drawing(s) context: Stan is taking a pic of Kyle in a greenish pool, while having a small ""panic"" about finding his bestie more cute than he should. he will definitely be drawing this pic of Kyle later. + a extra later scene.
a lot of text below u can ignore lol ! </3 (also cuz i can change things later, im very indecisive)
in this college "au"(?) thing im doing, Stan and Kyle both study Visual Arts and Performing Arts, as they both like creating art (drawing, painting, etc).
Performing Arts: Kyle is very theatrical so he would participate in Plays very often, and Stan focus on Cinema so he would also participate in Plays but offside and in the making of them.
Visual Arts: both likes drawing/painting, appart from that, Kyle studies/do Sculpture and Stan cinematography and photography. (ofc in a college theres wayy more than just it but this is the basic info i did for them)
combining both courses, would be perfect as they both mainly would participate in projects together (even in different areas) and as indicates in this drawing, they would use it for "smaller"/especific projects that doesnt involve a whole thing (like a theater play)
(the colleges' system i use in this au is based in how it works in my country, which can be different from others, here each private college u can pick 2 courses) EVEN if theres incorrect info, i dont really mind its just an silly au about sp so yeah no need to be 100% correct (also cuz im a high schooler so i dont rlly know lol)
used a photo ref!!
#absolutely love this idea of them both being art students in love#i mean even my friend who is in art college and dont know south park loved these ideas!! <3#an artist being in love with u is receiving a lot of lovely artistic creations of u from them#sp fanart#kyle broflovski#south park fanart#stan marsh#south park#sp style#style south park#art#kyle sp#stan sp#style sp#sp kyle#sp stan#sp stanky#south park style#southpark fanart#kyle x stan#south park stan#south park kyle#stankyle#stan x kyle#au#my au#my headcanons#headcanon#south park au#south park headcanons

hi, mare!!!! i have no idea if u remember me, lmao, i sent an ask back in february i think! (also i am so incredibly sorry for sending this in general but⌠anywayâŚ)
but, i just wanted to say that you write so incredibly beautifully i actually cannot. i was just like, pacing around in my kitchen doing my maladaptive daydreaming shit when cough syrup came into my mind . specifically that one scene from chapter 28, when cs!ranboo says the sunset is pretty and cs!tubbo tells him heâs also pretty. and i genuinely teared up. that scene is always in the back of my mind itâs so insane. i think it might be something ill think about for a long time, even though i read it for the first time so long ago. i think itâs mainly the way you wrote it. âbeside him, the sun says, âso are you.ââ
something about that like genuinely drives me insane (in a good way, i promise!). i just. it is so small and niche and mundane and probably shouldnât matter this much but i am crying over it. and i am far from a crier, so if youâve gotten me to cry over a single sentence youâve done something incredibly right.
i donât know if youâve heard it a million times, or not at all, but you seriously have a way with writing. just so you know! because you definitely have to know!!!!
anyway⌠sorry for sending a cs ask, (also that it was very long) but!
thank you, once again, for writing this amazing piece. even if it never gets updated again, itâll always be in my heart, i guarantee it lmao
have a good day/night/afternoon <3 (and to anyone reading this)
hi there! i thought i recognized your url somehow, it's nice of you to stop by again! i'm really terrible with answering asks but honestly you are always welcome in my askbox, i like to visualize it as a cosy space
this is such an incredibly meaningful ask to me, my God. i'm so unspeakably glad that you liked that scene and the fact that it stuck with you this long really makes my entire week, honestly. it was a scene i poured a lot of heart into, as i did those two characters in general, and i'm really really grateful that it was received in such a caring way. thank you for giving that scene space in your heart.
i really really appreciate it, thank you. i've been struggling with prose writing lately so hearing that my writing can stick with people means a lot to me. cough syrup feels sacred, like an untouchable thing i've created that i now can't touch after so long of being estranged from its writing, but hearing kind words makes me feel like i can touch it again.
it's a fic i intend to finish, though i realized a few weeks ago it may take me several years to. i've sadly lost all love for that segment of content that became its source- -with no judgement to those who appreciate it, it's just no longer part of my heart (aside from my friends' artistic creations) but cough syrup is still meaningful to me. and honestly hearing that it is still thought fondly of even in 2024 is like earthshatteringly incredible. just a bit ago i remember freaking out over whether cough syrup meant anything and honestly, your kind words reminded me that it does, and it did. and the reason it mattered so much was because of the people like you who appreciated it.
so seriously, thank you. always feel free to send me cs asks -- again, i don't respond very timely but i always will see them. i appreciate you, and i hope you like the next upload, whenever it arrives.
have a delightful day/night/afternoon as well <3
#nightmare.ask#nightmare.cough-syrup#it's easy for me to get discouraged with CS but it's these kinds of comments that make me feel like. okay. i can face this#and in every fathomable way CS was nothing without all of the people who appreciated it#who sunk time into creating for it who commented on it who theorized about it#hopefully updates soon. hopefully soon.

Fandom discourse and culture has changed a lot over the years and I always try to err on the side of caution whenever possible.
The reasons writers create and share their work are varied and diverse: maybe they're trying to improve their writing and welcome advice, sometimes it's all about the ~ S Q U E E ~ because you loved the show/character and wants them in more situations, sometimes the reason is the ~ R A G E ~ about the direction canon took and you plan to murder it and use it's blood to re-write the story; this is more an illustrative than exhaustive list and sometimes there'll even be multiple reasons at once of course.
And sometimes, those reasons do not match or go well with any type of criticism, even well intentioned, constructive ones.
I saw an post on Tumblr that ilustrated very well another reason why one shouldn't simply assume that con-crit is welcome: if you go watch an amateur performance (in the most literal sense of the word of non-remunarated, regardless of quality of performance), one won't immediately presume afterwards to go to the artist and start critiquing it.
At the same time, I wholeheartedly think that one of the most wonderful, unique possibilities of fandom is the capacity for collaborative work between the authors of a story that is being posted as it's written and it's readers, culminating in an end product with quality that ends up being more refined than otherwise it would've been.
That type of interaction is even sometimes one of the main reasons people write fics, to not only create something, but also to share the act of that creation.
That works almost like making all the readers of a fic into beta-readers and can be a wonderful thing, but the post argued that the work done by betas is analogous to editing in published works, and that such a relationship is based on built trust, so while yeah, that dynamic between writer and all their readers could work, assuming and simply barging in is generally more harmful than productive.
When I adopted that new reasoning, I debated whether or not I should then mark all my bookmarks on AO3 as Private and make them inaccessible to anyone else, but in the end opted not to, mainly because even though I mainly write them for my future self, I also feel other readers can benefit a lot from knowing how the experience of someone who liked a work enough to rec it went, specially if while reading that fic they stumbled upon things they didn't like.
If there's one thing I learned from over 15 years of reading fics is that my tastes change over the years, and sometimes it's not even about the quality of the writing itself or even the progression of how polemic subjects are treated at any given time, but rather the moment that I am in changes how I receive the same work, such that tagging a certain work as one worth reading again later with no contextual information on the vibe I was riding when I did that will inevitably lead to a disappointment that is frankly an overreaction on my part.
That happened somewhat recently with a Frostiron fic I read a long time ago, in a moment where I was squeeing like crazy over the pairing (and it was a work of squee, so we matched really well) and it got on my list, but years later, when I was feeling nostalgic over the pairing and went to read my list of besties, the expectation I had was so great that the dichotomy between my experience back then and the one in the re-read were terribly big, even though it was a well written fic, squee and all, and the only real difference was that *I* wasn't squeeing over the pairing anymore.
And at the same time, I found that, in a way, this managing of expectations I do primarily for myself when I create a rec with the bad points of a fic that I loved can also be helpful for others, because even if it doesn't fit 100% since we're different people, I always thought the best recs I've always found were the ones that stated what were the cons of any given story, because those cons might not be something that bothered me like it bothered them or it even might end up being somewhat bothersome to me, but the pros outweigh them and, because I went in expecting to find those things, there's no disappointment in it, so they end up bothering me a lot less then it could've.
The other reason I eventually settled on not making my bookmarks private was actually because of those authors that seek improvement and welcome constructive criticism from all the readers who are invested in their story and value their thoughts and experiences while reading their work, because while yes, better to err on the side of caution and not go offering advice and opinions were those are not wanted, if we let that completely rule everything we do in fandom there will be a lot of loss in regards of this constructive, dynamic and interactive aspect so characteristic and wonderful to this type of media.
I know authors can have access to the bookmarks made of their fics, but unlike comments, it's not quite a space exclusively dedicated to them or even for interactions between reader/author.
In a lot of aspects, I'd even go as far as saying it's a space primarily for readers: it's not something that will culminate in a email sent to the author's mailbox, it serves mostly for filtering and ordering purposes (like when you're looking for fics to read and apply a filter to show only fics with a certain number of bookmarks or to order the fics shown from the greater to the least number of bookmarks) and also so readers can, reading these bookmarks, have a better idea on what's to expect from a work from different readers with different personalities and world views and ways to pereceive what was written.
And since it's a space the author *can* have access to *if* they want, it's possible for them to look at that place to see that con-crit while, at the same time, not being a place where that con-crit will get shoved in their faces if they *don't want it* and as such it seemed to me to be an overall respectfull and good compromise between those two points that seemed very important to me, and one of the only way I've found of making it known if that type of interaction is welcome, I'd be happy to head over to their comments and talk there.
If I'm marking it as a rec and commenting, I'm doing it because I think that fic absolutely is one of the best stories that I had the pleasure to read; however, the number of characters allowed in a bookmark rec are limited, so if I end up putting into it anything besides an incoherent keyboard smash, those things are going to be whatever points I feel are very important to keep in mind whenever starting to read it so that reading experience is the most enjoyable possible both for my future self who's going to look at that besties list and decide on what to read again as well as first time readers who might have seen the rec and will go in knowing somethings that, by their nature, don't tend to be things we tag for; they will have mostly what amounts to con-crit, so if you welcome this type of interaction or if the rec I made is bothering you in anyway, I urge you to get in contact with me through the fic mail I linked in my AO3 profile.
This post is getting linked there because the profile section doesn't allow enough characters for everything that I had to say about the subject.
As soon as I see the email, I'll either be happy to either tag the bookmark as Private so it won't be visible to anyone but myself if it bothered you or head over to your comments section so we can talk better about the points I raised if this type of interaction is something you welcome.

hello!! just thought I'd stop by and say thank u for making content for us!! your little creations help make my day go by a little better :) also I thought I should ask whats your favorite thing about each tbz members if you dont mind? I'm in the mood to adore these boys more! đđĽ°
Heyo <3 been seeing this ask around my dash and i just want to say thank u!! this is so sweet and thoughtful <3<3Â
my favorite thing about each member goes as follows:
Sangyeon: One of my favorite things about Sangyeon is his smile. There are also other things like the way he shows that he cares through both actions and words, his god awful dad jokes that always make me laugh, his absolute horrid losing streak at games; but none of them compare to his smile. If I had to say why, itâs because his smile incorporates all the things I love about him. Iâve said this before but TBZâs smiles can be split into two categories: the pretty smiles and the dorky smiles and Sangyeon just happens to have one of the prettiest smiles out there.
Jacob: With Jacob, itâs his voice. You could say Jacobâs singing voice is what attracts people to him (which is true), but for me his tone is what I really love. Jacob speaks the language of the clouds. When he talks, itâs soft and warm but not too thick. His voice is sort of transparent? But in a good way. He speaks with care and almost always with a smile.Â
Youngjoon: For Younghoon itâs his thoughtfulness. He thinks so much about how others around him act and feel and heâs not afraid to say it. A recent example is when he said he explained how he felt when he wasnât able to go dance the RTK stage with his fellow members. I think this plays into why hes so emotional (and a cute crybaby haha).Â
Hyunjae: Hyunjaeâs duality is my favorite quality about him. Not duality like âsexy vs cuteâ but duality with seriousness and goofiness. He plays and interacts comfortably with the maknaes (they have said this many times) and he was a big part in making them feel comfortable in the group. But at the same time you can see his dedication and hard work.Â
Juyeon: My favorite thing about Juyeon is his stage presence. Even though I tunnel vision on Sunwoo, Heâs always able to catch my eye in any performance heâs in. His dancing skills and facial expressions really do make you want to focus on him. The amazing thing is: he can do this whether TBZ is doing a cute or sexy concept. He has so much control with how he presents himself on stage itâs amazing.Â
Kevin: With Kevin, itâs his awareness. He pays attention to many things around him and continues to learn. Him being an artist might have helped him with this. He sees small details and it not only helps him adapt to those around him, but also to be as creative as he can be.Â
Chanhee: Chanheeâs patience takes the cake. This isnât a really obvious one, but I get the feeling that hes a very patient person. You can tell by the way he literally sits through TBZ bullying him. He also shows this trait through his vlives and the way he interacts with fans. He knows when he should be patient and when he shouldnât tolerate misbehavior. Though he looks like he could be the youngest member, heâs very mature.
Changmin: Changmin is a Qt ball of mischievousness. He likes pulling pranks and taking risks. For such a smiley boy, he love horror and doesnât seem to be afraid of anything. Thereâs literally no way to predict what heâs going to do next. Sometimes I wonder what goes through his brain or what he ate growing up for him to think the way he does.Â
Haknyeon: Haknyeonâs confidence is one of his most attractive points. It hurts to think that everything Mnet/Broduce did to him might have lowered his confidence for a short period. But now we know hes ambitious and confident (thank god for the GENZ video). He holds himself with pride but can appreciate the talent of others.
Hyunjoon: My favorite thing about Hyunjoon is his boldness. Whether he expresses this through his fashion or dancing, he never seems to care what other people think (at least in regards to what he likes). Some might see his fashion sense as over the top or his dancing as too expressive, but heâs never backed down from his own style and continues to do what he likes. I miss Hyunjoon so much đ he will forever be irreplaceable.
Eric: I love Ericâs, well, love. He has so much to give and I hope he knows heâs receiving even more. Whatâs even better is that heâs never afraid to show his love as well. His love for pink, his love for his family, his love for Juyeon his members, and of course, his love for his fans. As Kevin said, he has a big heart, maybe even the biggest one in the world.Â
Sunwoo: I saved Sunwoo for last because I know Iâm going to have a lot to say haha Just listing off the top of my head, some of the reasons I love Sunwoo are: His rapping, lyrics, humor, personality, cowardice, effortlessness, and much more (basically I love everything). But if I had to narrow it down to one specific trait, the thing I love most about him is his mannerisms. Sunwoo has many tiny little quirks that are so specific to him that I just canât help but fall in love over and over again. On stage and off stage, there are so many small details that make Sunwoo Sunwoo. His habit of licking his lips, crossing his fingers, talking with his hands, rubbing his eyes, scrunching his nose, laughing with his mouth wide open, etc. Every little detail is precious and there are probably even more I havenât noticed. His mannerisms arenât just in visible actions we see in videos, he also updates the fancafe almost every day. Itâs almost as if he treats it like his own little diary. Even if its just one line long or a âI love you deobis,â he always remembers to connect with his fans. Of course, he has his flaws, but theyâve helped him grow. Sunwoo without his quirks isnât Sunwoo, and I love him through every little detail.
#long post#will anyone even read this?#press x for doubt#hahasdkjfhsdkfh#i hate this im so cheesy go away erin#anon#eri.asks

Time...
â...Why you punish me?â
So, I explained last time the situation regarding the creation of my music...monetarily. But let me explain and expand on how my time is utilized on a monthly basis.
If I havenât made it clear, I hate my job. But hereâs the thing, itâs flexible (for the most part), has benefits: (insurance, free-ish air travel, scheduled pay increases). Cons: passengers are allowed to treat crew like shit, always working with new people (that you may not mesh well with), anyone you try establishing a relationship with has pre-conceived notions/little to no faith you will ever be around, pay SUCKS until you get REALLY senior (7+), and...more, but I digress. But that flexible schedule, albeit limited, has afforded me the ability to work on music; until it doesn't.Â
See, I was getting âcomfortableâ in my work situation a few years ago until certain a situation beyond my control forced me into deep debt, bad credit, and deeper depression. In order to fix all of this, money is needed. How do u get money? Work more. More work leads to more depression and sometimes health issues. So, Iâve been stuck in this seamlessly endless cycle of paycheck to paycheck living. And my desire and NEED to work on my music has not helped it (as explained in the previous blog post). Every time I get a bit more money, it goes to my craft.Â
See, after you put all that money into creating art, you have to then put it OUT there. And in the case of a performer, you need to do live performances. That is a whole other situation in itself. There are lots avenues to get live performance experience. Open mics, concert showcases, live cabaret/karaoke bars, etc. Guess what THEY ALL COST MONEY. But not only money, LOTS of excess time is involved.Â
This past spring, I was dragged into a showcase by my producer friend (who Iâm partially in love with but heâs straight...but thatâs another story). In order to do a showcase, you have to apply for acceptance. Applications involve you submitting current work and having a worthy social media following (which you have had to spend constant time building). Once you fill out the application, send the files and info, PAY your entry fee ($25) and receive your acceptance, you then have to sell tickets. Yes, how do they get people to come to the showcase? By having YOU bring them. And if you cannot find people to buy your tickets, all of those tickets come out of YOUR pocket. So, I was given 25 tickets to sell (last minute mind you); 25 tickets to sell at $20 bucks each. So, if I don't sell them, I owe the company $500 dollars. Yup, thatâs correct. In order for me to perform my original content on their stage, I needed to make sure they got their $525 and help them get people in the venue so that they buy drinks at the bar (which we were given ZERO drink tickets for). Now before stepping on stage, you donât get a sound check. So, you show up early before everyone to check in and simply check they have your correct music file(s) then wait...and wait...and wait. But your music has to be edited within their restrictions (this means more studio time. Remember, studio time =more $$...just making sure ur following me. Too many times youâll hear big recording artists talking about how they have just sat in studios for hours creating a song from scratch. Yeah, only if you are signed to major label is this a thing! But anyway...back to the showcase.)Â
Needless to say, I did everything I needed to. But I had some help since I asked to do this last minute and told them UP FRONT they would have had to get that unsold ticket money from me in blood. I landed from working a redeye the day before, got a nap in, did my vocal exercises in my car on my way to New Jersey, checked in and sat there. Since some people didn't show up on TIME, I was abruptly grabbed from drinking my whiskey at the bar and told âYOUâRE ON NEXT!â  Being the seasoned professional that I am, took that shot to the head, said âActually, thatâs not my slot...but ok, Iâm ready.â NO SOUND CHECK, NEVER given TIME on the stage beforehand...I went on. Sung my ass off with a standing ovation from the judges. Then, went back to drinking with my friends who were in shock because they had never heard me really sing live. Then I had sit for HOURS while mediocre ârappersâ and âsingersâ rapped over pre-recordings of their own vocals. Finally, they were ready to announce the winners. I won that sucker.
But what did I win? ...A promise to be put into another show... *DICK FACE*  No money to recoup what I just spent getting to this moment. No free promotion on social media to help me and my art. NO, some bullshit. So, I took the experience fore what it was and cut my losses. I got some exposure and was able to test out an unreleased song...but besides that. Nothing but wasted time and effort. I left there feeling somewhere between elation and disappointment. Not to mention, I was exhausted; I had done all this after working my full time job, and had to work again the next day. So all I had time to do was drive home and sleep.Â
âLike a wave bashing into the shore...
Since this, I have had some money issues and mental health issues, so I have just barely been able to work on music. On my days off, I have to sleep and get back in the groove of being a real person instead of a redeye zombie. Then when Iâm feeling slightly normal, Iâm back to work...it is a vicious, irritating, restraining cycle. Iâve tried working shorter flights so Iâm home more; nope, the pairings (schedules) for those flights work you in a way that leaves you feeling raped. My company will build a pairing with a duty time of 27hrs and only pay you for 15-17 of those hours. DOESNâT MAKE SENSE. Then on top of that, your rest time at the hotel is set to 11hrs...WTF??Â
Let me explain this for those of you with normal jobs. On these pairings, you are schedule to work a number of flights each day. So, 3 day pairing means you work 3-4 flights each day and have 2 layovers. Now lets say FLIGHT time is 1.5-2.5 hrs each (8-12hrs). Then you land from your final flight for day one. Weâre usually delayed at our carrier...honestly, rarely on time. So, you have minimum rest at 11hrs. BUT, before you can leave the aircraft we have to get all passengers off the plane, CLEAN the seats, wait on our shuttle which is probably late if your pilots are sucky human beings and havenât called ahead to make sure theyâre there (Pilots arenât required to clean; just us lowly peasants). So, by the time you get to the hotel, down to 10hrs. If you get there and rooms are ready, great. IF NOT, another 20-30 min or longer. But, lets say youâre down to 9.5hrs now. Get to your room. Hopefully your key works, air/heat works, no one is already in you room (yes...it happens all the time), room already cleaned, no bed bugs, and you arenât by a noisy ice machine/elevator. You then have to shower and eat. Letâs say you get all that done in an hour. You now have 8.5 hrs to sleep...BUT WAIT, the van is scheduled to pick you up from the hotel 45 min to an hour before you are supposed to report at the airport and you need to be dressed and ready to make that van. So instead of 8.5hrs, you actually have 7hrs at best to sleep and pop outta bed, get dressed and properly ready to do the shit show all over again; all the while, knowing they are really only paying you for the time you spend on the aircraft, AFTER THE DOOR IS CLOSED AND THE BRAKE IS RELEASED. Time before like boarding, checks, delays? nope...no pay. Just us waisting our fucking time. Literally.
Why, is this? cuz everyone does it is the answer. That is how all airlines do it, so you have no leg to stand on. Got a union, the company retaliates like a reprimanded toddler. Now as I said before, once you get to be a super senior in your company and can choose what you want to work, when you want to work, in the position you want to work, getting $40/hr at base hours and a crazy amount for premium (overtime) hour, etc. the job is GOLDEN. (Unless that company gets purchased/merged.) But for a young person/flight attendant in debt, living in NYC, with a high cost of living, life ainât fun. I tried living in New Jersey for a lower cost; that came with its own issues. Iâve taken out loans, became a hermit to save money, worked holidays, etc. Dug my hole deeper is what I did. And Iâm pretty good at setting goals and managing my time and getting things DONE. But for some fucking reason, life is not working in my favor. This job is not working for me. I see younger people coming up behind me doing LITTLE to no work, getting musical accolades with trash âmusicâ (I know, matter of opinion...but really. Câmon now), young white/latino/asian twinks shaking their ass for anything that breathes and getting rich men to pay their bills or marry them, all the while telling me they just want my BBC or other racist BS like that (Yes, I have receipts) and Iâm just like WTF AM I DOING WRONG?! Have I spent my time stupidly?Â
And the most recent shit that really hurt my feelings: If any of you remember (to the three of you reading this lol), a few months ago I posted about help getting into bartending. Well, I had actually asked a friend in person before that about bartending and if he knew any directors who could do a music video. This âfriendâ told me âno, not reallyâ. Didnât know anything about that, he just does movies and short films (which Iâve donated to his kickstarters for btw...) but no one who he thinks does music videos. THEN, I asked this same âFRIENDâ how much he would charge to be IN a music video, as I had a song (the one I won the showcase with) that he would be perfect for as it deals with subject matter he rallies for. I wanted to help his career out in turn by help my video out, because Iâm ugly and having beautiful actors in my video would be a better sell (as again, I need this song to make money. He then tells me me, heâs not sure how much he would charge for that. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER...this bitch releases a music VIDEO to his NEW SINGLE about a SIMILAR SUBJECT!! Without promotion, he gets instant 2.2k hits on the video on youtube. MIND YOU, he would always be shy to sing around me and I told him, âyou need to give yourself more credit. You have a beautiful voice.â Meanwhile, Iâm asking for some knowledge from him, and he wouldnât help me with ANYTHING. I have NEVER asked for a hand out. Just tell me where the door is, I will get in even if I have to pick the lock. But he not only pretended he didnât know where the door was, he was holding the keys, had lock picks on the side and duplicates to share; But, for whatever reason...didnât want to share that with me. Even though, I was going to include him in MY art without any thought and was willing to pay. Now, I have some thoughts on why he did this. But seeing as Iâm on the verge of tears, Iâll end on that note.
...You wash away my dreams.â

hello! how is your day going? i hope everything is fineđ sorry to bother you, you can ignore this if you are not still doing this. what do you think about pisces sun, taurus moon and virgo rising? i would love to hear your opinion! i really like your blog. thank you and have a nice dayâŁď¸
hey there!! đđđ no worries at all!! đđ uâre not bothering me ksjfnknk i can definitely talk about it đđ thank u for being so nice and understanding đ
âWarning - Long Post â (im sorry the read more is fucking up)
[Below Cut: Pisces Sun - Taurus Moon đ ]
Thereâs a certain independence to them, like âfreedom!!!!!!!â and can cling onto thatâ itâs definitely not a bad thing at all, in fact it makes them all the more endearing. They are people who bode well when others leave them alone to do let them do their own thing skdnfkn
You know what I love most about them? Theyâre peace-keeping. Like these people have a kind of purity in their heart that wants to spread it to the world outside as well, so most of the time if theyâre ADAMANT on somethingâ theyâre trying looking out for others around them
Theyâre the kind of people who wonât let you get away with toxic/dangerous situation, can sometimes feel warmly concerned for others and try to care for them in their own ways. May tend to feel like they should keep an eye on something (hovering) but knows consciously not to impose themselves onto them.
Like they donât really âpushâ themselves onto others (*depends on context and whatâs happening though)â they have a lil more flexibility than say a fire sign. Theyâre kinda like âok, well if you think thatâs the best option then ill support you. But you know I think thereâs other ways you can do thisâ
Theyâre straight forward, not in the conventional sense. Theyâll let their opinions be known to the person (full disclosure), so that if things go southâ the other person isnât totally blindsided by their own perspective cause theyâve already heard the Pisces/Taurus opinion y know?
Theyâre there to care for others and can be great at picking up other peopleâs pieces (if they fall apart)-- but the thing is they might not get to do it a lot (*It depends on the people around them too, if theyâre emotional or not) since theyâre good at pre-caution (warning others, taking care of others, making sure theyâre ok).Â
Theyâre not stupid, and they donât hang out with people who are stupid.
They do their best to be mild-mannered with people, they try to exude the MOST patient and tolerance they have for others.Â
They might be more of the listening type, because if they start talkingâ they often feel like they have to watch their words (from being too blunt/not delicate enough for what they want to do)
They do their best to be Gentlest Person first, and may view others as being more delicate than them sometimes.Â
The Taurus Moon here makes the person feel like their internal self is sturdierâ thereâs a density to their emotional depth/consciousness.Â
Compared this to other people, they donât know how other people ARE â whether they break or is fine with it-- so they do their best to be as Gentle as possible with them,
The Pisces/Taurus person knows themselves best, compared to how they know others. They can Take It if push comes to shove for them, if someone has some hard-hitting advice to give that is more practical/objective than subjective (so not a personal attack, just an advice).Â
But they donât know if OTHERS are like that. What if they canât take it? Pisces/Taurus are always looking out for others even when they WANT to give hard-hitting advice. Theyâre pretty conscious of other peopleâs well-being and feeling, so they only do it when itâs NECESSARY and thereâs no other way they can go about this.Â
The sturdiness of Taurus gives people peace of mind around them, they feel tranquil (especially with Pisces) â they may often find themselves to be very artistic people. Writing, drawing, etc. Both of these signs are in good placements for artistic expressions and creation, manifesting and fulfilling their idealism and goals
Another thing is also their resourcefulness, kind of like finding money on the ground and going âoh! lucky!â â they may often find themselves to be pretty lucky people, picking up things/noticing things right before itâs needed/others notice as well. Thus why they may be personally popular with those who adore them, they just seem so genuinely âno biggieâ kind of attitude-- it makes them easy-going to be around, because theyâre just themselves y know
One thing about this Pisces Sun is that the Moon definitely stops them from being a complete push-over or being used by people. They value themselves and their inner integrity, being forced to move/do things without their complete consent/control is a no-no.Â
They may be willing to lend a hand and help/care for others (Venusian Moon and Neptunian/Jupiterian Sun) but theyâre NOT allowing others to get away with selfish gain at their expense (without disclosure/so when theyâre blindsided).
Watch that you donât let yourself slip, you can be completely blindsided (by your own) leisure-orientedness. You like things that are smooth, harmonious and can see a clear path to achieving. You like feeling like youâve accomplished something and then luxuriating in that feeling.
Challenge yourself sometimes, by being more open-minded and daring. By not being motivated by âthe light at the end of the tunnelâ.
Dare yourself to let your real feelings show. Seriously, you feel so deeply/strongly for others and things in your life, yet you may feel like you canât express them all completely.Â
When it comes to your feelingsâ despite being a Pisces, you may skrt away from Actually confronting the depth of your emotions. While you may be sentimental and âfeelingâ all the time â you actually get stuck trying to really pull out your own emotional depth (and sometimes it tangles and becomes âemotional beliefsâ instead) and clean out your past feelings.
Getting too deep terrifies you because you donât know how to get back out. You donât know if itâs well-received or how to do it, but it will seriously help you. You can also find yourself living in the past, remembering sensation, a time period, past achievements, living inside your own body instead of in the present. Another motivation to do a deep cleaning of your inside instead of letting it control you đ
Itâll help you with not being stubborn or fixed in your point of view, make you open and relax, be a little less tense in your perspective. You tend to cling onto what you know and can see (metaphorically and materially) and thus sometimes, the way you want to be (open and understanding, free and warm) is restricted by your own structured comfort and âtraditionâ
Honestly just letting your true feelings show will help with everything, thatâs the main point of tension. It may be your protection, your strength and advantage. But if you donât clean it out or maintain it properly, itâll clog up and become a disadvantage for you as well.
I hope this is good!! đđđ thank u for sending in the ask!! đđ i hope u have a good day~ đ Â

BeyArMaMo 2018 - Event Info
- Beyblade Art Making Month -
A B O U T
BeyArMaMo is an annual art event that encourages fans of Bakuten Shoot Beyblade to get creative throughout October.
The Beyblade Art Making Month came about in 2008 after it occured to me that I loved art and I loved Beyblade but I hadnât been combing the two together enough. I decided to rectify this by setting myself the challenge to create a piece of Beyblade art every day for an entire month. There were plenty of scribbles and hastily drawn nonsense (and a inexplicable drawing of Daichi sitting on a cow) but somehow I managed to complete the challenge. And I felt awesome.
The following year, I decided to take up the challenge again but this time I was joined by a handful of friends from DeviantArt. It was received positively and that was pretty much that. The event has since been held each October, growing year on year, and with fans participating from all around the world. This year we will be celebrating BeyArMaMoâs 10th Anniversary.
T H E Â C H A L L E N G E
The BeyArMaMo concept is pretty simple. Participants are challenged to create Bakuten Shoot Beyblade art throughout October - thatâs it. It doesnât even have to be good art. Or finished. The focus is on creation so thereâs no problem if you can only manage a scribble or something comes out a bit wonky. Itâs simply about creating something when we otherwise might not have done. Itâs all good.
It sounds pretty easy but when youâre crawling in from a long shift from work the last thing youâll probably want to think about doing is, well, anything. Or maybe youâve got the school run, and the shopping to do and you need a tidy round and before you know it itâs bedtime and you havenât had chance to pick up a pencil. Perhaps you just canât think of anything to draw or you might simply be lacking any measure of motivation. This is where the challenge aspect comes in. Some days youâll be throwing out art left, right and centre and others will leave you cursing all your life choices. But thatâs part of what makes it exciting. Itâs sort of stressful in a good way.
If youâre not loving the idea of stress then donât worry - help is at hand. There are three challenge types for you to choose from. Each is akin to a different difficulty so if you want a nice gentle time, have at it. But if you want an all encompassing Beyblade art extravaganza then you can have that too.
Simply pick the challenge type that appeals to you most and rock on.
01 - BeyArMaMo
This is the original, and most difficult, challenge. Your aim is to create at least one piece of artwork every day throughout October. By the end of the month you should have created at least 31 pieces of art.
02 - Mini-BeyArMaMo
This is a gentle challenge to motivate you while keeping the stress at a minimum. Your aim here is to create at least one piece of art every week throughout October. By the end of the month you should have created at least 4 pieces of art.
03 - Super-Mini-BeyArMaMo
This is, in theory, the least challenging of the three options. Just a 1 piece of art, thatâs all you need to do. Perfect for those of us with hectic lives. And procrastinators.
T H E M E Â D A Y S
Theme days are an optional extra to help inspire or challenge you. Each day, a new theme will be posted for you base your work on. It might be a colour or an object, a feeling or a place. You can choose to use all the themes, some of the themes or none at all. Participants in the Mini-BeyArMaMo challenge may pick any of the themes posted in each particular week.
The full theme list will be posted one week before the start of BeyArMaMo to help you plan your artwork.
R U L E S
BeyArMaMo was designed to be a challenge but itâs also extremely casual. Like, whatever. Above all else itâs meant to be fun so please donât worry about the rules, even though there are technically rules. You can actually get away with a lot. But if you do wish to be mindful of the rules, here they are.
1) This event is solely for Bakuten Shoot Beyblade fan art. âBeybladeâ is not used as a blanket term for the entire franchise. Only art based on Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, Bakuten Shoot Beyblade 2002 (V Force), Bakuten Shoot Beyblade G Revolution, Bakuten Shoot Beyblade The Movie: Gekitou!! Takao vs Daichi (Fierce Battle) and the manga (including Rising) is permitted.
2) All art must contain Bakuten Shoot Beyblade characters. They can cosplay, reference other series or even dive into a world of crossovers, but the main focus must be Beyblade. OCs, however, are not permitted.
3) Your art shouldnât be created in advance. Art for day one should be created on the 1st of October, day two on the 2nd of October, and so on. For the weekly challenge, art for week three should be created during the third week, etc. Creating your art in advance sort of lessens the joy.
4) Your art can be in any form. Digital illustrations, traditional illustrations, comics, literature, photography, crafts, cosplay - baking even! If you want to knit Kaiâs scarf, you go for it.
5) Enjoy. Itâs not technically a rule as such but⌠Please just roll with it and try not to stress yourself out. If you donât finish or you miss a day, donât worry. Youâre still awesome because youâre embracing your Beyblade love. And thatâs all that matters.
H O W Â T O Â P A R T I C I P A T E
You will be able to sign up for the event from the 1st of September until the 30th of September. A list of registered participants will be made available so you can share links to your artwork and find other artists so follow.
If you prefer not to sign up officially then thatâs fine too. You can participate in your own way.
Exclusive BeyArMaMo goodies will be available for registered members to purchase during the event.
The sign up form will be posted at the beginning of September.
S C H E D U L E Â
BeyArMaMo runs from the 1st of October to the 31st of October but there are a few other noteworthy dates too.
1st September 2018 - BeyArMaMo sign-up period begins.
24th September 2018 - Daily themes announced.
30th September 2018 - BeyArMaMo sign-up period ends.
1st October 2018 - BeyArMaMo 2018 begins.
31st October 2018 - BeyArMaMo 2018 ends.
1 0 T H Â A N N I V E R S A R Y
BeyArMaMo is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and to commemorate this momentous occasion I am planning a souvenir art book. Iâll be sharing more details about this shortly and I hope some of you might like to take part in it too!
A N D Â F I N A L L Y Â
I think Iâve covered everything here that needs to be covered but if thereâs something youâre not sure about then just get in touch. Iâll be sorting out a few extra things over the next few weeks before sign ups start so expect one or two more updates before then. In the meantime, keep being awesome and if you feel like sharing news about the event then that would be lovely. Hopefully weâll have an absolute bunch of us raring to go by October!
Take it easy, guys!

Recently i read a tumblr post by @tibby and @keltik who responded to it about Marvel and here are my views on it and Marvel over all.
The other reasons that people (me incl.) dislike MCU are these, 1. They have movies with characters that are quite flat, not rounded enough for my taste, i feel after watching that movie, that it was just ok, i feel a heightened sense of adrenaline from all the action, but this was action very much choreographed and using special effects and the like and especially, the concept of superpowers, superpowers imo, are not at all close to realistic, i have watched marvel movies, so don't think I'm not speaking from experience, and uk the ones i liked? IM1-2 and only Loki as a character from Thor, ik very popular choices, but uk the reason i chose these? I like the actors, their acting brings out something from a character that's supposedly non-human and godly with farfetched realities and a sense of saviour complex with no consequences. So when u ask me, i hated Thor, CA, and the new Hulk (the older one i liked because of the aesthetic appeal of the movie, plus again, Ed Norton's delivery)
2. Now you will go ahead and say it requires efforts to think up a storyline, but that's all they do, they don't develop their characters, they keep adding in more on the plot, and a thing that bothers me most is how people don't realise the money-drawing that this company is doing, with appealing to what the fans want. (especially those with not much else to do in life than fantasize of their idol superheroes instead function in a realm of reality) no offense, but the instant i hear someone say "oh i love mcu, n I'll defend it till my last breath" what i hear is "i believe these movies are my religion and these characters are my gods, I'm part of a pseudoreal cult that believes rather than solve the problems or search for their solutions in the real world, I'd much rather be satisfied by the barely-there plot of this movie which seemingly always ends happily for the protagonists where they save the world, because the reality of helping the world an ounce bothers me, and my empathy keeps bumming me out so what's the solution to all that? Never growing past a fantasy and reveling in it to escape from reality."
3. Now even from a professional pov, famous directors, like say, Martin Scorcese famously came out vocally against MCU and their banal tactics of creating a storyline that never ends so the money that enters the producer's pockets never ends too. He said it's the end of the movie going culture where u saw actual lives, as close to them as possible being portrayed on screen and inspiring people generations over and finding catharsis and solace in the characters' lives and maybe somewhere applying it in their own. And moreover, don't u see what it does to art itself? The ample number of creators involved in the MCU and the amounts of rejections and dilutions of their creativity they receive just to satisfy a corporate overlord organization that functions on keeping the public engaged, and giving them what they want, (which fyi is what they make us think we want, i hope uk the psychology behind their marketing these movies etc.) It takes away from the silver screen or mainstream the opportunity for niche or indie movie makers n artists to ever reach a platform that can gain their creation any recognition and therefore through the medium of storytelling they get to expand the horizons of not just the possibilities of cinema, but the minds of the viewers as well.
4. I have also read a lot many places that "art isn't always supposed to be deep", or "can't people just for a good time and come back satisfied n happy and not think too much of it's morality or effect on humankind?" And to that i say, yeah go ahead, watch some stupid movie that's about ghosts entering dimensions or superheroes saving the world, the brain needs to rest too and we all need laughs and a period of not too much cognitive effort. But, here lies the problem now, what if all that's ever made henceforth is just that? And what if the organisation that handles the pulse of the market has control over not just it's own releases and their viewer response, but also that of other movies and actors n actresses who act in said other movies and can control how much fame and how much of an audience they can get or momentum they can hold. Uk, DC has been making Superman and Batman shows n movies since the 40s and 50s, but back then it didn't become an all consuming franchise over the film industry because the audience didn't give it that much attention or even if they did they just saw them once or twice in a decade, were satiated and that was it. Now that the marketers of these movies have seen the reduced attention span of this generation and the ease of accessibility and the need for escapism due to low quality of life, they have capitalised on all of that and captivated, rather, held them by the throat and squeezed out every ounce of their limited attention into a continuing series of episode after episode of an ongoing never-ending but also never satisfying and always keeping u wanting for more saga of absolute and utter bullshit. (Excuse my language)
5. Lastly, like I mentioned everywhere up till now, the last is the concept of capitalist greed. U know how corporations run the world on their terms and make people into machines that worship their God that "gives them what they think they want" and then keeps on sucking their souls n money just to keep it's belly full. So yeah, i hope this made sense to you as viewers and fans of this particular franchise and i hope u understand this isn't a personal attack towards the individuals watching Marvel as a fun passtime or so but for those that tout it as the superior form of cinematic experience and storytelling.
So, if u read this and are up for debating on this you're welcome to do so in the comments and reblogs. I have nothing against those that enjoy watching these movies, I'm not here to make your decisions for u or take your choices or freedom away or anything, it's just that fanatism particularly for this franchise needs to be from a conscious perspective too.
Thanks for reading.

âI Am YEG Artsâ Series: April Dean, Executive Director of SNAP
April Dean, photo provided by the artist.Â
Artists thrive when theyâre connected to each otherâwhen their desire for creation is reflected back in the hearts and minds of those they share space and time with. If that sounds like something you might hear at an artist-run centre, youâre not wrong. Theyâre the words of April Deanâa visual artist, teacher, and the Executive Director at the Society of Northern Alberta Print-Artists (SNAP).
Connecting artists to each other and new ideas is something SNAPâs been doing for nearly 40 years. From their workshops and printmaking studio to their focus on being a community resource, support of artistic excellence and experimentation is at the heart of all their programs and policies. So is April Dean. An accomplished artist herself, she understands the consequential value of opportunity, practice, and mentorship. Paired with her ability to lead and determination to unlearn, sheâs driven to improve the conditions of arts and culture, alongside others determined to do the same. This weekâs âI Am YEG Artsâ story belongs to April Dean.
Tell us about your connection to Edmonton and how itâs influenced your path.
I was born in Edmonton! I grew up in the northeast corner of the city, in Clareview, and was incredibly fortunate to have parents who went out of their way to encourage engagement with the arts. My entire family has now relocated to other parts of the country, and I find myself, often to my own surprise, still here!
What keeps you here, working and creating?
There is something intangible about how I want to respond to this question, and Iâve been asked it many times before. I have moved away from Edmonton in the past. I sincerely did not expect to return. When I chose to return, I didnât expect to stay long. It turns out my professional network and relationships here continue to foster growth. Iâve never felt stagnant, and I keep finding opportunities for renewalâopportunities to extend myself and feel both challenged by and of value to other artists. I am driven by opportunities to improve the conditions of arts and culture, and the Edmonton arts community is currently full of other people equally driven to do the same.
Tell us a little about what makes the SNAP Gallery community special to you and the city.
SNAP is an undeniably special place that holds a lot of significance for artists and audiences alike. The connection between the studio and gallery is a critical oneâit seems to make all the mystery and endless possibility of printmaking very tangible and inviting. The word community has been receiving some side-eye recently, and for good reason. Itâs a complex label that is readily applied in the arts without thorough consideration of those it implies and those it might exclude.
SNAP, at its core, has been a place for artists for almost 40 years. Artists thrive when they are connected to each other, when their desire for creation is reflected back in the hearts and minds of those they share space and time with. What I have witnessed, and I hope fostered, at SNAP is a constant expansion and welcome plurality of what artistic practice can be here.
How did you become involved with SNAP and arts advocacy?
My earliest experiences with SNAP were as a volunteer when I was a university student in 2007/2008. Marc Siegner is one of SNAPâs founding members and has done a great job extending invitations to keen printmaking students to come and be involved at SNAP. I was finishing university and feeling modestly aimless about what to do next, and SNAP seemed like a place where my skills would be usefulâso I spent a few years installing exhibitions, painting walls, teaching workshops, and planning events as a volunteer. I also had early career opportunities to work at the U of A museums, and the AFA on short-term contracts, and at Latitude 53 in a programming role, so I managed to gain a lot of insight and experience in a short amount of time.
Tell us about someone whoâs been a mentor to you and what you learned.
Blair Brennan has been an incredible force of support and optimism in my life, as I know he has been for so many others. Blairâs buoyant support has always felt unconditional, and his magical thinking has often challenged my pragmatism. Heâs been an inspiring teacher in his steadfast dedication to his own art practice, while managing to offer so much time, advice, collaboration, and generous attention to other artists.
More recently Iâve found a network of other women in leadership roles in Edmonton who have become critical supporters, collaborators, and teachers. These connections and relationships have had a profound impact on me due to the care and trust that has been established.

When you think YEG arts, what are the first three things, people, or places that come to mind?
This is a hard question, so Iâm not going to overthink it:
1. The colourful bison mural in the Milner Library underground parkade (which also summons the undeniable sewer scent of the parkade).
2. Edmontonâs Indigenous Art Park: ááᤠ(ĂNĂW) River Lot 11â
3. That buzzy feeling of energy and optimism after an event or gatheringâbeing reminded of how many stellar intersections of people make up our unique communities here.
7. What advice would you give artists wanting to live and work here?
Show up!
Be generous and flexible!
Think about the work of others at least as much as youâre thinking about your own!
Collaborate!
Send letters to other artists (DMs count, I suppose)!
You can be critical and kind at the same time! Feedback is a gift.
Donât buy into scarcity models!
Ask for what you want or need!
What has working with the YEG arts community taught you about yourself?
The past two years have been incredibly difficult for me professionally, and part of that difficulty comes from growing pains. Iâve learned how to unlearn! To begin challenging and rethinking some deeply embedded and systemic ways of being that simply donât serve me as an artist or that donât create or allow the kind of conditions I want for other artists. Iâve learned softness and generosity. Iâve learned what conversations I want to be having and which ones arenât worth my time anymore. Iâve learned how to apologize! I havenât learned any of these things on my own, and I am so grateful for the friends and colleagues who constantly model better ways to be in the world.
Tell us one of your favourite YEG arts memories.
In 2017 Ociciwan Contemporary Art Collective created an enigmatic, haunting, and stunning performance at the Winspear Centre: in memoriam⌠by Postcommodity and Alex Waterman. This moving work will stay with me forever and truly crystallized for me how grateful I am to share space and time with Ociciwan and to witness their powerful work.
Describe your perfect day in Edmonton. How do you spend it?
After the tumultuousness of 2020, Iâve grown to really value rest and slowness. A perfect day for me would involve time outdoors (some crisp fall sweater weather please), ample coffee, zero electronic screens, and a healthy balance between quiet observation and generous conversation. I also really love to share a good laugh.
Want more YEG Arts Stories? Weâll be sharing them here all year and on social media using the hashtag #IamYegArts. Follow along!

BLACKPINK's Jennie makes her first post on Weverse, sends fans into frenzy
BLACKPINK's global reach doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon, with the creation of a community on the popular fan-artist-interaction platform Weverse, with Jennie commemorating the event!Weverse is an online platform used by fans to officially communicate with artists who have an official community on the platform. The app was developed by HYBE Corporation (previously known as BigHit Entertainment). A few of the artists currently on the forum are BTS, TXT, Treasure, CL, and NU'EST.After Jennie's post, it seemed to have rubbed some people the wrong way due to what is being referred to as a "glitch" on Weverse's part.
BLACKPINK makes their official entrance to Weverse, and Jennie starts the train
Midway through July, BLACKPINK's entertainment label YG announced that the girls would be joining Weverse on August 2nd.Today, a special video was posted featuring all the BLACKPINK members, announcing that they'd officially be using the platform from now on.BLACKPINK fans were happy to see the news and even happier after Jennie put up a couple of posts on the platform, talking with other fans and sharing a few pictures of herself. Immediately, Jennie began trending on Twitter, and fans flooded the site with messages of encouragement and excitement after seeing her posts. Soon after, however, trouble began to stir in paradise. Supposedly, Weverse sent out notifications of Jennie's posts to those who hadn't joined the BLACKPINK community within the application yet, creating mixed reactions. While many were simply confused, some fans began to express anger at the "glitch" (as some referred to it). Others directed anger towards Jennie, and a few were happy to see another artist join the ever-growing platform.Blinks (fans of BLACKPINK) did not skip a beat and immediately stepped up to defend Jennie from the negative attention she was inadvertently receiving. i get that a lot of us didnât sign up for bp weverse notifs but some of yâall are being mad disrespectful towards jennie⌠she literally didnât do anything??? thereâs no reason for yall to be sending her hate damnâ cynthia ⡠â (@jinkookswrld) August 2, 2021jennie is being so active try to connect with fans and chat with them more lately so don't try to changes and destroy that beautiful moments at all. Pls pls pls do an imagine based off the Drabble u did!!!!! I feel like itâs such an amazing idea of having ur son realise the sacrifices youâve made!!
Birthday Card
Fandom: Criminal MindsPairing: Luke Alvez x ReaderPrompt: Request (based on this drabble)
Description: With your birthday coming up, your son realises just how important you are to himâŚwith a little encouragement from Luke.
Delighted shrieks echoed around the living room as Luke chuckled warmly, only just dodging the glue that your son had accidentally spilt all over the floor. It wasnât the easiest task to supervise a toddlerâs artistic creation, but he couldnât deny that it was adorable to watch him put so much effort into making your birthday card.
He smiled softly as your son carefully drew a giant heart across the paper, clapping his hands gleefully as he received a kiss of approval from his father. Luke just wanted to make this birthday particularly special for you, given how much stress you had been under at work recently.
All you really wanted was to be able to spend time with your family. So, the best gift you could ask for was the kind of thoughtfulness that your youngest son had poured into his card.
Unfortunately, recruiting your eldest to the task was proving considerably difficult. A frown crossed Lukeâs face as he observed your teenager scowling from his place on the couch. Of course, he had been going through his surly phase for a while now. However, he had hoped that he would be able to put it to one side for your special day.
âDonât forget itâs your momâs birthday tomorrow.â Luke reminded him, chortling as your toddler painted a daisy on his hand.
However, his smile faded as he realised that his words were only met with silence. Confusion filled his eyes as he glanced up at his eldest son, noting his tense posture and withdrawn behaviour.
It wasnât like him to be so subdued.
âWhatâs wrong?â Luke asked him quietly, already suspecting the answer. Sometimes being a profiler came in handy when it came to understanding teenagersâ mood swings.
âShe didnât even make it to her own party last year.â Your teenager replied curtly, his voice strangely cold as he folded his arms across his chest defiantly.
Lukeâs eyes softened at his words, sympathy surging through him as he realised just how upset your eldest had been last year when all his efforts into planning your surprise party went to waste following an urgent call into work that you had received.
It could be hard on him sometimes when you werenât around as much. He might pretend like he didnât need his mother fussing over him, but he always painfully missed it when you werenât there to help him with his homework or watch his favourite shows with him.
However, that didnât mean that Luke was about to accept him dismissing your hard work or disrespecting you.
âYour mom tries her best.â He insisted, holding up a hand to halt your teenagerâs protests as he sat upright. âDo you know how incredibly lucky you are to have a mom who cares so much about others and her own family?â
He gazed at his son, trying to get him to understand just how much you loved your family and all the sacrifices you had made to ensure the best for them. It had always been important, especially to Luke, that your dedication was respected.
A soft smile played on his lips as your toddler gripped his hand tightly, seemingly aware of the change of atmosphere in the room.
âWho was the one who spent all night comforting you last week when you werenât feeling well?â Luke murmured quietly, biting back a smirk as he restrained himself from mentioning that your âgrown upâ son had ended up cuddling you because it was the only thing that made him feel better. âShe stayed up all night and still went into work the next day because her patients needed her too.â
He was moved by the softness in your teenagerâs eyes as he met his curious gaze. Apparently, his message was getting through.
âSheâs made a lot of sacrifices for us.â Luke reminded him firmly, touched by the small nod he received in response.
This time, your teenagerâs silence spoke volumes as he sank back into the plump sofa cushions.
The admiration in his eyes was evident as he thought over everything you had done for him. He almost couldnât believe that he had been thinking such hurtful things. He had never truly doubted your commitment, it was just hard sometimes when he couldnât spend as much time with you as he would like.
Plus, it wasnât as if he could say anythingâŚhe was meant to be a surly teenager who didnât need his mom anymore.
A deafening squeal of excitement broke him from his thoughts as he watched his little brother toss a handful of sparkling glitter onto his carefully crafted card, Luke swiftly preventing him from emptying the rest of the pot onto his head.
As he watched his younger sibling and father together, the thought struck him that you hadnât been much older than him when you had first had a baby. Both you and Luke had been so young when he was born that he almost forgot how hard it must have been. He certainly couldnât even imagine himself as father any time soon.
Even imagining the sacrifices that you had to make was inconceivable.
You hadnât always been together either. His father had been away a lot with the rangers, leaving you at home with a baby to look after and a mountain of worries.
However, you had shown strength and determination. Managing to balance a demanding career with raising a new family mustnât have been easy, but you had done itâŚfor him.
All his friends thought his dad was the coolest â an FBI agent and an army veteran. Yet, you had always been the one he had looked up to.
He just didnât realise it until this moment.

⥠ââ playlist 001 ; los angeles, ca.
Ë ËË PART ONE of TWO. ËËË ââ  here is a compilation of some of yeoreumâs favorite songs from artists based in the united states of america ! she was born in south korea surrounded by her beloved family, but her mother & father had been living in los angeles for about five years before her birth, so almost immediately, they flew back home to raise her in the luminous sunshine. below the cut, youâll find what each of these nine songs specifically means to yeo. iâll try to keep it as short & sweet as possible !  X O X O .
+ 13 BEACHES, as performed by LANA DEL REY, from the album LUST FOR LIFE.
essentially, this is a song that reminds yeoreum of her entrance into fame, as well as her loss of all privacy as far as romance is concerned. truly, sheâs appreciative of all that sheâs able to do now that sheâs a p u b l i c f i g u r e, but she often wonders what her life would be like had she never attended that bc entertainment audition, or had she never accepted her role in WISH. never in a million years had she thought that the girl group she was selected for would be hailed as THE NATIONâS GIRL GROUP, so while it makes her happy, it also makes her feel blue. it also reminds her of the love she receives from her supporters. while she ADORES them so much, she often feels uncomfortable when they ( or paparazzi ) stalk her down to take photos, then leave without a word ; as if sheâs only a face for them to brag about across SOCIAL MEDIA instead of a human thatâs worthy of interaction.
+ DIE YOUNG, as performed by SYLVAN ESSO, from the album WHAT NOW.
to put it simply, a friend of hers from california showed her this tune the last time she went there to visit with her mother, but now every time that she listens to it, sheâs reminded of one particular boy thatâs entered her life more recently. ( kim namsoo. ) not only does it have an infectious beat, and a CATCHY CHORUS, but the lyrics convey that of a woman who wanted to live dangerously ; a woman who longed to be remembered as ONE OF THE GREATS ââ a rebel with no real cause. however, once she meets a specific person, she begins to question her supposed âplansâ to D I E Y O U N G because she wants to live and be with them until they both grow old and, ideally, die together.
+ LIABILITY, as performed by LORDE, from the album MELODRAMA.
the instant that she heard this song for the first time, she was INSTANTLY reminded of her ex-boyfriend, park jaewon. while the lyrics donât align perfectly with their relationship, especially how it ended, itâs enough for her to become emotional whenever it plays. it brings her back to that point in time where she was once again a single woman, and in turn, she had to LEARN TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HERSELF. however, in the end, sheâs grateful to have learned to be self-reliant, and gentle with herself, more than sheâs ever been. it also reminds her of her peculiar fears of being forgotten in the entertainment industry ; over being overshadowed by those that are gaining more attention, but only slightly.
+ RUN AWAY WITH ME, as performed by CARLY RAE JEPSEN, from the album EMOTION.
this is a song that she FELL IN LOVE WITH the instant that she heard it. itâs one that she takes so much inspiration from, and when the time comes that she makes her own solo release, sheâll definitely use this tune as a benchmark for how sheâd like her music to sound. additionally, itâs one that A L W A Y S makes her feel good, and reminds her of what it feels like to fall in love with a person for the first time ; how all you wanna do is RUN AWAY with them, and no matter where you end up, itâll be so worth it because youâre with them. itâs another bop that reminds of her the one and only: kim namsoo.
+ TELL ME YOU LOVE ME, as performed by DEMI LOVATO, from the album TMYLM.
honestly, this was a song that yeoreum only began to like because she LOVED to sing along to it ; the vocals quite complex and right in her pristine upper belt range. it was the perfect go â to after warming up her voice before a show, or during a lesson to strengthen her SET OF PIPES. thereâs nothing she loves more than a song sheâs able to fall into when singing it, and this just so happens to be one of those to her.
+ CRANES IN THE SKY, as performed by SOLANGE, from the album A SEAT AT THE TABLE.
once again, this is a song that reminds her A LOT of her breakup with park jaewon. during the aftermath of her decision to part ways from him, she kept herself busy with work and other things in order to keep from SENDING HIM A TEXT or GIVING HIM A CALL. feeling helplessly unloved, she decided it would be best to show herself some tlc by purchasing new clothes, changing her hair color, and starting with a C L E A NÂ S L A T E. however, due to not necessarily allowing herself to feel sad about it, she eventually broke down into tears, the only person there to truly console her was her best friend, chae hyunmi.Â
+ KISS IT BETTER, as performed by RIHANNA, from the album ANTI.
late one night, unable to sleep, yeoreum made her way over to one of bc entertainmentâs practice rooms ââ a lock passcode and key given to her for whenever she needed it. although sheâs not the best dancer in all of WISH, she still enjoys it, especially if itâs used to help exhaust her restlessness. after putting her apple music on SHUFFLE, this was the song that came up and she choreographed something to it. sheâs never showed this specific creation to A N Y O N E, but sheâs extremely proud of it as itâs the first bit of choreo that she came up with in a few hours that fit the content of the song really well.
+ GREEDY, as performed by ARIANA GRANDE, from the album DANGEROUS WOMAN.
much like the song âtell me you love me,â this is one that yeoreum really loves due to its VOCAL COMPLEXITY and sound. itâs one she sings to warm-up her voice, or one she does in lessons when she and her instructor feel like having some fun with key changes. it, again, challenges her upper belt range and head voice, especially when she adlibs bits and pieces to the melody-line. ariana is also one of her favorite artists, and this song happens to be one of the standouts, in her opinion, from her most recent album.
+ DREW BARRYMORE, as performed by SZA, from the album CTRL.
sza is one of yeoreumâs favorite new artists, and whenever she gets the chance, she shows her music to EVERYONE SHEâS CLOSE TO ; wanting to hear their opinions. this song, in particular, is one that she plays the most off of the album, but in general, each and every song on CTRL is one that never, ever skips over. the whole piece of work is one sheâs INCREDIBLY INSPIRED by, and she hopes that, whenever sheâs given the opportunity to have her own solo release with bc, she could make music as good as sza can.

Hey! Could I get a match-up please? (Danganronpa and Mob Psycho 100, if it's not too much work for you ;v;) I'm a short INTP/INFP girl(5' orz) and have dark brown eyes and black hair. I'm really bad at small talk or holding a conversation generally and I keep blabbering stupid stuff (like "Do you like sprinkles? I love sprinkles."). I'm also super lazy and unathletic and have like zero stamina OTL. I'm always daydreaming and get confused quite easily. [1/3]
I also get sick super easily which is really annoying and frustrating ;;A;;!! Iâm a sucker for cute and romantic things love wearing skirts and dresses
My ideal first date would be in a cafĂŠ talking about our interests and just enjoying each others company
Itâs definitely not a bother or too much work, anon! ^^ Thanks for the request and I hope youâll like your matches!
Your matches areâŚ:
Mob Psycho 100 - Hanazawa Teruki
Teru was that kid who was virtually unapproachable in the beginning. Once he got a change over, he seemed like someone who may be nice, but you decide to keep your distance from him anyway. When you get caught in a bad situation, Teru comes to diffuse it, using his experience as a thug to pull you away from the tension. You thank him and as youâre about to pull away, he recognizes you from his class. You two end up walking home in awkward silence, neither of you unsure how to start a conversation. Your awkward bursts help guide the topics that arise and you end up talking to him about subjects like literature to shopping to ice cream. He isnât as bad as a guy you thought he would be.
A day off leads you two to a popular ice cream parlor in town. This gives you the opportunity to witness Teruâs atrocious fashion sense yourself and after some ice cream, you take him to the mall to buy him new clothes. During the colder seasons, you make him a scarf and a pair of gloves since he neglected to buy those himself. Teru feels guilty for being unable to repay you and he hopes you accept payment in the form of affection. His interactions with the other girls grow less frequent and more sincere as he spends more time with you, realizing he can be himself when around you. This freedom allows him to be more affectionate and intimate for the person he truly loves.
In your downtime, the two of you can be seen out in the streets, walking around, people-watching, or sitting at a cafe and chatting for hours. Other times, youâll be at one anotherâs houses enjoying each otherâs company, watching movies or anime, or helping each other do homework. Teru loves it when you randomly give him a hug and he tries to do the same to you whenever possible. He also enjoys teasing you for your sense of direction and claims that you can never go anywhere without him since he canât bear the thought of you getting lost somewhere.
It doesnât take long for the rest of the school to label you two as an official, honest couple. There are always girls who approach you to try to scare you off, but Teru shuts them down quickly. His former followers help keep the peace among the jealous crowd while rooting for your happiness. Teru used to play around due to his popularity, but now that heâs found someone to love, he can only hope youâll forgive him for his past actions and help him become someone he strives to be.
HagakureYasuhiro (Danganronpa): With his cheery and laidbackpersonality, it wonât be difficult at all to befriend Hiro, even with your moreintroverted nature. The two of you will get along pretty well, actually, thoughHiro might come off as intimidating at first due to his height and appearance. The fact that youâre not good at holding conversations isnât much of a problem,at least not to Hiro, since he can get rather ridiculous himself when it comesto conversing. If you donât shy away and actually listen to him, heâll bereally happy about that. He wouldnât mind the things you tend to blabbereither. Though he might be confused at first, heâll likely roll along with you, much to the confusion of everyone else around you two. Hopefully you believehis fortune-telling is not the same as the occult, or you can prepare yourself tolistening to him explain why theyâre not similar in the slightest. However, ifyou do believe that, Hiro would be genuinely happy about that. He doesnât havemany friends (or any, if not counting Makoto and crew) so having someone thatwonât mind his eccentricity would be a highlight in his life.
Hiro isnât the most athletic person around either, and wouldmost likely enjoy just chilling around somewhere with you. Heâd be interestedin seeing the pieces of artwork youâve created, thinking itâs pretty cool ofyou. He isnât as artistic of course and will praise your skills since in hiseyes, your creations look amazing. Itâd catch Hiro off-guard if you were togive him something youâve knit, especially if you let him know that you like todo that for your family and friends. As much as Hiro enjoys hanging out withyou and talking about a random assortment of topics, he didnât think your friendshiphad gotten that deep, not that heâs complaining. Your hugs would also be asource of surprise for Hiro and the first time it happens, heâll stiffen at thecontact, not expecting something like this. Heâs never had many friends afterall, so receiving such affection is a bit foreign for him but after a few moretimes of this happening, he can say that he loves your hugs and will startreciprocating them. Your declarations of love will be processed in the sameway, though the first time heâll be more shocked than surprised and getextremely flustered. Of course, after learning that you mean as a friend, heâllcalm down a bit more but heâll still be quite nervous around you for a whileafterwards.
Hiro can be rather slow in the head so when he finds himselfnot feeling quite as happy as he normally feels when he hears you saying youlove him, he likely wonât be able to figure out that he has feelings for you. Hecanât tell you this since heâs afraidof hurting your feelings so heâll likely turn to Makoto, whoâll help him learnthat he likes you as more than a friend. Telling you this is the scary part, since what if you donât feel the same?? Heâll try doing some fortune-telling tosee the outcome, and when it comes out positive, he decides to take the plunge. As endearing as you becoming easily confused can be, he really hopes youâll beable to understand what he means and not take it to meaning that he loves youas a friend.
If you do accept his confession and feel the same way abouthim, Hiro would feel ecstatic but also become very flustered at the same time. What does he do now? Before he can actually think of anything, heâll justoutright asks you what youâd like to do on a date and at hearing what yourideal first date would be, takes you out for exactly that, after asking Hinafor good cafĂŠ recommendations. Hiro might be a bit more awkward since this is adate, not a regular outing with you. While nothing has changed, at the same time, everythingâs changed. Heâs yourboyfriend now! Heâll try to act more like a gentleman but he really isnât thatgreat at it. Hiro always thinks youâre adorable but especially today, heâllthink youâre simply gorgeous. Your clothing choices accentuates your cutenessand Hiro really canât help but stare. Heâll attempt to do romantic things foryou but he totally lacks knowledge in that department and once again, will turnto his friends for help though both Makoto and Hina arenât knowledgeable aboutthat either. Heâll bring you flowers sometimes and chocolates another, and evenoffer to tell you your fortune for free!
Because Hiro never really had friends, he treats those hecares for with great sincerity and that doubles for you. Your tendency to easilyget sick, as much as it frustrates you, would have Hiro worrying a lot for you.Heâll want to take care of you to the best of his ability and heâs alwaysfretting about if you have the medicine you need and if youâre getting enoughrest. Like you, Hiro can be easily scared too, especially if the topic ofghosts comes up. The perfect combination would then be the two of you in thedark, talking about ghosts. Heâd try to comfort you and find the light to turnback on, or another light source so youâd be able to sleep, but once the topicof ghosts comes up, heâll be freaking out rather badly and hurried change thetopic. This would be a rather interesting experience for you both to go throughat least, but Hiro would then adamantly tell you to never bring this up again.

Pebelle
Article by Lauren Weigle
Hair/Makeup by Claudia Haider Models: Mark Stephen Baignet/Tempo--Suzi Stanekova/Look--Ina Rot/Stella Models--Leonie BĂśhm Styling by Pebelle, Emma Bell, and Polona Dolzan
Pebelle brings the art of tie-dyeing back and takes it to a new level of amazing. Â Mixing old techniques with new ones, outfits are transformed into magical combinations with rad designs. Â The brand, along with its pieces, prides itself on being completely unique it its styles, incorporating aspects of nature and the world around us into each individual garment. Â Believing mass-production would take away from its appeal and itâs exclusivity of each clothingâs design, Pebelle sticks with its methodology, creating one piece at a time. Â
Tell me about Pebelleâs one-line âRe-think Tie Dye!â
Elle UK magazine used it to describe my work in one of the first features they did with my items. I loved this sentence right away as it describes the intent I had to take this old technique and blow new life into it.
I understand you use traditional tie dye techniques in addition to ones youâve developed in your garments. Â Can you talk about some of the ones youâve come up with or are they Top Secret?
Well, my techniques are top secret. Every pattern I create is unique, so there's no way to protect my work. So, I simply don't talk about what I am doing. The only thing I can tell is that I look at the dyeing process from the other way round and take a peek at the main principles of printing, then mix it all together in a non-scared manner. And, nothing is safe not to be used.
How did you first become interested in tie-dyeing?
I studied textile at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria and we had a dyeing workshop. We dyed everything we could think of: wood shavings, shuttlecocks, etc. One of us brought stockings along. The outcome was so exciting that we decided to do a whole weekend with just dyeing tights and stockings......that was 9 years ago and I resumed it.
So what made you decide to develop an entire label around this aesthetic?
It was love at first sight- no need to explain that further- everyone knows how that feels.
Tell me more about the anarchistic attitude that goes into Pebelle.
I do create this certain attitude with not following specific dyeing rules. My dye supplier that I'm always buying from and use as a consultant when it comes to technical questions, well his neck hair nearly stood up as I told him I am mixing my own colors. Â The colors I use come as pigments, and you can get every facet you can imagine... so mixing is something you just don't do. After years of dyeing I have come to realize that this anarchistic attitude of mixing the dyes creates a new look as well, as I get lots of kaleidoscopic effects.
Youâre creations are inspired by urban atmospheres, right? Â
I am inspired by urban atmospheres as much as by natural phenomena. Wherever I look when I leave the house, I see colors and patterns that impress me. For example, as I was in LA last summer, waiting for my friend to leave the house, I discovered these beautiful patterned leaves in his garden and the thought hit me to do a line with these. That's when the collection "A Forest" formed in my brain. The idea developed until I was at a point where I knew I wanted to do a camouflage for all kinds of surroundings. I started with the forest, we had a wonderful shooting in the summer and it worked out great; the model got totally lost in the under wood. The biggest compliment was as a butterfly came to sit down on one of my dyed silk scarves. And it had exactly the same color as the scarf! Right now I am in the process of creating the same for an urban surrounding. I do collect images of walls, redo them with tie dye on dresses, shirts, and will soon have a shooting with people wearing my items in front of these walls. Future prospects are to do it in the sea, in the sky, and so on.......a never ending story- maybe I'll make a book with it one day.
Any other sources of inspiration for your pieces?
Anything can be a source of inspiration, for me interaction with other people is a big field of inspiration, so I do love to sit in cafes and watch people pass by. Plus, I am a passionate reader; a lover of art; a fan of music, musicians, and music videos; and last but not least, I do enjoy films. All of it offers a variety of imprints they leave in my mind.
So, each piece is unique and created by hand?
Yes, totally.
What advantages and disadvantages go along with this?
A lot of my customers like the idea that the designer themself has had his/her hands on an item; a precious knowledge in days of huge factories filled with people working under slavery conditions. I think more and more people re-think their attitude towards shopping. In your previous question you have already mentioned another advantage, being unique. I wouldn't be able to create my own, typical patterns if I wouldn't do hand-work. I kept going through possibilities of re-creating items in large numbers, but came to realize that these patterns would get lost. Now every item is like a miniature-tableau, showing new details every time you look at it. This is why a tie-dye style pair of H&M leggings won't have the same effect on you. It's manufactured differently. Creating by hand can also turn into a disadvantage when it comes to produce big numbers. But to be honest, first of all I want my works to stay exclusive and secondly I'm sure I find a way (to say it with Joe Cocker's words: "With a little help from my friends") if the order to dress 10,000 people comes up.
Where can your latest creations be seen or purchased?
Right now my items can be bought and seen in various shops in Vienna, and exclusively in shops in Germany or Great Britain. In America you either have to head out to New Jersey, were Dahl Collection has a selection of Leggings or you just simply drop by my ETSY store. I do play with the idea of an own online shop but am not settled yet. There's a full stock list on my homepage, plus a link to all websites that show my items and even sell them. My items will be featured inside a fashion book that will be published worldwide in various languages in spring. Plus, I am fulfilling the dream of my life in June, which is a big blast for my pride and maybe for my career as well. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to talk about it right now, but it will be seen all over America.
So, what performing artists and designers have you collaborated with?
So far I have worked on creating textiles for British designer Emma Bell's SS10 collection and with the Austrian men's wear label SUPERATED on their SS11 Alleatory collection. I created a line of scarves and hosiery for men to go with their items. I did work with Fan Death, they used my hosiery for their European tour last year and collaborated on costumes with the finish Electro singer Kississings for her music video "Anything u want" or for the Los Angeles based band VUM, were I dressed Ballet dancers for a great video they shoot in the Joshua Tree desert- this video is not published yet but will soon be out. Other musicians that wear my hosiery are: Monique Maion from Brazil, Brilliant Pebbles, and Pure Magical Love from Chicago, US or Apache Beat, NY. Right now I do create T-Shirts for a hot and upcoming Indie Band "The Jamborinesâ. They are based in Switzerland but actually in possess of a lead singer from California, who lived in Seattle for a while, so Seattle is going to be their first stop when heading to the US in April watch out for them!
Any memorable moments to speak of?
I was very taken aback as I received the message that Whoopi Goldberg popped into a store in Vienna and bought one of my leggings. She had been in town for the Life Ball. Â And, I just recently sent a very important email, asking for my items to be used on-screen, somewhere huge. And a) there was an answer b) the answer was positive and c) they were so nice. This is going to be a big step for me. 2011 here we go!
So, whatâs a definite plus when it comes to collaborating with others?
The interaction, the bonding of two individual lines with their own attitude - it's like with a recipe: mix two really good ingredients together and the result with be brilliant. Collaborating always creates something totally new, something a label wouldn't have managed on its own. I am glad it happens a lot lately.
But, whatâs great about standing on your own and coming out with a garment or collection thatâs âall youâ?
It makes me proud. I live my dream. Pebelle is like a child for me. I care for her, am responsible for her, and try to bring her up. I am glad I haven't left it with the idea, but really created some attention.

CIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
*GLOMPS AND STAYS HUGGED TO YOUR HEAD*
CIRO BUDDY MY FRIEND, HI AGAIN!!!
Iâm sorry I didnât reply on Saturday night; the maccoonie had already gone to bed. And sunday was horrible regarding energy omg i was so low on it? And by the time I gathered some it was already almost 11 pm for you, so I felt a bit bad of how late it was and I thought maybe it was better if I replied today ahahha aah ;w; Sorry I took so long, buddy, and thank you for waiting so patiently!!
Edit: Zomg, I tried to have this done for yesterday and I FAILED OTLÂ So 1 extra day of thank you for waiting aah ;w;
But anyways
CIROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!( ´ ⽠` )
Iâm so, so, so happy to see you around once more, buddy!! Always a joy and a pleasure to read from you aklsjddjagsklgj THIS ASK IS AS LOVELY AS ANY OTHER FROM YOU AND THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY AAAAH
No worries about being negative, we all are every now and then!ă˝(ăťĎăť)ďž
Also note something important, buddy,Â
when I say weâre not allowed to be negative here, I donât mean we canât vent or talk about sad things or be sad.
Thatâs wonderful!! Because weâre feeling. And to drop by to vent or share something sad, even that is positive in its own way, because youâre trusting something personal with me, and trust is something so beautiful. And venting helps to clean the heart and help it, and it also allows me to give you a virtual hug, so wherever you see, even sharing something sad is positive in its own way!!
What I mean with not being allowed to be negative, itâs just about how we talk about ourselves, am I right?
You can be sad and struggling, but, at least here in raccâs lair, youâre not allowed to think youâre a bother, or not interesting, or anything bad. Each time weâre in raccâs lair, weâre all nice, and beautiful, and kind, and a good person that loves and is loved, and is worth it, and is valuable and valued.Â
At least I see you that way!! I think youâre wondeful and a good hooman and thatâs what matters, okay? Donât you go around thinking or saying otherwise, at least not here, aye? And if you canât help it, share it and Iâll convince you otherwise, youâll see! ( ´ â˝ ` )
But anyways, yeah! Thatâs what I meant!!
Iâm so sorry to hear that you werenât doing so great at the time you messaged me. (・â˘Ě︿â˘Ě・) Itâs so bad that Life Stuff happens sometimes, I wish I could do something to help. But Iâm happy that I managed to make you smile even if just a little!! :D
Thatâs like, mission accomplished, aah. Iâm happy to know you felt a little better after my reply, thatâs so nice to know! Thank you!! ي(ââżâ)Űś

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW
CIROOOOOOOOOOOO!! (/â˝ďźź*)
You donât need to make something for me to be kind to me, really!! As I said, itâs fine if you want to make something but donât you feel like itâs the only way to show me kindness or something, alrighty? Because the mere fact that you decidd to drop in and talk with me, thatâs super sweet and kind already!! Not everyday does anyone offer you their friendship, and each time we talk youâre SUPER kind and super sweet with me!!! Youâre ALREADY making me something kind, youâve been super nice with me, buddy!! ( ËęłâË )
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASPS
YOU WRITE AND DRAW!?!?!?!?!(ââ˝â)
CIRO THAT IS SUPER AMAZING AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH o(â§â˝âŚ)o
YOU WRITE AND DRAW OH MY, THAT IS SO AMAZING AND SO AWESOME, I BET THAT YOUR STUFF IS SUPER AMAZING AND THAT YOUâRE INCREDIBLE AT BOTH THINGS HOLY SHIT, YOU DRAW AND WRITE THAT IS SO EXCITING AKLSJDAKJDG AKLGDJSÂ
Honestly, Ciro, EVERYONE who has ever said âIâm not very confident about my art/writingâ and then show me are LIARS KLAJSKLDJGKDALFJALKJ
What I mean is, I bet youâre AMAZING and you just donât realize it!! Did you know itâs a real thing? That every creator wonât EVER be able to see the real size and beauty of their creation because you saw the whole process, so there where the public only sees the sculpture, you STILL see the block of stone badly shaped and not nearly half-done.Â
So your brain is âYo. We like. We need to finish it, ya know, it looks hideousâŚâ but the thing is ITâS ALREADY COMPLETE!!! You just donât see it because it takes so long to create something, your brain keeps the image of what it looked like as incomplete, so you literally canât see the real size and weight of the final result as the public does.Â
So just know that, dear Ciro!! I wonât tell you to go ahead and write or draw/paint anything if youâre not confident about it, but I do tell you that I know for sure youâre much, much better than you think you are. And I know that as a fact!!Â
Still, no pressures, dear Ciro. Art in any form is a very intimate and personal thing, and we all have struggled with showing it to others or not, and itâs okay if we donât! I wonât force or pressure you to do something youâre not comfortable with or still donât have the confidence for. Thatâs okay, buddy, you take your time to gather the courage and confidence that you need, however long it takes. No one is pressuring you, alrighty? ( ËęłâË )
I know youâre amazing, but I also understand if you donât have the confidence. There there, buddy, just keep making art and enjoying of it!! (ă_
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
ABSOLUTELY NO WORRIES ABOUT THE COFFEE, BUDDY!!Â
No worries there! I understand many of us around here are broke, we all have our reasons and such, and itâs very common nowadays, so no worries! That would really be a good tip if someone has any spare cents that they want to give me, but I wonât die without it, so thatâs okay! The money I get from there, Iâd spend in tiny personal likes and such because I myself donât have any income and Iâm too shy to ask from my parents lately hgnhnfghfg but thatâs okay!
As I said, I donât need it. So while it would be nice to receive a coffee, itâs really just an extra!! And not everyone has spare cents to give. I myself wish I could give ko-fis to all those artists and authors I like, but I canât, aaaw ;n;Â

Album Background:
BROCKHAMPTON formed in 2015, largely as a rebirth of a group known as ASF (AliveSinceForever). Over the course of the next two years, they dropped a few singles, eventually releasing a mixtape by the name of âALL AMERICAN TRASHâ in the summer of 2016. That winter, frontman of the group Kevin Abstract released his sophomore album âAmerican Boyfriendâ, touring for the album and earning a following and notoriety for the larger group. Then, in the spring of 2017, the group returned with the first single from SATURATION, âFACEâ. In the space of around a month, they reportedly created around 40 songs for their sophomore mixtape, which evolved into their debut album. Of those 40 songs, 14 made the cut, in addition to 3 skits, creating a 17 track album. With each single leading up to the album, they steadily built more and more hype, with one of the final songs to release before the project, âBOYSâ premiering on Beats1 Radio on Apple Music. The groupâs chemistry and their unique music videos quickly found a larger and larger audience, highlighting the talents of a diverse group of members, including rappers, singers, directors, visual artists, and producers. All members of the group (excluding singer Bearface who was in the UK until the day of the album's release) lived together in a house in Van Nuys, California for the creation of the album.
Review
When reading an album of the year writeup for BROCKHAMPTONâs debut album, SATURATION, given the state of this corner of the internet, most people would expect the reviewer to try as hard as possible to refute criticism of the music, and to argue that the group is something unique and special. The music isnât perfect, but they are doing something special. There are valid criticisms: while rapper Dom McLennon impresses with his technical ability the content of his verses can at times be entirely abstract and unrelated to the song, and Merlyn Wood, while fun and energetic, is justly divisive in the vocal performances and style he can bring to a track. The oft repeated lines of âKevin always raps about being gayâ or âAmeer always raps about dealingâ (and just where will Domâs heart be put next?) while true, arenât necessarily bad things, and the members of the group have responded within their own music in an adequate manner. This album isnât necessarily even the best album of the year. An argument could be made that the sequel, SATURATION II is better, as well as projects such as who told you to thinkâ?â?â!â!â?â!â?â!â?â! by Milo or 4:44 by Jay-Z. An album such as 4:44 will invariably go down in hip hopâs canon as a classic, a step in the right direction for the craft. So, given all of this, declaring SATURATION to be album of the year seems confusing.
A project has to be the most enjoyable music released within a year for it to be the defining album of that year. Let it not be taken, however, that this is saying that BROCKHAMPTON has made a genre-defining album: theyâre simply too obscure at this point for that. But at a critical level, SATURATION does serve as an album that embodies the state of Hip-Hop in 2017. In fact, the album at times reads as a revue of hip-hop, opening up with a stretch of songs that switches from gritty and aggressive to smooth and danceable.
BROCKHAMPTON are something special. Not because they formed over the internet: of course groups like Odd Future have already done that more famously. While Odd Future tapped into this punk destructive energy that allowed them to set a fire with the youth of America, BROCKHAMPTON are tapping into a part of the genre often critically panned: pop rap. What BROCKHAMPTON is focused on is straddling a particular line: that between the poppy rap tunes of artists in the ilk of Recovery-era Eminem, and the aggressive offputting experimental hip hop of such groups as Death Grips. These aforementioned acts are direct influences on members of the group, as are such performers as M.I.A., Prince, Master P, Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Kanye, and the list goes on. These artists styles would seem to clash with each other and BROCKHAMPTON exists on that very point of conflict. Their music serves as an answer to the question of being both accessible and off putting, and they manage those two lanes beautifully.
BROCKHAMPTON crafts tunes that are both poppy and experimental. Even if your tastes are weirder than the music that the group produces, itâs disingenuous to suggest that their music isnât weird to your average listener. Switching from distorted bass and manic rapping to a soft acoustic guitar and crooning simply (a la âBUMPâ) isnât something in a lot of rap that many people find accessible. People canât be blamed for finding highly experimental music off putting, but it is a shame that people donât listen to it because of that unease that it creates. SATURATION exists as an inbetween point: âFAKEâ has quickly become a favourite for many from the project. And when you think about it, that is strange. The verses are pitch shifted, the beat is wonky (thriving from the same Pharrell influence that most of their production does), and the subject matter is deliberately off putting. But the hook is undeniably catchy. Tracks like âFAKEâ are easy to listen to and yet have weirder depths to them.
âHEATâ is perhaps the best example of this. âHEATâ isnât a purely political song. For many of the members itâs more personal than that, with rapper Matt Champion talking about his experience being cheated on, or Dom McLennon talking about his feeling unable to be around other people. But there certainly is a political bite to it: not too heavy handed at all, but there. The messages and themes in the song become available to anybody who wants to find them: a classic anti-cop rap sentiment, the politics of drug dealing, a sense of discontentment with the state of the world. Theyâre setting up a world for the viewer that while ultimately escapist, does remind the listener of the realities back home.
When BROCKHAMPTON keeps on rapping about how different they are, how special their music is, it can seem like the yuppie protagonists of a blockbuster film at times: i.e that these are people who exist in this idealised world that just isnât real. Perfectly relatable, both broke and receiving riches, self-loathing and cocky, a nonexistent contradiction. But there is always that bite of home: the message that brings the group back to where they really are. While Ameer Vann can rap about dealing and make it sound cool, this showmanship also functions as an exploration of his real past. While so much of the album is concerned with dreaming of them in the spotlight, future kings of music, we are reminded every now and then of what theyâre running away from, whether it be disappointed parents or the general weight of the world. Thereâs a sad beauty in their flights of fancy, and it comes across elegantly in their music.
You donât have to like BROCKHAMPTONâs music to appreciate them, and they should be appreciated for what theyâre doing. Artists shouldnât have to live in a world in which they have a choice between making a living or making art. The viewer shouldnât have to choose between self-obsessed works of auteurs and worldly but ultimately milquetoast mainstream pieces. Many shy away from this altogether: they just pick a side and theyâre done with it: theyâll make their money and not care what the critics say, or theyâll make their original ideas flourish and not care about the money. Sometimes, creative people strike on something so good that people listen to it and support them anyways. The fact that BROCKHAMPTON are trying to create a roadmap to striking that gold, and are attempting to remove the fog of mystery that lies over the line between experimental and popular is commendable. Theyâre not there yet, but theyâre certainly on to something. SATURATION is the starting point for it all.
Favorite Lyrics
âIâve got pipe dreams of crack rocks and stripper polesâ
âHEATâ
âI got a dream I'm willing to die for
I got a team I'll commit a crime for
Got some dead homies I ain't get to cry for
'Cause I'm working for my freedom, while the world cry war
Cry wolf when the shepherd finds a way to strike gold
'Cause the stocks gon' crash and the dollar gon' fold
You don't know that the poor eat the rich when there's no profit
They gave you the floor but you brought up the wrong topicâ
âCASHâ
âWas I more than it's worth
Or will you see my name and I'll fade?
Pitch my camp in your mind
Sat by the fire, behind your eyes
And I'll look through them just once or twice
But I might see something I don't like
Like your hands in his shirt
Entwined in cotton, his loving smirkâ
âWASTEâ
Discussion Questions
BROCKHAMPTONâs career is on an upwards trajectory in terms of popularity, and yet thereâs still a raging debate over how relevant they truly are. At what point is an artist no longer a ânobodyâ? At what point is an artist ârelevantâ? Is BROCKHAMPTON relevant?
BROCKHAMPTON insist that they are not a rap group but in fact a âboy bandâ. What do you think of this? Do you agree with this statement? Why do you think they claim this?
Once the SATURATION trilogy ends, what direction should BROCKHAMPTON go next (who knows what's happening with that SATURATION III announcement)?
Thanks for reading!
