omg well to your point, i dont' know near enough about atla as i should but under the assumption that the world can be endlessly expanded upon i'd love a water bender tseng not of the northern tribe but say, some marshland/seashore type tribe. lsiten i just got out of the bath so i had some good good no-screen time to think about this and like. say he's really skilled at separating water from salt, or water from its impurities one might say (seashore/marshland water goop) which sounds really useful and also if you attribute that to bloodbending or separating water from the impurity of the whole body, that'll get gruesome fast (shoutout to that one mermaid movie where an 11yo girl just ripped a dude in half by controlling the water in his body. made for kids. GOD that movie got kids like no other)

so i am. horrifically, a funny little guy lover. almost immediately when i get my hands on a new ship i throw them in the "what digimon/pokemon/etc would they have!!!" machine and i've already done that with tserith for sure. ironically i remember less of the digimon one than the pokemon one but tseng had a qilinmon and aeris's would eventually evolve into smth like ancientkazemon. pokemon i developed with my dear friend @bbunbbi and aeris had brionne (gift from ifalna), floette, hattern (hated morgrem), and tseng had dragonair (childhood poke from wutai), seviper, and morgrem (shinra-appointed). morgrem had a huge character arc and brionne died with aeris. very sad! and god damn it while i was in the bath i was like. yeah give them medabots fuck it. that didn't get very far but i can say that tseng's medabot would work similar to snake man from mega man 3.

i don't think that's entirely in the spirit of this ask though since all of those would still take place ~in ff7/midgar~ and not like, true alternate universe. my actual answer is so corny. Plop them in anywhere from the early 19th to the early 20th century and my ass is Game. gothic regencies to wwi espionage sounds like such a goddamn romp and i will eat that shit up.

as a fun fact though the book i thought i was gonna write last year before vel chokeslammed me into the asphalt was one of those "fanfic-jump-to-actual-book" ideas where like. in a fantasy world that is starting to see magic-adjacent things recede from the world there's a monster prince arranged marriage romance going on between the last naga prince and a descendant of the now-gone(?) dryads. you know, "not tserith". but then vel, that fucker, fucking??? exploded out of thin air in late april last year and the rest is history whoops. i still want to write the naga prince book someday but whew.

10/27/24, witching hour

Just about midnight.

Last couple Digimon events have been kinda good to me.

Last week we had our Halloween event. We decided to run a Pauper event instead of the Yellow/Green only theme Bandai had set, so we were only allowed to use Common and Uncommon cards. I built a Journey to the West control deck using an ST19 Puppet bottom-end for card advantage with a BT15 Cannondramon and BT13 JumboGamemon top-end for control. It worked really well and I placed first.

Today (yesterday technically) we had our Special Release Booster 2.0 release event (basically part one of the combined BT18+19 sets), and I ended up topping that too with the least game losses across three rounds. I pulled just okay as far as value went, but I pulled pretty well in terms of what cards were just good to have for sealed, and tbh I think it's a really interesting sealed environment. AncientVolcanomon, Zanbamon, and AncientKazemon in particular were all goated pulls. I also snagged an AA Millenniummon, which put in work- especially since Zanbamon always reliably digivolved for free.

Got a lot of good stuff from my friends who picked up boxes too. I've got almost all the fish and purple hybrid stuff. I'm gonna be on the lookout for Composite stuff too.

Looking forward to Sunday morning. Dedicated day off.

Prompt for April 17: Favorite Ancient Evolution

I had to think about this one. My first instinct was AncientGreymon because duh, and he’s absolutely up there still, but honestly I really do like a couple of the other designs better. I’m surprising even myself here but

AncientTroiamon. First off, the theming is *chef’s kiss* - i’m a sucker for Greek mythology - and the fact that the Trojan Horse (which- digital world, data, viruses, you get it) is now the Trojan TANK Horse is hilarious. It’s just so cool to look at and I want to ride it into battle.

AncientIrismon is a close second - She’s elegant and colorful and purty and she can stab-stab, ees perfect.

Ancient kazemon x male tamer reader headcanons please

AncientKazemon x Male Tamer Reader

AncientKazemon is a stoic being. She doesn't show too much in emotion on her face, and is rather quiet a good part of the time, nearly completely opposite of her 'descendant' Kazemon.

She does have her moments of playfulness, being of a bird sort of Digimon, she uses her wind abilities to blow your hair around, or lift you off the ground rather spontaneously just to see you land on your ass if you don't balance quick enough. It always gets a light chuckle out of her.

She wraps you in her iridescent wings when she wants your attention if she doesn't feel like using the wind to pull you to her so you can both sit together, unless you do so willingly. She simply has her wants of cuddling, even at the most inopportune times. She doesn't do it often, so when she does, she refuse to let you go. It doesn't matter if you're taller than her, she's stronger than she appears.

AncientKazemon does prefer being more affectionate in private, although she does hold your hand when you're walking together in a public view. Sometimes she's nuzzle up to you, but aside from that, she doesn't do too much else

She does care, she truly does, but her stoic and proud nature doesn't quite help showing it too often as much as she'd like to. But she does as much as she can when you two are alone together or going to rest

I decided on full evolution lines for the original Legendary Warriors on a whim. The first two levels are taken from the twelve Digimon of Adventure and 02, but things get different at the Rookie stage. All of them are fanmade aside from Flamemon and Strabimon.

A mix of Japanese and English names are used, and a few have been completely renamed (dotted). This list includes my fanmade Warriors for the elements of Wood, Earth, Water, Steel, Energy, and Cosmos. All fanmade characters are designated with asterisks. A few of the Unified Warriors are being redesigned (marked with italics).

Ahaha! Thank you! Tbh I still need to cement a lot of those. I’m still working on the Seekermon designs, but they are bird/dragon based digimon and also super cute anime mascots. I might hopefully have something soon though They start to vary and branch off more as they digivolve

(The idea would be the evolution line goes: Seekermon -> Warpmon -> Skywarpmon. And Seekermon -> Crackermon -> Thundercrackermon)

Prowlmon I imagine as a dog digimon, and his evolutions look a bit like KendoGarurumon. Windblademon I imagine being a harpy based digimon, maybe a bit like AncientKazemon.

Cliffjumpamon I would edit my Corruption AU design to be a bit more cutesy and smol. I imagine CJ is like the Mamemon evolution line in that he never actually gets all that big, he stays roughly the same size and his very bitter about this. Fully evolved Driftmon pretty much looks like a recoloured Duftmon.

I have the Digicons less figured out (though I once joked Megamon would be pretty terrifying if he looked like Machinedramon).
