Loki: god of foreshadowing
Bold can be skipped if you know me from my main since you likely already know this: My mom and I are both witches. We work with Loki, amongst other deities, and most of our deities prefer what I call "direct communication." AKA we get thoughts that aren't our own, words, images, that sort of thing, and we know it's them. This is important context.
So, Loki has been emphasizing a theme of shapeshifting in my + my mother's life lately. Like, we'll be talking about something, and whenever they can one of us will get this quiet "shapeshiftiiiiiiiing" stage whisper in our heads. Sometimes we'll both pick it up, but usually it's whoever it's relevant to most at the moment.
The thing about this is... uh... we figured out why.
Long story short, turns out my mom is otherkin too. She's a polymorph, but specifically a gryphon. (Not sure if she's more of a gryphon who shapeshifts, or a polymorph who's got a few favorite forms and one of them is a gryphon. I keep forgetting to clarify.)
But wait, there's more! /ref I don't have a single draconic form. In fact, whereas I thought I had one and then maybe two (one for land and one for the ocean) I... probably basically had a bunch of traits to pick and choose from as I so pleased. Mix and match. Also, mimicry. Like a cuddlefish or octopus. The reason that I have (privately, I haven't posted about it) been struggling to figure out what my draconic form looked like is because... well, there's no one answer. It looked like whatever the fuck I wanted it to look like.
So yeah. UPG, Loki is now the god of foreshadowing to me.

Origin of My Fantasy World Creation
Thought I should Copy+Paste this from the Discord I’m in onto here since I want to post more about Fernweh on here but lack the know-how to do it without pictures and anything really solid.
So I’ve had this fantasy world since 7th grade, starting as an assignment by the teacher to make a a map that included a list of geological features and at least one civilization. I checked everything off the list, and the Civilization was of sapient, elemental cats, very similar to “Warriors Cats” but without the magic. The gods of the lands were a variety of dragons. The elements were of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. Each elemental cat, named “licheven,” lived in their respective element society, with a fifth separate one being of Electricity because they just thought they were special. The dragon gods were just the western body types at first based on the ‘dragon creation’ thing from “Battle of Giants: Dragons.” The relationship between the gods and cats were of loyal worshippers that relied on each other, needing the other to survive.
The first change came with the gods, going from all being western to: Earth= Drake, Wind= Amphithere, Fire= Dragon, and Water= Lóng. Then eventually came additional gods of: Electricity= Wyvern, Lava= Lindwyrm, Ice= Knucker, and Nature= Dino-shaped.
Change cane to the Civilization from all being elemental cats to elemental chimeric cats: Earth= Saber cats, Wind= Ferrets and kin, Fire= Big Cats, and Water= Small Cats. That eventually changed to elemental chimeric creatures: Earth= Snake-bugs, Wind= Bird-rodents, Fire= Ungulate-cats, and Water= Fish-dogs.
I reeeaaally liked, and still like, these ideas, very unique, but I found some issues: Firstly, I was quickly running out of animal types to base the fantasy wild animals on. Secondly, I’m very picky with how I like dragons portrayed: I’m not a fans of dragons as these rare creatures of myth, but also not as a common people with plentiful civilizations. Thirdly, I wanted the sapient/“human” civilizations to be less weird and fantastical and more “normal” in comparison to the wildlife so as to make the wildlife give off that feeling of weird and fantastical, very much like in fantasy media you have normal humans and the fantasy wild. What I had was fantasy “humans” and fantasy wilds, which just became normal “humans” and normals wilds (“When everyone’s ‘super,’ no one will be [‘super’]” - Syndrome, “Incredibles”) which is not the feeling I wanted.
I realized I wanted to use/reference a lot of actual mythical creatures, so I started figuring out what humanoid-animal creatures I wanted to use for the Civilizations, each with an elemental theme. This, eventually, came to be as: Earth= Minotaurs, Wind= Sirens, Fire= Sphinxes, and Water= Merfolk, and Electricity= Harpies, Lava/Metal= Kaftars, Ice= Selkies, and Nature= Fauns. I also wanted Nagas, but couldn’t figure out where to put them at this time. Additionally, at some point, I was really getting interested in Chinese Dragons/Lóngs, probably because of their more magical aura in comparison to their Occidental counterparts, and their respective culture’s elemental grouping: Water, Metal, Earth, Wood, and Fire. I HEAVILY researched them like an FBI agent, and I finally had the “Yesss!” moment. Now the question is: How do you combine the Greek Elements with the Chinese Elements? Easy. You do the Greek ones when referring to the actual, physical elements themselves, and the Chinese ones when referencing their “vibe” or “energy,” which is exactly the difference between the two (the Chinese elements are only aspects of the entire Wuxing philosophy, which includes many other aspects, including mental states, senses, cardinal directions, geography, patterns, animals, etc).
The last change, which is currently going on, is straying away from the actual mythical creatures to something I make myself. For example, instead of a “Sphinx,” it would be, “Panthera People” in their language, or instead of “Faun,” it would be, “Goat Folk,” in their language. Same thing with “Unicorns,” “Ruhks,” “Phoenixes,” “Kitsunes,” etc.
Now, for the dragon gods (the Drakones), they are Oriental based. For other dragons, like the Occidental dragons, knuckers, wyverns, lindwyrms, etc they would be wild or domestic animals with varying rarities and powers. I also plan on putting the previous versions of the Civilizations back into the world, but their roles would be different.
Currently I have a bunch of pieces and parts of varying info about the world, but I need history to tie everything together, and I have been creating, scrapping, and re-creating the creation of the world for months now and I’m barely getting anything that feels “right.” I know how things would play out VERY generally, but the details are where I’m struggling (“How did Day/Night come to be?” “How are the mountains made?” “Who made the climates?” etc). However, I want all of it to be similar to reality but with a magical twist. For example: We have the Solar System. We know how it was made. The sun came first, then the planets came from space stuff orbiting and shaping around it. Fernweh also has a Solar System (may call it something different). The Great Celestial Dualities (yin and yang), who are always born together from the Empyrean (the greater nebula they live within) with the existence to create. They create the Five Planets, each for every “state of existence” (wuxing): Water, Metal, Earth, Wood, and Fire. The Yang creates Sol (the sun) to, “cast heavenly light upon the System, making it function.” Everything needs to be refined to be the best it is, so the Dualities are always working together to refine their celestial bodies, and all the waste was taken out and placed on the side. This “trash ball” became the planet “Fernweh.” Because all the “elements” were present in this planet and left alone to balance itself out naturally, it eventually sprouted life, which is another numerous step process that I am trying to figure out, starting with the first three Predominant Sovereigns of Sky, Earth, and Ocean.
I am absorbing every bit of lore of interesting myths in reality, fictional lore in media, and real cultural philosophies in fictional media (*cough*FromSoftware*cough*).
And that’s how I’m starting this. I have been listening to Joel Vinesauce playing Buckshot Roulette this entire time instead of taking a shower and playing Elden Ring.

This ask is based on art made by @jimlikesdrawing of a Cybertronian Luffy and Zoro.
What if during the Corazon in TFP AU, an Artifact of the Primes was discovered that could turn humans into Cybertronians and a visiting Luffy, or Zoro, or any other person from the OP world was affected by it?
How much chaos is caused to Team Prime because of that?
The art in question as more folks should see it: Luffy and Zoro.
If anyone is getting affected by a Cybertronian Relic, then it's most likely Corazón. This man is accident prone and enough awareness dip for it to happen. Now how it will go.
The item was found in the ruins of an ancient town. It resembles metal band with very faded Cybertronian text. Corazón, Optimus and Arcee were on this mission. Things been fine for the most part until they found the artifact. It went to hell as some Vehicons showed up alongside Megatron.
You know that scene from OG Ben 10 where Ben got the watch? The scuffle had the artifact, Onyx Prime's Brand of Kin, latch onto Corazón's throat instead the wrist. It activates and the type of bot he became was unexpected.
A Predacon. One's whose beast mode resembles an amphithere, a type of legless dragon. Corazón obviously flipped out and Megatron dips as he rather not deal with that at the moment. It was super awkward when the three came back.
One: Shockwave hasn't shown up at this point thus no Predacons. Two: A human becoming a Cybertronian is very very very massive discovery. Three: It's fucking Corazón. The accident prone man that already makes a large mess being his normal self.
Corazón's bot mode is 40 ft and Beast mode is 52 ft. He resembles himself but the feathery mantle has spread further out. Black metallic yet surprising soft feathers cover his upper arms, frames his sides, waist, and lower body. Beast mode resembles the Quezalcoatlus type of amphithere with a blend of black, pink and soft white. His crown being blonde since it's his 'hair'.
The Brand of Kin turns Non-Cybertronians into a type that matches who they are. Thus Corazón came a Predacon as his personality matches how legless dragons are depicted. Kind yet powerful guardians who wish to help and guide others.
Anyone the device was damaged thanks to the scuffle so Corazón couldn't take it off for quite awhile. Until then, he took this as an opportunity to understand his Cybertronian companions better. Also the blonde did tell the kids what Energon tasted like.
Corazón: It tastes sweet and tangy. Like honey covered fruit.
Miko: So it's basically tastes like fruit juice? Huh.
Corazón does take advantage of his new form to hug the bots. They all need it and he can fully wrap his arms around them now! Ratchet begrudgingly accepts his fate.
If Miko has the Apex Armor then the Brand of Kin is Corazón's personal relic. He only uses if needed whether the situation calls for it, hugs included. Should Corazón have it during Shadow Siege...
Law is probably gonna get bowled over by a very big robot dragon who wants to smother his long lost chick with love.

🗣️🐯✨💚🤝
🗣: Does anyone know you are otherkin? Friends, family, etc? If so, how did you tell them?
I have a really close IRL dragon/wolfkin friend who actually helped inspire my own awakening! Other than that, I don't really feel the need to tell anyone in my life yknow? It's not out of shame or fear of rejection, it's just it seems like too much work to explain what otherkin is to my IRLs rather than just saying "I have a hyperfixation on / a strong spiritual connection to dragons" -both of which I tell people all the time. However, I've been debating weather or not to tell my boyfriend (who I suspect has some form of canine nonhumanity already)
🐯: Do you wish you were your kintype? Why or why not?
Ooooh this is a tricky one- yes and no. I definitely would LOVE to physically be a dragon, being able to fly, to wag my tail, to walk on all fours, to growl and roar- but I also *really love* my human life, and I don't think I would be able to just give it up to go live in the woods again. I have a ton of really close friends, I love all my hobbies, and of course I don't know if I could live without houses, cooked food, and electricity. If I could somehow shape-change I would in a heartbeat, but if it was permanent I'd probably say no.
✨: What are some things that validate you?
There's of course the obvious ones like being called "creature", "thing", or "it", as well as people in my life associating me with dragons by sending me memes or buying me dragon-related things for my bday/Christmas, but also pretty much anything that makes me step back and think "yeah, I'm just a funky lil wild animal". For me, that's identifying and eating wild plants, going fishing, completing a difficult hike, and taking the time to step back and just enjoy the feeling of the cool air in my lungs- away from the bustle of human life. Pretty much surrounding myself with and embodying anything draconic validates the hell out of me 😎
💚: What’s your favorite thing about your kintype? (The species, creature, etc)
Again, this is a tricky one! I definitely think just the sheer amount of folklore, both traditional and modern, that surround draconinity! I'm a pretty traditional European dragon, but there's so many different variations out there! Lungs and lindwurms and wyverns and cockatrices and hydras and amphithere and thousands of others! There's so many different stories to tell, and even more that haven't been told yet! My favorite thing is when I find some old myth or cultural tradition surrounding dragons that I haven't heard about yet, and then getting to spend the next few days learning everything there is to know about it.
🤝: When did you first hear about the kin community?
Honestly, I'm not really sure? I kinda just absorbed it through internet-cultural osmosis, so there was never really a distinct moment of discovery. Similarly, I didn't really have an "awakening" that most people have, when I found out what otherkin was I pretty much just said "oh so that's the word for how I feel, pretty cool" and moved on with my day

I have seen that there are other races like the dwarves and the elves - I forgot how you call them in your world, sorry - does that mean that there are dragons and others of their kin in the places where these races live? If so, in the next books will you explain how the connection and relationship of dragons and species are? And, finally, are there dragons with two pairs of *wings* and hidra-like dragons? *Beyond the bat-like wings of the red dragons, of course.
Yep! You’re going to learn a whole lot more lore about the land in DW. Dragonkin are made up of: dragons, wyverns, drakes, wyrms, and amphithere. The general info for them is online but I did change and add some things to fit the RoA world.

Mexican Amphithere
Tumblr media
Name: Mexican Amphithere, Draco americanus mex
Type: Fictional
Region: England
Description: A feathered serpent, usually green, with
Myth: N/A
Facts:
Mexican Amphitheres are larged feathered serpents with two wings and no legs.
They can be 45 ft in length, and 5 to 10 ft high.
They are primarily green, though can also have shades of blue, purple, and gold.
Amphitheres can breathe fire, using the same mechanism through which other dragons in the Dragonology universe breathe it, by igniting their venom with flint and steel.
Despite this, Amphitheres usually kill via constriction.
Skeletal studies show that Amphitheres have vestigial lengs.
It is possible that the Amphithere and the phoenix are closely related. The reconstruction of what the lost foot of an Amphithere may have looked like resembles that of a dromeosaur, and Archaeopteryx is given as the ancestor of the Phoenix. It is possible that Archaeopteryx is the ancestor to both the Phoenix and the Amphithere.
The Amphithere can live to be 250 years old.
The eggs of Mexican Amphitheres are hard and stone-like, yet are buoyant and able to float. They are brown with orange markings, and are laid three to a clutch. When they hatch, it takes them three years for their wings to grow in.
The eggs of Moth Dragons, or American Amphitheres, are bright green with paler markings, and are pointed in shape. They give off a faint glow, allowing their parents to find them. Unlike their Mexican kin, their hatchlings are winged from birth, but poor fliers.
Amphithere nests can be used as rafts.
Their tongues can be six feet in length, and wrap around.
They tend to prey on large animals such as llamas.
There are two other species of Amphitheres, the American Amphithere (also called the Moth Dragon) and the Incagnito. All three are subspecies of Draco americanus.
Despite what the Dragonology books state, Amphitheres were not American dragons. They are from European Heraldry.
While the Mexican Amphithere is based off Quetzalcoatl, the deity is not actually winged in a good deal of his art (or none, near as I can tell).

Higher Beings Preview
So, in addition to the mortal Hetrans, there are other, supernatural creatures that go under a super-category called, "Higher Beings." Their label comes from the fact that they are believed to live a more complex life within nature, for better or for worse, and are usually supernaturally powerful. Someone can be born a Higher Being, or be created.
Here's the list:
• The Formless Ones (formless forces of the Universe)
• The Drakones (the lóng gods)
• The Ancient Peoples (Currently contains the Serpent Folk (based on Nagas) and their special kin, the Grande Serpents (based on legendary and giant snakes) and Noble Serpents (basilisks))
• Demons (expanded further below)
• Divums (expanded further below)
• Fox Spirits (based on Hulijing/Kitsune)
• Shas (based on the Set animals and Sutekh himself from Ancient Egypt)
• Vishaps (based on sea dragons of myth)
Possible other Higher Beings are:
• Wivers (wyverns)
• The Twinned Foreigners
Divums and Demons
Divine Creatures are benevolent spirits, collectively called "divums:"
• Blessed Spirits (People that have ascended through supernatural means, whether it be through gods or personal willpower)
• Drakonic Horses (based on the Longma)
• Listening Beasts (based on the Diting)
• Medley Singers (based on the Luanniao)

• Scaled Specters (based on aosagibi)
• Serpent Birds (based on Quetzalcoatlus and amphitheres)
• Variegate Hound (based on Theows and reindeer)
• Warding Panther (based on the Pixiu)
There will be more added in the future...
Demonic Creatures are malicious spirits, collectively called "demons:"
• Accursed Spirits (fallen Blessed Spirits)
• The Corrupted Eight Principles (corrupted Bagua elements in the wild. Totally not a Jackie Chan Adventures reference)
• The Four Perils/Evils
• King of the Damned (the demon king)
• Vampires
• Winteko, and the Cannibals it spawns
There will be more added in the Future...
