Secret Sweetheart - Ana-Maria CrnogorÄeviÄ x Reader
A/n: Because who doesn't love AMC? Also I've basically been dangling this fic in front of @lostinwoso for a while now but I finally finished it and started working on the sequel before the final yesterday... enjoy!
///
No more dating teammates. That was what Ana decided after her last break-up.
Walking towards the door that opened out onto the path to the training pitch, Ana was not expecting to catch one of her teammates in her arms as they stumbled backwards. Her hands on your hips to steady you, Ana couldnât help but smell a sweet citrus scent as you twisted in her arms, your hands on her shoulders momentarily before you gave the Swiss woman a sweet smile.Â
Your sweet smile was contradicted by the mischievousness in your eyes however, as you headed away, secretly plotting how to get back at Patri later.
The citrus scent soon faded as Ana was snapped out of her haze by the door opening behind her, revealing a confused Leila who was wondering why Ana was blocking the door.
âWhat are you doing?â Leila enquired, but you were long gone, so Ana looked like she was just blocking the door for no reason, the Swiss woman shrugging at Leila before the Spaniard hooked an arm around her shoulders, heading towards the training pitch together.
She might sound ridiculous but there was something about the way you smelled like baked goods that had Ana intrigued. Did you live near a bakery? You didnât, but you kept your secret to yourself.
Even when sweet treats started appearing in the canteen, these specific treats had been cleared by the dietary staff. Your teammates adored the banana bread that was left one day, then a few weeks later, somehow brownies had gotten approved by the staff (they had beetroot in, although nobody could tell).
Then one training after a UWCL group stage game, muffins appeared. Teammates none the wiser, they didnât even notice how you never tried any of the healthy treats, but the pieces were slowly falling into place for the Swiss national player.
You smelt like ground spices one morning as you arrived at morning training. The aroma immediately catching Anaâs attention, she didnât mean to let her eyes linger as you went to change into your training gear, but the playfully confused look as you glanced up from tying your laces didnât go unnoticed by her.
âSee something you like?â
âYou smell nice today.â Ana could feel the heat on her face, you had caught her.
âOnly today? Iâm kidding, but you should probably get one of those protein ball things someone brought to the canteen this morning. That hungry look in your eye is quite noticeable.â You teased, grinning at how Ana's face went through several emotions quickly.
âOh, really?â Ana let out a breath of laughter, her hand reaching out to your arm as you made to walk out to training.
âYou might need the energy,â you took a step closer to the Swiss international player, biting your lip for a moment, âI think weâve got a gym session today.âÂ
Anaâs jaw hung open as you walked away, catching up with Patri to attempt to swipe the speaker from her, the aim being to try to play something other than reggaeton.Â
Your comment about âprotein ball thingsâ as you put it, crept up again in Anaâs mind between training sessions for the day, the team heading inside when a shout from Pere down the corridor caught everyoneâs attention.
âThese things taste so good!â
You hid your smirk in a very fake sneeze, eventually turning it into a light cough, hiding the truth of the protein balls, and every other baked healthy treat that had appeared the last few months in the canteen.
Ana paused in chewing, the spices eliciting a hum as she enjoyed the taste of the protein ball, before familiarity hit her. Sheâd smelt these ground spices before somewhereâŠ
///
âAre you going to dinner tonight?â Leila enquired, approaching you after training but you shook your head.
âIâm at a charity conference ball, I donât know- Ale, whatâs the mental health charity thing weâre at tonight supposed to be again?â You replied, turning to try to find your captain, who was talking to Ana and Irene.
âGala.â Alexia filled in the blanks in your memory.
âAh, yeah, smart clothes event. Smarter than smart clothes for team dinner anywayâŠâ Your nose crinkled up, wondering if you could wear cleaned up trainers or if you needed to polish your smart shoes that you hadnât worn since you were in school but still somehow fit.
âYou say that like you do not dress up nicely for team dinners.â Ana pointed out, feeling heat in her cheeks as you smirked, making Alexia and Irene smile in amusement.
âJust team dinners?â
âNo, no, not just-â Ana scrambled to fix her words, but you had already disappeared across the room to dance with Leila, leaving a smile on the Swiss internationalâs lips.
âCheeky little-â
âYou two would be good together.â Irene pointed out, whilst Alexia nodded in agreement, her eyes following where you were dancing and how Anaâs eyes still lingered on you.
///
The photos from the gala surfaced on the internet quickly, the photos of you and Alexia attending the charity gala on behalf of Barcelona, and on behalf of the mental health charity you had been involved with even in the early days of your career. Back when you volunteered and participated in bake sales to help raise money. Something you kept doing, anonymously though, even now.
Ana hadnât meant to be so distracted by Instagram, but the photos of you dressed up for the gala were stuck in her mind, and on her phone as she looked at the smile on your face, the fight in your eyes.
Your work for the mental health charity dated back before you joined Barcelona, having spent two years in the WSL after moving from the Damallsvenskan. You were younger than Rolfö, who had gone from the Damallsvenskan in Sweden to the Frauen-Bundesliga, but you knew Rolfö from the Swedish national teamâŠÂ
âEy!â Jenni laughed, turning around to find Ana had walked into the back of her. Ana hadnât even realised she was daydreaming about you until she walked into the back of Jenni, who raised an eyebrow, grinning at her friend and teammate.
Whatever Jenni was saying went unheard as Ana spotted Rolfö with her arm around your shoulder, the two of you talking about something in Swedish but you smiled when you met Anaâs gaze.
âHey, did you two hear? Someone brought Scandinavian foods in, they look homemade!â
âI think we will be the judges of that.â You whispered to Rolfö, stealing a wink at Ana before the two of you hurried away to find your fellow Scandinavian teammates on the team and get their opinions on your baking. But none of them knew it was your bakingâŠ
âHmm, could be better.â You murmured but Rolfö elbowed you, a knowing look on her face. Sheâd had this treat once before, but it tasted even better than when you brought some to your first Swedish national camp years ago.
âYou have gotten even better at making these.â Your national teammate whispered in Swedish to you, smiling as you bashfully looked down, trying to ignore the weird moans some of your teammates were making to emphasise how much they liked the anonymously donated baked treats.
âI try my best. Plus, better looking and better tasting, more money for charity.â You replied, your use of Swedish getting the attention of more than just Rolfö, but Caro and Ingrid shrugged it off, choosing to chat to Marta and Mapi, respectively, about the baked treats.
Ana watched from the corner of her eye, holding one of the baked goods in her hands, away from Leila who was about to swipe it.
âWhat do you think? Do you feel tempted by Scandinavian sweet treats now?â You teased Ana later on after practice, not expecting to see her smirk.
âI was feeling tempted by a Scandinavian sweet treat before now.â Anaâs boldness made your spine tingle with goosebumps, her hand drifting up to remove an eyelash from your cheek.
âWhat are you doing tomorrow night?â Biting your lip nervously, you waited for Anaâs answer, but her smile was enough.
âWhat do you have in mind?â
///
What you had in mind was Ana coming around to your place, especially when the restaurant you wanted to originally go to was closed for the evening for a deep clean or something. Or thatâs what your friend (who had attended one of the bake sales you gave baked goods to in order to raise money for charity) said anyway.
One of which was coming up and you wanted to make something for it. The sweet aroma in the air had you cracking open a window, but you kept an eye on the timer, then the clock to check when Ana was arriving.
Glancing through the window of your oven, you observed the rising muffins carefully, taking another glance at the timer before hearing the buzzer go off.
Hurrying over to press the button to let whoever it was into the building, you checked through the peephole as Ana arrived at the door, opening it after taking another glance at the timer in your kitchen.
âHey. I hope itâs okay we eat inâŠâ chewing your lip, you were glad you requested a quiet but cosy and fun night instead of something fancy. The gala wiped out your motivation for fancy fancy right now.
âWell, this place smells amazing, what are you making?â Ana enquired, tilting her head to the side as she heard a timer go off.
âMuffins.â
âA lot of muffins?â Ana raised an eyebrow, but you didnât see how her face lit up with realisation, and intrigue, because you were throwing on your oven gloves and removing the trays of muffins from the oven.
âThese canât be for the teamâŠâ Ana trailed off, having not figured out everything as you smirked slightly.
âNope. My dear Sherlock, you have only figured out half of the puzzle. These are not for the team, these are for a charity bake sale. The team is only allowed the super healthy stuff that has to be approved by the dietitians.â You explained, amused by the look on Anaâs face.
âYou act all tough on the pitch, but you are secretly a sweetheart.â
âSecretly? I mean⊠I keep the baking a secret, I used to volunteer for bake sales for charity before football. When football took off, I changed to doanting the baking anonymously. It means more than just being a face at a gala to me, dressed up in fancy clothing that youâre terrified youâll somehow stain⊠plus my baking doesnât entirely suck. Parents let their children get something from the bake sale⊠and the staff let the team eat what I anonymously donate to the canteen too. My baking isnât poisonous.â
âDid you just compare the team to children?â
âLeila tried to steal your snack out of your hand because you were taking too long to eat it.â You deadpanned, making Ana grin at you in a way that left your cheeks feeling warm.
âSo, what did you have planned for this evening? Besides revealing youâre a sweetheart who likes to bake for charity bake sales in your off time.âÂ
âUm⊠order some takeaway, watch a movie and enjoy the evening with my favourite Swiss national player?â You chewed your lip, draping clean tea towels over the muffins for them to cool down undisturbed.
âWow. Your favourite Swiss national player?â Ana replied, watching you squirm on the spot for a minute, âso what did you want to order? I donât think there are any places that do Swedish desserts though.â
âWow, letâs have dinner first, you have to take me out on a date before you get any Swedish dessert from meâŠâ You murmured, not seeing how Anaâs cheeks were now aflame, as you turned to grab the local takeaway menus you had gathered from your time living in Barcelona.
///
It wasnât much for a first date but Ana liked it enough that she decided to take you out next time for the second one. Especially after the two of you ended up snuggling on your couch, watching a movie and enjoying each otherâs company a little too much.
You had been too nervous to kiss Ana, your confidence in your kissing ability having taken a nosedive. Lingering in the doorway when Ana went to head off for the night, how you chewed nervously at your lip but your gaze kept drifting from her eyes to hers? Ana figured it out. One hand on your hip and the other under your chin, taking a moment for you to nod. Yes you wanted this. Her lips met yours.
///
âWhat is that lovestruck smile for?â Rolfö teased as she found you staring into space, the lovestruck smile that she was referring to painted across your lips.
Pulling your bottom lip between your teeth, you smiled at your national teammate and best friend at the club.
âI had a good time last night.â You replied, spotting Ana arriving at the training pitch with the drinks cooler.
âWith Ana? Finally, you two were taking forever!â
âNobody else knows, weâve only had two dates, and kissed once⊠butâŠâ You trailed off, watching Ana in your periphery.
âBut Iâve never seen you like this about anyone.â Rolfö teased, pulling you into a celebratory hug before everyone was called over to listen to what the coaches had to say for this training session.
///
Nobody else but Rolfö knew, at first anyway. The two of you were taking it slow after spending the Euros away from each other in England, Ana with the Swiss national team and you with the Swedish team. The two of you were keeping it to yourselves, but with a sprinkle of Rolfö teasing you with knowing looks and smiles when you and Ana stood within metres of each other upon reuniting in pre-season at Barcelona.
It wasnât until everyone was eating together in the canteen that someone else noticed how close you and Ana had gotten, as Caro went to pick up her fork from the floor.
Climbing under the table to grab it, the Norwegianâs eyes landed on how Anaâs hand rested on your thigh. Obscured by the table from above, you both thought none of your teammates could see, but Caro had already seen enough.
The last member of the Nordics at Barcelona to find out was Ingrid, but it didnât take long for her to find out either, trying to ask you a question about the movie that you, her, Caro and Rolfö had watched together last night. A question that went entirely unheard by you, because you were completely entranced by Ana, across the room.
âDo you see something you like? You are not subtle.â Ingrid asked, pointing out the obvious as you turned to look at her, looking like a deer caught in headlights.
Instead you were caught ogling your girlfriend but nobody else on the team knew you two were dating, besides each other, and Rolfö.
âI- Iâm thirsty.â You stammered over your words, hurrying away to find your drinks bottle somewhere.
âNot for water.â Ingrid murmured under her breath, rolling her eyes playfully as Mapi approached, missing the context completely as she smiled in confusion at her girlfriendâs statement.
///
None of your other teammates had questioned the closeness between you and Ana, even when you were holding pinkies in the most obvious of moments around the team.
âSurprised you did not invite Ana to tonight.â Caro broke the quiet as the two of you prepped the snacks for movie night for the Nordic Barcelona teammates.
âSheâs busy, and Switzerland and Croatia arenât classed as Northern Europe?â You frowned in confusion, ignoring how you froze and almost dropped the bag of freshly popped popcorn everywhere but the bowl. You hoped your excuse was enough, because technically significant others were not here anyway.
âHer nationality doesnât stop her from having her hand on your thigh at each team meal.â Caro chuckled, but you pretended like you didnât hear her comment, mouthful of the popcorn you took through into the living room.
///
It wasnât until El ClĂĄsico arrived that feelings came to a head. Real Madrid had never been close to a win, their determination, or desperation was showing.
Rolfö had Athenea in her pocket, the younger girl frustrated and almost turning the game into a wrestling match as she struggled.
Your love had managed to get the first goal of the match, not seeing how much her sliding on her knees in celebration had flustered you as Pina had beaten you in the race of being the first to hug her. (You got the photo printed after the match.)
Ana scored 4 minutes in, but the match was dragging out. Real Madridâs desperation was beginning to irritate you as you had your jersey tugged more than once, hands trying to throw you off of balance but it wasnât enough to bring you to your knees, (only Ana could do that) let alone take you down to the ground.
Rolfö crossed the ball in, but one of Real Madridâs defenders got involved, leading to another corner for Barcelona and Mapi to take. It was a scramble as the ball fell down, reaching Patriâs feet but it was caught on a Real Madrid player, whose attempt to get the ball away led the ball to reach you, sending the ball flying in.
You barely had time to react as Ana sweeped you up into her arms, your fingers clinging to her jersey out of instinct as you rested your forehead against hers. Luckily Rolfö managed to reach the two of you in time to break the little moment, Irene moments later pulling you into a hug. But Ireneâs hug didnât have the same meaning that Anaâs did.
Your first goal came at the 43rd minute, but nothing else significant happened before half-time. You could almost taste the intensity of the match, especially the frustration from the Real Madrid team after their centre back, RocĂo GĂĄlvez caught the ball on the back of her heel, resulting in an own goal.
The grabbing and pushing was getting worse after that, looking back on it, you would call the battle you had with your marker more like a deadly tango of sorts, deadly because you were far more bruised than you had been when playing against Levante Las Planas three days prior.
Zornozaâs left footed attempt hit the post in the 58th minute, with the game turning to rough and tumble quickly after. It was during the chaos leading up to Rolföâs goal in the 81st minute that you saw red.
RocĂo GĂĄlvez had sent Ana tumbling to the ground within the penalty area, the referee acting as the whistle was blown, but you took the whistle as one to lunge at GĂĄlvez, only stopping in your tracks as Ana caught you, pulling you into her arms. Holding you close, the referee took time to declare a penalty to Barcelona would be given, the team looking between them for who would be the one to take it.
âTake the penalty for me?â Anaâs voice was all you heard through the ringing in your ears, pulling away from where you had buried your face in Anaâs jersey to look at her and nod. Her fingers reached up to wipe gently under your eyes, cupping your face as you met her gaze. Nodding with determination in your eyes, the two of you had to hurry before you were accused of time wasting.
You didnât see Lucy trying to throw Misa off by doing the same warm-up as the goalkeeper usually did for penalties, standing in wait with a glare on your face.
The memory of you actually kicking the ball was blurry, but you remembered the ball in the net, Misa diving the wrong way and the look of despair on her face before Ana was spinning you around in celebration of your goal.
The memory of the 5-0 victory against Real Madrid was lodged in your mind, but your teammates recalled the game slightly differently compared to you and Ana. Because up until that match, your teammates (minus Rolfö, Caro and Ingrid) had no idea you and Ana were together.
âSince when have you two been a thing?â
âFinally!â
âYou two canât keep secrets from us!â
âThey donât know all our secrets.â You whispered to Ana, gesturing to the mystery that had resulted in you and Ana getting together in the first place. Your baking hobby that had inadvertently led to you catching Anaâs attention after she swore off dating teammates.
Your secret baking hobby had led to you becoming Anaâs sweetheart in all aspects of life. Whilst for you, in addition to all of that, Ana had become your partner in crime helping you prepare for the bake sales you donated your baking to, and becoming your plus one for some of the events you attended as you worked to support mental health charities.

The Wedding Date
Chapter one
Micaellas pov
I get ready to leave my apartment to go to my sanctuary which is right next to the training facility for Barcelona's football teams. I make sure I have everything before I walk out the door and into the hall. After I lock up, I walk down to my car and I unlock my car door and puts my bags inside. I then climb in the drivers seat and i drive to the sanctuary. Once I get there I grab my bags and unlocks my sanctuary door and then I go ahead and feeds all the animals. While i am feeding the animals i start hearing the players show up for training.
I look out the window and I wave over to Cata since we are friends. Cata waves back and I smile wide and then I finally finish feeding the animals. I then start on cleaning the enclosures. While I do that all my animals looks up at me happily. Cata pops her head over scaring me. I scream out in shock putting my hand over my chest and breathing heavily and I say Cata seriously omg. Cata laughed and she said that she just wanted to say hi and ask how the babies are doing. I shake my head and say hi and the babies are good just got fed and now Iâm cleaning their enclosures and then Iâm opening up.
She said okay then Bruna popped up next to her. I laughed and shook my head and said hi bruna did you enjoy your chocolate muffin I baked you. she pouts and says i didn't get a chance to eat it. I say aww Iâm sorry perhaps after training? she says i hope so if its still there since the other girls were eyeing it. I giggled and said if its not I have more at home and you both can come over for dinner you can even invite your team. They both yell sweet and when. I giggled and said you both come over every single night when I cook dinner what time do we usually eat sillyâs.
they say around 6 pm and I smile and say yes thatâs when we will eat dinner. Okay, let your team know and go before you both get in trouble. They both say bye and they jump down. I smile and say bye and I continue to work on cleaning the enclosures. After i finished, I went outside to put the open sign on the door and I saw a lot of people waiting and I smiled and said come on in. They all look at the animals and I tell them some facts about them, their names, ages and where they are from and how Iâm trying to end poaching and get them back to their habitats.
They all start asking questions. I answered all of the questions and after showing the last animal they go to the gift shop and gets their kids their favorite stuffies and I take care of that for them and then they look at the baked goods and buys some too. I sit down and then i hear my name being called so i walked back outside and i say yes cata whats up. Cata says do you still have tours available and the gift shop and I say yeah why? She says the girls would like to come over. I say okay but after your training remember and then I say I have a full house.
She laughs and says i know after training and what do you mean you have a full house. I say thereâs no way anyone else can come inside itâs completely packed right now. She says okay and I giggled and kissed her cheek and say Iâll see you later then. she says okay text me when they leave. I smile and say okay will do and then I walk back in and I see a little girl without their family around looking at the animals and I walk over to her and smiles and says arenât they adorable? She says yeah they are and I smile and say are you alone sweetheart whereâs your mom or your dad? She flinched when I talked about her parents and I say how old are you sweetheart itâs okay your safe here.
she says i am 4 and I say okay sweetheart take my hand and weâll wait until everyone leaves ok. She nods her head and gives me her hand and she then asks whatâs next door. I smile and take her hand and say the Barcelona femeni womanâs team are training right now. She gets excited and says really. I giggle softly and say yes sweetheart and then I look around to see everyone smiling at me and saying goodbye and how much fun they had.
i say i am glad that you guys had a great time and please come again. They smile and say we definitely will thanks again and they all leave and I turn my attention back to the little girl and I say I have some clothes you can wear letâs go to the bathroom okay. She says okay and I smile and Leads her towards the bathroom and I get her cuts cleaned up and her bruises covered. She quietly says thank you. I say your welcome sweetheart can I ask you your name and she says sofia maâam and I smile and say hello sofia Iâm micaella. she says i like your name and I smile wide and say aww thank you sweetheart I like yours more and then I change her clothes and braids her hair.
After I change her clothes and braid her hair she then snuggles into me. I looked down at her surprised and then I asked her why sheâs alone. She says they didnât want me anymore so they kicked me out. I covered my mouth to hide my sobs and I hold onto her and I ask why she has cuts and bruises. She looks down and said they hit me and then kicked me out and I then texted Jonathan asking if I can get one of his medical staff over here and not to tell Bruna or Cata and I hold onto her showing her what love feels like. He texts back saying that the entire medical team is coming over. I say okay thank you so much and then I ask Sofia if itâs okay if a doctor examines you so I know how to help and treat you.
She says okay but please donât leave me. I say I wonât sweetheart I promise letâs go get some food for you . I should still have some muffins. She said okay and then I heard my name being called. I pick her up and she clings onto me and I look up and see the medical staff hi guys thanks for coming so quickly. They all say we came quickly when we heard it was you that needed us. I gently hug them all and say this little one is Sofia. She's 4 years old and her parents physically abused her and kicked her out. I was hoping you guys could check her out for me.

these rare moments II Ana Maria CrnogorÄeviÄ x Reader
a/n: dear readers, enjoy the cozy oneshot and thanks to @unpoppablebubbles, for sending us the request. This will be the only story we publish this week because unfortunately we both got quite sick.
masterlist I word count: 1797
âHola guapa.â
There it was that warm voice and smile youâd recognize everywhere in the world. Alone by hearing her greeting words warmed up your heart.
âAna?â, you replied surprised.
âYes, Iâm home for a few days.â, the Swiss woman explained cheerfully.
âWhy didnât you say anything? Iâd have picked you up from the airport?â, you asked her, pulling your sports bag off your shoulder.
âBecause I know you were busy?â, she answered amusedly pointing towards you, still dressed in Barca training gear.
âI hope you didnât wait for too long.â
âDonât worry about that.â, Ana-Maria shook her head.
âDo you want to go out for dinner or stay in tonight?â, you questioned.
âI thought we could stay in and cook something together.â, the blonde proposed with a big smile on her lips.
âYes, thatâs a nice idea, we werenât able to do this since you moved to..â, you trailed off.
âItâs hard to cook together on two different continents. Unless I make breakfast and you make dinner.â, Ana Maria remarked light-hearted.
âRight.â, you sighed heavily, sadness swinging in your voice.
âBut now Iâm here to cook with you.â, she responded beaming.
âAnd making sure that nothing burns.â, you joked.
âIâd never burn food.â, the older player protested.
âYou wouldnât but Iâd. Remember when we started dating and I tried to make pancakes for you in the morning?â, you reminisced fondly about the beginning of your relationship.
It was a couple of weeks into the football season where Ana Maria was one of the new signings. You had formed a connection to her immediately.
You were the one teaching her Spanish initially but turned out she was skilled at languages and asked you on a date in your native language not long after the start of your lessons.
The first night she slept over at your home you wanted to treat her to pancakes in the morning which turned out to be a terrible mistake.
âYes, they were all burned. I think you have to show me tomorrow if youâve learned it by now.â, Ana Maria suggested smirking.
âIâll.â, you promised.
âBut first, letâs make dinner. Bet youâre starving from training.â, the blonde grinned, leading you to your kitchen.
While she was cutting the vegetables you jumped on to the kitchen counter.
âIâm, the kids are getting younger and younger, and I just feel old and exhausted after training.â, you admitted half-joking half serious.
âOh, please. I know for a fact that you can still keep up with them easily.â, Ana Maria looked up at you with amusement.
âYou do, hm? Are you trying to watch as many games as you can?â, you wanted to know curiously before helping her to cook.
Your girlfriend nodded with a proud smile: âOf course. Even if I miss them, I make sure to watch the highlights.â
âI do the same with yours.â, you admitted. Your heart suddenly beat a bit faster.
She laughed: âYou do?â
âOf course. Wine to celebrate our reunion?â, you suggested innocently.
As you expected, she agreed: âSure.â
There was a bottle of red wine in your cabinet that you had kept for a special occasion. And this occasion seemed very appropriate for it.
You poured two glasses of wine and slid one over to Ana Maria.
The food simmered on the stove as you both sat down at the kitchen table, talking about the past few month without each other.
The bottle emptied with time and your cheeks got warmer with every sip. The alcohol started to take effect and you could feel your brain move on to more pressing topics, topics you had to try to ignore for the past months.
âHave you thought about what youâre going to do after Seattle?â, you heard yourself ask.
You girlfriend studied your face for a moment before shrugging: âI donât know. Why?â
âJust curious.â, you replied, painting small circles on the kitchen table with your fingertips.
âIâd love to come back to Europe but you know⊠got to take what I am offered.â
Her voice was unusually quiet like she herself was worried about what would be coming next in her career. Or if anything would be coming next.
You looked back at her again and were surprised to find a fine line between her eyebrows. More evidence that she had thought about this topic more than once too.
You took a deep breath: âYes, I know⊠I thought maybe I could join you wherever you will go next.â
There was silence on Ana Marias side. She blinked at you for a moment. âYouâre ready to potentially leave Spain?â
âY-yes.â, you nodded. You hated the way your voice trembled. You were absolutely sure about that decision. You loved Spain but you loved being with your girlfriend a lot more.
She reached across the table, wrapping your hand into her own with a gentle smile: âOkay. We can see if we find a team that takes us both.â
You found the courage to smile back at her: âAlright.â
âI think that sounds like we have a deal. Cheers to that.â
She lifted her glass, clinking it against yours.
âCheers.â
Relief washed over you, leaving you with a warm calmness. The past few months doing long-distance across two continents had been hard. Ana Marias absence in your shared apartment in Barcelona had haunted you more than you liked to admit.
âShit, the food!â, your girlfriend suddenly called out. Before you knew what was going on, she jumped out of her chair and pulled the pan from the stove top.
You followed her, taking a look at the food and sighed when you saw that it hadnât burned yet: âJust in time.â
âThat was lucky.â, the Swiss player whistled, clearly relived seeing the dinner being unscathed.
With an amused twinkle in her eyes Anna Maria added. âYou want to try it?â
A little moan escaped your lips after you took the first bite. Blushing you pressed a hand to your mouth. âStill tastes delicious.â, you confirmed smiling sheepishly.
Your girlfriendsâ eyes had wandered off to the refrigerator where Mateos latest masterpiece was hanging.
âThatâs from Mateo.â, you explained beaming proudly.
âHeâs gotten so good at drawing. Itâs very impressive.â, the blonde observed with a pinch of hurt in her voice.
You silently agreed.
âPlease videocall me next time you babysit him.â, she wished.
âOh, heâll love that, Mateo misses you almost as much as I do.â, you confessed to her.
âYou two are the cutest.â, Ana Maria chirmed, kissing your cheek lovingly. The older woman paused for a moment before continuing. âWhat would you like to do next?â
âYou mean after dinner?â, you returned the question smirking.
âYes, I mean Iâve to keep you as entertained as Mateo does.â, she insisted, a grin playing on her lips.
âThere are many ways to entertain me. When you were in Seattle what did you want to do with me?â, you asked curiously.
âYou want to know what I actually missed the most?â, the Swiss woman lifted an eyebrow playfully.
âYes.â
âCuddle under the sheets and watch a movie.â, Ana Maria admitted.
It was true when she awoke after a sleepless night in her bed in Seattle and the worries about her future were too heavy on her shoulders, she craved you laying next to her, telling her that everything would be alright.
âThis sounds like the perfect ending to this evening if you ask me.â, you replied earnestly. You loved your team, but with a lot of them being in a relationship with a teammate made you feel a little lonely knowing that no one will wait for you when your home.
âI hoped youâd say that.â
âCome on, Iâll light some candles and turn on the fairly lights in the bedroom.â, you guided her softly to your bedroom.
âPerfect. Iâm coming.â, Ana Maria hummed excitedly.
While you both had settled underneath the blanket, you put your head on to her chest. âCozy, isnât it?â
âI missed this.â, she said, her hand stroking your hair soothingly. To your girlfriend nothing felt more like home as you. Only the Swiss seas and alps were almost close so was her family. Spanish was her romantic language, the way to your loversâ heart.
You inhaled her delicious scent, your eyes slowly falling, already half asleep.
âBuenas noches mi amor.â, Ana Maria whispered.
âTĂș tambiĂ©n.â
The next morning, you were woken up by the sun beams falling through the window onto your face. As you turned to Ana Maria, you realized that she was still sleeping peacefully, her body fully relaxed next to yours. You immediately knew that similar to you, she was having the best sleep she had in months.
With a smile, you peeled the sheets off of yourself and climbed out of bed, careful not to wake her up. With bare feet, you snuck into your kitchen to make breakfast. The coffee brewed on the side while you got started on the pancakes, determined to prove your girlfriend that you got better at making them.
You usually served your pancakes with powdered sugar and syrup but you knew Ana Maria liked hers with jam, so you arranged all of the toppings on a tray with the pancakes and the coffee to carry it over to the bedroom.
Your girlfriend blinked awake as you walked in, taking in the smell of breakfast that filled your apartment.
âGood morning.â, you smiled.
Ana Maria yawned: âGood morning. You made pancakes?â
âI did.â, you confirmed with the tiniest bit of pride.
âAnd theyâre not burned?â, she asked with a laugh.
You shrugged slightly and set the tray down on the bed: âYou need to try them.â
As you slipped under the covers again, Ana Maria tore a piece of the first pancake and chewed on it. âOh wow, theyâre delicious.â, she finally agreed.
You grinned at her: âSee? I got better.â
âYou did.â
There was a moment of comfortable silence as you both dug in before the pancakes could get cold.
You felt Ana Maria stop next to you and as you looked up, she stared at you.
You frowned at her: âWhat?â
âWait.â, she said, her hand reaching out to remove some jam from the corner of your mouth.
You could feel the heat rise into your cheeks.
âOh thanks.â, you laughed.
âYouâre welcome.â
âYou know what I missed? Those lazy mornings.â, you told her, biting you lip.
Ana Maria nodded slowly: âMe too. And I canât wait to have more of those with you soon.â
âSame.â, you beamed and held up your coffee cup so Ana Maria could clink hers against it in a toast.
Maybe this was only for now but you decided to see this morning as a taste of your future together.

Surprise Visits (Pt. 2)
Ana-Maria CrnogorÄeviÄ x Reader
Word Count: 676
A/N: Everyone thank the reign girls for this
Part One
[WOSO Masterlist]
Getting traded while at camp is never a good feeling.Â
Youâre in the middle of trying to convince Emily not to put dye into Roseâs shampoo bottle when the notification goes off. You donât think twice about it, or about the way your phone keeps buzzing until you put it on silent without even sparing it a glance. You donât think about it when the two of you are strolling into a film session, when everyoneâs looking at you with wide and pitiful eyes.Â
âDid I run over Wilma without knowing?â you whisper to Sonnett, ignoring the snicker and elbow it earns you.Â
âAre you okay?â Rose asks instead, ignoring your joke.Â
You cock your head at her, confused. âWhy wouldnât I be?â
It makes everyone else uneasy how unbothered you seem to be about the whole thing.Â
Sure, knowing you have only a week to pack up your life and move across the country after finishing up in Paris is never the best feeling, but knowing what is waiting for you in rainy Seattle is a much better one.Â
The next day when the pictures go up, thatâs when the confusion settles in.Â
âWhen did you go down to Seattle?âÂ
Itâs clearly you in the picture, signing the contract, smiling at the camera with a jersey with your last name on the back, touring the stadium. You shrug but say nothing else.
So maybe youâve known about this trade for a while now. And maybe you took some time to explore the city before you left for the farewell tour. Thereâs already an apartment with your name on it, perfect for two, and in a nice part of Seattle.Â
It settles in then that you never quite got around to telling your friends about this.Â
âOh right⊠surprise?â
When Seattle announces Anaâs contract days later, Lynn tracks you down before punching you right in the arm. âDitching us to go be with your wife? Uncalled for.â
You roll your eyes before wiggling your bare hand at her. âNo ring, no wife.â
âYet,â she corrects. âRepeat after me, âno ring, no wife yetâ.â
When all is said and done and youâre flying to Seattle with a new medal in tow, Ana picks you up at the airport.Â
Youâve already told her she didnât need to, but your girlfriend is nothing if not a gentlewoman so sheâs already waiting by the carousel when you get out.Â
You all but collapse into her arms, soaking in everything thatâs your girlfriend as she tightens her arms around you. Thereâs a warmth tingling from your head where sheâs planted a kiss, and you tighten the grip you have on the back of her shirt. If it was up to you youâd never move, but eventually the exhaustion of nearly a month long tournament catches up to you and you pull back to start wheeling your luggage towards the exit.Â
Before you can take another step Anaâs ducking down.Â
Your eyes flutter close when she presses the softest kiss against your lips. You sigh out happily, not missing the smile on Anaâs face when the two of you finally pull apart again.Â
âYou ready to go home?â
Itâs not hard to imagine the messy clutter of shoes that will be strewn by the front door, and the inevitable way Ana will get annoyed and chuck them into the closet. The two toothbrushes that will be sitting side by side on the bathroom sink, one in each of your favorite colors. Your king size bed will no longer be too big, forever warm and always smelling like your favorite person. Of course youâre going to need a new place to hide the ring thatâs currently sitting in the bottom of a box back in New York but thatâs something you can figure out on the fly when you finally get everything moved in.Â
You can already imagine just how nice of a life youâre going to have here in Seattle with Ana.Â
And all of that sounds⊠perfect.
You grin. âLetâs go.â

Silent Treatment // Ona Batlle
a/n: based off this request. Hope you enjoy it :D
You were talking to Ana-Maria, one of your closest friends at Barcelona as Ona showed up. She had a wrinkle between her brows, a sign that sheâs mad or concentrated but If she was concentrated her tongue would stick out too which wasnât the case. The spaniard went immediately to Aitana, not sparing you a glance. You frowned yet not giving it too much thought. Maybe she didnât see you.
Spoiler: she did see you and ignored you, who wouldâve thought.
Practice wasn't too exhausting, it was mostly in the gym due the intense sessions you had the last few days.
As you finished your exercise you saw your girlfriend standing next to the medicine ball about to do her next exercise. Quickly, you walked over to her, "hey, do you wanna grab some food later? There is this new little restaurant" you asked. The spaniard didnât answer, just walking past you as she brushed you off. Helplessly, you looked around, Ana reacting with a shrug. Your palms started to get sweaty as your breathing got faster. You hated it when people ignored you, especially If it was your girlfriend, she had never done it before.
Being ignored had always stressed you out. It started early in your childhood. If you did something wrong, your parents would punish you by ignoring you for days if not weeks. They weren't the nicest parents but made sure there was food on the table and that you had everything you needed. Their punishment was for sure questionable, you still suffered from it.
You hated silence, it made you feel ignored - punished. When you had your own apartment, the radio played 24/7. Music was constantly playing in the car and when you were somewhere else where you didn't know if it was going to be quiet, you always had two pairs of headphones with you, in case one pair wouldnât work. But sounds like birds chirping, leaves rustling in the wind or other peopleâs conversation calmed you down. You loved these kind of noises.
Silence was your biggest enemy.
Again, Ona was talking to Aitana as they did the drill together. Ona was upset about something, gesticulating out of rage while Aitana tried to calm her down - with no success. You were standing lost in the middle of the gym as your teammates looked confused at you, your eyes drained on your girlfriend, her friend sending you a mean glare. Your thumb started to count your fingers, a habit of yours. Youâre getting anxious.
Thumb to index finger.
Thumb to middle finger.
Thumb to ring finger.
Thumb to pinkie.
And the other way around.
The next time you saw the brunette alone was in the changing room, your teammates were still outside while Ona went to grab something. You followed her.
"Ona?"
She was startled, her hand resting above her heart as she breathed loudly, "Is everything alright?" Without even acknowledging you, she walked right past you. Again. Grumbling angrily under her breath she marched out of the locker room, leaving you alone. In silence.
Your mind was spinning, what did you do wrong? Why was she ignoring you? Was she about to break up with you?
Thumb to index finger.
Thumb to middle finger.
Thumb to ring finger.
Thumb to pinkie.
Not liking the silence you left, your studs making noises on the tiles.
"Did she say something?" the swiss international asked as you joined the group again. You shook your head as reply. "Itâs gonna be fine" pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead, she hugged you. What you didn't know was that Ona was watching you closely, feeling jealous but not jealous of Ana. She knew sheâs like a big sister to you.
When training was called to an end, everybody made their way to the changing room and showers. "Do I see you at home?" you tried one last time, not much hope left that she would answer. As she looked away you had your answer, you grabbed your bag, said a loud goodbye to the girls and left.
Why wasnât she talking to you?
The whole way home you thought about what you could have done wrong, the music only playing very quietly in the background, almost inaudible.
As you arrived at home, you dropped your bag on the floor, not caring If it was in the way. You sat down at the kitchen table but didnât turn on the radio like you normally would when Ona wasnât there. You sat there in silence, accepting your punishment.
Ona was mad at you - you must get punished.
Your brain was working overtime, your mind was spinning, your anxiety got worse and your heart felt pain.
Thumb to index finger.
Thumb to middle finger.
Thumb to ring finger.
Thumb to pinkie.
Two hours later, Ona finally came home. She had expected to hear music, instead there was silence. A strange feeling came over her. Are you not at home?
You heard the keys in the lock but didn't turn around. Ona would ignore you anyway. When she entered your home the silence was loud, too loud. Your girlfriend stared at your back, slowly taking off her shoes. You heard her walking further into the room, the silence gone. For once you didn't know if that was a good sign.
"Are you breaking up with me?"
Silence.
She stopped in her tracks. "¿Qué?", it was the first time you heard her voice this day, it was as beautiful as always.
You couldn't take it anymore, you started crying. Your body shook violently, her heart aching seeing you like this. "Mi amor," with a few quick steps she was beside you, her hands pulling yours out of your face "no, no, no" she said as she placed herself on your lap. "But-"
"Iâm an idiot"
"You ignored me the whole day, why?" you looked so sad, the spaniard wanted to slap herself. Why didnât she talk to you? "I donât like being ignored"
The defender wanted to slap herself twice as hard. She knew about your childhood but she was too caught up in her anger that she forgot how ignoring you made you feel. "lo siento, mi amor, i was just so angry"
"At me?"
"SĂ, lo siento" your crying had stopped but why was she angry at you? Your hands were resting on your stomach, not knowing if you should touch her or if you wanted to touch her. "Why?"
She sighed, leaning her forehead against yours, "Last night, you didnât give me a good night kiss and this morning I had to wake up alone. I feel like ever since iâm back I just live in your home. That you liked our long distance relationship more" she admitted.
Ona and youâve been a couple since two and a half years. You met at United, her first season while it was your last.
Since you were little you wanted to play for Barcelona and as they approached you, you couldnât reject them. Your transfer to Barca was settled. However, that wasn't a reason for you to break up, her plan was to return home anyways at some point - which she now did.
It felt surreal to you. She was back here, in your arms, "Iâm sorry. This is all so new to me. We live together, I've never lived with anyone before and I need to get used to the fact that you're really here. Sometimes iâm afraid when I wake up that youâre not here. That youâre back in Manchester. Iâm sorry for making you feel like I donât want you here. Because I do, I really do."
Her hands caressed your cheeks, your hands finding their way around her torso, wanting to feel her touch. You looked in her eyes, then to her lips and back to her eyes. You wanted to kiss her. "Iâm not going anywhere." she declared as you leaned forward, connecting your lips for the first time since yesterday.
The kiss was soft and gentle, unspoken words spoken. "Te amo" the spaniard whispered as her lips ghosted over yours, about to re-connect them.
"I love you too"
That night, Ona promised herself that she would never ignore you again, she loved you too much to see you cry.

Another Chance to Live Part 4 (Ana Maria CrnogorÄeviÄ x Reader)
Summary: Ana and you finally start dating.
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
A/N: Look at me sticking to my upload schedule. Although I might be able to publish the final two parts earlier since I had more time to write because I had to cancel some plans thanks to conjunctivitis.
I hope you enjoy these two finally getting together. As always, happy to hear what you think :)
After your conversation with Jenni you continued to sit on the couch, staring at your phone as if the device would be any help in figuring out how to ask Ana out.
As it turned out, it actually did. While you were still contemplating, weighing the pros and cons of every option, your phone buzzed with an incoming message. Your heart skipped a bit when you saw it was from Ana, just like it always did. And your heart definitely skipped more than one beat once you read the message.
You read the words over and over again, finding it impossible to believe this was actually happening. For so long you had told yourself there would never be anything more than friendship between you and Ana, and now all of the sudden your whole world had been turned upside down in the best way possible.
A little birdie just told me about the conversation you had.
Hope you donât mind she told me.
Jenni said you didnât tell her not to tell me, so she thought it was fair game.
Anyway, what do you say about changing our hangout tomorrow to an official date?
You know as a date, as more than friends.
Anaâs reply was almost instant.
Of course I donât mind, it makes my life a lot easier!
I really owe that birdie, but donât tell her that.
And yes, Iâd love to do that!
You quickly texted back that you were excited about it as well, before putting away your phone grinning like a fool. Â You felt like you were floating on a cloud of happiness, something that you hadnât experience in a long, long time, maybe never to this degree. Â
Great, Iâll pick you up at 7 tomorrow.
Already looking forward to it.
---
The next day you got more and more nervous the closer the time for Ana to pick you up came. However, whenever the anxiety threatened to become overwhelming, you just thought about the Swiss woman; how happy you always were in her presence and how at ease she made you feel, as if you were perfect just the way you were. Every time you did that you immediately felt much calmer; less anxious nervous and much more joyful excited.Â
Still, it took you forever to pick out an outfit, mentally thanking Ana that she had texted you earlier in the day to at least let you know what style of clothes you should be wearing, elegant but not overly fancy. In the end you settled on a black dress because you could never go wrong with that, and it did show off your body in the best way possible.
Even with all the internal debating about your outfit you ended up being ready almost 30 minutes before the pickup time, because you had started so early. Therefore you settled down on the couch, trying and failing to distract yourself with your phone.
Only a few minutes passed before there was a knock on the door. With a frown you went to open it, hoping it wasnât your parents with some sort of request to help them out. You definitely didnât have time to do that right now.
However, when you opened the door and laid eyes on Ana your frowned turned into a big smile. You were always happy to see her, but tonight even more so. Finally you got to be with her in the way you wanted, no more pretending to be just friends.
âHi,â you greeted her, too distracted by the blondeâs mere presence to wonder why she was here so early.
âHi,â Ana echoed, stepping forward to hug you. You melted into the embrace and turned your face inwards against her neck, relishing in the fact that you didnât have to suppress gestures like this any longer.
âReady to go?â The Swiss woman asked you after a bit.
You nodded, grabbing the bag you had conveniently placed next to the door. When you turned back towards Ana, she reached out offering you her hand. You instantly laced your fingers through hers, the small contact filling you with warmth and an overwhelming sense of belonging right there in this moment.
When you were getting into the car you heard the church bells ring and suddenly realized how early the Swiss woman had been. It wasnât like she was known for being unpunctual, but also she wasnât usually this early.
âHow come you were here this early? Did I have the time wrong?â
That seemed like the most logical explanation, even though you had checked the time in Anaâs text about at dozen times.
âWell, I knew youâd be ready early and I didnât want to make you wait unnecessarily and maybe get anxious.â
Your heart melted at this. It was so thoughtful of Ana and it showed how well she already knew you. This fact put you even more at ease. There was no need to pretend or try to show yourself in the most favorable light, this woman already knew you and somehow she still liked you.
âPlus I was excited to go out with my friend,â the blonde continued.
For a second your stomach dropped at the last word, but when you looked over and saw the humor in Anaâs eyes you recognized that she was just teasing you.
âI guess I deserve that,â you conceded, âAnd for the record I never wanted you to be just my friend.â
You were a little surprised by your own boldness. However, Ana made you feel like it was not only okay to say what you were thinking, but that it was in fact exactly what the Swiss woman wanted.
âThatâs good to know,â Ana stated, sounding much more serious all of the sudden as if she still hadnât been totally sure about your feelings.
Suddenly you felt a little silly for not taking into account that other people got insecure as well. You had been so focused on yourself, that you had never considered how it must have been for the Swiss woman to constantly hear you emphasize that you were merely friends.
âIâm sorry about that, I just didnât think there was any possibility youâd ever like me too,â you apologized.
Ana looked over at you sadly. âI know, but weâll work on that,â she promised.
âOn what?â
âOn the way you see yourself! Donât think I missed how you didnât believe me when I told you that everyone I know on the Spanish national team likes you and is always looking forward to seeing you,â the blonde elaborated.
You didnât quite know how to react to such blatant flattery. Most likely this was just Ana being sweet, but you couldnât lie, it was still nice to hear.
âSee, youâre doing it again. You donât believe me,â Â the blonde accused you softly. Â
You whipped your head around to look at Ana, shocked that she could read you so easily. Up until now you had always prided yourself on having a good poker face, but apparently the Swiss woman saw right through it.
She didnât say anything else though, merely smiling at you gently. The silence gave you the time you needed to gather your thoughts. Once again you found yourself being surprisingly honest.
âItâs just because Iâm nothing special, Iâm just me. Iâm too quiet and not very interesting. Itâs not like I think everyone hates more or anything. But why would anyone particularly like me?â
In your opinion you had made a good point, but Anaâs eyes were filled with disapproval and sadness on your behalf.
âBecause youâre a great person! You always have an open ear for everyone. If thereâs anything you can do to help someone, you do it without hesitation. You have such a good heart and youâre so mindful of everyone around you, doing your best to make everyone feel seen and heard.â
âSure you donât talk everyoneâs ears off as soon as you meet them, but once youâre more comfortable? You tell great stories that always make me feel as if Iâm right there with you and I love hearing what you think about things because I can tell that you took your time to form opinions. And to see you speak passionately about the things you care, thatâs just something else!â
âAlso, I love how much you appreciate the beauty around you. Going somewhere with you is such a treat because you will always point out the pretty flowers, the interesting cloud constellation or the cute dog you see with so much joy and reverence.â
âAnd letâs not forget that youâre gorgeous. You have the most beautiful and kindest eyes I have ever seen and donât even get me started about your smile!â
You were overwhelmed by how easily, without even thinking about it first, the Swiss woman managed to list all of these nice qualities. It made you more inclined to believe her. At the very least Ana had you convinced that she meant every word she had said, and that in itself was a good feeling, even if you werenât convinced all of this was actually, objectively true.
âI could keep talking all night long about all the reasons why I like you so much, but I guess you wouldnât really appreciate that. So instead Iâll keep bringing it up for as long as youâll let me be a part of your life, which Iâm hoping will be a very long time,â Ana concluded.
âThatâs probably a good idea, otherwise youâll spend the rest of the evening with a tomato head,â you joked.
You had always hated how easily you turned red, your frustration usually only making it worse.
âI wouldnât complain about that for a second, I find your blushing adorable,â Ana commented, which of course only made you blush even more, but for once you didnât mind as much.
You arrived at your destination soon after, and you immediately recognized the place from pictures you had seen of Lola and her girlfriend. So the mystery of how the blonde had chosen where to take you was solved. You had never actually been to the restaurant yourself since it was very romantic and mostly frequented by couples, but you had heard good things about it.
By the end of the evening you could definitely confirm that all the praise you had been told about the restaurant was justified. Although in all honesty every place would have felt like heaven to you when it was the location of your first date with Ana.
The conversation stayed mostly light and happy for the first half and hour, both of you enjoying each otherâs company and this new and exciting situation. In a lot of ways it wasnât all that different, you talked as easily as before, the conversation flowing effortlessly. So once again you realized that you had gotten into your heard for nothing. Things werenât awkward or weird at all, like you had been concerned about.
Sure, there were some differences, all of them positive though; the way you kept slipping from normal conversation into light flirting, how you just gazed deep into each other eyes a few of times, and the way Ana placed her hand onto yours and left it there as long as she possibly could, sighing when she had to retract it because you both needed your hands to eat.
âSo do you want to talk about the national team?â You asked, once the last of your nervousness had settled.
Ana shrugged her shoulders unsurely, smile dropping from her face. You had to fight the urge to take it back and apologize for probing; reminding yourself about the conversation you had had after the game against Barcelona. It was okay to ask, and if the Swiss woman actually didnât want to talk about it, she would tell you. Still, this went entirely against your instinct.
âItâs just such a frustrating situation. Inka is a horrible coach! At least for us, maybe itâs just not a good fit, I donât know, but for us it doesnât work. Weâre playing badly and the atmosphere at camp isnât how it used to be. Donât get me wrong, itâs nothing like what I heard about Spain, but everyone was kind of in a state of constant annoyance and was so happy when we could leave.â
âAnd the worst thing is that the home Euros is coming closer everyday and I wanted that to be the crowning moment of my career. Maybe thatâs selfish, I donât know, but now? Now I think itâs going to be nightmare, if I even get to go at all,â Ana finished her rant that had began passionate and angry, but fizzled out into something more like helplessness.Â
Exactly like after the game against Barcelona the Swiss woman looked drained, her shoulders slumped and her smile no longer reaching her eyes. It made you simultaneously want to give her the longest hug in the world and go and punch Inka in the face.
However, since you were still sitting in the restaurant you settled on reaching over and giving her hand a good squeeze, before doing your best to come up with a good response.
âIâm so sorry things are like that and Iâm always here to listen if you need to rant about it or hold you if you need to cry. Trying to keep in your emotions isnât healthy.â
That was probably one of the most hypocritical things you had ever said, you who always held your emotions in until you felt like imploding. However, theoretically you knew that wasnât a helpful thing to do, so you werenât going to advise someone else to do that.
âAnd I can help you figure out if thereâs anything you and the girls can do. I did a lot of reading and looking things up when everything was going down with Spain. Of course itâs a totally different system, but Iâm still happy to help out,â you offered.
A soft smile, a real smile, one that made Anaâs eyes shine, returned to the blondeâs face.
âI appreciate how much you care. That means more than I can ever express with words. To be honest weâve already started looking into what our options are and have been talking with the Swiss federation. So maybe itâs not quite as hopeless as it feels right now. The next few weeks should give us an answer to that,â Ana told you.
You felt some relief at that. Surely there was no way the Swiss federation would be as difficult and idiotic as the Spanish one. Right? Therefore things would hopefully be sorted out before too long and Ana would get the home Euros she deserved.
âThatâs good. Iâm confident things will turn out okay,â you said with more confidence than you actually felt. But Ana didnât need to know that. If you were wrong in the end you would deal with it then, right now the best thing you could do was strengthen her hope.
âYeah?â The Swiss woman double-checked, confirming to you that this was actually the right thing to do.
âDefinitely,â you assured her, praying to a god you didnât believe in that you wouldnât be proven wrong.
âI think so too,â Ana admitted quietly, as if she was scared to say it too loudly out of fear of jinxing it.
âNow letâs talk about other things. I donât want Inka to ruin the mood on my date as well, she has done enough of that during camp. How about we focus on your national camp instead? I heard you almost made Jenni rip out her own hair with your cluelessness,â the Swiss woman teased with a big grin.
Your first instinct was to tell Ana that it was totally fine to keep talking about the situation with her national team, that it wouldnât ruin anything. But then she mentioned Jenni and all the teasing you had endured, and all of the sudden you wanted to beg her to continue talking about the Swiss team. Anything to avoid speaking about how oblivious you had been.
âCome on, letâs be honest Jenni would never rip out her precious hair or do anything else to ruin her looks,â you deflected, basking in the sound of Anaâs laughter. You would never get tired of making the blonde laugh.
You kept up the banter for a bit, before you remembered a specific thing you had been fretting about for the last 24 hours. It probably wasnât something you should bring up on the first date, or maybe it was exactly the kind of thing you had to mention on the first date. You still hadnât made up your mind about that.
All you knew was that in that moment, feeling happy and secure in Anaâs presence, you wanted to talk about it. And maybe it was time to do what you wanted more often and worry less about whether it was the ânormalâ thing to do. What was normal anyway?
âThereâs something I need to tell youâ, you blurted out, kicking yourself for making it sound so ominous. No one ever said âI need to tell you somethingâ about unimportant stuff.
âOf course, Iâm all ears,â Ana replied, smiling at you encouragingly.
âOkay, soâŠâ You swallowed, trying to gather yourself. âIâve never been in a serious relationship before. I mean Iâve dated and had flings and such, but never a serious long term relationship. And I donât know it thatâs a problem for you. I would totally understand if it was. And maybe I shouldnât even have brought it up tonight, so Iâm sorry if Iâm making this awkward. Although if it is a problem then it was probably good I told you today. IâŠâ
âSchatz,â Ana interrupted you. You didnât really know any German, let alone Swiss German, but you were fairly certain you remembered this one. The use of a sweet pet name relaxed you significantly; she wouldnât do that if this was in fact a deal breaker.
âI donât care about that in the slightest. Iâve never been in a relationship with you either, so that will be brand new for me too. Weâll figure it out together,â the Swiss woman promised.
âTogether,â you echoed. You loved the sound of that.
---
As time passed and more dates followed it became clear that Ana had been right. Things between the two of you just progressed naturally and not once did you feel out of your depth because of your lack of experience with relationships.
You shared a magical first kiss on a walk through the city after your second date. Anaâs lips felt pleasantly warm on yours in the chilly night air. After that all dams were broken and you spent a lot of time kissing like two hormonal teenagers, slowly or more precisely pretty rapidly moving on to other activities.
After the first time you slept together, the two of you lay in Anaâs bed facing each other. The Swiss woman gently traced her thumb over your forehead and your cheek, looking at you lovingly. Although you did your best to avoid using this word for anything to do with Ana just yet. It was too early to even think about love.
âAre you okay? Was this okay?â The blonde whispered, her eyes serious and for some reason slightly worried.
You stared at her in surprise. Could she not see how happy and satisfied you were, how cherished and lo- adored you felt?
âThis was perfect and I feel amazing. You know I had sex before, right?â
Suddenly you werenât sure if you had been clear about that. Maybe you had given Ana the impression that you werenât just a relationship virgin, but an all around virgin.
âYeah, yeah, I know, but still this is a big step and I just wanted to check in. Itâs different when feelings are involved,â Ana elaborated.
For a moment you just grinned at her like an idiot. If you thought you had been feeling lo-, adored before, it was nothing to how you felt now.
âYouâre just the absolute sweetest, tesoro. And youâre totally right, it is different. So much better! I canât wait to go again, but right now I need some sleep. Someone wore me out.â
You looked at her pointedly, but that quickly changed into a smile when you saw how proud of herself Ana looked.
âIn that case, sleep, mi Schatz. Because I definitely need you to be ready for another round soon,â Ana said, pulling you against her and kissing your forehead.
It took you all of five seconds before you fell into a peaceful slumber, your face buried in Anaâs neck.
---
However, you were right too, about everything sorting itself out with the Swiss national team. You were eating lunch at Realâs training ground when you heard, willing the time to move faster because tonight you would finally see Ana again. The two of you hadnât been able to meet up the last few days because of insanely busy and conflicting schedules.
So when your phone buzzed with a message from Ana your heart fluttered happily. Hearing from her was always the highlight of your day. Things at Real were still less than ideal. You didnât feel connected to the team, most of them still seeing you as âthat AltĂ©tico playerâ.
You were well aware that you were to blame for that as much as anyone, maybe even more so. Your efforts to integrate into the team had been minimal to say the least. And you felt a fair bit of anger at yourself for being so unprofessional, but somehow that still wasnât enough to change anything. You just didnât want to be there. It was as simple as that. And you could pretend, but you couldnât change your actual feeling.
Day after day you forced yourself to be perfectly punctual, train hard, listen to the game plans and analyses, but there was no joy to any of it. Not even when you played games, something that you had always loved before. You were simply going through the motions.
At least you were having a pretty good season; otherwise your disappointment with yourself would have been through the roof.
When you checked your phone you saw that it was a screenshot announcing Inkaâs departure from the Swiss national team. A happy squeal escaped you, everyone turning to look at you. It wasnât like you to be loud, especially not in a cheerful way.
âWhat is it?â Misa asked curiously.
You simply showed her your phone, a smile appearing on the goalkeeperâs face.
âThis is great news,â she agreed.
âAmazing news,â you corrected.
Now you were even more excited to see Ana later that night and celebrate this special occasion.
You were happy that you had decided to meet up at your place; this gave you the opportunity to prepare something special. However, you didnât have much time, so you found yourself standing in the store after training looking around frantically and blanking on what to do.
The first idea that came to mind was to get a cake with a message like âSheâs gone!â on it. But you seriously doubted that you would get one on such short notice. Also a whole cake for just the two of you didnât sound like a good plan.
So maybe just a card? What kind of card though? You had some strong suspicions that there wasnât anything like an âIâm so happy you got rid of your stupid national coachâ-card.Â
You could practically feel the seconds ticking by, getting more and more anxious by the minute. Time was running out and you still didnât have the slightest idea what to do.
Noticing how tense you had become you forced yourself to exhale slowly and relax your body, starting with your jaw and slowly progressing downwards. There was no reason to get so stressed about this. Ana wouldnât expect any grand gestures; you wouldnât disappoint here no matter what you did or didnât do.
As you calmed down the fog in your brain lifted and you regained the ability to make decisions. After having a swift look around you settled on buying the ingredients for Anaâs favorite meal, as well as two caramel cupcakes. As a last minute decision you added two candles to put on the cupcakes, one an I and one a G. This way you could literally get the satisfaction of seeing Inka Gringâs legacy go up in smoke.
Later that evening Ana arrived at your apartment with a bright smile on her face and some extra pep in her steps. She immediately pulled you into a tight hug, rocking the both of you excitedly from side to side.
âIâm so happy for you,â you told her, leaning back slightly to beam at her, before getting closer again and peppering her face with light kisses.Â
This made Ana giggle. âAnd you know what makes me happy?â She gasped.
You stopped your kisses and tilted your head, unsure of where the Swiss woman was going this. It didnât seem like the kind of question she would ask if the answer was the obvious one; Inka leaving. Â
âThat you are so happy for me. It means the world  to me that you care so deeply, about both the good and the bad things happening in my life,â Ana clarified.
A blush cropped up on your face and you moved to hide your face in Anaâs neck, but the Swiss woman gently stopped you
âDonât. You know I love your blush,â she murmured, placing her hands on your slightly pink cheeks and taking in every inch of your face. âSo beautiful.â
Of course that only made you blush more. Ana winked at you, but didnât stop you when you once again stepped forward to bury your face in her shoulder.
The two of you spent a nice evening together; spirits were high all around thanks to the good news. Ana showered you in compliments for your cooking and when you brought out the cupcakes she burst into laughter.
âI love this! Like a cleansing from Inka,â she said in between laughing.
âShhh, this is a serious matter,â you chastised her playfully.
âOh sorry,â the blonde replied, forcing a solemn expression onto her face.
However, it only lasted for all of five seconds before the huge smile that had been on her face all night long returned. You wouldnât be complaining about that though. A happy Ana made you happy.
âTo the end of the unfortunate Inka-area and to a better future for your national team,â you announced, lighting the two candles on fire. âMake a wish!â
Ana leaned forward and blew out the candles with closed eyes. Then she turned to you. âDo you want to know what I wished for?â
You shook your head firmly. âNo! Otherwise it wonât come true.â
Ana smirked. âToo bad because it involves you.â
âWait really? Then I change my mind and want to know,â you backtracked, mentally running through everything she could have wished for.
âNope, too late,â the Swiss woman informed you.
âMeeeeeaaaaan,â you complained.
Ana just grinned at you, shrugged her shoulders and took a big bite of her cupcake.
When you continued to pout at her, she offered you a compromise, âFine, Iâll tell you when it comes true, okay? And now enough with the puppy dog eyes. Otherwise I might crack and tell you right now and then weâll both be at fault when it doesnât come true.â
âSounds good to me,â you agreed, biting into your own cupcake with gusto.
And honestly just knowing that Ana had made a wish that included you warmed you heart. It was nice to be such a big part of someone elseâs life, someone other than your parents that was. But you wouldnât think about them right now, nothing was allowed to taint this moment.
Instead of dwelling on your thoughts you looked up at Ana happily chewing the last bite of her cupcake.
âI love you,â you blurted out without thinking about it.
Once the words had left your mouth you instantly regretted them. Not that they werenât true, they absolutely were, but you hadnât said them to each other yet. So what if Ana didnât feel the same and you just ruined this perfect moment? Or even worse, everything!
At least Ana was still smiling at you, that was probably a good sign. If she was going to leave right then and there she wouldnât smile. Right?
âI love you too,â the Swiss woman simply said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Â
âReally?â You couldnât help but ask.
Ana got up and came over to your side of the table. She grabbed your hands, softly pulling you up so you were on eye level.
âOf course I love you. How could I not? I guess we still have some work to do until you see yourself the way I see you, as such an amazing, good-hearted, beautiful person,â she told you earnestly.
âI really love you.â It was the only thing that came to mind, Anaâs compliments once again overwhelming you.
âThatâs good because I really love you too,â the blonde replied with a chuckle, gathering you into her arms. âAnd I wonât rest until you love yourself too , exactly the way that you deserve.â
You just snuggled even closer into Ana, a deep calmness filling you up from head to toe. It wasnât something you were used to, usually there was always some anxiety running in the background. However, the blonde brought you so much peace.
It was something you had never expected before you experienced it yourself. You had always thought love would be all excited butterflies and exuberance. There was some of that of course, but also this all-encompassing calmness, that was in many ways even better than all of the excitement.

always dancing when youâre around
ana-maria crnogorÄeviÄ x reader
âYouâve had too much to drink.â Ana giggled as you cling onto her arms, stumbling around with a cheeky grin on your face.
âWe just won the best trophy, EVER!â You exaggerate, grabbing Patriâs hand. âMVP MVP MVP.â You began to chant, the rest of the team joining in.
You hiccuped and held onto Anaâs waist to keep you stood up right. She was the sober one, not a fan of drinking, but you had taken this opportunity to drink and oh did you drinkâŠ
âBaby, I feel all fizzy.â You held onto her, sliding your arms around her waist to keep you on your feet.
âFizzy?â She chuckled. âY/N/N, do you mean dizzy?â
You hummed and giggled, looking up at her. âKiss meâ You bit your lip, you hands rubbing at her sides.
âThat I can do.â Your girlfriend smirks, leaning down to break the height barrier and kissing you softly until you pull away for a breath of air.
âYou taste like colaâ You tell her, dropping your head on her chest.
Later that night you were laying in bed with Ana, you were dead to the world as you were slotted between the taller girls strong thighs, your head on her chest.
She scrolled through her Instagram feed, clicking on Claudiaâs story to see a video of Patri and Cata doing shots, what Claudia didnât realise is that she had also captured yours and Anaâs heated moment in the back of the video which had now been posted for the world to see.
And thatâs where the talking started. You and Ana had almost been dating a year when the first idea of you as a couple had popped into the public eye, and the fans went crazy for it.
-
When the full time whistle blows, you shake hands with the Switzerland team. Your eyes however only looking for one person. Your person.
"Y/N!" You turn around and see Ana calling you over, stood with Mariona and Lia.
"Hey" You smile softly, just wanting to wrap your arms around the taller girl and tell her how sorry you are.
Spain beat Switzerland 5-1 to advance to the quater finals. You were happy for your team but the feeling was bittersweet as you knocked your girlfriend out of the tournament.
"I'm sorry." You smile sadly with a few tears pricking in your eyes, you didn't like to see Ana sad and knowing you scored 2 against her makes it worse.
"Don't be sorry my love." She puts an arm around you and you hug her gently, being careful with your actions as your relationship is well and truly kept out of the public eye.
You tug on the bottom of her jersey as you pull away from each other. "Can we swap?"
"Of course!" She smiles through her tears, pulling her shirt off and swapping with you.
You keep control of yourself to not look at her with the eyes that are kept away from the rest of the world. Mariona nudged you and giggled when she saw you trying hard to look away from Ana's body.
"I wish we didn't have to do that." You frown, looking at her sad eyes. "I just want to hug you so bad right now." You breathe out.
"Me too, but not here, love." Ana looks at you with her loving eyes, the ones filled with adoration saved especially for you. "I'll find you inside." she promises.
You nod as you continue to chat for a while, until Alexia comes over and tells you that the national team staff have asked for everyone to come into the changing room to get ready to head back to the hotel as you had a flight to catch.
-
Once you'd changed back into your travel wear you put Ana's jersey into your own bag to keep it with you so it wasn't to get lost with the luggage for the kitman.
You waited outside the Swiss changing room with Mariona, turning your head everytime the door opened.
Finally Ana emerged alongside a few of her teammates that you didn't know too well. She told them that they should go off ahead and that she would catch them up, wanted a few minutes with her 'club teammates'.
Mariona turned her back to keep watch for Vilda or any of the other spanish staff that would put an end to the meeting.
"I love you so much." You whispered as Ana held you close, rubbing her hands up your sides as she kissed you softly. "Keep messaging me everyday, even when you go back to Switzerland?" You ask, holding her hands in yours and fiddling with her ring, the ring you have the matching bracelet too.
"I'll message you everyday sweetheart." She kissed your forehead. "Go show the world what a true star you are yeh? I've seen the running for Golden boot. Your in the lead." She smirks. "I want the trophy on the shelf above the bed. Next to the photo of us on the beach."
"I'll try my hardest." You nod, going on tiptoes again to kiss her, melting into each others touch but being broken apart when Mariona coughs, the signal to tell you to split because someone was close by.
Ana presses one more kiss onto your mouth. "I could kiss you forever." She whispers. "I'll see you soon."
-
On the bus to the airport you sit besides Mariona. You could say you were best friends but she was more like your sister.
"What's the address for the base camp hotel?" You lift your head up from her shoulder.
"Um, it's on my phone somewhere. Sent it to Laia the other day. Why?"
"Ana just asked. Said she wants to send something." You shrug your shoulders a little to say you didn't know much more than that. "Can you send her it from yours?"
She nods.
"Thank you."
You rest your head back onto her shoulder and scroll through social media.
Someone had been keen to spying out the events between you and Ana after the game as photos and videos had made it to Twitter already.
Under a photo of you swapping shirts there were loads of comments saying 'Aww' and 'Barca friends!' but a few fans weren't silly and they knew what they were looking at.
One comment said: 'Reason 1482 to why I think they're dating! Watch Mariona giggling at Y/N when Ana takes off her shirt!đ€Ł'
You smirked to yourself and slipped your phone away, trying to get a bit of sleep before the plane ride.
-
Why Ana wanted the team hotel address all came clear a few days later when a parcel turned up for you.
"Y/N, a package!" Vilda calls you over after a training session, handing you the brown box.
"Thank you."
You take the box up to your room and put it on the bed. "What did you order?" Mariona asks, laying on her bed in your shared room.
"Nothing" You tell her, using a pen to stabbed at the tape to open it up. "I think it's from Ana."
You open the box to see one of her hoodies, one she took back from you after you'd 'borrowed' it from her in the first place. You smile as you lift it up and put it onto the bed, seeing her Barca shorts from a few seasons back with '18' on the leg of them. She knew you loved to wear her old Barca stuff around the apartment and for bed sometimes.
You find a beaded bracelet with the letter of your name on, another with an A too. A small note telling you that she has the matching ones.
"You two make me sick, your so soppy." Mariona teases, flopping back the bed.
Rummaging through your bag you pull out your phone and try to call her. It goes to answer phone a few times then you realise she must still be travelling home to Switzerland.
Instead, you decide to leave her a message.
You
I love you Ana. Call me when you land, I miss your voice. â€ïž
-
Spain get knocked out by the Netherlands and your on your flight home when you see the message youâve been waiting for pop up on your phone.
Ana đ
đ
Flying back to Barca tomorrow morning babygirl, Iâll crash at yours and pick you up from airport xx
You giggle at the name of her contact, remembering when she had changed the name one evening on the bus home from an away game. You hadnât changed it back.
-
The day after you arrive back in Spain, Ana packs your bags and takes you out for the day. All secrets. Thatâs what she told you.
She drives down the main road and you wonder where you are going to, she only told you it was a trip. The beach? A night further down the coast line of Spain?
âThe airport.â You look at her, half excited and half very confused.
âIâm taking you away for a trip to my home. For our anniversary.â She smiles, looking very incredibly pleased with herself.
âSwitzerland?!â You gasp a little, having wanted to visit Anaâs home country for so long.
-
The plane ride dragged a little, having only been home for less than 24 hours.
You got through customs and collected your bags, deciding to get a coffee to help keep you awake.
âHereâ You pass Ana her coffee, taking a sip of yours before screwing your face up. âOh my god, thatâs fucking rank.â You whisper, keeping your voice down with the language you chose to use.
Ana chuckled, taking your coffee and switching it with hers. âHave this one.â
âThank you, bebitaâ You used the spanish pet name she loved so much.
You stared into her eyes a little too long and you were snapped out of it when two teen girls came rushing over.
âHi! We are big Barcelona fans, could we get a picture?â The tallest girl asks.
âYour my favourite player!â The smaller girl tells you.
You take selfies with them and sign their phone case before they rush off back to wherever they appeared from.
-
Within minutes your phone was blowing up with mentions and tags on your social medias. Photos of you and Ana sharing coffee and looking at each other with loving eyes had been stuck on the internet. Typical.
Comments:
- OMG THEYâRE SO CUTE
- They are defo dating!!!!!
- Y/N is wearing Anaâs jacket!! Look 3 posts ago on her feed - itâs the same one!
- WHERE IS THIS? đ±đ±
âHmmm, they know.â Ana mumbles into your hair, her chin resting on the top of your head.
âWe did well keeping it quiet for so longâ
-
You trip in Switzerland was almost over, one day left before you had to fly back to Barcelona.
âI want to post something.â Ana breaks you out of your thought as you search through the suitcase to find your pyjamas.
âPost what?â You look at her, finding the shorts you were after and getting changed.
âUs.. for today, our anniversary. One year is a big deal Y/Nâ
You nod, looking at her. âIf your okay with that then Iâm cool with it too.â You smile.
Ana took her phone out and made an Instagram post with a caption:
One year with my favourite girlâ€ïžâđ©č
In the post she attached a few photos and videos along with it.
1. A photo of you walking up ahead, climbing a mountain in Switzerland.
2. A video of you both dancing in the changing room after the champions league final. Ana had put her arms around you and forced you to dance in the middle of the locker room.
3. A photo of you both with the UWCL trophy on the pitch after the match.
4. A photo of you asleep in bed, a blanket covering you and a sleep mask with false lashes she had stuck on the top to make it look funny.
5. A video of Ana giving you a piggy back on the beach. Keira had taken this video on a double date with her and Lucy.
6. A photo of you in each others jerseys after the world cup match, Mariona and Lia stood at your sides too after they had switched as well.
7. A photo of you asleep on Ana as she tried to read a book, your head nestled into her neck.
8. A photo of you and Ana on the beach. You had your hands over your breasts, as you had stripped from you bikini top, and sunglasses on your head. Ana sat behind you and peering over your shoulder making a silly face.
9. A video of you dancing in the rain outside the stadium in Germany at your game against Bayern.
10. A picture of you both kissing in the club after the UWCL win.
You smiled as the tag came up on your Instagram feed, reposting the post onto your story with the video of you dancing in the rain.
Giggling as you wrote a cheesy caption with
âAlways dancing your around đâ

Be Proud (Ana Maria-Crnogorcevic x reader)
A/N: Based off this request.
You had missed your girlfriend dearly. So much so that you were tempted to break the curfew so you could go to her hotel and see her before you became opponents.Â
In the end you decide against it.Â
The first time you see Ana is when you walk onto the pitch for the inspection. She is talking to Jenni in the centre whilst you stand on the sidelines with Alexia.Â
âYou can go see her you know?â Your club captain nudges you.Â
What Alexia didnât know is that you had been warned by Jorge not to see her before the game. He said he needed his star forward focused and even went as far to call Ana a distraction. Something that didnât settle well with you.Â
âIâll wait till after the game. I canât deal with him before the gameâ you shrug your shoulders but Alexia knew that you played your best football when you saw Ana, whether that is when sheâs by your side or a quick hi before kick off.Â
âIâm going over and youâre coming with meâ she puts her arm round your shoulder and all but pushes you towards your girlfriend.Â
You donât make your presence known immediately as Jenni is in the middle of speaking. Ana, on the other hand, had no problem in turning all her attention to you regardless if Jenni is talking or not.Â
It was sickening to those around them. It didnât matter whether there was twenty people around, when you and Ana was in close proximity everyone and everything around you became irrelevant.Â
âHiâ your tone is low.Â
âHiâ Ana replies; the corner of her mouth rising to form a smirk.Â
It had been mere weeks since you last saw her but you could have sworn sheâs changed somehow.Â
âAnyways donât take it personally when we beat youâ Jenni unintentionally ruins the moment between you. Her words bring back the reality of the reason why Ana is standing in front of you in the first place.Â
âAna whatââ
âDonât. This is part of the sport. Sometimes we are team mates and sometimes we are opponentsâÂ
âWin or lose. Youâre mineâ you say. It was both a question and a statement.Â
Ana doesnât have the chance to respond as she is called over by her coach.Â
It was game time.Â
You had put on a flawless performance but this came at a cost, not for you but for Ana because Spainâs win sent Switzerland home. For the first time in your career you wasnât entirely happy about winning.
Ana was your first thought when the whistle was blown but Jorge pulled you over to him and the coaching staff.
âGreat game Y/N. See what happens when youâre not distractedâ Jorge says smugly. That manâs arrogance and annoyance knew no bounds.
âMe and the girls played well now if youâll excuse I am going to show respect to our opponents and that includes my girlfriendâÂ
The blonde woman saw you walking over and met you half way. She had a look of disappointment on her face which is to be expected but she also wore a smile on her face. Even in the defeat she had the energy to be proud of you.
âYou could have taken it easy on usâ she says as she pulls you into her arms. With the height difference she can just about rest her chin on the top of your head.
âI didâ you say rather smugly. Ana pulls away and gives you a look, one which makes you regret your comment âSorryâ
âDonât be. Iâm proud of you Y/Nâ
âAna, you should be proud of how you played. Not just today but of every game you have played so farâ
âYouâre biasedâ Ana wanted to believe you but with the results they had it was hard.
âI am but that doesnât mean what Iâm saying isnât trueâÂ
The two of you were so caught up in each other that you didnât realise both of your teams had begun doing their lap of the field thanking those who came to support them. Not wanting to be rude you joined them but stay together instead of going to your team mates. Anaâs arm rested comfortably on your shoulder as you walk. It was her way of keeping you close and in the bubble that was sure to be popped once you reached the tunnel.
âCan we swap shirts?â You ask timidly.Â
âI would love to but I have promised it to someone elseâÂ
âWho? Was it Jenni? Aitana? Alexia? Tell me who it is and Iâll fight them for it. Iâm the only one thatâs allowed to wear Crnogorcevic on the back of my shirtâ
Ana cannot help but laugh at your protectiveness and she knows that you will soon soften when she tells you who is getting her shirt.
âYouâre cute but you wonât be fighting anyoneâ she says confidently.
âWatch meâ you werenât backing down. You wanted Anaâs shirt. Who could be more important than her girlfriend.
Ana removed her arm and chose to hold your hand instead whilst pulling you towards the family and friends section, the Spanish family and friends section. She hopped the barrier, you followed in suit and together you walked to where Irene was talking to Lucia and their son. Mateo reached out his arms and chose to be held by you instead of Irene. Something which you loved.
Your girlfriend watched the way you held him and the way you talked to him as if he was your best friend. She loved seeing you with Mateo because it gave her a glimpse of what the future could look like.
You were so caught up with the little boy in your arms that you didnât notice Ana taking her shirt off, almost.Â
âIrene. I wonât let you wear my girlfriendâs shirt. Nope, sorry, not going to happenâÂ
The look the defender gave confused you.Â
âWrong Parades Y/NâÂ
Ana then proceeds to handing Mateo her shirt.
âHow can I fight him? Heâs so cute and small and look at those cheeksâ you knew in that moment that thereâs nothing you could do.Â
âTold you soâ Ana knew that you would have no problem letting the little boy have her shirt.
Irene takes her son from you and puts him down. It gives you the opportunity to place the shirt over his head and helping him get his arms through. You have no problem admitting he looked cute in Anaâs shirt.
The three of you, plus Mateo walk back across the pitch and towards the changing rooms.Â
âNext time, I get your shirtâÂ
âNext time, I promiseâ

Just an FYIÂ âą Ana-Maria CrnogorÄeviÄ
Request:Â can I please request jealous protective anamaria over R?
Word count: 3k
Going into the Champions league semi final you were quite surprised to see that Barca would be going up against Arsenal. Nonetheless, you were excited. Especially because of how the last games ended two years ago. You knew the reds have improved their team and game a lot since then, but that didnât stop you from picturing all the goals your team would send soaring past Zinsberger.Â
You sat next to your usual bus buddy, Ana, on the way to the stadium and the two of you spent the bus ride laughing and sharing the snacks you were allowed to eat.Â
âHow many goals do you think weâll score?â she questions with the same cheeky smile on her face that you are wearing, the both of you more than ready for the match.
âI reckon 2, maybe 3.â you nod confidently, following your statement by your own question. âWhat would you predict for the end result?â
â3-0â she shrugs nonchalantly and you chuckle at her antics, leaning into her side more. Your cheeks are dusted with a light pink shade as Ana keeps an arm around you.
âOkay, 3-1 if we get unlucky.â You can only nod along to her words, knowing that the team is in its best form and a strong Arsenal wonât stop you from scoring.
Walking out into the tunnel already clad in your Barca jersey you take your place behind Jana. Your focus is solely on the pitch just outside the tunnel but youâre also aware of the stares of some players from the Arsenal line to your right.Â
You breathe in deeply to calm your nerves and then you slowly exhale. Ana senses your slight distress from behind you and without a second thought she slides her hand into yours, giving it a squeeze. It seems like her gesture has the desired effect because the pounding of your heart is becoming less intense and you feel more at ease. Your thumb rubs over her knuckles in appreciation and the Swiss internationalâs heart swells at it. Just as quickly as her hand slipped into yours, you let go of it though and Anaâs eyes snap down to your hand in confusion, only to then be nudged from behind and she realizes the team has started walking out.Â
The game is intense to say the least. It is apparent that even without Vivianne and Beth, Arsenal are more than capable of creating chances. Barca is doing good too and although the possession remains mostly in your teamâs, Arsenalâs defense is proving to be hard to get through.Â
Youâre experiencing it first hand because as soon as you're near the penalty box, a certain defender takes you out in some way or another. Every single time. More than half of these tackles have been borderline fouls which frustrates you and your team on no end. Irene and Ana can barely contain themselves enough to not spring into action and give the defender a bit of their own medicine.Â
The first time you were brutally side tackled, her boots catching a bit of your ankles, you thought you knew who it was. The flash of the red jersey and the aggression of the tackle is one youâve experienced from an Arsenal defender before. However, when you catch sight of the name on her back, youâre beyond surprised to see itâs not McCabe whoâs been trying to end your career.Â
âBloody hell, what has gotten into her?!â you mutter under your breath as Ana helps you up and the referee finally blows her whistle. Thereâs a fire in Anaâs eyes as she glares at Catley, one that you recognize in every other Barca playerâs eyes too. Theyâre all ready for revenge. Itâs a well known fact about Barcelona, any Barca team. If they mess with one if you, they wonât come out alive.
âWhat? Ref that was nothing, it was the ball! The ball!â Steph shouts in fury, mimicking a ball with her hands.Â
âYou might need glasses, honey.â Mapi retaliates and while Ingrid tries to stifle her laugh, Ana next to you doesnât hold back. The referee interferes before it can go any further and hands the ball to Irene, telling her that the team is going to be awarded a free kick. Steph Catleyâs expression falters slightly as she watches the ref write her name on the yellow card.Â
âYou confident to take it?â she raises an eyebrow with a small smile, knowing just how much you enjoyed shooting from long distances.Â
As you stand behind the ball just halfway in between the halfway-line and the penalty area, your eyes rake over the players scattered around in front of the goal. Your gaze connects with Ingridâs and all you need is the small nod she gives you before youâre sending the ball into another dimension with the force you kick it with. The Arsenal players expected you to line your shot up for a header but when the ball goes soaring above them and straight into the goal, they stare after it with wide eyes, their bodies still in a position that tells you they were ready to head the ball away. Dumbfounded, thatâs what they were. All of them.Â
In an instant youâre surrounded by the team as you do a knee slide in celebration before getting into the group hug.Â
âI fucking told you they werenât ready for you!â Ana shouts in your face as she touches her forehead to yours and you laugh at her words while your body heats up. Even as the team moves back into position, the winger stares after you with a prideful look.
Your happiness is short lived because barely fifteen minutes later and just before halftime, Frida manages to slot the ball into the goal, just out of reach for Panos.Â
Despite the equalizer, the girls' heads are held high as you head to the locker room, ready for the halftime speech Jonatan would be giving.Â
Ana-Mariaâs hand subtly resting on your thigh grounds you enough to absorb everything the coach says like a dehydrated plant. Ana on the other hand, keeps most of her focus on you during those fifteen minutes and she doesnât miss the pink tint of your cheeks as her thumb grazes your skin just below your shorts.Â
Truthfully, the two had been dancing around your feelings for each other since the start of the season. It started when the team was out for team bonding and you ended up dancing with a girl at the bar - far too intimately you had to admit. It resulted in endless teasing from your friends and a scowl on Anaâs face. You didnât understand why she was upset, and for the first few days neither did Ana. But as the weeks went by and her urge to be closer to you only grew, she had come to the realization that she had strong feelings for you.Â
You shared these feelings, youâve always found Ana attractive but you were scared to shoot your shot with the older woman, scared of the embarrassment youâd feel when you would be rejected. The blonde never made a move on you either, only giving small signs here and there that werenât enough to give you a clear indication as to how she felt. She has only recently gotten as touchy as she was now, her hand rarely leaving you.
The second half of the game is a hard fought one. Frida and Stina are on the move any chance they get and Steph still hasnât given up on trying to sprain your ankle. In spite of their clearly good advances on goal, your team has switched up their strategy as well. Zinsberger canât catch a break in goal with each shot Caro and you send her way, and youâre proud to say that Sandra has stayed clean in your goal. The defenders are working extra hard to keep the ball away from the penalty box.Â
Just as the clock hits the 60âth minute mark, Ana sends a through ball that ends up in front of Aitanaâs feet who continues the pass towards you. You know you have to make a quick decision before Catley comes pouncing on you. Pass or shoot. The ball is still in the air. Pass or shoot. The red of Stephâs shirt appears in your peripheral vision, you canât let her close. Shoot.Â
With a jump, your back still facing the Arsenal goal, your foot connects with the ball in an overhead shot. On your descent towards the ground you merely manage to crane your neck and watch as Zinsberger attempts to punch it over the crossbar.
You arenât given a second to react before a body lands on you, many following behind and you lay under the pile of blaugrana players with a satisfied grin on your lips.
âVAMOOSSS!!âÂ
The switch flips after that and Barca take advantage of Arsenalâs momentary discouragement. Another shot fires into the back of the goal, courtesy to Caroline and you donât even bat an eye at the way Steph barrels into you when the game is resumed because it is only five minutes after that when the full time whistle is blown. Barca is through to the final.
You ignore the Arsenal players around you and the crowd as you dance around in happiness with your teammates, celebrating the win.Â
â3-1 like I told you.â Ana winks at you and you roll your eyes at her.
âItâs not like I said it would be different.â she chuckles at you and then breaks out in a laugh when you gently shove her.
Once everything has calmed down a bit, you shake hands with the one red player you havenât shaken hands with. Youâre surprised when youâre pulled into a hug by the defender but you pat her back anyway. Steph pulls back from you though she keeps her hands on your biceps and looks you over with a smirk.Â
âYou made my job extra hard today, you know.â she informs you as her thumbs rub into your bicep and you let out a nervous laugh.
âYeah well I didnât know the yellow card McCabeâs spirit would possess you.â The Australian throws her head back as she laughs and her hands slide lower on your arm before her fingers graze over yours.Â
You barely resist from pulling back from her touch, mildly uncomfortable in the situation youâve found yourself in with the defender whoâs been trying to separate your ankles from the rest of your legs.
âDo you want to swap shirts?â the heavy accent rings out close to your face and she doesnât give you time to answer as she pulls the shirt over her head. You canât refuse now though. Stephâs hands play with your Barca kit but sheâs quick to put it on once youâve handed it to her.Â
Stephâs eyes remain glued to your toned abdomen as she continues lightly praising the way youâve played. Just as her fingertips are about to make contact with where sheâs been staring, a hand slides across your torso.
You let out a breath you didnât know youâve been holding as you recognize the arm and your body relaxes into hers. Anaâs hand remains on the waistband of your shorts, clearly displaying not only her protectiveness but also rubbing it into the defenderâs face when her fingers softly scratch the skin of your abdomen, soothing you more than possible.Â
Stephâs eyes finally part ways with your abs and her head snaps back up to your face. You almost laugh at the frightened look that washes over her expression.Â
âEverything okay here?â That's not a question, all three of you know that.
The Swiss international stares her down, a mix of emotions swirling in her eyes but Steph can tell none of them are good. The brunette clears her throat in discomfort, averting her eyes back to yours as she rushes out a goodbye.
âIt was nice to meet you - well formally, you know, apart from the many tackles.â she huffs out a laugh but stops when Ana raises a daring eyebrow, urging her to finish.Â
âErm, well thank you for the shirt and goodluck in the finalâ the Australian almost squeaks out and you decide to cut her some slack as you give her a quick hug. Still, the blondeâs hand remains on the small of your back and she gives Steph one last glare over your shoulder before the defender practically sprints back to her own team. Ana snorts at that and you lift your gaze to meet the older woman.
âThank youâ you tell her sincerely as you lean into her side and you discreetly press a small kiss to her shoulder. The wingerâs face heats up right in front of you for the first time ever and she struggles to say anything for a second. A smile forms on your lips as you see her all flustered. Youâd be lying if you said your knees werenât close to giving out from the softness of her eyes and the seemingly star struck expression on her face.
âIâll go catch up with Ingrid and Frida, okay? I will see you afterâ you give her arm a squeeze and Ana nods at you. She stares after you as you join your national teammates while you struggle to pull on the shirt and she chuckles under her breath when Ingrid gives you a helping hand.Â
âDu bist eifersĂŒchtigâ A voice speaks up next to her and Ana jumps slightly. Lia grins at her with a knowing look and Ana canât stop herself from rolling her eyes.
âNein.â
âJa. Donât think I didnât see whatever that was just now. Oh and the hand holding before the game?â the Swiss women share a look and then Ana sighs in defeat as she finally pulls her national teammate into a hug. However, she is quick to redirect the topic as she instead opts to ask about how her friend has been doing since the last time theyâve seen each other.
A few minutes later both teams start heading inside and you hug Frida goodbye as you detach from your Norwegian group. You lean your head on Anaâs shoulder, who without your knowledge glances down at you with a fond smile.
âHi Liaâ you greet the Swiss Arsenal player and she hugs you.Â
âI also better get going. See you next timeâ she tells the two of you and then she gives Ana a teasing smirk who thinks she knows what her friend is about to say. âSag ihr, dass du sie liebst!â the confusion on your face is one she expected but the blonde next to you had been totally caught off guard by what she said. But, a second later, she does give a small, shy nod.
âCome, letâs not make them wait.â you follow the blonde into the changing room and then onto the bus.
It doesnât come as a surprise to you when by the time the bus leaves the car park, half the team is passed out and deep in sleep. The dark sky outside the window can only hint as to just how late it is. Youâre sitting next to Ana in one of the last rows in the bus, like usual.Â
Unlike the rest of your friends though, the two of you are wide awake. Youâve always been known to be very energetic so you canât even think of resting your eyes. Meanwhile, Ana-Maria next to you is deep in thought about what Lia had told her.Â
You linking your pinkies together is what breaks her out of her trance and she turns to you. The dimmed lights of the bus give you a halo and as the light from the street lamps shine through the window Ana recognizes the glimmer in your eyes.
âWhatâs got you lost?â you whisper, mindful of all the girls who are sleeping around you. The blondeâs eyes are dark with desire and the urge to tell you everything. She swallows hard as you patiently wait for her to say something.
âLook Y/N/N, I just really-â she stops mid sentence, wondering if it was the right thing to tell you. You reach out with one hand to cup her cheek gently, bringing her gaze to meet yours again.Â
âYou really what?â Ana opens her mouth again and her eyelids flutter at the way her body heats up when your thumb strokes over her cheek. She has never felt so flustered around someone. She can feel your breath fanning against her face, only now noticing that she has subconsciously leaned closer to you. âAna?â
âI really like youâ she chokes out and sheâs ready to panic but your soft touch calms her slightly. âActually, maybe I'm in love with you. I donât know if thatâs a wrong thing, I get it if you donât feel the same way. Just like, an FYIâ she rambles in a hushed tone and you swear youâve never seen her act so nervous.Â
The butterflies in your stomach are going crazy however and youâre overwhelmed with joy knowing that the Swiss woman feels the same way you do.
âAna, Iâm in love with you tooâ you tell her softly - although truthfully you thought it was obvious - and her eyes meet yours. The adoration in your gaze makes her blush deeper and you smile at her, your own face heating up at the close proximity as well as the confession.
âJust an FYIâ the two of you giggle quietly and you press your face into her neck to muffle the sound. Ana lets you stay there for a second before she eases your head back and her eyes move to your lips. Your mouth falls open in anticipation and you gently squeeze her thigh.
âCan I?â Ana breathes out.
âYou know you canâ is all it takes for Ana to dive right in and claim your lips. You softly gasp into the kiss, your senses heightened and utterly in love with the way she kisses you so passionately, like sheâs been waiting for decades. Itâs only for a second that you pull away to take a breath and then youâre back in, lips molding together and moving against each other in a fervent yet loving way, uncaring of the people around you.Â
âIâve wanted to do this for so long.â Ana whispers against your lips while your fingers tangle in her hair.
âIâve wanted you to do this for so long.â

midnight reign II Ana Maria CrnogorÄeviÄ x Reader
masterlist I word count: 976
a/n: thank you anon for sending this request we hope you all enjoy it.<3
warnings: 18+ smut
The rain has padded down rhythmically on the rooftop of your new home in Seattle.
You still needed to adjust to your new life in the US, but when your fiancïżœïżœe got the chance to play here you couldnât not support it especially not when the Euros next year would be in her home country Switzerland.
The outside noise helped to calm your unruly soul and focus on the book in your hands until you heard the front door open.
âAmor, Iâm home, where are you?â, Ana Maria announced cheerfully.
âIn the living room.â, you replied smiling. After all the years together it still excited you when she returned from a football game. There was a happiness in the footballerâs voice now which you had missed in Madrid.
âHi.â, she greeted you still a little breathless, her blonde hair slightly wet and curly from the rain, the Swiss woman looked beautiful against the warm glow of the lamps.
âHey, great debut.â, you told her warmly but didnât look up from your read much to the frustration of your fiancĂ©e.
âThanks. It was really fun. I only wish I would have scored but the ball just never came right to me.â, Ana Maria admitted as she let herself fall right next to you on the dark green sofa.
âYouâll score in time you always do.â, you tried to encourage her, as your free hand absent mindedly stroke through her hair while your eyes were set on your currently reading.
âYes, Iâm sure. I just canât wait to finally score for the reigns.â, the blonde confessed moving her head to rest it on your chest.
âI understand that.â, you whispered empathetically. With an amused twinkle in your fiancĂ©eâs eyes, she took the book away from you.
âHey, I was reading that!â, you protested laughing trying to get it back.
âYouâre not even listening to me.â, Ana Maria shook her head firmly.
âIâm listening to you, but the romance was just getting spicy!â, you defended yourself.
âSpicy, huh?â, the footballer smirked.
âAnd very dramatic as well.â, you added with a wink.
âHow about Iâll show you spicy?â, she asked you in a conspiratorial tone.
âYou mean spicy in a non-fiction kind of way.â, you returned her question innocently.
âExactly that.â, the older woman nodded in satisfaction. Finally, Ana Maria had your whole attention, which was what she graved all evening. The adrenaline of the first few minutes back on the pitch was still pulsing through her veins. Â
âIâm coming.â, you declared.
âGood because I hate waiting almost as much as being ignored.â
âI know I was in Madrid when both things happened to you.â, you remembered with a pinch of sadness.
The spicy romance book slipped away from the forwards hands and landed softly on the floor.
âOkay, time to shut you up.â, she decided determined.
Her gaze was trained on you, almost predatory. This was enough to make the throbbing between your legs start.
âGlad to see youâre back.â, you teased.
âNow come here.â, Ana whispered, her voice raspy as she moved closer to you.
You back pressed against the armrest of the sofa. You grinned at her: âIs that the moment where youâre stopping me from talking any further?â
The impatience took over, you finally wanted to feel Anas lips on yours, her hands on your body.
Ana nodded slowly: âAbsolutely.â
And suddenly you got what you wanted. She pressed her lips on your mouth, hard and hungry.
You slightly parted your lips, making space for her tongue.
Simultaneously, you wrapped her arms around her waist, pulling her in until she was almost on top of you. You could feel the heat your girlfriends body radiated through your clothes. If your tongue wasnât so busy, you would make a joke about her hotness.
Ana started to press her thigh between your legs, grinding and moving against you. You moaned into the kiss. You could feel yourself getting wet from her rhythmic movement but it wasnât enough. It left you longing for more.
Your girlfriend could apparently feel your desperation. She stopped and moved off of you.
Licking her lips, she pushed your shirt upwards. Her hands lingered on your naked skin, her thumbs rubbing across the smooth surface of your waist, sending a shiver down your spine.
Finally, she pulled down your pants. Her head disappeared between your thighs as she provided some sweet relief with her tongue.
The thumb of one hand continued to rub small circles against your clitoris, the other laid on your thing, her gold rings digging into your skin.
You closed your eyes, letting the wave of arousal and excitement wash over you. You could feel yourself getting closer and closer and closer. Until you finally reached the climax.
A moan of relief escaped your lips as endorphins started to flood your body and you melted right in to Anas arms. You tried to train your eyes on her through the blissful haze.
Ana flashed you a victorious smile and admired her work. You loved everything about it, from the way strands of hair clung to her forehead to her now slightly puffy pink lips. Just looking at her, you immediately wanted to return the favour.
You removed the last of your clothes and got up from the sofa. Your girlfriend watched you with curious eyes and a smirk, she knew what would be coming next.
You stood in front of her, fully undressed, and leaned down to kiss her while she was still seated on the sofa.
Her hands ran down the natural curves of your body, blue eyes looking up at you with desire.
With one swift movement, you took her hands in yours and pulled her up before directing her towards the bedroom.
Your book laid forgotten on the floor. Who needed fiction when your girlfriend was right there?

Mi musa. Ana-maria Crnogorcevic x Reader
đšSOLD OUT 24/09/23 y/n in concert at sala Razzmatazz, Barcelona đš
Y/N pov
I was super nervous because today would be my end of tour concert and I couldn't be more excited, I will finally spend more time with my girl. All these months that I've been dating Ana I've had a wonderful time, she is very sweet, very loving, very special to me. I've wanted to dedicate a couple of songs to her on my new album, but I don't want to arouse suspicions because our relationship is a bit low profile.
I invited Ana to the concert and she told me that her teammates love my music so I gave them a few tickets to the concert. Because with this sold out thing it's impossible, they even have a vip pass.
I was wandering in my thoughts when I get a message from Ana telling me that they are almost at the venue.
Ana from Albaceteđ
Baby we are almost there
ME
Well gordi, if there's anything you can tell me ILSM â„ïž
Ana from Albacete đ
I love youâŁïž
Once the concert started the first thing I see is Ana with the whole Barça team? I can't believe it she has brought the whole team hahaha what a woman she is.
"Well Barna how are we?" I say euphoric in what would be my last concert. "Apparently we have some special guests here today" and I look at the Barça girls. They euphorically shout and whistle. "So, are we starting or not?" I say, teasing the audience. To which they shout "Yes" "Guapa" "Say it queen"....
A few songs later, the one I'm going to dedicate to Ana starts.
"Echaste a todos de la fiesta para quedarte sola conmigo en el salĂłn"Â I look at Ana knowing that she has understood the reference...
Flashback
"Ana my love, are your mates at home? I've already left the concert" I tell her in the middle of the call, to which she answers me: "I've already told them to leave so you can come and stay with me until further notice" she tells me seriously but at the same time sweetly. "Well my life, see you now".
End of flashback
I see that she turns red and I keep on singing... "Y si pudiera cambiar todo lo que he vivido a tu lado por millones en el banco y un coche descapotao, no" her teammates look at her funny because I'm singing the song straight to her...
"En la parte de atrĂĄs de un Mini o en playas de Santorini" this part makes her go crazy with the redness of her cheeks...
Flashback
"Anaaaaaaaaa, the car won't start" I say a bit worried from a slope in Santorini... "Y/n I don't have a signal to call the mechanic, you?" she says relaxed. She laughs a bit at me and puts on the radio.... "Ana for God's sake" I say worried. "Oh love, so little is so little, I have an idea to distract you" she says seductively.... "Oh yes, what idea does that little head of yours have?" I lean into his side a little. "First of all, we have to move to the back because my legs don't fit in this passenger seat" once we are both seated in the back I tell her "Lady I tell you once and for all that no funny business back here eh" she looks at me indignant and says: "I just wanted to give you some kisses and do karaoke" I look at her inquisitively: "well I accept your kisses but we must see how we leave" I lean to give her some kisses first in her forehead, then in her nose and then in her lips...
End of flashback
Ana's pov
This concert is special because it's the end of Y/N's tour and as she has given me the go ahead to invite the girls from the team I don't know what she has planned but whatever it is I know it's going to be great. And well who am I kidding, it's y/n everything does well....
During the course of the concert I notice that a song is playing that I haven't heard before, and that's when y/N looks at me and I can intuit that she's dedicating it to me. My teammates look at me a bit out of place because they don't know what's going on and I prefer not to say anything...
"In the back of a mini or on the beaches of Santorini" I couldn't believe that y/n had put that in a song, a phrase that seems innocent but not. "Hey Ana, didn't you have some problems on your last trip to Santorini?" Keira says to me.... "Yes" I say nervously. "AHH, it's just a coincidence that y/n made that reference and sang it to you" says Lucy connecting the dots. "What a weird thing to say, maybe she rents the car from the same place I do" I say to Lucy calmly.... "Mmm well, if you say so" says Alexia suspiciously.
Y/N's pov
"And well Barna, let's go with the last song of the night, a song that is inspired by my midnight muse," I say more calmly.... "With you 'arrullo de estrellas' " and I start playing the piano.
"Es que no hay nadie como tĂș, que me haga sentir asĂ, en un arrullo de estrellas, te lo digo desde el alma, y con el corazĂłn abierto" I raise my gaze and focus it on Ana... I see her very excited and it makes me get a little emotional. I let a couple of tears fall...
"Eres mi amor amor eterno
Mi ĂĄngel de la guarda
Te lo digo desde el alma
MarĂa llena eres de gracia "
Now it was clear who I was going to sing for.
The concert is over and I go backstage and in a matter of minutes the Barça girls and Ana clearly arrive. "Hola y/n" says Ana coming up to me and hugging me, "Hola mi amor" I greet her and give her a little kiss on her "cheek" very close to her lips. "I can't believe this is the end of the tour, wonderful, I loved it" Alexia says to me and the others nod. "Apparently you liked the concert" I say amused. "You're the best" Ana says to me in a low voice. "So, what are the plans after this" asks Irene (she already knows about us so it's a closer question) "to rest and keep composing" "I also want to take some time for myself, for my family, my girl and to travel a little bit" I say calmer after today's roller coaster of emotions. "Very good" says Irene with her stoic calm. "I hope to see you more often at the Johan. Tell Ana to give you some tickets and drop by" says Alexia. "Mmm ok?" I say quizzically. "It's obvious that you go out with Ana, I've noticed the whole concert how you look at her and not to mention the reference to Santorini, Ana has told us about that and it can't be a coincidence" says Alexia amused. "Well I'm not hahaha" I say and give Ana a kiss before I go to change for the after party.

[WOSO Masterlist]
Consciousness comes to you slowly. Eyes gently fluttering open, your smile is automatic at both the feel and sight of your favorite person wrapped around you.
Anaâs face is peaceful and relaxed as she still remains fast asleep, arms securely locking you against her body.
Youâve missed this. Being able to fall asleep and wake up to Ana is something you took for granted until suddenly you werenât able to do so anymore.
Her departure from Barcelona was unexpected, for both you and her. None of your teammates knew it was coming as well. A relationship that blossomed during the last half of your one year overlap at Barcelona was suddenly subjected to the distance between your club teams.Â
But the two of you made things work. Facetime dates were a regular occurrence, so were the trips to visit one another during short breaks of play. One and a half years after you began dating, your relationship is still going strong.
As much as you would have loved to stay trapped against Ana until she woke, eventually your bladder wins, urging you to find an escape to the bathroom. It takes a couple minutes, but eventually you wiggle your way to freedom without waking Ana.Â
After relieving yourself, youâre halfway between the bathroom and your bedroom when you notice the jacket hanging from the hook by the front door. The jacket that very much was not present when you and Ana got to the house earlier in the day.
Eyes wide, you have to remind yourself to stay calm.
A year and a half into dating, youâre already certain Anaâs the love of your life. But that doesnât negate the fact that youâve known her nearly almost all of your life. And of course you had no one but Lia to thank for that fact.
Anaâs been your sisterâs best friend for as long as you could remember.
And that would be cool, everything would be 100% fine. Except⊠maybe Liaâs still unaware of your relationship.
Initially, the two of you kept it under wraps, not wanting Liaâs unwanted opinions to potentially interfere with whatever was happening between the two of you. But then as time moved on, as you and Ana settled down into a smooth relationship, separated from your sister by both a country and the English Channel, you didnât feel the rush to disclose your relationship to her.
The stress of the world cup last year allowed your relationship to remain undetected during the off-season. Lia didnât have the time or brainpower to focus on anything other than keeping your national team together and functioning under the direction of your head coach who could barely string a coherent play together.Â
But that was last year. And now, more than a year after you and Ana made things official, you still have not told Lia about your relationship. And with the beginning of this off-season, youâre about to spend the majority of two months together with no major tournaments to act as a distraction.
A part of you is really hoping you just missed the jacket when you arrived earlier, but the more logical side of your brain tells you youâre as fucked as you think you are.
Tip-toeing down the stairs, you pop your head around the corner into the kitchen.
Lia looks up from where sheâs sat by the counter when you push the door open. You were already expecting to see her there, but you still canât mask the surprise in your voice. âLia? What are you-- Youâre home!â
Your sister raises an amused eyebrow at the tone in your voice. âItâs great to see you too.â
Shaking yourself out of your shock, you lunge forward, letting Lia pull you into the comforts of her arms. âMissed you,â you grin, momentarily forgetting your girlfriend is fast asleep upstairs.Â
Though the thought quickly returns when Lia gestures towards the front door, hidden behind the wall. âI noticed you got new shoes?â
Paling, you remember the way you had to bribe Ana with kisses to neatly place her shoes next to yours by the rack.Â
âYeah! I did a little bit of shopping in Barcelona before coming home,â is the first lie that passes through your mind, something youâre quick to voice.
âI can see that,â Lia chuckles, tugging at your unfamiliar but also so obviously worn down sweatshirt. Itâs just your luck that youâre also wearing one of Anaâs sweatshirts right as this moment. You find yourself wanting to curse your girlfriend out. Dubbed Anaâs âfavorite,â this piece of clothing is your go-to for stealing. It just always smells like her and makes you feel safe, but safe is the last thing you feel as you are quick to nod again, lying that you did indeed get a new piece of clothing too.
The two of you chat about everything and nothing, making up for lost time. While youâre so obviously just trying to buy time as you try to come up with a way to either sneak Ana out of the house or come clean to Lia without facing her wrath, you come bask in the presence of your sister. You really have missed Lia.
After spending the majority of your career chasing Lia from club to club, you finally made your break away from her two seasons ago to Barcelona. Leaving Arsenal was hard, but you were ready for something new. And Lia was more than happy to support you.
Some time in between Lia praising how well the new Arsenal players have cemented their place on the team over the season and discussing which possible movie the two of you should go put on, Lia ducks under the cabinet to pull out the kettle, intent on making some tea. You use the brief moment of distraction to make your getaway.
âOh shoot, I forgot my phone upstairs in my room. Do you mind waiting here for me while I quickly go get it?â
Lia chuckles, gesturing to stove. âGo for it. I wonât be joining you until our teaâs done.â
Your trainers at Barcelona would be proud of the speed to which you race out of the kitchen and then back up the stairs to your room.
To your delight, and horror, Anaâs already awake, sleepy smile sent your way when you shut the door behind you.Â
âHi baby--â
âLiaâs home,â you whisper, cutting Ana off.
The blondeâs eyes grow in size as she bolts upright in your bed.
âWhat do you mean? I thought you said she wouldnât be back untilâŠâ Anaâs words trail off when she flips over her phone and sees the time.
The two of you definitely napped for longer than you originally intended to.
âYouâve got to go. Liaâs about to hunker me down with a movie marathon. God knows how long youâll be stuck here if you donât try sneaking out now.â
Ana blinks. âHow exactly are you going to sneak me out then?âÂ
You point towards the window in your room. âIâve snuck out of the house multiple times growing up. Thereâs a tree that you can climb out and get into the front yard from.â
Ana balks, looking at you as if you just grew three heads. âYou want me to sneak out the window and climb down a tree?!â
You roll your eyes, pressing a sweet kiss against Anaâs panic-stricken face. âDonât worry, itâs perfectly safe.â
Turning around, you head for your closest. After a bit of digging you finally pull out an old pair of tennis shoes.
âHere, wear these,â you whisper, shoving the shoes into Anaâs hands
Ana frowns, though she does as you say and slips on the offered shoes. âWhy canât I just wear mine?â
âLia was asking me whose shoes they were and I said I got some new shoes in Barcelona.â
Ana shoots you a look that tells you sheâs less than impressed with your white lie. âI better get those shoes back. They were expensive.â
You have to muffle your snort, both of you knowing very well the chances of you returning them would be close to 0. âI know, I was there when you bought them.â
Ana pinches your cheek for the sass, and you respond by giving her ass a little slap as she slips pass you towards the window.
Though she rolls her eyes, you can see the smile on her lips.
âIf I break my neck before the international break Iâm blaming you,â she mumbles, swinging her legs through the opening.Â
âSuch a sweet-talker,â you shoot back, ignoring her huff of faux-annoyance. Instead, you lean in to press a light kiss against Anaâs lips.
âCall me?â
You nod. âAs soon as Lia lets me go.â
With one last grin over her shoulder Ana shuffles fully out the window onto the roof. You only wait until you see Ana begin her descent before hurrying back down the stairs towards Lia.
The brunetteâs already sitting in the living room, movie pulled up when you come skidding to a stop next to her. To your relief it seems as if Liaâs been engrossed in her phone the whole time youâve been gone.Â
She looks up with a grin, lifting up a corner of her blanket for you.Â
âIâm thinking we can start with The Sorcererâs Stone and make our way down from there.â
It isnât until the sunâs long set and the two of you have switched to watching cooking shows for the past two hours that Lia rises with a yawn.Â
She pats your leg, stretching as she stands. âI think Iâm going to head to bed.â
Sleepily nodding, you sink deeper into the blankets. âIâll probably watch another episode or something before heading up,â you mumble, fully content with letting your sleepiness take over right here right now. Though your body would most likely hate you tomorrow when you wake, your bed on the second floor just seems so far away.
Lia doesnât say anything else, giving you a gentle hum as she makes her way towards the light switch. Dimming the lights a bit, she watches with amusement as your eyes slowly flutter, trying, but failing, to keep yourself awake.
Youâre two seconds from drifting off into a peaceful sleep when Lia speaks up, not having fully left the living room yet. Spoken over her shoulder almost as an afterthought, her parting words have you suddenly snapping wide awake.Â
âNext time Ana comes over let her know she can use the front door to enter and leave like a normal person.â
---
Closing the door as quietly behind her as she can, Lia pops her head over the wall separating the front door from the living room.
Her face falls into a frown when she doesnât see you anywhere on the first floor.Â
You had texted your sister that you made it back to Switzerland only hours ago. Surely you havenât already left the house without waiting to see her first?
Sighing, she toes off her shoes, not without noticing a new pair of shoes sitting by the shoe rack. You must have gone shopping or something, Lia muses before heading for the stairs.
Thereâs really only one other place you could possibly be if you were still in the house. Dropping her bag off in her room, Lia lightly skips towards your bedroom. Itâs only been two months since you last saw each other in person, but you and Lia have always been extremely close, and paired with how her season ended, Lia just really wanted to see you.
Quietly cracking open your door, Lia pokes her head into your room.
The first thing she notices is how dark it is. The blinds in your room have been drawn, the only light filtering into the room being through the door she has opened.
It takes a couple seconds for Liaâs eyes to adjust, and when it finally does, she canât stop her mouth from dropping open.
Well there you were, definitely not roaming the streets of your childhood town. But what sheâs not expecting is the extremely familiar head of blonde hair tucked around you like a protective shield.Â
The shock quickly turns to affection as Lia smiles to herself at the adorable sight of you and Ana cuddled together in your sleep. Pulling her phone out to snap a quick picture of the two of you deep in sleep, Lia quietly closes the door behind her as she sets her sights for the kitchen.
Her sister and best friend? Together? Totally unexpected but Lia couldn't be more than happy for the two of you.
And when you sleepily stumble into the kitchen nearly an hour later, panic crossing your face at the sight of Lia already home, well who can blame Lia for having a bit of fun at your expense?
Especially when it means she gets to see Ana ungracefully scale the tree outside your bedroom window.
