“Temperance. Three of cups all backwards , and that there’s a two of wands. This here spread means ya’ll need to hold your horses, get some of your own time to dillidally, and maybe y’all can rustle up somethin’ fun to do. Ya heard.”

ms dana cyberdragoninfinity do you have any yugioh spinoff merch hunting tips 👉👈🥺
YESSSS WHIRLS AROUND IN MY BIG SPINNING CHAIR. i Love merch hunting and giving merch hunting tips, there's a whole beautiful world of often remarkably inexpensive yugioh merch out there and once you learn how to track it down a new chapter of your life can truly begin. I bestow onto you some of my advice gleaned from about two and a half years of Searching For Merch Like a Tuffle-Sniffing Hog:
(note: while im specifically focusing on ygo spinoff merch here, you can use this advice to find all kinds of cool japan-exclusive merch!! im constantly getting japanese pokemon merch via tips like these, for example.)
Anyway, MERCH HUNTING TIP NUMBER ONE:
Tumblr media
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT BUT JAPANESE EXCLUSIVE MERCH ON EBAY. DONT. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
HEAVY SIGH. ebay can be such a useful site but not for this. good god not for this. You might luck out with a stray deal here or there but stuff like japanese exclusive yugioh merch on ebay tends to more often than not be sold for OUTRAGEOUSLY high prices and maybe it's not technically a scam but well your wallet aint gonna be happy about it. Stuff like tiny Cospa keychains get sold for $30, $40, 80 FUCKING US AMERICAN DOLLARS. AND SHIPPING. LOOK AT THIS SHIT
Tumblr media
ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS??!??! NIGHTMARE. NIGHTMARE. do not buy spinoff merch from ebay!! INSTEAD....
Tumblr media
TIP TWO: come with me. to proxy buying service ❤❤❤❤
I love proxy services SO much. Basically theyre sites that will buy stuff from Japanese shopping sites on your behalf, then hold the goodies in their warehouse until you're ready to ship them over to you! They RULE. THEY ARE LIFECHANGING, FOR THE HUMBLE MERCH HUNTER. And they're all pretty intuitive to learn how to use, theyve got pretty solid FAQs and they'll walk you through how to request items, and theyll often let you search for merch ON their website, making the buying process even easier!
(There's a whole bunch of 'em, though and they all have different fees and amounts of time they'll hold your stuff for free, so you have to do some poking around and figure out which one you like using the most! My favorite go-to is Neokyo, personally; they have some great discount sales, they hold your stuff for free for 45 days, and their item request fees are all really reasonable!! I LOVE THEM. BEEN USING EM FOR YEARS NOW <3)
Anyway the point here, re: proxy sites, not only do they give you easy access to japanese resale sites and all the merch being sold on 'em, it also gives you access to tWay, Way, Waaaaayyy Lower Prices for trinkets and goodies. Like. look at this listing from Mercari JPN (viewed on Neokyo's site,) of the $125 Jack Atlas Phone Charm from my first tip
Tumblr media
yeah that is, um. the same charm. AND two other adorable charms. FOR 13 AMERICAN DOLLARS. THIRTEEN. THAT IS. LITERALLY LIKE 90% CHEAPER THAN THAT EBAY LISTING. AND YOURE GETTING MORE STUFF. there is SO much yugioh (and other anime) merch being sold on jpn shopping sites for like. $4-$10. it is ridiculous. and then when proxy sites have discount deals you can get stuff for even CHEAPER sometimes. (theres also, of course, expensive merch lots too, just like with anything, theres just. also listings for stuff sold for less than a fancy dinner for two yknow HHDFGS)
it basically opens a whole new avenue of sites to find goodies on... I like using proxy buyers especially for listings on more general ebay-type sites like JPN Mercari (there is so much good and sometimes really rare stuff on there) and Surugaya (lots of doujins on there if that's your thing,) but also for buying from the main sites New ygo merch drops happen on (Cospa, eeo store, and the official KaibaCorp store in particular are some of the best.)
Ok, so, ya got your proxy service of choice. How do you find the goodies you're looking for?
Tumblr media
TIP THREE: GOTTA KNOW THE BEST KEYWORDS!!!
this isnt really a rocket science tip, but, still: search for stuff not just in japanese but use the kanji!! Sometimes i'll just c/p the base characters of a yugioh guy's japanese name off their yugipedia page and then pop that into the mercari search just to see what sorta treats are floating around with them on it. But if going and constantly copy/pasting kanji into the proxy service search is a pain in the neck a lot 'em will auto translate your English searches too! again, theyre all really user friendly, which is great
(the one thing i will say you SHOULD search in english, though, is spinoff names, actually--you pop GX, ZEXAL, ARC-V, etc. into the proxy search and youll get all sorts of stuff for whatever series it is)
OK ONE MORE TIP FOR YA. TIP FOUR: DO WHAT YOU CAN TO GET THE MOST OF SHIPPING COSTS
Tumblr media
ok so that is. the one pain, with merch hunting on proxy buying sites: shipping will probably be Expensive. (unless you go for the cheapest seamail options and then get your box maybe 4-6 months from now 🥴 but hey, it's an option! it's there!) I usually end up paying around $30-$50 for my boxes from Neokyo.
BUT you can at least make that shipping cost feel more reasonable if youre shipping A BUNCH OF STUFF. Shipping one (1) little $4 GX character can badge for $30 REALLY sucks, avoid this if you can--with proxies holding your stuff in their warehouse, you can get a bunch of little cheap goodies and just hold 'em until youre ready to get 'em packed and shipped. Then, whenever youre ready/have the money for the shipping cost, get all the stuff youve bought packed into one box, pay for the shipping, and (usually within two weeks--the one tradeoff of the high shipping price is you get that shit FAST) then get your stuff! It's like FUCKIN CHRISTMAS getting a box of proxy-obtained stuff including things from like two months ago i totally forgot i bought. Makes the $40 shipping sting a little less--like, hey, at least i got like 12 damn things in here and i didnt pay $125 for any of them!!!!
ok i think that's all i got. hopefully this is somewhat useful!! folks are always welcome to ask me stuff about merch hunting, like i said i really like helping people get a hold of stuff :3 it's really a lot easier than it seems at first!

@pareorogas showing pictures of a contemporaneous report on the first and second ever Comikets by some of its organizers, a very good find!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All...handwritten Japanese text with occasional crazy fonts and vertical-row alignment. Just great for efficient OCR'ing so I can translate it, really easy to do, very nice.
Something you may have heard before is that the first Comikets were female-dominated - and that is true, this confirms that. You may also have heard that is due to things like the popularity of the Gundam franchise, a series showcasing male heroes and anti-heroes; something that the fujoshis were "all upons", to say the least. I'm sure that would be true later, but the first Comiket was in December of 1975 - Gundam didn't come out until 1979. Space Battleship Yamato had only just aired the year before, genre anime for adults was very new. The more likely explanation is the one highlighted here - that this was a manga-franchises-first event, manga was just bigger amoung women at the time given the shoujo boom, and most importantly the event was advertised in a shoujo magazine:
Tumblr media
This ad appeared in Bessatsu Shojo Comic, and the article above notes that doujin of works by the mangaka Moto Hagio (who published in that magazine) were the most popular ones being sold. Additionally there was a screening of, if I have the details right here, a "Dynavision" fan animated short adapting Gynasium in November, a work by Hagio. That is a term the creators (chiefly Comiket co-founder Yoshihiro Yonezawa) used to describe essentially panning & moving images of stills from the manga. It was 1975, a souped-up PowerPoint presentation was impressive then and took a lot of work to make!
All of this is to say that the first Comiket had the vision of being a diverse collective of eclectic artists - and it was, for sure - but that vision was partially swamped by a bunch of fans for a few specific properties doing their own thing. The article strikes a very concerned tone throughout about this - it is worried Comiket will collapse into being a "shallow event" riding popular trends, as opposed to being something with a life of its own. The founders of Comiket want people to come for the craft of doujin itself, not for One Specific Thing that happens to be there. As such, they mark the event a success but hope that the circles can "turn things upside down", not rely on "gimmicks", and push Comiket farther in the future.
I think the record shows they will achieve that! But I would be interested in more coverage of the early ones to see how they got there.
That last page by the way includes a list of all the circles that participated - not sure if that information was easily accessible before, maybe it was, but I am certainly glad to have it now! Reviewing them you see the things you would expect, like the "Erotica Alliance" - banding together to fight for freedom! But one of them struck me personally:
Middle Earth Studios Foreign Comic Book Sale
So Lord of the Rings was translated into Japanese in 1972, it was very popular in Japan. But foreign comic book sales? So funnily enough, Rankin Bass - yes the American studio who made the claymation Christmas Specials - was making an adaptation of the Hobbit for release in 1977, and by "making" I mean they outsourced all of it to Japanese studio Topcraft. So that was being animated at this time, I wonder if there was some fan stuff going on there, and that is the "foreign"? Or maybe they just mean, you know, it is a foreign work, domestic comics about a foreign franchise.
But I would love to know if western LOTR fanzines were being sold at the first Comiket. I want to believe!

OKAY OC POSTING
If you don't gimmie your OC lore in the replies I'm gonna take your toes--
Tumblr media
Introducing:: May Osewai - Secretary of Manga Theme Songs:: Living Dead Girl - Rob Zombie | She's Out Of Her Mind - blink-182 | FUNERAL GREY - Waterparks Favorite Shit:: Anime Adaptations, Visual novels, Horror / Guro, Battle Royale(s), Monster Movies, Slasher Flicks, Acrylic Stands, Hard Covers, Asian horror, Foreign Films, Evangelion : Neon Genesis, Ghost in the Shell, Corpse Party, Torrent Sites, X-Men, Spawn, Teen Titans, Accurate Translations, Uncensored Doujins, Silent Hill, Serial Experiments : Lain
Japanese Native, although only half japanese, who moved to the suburbs of NY with her father while she was still in middle school. Outwardly, you'd think she wouldn't belong in the Eltingville Club (Aside from.. Girl--) She's quiet, generally keeps to herself.. UNTIL You try to mention anything related to Manga, Mythology Monsters, or Movies, ESPECIALLY foreign movies. A toxic fan just like the rest of them, she belittles "improper" American remakes, English Dub IS for posers, and she will die on the hill that Evangelion is an under rated masterpiece and that nobody actually understands the ending. If she saw how people interpret Serial Experiments: Lain in this day and age of the internet she would actually have a stroke. She became friends with the boys through Pete, though she attended school with all of them throughout their teens. One of her many nicknames was "Sadako", (and yes she would absolutely yell at you if you tried to call her "Samara" instead) due to her generally dead-tired expression and her hair, which used to be significantly longer when she was a kid, to the point that it eventually became her AOL handle (sadako_chan) as a joke to herself. She lives with just her dad, her mom having passed away before they moved to Eltingville, and according to him, Mr. Osewai wanted to try and find her a "less hectic" environment than a tiny Tokyo Apartment. Suffering from the curse of gifted kid burnout and also an only child, she extra didn't have anybody to build social skills with when she was young, so her outlets were manga and cartoons which turned into movies as she got older. She also will randomly blurt out facts she knows about franchises/films she is watching when she is with others (and.. honestly she does it even when she's by herself like a goof), but will get PISSED if people are talking during a scene she likes or something she deems "important to the plot". She also loves to rewatch movies, but gets frustrated when people don't notice or understand things the first time they watch something. She owns dozens, if not nearly a hundred different figures from various franchises, Western or Japanese, including the entire Teen Titans roster as poseable figmas that are practically her prized possession-- That's reserved for her signed poster for the original Battle Royale and her art book for corpse party. She is a bit of a gore weirdo, there's a reason she gets along with Pete after all, so don't be shocked if she starts going off about some random underground 4Chan shit like Metamorphosis on steroids.
Her birthday is September 9th, she thinks Mecha-Fans are a bunch of man-babies that couldn't decide if they wanted to be or fuck Optimus Prime, and absolutely will roundhouse kick you in the shins if you try to use her as an armrest.
Also, some of her favorite game franchises include: Resident Evil/Biohazard, Final Fantasy, Xenoblade, Silent Hill (Yes, even The Room), Mortal Kombat, Corpse Party (obviously), RPG Horror Games, and Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask to name a few. Oh, and the Lego Star Wars and Lego Batman games, but those are guilty pleasures she'll never admit to unless someone offered to play it with her--

WHO WINNING THE TWERK-OFF: HtP edition
Through careful analysis I have determined out of nearly every character we've been introduced to so far, who would win a naked and covered in oil twerk competition
First up is the Arcanum and immediately most of them are disqualified for having little to no ass or heart. There's really only four worth talking about. Brok has cheeks but wouldn't do it (DO I'Z LOOK LOIK A POOF TO YEW?!), Grimy has potential but would not lock in and probably would end up doing some weird shit she saw in a doujin, Harry has the bod and knows how to move it, and Elise is well...just look at her
Team vamp is pitiful. Shitbeard canonically has negative ass, Ape is too wound up, and while Guy and the manager would do it if vitae was on the line, they wouldn't be very good. Pyotr is the only one bringing his A+ game and probably should diablerize the others for that instant BBL
Team Hunter has some choice picks. Boy is disqualified for obvious reasons (sorry kid, maybe if we get a timeskip), Horse physically cannot twerk, and Krakus won't leave the well so it's down to the mains. While the sweatpants are doing him some favors, Kitten couldn't possibly stand up to the competition, I'm sorry. Door could probably crush a Coke can with those buns of steel but he doesn't seem like he can't move that mass effectively. Marckus is really the only choice, as we can see an episode 1 that shit was moving like water. D obviously moves on but that should go without saying.
So who wins? I hate to say it but Harry, Pyotr, and Marckus aren't up to the task, they might be good but not that good. So it's down to Elise and D. (Though out of the runners up, I think Pyotr beats Harry by the skin of his fangs)
Elise has cake on cake on cake (I don't know why you guys made her so incredibly stacked) but D actually cinches it due to that. She's a natural talent and natural talents are known for not putting in the work because they don't really need to. Besides, I don't see this as being something she'd be particularly enthused about, so I can imagine her just squatting down and doing literally whatever because it's gonna clap and jiggle regardless.
D on the other hand is going to WERK. He is going to shake it like rent is due. It'd look like that one scene from American Dad. You didn't think it was possible for ass to move like this. He has decades of experience and this certainly isn't his first rodeo. He has flawless technique with the physique to seal the deal.
So in hindsight the answer was kind of obvious,
BIG-D WINS

I know nothing of comics really, and all I know for Spideypool shit is that run really. I know you posted a short list of your recommendations and I read those, but are there more? Teach me your ways.
there's really honestly such slim pickings for spider-man/deadpool team-ups, @psychoticflyingdragonbunnies my beloved... if you've read my recommendations and you've read the sm/dp series then i think you've basically read all there is to read when it comes to spideypool! there really wasn't much in the way of canon spideypool content when i started here - and you'll actually find a LOT of my early stuff was influenced by fanon just as much as canon. because there really wasn't much canon. there really wasn't. in fact, there's fanon pieces that are so, so influential and have lived in my head for so long that - if you saw them, you'd instantly say "ah. yep. that's where sci got it from."
thinking of you, that one spideypool doujin illustrated by brian.curry that lives in my head and will never leave no matter what i do no matter where i go will always always always revolve in my brain never ceasing never stopping never ever even on my death bed this is what i will be thinking about always and forever for the rest of time always forever infinity until the heat death of the universe
Tumblr media
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH.
yeah. this doujin irreversably changed me. it was so perfect and wonderful and i've done everything in my power to continue whatever this is because i think the world needs more of it.
Tumblr media
so! when it comes to spideypool you'll have to lean more into the fanon stuff. the canon stuff isn't great. and there's not a lot of it. but there's so much really really good fanon stuff. if you know where to look. it used to be much easier to find, before the mcu ruined everything. the japanese do it well, though. sometimes. they do it better than we do. i think the west pales in comparison. even in their freaking anime!!
Tumblr media
i think a lot of the spideypool things i consumed around the time i started writing the blog was from pixiv and japanese artists. so all of that fell into the pot. i was very well-read and researched in the world of spideypool, once upon a time. not so much anymore. i have no idea what's going on with the spideypool fandom right now, it's so scary to me. so i keep to my little corner, with my cozy little personal wade and peter, whomst i love so much. they're the wade and peter i want to see. so i stick with them, and hide away from the spideypool fandom at large. i've seen so much spideypool content that i don't want to see. so i stay in the safe little corner i've created for myself. it's a shame though - because pre-mcu, the spideypool fandom felt like a much nicer place. it just got weird when the mcu got involved.
spideypool is a very prolific beast. it's travelled the world. and fact is, the american comics really aren't even the best place to get it. go forth. explore!

Dark, angsty USUK? Dark, angsty USUK! 👍 I just read a very messed up doujin with these two set in their revolutionary days and now I fancy some pain between them.
It’s a headcanon I like when I’m in the mood for a darker interpretation of Hetalia: when a nation wins a war against another - especially if territory is won and lost - they get to claim the losing nation-person’s body. Make them submit. Sexually. You know what I’m talking about. Vital regions and all that. It’s usually not done willingly, but it is done. Child nations are spared but once they grow into their adult bodies, all bets are off. Told to just grit their teeth and bear it. It’s tradition: how they’ve done it since time immemorial. Feared or - in the case of some of the more sadistic of their kind - anticipated, but never questioned. Just “the way things are.” Nation-people are born of those who live in their borders and war makes people cruel. Humans take a long time to change from what they always knew. Even if deep down in their souls, they wonder if what they do is right. “The way it’s always been” is a great power in and of itself. This is the way people are. Why would what’s born from them not reflect it?
So how did this translate to the American War of Independence?
Arthur is a nation of the Old World. He’s lived for millennia and won and lost countless wars. He’s claimed others and been claimed himself, many times. Been beaten, then bent down and used by rivals like Antonio and Francis, only to come back and do the same to them the next time. Just another reason to always try to win at any cost. He never expected to lose to Alfred and, when the predicted victory came, Arthur planned to be gentle with him. He remembers his first time, remembers the pain, terror, and humiliation. Arthur has hardened himself to it these days and takes that part of defeat white knuckled and tight-lipped. But that first time was brutal. He won’t do that to Alfred. He assures himself he will be gentle, will do what has to be done quickly and kindly. Afterwards they can put this whole sorry business behind them and go back to the way things ought to be.
Then Alfred wins.
Alfred, a new and terribly young nation, who had no idea about any of this. He’s known conflict before but, as a colony, it would have been Arthur who suffered the consequences if Alfred ever lost a war in his name. Arthur never told him about this part of being a national personification. Why would he? Alfred was only a child. Then, when he grew up, Arthur still expected to take responsibility for him forever. There was no need to burden his sweet, young Alfred with unpleasant details that would never be relevant to him.
Or so Arthur thought. Then, at that crucial moment when Alfred fumbles and is vulnerable, Arthur weakens and fails to strike him down.
Alfred wins the war. His first as an independent nation. Won unaware that now, as the victor, there’s something that’s expected of him. Arthur’s tears already shook Alfred to the core. He’d have bet on fury: either cold and bitter, or harsh and fiery, not for his old guardian to spare him and then break down and weep. Alfred is coming down from battle’s high, disoriented from the feeling of breaking away from the Empire that made him. Euphoric at his win but also antsy and ill at ease. It’s such a huge change even if it was a longed for one. Ironically, this was the moment Alfred most desperately wished for Arthur to be there to comfort him. Guide and soothe him as the one who came before. Speaking of, Alfred doesn’t understand what’s happening when Arthur grits his teeth and buries his face in the crook of one arm to hide his tears. Doesn’t get up and instead lies back in the mud and tells Alfred to get on with it. Reeling from everything that’s happened and running on instinct, Arthur forgets he never told Alfred about his “duty” as victor.
So Alfred stares down at him, befuddled. Get what over with? For a terrifying, stomach-lurching moment he thinks Arthur wants him to kill him. Alfred would refuse utterly if that was the case. Death isn’t permanent for a nation-person unless the nation itself is lost, but that doesn’t mean dying isn’t painful and traumatic. Especially if it’s at the hand of one of their own. Meanwhile, the atmosphere has changed. The British soldiers are turning away in shame and disgust while Alfred’s men just look confused and uncomfortable. A strange quirk but because Alfred doesn’t know what’s expected of him, his people don’t either. They still leave when the redcoats do, though. Something instinctive tells them what’s about to happen here is no place for humans.
Suddenly Alfred is alone with Arthur, who’s still on the ground, still not looking at him. Minutes tick by, and then Alfred is given such a start that he almost drops his gun when Arthur suddenly screams at him:
“What are you waiting for?! Damn you, must you torment me further?! Just get it over with!”
Alfred’s raw nerves get the better of him. His temper flares and he finds himself yelling back:
“Get what over with?! I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
Arthur freezes. At long last he belatedly remembers he never explained. Meanwhile, Alfred is ranting that if Arthur wants to be shot he can do it himself because there’s no way Alfred will blow his brains out just to satisfy some sick honour code or something. Arthur finally looks at him once he’s finished and falteringly, with a few false starts, explains. Explains their kind’s tradition and the obvious implications it has for the pair of them now.
Alfred listens in silence. When he finishes and his words trail off, Arthur will never forget the look of sheer horror and disgust that crossed his former colony’s handsome features. A look directed squarely at him.
“You want me to…you thought I would do that to you?!”
Arthur tries to explain it’s just what always happens at battle’s end, but Alfred is having none of it and won’t let him get the words out.
“You really thought I’d - oh my God, Arthur! You really thought I would have…to you? Just because I won our war?”
Then comes the worst moment of all. What Alfred says next, said in a voice that makes Arthur, a great power and burgeoning empire, feel lower and dirtier than the most pathetic, hated wretch in all his lands:
“You - would you - oh my God, you’d have done that to me if you won? That’s what you were planning?”
All Arthur can do is lie there, still stammering hopelessly about tradition and “just how it is” intermixed with apologies he doesn’t notice until they come pouring past his lips. That the victor could choose not to have his spoils, was a thought that had never occured to Arthur. Never even entered his mind till that moment. Tradition, good or ill, Arthur had always been a creature of it. Since his first time, crushed under the weight of Rome’s breastplate, Arthur accepted their lot without question. Perhaps it was for that reason there was a flash of pity in Alfred’s blue eyes - usually summer warm but now coldly furious - before he turned away. Just for a split second amongst the anger, disgust, and betrayal, but it was there. There, and became what stopped Alfred hating Arthur forever when he easily could have. The world they’d been born into was a cruel and harsh one. He knew Arthur had been a victim of it too.
“Go home, England.”
Alfred turned his back on Arthur, fists clenched and rain running down his back.
“I won’t do that. Not to you, or anyone. These are my lands now. We do things my way here. So take your men and go home. I don’t want to see you again. Not for a while.”
Arthur obeyed.
They don’t speak of it the next time they meet. Nor the next, or the next time after that. Not for the better part of half a century.
Even when enough time passes that hearts warm and Alfred forgives Arthur, the memory of that night keeps them apart for a long, long time. It’s a good thing nation-people are so long lived or the romance that eventually blossoms between them would have been outlasted by old wounds. It takes the world to truly change, the Age of Empires to pass from Europe once and for all, before the personifications of the United States and England can put their shared past behind them and move on together. They get there in the end. Steady, steady, slowly, slowly, one step at a time. Change - real change - is hard and slow. But they get there together. In the end.

Slightly late comiket c103 masterpost
(Long post)
Someone cosplayed Bocchi from the house visiting episode (with the sash and party glasses)
Staff cosplaying as Mori Calliope and Oozara Subaru
RX-78-2 cosplayer waved to the crowd entering the venue (almost everyone in that section waved back)
Bocchi and Ryo cosplayers in the Blue Archive section
This one cosplayer manning a stall who very nearly handed me back 11000 yen when I handed her 10000 yen for a 1000 yen item
A Kurisu Makise cosplayer who didn't have Dr Pepper on hand but did have some tea
Arknights Platinum cosplayer who was like 180cm tall (with like 3 inch heel boots)
Went to I211's booth. Saw him talking in English to the customer in front of me. Tried to ask for the new book by asking in English. He replied in Japanese. Thanked him in English again. He thanked me in Japanese.
Guilty Gear May cosplayer with like a really really big hat
Different staff cosplaying as Calliope Mori (again)
Seems obvious when said but its interesting to see that people quite often dress in something related to what they're selling (train stuff/conductor's uniform, military stuff/camo uniform, 男の娘 etc)
Singular Ruri Dragon doujin booth
Someone was cosplaying as the guy from The Mask of all things. Like the one with the green face and yellow suit
The guy who married Miku had a booth and a Miku doll was handing out stuff to people visiting
A pair of Ryo and Kita maid cosplayers selling Bocchi stuff together
Saw a whole ass VSK, Kalashnikov and two RPGs in the military section
Overheard in an american accent "I'm telling you man it's all just horses"
3 completely different Touhou cosplayers just browsing the military section (Junko Aya and Sakuya)
A pair of Uma Musume cosplayers manning a booth in the train section
A pair of Chisato and Takina cosplayers manning a booth in the train section
For some reason quite a lot of booths in the train section accepted electronic payment (everywhere else was cash only)
Train ASMR
Somehow got called 'onee san'
A Witch from Mercury book being sold with the cover designed like one of those HG kit boxes
Bocchi the Cock. Like, a lot of it
Quite a sizable number of Kikuri Hiroi booths
There were like 4-5 booths in a row all selling AI generated stuff and you could tell which ones used the same program
One singular Brisket (strive) cosplayer
A booth that was just a guy handing out political flyers
A booth that just had "stop censorship law" written all over
Some guy cosplaying in a full ghillie suit
Okuyasu cosplayer (without The Hand) (or Josuke)
A staff who had a hat with a batter operated spinning ferris wheel like thing on it
A staff who had a Blue Archive halo taped on his hat but wasn't otherwise cosplaying (it was pink idk whose halo it was)
A staff who didn't know what colour his hat was and called it "yellowish orange" (オレンジ黄色いぽい)
As always there were many 男の娘/女装/etc

Submitter's Note: A note of context; whilst in America/Europe, Nerdcore is a term associated with Rap/Hip Hop with lyrics that reference "nerdy" interests, within Japanese indie/doujin music, it refers to a broad movement of independent music of varying electronica genres that often sampled, bootlegged, remixed, or was otherwise associated with some form of media. The term also predates its American/European use, dating back to at least the 90s. Some of the musicians featured on this compilation are veterans of the scene/movement, and have been producing songs since its rough inception.

"As an American*, I feel the need to interject. Doujins are lame, read books instead. Actually no, laze about on your couch and watch television."

Okay, so here's an update of the situation:
Due to the rise of fascism, I will be going on a hiatus from this blog (from my Tumblr account all together), starting in January 13th, and I will only return on 2028 (assuming that Tumblr and the american democracy will still be around by then, that is...)
January 13th will be one week before [REDACTED] is sworn back into office, and we have no idea of what horrible things he'll do to the minorities and their rights, so here's what I'm currently doing:
I am downloading all sorts of material that's considered "illegal" and "immoral" to fascists, be they zines (magical girl-centric and others, anything goes), queer/trans books, hentai doujins, etc.;
When Jan 13th arrives, my blogs will no longer be updated, because I will export/archive them all in case of an unfair termination, so enjoy this period of activity while you still can;
If you're a mutual of mine, I suggest you give me your email address on my DMs, so I can keep contact with you even when censorship hits.
I am so not going to see everything crumble down in real time. I will try to gather whatever information I can, ignore the USA for those 4 years, keep myself sane and get my shit together in the process.
I will be angry, but I will not despair; and I suggest you all do the same, as well. And NO, this is NOT paranoia, it's called a contingency plan. Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst.
