i cant possibly put into words how important this silly little ship and its community mean to me haha,,,, this comic was made in 2021 but i didnt really get serious about chscr until late 2022 after a bunch of pretty bad interpersonal stuff happened and i needed an outlet,, COINCIDENTALLY a certain someone was announced to be playable around then and i was already thought chscr was Pretty Neat™️ so i ended up diving headfirst into the ship. it also gave me a good excuse to work on more comics too!! i’d done a pretty big zhongven comic earlier that year in the summer, but in terms of lore there was only so much i could have worked with at the moment.

childe and scaramouche have that perfect combination of silliness and angst and violence that could be explored or expanded in so many ways and i love love love seeing other people’s interpretations of their dynamic and relationship. they’re so complex,,,,they’re narrative foils,,,they’re narrative parallels,,,they’re trans allegories,,,they’re flies in the spiderweb of the games lore,,,they’re my stupid little meow meows,,, they’re just two losers i want to see make out,,,

in a nutshell, they’re everything to me. well, i hope i get that kind of sentiment across in my own comics,,,,

“What are you doing, all cooped up in here? The sun is shining, it’s a beautiful day!” Remus scolds you, crossing his arms and sending you a fond look.

You won’t even look at him, too focused on your work. “I think I found this error in my essay on the uprising of the elves of 1670, I just had to fact-check it so Professor Binns doesn’t think I’m an absolute idiot–”

“No one thinks that”, Remus says softly.  You smile, finally meeting his eyes. “You’re too kind.”

He nods. “Just kind enough, I’d say.”

You let your quill fall onto the table. Standing up with a screech from the chair, you actually take a proper look at him. Remus is for once not drowning in a bulky jumper, probably due to the hot beginning-of-summer weather. Instead, he’s wearing a breezy short-sleeved shirt and a pair of light-blue jeans. His arms are exposed, both to your dismayal and pleasure. You pretend not to notice the blonde, soft-looking hairs dusting his forearms. He looks happy, he does well in summer. Freckles are starting to show across his nose and cheeks, his hair becoming just a shade lighter in the sun. It’s a teasing view of what could be yours, if one of you could just swallow your pride and tell each other. 

He towers over you even though you’re now standing instead of sitting down. He leans even closer, pretending not to notice how your breath hitches. Heart pumps faster, making you feel dizzy. “Whadd’ya say, wanna head down to the lake? Maybe a quick skinny-dip?”

“A– Skinny dip?” A warmth spreads across your face, fills your entire body. You do your best to stay afloat. “Are you actually serious?” you blubber out.

“Why wouldn’t I be.” He flashes a smile. Breath hot on your face, nose barely grazing yours. You wonder how you’re gonna survive this conversation.

He doesn’t wipe the suggestive grin from his face. He knows what he’s doing to you, how could he not? “Maybe a midnight dip is more to your liking, Lovebug?”

Remus isn’t ready to give up quite yet. He places a hand on your shoulder, squeezing softly. It trails down, until it can toy with your fingers. “But for the record, I wouldn’t mind going skinny dipping tonight. Together. Just you and me.”

“Remus, what do you mean?” you say slowly.

I saw some other ppl writing their ideas for a better Minecraft movie and I had a fun idea so I figured I’d write it down

Starting off, Steve and Alex aren’t the main characters of this movie. They can show up as special guest appearances but for the most part they’re not in the movie. The movie is instead about two random kids since it’s a kids game and most people started playing when they were kids. One of these kids is several years older than the other and is more skilled at the game.

This could be taken a step further by making Steve and Alex played by these kids with their voices, bc those are the default skins. Steve is not white. Basically I’m saying in the movie the kids log onto Minecraft and look like Steve and Alex instead of themselves. This is all animated except for small short scenes of the kids in real life.

It starts off with a scene of the two kids at school. They’re both disliked by the other students and the older kid scolds the younger kid a lot for being weird. They eventually try to start playing Minecraft together.

the older kid has played the game way more, and is trying to show the younger kid how to play. The older kid is very serious about the game and is constantly upset at the younger kid for how they’re playing. They’re trying to build the best Minecraft base ever as the premise. They’re on a public server, and sometimes meet other people.

The younger kid is just enjoying the game. Picking flowers, finding pets, just having fun. They almost get killed many times but the older kid saves them.

They also spend their first night in a hole in the ground.

As it carries on the older kid gets increasingly frustrated at the younger kid for constantly getting them in danger and the younger kid just gets more sad bc they’re constantly getting pestered about existing. They go mining, go to villages, the nether, all sorts of places. The older kid every once in a while complains about some addition to the game being “useless”. Probably some kid of block.

They meet a player who tries to kill them and also raids their base. The older kid fights them off.

the older kid kills some mob the younger kid liked “for food” and they get in a fight. Idrc when this happens in the movie the important part is the older kid tells the younger kid to get over it and they need to survive somehow.

Since MCYTs are such an integral part of Minecraft, at LEAST one has to show up and more have to be mentioned. I’ve decided goodtimeswithscar is going to be in the movie. Just bc I like his content and he’s a sweet guy. They also mention etho bc they have to build a hopper clock for some reason.

The kids run into a gorgeous town all built by scar and meet him. Scar tells the older kid it’s okay to have a little whimsy and be a little bad at the game, he’s been building since he was “but a little boy” and even he still messes up frequently. The older kid doesn’t pay much attention to this advice yet.

Bringing this up again but they live in a hole. For most of the movie. The hole gets a little bigger over time so they can fit more stuff in it, but they won’t move out of the hole until their base is finished.

This whole time they’ve been gathering resources for their perfect base, except it’s pretty much mostly been the older kid.

Finally they start to build the base but the younger kid gets distracted by a new mob. Probably a bee. They have this magical moment of staring into its beautiful eyes before the older kid shows up to pull the younger kid away. The younger kid asks why the older kid is so adamant on finishing their base instead of taking their time. The older kid gets caught off guard. They say smth along the lines of “we can’t have fun until we finish the base.” And the younger kid responds with “we’ve been having fun. At least I have. I just wanted to play Minecraft with you but you keep making me play your way and I’m not having fun anymore. Why can’t we try my way for a bit?”

And then the younger kid hands the older kid a flower, and the bee looks at the older kid. The older kid sits there looking at the bee for a minute before the younger kid says “we don’t have to play the same way to have fun. I just wanted to play with you.”

The older kid looks really guilty, and the younger kid walks away and gets lost.

The player who tried to kill them earlier comes back! They spawn a wither. The younger kid sees this and starts screaming for help.

The older kid is working on the base, more sadly now, when they hear voices. They look in the distance to see the wither.

They drop everything and run to save the younger kid. They make up and kill the wither together. The older kid teaches the younger kid how to fight, and they protect their home (except most of it got destroyed, along with their pets.) I haven’t decided what happens to the troll player. They either die too or get banned from the server for griefing.

The older kid looks at the ruins of their base, before turning to the younger kid who’s crying over the dead bee. The older kid asks if they want to help them find a new bee. They do.

After finding a new bee, the younger kid asks what to do about not having a base. (Their hole got blown up too.) the older kid says they can just build a new one. they start to rebuild their base together. The younger kid plants flowers and gets new pets, the older kid works on the shape of the house. They use the blocks that the older kid had deemed useless at the start of the movie.

They finish the base. It’s not the best base ever, but you can see both kids personalities shining through the build. The movie ends with them walking into the base and one asks “see you at school tomorrow?”

I get it’s called “a Minecraft movie” bc there’s many good indie stories told in Minecraft, but at the same time, Warner bros. could be doing so much better. I don’t have an ending for this post since I just wanted to write this down somewhere. But yea that’s MY Minecraft movie.

What I can get is changing the bailey seduction scene to make it more high-quality bc the quality of the game has advanced over time. What I don't get is just removing it all together with no clear explanation besides "we'll add smth new one day".

It super gives off "we're looking for a reason to get rid of it and then we'll wait it out until you all forget about it". Makes me kinda scared for the game's future. I'm def gonna have to distance myself from everything DOL for a long time after this bc I'm genuinely upset over this.

Victim of the baileyfucking removal #1283129 game's unplayable now (mostly jokingly but I'm actually upset like dead serious upset. why would you just remove it entirely instead of changing it if you're not planning to sweep it all under the rug? Might just be paranoid but still.)

A lot of things are changing, some drastically so and it sucks. Being able to seduce Bailey is something I’ve always tried to do but always failed skill check and then I’d forget about it when my skill were high.

Hi everyone!

It's been a while, hasn't it?

For some of you, this may be the first time you've actually seen me on your feed since I'm on my annual hiatus so... Hi! I'm Seirin, your friendly skeleton lover and author of The Missing Scarf, that one Undertale comic (o´▽`o)

If you were not aware, this blog is usually only active in the summer and/or during the holidays as I'm a student, but I figured I should still write a little smth as I really haven't given any news for a long while now.

So, um, this blog is still very much alive, and so is TMS!   DEMON AU TOO

Truth is, I didn't anticipate back in September the sheer amount of work I'd have to pull off this year as well as the crazy schedule, house mouves, and many, many group assignements... I've always managed but this year is just rough, both physically and mentally (that was new). I had a serious slump around new year and didn't even have the motivation to draw or open social medias for a while. 

But you know me, always ranting that health comes first and that I’ve seen enough burned out artists to know not to go beyond my limits. (*￣▽￣)b  So knowing that I had this 30 pages+ lore doc, unfinished sketches and pile of unanswered asks just waiting for me whenever I wanted to work on TMS, I knew I wasn’t up for the task and had to put it off for later. And later. Again and again. 

That's about it for the venting section.

As of today, I'm still short of time but I've got some of my energy back, enough to write this anyway. But also *drum roll* to work on the next part of TMS! 

And this is where the real announcement comes in: while I'm still on hiatus, I'm planning to adjust the publication schedule a bit for this part. Until now, I'd post a chapter (1 page per day) only after I finished drawing it in its entirety. For this part however, I've decided to try a monthly (or bi-monthly) publication, to give me some leeway, and for you to have actual updates.

We'll see if I can keep up with this pace, but it seems much more satisfying for everyone  ( ´ ▿ ` )

So there you go. Sorry again to those who kept sending me Asks and dms I never got to answer. I just kinda turn into a hermit when overwhelmed or don’t notice them at all (I feel extra bad when I eventually do but every drop of energy needs to be salvaged for irl emergency), but I really appreciate the thought! They're exhausted by their own game that they're the only ones hurting themselves (self sabotage) at this point, but they're either not self aware enough to acknowledge that or bury their feelings so far down that they dont have to acknowledge being self aware enough. that's why they play the game they do, how far they can flirt with someone or make someone hate them before they pull away, as stated in the book. it's because they dont know how to be in tune with their own emotions, that playing this game with other people's emotions is the only way they can indirectly handle their own. playing this game with emotions is the only way they allow themselves to feel, but it ends in more self sabotage because they bury it again. also, you mentioned they havent let themselves cry in a while. probably because letting themsleves cry means they have to let out all the emotions they've been hiding over the years, but thats so scary for them, why should we confront something when we've been avoiding it for so long? this is so long, and i was gonna try to write more, but idk maybe not. hope im somewhere on the right path lmao

okay this one’s so interesting to me because like, it’s half right and half wrong. and maybe i’m gaslighting myself but i’m kinda happy you didn’t guess it all because it means Rylan’s still kinda a mystery, which, is what i want them to stay as. at least for now.

i’ll say that it’s the ‘playing with emotions’ bit is what’s wrong here. i’m sure it wasn’t your intention but it kinda makes Rylan seem like sadistic haha which, they’re not. they don’t enjoy hurting other people. if anything, they almost take pleasure in hurting themself? or, how do i explain this. you could almost say it’s their version of a test. they like seeing how far they can go as a way to see how far they’ve come in blocking off their emotions. they’re nowhere near emotionally constipated as K, but after being hurt in the past, they perceive caring for people as a crux, so they basically want to see if they’ve ‘improved’ on that front.

but yeah, it’s definitely self-sabotage. and they realize this, but they’ve accepted that’s what they need. they’ve trusted people and been betrayed—it’s not something they want to go through again. and these aren’t, like, small betrayals like hanging out without you. to Rylan, they’re life-changing and they’d rather run than go through that again.

BASICALLYY the transformers r alien robots from the planet cybertron!! they are fighting a civil war and eventually all the fighting wrecks the planet n the battle gets moved 2 earth!! there r two sides, the good guys called the autobots (led by a guy called optimus prime he is popular n beloved in the franchise n fandom) and the evil bad guys r called the Decepticons!! they are led by their evil leader Megatron!! OP and megs are sworn enemies n fight sm, the wars been going on for like over 4 million years (these guys live a LONGGG time) on earth, the autobots r nicer and treat the humans better than the cons anyways (tho no bot/con is rlly pure their like all war criminals LMAOOO) u would not BELIEVEE their mfing drama!! the pettyness of these mech mfs fr

ANYWAYZZ another rlly cool thing abt the series is the many canon queer bots!!! :D their mostly in the idw comics tho, such as the comic series 'more than meets than the eye' and lost light' which features multiple main characters who r gay and have a bunch of mlm relationships, as well as lost light having some t4t lesbians who r prominent EEE it so cool to see!! another example of transgenderformers is in the newest show 'transformers earthspark' which features one of the main characters who is nonbinary!! their sooo cool :]!!
