Was writing a fanfic where Donovan decided to go to Dr. Forger for counseling because Damian almost died it scared him (yes, this was pre106). A major theme was the conflict Twilight goes through debating what to tell Handler.

At that point, Operation Strix had been terminated as Donovan had stepped down from his position as Chairman and even left his position in the Desmond Group amid his son's declining health and was now basically spiralling. There was a story about Anya also being sick, and as a father (now), he was able to relate Donovan on a very personal level and couldn't bring himself to betray him like that.

And this leads to a sort of an identity crisis because here he was being served a plate of dirt that could take down a major player in the war and protect his country and yet here he was playing therapist and actually trying to help them enemy. He's kind of stressed because he thinks his new role as a father has completely softened him, and he was now just an awful spy.

Like one part we get a look into the completely messed up psyche of Donovan, a nice tense scenario where two master manipulators are put in a position where they both have to play a role, and a introspection on Twilight as he re evaluates the impact being Loid Forger has had on him.
