What's your favorite Thanksgiving episode of Bob’s Burgers?
Doing another holiday episode poll for Bob’s Burgers since we don't have a Thanksgiving episode this year and was this close to not doing it because of the limit of the choices of doing a Tumblr poll, but here we are since Tumblr was generous to add an added option after 10. What's your favorite Thanksgiving episode? Give a vote.

One-Time Characters I Wish Would Return
Characters who only appeared in one episode that I think should return to the show.
Samantha (S1E11. Weekend At Mort's)
Note: She had a fun personality & a good repore with Mort. I do think her character design could benefit from an upgrade thou where she ever to return which at this point is unlikley.
Colton (S9E11. Bobby Drive)
Note: For what little screentime he had, he seemed like a cool guy. He was ready to sabotage his own party just to spare the other kids the boredom. I think he could make a good companion for any of the Belcher kids.
Roger & Judy (S7E14. Aquatisism)
Note: So here's an idea; if you ever write a Zekina fic where Zeke takes Tina to the aquarium, include Roger & Judy as a side ship. I promise it will be super cute.
Shelby (S3E5. An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal)
Austin (S7E22. Into the Mild)
Note: I love this guy. He was like an even more excentric Tedy and his chemistry with Bob was perfect! Bob did say by episodes end that he kept in touch so I was hoping for his return and was a bit dissapointed when it didn't happen.
Grandma Alice (S13E20. Radio No You Didn't)
Note: I know she already had an entire episode dedicate to her. I just want more lore, okay!
Benj (S13E22. Amelia)
Officer Large (S11E15: Sheshank Redemption)
Note: This character dosen't have a page on the Bob's Burgers wiki yet. I might take it on myself to write one cause this girl cracked me up everytime she spoke.
Warren Fitzgerald (S6E15. Pro Tiki/Con Tiki)
Captain Flarty (S3E4. Mutiny on the Windbreaker)
Note: I know he was arrested but if the show can bring back evicted bank robbers and would-be-murderers like Mickey and Fanny I think they could bring Captain Flarty back if they wanted to.
Duval (S3E4. Mutiny on the Windbreaker)
Note: It would be fun if Duval settled down in Seymore Bay after the mutiny on The Windbreaker. Maybe he became chef at some small shak or deli.
Derek Demotopolis (S4E6. Purple Rain-Union)
Note: I think one way to re-introduce Derek Demotopolis the dermatologist would be if one of the Belchers got some sort of skin condition and he just happens to be the doctor they go too. Either that or they could bring him back as Gayle's love interest.
Dillon (S7E13. The Grand Mama-Pest Hotel)

for context, they (my oc) found out about the events of An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal and started to tear Bob a new one for ruining everything because apparently five months free of rent isn’t worth celebrating in comparison to thanksgiving.

HELP I AM STILL OBSESSING OVER THE AUTISTIC BOB HEADCANON.
Here are the signs I've noticed so far/some personal headcanons of mine because it's just so real:
--Bob loves randomly talking to inanimate objects, especially his restaurant supplies. He even likes personifying his food, like in "An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal" where he made a whole "death" scene for Lance the turkey when it got hit with a bullet. His imagination runs deep, which definitely got passed on to the kids.
--Sometimes he just says some out-of-pocket things that he usually has to backtrack and apologize for. Like in the pilot, "Human Flesh", when he says "Because you're heavy" to Gene without batting an eye, and even tries to choke out Hugo out of frustration in another scene. Also, when he becomes crazy during that one scene during the hurricane in the first season and goes "THEY'LL BE EATING BOB'S BURGERS BABY" and Linda is very concerned. And also when he straight-up loses his cool towards Gene when Gene can't remember the restaurant's name and loses the chance to promote it.
--When he is obsessed, he goes ALL THE WAY. I already mentioned his love of gardening, but his love for food runs so deep it's basically his love language. Making things is how he expresses he cares, especially when it comes to Gene, which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It's the whole reason why he wants to run a restaurant so badly and consistently fights for it. Also, he definitely hyper-fixates on his rivalry with Jimmy Pesto, he will never let it go. Let's also not forget this man allowed an entire cow to just live in his apartment and had a whole dream about the said cow. He also gets really obsessed with people online occasionally, like the cucumber guy, or the sailor guy from "Oh Row You Didn't".
--When this man cares, he really CARES, and even though he's not good with dates, he still tends to remember very specific things. He always brings up little details that happened to the kids, like when he told Gene about that time when Gene was young and ate a fern and Bob was really concerned, and when Gene was young he used to love hearing stories from Bob. He also always remembered that he never got to give Linda a real wedding ring and got so excited when he finally got to buy one (though we all know how that ended). He even remembers that Louise called him "Daddy" until she was eight.
--He enjoys staying in, which I can respect. He really doesn't like crowds and just interacting with people, and as I mentioned in my "Bob loves plants" post, my personal headcanon is that he doesn't enjoy crowds because he doesn't understand certain social cues and doesn't like keeping up with them. It's just easier for him to be around his family, who are equally weird and understand him.
--Another headcanon of mine is that he gets overstimulated occasionally, especially if the restaurant has a busy day, and Linda definitely helps with that :3
--He was way too quick about denying that Tina has Autism in the pilot "Human Flesh", and his mindset is that "Oh, she's not Autistic, she's just weird like me, and I'm totally neurotypical" (definitely got this from @br1ghtestlight and this is just so real).
--Another headcanon is that his stimming is really minor, it just consists of small things like wiping his hands on his apron for a second or two longer than the average person would, or gesticulating, in general, more than the average person would, because when he wants to be, the man can be very expressive.
--He definitely also thinks that Gene is just weird like him, especially during "The Laser-Inth" when Gene clearly got overstimulated, Bob, in his head, is just like "Oh I totally understand, sometimes that just happens to me, I gotta just calm him down and let him know it's okay". But seriously, though, I still can't get over how good of a dad he was in that episode.
#bobs burgers#bob belcher#am i looking too deep in this?#yes but i don't care#this headcanon is everything and has me obsessed#some of things he does don't have a neurotypical explanation

Courtney
First impression
Impression now
Favorite moment
Idea for a story
Unpopular opinion
Favorite relationship
Favorite headcanon
Thank you so much for this ask!! I’m sorry it took me so long to answer.
I already did Courtney, so instead, I’ll do Linda, because I got another ask about her that I completely forgot to answer (and it disappeared)!!
First impression: I think I’ve always enjoyed Linda and her presence. But I think at first, I just didn’t have too much of an opinion on her. Shameful, I know. But that definitely changed once the show began fleshing her out.
Impression now: She is an icon, she is the moment, she is my wife. I love her dearly. The only person who loves her more is probably @jimmypesto. Carolyn is definitely the Linda connoisseur. She’s just so funny and relatable, as well as being a wonderful wife and mother. She’s so full of life, laughter, and love, it’s impossible not to love her and get sucked into her fantasies sometimes.
Favorite moment: Oh god, there are so many to choose from. One of my favorites is when she rejects Upskirt Kurt’s advances, and even headbutts him. Specifically headbutts him because she’s holding wine. Also probably the entirety of Linda-Pendant Woman, because she’s great in that episode. And also when she made up Kill the Turkey in An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal.
Idea for a story: Maybe a story that examines her relationship with her toxic parents, especially Gloria, and her actually standing up for herself for once. God, I could just talk about how awful Gloria and Al are all day.
Unpopular opinion: Linda’s not annoying!! Linda haters feel similar to Gene haters, probably because the two of them are quite similar in personality. But Linda is so sweet and fun-loving!! She’s not annoying. Maybe on a couple of occasions, but what character isn’t on occasion?? No one’s perfect. I feel as if people are so overly harsh on her and Gene. Also, she’s not the only weird one in her and Bob’s relationship. Bob is equally weird. That’s why they love each other!!
Favorite relationship: Boblin Boblin Boblin Boblin Boblin—Okay, you get the idea. I’ll never get tired of talking about how much I love these two together, they’re so adorable. They’re just two weirdos who found each other and are so in love and running a lovely restaurant. It’s struggling, but they don’t care, so long as they have each other. Linda’s pure devotion to Bob is so admirable and sweet, and just—god, I’m getting emotional again. I also love her mother-daughter relationship with Louise, as they’re way more similar than one would first think. Linda was basically just like Louise when she was younger, maybe even a little worse. Thankfully, Linda’s definitely matured over the years.
Favorite headcanon: Okay, this is one I made up myself, but my favorite headcanon is that she’s secretly actually very good at math and doesn’t even realize it. The only evidence I even have is the fact that she handles all of the restaurant’s finances, and Bob was totally lost handling them himself when she briefly left in Linda-Pendant Woman, so clearly, she has to have some sort of talent for numbers. I like to think she only yells out “four” as a response to every math question is that when she’s put on the spot to do math, she overthinks it, so it’s easier to just say the same number as a response every time. This’ll probably get debunked by canon, but it’s still fun to think about.
#asks#bobs burgers#linda belcher#i love linda so much she’s the only wife ever#passsssss the cranberry sauce we’re having mashed potatoes!!#anyway she’s so fun to talk about because of her optimistic can-do attitude. her happiness is so contagious#my favorite example of her happiness being contagious is in the movie. especially during “sunny side-up summer”#it’s just too cute that she’s cheering up bob and it’s clear she really makes the restaurant something special

What are some of your favorite quotes from Bob’s Burgers? Can be a top five, can be from a specific character or episode, can be from the movie, anything you want!
Aww! Thank you so much for the ask! Sorry I'm a little late lol
Here's five of my current favorites:
"Ginger's cat died...but in a really funny way!" --Linda
Kids: Dear Lord Santa...
Bob: Kids, I know it's Christmas Eve but I don't think you pray to Santa.
Gene: Lord Santa, strike him down!!
Linda's Thanksgiving song from "An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal"
"Not a lot of people know this but I have a speech impediment." --Jimmy Jr.
"They should serve a flight with that meal." --Rudy
I have sooo many more favorites but these are the ones stuck in my brain right now lol

Day in Fandom History: November 18…
It’s Thanksgiving and Mr. Fischoeder asks the Belchers to do a favor for him with Linda and the kids pretending to be his own family and Bob in the backseat to cook in order to seduce a woman who was his former flame. The first Thanksgiving-themed episode of Bob’s Burgers, “An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal”, premiered on this day, 12 Years Ago.

Ok I finally found the time to explain my updated Fischoeder theory
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/320f2c9cdc7ecad99c64c2f06d64f8fd/9cc8d6f5c4b4b7d9-da/s540x810/e756d7b633b158276fec15828ddeeebaa1d1f833.jpg)
Sp let's start with what we already have
The theory that me and @amethysttheanarchist made and used on our presentation about the Fischoeders is as such
We think that Grover is from their fathers side of the family
And that in order for Grover's side of the family to be the "poor side" that the parents of Papa fischoeder were rich and just passed their money onto Papa, which would make the sibling Papa (probably) has poor
It's simple amd makes since
It covers up any holes Past theories had
But now...
I this I found something that makes it make more since
In season 1 ep 13, Torpedo towards the end of the episode Calvin says this
"You remind me of my father. He was honest, and he worked hard. You an immigrant, Bob?"
And from An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal we know that the Fischoeder family crest are 10 snakes, which Calvin refers to as schlongs (which yes I know they mostly said that as a joke but like...still...point still stands)
(And just entire thing from the wiki "The family's name and Fischoeder's reference to the German language might indicate that the family originates from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland."
So the theory that Papa fischoeder (we gotta get him an actual name):has a sibling and that's probably the parent to grover and they're probably poor still stands
BUT I think instead of Papa's parents being rich and passing it down to papa
I think they were poor in Germany (or Austria or Switzerland) and Papa just..just moved to Seymore's bay and worked his way up to where he was
And I think it started with the wharf
Because as we know from the deleted scene for the movie. The wharf kept being destroyed and rebuilt over and over
A property like that can't be selling for high money (I think, idk I know nothing about things like that), get yourself a poor Papa fischoeder and boom
I'm already working on other headcanons that I wanna share but you guys get the point
#now like every theory for the Fischoeders there are some holes#like they have a family crest...1. thats uncommon nowadays#2. only royalty and nobels would have crests...#but i dont think there will ever be a sound theory that covers every base#i put more thought into these characters backstory then the creators ever have...#which is kinda lame#but i dont care :3 i get to theorize about an old fictional man and his family#and that is very fun#bob's burgers#bobs burgers#mr fischoeder#calvin fischoeder#felix fischoeder

Bob's Burgers Thanksgiving Specials Ranked (So far)
(Because screw it, if I did Halloween, might as well do Thanksgiving)
11. Putts-Giving--A pretty decent episode about the bond between the Belcher children. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving is more of an after thought with this one, making it more of an episode that can happen at ANY time, not just Thanksgiving. So, for this particular ranking, it's dead last, even though it's not even that bad of an episode.
10. An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal--The show's first special and I love that it quickly establishes that Thanksgiving is Bob's favorite holiday. Bob's love for cooking is a neat aspect of his character and it makes sense that a day all about great food is the day he loves the most. It's just too bad that the first Thanksgiving special includes the family being careless towards Bob's desire to still have a family Thanksgiving despite the plan Mr. Fischoeder convinced them into. It's genuinely sweet, and it hurts that the family dismisses it. They all have their reasons and the ending ALMOST saves it, but it doesn't entirely succeed as this episode feels a bit mean spirited, even for an early season episode.
(Also, what was up with that My Neighbor Totoro reference? That came and went out of nowhere)
9. Diarrhea of a Poopy Kid--Now would be a good time to mention that I'm not a fan of the "kids tell stories" episodes. There's SOME good jokes, but they're always kind of meh to me. This one's no different, though it does get points for a warm ending and the brief bonding moments between Gene and Bob. Their relationship is always cute when they're on the same side and it's no different here. Wish we could have had it in a stronger episode, but that's what "Boys Just Want to Have Fungus" and "The Laser-inth" is for.
8. Gayle Makin' Bob Sled--Quite possibly the most irritating Gayle's ever been in the show. You actually FEEL Bob's anger and annoyance with her, with every bit of it being justified as Gayle's not at top form here. There's SOME good jokes, but not enough. Thankfully the subplot of Linda and the kids struggling to cook a turkey is entertaining enough to save it...barely.
7. Stuck in the Kitchen with You--I love Bob and Louise's father/daughter relationship. It's always adorable, even if they're at odds with each other like this because it results in a sweeter ending. And I love that Bob wanted Louise in the kitchen with him, wanting to depart some wisdom. What holds the episode down is a pretty weak subplot of the other kids doing a fake parade for the retiring home, which is more awkward than funny. But there's also a subplot featuring Linda that's carried by Sargent Basco's hilarity. So, I guess it balances out to a decent episode.
6. The Quirk-Ducers--Not particularly funny, even with Linda thinking that a potato looks like her grandpa, but the ending REALLY makes this one strong. Bob bringing the potato to support Linda's quirk of the week was sweet, I love that Louise learned for herself that she went too far (even if it was too late), and Tina bringing it all home with a pretty uplifting message SHE wanted, ending the play HER way. The journey was a bit of a mess, but the destination made it worth it in the end.
5. I Bob Your Pardon--A lot of this adventure feels forced, not just with its resolution but also with its conception. Tina convincing the family to save a turkey reminds me of an episode of Steven Universe where Steven makes a big deal out of a small thing and the Crystal Gems go, "Why should we care?" Thankfully, Bob's Burgers does things better by having the characters slowly care more about the adventure and having some great lines and interactions with these entertaining characters. Bob especially killed it as the straight man (per usual), and Linda cracking me up with how serious she took things. So while the story definitely takes some leaps, it proves that even a weak plot can work perfectly with entertaining characters driving it.
4. Turkey in a Can--The chaos in this one is TOO GOOD, with Bob freaking out over who dunked the turkey, Louise trying to catch the culprit, and, of course, the turkey counter guy who hints that Bob might be a little bisexual. It's all good stuff with a pretty warm ending that came as a decent enough twist.
3. Now We're Not Cooking with Gas--Knowing that Thanksgiving is Bob's favorite holiday is what helps sympathize with him here. He's desperate to make the perfect turkey, and with one he's been waiting to have for five years, so you can't blame him for going a little nuts. I mean, you CAN blame him a little bit, but you can understand why he acts so insane about a turkey. At least he learns his lesson on his own without anyone telling him to not go too far and the resolution feels a lot more genuine than in "An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal." I DO wish the episode ends with Bob NOT getting what he wants for some Thanksgiving miracle, but it also ends in a perfectly messy Thanksgiving dinner that works best for this family. So...I'll take it.
2. Dawn of the Peck--A pretty intense situation for the characters to be in, but still featuring some funny moments like everyone giving the birds the bird and Linda getting to the top of the pecking order. But the funniest bits come from Bob not realizing there was a city-wide catastrophe because he was inside the house getting drunk. It presents a pretty great contrast between great danger and laid-back humor, something I could only accept through a show like this.
1. Thanks-Hoarding--A great character study of Teddy that pretty much solidifies WHY he's the sixth member of the family. The Belchers all care about him and wants him to feel good, even if his quirks tend to drive them up a wall (especially Bob). Also, this is the first time Bob made the perfect dinner (twice) with little to no problems. Oh, there's stress, and this episode definitely nails the stress that comes with making the perfect dinner on this holiday, but it also nails the calming love that comes when you eat with family and friends that are family. It's a solid special that happens to be a solid episode, can't get much better.
And that's it. Weirdly enough, no Thanksgiving special this year either. Which feels especially wrong considering how it's Bob's favorite holiday. Bet HE'S salty about it. Still, there's probably SOME reason the writers have this year. Not that I'll ever find it.
Happy Thanksgiving!
