So for this one night, he decided, if he couldn’t take Airin into space on a whim then he’d just have to cosmos-conjure a little piece of space from where he sat. Holding his hand out in front of him, Doomstar muttered a word or two in a language dead to the world. A quick incantation in his native tongue was all it took for a his magic to burst to life in his palm. Starlight pooled and glimmered brightly, and he scattered it all around them in but a breath.

“I like to think that considering the stars as your friends is a good thing, Airin. They’re always there, even if we can’t always see them. They listen to our hopes, our dreams, our fears and wishes. They can guide you, keep you company, and you can tell them all your secrets.”

He paused for only a moment, his eyes tracing the twinkling specks of light shining around them, before adding “I think they’re friend shaped.”

I was looking up Atlantis since the last* Man From C.A.M.P. novel had Atlantis (and I will include it in my book in a different way), and I stumbled upon...something.

See, I want the world of my book to balance in between plausible and implausible, and so sometimes I worry if I'm being too unrealistic (even with making Atlantis as the ceiling of believability for my Agents of C.A.M.P. series). And then reality goes 'no, I'm that weird, libertarians tried to make their own capitalist Atlantis'.

Oh the joys of being a language nerd and wanting to get all of the canon-to-YJA Atlantean down in my Atlantean dictionary for reference, finally sitting down and looking at scripts for episodes where I know there's Atlantean spoken, and getting met with:

results that aren't what I'm looking for at all (mostly stuff from Atlantis: The Lost Empire)

On one hand I get it, people who pulled together those scripts were focused more on recording the scripts for the story and the plot (and not so much on painstakingly figuring out what the exact sounds for words in a conglang-based-on-ancient-Greek were and reasonably transcribing them), buuuuuut on the other hand it's still frustrating.
