, a source of knowledge and the end of everything--you're all of these, all at once.

as for the rest, I only described the opposite ends of the spectrum and the neutral category!

"But these two will get in our way," the sorrowful demon says as he launches an attack from his spear. "Get down!" you yell as you put your hands over Nezuko and Tanjiro's heads and push their bodies to the ground so they don't get hit. As you push them away, you deflect the attack with your katana. "Damn it, Aizetsu, you could've hurt her!" Sekido yells. "How many of these damn demons are there?!" You sorta yell in confusion and frustration "I don't know but all I know is if you cut one of their heads off they will split into more demons" Tanjiro warns, but you just cut off the head of Urogi now you probably made more of them, all of a sudden Urogi grabs you by your leg, and flies away with you "KANJIRA!!!" Tanjiro tries to grab your hand, but he can't reach you in time. "Sorry about this, sweetheart~." Urogi opens his mouth wide, and his mouth starts glowing. You were screwed. "Oh shit," the yellow energy bursts into loud soundwaves, and your hearing is just gone. You lost consciousness and began falling onto tree branches. After falling for a while, you regained consciousness as you hit the ground. "God damn it!" you exclaimed, struggling to get up. Your back was hurting like hell. "I've got to get up," you think to yourself. "I can't hear anything anymore!!!" You were about to get up when all of a sudden Urogi got on top of you making you unable to move "Wow you're even cuter up close cutie I can see why my counterparts have interest in you" he gets closer to your face and licks your cheek "oh my you taste so sweet darling~" his talons goes down to your waist now (MY MANNNNN!!)

Meanwhile with Tanjiro and Nezuko:

"Aww! Urogi took our cute girl. No fair, I wanted her first!" Karaku whines with a frown on his face, and the frown on his face turns into a sadistic smile. "But that's okay. Once we're done with these brats, we can have our time with her!!" Karaku exclaims with excitement in his tone" "Tch will you stop whining like a bitch already?! Like you said, if we kill these wastes of space, we can get to her!!!" Sekido complains "I already told you," Tanjiro says with clear anger and annoyance in his voice as he slowly gets up from being unconscious. "YOU WON'T TAKE MY SISTER AWAY!!!" Tanjiro screams at them with full rage, but the demons don't care. They are going to have you no matter what.

Karaku was about to attack Tanjiro, but he and Sekido were shot with a bullet aimed at their necks. Which blew their heads off. Their heads regenerated in a fast amount of time "HOW MANY OF THESE PESKY HUMANS ARE THERE?!" Sekido growls in anger (as usual) "Genya?" Genya jumped down from where he was standing and grabbed his sword. He was about to stab one of the demons, but Aizetsu came and stabbed him in his chest. "You're so weak it's sad really" Aizetsu pitied Genya with a little bit of sass

(Nezuko and Karaku)

"Hahahahahaaaa, keep trying. You're almost there, little one!!" Karaku teases Nezuko as she tries to fight him off. "Tch quit fucking playing around, and finish her off already, Karaku!!!" Sekido says as he's fighting with Tanjiro, "I'm not gonna waste my time on you for a long, little girl, but your sister, on the other hand, is worth it *laughs manically*" Karaku kicks his foot into Nezuko's chest and breaks her arm. Nezuko managed to kick Karaku's chin hard, took his fan, and made him fly far away. Tanjiro is still fighting with Sekido. While they're still fighting, Karaku is in the air, and he destroys the building and makes Nezuko and Tanjiro fall with the building, and they are now unconscious...

"Now we just wait for the fog to lift so we can finish them off!!" "Tch forget about them they're probably not even alive!! Aizetsu, get your ass over here we're going to get that girl with Urogi!!" "Yay!! Now we can finally have our fun time with her~"

(Also I don't know where the tf Genya was when Karaku destroyed the building in the anime so that's why I didn't really mention him in this part)

Yeah but we don't know if knowing what to do with other characters was because she knew or because she winged it xD. Again because of the argument I mentioned that she obviously didn't know what to do. Also it's interesting take, but it just hit me that the characters you mentioned with whom she knew what to do happen to have several similarities to Vertin, hence why I think she could indeed know what she was doing with them. Druvis is a loner, she had expressed how her only place was the forest, that this is what she wanted to protect etc. In a way Vertin too doesn't know where she belongs but she too has sth to protect. Her knowing what to do in that case comes from relatability. She did what she probably wish others did for her. Jessica is another loner. One completely cut out from the world at first. All she knew was the forest around the lake and Blonney. She too tried to attack everyone cause she wanted to keep Blonney close and protect her too. So I feel that with her too, Vertin acted based on relatability. Schneider. She didn't know what to do at first, she didn't even know where Schneider stood. When she saw her hesitation and realized she was doing all she did because she had no choice, but still wanted to protect her sister, it comes back down to "where is my place in this world, where do i belong". She too sailed alone, but she would still do anything to protect the one thing she knew mattered to her, her sisters. And having Manus controlling her and forcing her hand also hits close to Vertin. Cause she has never been that into the ways of the Foundation. And sometimes she has to find loophole after loophole to help everyone without the Foundation harming or taking things and rights from other arcanists. Vertin is not free. She is given power so I think she still feels trapped. That's why everything went down with the voting while she was sleeping and even Lilya helped. Finally you mentioned Regulus. Regulus is very similar to the rest but responds differently to her not feeling no place like home. She doesn't want one. She liked to sail around in her little ship and all that mattered to her was that ship, her records and Mr. Apple. Perhaps Vertin sees Regulus as someone she aspires to be; more open and carefree, effusive with emotions and without caring so much where she is and with whom. I don't know Vertin knew what to do with her. Cause she literally just asked her to trust her. She didn't need much to be convinced xD. Especially after seeing the world around her melt with her own eyes. I remember she was a bit hesitant at first but after the world started going crazy she was like oh hell nah, take me away big hatted girl! xD So yeah it could be that she naturally knew what she was doing in those occasions as you say, it could be simply cause relating to those people was easier than say Spathodea oooor she winged it xD. Like perhaps having seen similar people in her youth and how they were handled by teachers and learnt. Also I think we shouldn't ignore that Foundations kids did learn a lot about teamwork and politics at their school. We can imagine it from how the rest of them speak, like look how Z almost turnt everyone to her side and Sonetto, even though scared, she did speak up in a very professional way in support of that dude in court. So Vertin's debating skills ought to be good enough based on her studies, even if she wasn't the best student among her peers.

Yup. Shamane is sb who tried to deal with things as an adult and indeed didn't have all the answers. In fact, his doubts were still there due to unresolved trauma and the answer, funny enough, came from the smallest kid among everyone. I loved how Kanjira woke him up. Because Kanjira grew up in the streets, she learnt from the hardships of life from a very young age and had no standards to fit in. Shamane was like a caged bird, he couldn't speak up for the longest time. So sb had to tell him that it's ok to do some things that for years he thought weren't ok because of his childhood brainwashing. Also kids tend to be more fearless so, he needed to remember how to take risks. This is also very true to life. The more we grow up, most people tend to "cower down". They could be the wildest kids in their youth but due to having to follow more rules and not really risk stuff after becoming adults, they forget how it's like taking chances and even grow fearful of them.

I see what you mean about SPDM kids.

I unfortunately don't know much about the anecdotes. Due to playing the game in front of a crowd for youtube, i tend to play them only when i record and because the limited events take most of my time I've only done Charlie's and Oliver's so far. Out of the two only Oliver's had an interaction with Vertin and even then she didn't push anything. It was Mr. Knight that pushed Oliver see the truth and face his grief for what it trully was. I can't think of a moment Vertin was more like you mention in the suitcase so feel free to give me an example.

About the meta take, I'm afraid I'll have to disagree because, the limited events are pretty much stuff that co-exist with the main story, they aren't as separate as anecdotes are, so while she doesn't take center stage, her being there was important enough I think to interfere. And even if it was so, even if it was because she is not supposed to take the spotlight, why didn't Ulu and Desert say anything. Desert had many lines and she's a sassy one too but didn't interfere. I have my thoughts why, but I don't think it was to let them cool off. I see. Well I don't think it would have worked without her though I dunno. For example in Kaalaa's story it didn't make sense for her to be there so she wasn't, same for the current patch. The Uluru stadium had to be checked by high ranked arcanists because it seems to be immune to the storm, so if not Vertin, I think some Laplace arcanist or Sonetto would have been sent to check it out. So yeah while she was there to connect things only, I think she could have stopped the argument or just intervened without really taking the spotlight. In fact, I think that if there was no reason for her staying quiet, I think she shouldn't even be in the room in that moment. She could have been outside dealing with I dunno some paperwork or contacting the Hat character again.

I see. Just to clarify, I don't think Vertin is kind out of naivity. You didn't say that of course, I am just clarifying that's not where I see naivity in her. She has always been super kind so it's part of her personality I think.

Yeah but if you notice many of the arcanists on her side rn aren't that strong. For example Laplace arcanists are with her for their brains, not their powers. Sonetto is there cause she was assigned to her as sb the Foundation thinks is a good pet and if Vertin went berserk she would let them know (good one cause she is now attached to her compared to when she was a child but ok xD) etc etc. She would have had an army still but not for as many different things she needs them now.

Well Sonetto and Mathilda were in the same class so if she and Mathilda aren't 19 they are both 14 which doesn't make sense for them both to be graduated students of the Foundation and with the little medal they wear too. (The game says sth about it and being a top student in Mathilda's character page) Also when Vertin was preparing to leave the Foundation with the little group of kids, we had a visual of her talking with both Sonetto and Mathilda and well, they didn't seem as young as they should be if we really accepted they are currently 14. I don;t remember the exact ages rn, but let's say Vertin was 16 when the kids got out to the storm. If Vertin's age difference with the other two was 5 years, they would have been 11 years old back then....well they all looked like babies to me xD but we know that short hair Sonetto was a kid kid, and long hair Sonetto, but shorter height was a teen. So yeah based on the visuals and how things transpired I think they are the same age, aka so are Mathilda and Mesmer Jr.

Yup I agree about what you said about Vertin working better from inside the Foundation. And how if they were older it would add more depth. But in general, I think, they are not trying as hard with Vertin as they try with others. She is still a bit of your typical main character in a story with many other characters. At least so far that is, she might change in the future and have way more depth but so far she doesn't openly show us a lot of depth compared to others. She is mostly there experiencing everyone's stories and slowly finding herself. I see. We will agree to disagree there because like I said in my previous reply Vertin and several others, not all of them, do add a bit more fragility to things by being young and inexperienced. I would trust an experienced adult character more than I trust Vertin or other young kids doing things. Like Sotheby's stories greatly amuse me but every time she's about to take sth into her hands I am like "please don't mess it up. ;;" but she's very lucky in all her clumsiness and it always works out in the end. xD

...yeah i can't answer that, I come from a country that kids drink from ages 12-14 and it isn't a problem. xD They don't let you get drunk but you can get access to it xD. As for punishing her like an adult, excuse me but I wouldn't consider the Foundation very child-friendly xD. This is not a factor for thought to me, that's because the Foundation is corrupted as fuck. They literally let rebelling kids go out in the storm as punishment for disobeying. There is no logic or reasoning to that to base anything off of it, so please don't do this to your brain xD. The rest yeah, are very young adult coded in how people treat her. But let's be real, every big head in the Foundation treats others as small brainless animals that all they have to do is obey so yeah, even there I wouldn't focus too much on her age, but on their being narcissistic bastards.

One thing I'd change about Reverse 1999.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder why Vertin and the others are so young. It's like the anime problem where they're so reluctant to use young adults/adults even though it'd make more sense in terms of immersion. Or they make a character look young but they're actually very old.

Tooth Fairy is 25! I read her as at least 28-30ish. To put that into perspective, Blonney is 20 and Horrorpedia is 21 which I can see. They made Zima 29 so I know it's possible!

From a story standpoint, I read Vertin as at least 19, and that's including the trauma that forced her to be the mature and stoic Timekeeper. Her charisma, ability to travel the world on her own, and experience in the field made me think of one who is old enough to deal with problems but not quite at the level where they have all the answers. Also her travels and sneaking around in places she shouldn't be would be easier if she's older. For example, more job opportunities, the ability to get a license etc. 19 is a transitional stage where she's both a kid and adult. Although, you could say this about a 16yo Vertin too but it feels...different. like a different type of transition happens during these ages but I can't put my finger on it.

Idk if I can really put this feeling into words because that's all it is really. Certain characters ages don't "feel" right.

On a completely unrelated note, I want an arcanist that looks like your stereotypical witch with a point hat and black cat! She seems like a scary grumpy lady (70), but she actually has butterscotch in her pockets and and a big ol' loving heart in her chest.

Understanding Thani Avarthanam in a Karnatic Concert

The percussion solo (Thani Avarthanam) is one of the highlights of modern Karnatic music concerts. Understanding its basic elements will be helpful in appreciating it better. Creative Team is publishing an article on 'Thani Avarthanam', written by one of the leading mridangam players from Kerala, Erickavu N Sunil. This article will be of use to many students and Karanatic music listeners in understanding the basic structure of Thani Avarthanam.

Erickavu N Sunil, has done his advanced studies in Mridangam from the Legendary Maestro Sangeetha Kalacharya Late Professor Mavelikkara Velukkutty Nair. What is Thani Avarthanam in a Karnatic (Carnatic) Concert?

Thani Avarthanam (or simply Thani) in a Karnatic Concert is the “Percussion Ensemble Module” which would typically start immediately after the main “Kriti” (or item or composition), presented by the vocalist (or the main artist). While accompanying the concert, the percussionist(s) need to support the main artist in all possible ways to enhance the composition to heights, whereas the Thani Avarthanam module gives them the opportunity to showcase their talent and expertise as a solo percussion artist. Thani Avarthanam now a days is a key highlight in any Karnatic concert.

As mentioned, the Thani would be played in the same Tala which the main artist recite the main “Kriti”. Hence the percussionist(s) need to be well equipped to play in all possible Talas, whereas in most of the cases the main “Kriti” would be in Adi Tala.

Which all are the instruments played in Thani Avarthanam for a Karnatic Concert?

For a Karnatic concert, the two mandatory accompaniments (Pakka Vadyams) are Violin and Mridangam. Among this, Mridangam is the mandatory percussion instrument to be used. For this reason, Mridangam would lead the Thani. To add flavour to the percussion part, sub-accompanying instruments (Upa Pakka Vadyams) like Kanjira (or Kanchira or Ganjira), Ghatom, and Morsing (Mughar Sanghu) are also used. If Upa Pakka Vadyam(s) are also present in a concert, they would also be part of the Thani along with Mridangam.

Note: For a Karnatic Nadaswaram (Nagaswaram) recital, the mandatory percussion instrument used is Thavil (Thakil). For Mandolin and Saxaphone concerts, Mridangam AND/OR Thavil are used.

Why Thani Avarthanam is needed (included) in a Karnatic Concert? Is Thani Avarthanam mandatory in a concert?

Though there is no standard rule that Thani Avarthanam mandatorily needs to be part of a concert, it is a standard practice to include Thani. As pointed out earlier, this module gives opportunity to showcase the expertise of percussionist(s). There are rasikas as well as connoisseurs who are very keen in listening and appraising the Thani.

What are the essential components in a Thani Avarthanam?

There is no standard rule on the overall structure of the Thani, however it is mandatory, rather a usual practice, that the Thani needs to end with a Mohra (or Morai) and a Korvai. The Korvai would be played thrice after which the main artist would start the “Kriti”.

In practice, there can be a few rounds of percussion solos (exchanges) between the Mridangam and Kanjira/Ghatom/Morsing where the artists can play one or more of the below “Gathi” (or gati) – the rhythmic patterns.

Different “Gathi” (rhythmic pattern) are multiples of 3 - Tishra (Triplets), 4 - Chaturashra (quadruplets), 5 - Khanda (quintuplets), 7 - Mishra (septuplets), and 9 - Sankeerna (nonuplets).

The percussionists often used to extemporize and innovate the performing patterns and Korvais in various “Gathis” to exhibit their competency.

After this, the duration of the individual solo would come down when it enters the “Kurappu” section which would typically start with one cycle of the Tala, and then half cycle, further reduced to the lease possible pattern. Many percussionists often play Kurappu with mathematical complexity as well. In the Kurappu section, the Upa Pakkom artist would mostly try to replicate the same Kurappu played by the Mridangam artist. After the Kurappu, all percussion artists would play together culminating in a grand finale followed by Morai and Korvai and then the main artist resumes where he or she left off. In fact Morai and Korvai are also an indication to the main artist and violinist that the percussionists are concluding the Thani and after the third repeat of the Korvai, be ready to continue the recital and conclude recital of the Kriti.

How long will be the Thani Avarthanam?

In a typical concert of total 2.5 hours to 3 hours duration, the Thani would usually be presented for 10 minutes to 30 minutes by the percussionists (though there is no hard and fast rule on the time duration).

Can there be more than one Thani Avarthanam in a concert?

Yes, there can be. This purely depends on the main artist. The main artist can allow any number of Thani Avarthanams. Maha Vidwan Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar used to allow up to four Thani Avarthanams in a concert. Now a day, apart from the Main Kriti where Thani is played, and if the main artist presents an RTP (Ragam Thanam Pallavi), a short Thani also will be played.

Who introduced Thani Avarthanam in a concert?

There are no written sources which would answer this. However it is believed that Maha Vidwans Ariyakkudi Ramanuja Iyyengar and Palghat Mani Iyer are the architects of modern Karnatic concert structure. Together they organized the concert as a whole as it presented currently. Accordingly, Thani was also introduced as a module which would start as a continuation of the main composition.

Alternatively, I think its funny to think about how Kaalaa Baunaa, Shamane, and Kumar are this extremely doomed and tragic family dynamic (KB was Kumar's apprentice, but she was so young Kumar HAD to have taught her as an older guiding figure in some way). Then Kanjira just got roped into hearing about a plot to destroy her town while following Matilda who was led there by the plot, honestly, I wish they had more relevance cause while the doomed cyclone between the three is interesting Kanjira deserved her own story too. She could've given us much more insight on how Mor Panhk WAS, people around Kanjira knew she was an arcanist but didn't treat her any differently, but the woman taking care of her was human. I don't remember her name but she said something about babysitting all the kids in their neighborhood, hell she even got a reward for it and was offered asylum by the Foundation because of how many arcanist and human children she saved in the story (another reason to the tally why it was bs Schneider, a character with intimate knowledge of how the Manus worked inside and was apart of the group helping the city, being denied it was bs). I think it would've been a really interesting way to show that Mor Panhk wasn't a monolith of Arcanists vs Humans that Kumar and Shamane's parent's neighborhood was. The only real implication we got that it was only that kind of situation where they WENT there and saw how different it was despite not being so far away. Plus it would've really helped show the players how Kumar was stuck in an extremely unfortunate turn of events, Mor Pankh DIDNT value strong arcanists over humans or weaker arcanists, she grew up in an extremely traditional household that held power in blood over everything. Then she went into a field where arcanists were never seen as equal peers which was one of the first things mentioned alongside Laplace's introduction. Laplace is the one organization that entirely believes that arcanists and human science can be merged.

I think a lot about Shamane and Kumar as well as Kumar and Kaalaa Baunaa. But do we think about how Shamane knew that Kumar was about to kill herself? That she sent Kaalaa away from her so she wouldn't have the student she raised like a child see her death, but Shamane knew that her life was ending. I wonder if he saw her in the same way he saw animals and arcane beasts who were injured and ready to let go.

Mercuria definitely just did a full 180 in her content. What used to be ways to make Weed brownies and cookies, adult candies and all that crap is now a bunch of tarot cards reading and meditations, which was such a whiplash.

Her fan base, before and after the switch, wondered what happened. It's only after she posts a video with her girlfriends that they finally pierce together the puzzle. Their beloved smoker and brownie maker fell in love and left that content behind.

As for Semmelweis stories, that reminds me of Desert Flannel's story. It'd entertain a bunch of the kids and teens in the suitcase since they're funky, funny and varied.

And with that one line about the kids in the orphanage, I think Semmelweis would be more than happy to share her tales with the children. It's a good way to bond and to make the kids' unusual life in a suitcase more entertaining

Imagining the addition of Kimberly into Matilda's daily life is so silly but so funny.

"So, how did Ms. Kimberly" The foundation worker turns to the lady sitting there playing with a cat's toy "end up bound to you?"

"I was tricked by Eternity!! She gave me the toy with no explanation and when I would it up, boom! Kimberly was here!"

"Hii" The girl, hearing her name mentioned by her master, waves at the worker.

"...Okay. We're going to need you to cast her back to her seal-" The foundation worker stopped, feeling a murderous gaze on her and fearing to turn to it "-or we can leave her to your care. Sign here" she takes out a paper and pushes it to Matilda "and you'll become the official caretaker of Ms. Kimberly"

Matilda looked at the now calm and peaceful Kimberly and then at the office worker. "C-can you help me with her?" She whispers and receives a negative.

"Sorry, she's too scary, just sign here."

And now, it seems Matilda has a dangerous girl under her wing! (Get it, since she's a duck)

Morning routines are quite a change. She's the first to wake up just to be greeted by the sight of her beautiful girlfriends- and an intruding face

"Good morning Master!"

And that's how her day begins.

"Kimberly, can't you brush your teeth on the other sink?"

They're brushing their teeth in the morning, in front of the same small mirror while Kimberly tries to copy Matilda's movements. Meanwhile, Mercuria and Kanjira sleep peacefully together.

Breakfast is funny because by this time, Mercuria and Kanjira are awake and they share their time with Matilda and Ms. Kimberly tagging along.

"Mmm~ yes, I do! Will you give me some?"

"Sure, here you go."

It's oddly peaceful and familiar, Kanjira and Mercuria treat Kimberly normally and don't seem to mind her much. If they don't want something, Kimberly will lick that plate shining clean.

Working with Kimberly is... A problem.

Kimberly's company is quite entertaining as she will do whatever she wants and say whatever she wants but follows after Matilda 24/7

You know, I have never seen Spam. So like, I assume that's like, canned meat right?

Satsuki would definitely have tried it before, though she wouldn't have made Spam Musubi until she got into the suitcase. Her opinion might have been mixed at the beginning but she ended up liking it.

She doesn't make it often because she's cooking for the suitcase but sometimes she might make it for herself or for the suitcase during special occasions. Most don't like or know about it so it's just her and a friend eating it.

Or it could be Pavia who's just there for Satsuki and doesn't like it that much, he finds it weird and untasteful so he brings his Gelato along.

As for the rest, as mentioned, I don't think many like it. It's not up to Vertin's taste and Sonetto doesn't like it very much, Lilya and Druvis may warm up to it but Regulus can't stand it.

37 doesn't think food should be in a can so she doesn't eat it, but 6 may eat it from time to time. Also Jessica and Jiu Niangzi who eat that like it's the top five best meals in the world.

Isolde doesn't eat many things so her menu is dictated by her or her doctor (not Kakania, like, an actual doctor), same with Cristallo and Spathodea.

Sotheby thinks it's fine actually, she likes it. Though she likes pretty much everything so, yeah, not a hard choice. Shamane also likes it but he thinks every ingredient could work if well cooked.

Matilda is giving that shit the middle finger while Kanjira and Mercuria find it to be good. Ms Kimberly eats okay, anything she devours.

Either way, if Matilda swaps i0 outfit with Mercuria or Kanjira, she's pretty uncomfortable due to the huge difference in coverage and conservative nature.

Kanjira's clothes are few, and it's something she's (Kanjira) used to, meanwhile Matilda is not.

To leave her stomach bare and her legs barely covered by a long skirt on one side and very short on the other. Matilda would be pretty uncomfortable and shy wearing that outfit, since she covers herself a lot more with long sleeves and medium sized skits.

Now when it comes to wearing the cat fit, Matilda is not going out in that. She's using those huge paws to hide her face from the others. It's embarrassing since she is supposed to be a serious and professional worker for the foundation!!

She'd have a similar problem with Mercuria's fit since, well, those two are against covering up their stomach and legs (though in her 1.3 outfit she does wear short... Shorts. what is English???)

Also, Mercuria's clothes were big for her so she also couldn't wear them properly.

She may have some problems with these but she's pretty much fine with them after like, 5 hours of getting used to it and the cold.

As for Kanjira wearing Matilda's outfit, the most common and only complaints are the boring colors and how thick the fabric is. It's already hot enough, so, wearing so many clothes (and so boring, in her words) just makes it worse. Not to mention it's a little big for Kanjira so she doesn't look good in them.

In Matilda's 1.3 outfit, Kanjira feels more at ease and it's more her style despite being Matilda's outfit, she probably took off the blue - I'mma say shirt but it's not a shirt, nor a sweater?? I'm bad at fashion - and walked around normally.

Kanjira is shorter than Matilda so maybe Mercuria's clothes are out of the question for her

As for Mercuria, sorry girl but you're not fitting in these clothes. They'd look good if they didn't look stretched or tight, which is the main problem.

But she did end up wearing Pioneers clothes once and she started to consider the idea of wearing suits for special occasions. She didn't in the end.

Bath time in the suitcase and the chaos that would inevitably ensue, please~!

You're treating me like I'm some sort of bartender and you're asking for the usual (prepares the glass)

So far, (I haven't played many anecdotes) it seems there's a public bath in the suitcase, or at least there's a limited amount of bathrooms. I can just imagine some would treat it as a bath house.

Perhaps like in the pools where there's a room with a selected number of shower rooms which are small (in this case they're medium sized). And I think we can see where the problem is.

Some would take painfully long (Eternity, Blonney, Ms. Newbabel, Sweetheart) and use many products while others would be in and out.

There are some special mentions which are characters like Jessica, Getian and Vila, who are Half-blood and half-human, they need to have their own separate time to bathe.

Getian had his own shower room made since he's too big for the others and has a stick he can stand on while water pours down. Jessica doesn't need assistance but it's highly recommended, she needs to have her deer half clean (she likes it to be clean) and her fur brushed, which she can do by herself but takes a lot of time from the other arcanists. Vila Is a special case, she's actually pretty embarrassed to ask for her own shower room like Getian but she can't just shower like that. She might end up going very early to catch them empty and bathe properly and clean her tail.

After missions, that place gets crowded, really crowded. Ghosts don't need baths and the awakened have a different clean-up session that the arcanists and humans. That is to say, they're pretty lucky.

Matilda, Tooth Fairy, Horropedia, Mesmer Jr and other foundation workers within the suitcase go to the foundation to shower since it's empty most of the time (too much work). Sometimes they may bring a friend or lover there but other than that it's just them having a win over the others.

Meanwhile there's people playing Rock-paper-scissors to see who goes first. No one is allowed to go into Getian's shower room since it's designed specifically for him.

And, also, I forgot to say it but yeah these are divided by gender, Vertin got peer pressured into it since she didn't expect to have such a growing amount of people in her suitcase at the beginning.

Kanjira: Oh, I steal it from you!

Things like these happen a lot and there's nothing you can do about it.

Vertin has the privilege of her own shower room and she abuses this power. Where does the water come from? Look at the wilderness and ask again.
