Hi what do you think what it means that aegon and aemond relationship will spiral out of control? I think it has to do with 2 things: b&c where aegon will blame aemond for it and all this build up rivalry between them. I mean aegon isn't stupid he knows aemond wants to be king and is more suited but for better or for worse it's aegon who is king. I think most people focus on aemond there, saying that he is jealous of what aegon has simply because he is older but no one focuses on how aegon feels. He knows aemond is better material for king but after he sees smallfolk accepting him as king it will change whole dynamics. Aegon will try to assert dominance simply because he is so loved and aemond after killing Luke is kinslayer=cursed in eyes of people all over Westeros and aegon will surely rubb it on aemond face in a way like 'yeah, you could have been so good material to the king except the fact that you are cursed and you are responsible for my son's death'. And 2 season will be mentally difficult for aemond because he will surely feel guilty after b&c (well he is the one to blame anyway) and before he was confident, tis I and so on, but now his level of confidence will just go low and low. Like he will surely not be in alicent's good graces since Olivia said that watching aemond turning into absolute killer is terrifying for her and she refused larys offer to harm luke so no wonder why daeron will be her favourite son since he will never let her down and will spend most of his time at kl protecting her. I mean, I saw people from team green angry because how is this possible that aemond will abandon his family after b&c and be crybaby for such old wench like alys? Why don't he stay at kl with his one true love helaena? *eyes roll* Well I can easily see aemond parting from his family to fight daemon as a way to repent for throwing them to the war and causing his mother and sister to be rhaenyra prisoners. And what do you think?
Honestly, if that is the route they go, I don’t think it will start off that way. I think Aegon, rightly or wrongly, will be accepting towards Aemond. It is partly jest at his sister and a powe move but also probably show a united stand, but he throws Aemond a party. I don’t think there is all ill will (from Aegon to Aemond) on that part. I would not be surprised if their relationship does shift after b&b. In the books, while Helaena slips into depression, Aegon becomes more angry and vengeful. Idk how much of that is still pointed towards Aemond (especially if Aemond does end up telling anyone it was an accident) bc he still chooses to make Aemond protector of realm.
I think there will be strife, and I am interested in Aegon using his position as king as something to hold over people. But at the end of the day, i don’t see all of these relationships falling out imo
#I think a lot of people have a very… black and white view of Aemond and Aegon’s relationship which I just don’t see#I feel like what happened in ep 8 and 10 should be examples of that#their relationship is malleable#it wanes and changes… like normal sibling relationships do#and I know he isn’t writing the show but even Tom said that Aegon realizes that the pink dread joke was clearly spiraled out of control#like that’s his brother#asks and requests

Latest update: popular TV series ‘The Watcher’ & more!
Do you want to discover what new and popular TV shows this week have viewers hooked to the screen and active online? The WhatsOn Editorial Tama has chosen a few popular TV shows. Here are the top television shows right now, including The Watcher, House of the Dragon, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. ‘House Of The Dragon’ Episode 9 The king has expired. King is still alive! A youthful servant is moving through the Red Keep's halls and corridors in the wee hours of the night. He descends from the castle's upper floors to its lower kitchens and servants' quarters, where he discovers a young woman who is the Queen's handmaiden. He speaks softly in her ear. She then proceeds to Queen Alicent's (Olivia Cooke's) and Otto Hightower's (Rhys Ifans') rooms, where Otto Hightower is now Queen Dowager. The Peaceful King Viserys has passed away. The last holdout of tranquility in the land has passed away. He has been removed by The Stranger and returned to his Mother. And now bloody tears will fall from the Seven Kingdoms. When he passed away, King Viserys I (Paddy Considine) was crazy and babbling, mistaking his young bride, Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy), for his daughter. His wife took his rants about Aegon the Conqueror and his Dream as a dying longing to replace Rhaenyra, his heir apparent, with their own son Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney), who would sit on the Iron Throne. She takes care to conceal her husband's passing, and she and her father hastily convene the Small Council in the early morning hours before dawn. The bad news—though long anticipated—is delivered to the gathered lords. Viserys is no more. Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 Season 1 spoilers are forthcoming. Just as its first season is coming to a finish, the Rings of Power are finally picking up steam with the creation of the first rings and the revelation of the identity of Galadriel's boyfriend—sorry, mortal adversary. You best believe Amazon Prime Video intends to use the Lord of the Rings IP as long as possible since the fires of Mount Doom will not wait for a man (or elf). (There are yet more footnotes from J.R.R. Tolkien to examine.) As a result, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has four more seasons planned, as a co-showrunner for Rings J.D. Payne confirmed before the first season even aired. Payne said to Empire in June 2022, "There are aspects in the first season that don't pay off until season 5." We even know what will be in our final shot for the last episode. There will be a total of five seasons, with season 2 possibly premiering as early as 2023. The second chapter is currently under production, as Salke stated. She told Variety, "We're going to get that out into the world as quickly as we can.” While keeping the bar as high as feasible, we want the gap between seasons to be as short as possible. So whatever it takes will be done. However, there has been a sense of urgency in going rapidly, which is why these guys have continued to write throughout their break. We are moving quickly. Star of "The Watcher” Naomi Watts Stated the Last Scene Naomi Watts, the series “The Watcher” star, discussed the unclear conclusion to the program. The actress, who portrays Nora in the upcoming Ryan Murphy Netflix series, offered her insights on the character reveal for her and Bobby Cannavale's Dean. Watts described Dean's last moments as a "very dark" study of the marriage as he spied on a new family at his and Nora's New Jersey house after being stalked. According to Watts, who spoke to Entertainment Weekly, "they think the house is going to cure their problems, but it ends up being the trigger that produces a whole lot of new difficulties that they didn't anticipate." They are currently only attempting to identify who the other is. The cycle continues, and we've gone too far believing in this American Dream with such entitlement and the dread of no longer being important if that dream isn't realized, Watts continued, speculating on Dean's motivations and his fascination with the Watcher. It's a downward spiral. Many fans criticized the finale of the show after its premiere, with one calling it "horrendous." Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, who most recently worked together on Netflix's Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, are the creators of The Watcher. Read the full article
