My favorite type of horror filmography is the ones grounded in reality. No I don't mean real serial killers no no no no. I mean the shit that people with anxiety think about. It has to be the most simple concepts. Like the monster is just death itself. It's just a stressful life or death situation. That's the kind that drives me nuts.
Like the movie about those sisters that got trapped under that pool cover at hot locked in for a weekend and could have fucking died in there because no one knows they're in there. You see that's the kind of shit that my anxiety would think up. Like you're standing in an elevator and think oh fuck what if this thing just suddenly dropped. What if the elevator is stuck and the chord breaks and you could fall to your death. NOW THAT'S A HORROR MOVIE.
