Emmerdale 28.11.24 Part 3

Aaron is with his family (for a change) as Amelia makes them aware that Tom is doing a runner now he's been charged for his abuse of Belle, Cain and Charity head off hoping to intercept him wanting Belle to get her day in court not him to get away with it.

Belle arrives as Charity and Cain break it to her Tom has done a runner but this isn't news to Belle, she tells her family she had an encounter with him and he dished more verbal abuse & threats but she has a surprise in store for Tom.

Belle explains to them all while Tom was ranting & raving, wishing her dead the usual tripe from him, she turned her phone on silent and snuck it into his bag, called the police so they can track him. Now he broke his bail conditions they'll arrest him again.

Tom who thought he'd outsmarted everyone with help from 'Ollie' is caught by the police before he could flee and learns how Belle planted her phone on him as he is carted away, justice finally catching up with him.

The saddest part of Daisy Campbell's interview was her basically confirming what I have feared was happening with Emmerdale for a while. That it's become the Dingle show. She could have referenced any family in the Dales, but she said: "Amelia isn’t part of the Dingles." Which is funny to me because she's the mother of Samson's kid. The fact that the Dingles haven't taken her as one of their own is shit story telling. Wish her the best wherever she lands. However, I think there was a lot more they could have done with Amelia.

Aaron now at the village bonfire, organised by the Dingle's brings out the 'Guy' ready to go on the wood pile for burning, it's noticed by Tom the resemblance to him, Jimmy notices it too!

John arrives at the bonfire, joining Aaron who has now shed his hi-vis jacket, as they look on as Tom is losing his cool at 'the bunch of imbreds' for pulling a 'sick stunt' as to build the Guy to look like him. As the Dingles enjoy his meltdown & the bonfire.

Tom squares up to the Dingle's demanding to know who is responsible for the Guy's resemblance to him, Mandy claims she did it, and what's he gonna do about it? Then Paddy says he did it, as does Sam & Chas before Aaron also claims responsibility.

Aaron tries to antagonise Tom, John says he'll hold Aaron's coat, so he can take on Tom, backing Aaron up as Aaron claims he built the Guy, really wanting a go at Tom trying to provoke him, Paddy tells Aaron to back down as battering Tom isn't going to help Belle is it? As Aaron remarks Tom only hits women!

As the brief standoff between Tom and the Dingle's peters out into nothing in the end, they all look on as the Guy on the bonfire in Tom's likeness is engulfed in flames and Tom takes his anger out on Amelia blaming her for his choice to attend the bonfire.
