jackson's slender amanita (also american slendercaesar, & eastern caesar's amanita) is :an agaric fungus in the family amanitaceae. it is found in canada, mexico & the US, forming mycorrhizal associations :-)
the big question : can i bite it?? this mushroom is edible, but not particularly recommended for consumption.
a. jacksonii description :
"the cap of the mushroom is 8–12 cm wide ; oval at first, becoming convex, typically with a central bump ; sticky ; brilliant red or orange, fading to yellow on the margin ; typically without warts or patches ; the margin lined for about 40–50% of the cap's radius. the red pigment fades from margin toward the centre with age. gills are moderately crowded to crowded, orange-yellow to yellow-orange to yellow. they are free from the stem or slightly attached to it ; yellow to orange-yellow ; crowded ; not bruising. the short gills are subtruncate to truncate. its stipe or stem (90–140 × 9–16 mm) is yellow & is decorated with orange fibrils & patches that are the remnants of a felted extension of the limbus internus of the otherwise white volva."

Foraging haul from this past July. It's rained probably less than 30 days this entire summer in North Georgia, so I haven't been able to go on many mushroom forays. I'm super thankful for this haul though, we made some delicious meals with these mushrooms! Pictured in no particular order: chanterelle, american caesar, shaggy stalk bolete, cinnabar chanterelle, indigo milky cap.

GHOULS AND THEIR FAVORITE FOODS
Started thinking of the ghouls a little too much while I was hungry, so Im now here to present this dumpster fire.
Aether: frozen yogurt
He loves when it’s warmer out, it means the cold treat is even better than usual (yes he's the type to eat cold stuff when its cold out). He loves the tart, plain flavor and puts cookie dough bites and butterfinger pieces on it.
Dew: ravioli
Any filling, any sauce. Lil guy will put these away like they’re air. The store bought, premade ones are good, but he loves the ones Mountain makes— mushroom and cheese filled in a brown butter sauce.
Aeon: rice crackers
He likes to think that this is what it must feel like to chew on styrofoam. Sure they taste good, but he mostly eats them for the crunches. He lowkey hates the ones wrapped in seaweed.
Aurora: indian food
She is an absolute fiend for samosas. She could make a meal out of it if only she didnt want to eat everything else on the menu. She loves literally everything, but her favorite is chicken madras. She’s busy eating her way through the menu at the restaurant in town. She goes with Copia every Friday for lunch, its their “thing”.
Mountain: barbecue
He’s in heaven whenever they tour through some of the southern states. Loves brisket. Loves cornbread even more.
(he also just loves meat in his mouth)
Rain: cheap pizza
He loves all chain pizzas, but his favorite is Little Caesars. A crappy and slightly-overcooked-from-sitting-under-the-warmer pizza will cheer him up on even the worst days. Also hates olives. Like he really, really hates them. Dew messed up the first time he ordered and got a supreme pizza with olives and Rain straight up cried.
Sunshine: pierogies
She'll eat any pierogi, as long as you give her sour cream on the side. Sometimes she likes them crisped up in butter, but that's a big sometimes. Sunshine has still not found a filling she dislikes.
Swiss: fancy(ish) pizzas
I cant really blame the guy for liking the woodfired stuff. Favorite toppings include but are not limited to: roasted garlic, roasted peppers, prosciutto, and arugula. Him and Rain are opposites when it comes down to this.
Cumulus: pad thai
Americanized or traditional, she will devour it. Though she regularly eats meat, she only gets tofu as the protein option for her pad thai. Unlike the others who seem to have had the best luck, she has found one that she absolutely hated. It was from an Asian fusion chain restaurant. She would've sent it back if she wasn't so scared of being perceived as rude.
Cirrus: crab rangoon
She hates when there's actual crab in her crab rangoons. She just wants that sweet cream cheese. It is the only thing she asks for when they pick cheap Chinese food for dinner.

Party
Light appetizers, little bits of hard and soft cheese, pickles, meat or fish, onions green and red, apples and pears, jams and nut butters on crackers on plates prepared for guests on side tables lined up North and South walls.
Bit of drink in every cup. From virgin fruit punch to gin and tonics, help yourself to the bar at the East and West corners of the room. The bars are well stocked and besides them is the mix table with non alcoholic drinks if you like. The bars are East and West as the sun rises and sets, to remind you to pace yourself if you don't want a hangover.
The refreshments ring is the outside, next comes the art. Arranged according to the Seasons we have Autumn at the West, where the sun sets and the twilight transitions is best suited. I'm an Autumn baby so this is probably where you find me by default, sitting in a dark red easy chair drinking a craft beer talking about the history of the weather in influencing military campaigns. I forgot to use a coaster, so there's a ring of condensation on the coffee table. It'll leave a mark, small reminder of our times here.
North is where you find the Winter Motif, cool colours like blue snow and Evergreen pines. Air conditioning is the strongest here, but the chairs come with blankets. Hot coffee, tea, and coffee liqueur is found here, hot drinks and the faux fireplace coffee table. Talk is light and breezy, plans for the future are common and easy, now is the time to collaborate our intents and conquer the world. Seize the day, cozy and warm under woolen comfort.
To the East is Springtime, you know it and I know it. Bright colours bursting with life, earthen tones await them all the same. A balance of new life built on the decay of old. Mushrooms show signs of a life after death, their fruiting forms a peek of something hidden under the veil of the surface of the dirt. Flowers attract insects, insects attract birds and at night bats. The new buds of trees show the vulnerability of the eldest trees, and the vigor of the saplings. Drinks here are fruity and bubbly, but to be honest I might spike a peppermint tea with something stronger. The beanbag chairs lounge around a big flat leaf table, with a spilled drink dripping off the side. It's okay it's only water.
.At the South there's the biggest windows, I live in the North so that's where they go to get the best light. The spiciest snacks are here, but also the freshest fruits. A BLT is a tomato sandwich that brought friends. Is the cheese spicy or are the spices cheesy? Yes, that line always gets a laugh like "is it hot enough for ya?". Art here is focused on motion and it's shadow, fulfilling dreams and living life. What are dreams but life's shadow? I've never been one for Caesars or bloody Marys, not a tomato juice guy myself but they're popular here. I'll have a vodka and cucumber water, need something light in the direct sun. Topics of conversation are about immediacy, what we did before the party, how much we swam last week, what cliff we're taking on tomorrow. I swear on the Gods if you touch my Apollo statue again I will curse you with psychic powers, and please stop jumping over the camp fire, it's sacred. The chairs here are Muskoka chairs, Americans call them Airondraks I believe. Besides each is a cooler you can put drinks in and rest your can on the top of, no shared table here we have the fire.
In the middle of the room a spiral staircase, entrance and exit with grace.

Why Seek Local Pizza Delivery In Hollywood And Weston, FL?
Every American craves pizza at some point in their life. Indeed, the beautiful soft crust topped with delicious meat, veggies, and a whole lot of cheese creates an entire dish that will eliminate hunger pangs and more. Every student or young individual in the USA tries to note the best pizza restaurants in Miramar and Cooper City, FL, as a priority. The immigrants get assimilated into the culture through pizza too. This unique Italian-turned-American food is thus a great unifier that brings everyone together without exception.
Alternatively known as the pizzeria, the pizza restaurant does not brandish a menu full of delectable pizza varieties only. Instead, one can feast on other Italian dishes that are as appetizing and delightful as the humble Neapolitan pizza. Sure, using fresh tomatoes and cheese makes the difference, but the pizza outlets nationwide are not immune to experimentation either.
An excess of meat on pizza has become incredibly popular. Thus, one finds the 5 Meats pizza featured on the menu. On the contrary, there are vegetarian and vegan versions available too. The topping consists of a host of vegetables such as eggplants, green peppers, mushrooms, spinach, onions, and broccoli; the cheese is a vegan substitute for people refusing to consume any animal product. A wonderfully tasty 14-inch Thin Pizza Crust can be ordered with a gluten-free pizza that enables gluten-intolerant individuals to taste the best of pizzas without experiencing health issues.
While an excess of gooey cheese and red meat is not the healthiest option, few could resist ordering a pizza. The one trying to diet dedicatedly or hoping to catch something a trifle healthier may find the yummiest salads on the menu of a pizzeria too. Some of the notable salads that remain popular across Europe and America include the following:-
· Caesar Salad - Contains Romaine lettuce & shavings of parmigiana cheese. It is served with croutons to keep hunger pangs away
· Antipasto- A traditional salad created with salami, ham, capicola, provolone, marinated vegetables, boiled egg, and pepperoncini. It contains fresh tomatoes, onions & black olives that makes it truly Italian
· Greek Salad- Celebrate Greece with tomatoes, red onions, green peppers, kalamata olives, and cucumber topped with feta cheese
· Caprese Salad- Anther true blue Italian salad that is mouthwatering, to say the least. The dish includes Romaine lettuce, naturally ripened tomatoes, fresh basil & mozzarella cheese. The salad is drizzled with virgin olive oil & balsamic glaze, making it special indeed.
· Tuna Salad- The one’s hoping to feast on fish and opt for the generous portion of tuna served together with lettuce, onion, tomatoes, black olives, and a boiled egg. This is a wholesome dish that fills the body and satiates the mind.
There may be a pizza outlet or Italian takeout nearby, but individuals often feel too tired to go out after a punishing schedule at the workplace. Retaining the nearest pizzeria's contact number can help them order local pizza delivery in Hollywood and Weston, FL.
