I think its time for someone to suggest a Amphibiababies sub-AU where the girls end up in Newtopia instead of Wartwood and they grow up as Evil King's pawns until one day Anne discovers the Plantars and starts to ruin everything in Andrias' plan. And some swords and minor explosions because the girls figth between them, obviously

I did consider Sasha arriving while Grime was in his gladiator days!! The thing is that it doesn't add much with the timeline and I kinda feel like Sasha hasn't even been born yet in this time!! I really love the idea though, so this can be an AU of its own!! Call it an Amphibi-Babies Sub-AU if you will, with time travel and junk (reminds me of GF's Timestuck AU). That would mean a young Hopediah Plantar finding Anne but no Lady Olivia to look after Marcy I suppose.

I don't think Grime keeps close contact with his sister. They gave me the impression of despite being siblings, that was it. They grew up together and trained together but aren't really That Close to inform one another of personal things.

Eventually, Grampa Grime does get attached, and without him really realising it, but he doesn't have to? I like that it stays as an unspoken thing between him and Sasha as she grows up, as much as I want to be self indulgent with this there's gonna be a divide with close to canon and my own divergence haha..

As for a fic, I don't plan on doing anything anytime soon. I consider myself an average writer with commitment issues. You're free and welcomed to do so though!! I'd probably die and be brought back to life if it comes to exist, just be sure to tell me!!

For your Amphibi-Babies au i would think baby sasha would come into grime's care during his time as a gladiator and upon figuring she's a baby he reluctantly decide take her in initially planning to an orphanage or something along those lines eventuality however he grew attached and started to see like the daughter he never knew he wanted and when he becomes a captain of the toad army he would assign percy and Braddock as sasha's caretakers for when grime is busy (not before theatening them like the overprotective father he is of course) now the only question would be what would sasha's relationship with her aunt beatrix be like

Have you ever thought about making a Shuffle AU on Amphibibabies, based on the AU with the same name by @twixstari? Now Sasha was adopted by the Plantars, Marcy by the toads, and Anne by the Newts. It would be interesting to see their dynamics.

I imagine Sasha is going to be like Hop Pop's rebellious teen granddaughter and has the typical sibling rivarly with Sprig, though I imagine she would get along well with Polly though.

I think Marcy and Grime' dynamic would be akin to Kratos and Artreus' relationship from GOW 2018. Marcy is a smart, resourceful, and cheerful daughter while Grime is a grumpy warrior dad who doesn't really connect with her which leaves their relationship strained but they really do care for each other.

Andrias, Olivia, and Yunnan all raised Anne which formed her character. Andrias got her to know when to have fun and let loose, Olivia taught her to be responsible, and Yunnan taught her how to fight and try to achieve more. All this made Anne the way she is today and incredibly loyal to the kingdom.

I haven't had the time or brain capacity to check out the Shuffle AU but based on what you've proposed, works really well for me!

Sasha is absolutely that rebel kid and she would without a doubt bully (affectionate) her little brother but get along well with Polly

if Grime was the one to raise Marcy, she'd be called Mercy, but Percy & Braddock are Sasha’s parents in AU canon, so in the end it’s up to you with how she’d be raised, based on the living conditions I might have to look into the AU to get an idea on how Marcy thrives, since it’s more likely she gets homeschooled at Toad Tower, or you guys can just do that for me lmao

our dear Princess Anne Annastasia??? would have a title like “The Heart Of Newtopia” and she might actually be aware of her dad’s plans OR be under the impression that what he’s doing are with good intentions, her relationship with Lady Olivia gives me the vibe that it’s similar to canAnne and Mrs Boonchuy

I'll call this the Young Calamity Shuffle AU, and to pair off with what's a very thought-out portray of characters by yourself that I very much admire, we can't forget other possibilities such as @amphibiasideblog 's Place Swap AU for example, which means we’ll have Marcy "Marshy" Plantar, Lieutenant Anne, and Princess Sasha Leviathan (I'm still figuring out possible names so I'm always open to suggestions)

Idea for a Amphibibabies AU variation: What if the Plantars adopted all three girls?

Instead of a basket full of groceries, Mrs Plantar brings home 3 little fleshy bobble-headed smooth skinned infants. Naturally, Mr Plantar voiced his concerns over the fact that perhaps they weren't abandoned, but the mother is a vicious predator that was only away for hunting. That can't be however because the reason she found them were the cries she heard and she just couldn't stand to leave them in the woods like that.

Hop Pop would of course tell Mrs Plantar to take them back where she found them but she'd refuse. She's already fallen in love (pheromones?).

Eventually they settle with adopting all 3 for the sake of this AU and the Plantar family expands with Anne, Sasha & Marcy Plantar!

I'm not sure if Mr & Mrs Plantar would want anymore kids? There's the possibility of Sprig & Polly not existing but that's up to you. Me? I'm not sure, maybe I'd keep them? How does that go financially though? Poor Hop Pop.

I'd love to explore this concept more, like how Marcy & Maddie are gonna be best fronds or how Sasha would fit in (maybe she gravitates towards Mayor Toadstool & Toadie).

Alternatively, an AU that branches off of this one would mean other frog families can adopt their own human.

I'd think it would be fitting for Chef Flour to adopt Marcy, and Felicia can adopt Sasha (unless there are better options?). We'd have Anne Plantar, Marcy Flour & Sasha Sundew.

This one can be called the Frog Family AU, and if you want, you can have the honours of naming the AU above!!

So Grime is Sasha's granpop. Was she actually raised by Grime's son/daughter, or was he just too old to be called dad when he got her? If its the latter, did he raise her in Toad Tower or take a leave of absence to raise her elsewhere for a bit?

Grime is Sasha's honourary grampapa. It was Percy who found Sasha just off of the perimeters of Toad Tower.

Percy and Braddock are her parents!

Sasha was raised in Toad Tower by technically everyone, so all the soldiers there are family to her. It takes a village!!

Amphibi-Babies canon aside, I like the idea of old Grime just leaving for 13 years to go raise a little monster as his own. It has fluff & Grimepapa potential (my kind of AU). That's a sub-AU now. You can have the honours of naming it if you want! or we can just go with Grimepapa AU lmao

So why exactly do the girls have to lose all of their memories if they were to be sent back to Earth? I can’t quite find your first post on this rn, but with you mentioning them having to relearn everything they know, that kind of sounds like they would return to Earth the same age they were after growing in Amphibia, and it just feels depressing IMO if they lost EVERYTHING from after when they first woke up in Amphibia as babies. Of course, I doubt they aren’t literally regressed back to so young a mental age, but while I get that it would be difficult to handle them running around on Earth with heads full of Amphibia memories and the box seemingly not active anymore, it’s just sad that they wouldn’t be able to remember any of their families or friends or experiences.

Now, if you mean that they lose all the memories AND the years of aging they had in Amphibia if they were to return, then I just want to ask: why? Wouldn’t that kind of mean that their lives in Amphibia basically more or less have no bearing whatsoever on the girls growing up again on Earth? Idk, it just feels like a bit of a waste of a fine AU if that’s the way things end up and there’s no way of them ever regaining those memories in some way/maybe even finding a way to bridge the two worlds together at the very least, as while I’m certain their original human parents would be found fairly quickly and that they would be brought back to their homes on Earth after a few days or so in the orphanage, I’m not entirely sure how much time has passed or how much the girls’ parents’ parenting style has changed from canon so the girls don’t just wind up in the same toxic relationship they would have had, you know?

I apologize for my lack of wording and for not clarifying what I meant by this.

If they return to Earth as 13 year olds (or whenever they decide to leave Amphibia), assuming they're children then eventually they'd be put into an orphanage or be reported as the children that went missing over 10 years ago as infants. Since Anne, Sasha & Marcy have never actually lived on Earth, they'll have to learn what it means to be "human" and be part of society and all that jazz.

They don't loose their memories. They don't forget Amphibia.

They miss home, and I think they'd be miserable on Earth.

I'd like to imagine Aunt Bea spoils Sasha? In a bad influence sort of way whereas Grime actually wants to be a good Soft Papa™ and not enroll his baby girl to go through the same amount of intense and hardcore training like he did as a tadpole. Papa Grime wouldn't have told Beatrix about Sasha but if she did found out she'd poke fun and bully him for it.

Life is good for him leaving Newtopia as he's on his way to become a Toad Lord/Captain of the Toad Army garrison at Toad Tower. Like you said; Percy & Braddock are forced to babysit our dear Sasha while she gets into all sorts of troubles and making friends.

This really is leading up to the Overprotective Dad trope for Grime. It can be?? If you want??? I'm sure he trusts her to handle a sword.

If we follow a canon timeline for events we'd have the show take place when they're adults (considering the fact we want Sprig & Polly to be present, which means Cool Aunt Anne!!).

Oh you know it. Mostly Mama Boonchuy.

Mrs Boonchuy is resourceful so whether or not she was accepted into amphibian society, she was getting by herself just fine (not that she doesn't struggle at all). She went camping with her husband before so this was just a decade plus year long version of that.

Additionally, her cooking is the best and she makes the most out of her environment. She probably picked up a cookbook during her travels, or wrote down her own in a journal. There were a lot of failures & experiments.

She is always thinking about the girls.

Her name is either Kosum or Pakpao. Not really a headcanon but I just wanna make these known and have characters call her something other than Mrs Boonchuy all the time. I'm leaning towards Kosum but Pakpao had a pretty badass meaning.

Sprig's distrust towards Marcy in canon is shifted toward Mrs Boonchuy, Hop Pop & Polly are reasonably wary of her. This means they trust Marcy a bit more easier, though Anne & Sprig are more reserved.

Anne & Sprig have mixed feelings about Mrs Boonchuy, they learn to trust her over time.

Hop Pop is the first to really get close to Mrs Boonchuy.

After everything Anne tells her about Sasha, Mrs Boonchuy was under the impression of a bad household situation and that none of that was actually Sasha's doing. Her concerns never rest.

Mrs Boonchuy adopts Sprig & Polly, Hop Pop adopts Mrs Boonchuy.

Marcy fell in love with Mrs Boonchuy the moment they met just as she did with Anne and they become inseparable.

Anne still gets her mom the perfect gift, and Mrs Boonchuy learns about their mom through Sprig.

I'm not sure if Mrs Boonchuy would stay with Marcy or go home with Anne. I think it's only fair if she looks out for Marcy.

She doesn't trust King Andrias? She's suspicious? It's her mom instincts.

Hop Pop, Mrs Boonchuy & Grime get along through their shared love of good food and would do anything to protect their kids. Anything.

She didn't win the Battle Of The Bands but she had fun.
