(Late) 2023 Simblr Gratitude Day!

I'm late but I still wanted to set some time aside to show my gratitude for all the lovely, amazing, and kind-hearted people in this community!

My Inspirations

♡ @amiisims: She deleted her account, but back in 2013, I came across her Tumblr (probably through the Sims Community Forum?). I read through her 100 Baby Challenge and made my little 13-year-old self want to create a Tumblr account and give the challenge a try too. It's really because of her that I learned I love being on here, sharing my sims, and seeing other people's sims and stories. I'm 23 now and things haven't changed.

♡ @misslollypopsims: She inspired me to try out the Joy of Life Challenge! I watch all the videos on YouTube and they're sooooooo good. I love her energy and creative mind. The way she cleverly uses the things that happen during her gameplays to develop a story is so fascinating to me.

@simelune: She created the Joy of Life Challenge! I love how thorough it is but still leaves a lot of room for freedom. The challenge is engaging and I don't feel so pressured trying to reach every goal. I also appreciate the meaning behind the challenge because it really is the small joys in life that make it worthwhile.

♡ @miralure: Literally the sweetest person ever!! She's always commenting the nicest or funniest things on my posts, omg. She also reblogs a lot of them! I told her this, but it really means a lot coming from such a talented and creative person herself. Her sim style is so cute and the outfits she puts together are amazing.

♡ @lynnella: Ughhh, she's so nice and her sims from Attack on Titan are soo good. As far as I'm concerned, her posts are canon! She takes such beautiful screenshots too :)

♡ @linalinsims: I realized that she really keeps up with my posts and it's so sweet 😭 It'll be towards the end of the day and I see that she likes multiple of my posts in the span of a few minutes?? She doesn't have to do that and she does! Her sims and gameplay are lovely.

♡ @simsplymaddy: She's another kind person!! And the aesthetic of her entire blog?? The sims? The Holiday Gift Guides? My style is more emo/alternative/e-girl (I know it doesn't look like it by my Joy of Life Challenge, haha), but ugh, I love it. So well put together.

                                       100 Baby Challenge                                                      Take 3

       Simsperiment #85271.3: Baby Boom (aka the 100 Baby Challenge)

Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to observe and record the genetic outcomes of 100 sim births.  The results will then be compiled into a convenient post…for science.  

Hypothesis: I predict that producing 100 offspring will require at least 5 generations, and 25 male subjects. I also predict from the onset of the experiment through the first few births the founding female will be under some level of duress, and struggle to keep things afloat.

Procedure: In accordance with the guidelines established by AmiiSims a female sim was created to found the experiment. She will be placed into a town with a selection of male sims from various ethnic and supernatural backgrounds. Each male sim is eligible to participate in the experiment by fathering offspring, but may only do so two times. Should a male subject choose to father offspring more than once he must do so consecutively. Deviating slightly from standard procedure Subject 0’s home was purchased, then furnished with a sum of 25,000. The familyfunds were then reduced to 1,500 to cover everyday expenses for a short period of time. Subject 0, as well as all offspring of viable age, will be permitted a part-time job. They may also marry a male/female of choice upon reaching the adult life state. In addition, any female offspring Subject 0 should produce will be eligible to carry on the experiment after the founder has reached the elder life state.

In the event of Subject 0’s premature demise, one of her female offspring will be selected to carry on the experiment. If no such offspring exist, the experiment will be terminated immediately.  

Additional Notes: 1) While the researchers are all about equality male sims are not eligible to carry on the experiment. This is due entirely to the fact there are not very many clothes for pregnant male sims and we have an aesthetic to maintain. Someday we’ll be able to have a truly equal opportunity Baby Challenge, but sadly today is not that day. 2) Each generation of offspring will be named after a secret theme randomly selected from a list of 25 options via number generator. For funsies.

35. Do you ever write in pencil anymore?

I actually do! I like to take notes in pencil and do homework in pencil, because I make mistakes a lot and having the ability to erase what I wrote is good. :D

36. Do you know where the last person you kissed is?

Like, family kiss or kiss-kiss? I’ve never been kissed, so nowhere. And the last family member I kissed was…my baby sister just before she went to Germany. And right now she’s in Paris, waiting for her flight back home to leave.

37. Do you believe in love at first sight?

No. That’s just physical lust. I think you need to get to know someone before you can fall in love with them. 

38. Who did you last call?

My sister. I needed to know if she had the address of the house we’re house sitting at together. 

39. Who was the last person you danced with?

My youngest sister, at my cousin’s wedding back in May.

40. Why did you kiss the last person you kissed?

I kissed my sister (on the cheek) because she was going to Germany for a month and I was gonna miss her. And I did! But she gets home today!! :D

41. When was the last time you ate a cupcake?

Oh man. I don’t actually remember. I think that there were cupcakes at my church’s young adult group around the fourth of July?

42. Did you hug/kiss one of your parents today?

Not yet. I’m house sitting so I haven’t been home and I haven’t seen them yet.

43. Ever embarrass yourself in front of a crush?

Um, only all the time. I’m so awkward around people. It’s inevitable that I’ll embarrass myself.

44. Do you tan in the nude?

I don’t even tan, so nope!

45. If you could, would you take back your last kiss?

No. I love my baby sister with all my heart.

Hello it's me and I'm in your "Asks" ☺️

What/who made you come to simblr and what/who made you stay?

Hello!! :)

So, I first came to Simblr back in 2013 because of amiisim’s 100 Baby Challenge. I think I discovered her blog through The Sims 3 forums, and I was hooked. I was also in awe because I didn’t know about the sims community on this website. I’ve never seen anything like it before. Before Tumblr, I would get my sims content through the forums, YouTube, and WordPress. I wanted to try the 100 Baby Challenge too and see what else was on Simblr, so I did.

I was mostly gone for a few years because of school and whatnot, but I always missed it. I often thought about coming back even when I had time, but I didn’t know what to post about. Then, I saw a few simmers on YouTube trying out the Joy of Life Challenge, and I just had to do it as well. Well… at first I tried The Family Jewels Challenge because I didn’t have any ideas of my own for TJOL, but I scrapped it all after a day because I wasn’t feeling it. I decided to just do TJOL and have fun with it, see where it takes me, aaaaand now we are here 😂

I love being here, even if I post my sims a little less now, I’m still here looking at everyone’s sims, stories, and gameplay. It’s great seeing the love people put into their sims and the fun they have with it. That’s what I’m here for. I’d say (for me personally), catching up on my dashboard is just as a big priority as it is posting. I can’t miss anything! There’s too many people to tag, but you guys already know who you are 🤍 The ones whose posts I’m liking, commenting on, or reblogging! And my people who I chat with 💕 you guys are awesome

@amiisims - She was the first simblr I saw and her simblr is what actually made me think to make one, her sims and stories will always hold a special place in my heart. She is really such a nice person even though we haven’t talked a ton, I always manage to get absorbed in her legacies and such.

@simmingstuff - Alright, I feel like you’re my closest simblr friend and those builds tho. Seriously, I have talked with her the most out of anyone on here! She’s made me feel so welcome here! (also, I love seeing realistic sims, I just ocd in my own game and can’t do it XD)

@calisimgirl - I ended up chatting with her because hopelesslydevotedsimmer (who btw has an amazing legacy going on)​​ wished her a happy birthday and it turns out we’re birthday buddies! I really love her sims and I think she’s a really nice person (and she’s v welcoming too lol)!

@wafflekone - I got really into her simblr because she has such a different style of building and creating sims than I do and I think it’s really cool! Also, she seems like a really cool person :3

@napoleonfrost - all around just a really cool dude and just, his games and builds and everything is so cool! His legacy is always interesting XD (and all hail the tan line lol) it’s always cool to see his posts.

I will be doing a favorite storytellers/cc creators soon but I just really wanted to get this out lol
