The City of Enochia
Evan has been followed by a symbol all his life. When his uncle’s mysterious disappearance pulls him and his cousin into a new adventure to find the origin of this symbol, he meets Daniel, a young teacher at Oxford University. Together, they begin a quest that they might be more involved in than they realize.
As I'm writing down the stories, I thought I might add some things about the different characters in the story.
Evan Rigas, birthday March 13th, 1987. He was born on the island of Kos, Greece, where he grew up. He’s a recently graduated archaeologist who has been raised by his aunt and uncle after the mysterious death of his parents. When his uncle goes missing in search of a mysterious symbol, he enlists his cousin’s help to find the answers that have plagued him all of his life. He recently separated from his fiancée Donna, and has a big love for musicals.
Daniel Matis, birthday March 13th, 1987. He’s the youngest teacher at Oxford university, having a doctorate in theology and ancient languages. He has an older brother called James, and a twin sister Anaïs, who has disappeared in the search for a mysterious symbol. When his student Keith Rigas and Keith's cousin Evan come knocking at his door to find out more about this symbol, Dan takes this opportunity to find out where his twin might have gone to. Dan owns an appartment in London, where he also keeps his office. Dan identifies as non-binary, but has yet to come out about it. Despite that, he doesn't particularly care about what pronouns are used.
Keith Rigas, born December 4th, 1988. He was born on Kos, Greece, and he’s the cousin of Evan. Keith is currently enrolled in the university of Oxford for archaeology. He’s a student of Dan’s and the boyfriend of Devangi. Despite his current relationship, he’s been a bit of a heartbreaker in the past. Because of his exceptional looks, he’s often described as the ‘Greek God’ by his peers. He’s smart, but short-tempered.
Elín Amonssottìr, birthday May 12th, 1986. She’s the adoptive daughter of the world famous treasure hunter Amon Martenson. She’s a childhood friend of Dan’s, but disappeared after a misunderstanding between the two of them. She’s a plant biologist and has been trained to survive in the wilderness by her strict father. She's from Iceland, but usually resides in England.
Anaïs Matis, born March 13th, 1987, is the twin sister of Dan. After coming out as trans, Anaïs has taken a step away from her strict family and probably hasn’t seen them in years. She studied history and is well-trained in multiple languages thanks to her twin, Dan. She disappears during a search, without leaving any clue as to where she’s gone to.
Devangi Baral, born January 23rd, 1988, is a theology student of Dan’s and Keith’s girlfriend and classmate. She’s a transfer student from India and is really excited to have adventures of her own.
Thomas Rigas, born May 5th, 1961, is Evan’s uncle and Keith’s father. He took his brother’s loss hard and when he stumbles µ onto their journal from their last expedition, he intends on carrying it through and find out what they were looking for. He eventually disappears without another word, leading to Evan and Keith having to look for him across the world with only the journal to lead them.
Carla Da Silva, born December 8th, 1962, is the aunt of Evan and mother of Keith. While she and Thomas divorced and she’s not related to Evan by blood, she still took care of him like a son. She remarried years later and now owns a resort close to a beach in Kos, Greece.
Charlotte ‘Lotte’ Rigas, born August 18th, 1985, is the cousin of Evan and sister of Keith. While she used to go on adventures with them, a car accident has left her paralyzed from the waist down and unable to join them on expeditions. She returned to her home in Kos, Greece, and teaches history. She’s married to Ryan Hastings.
Amon Martenson, date of birth unknown, is Elìn’s father and a ruthless treasure hunter with no fear of getting his hands dirty - in the wrong way. It is thought that Amon was the one who got Evan’s parents killed for getting in his way, but so far he has never admitted to it.
Benedict Rigas, born April 16th, 1956, was Evan’s father and starting treasure hunter. He met Ellie on a short expedition and the two fell in love almost immediately. He died when Evan was very young, possibly killed by Amon.
Ellie Vermeer, born January 16th, 1956, was Evan’s mother and a former student of Amon Martenson. After realizing that his methods were too cruel, she quickly moved away from his side, eventually leading to her demise when Evan was only about four years old.
The archangel Daniel and her unnamed lover. They are recurring characters in this search for the symbol. According to the legends, Daniel rescued many people after the eruption of Vesuvius. In modern day, she's often referred to as Daphne.
The mysterious symbol that they are investigating.

It’s early summer,
the hopeless romantic in me found her way to the surface when the heat melted couple of my overprotective layers.
so here i am, allowing her a moment of spotlight and myself some vulnerability.
it’s past midnight, I’m sitting in floor of my kitchen eating fruits with a knife
wondering, if it’s really safe to romanticize life?
I indulge myself anyway, and think about how fruits can be considered a love language if you’re starved enough to taste love that’s throughly stained with muted apologies.
I trust, that when the sun rises tomorrow all my attempts to romanticize life will sublimate and create a thick fog of melancholy that I’ll have no other option but to get lost into.
even so, tonight I’m tired enough to let it be and so i write this, my own report of pathology
officially it’s untitled, but I’m thinking: the pathology of love.
i start by resecting pieces of all the habits that i define my existence based on along with some of the heartache that i held onto for too long
deep down, i know some of it belongs to my mother
At least its mature flavor says so, that, balanced with the sweet essence of an overly ripe fruit that never belonged
Young and brash and an acquired taste.
it’s a poorly fixed microscopic tissue, preserved in a high percentage of feminine rage
Low expectations stained with love and paranoia alike and the question that asks itself:
is it benign or malignant?
is it infiltrating my soul, taking away from my potential to grow ?
It stays unanswered, an unforced error
because i always carry those little versions of me that vary in the percentage of their belief in my own bone marrow
a core biopsy will always show that i still believe.

"When green leaves meet red ones": kidge fall event.
Day one; Happy Birthday Keith!
characters: Kidge Kids (Kaiden, Anaïs and Thomas...)Keith and Pidge.
Pairings: Keith and Pidge, Kidge
Post season 8, Married Kidge.
It was a chilly fall morning. The birds were singing, and soft sunlight came through the curtains of the Kogane family's bedroom, filling the room with a warm, golden glow.
Pidge and Keith were peacefully sleeping in there bed, curled up to each other.
You know, it was one of these rare morning in which Keith accepted to stay in bed instead of going to jog… And trust me, it was a rare occasion! (Well, he stays in bed every sundays too…)
But today was sure a special occasion!…
Pidge finally woke up. As she opened her eyes, she looked over at her husband and a bright smile decored her face as she met his gaze.
«Happy birthday.. » she yawned and she kissed his cheek.
Her voice was still weak and her eyes still sleepy. Keith loved seeing her that way, that’s how he knew that he had succeded in life : when he sees her laying next to him with her messy hairs and her soft morning voice.
« Well, thank you, princess »
He kissed her forehead and was about to speak again but got interupted by the sound of the door oppening and some tiny footsteps running towards the bed.
The both of them turned towards the noises and as they expected, they found their three kids at the edge of the bed.
«Happy birthday, dad ! » The three of them sang in union :
Kayden, the oldest, was holding a cake in his hands,
Anaïs that was 7 (Two years younger than Kayden) was Proudly handing a drawing to her father.
And finally, there was the small Thomas that was simply sitting on the ground: He was only two years old and wasn’t understanding the whole situation so much, but he was for sure happy to be there…
At this sight, Keith smile: He loves his family. And he, for a huge part of his life, missed one. So, he felt like the luckiest man in the universe to have tha amazing woman and these amazing kids by his side every days.
«Thank you guy ! That’s so thoughtfull of you! But, huh, how did you get that cake?.. » He asked, is voice a bit broken by the slumber he had.
Kayden smiled and answered in a fierce tone : «We did it for you yesterday ! The four of us ! And mom told us to come and give it to you this morning ! »
Keith then turned to his wife that was snuggeled against him.
«Yeah… Might be a bit sugarry, Thomas wanted to put the sugar in and well… He pourred a bit to much of it in it… But hey, It’s still good! »
Keith kissed his wife’s forehead and then sat on the bed to let room for his kids.
They all climbed in the bed and suggled against their parents. Keith gave to each of them a huge hug and a kiss on the head…
«Dad! This is for you! It’s a drawing we did all together! Even mom drew a few stuffs! »
Keith took the drawing form his daughter‘s hands and took a look at it :
There was a house and a few trees… These were for sure Anaïs’s creation, as well with the drawing of a little girl that looked like her and a man that was supposed to represent Keith that was drawn next to her… Also, there was a drawing of Kosmo and a little boy. Keith immediatly understood that it was Kayden’s drawings and he was stunned to see that his son had represented Kosmo perfectly… Then, he noticed that someone drew with more confident traits: that was for sure Katie. She drew Herself and Thomas as well as some clouds and a sun… FINALLY, there were some red scibbles all over the drawing… That was Thomas, there was no doupts…
Keith admired every single piece of the drawing and when he was done, he raised his head to look at his wife and kids with a smile. "This is beautiful, everyone, thank you!"
The morning kept going like that and after they ate the cake, the kids went to play a bit in the living room...
"I have other gifts for you..." Katie smiled and looked up at her husband.
"Oh yeah?.. What is it?.." He looked at her, curious.
"You'll discover gift one later when everyone comes to celebrate... As for the second one, the kids are having a sleep over at Matt's place tonight..." She innocently said.
"How is that a- oh... OH!..."
A/N: HEY EVERYONE! HAVE A NICE KIDGE FALL EVENT!
So, I wrote that fic a while ago, I hope you like it!
(don't forget the #kidge fall event 2024 when you post for the event! )
