Have you ever thought about making a Shuffle AU on Amphibibabies, based on the AU with the same name by @twixstari? Now Sasha was adopted by the Plantars, Marcy by the toads, and Anne by the Newts. It would be interesting to see their dynamics.

I imagine Sasha is going to be like Hop Pop's rebellious teen granddaughter and has the typical sibling rivarly with Sprig, though I imagine she would get along well with Polly though.

I think Marcy and Grime' dynamic would be akin to Kratos and Artreus' relationship from GOW 2018. Marcy is a smart, resourceful, and cheerful daughter while Grime is a grumpy warrior dad who doesn't really connect with her which leaves their relationship strained but they really do care for each other.

Andrias, Olivia, and Yunnan all raised Anne which formed her character. Andrias got her to know when to have fun and let loose, Olivia taught her to be responsible, and Yunnan taught her how to fight and try to achieve more. All this made Anne the way she is today and incredibly loyal to the kingdom.

I haven't had the time or brain capacity to check out the Shuffle AU but based on what you've proposed, works really well for me!

Sasha is absolutely that rebel kid and she would without a doubt bully (affectionate) her little brother but get along well with Polly

if Grime was the one to raise Marcy, she'd be called Mercy, but Percy & Braddock are Sasha’s parents in AU canon, so in the end it’s up to you with how she’d be raised, based on the living conditions I might have to look into the AU to get an idea on how Marcy thrives, since it’s more likely she gets homeschooled at Toad Tower, or you guys can just do that for me lmao

our dear Princess Anne Annastasia??? would have a title like “The Heart Of Newtopia” and she might actually be aware of her dad’s plans OR be under the impression that what he’s doing are with good intentions, her relationship with Lady Olivia gives me the vibe that it’s similar to canAnne and Mrs Boonchuy

I'll call this the Young Calamity Shuffle AU, and to pair off with what's a very thought-out portray of characters by yourself that I very much admire, we can't forget other possibilities such as @amphibiasideblog 's Place Swap AU for example, which means we’ll have Marcy "Marshy" Plantar, Lieutenant Anne, and Princess Sasha Leviathan (I'm still figuring out possible names so I'm always open to suggestions)

If Sasha and Marcy reunite in Season 3B, which I really hope so, what kind of shenanigans or development do you wanna see in their dynamic? Because Matt once said that their relationship was kind of weird, they see eye to eye and don't 'fuck with one another' (beat around the bush sounds better), so maybe they will learn to be more emotionally open.

I’ve actually pondered about these two a lot throughout the hiatus, actually.

The reason being that there are so many potential ways for these two to meet-up and interact that it’s really fun to consider how a Season 3B interaction would look like overall.

With the current directions being hypothesized on the show, I get the feeling these two would become more emotionally open with one another now that they're given new dynamic environments.

New environments that ultimately would change them in a few ways.

For Marcy, she needed a safe environment to evaluate her character, actions, and be given a support system that unconditionally loves her. In doing so, she'd begin to slowly strip off her codependency and become more outspoken about her opinions/ideas/actions rather than just making herself be indirect about what she wants.

With the implication of Marcy getting teleported out of the castle, that means she’ll be given that moment of safety to finally think about herself and how she could change.

For Sasha, with her new hero role, we're probably going to have to see her redefine what it means to be a genuine leader/person, and how to strip her codependency when it comes to her worth being tied to 'doing something' and proving herself all the time.

Throughout the show she hasn't had a moment for herself to evaluate and even rework the habits she had relating to control and a whole lot of other factors, so some of the things that I'm definitely looking out for as the story goes on is Sasha learning how to listen to other people (fully, without breaking any promises), trusting others with delegation rather than doing it herself, and seeing worth in just being there for others as just herself than anything else.

And of course, we’re going to see that with the Wartwoodians during her redemption arc.

A lot of pre-Amphibia dynamic speculation has gotten me to this probable realization that the reason why Marcy and Sasha’s relationship with each other is just overall weird is because it’s formal. Like, it’s not emotionally open compared to how they talk to Anne, they’re kind of just friends by association even though they do care for one another.

And it’s all because the way they cope in the dynamic itself makes them opposites in enabling each other.

Think about it, Marcy is probably going to bend over backwards to make sure that the people around her are happy.

She’s not like Anne where she’d start to question an action and be coerced by manipulation, she’d just fall into the orders completely because it leads to less stress for her and all the parties involved (unless we talk of peer pressure, but that’s for another day), especially since Sasha is a very forward and domineering type of person.

Why would a person who fears being rejected and alone intrude on a loved one who wants her way or the highway?

Then you’ve got Sasha, who wasn’t going to open herself emotionally due to the connotations of weakness being tied to vulnerability, failure, and lack of initiative.

We’ve seen in shots with The Third Temple that she is okay with putting up personas, that she’ll put up a script just to go along with some goal, and it’s pretty interesting that out of the girls she finds herself more susceptible in revealing her more awkward and vulnerable nature with Anne than Marcy in particular.

I mean, she still goes about the semi-honesty with awkwardness, but it does seem highly likely that Sasha leans more toward Anne when it comes to finding the genuine good in Sasha, while Marcy was never given the same due to how agreeable and logical she could become.

Marcy gives the logical answers, probabilities, and falls in line completely. Sasha takes things in a very straight forward manner, is happy to see Marcy go along for the ride, and never questions it because why would she?

They’d been doing this trio dynamic for a long time. There wouldn’t be much to question until Amphibia came around and told them otherwise.

So with Season 3B, I am willing to bet that with Marcy being more open and willing to talk of her thoughts/ideas and Sasha being more open in actually letting people take the wheel, I could see an intriguing down-to-earth friendship between these two happening overtime.

I could imagine that these two are going to be pretty awkward about it — after all, there was the betrayals and the unspoken stuff throughout the show. But when these two do start talking, it would be interesting in observing how they perceive one another, and how their new developments could grow into a level of deep respect and intimacy that we haven’t seen in these two since the probable beginning?

Stuff such as:

Pointing out certain habits and behaviors before they go off doing something they might regret.

Basically accounting each other but also enabling one another to make the perfect plan of action together (whether planning slumber parties or kicking Salamander ass).

Making jokes that can be dark or niche as all hell and yet keeps these two cracking up every time.

Of course, one is still the no-nonsense teen while the other is chipper to be there, but they wouldn’t hesitate to just ask if the other’s alright or if they fucked up big time.

They’d want to get into the nitty gritty, and have fun while doing it.
