Last Monday of the Week 2023-01-09
Back at it again at the [DATA EXPUNGED]
Listening: Vienna Teng, who I encountered in a fancam for industrial society set to Landsailor someone posted on here. Here it is:
youtube
Landsailor is good, Hymn to Breaking Strain vibes but from a more civilian perspective, it also has some great names for shit, my favourite being "lawbreaker" for heat pumps. Absolutely incredible.
Reading: Halfway through Fugitive Telemetry, I forgot I had it after I finished Network Effect and anyway, Network Effect was good but kinda too long to spend with Murderbot, the short story format definitely fits it better. I do like how it opens with a Murder(bot) Mystery.
Watching: Watched Scott Pilgrim vs. The World for the first time. It's fun to watch something that is so very of its time. A lot like Clerks in that I watched it way later but I can imagine that had my friends and I seen it back in high school we'd all have been insufferably quoting it at each other the way we did Pirates of the Caribbean. Being vegan just makes you better than other people.
The material is. Fine, I knew it was a Manic Pixie Dreamgirl-focussed movie but I had somehow not realized it had the whole evil exes thing. The parts are greater than the whole.
Making: Marathon cooking session for my dad's birthday, preparing a large set of meals with the added bonus of not having electricity for two hours in the middle of the day. Turned out fine. Ovens are great for preparing large quantities of food quickly, you can do a lot of prep up front and the oven is pretty predictable.
Playing: Started but have not finished An Airport for Aliens Currently Run By Dogs, a comedy fetch quest game by Xalavier Nelson Jr. et al, which is about maintaining your long distance relationship with your fiance while being the last two humans in the universe by meeting up in various airports (for aliens (currently run by dogs)).
The basic game loop is that you have A Place you need to get to to meet your fiance or a specific dog, and you can do that by getting a ticket and finding your way to the appropriate terminal. But the airport is entirely written in a made up substitution cipher so until you learn that you're trying to get around from context clues in increasingly bizarre airports. You often have to get Things for different dogs to get them to help you and eventually get your flight, so you have to figure out the right chain of stores to go to to get your flight on time.
It's fun, it's not that long as far as I'm aware, and it is a nice little thing to have to do. I've been playing it in the mornings before work pretty often.
Tools and Equipment: Slowly setting up Linux on my new laptop, as previously mentioned AMD hasn't put out sensor fusion hub drivers for these Renoir CPU's so while I am pursuing that, I have to have some way to do tablet things in the meantime. Enter lisgd(1).
lisgd(1) is a gesture recognition daemon that works with touchscreens. You can configure (through a config.def.h or through command line flags) a set of gestures and commands for them to execute. I've now set up gestures to control volume and screen brightness as well as to enable and disable the keyboard and rotate the screen for tablet mode stuff. Between that you can replicate all the things the sensor fusion hub is meant to be doing.
There are other ways to do gesture recognition but this one has good tuning options and is pretty platform agnostic. You can do things like very carefully adjust how long a gesture has to be to be recognized or what deviation from the ideal angle will still be picked up.
I'll probably end up writing or finding a little panel utility that will make brightness and volume control simpler, maybe even include the rotation settings there too, but for now this works well enough. That panel will still get triggered by a gesture, so lisgd(1) is going to be load bearing.

Hey, paid anon, just paid Tainbo again. I understand if this question is out of your wheelhouse, and if the best answer you can give is directing me to a different person. I can't afford to buy completely native when it comes to my food, and don't have the knowledge/confidence to do more foraging than eating known invasives, ex. Himalayan blackberries. What commercially produced foods do the least harm to the land/originate from this land, so that I can at least practice harm reduction?
That is going to be very dependent on where you live, what the natural wildlife is like, if you’re close to a reserve, the soil, etc, so you’ll have to do some research of your own and I can’t really help you with that. Like i don’t know where you live so when you say “this land” I can’t really help you there lol! But, I suggest looking up any local businesses, or alternatively, look around for farmer’s markets, maybe even on any reserves or Native communities nearby. Native people will often bring their goods and foods that they've made themselves to these places, often for a fair, if not cheap price. Pow wows sometimes also have these. However, as it is covid19 procedure, this is harder to do so it's more important to stay safe & there will be less of it.
Agriculture and ecology in general also isn’t necessarily my wheelhouse as you say (I’m just in huge favor of landback and taking care of it, I don’t know THAT much though).
However, the last question I answered is partially the answer. Indigenous lands in Indigenous hands is usually the best way to go, or partnering with them, or consulting them yourself on what might be best. Indigenous led stuff like this often tends to be the least damaging & can promote more sharing of non harmful produce & caretaking of land. I can't really provide any direct advice for you because I'm far away, I don't know where you live (& therefore don't know the context of where you live or the tribe(s) there), and I'm not that big on agricultural knowledge, much less on your location in the US. Funding any possible Indigenous led programs or agricultural efforts could also help:
"Indigenous participants emphasized the need to partner and build relationships with universities and government institutions to support Indigenous agriculture and agricultural land management. While many interactions have been positive, participants reported that institutional structures can often stifle relationship building and progress towards meeting Indigenous-defined goals. The removal of institutional barriers is required to make these partnerships more efficient and equitable.
Improved access to funds that involve Indigenous organizations and communities will better enable development of new areas of research in natural resource management that requires multidisciplinary approaches that extend beyond disciplinary boundaries and require community-based researchers"
-Arcand MM, Bradford L, Worme DF, Strickert GEH, Bear K, Johnston ABD, Wuttunee SM, Gamble A, and Shewfelt D. 2020. Sowing a way towards revitalizing Indigenous agriculture: creating meaning from a forum discussion in Saskatchewan, Canada
However, I'd also generally suggest finding books and readings on Native agriculture and cultivation practices based on where you live and/or a book on Indigenous plants native to that area. Local and traditional flora amd fauna, I think, would be the least damaging.
Maybe @fatehbaz might be able to help? In the meantime I’ll provide you with some helpful links, some of which may be in your price range?
Buy Indigenous food (Canada)

Shameless ~
Yoongi x reader
Tumblr media
Pairing: Yoongi x reader
Genre: Angst, (a lot of it)
Warnings: none
Summary: After coming back from Yoongi's studio heartbroken, you decide to scribble your thoughts down on paper, like you've done so many times. What you didn't know was how that little poem would led to your worst heartbreak yet.
Note: Heyy guys! So i just wanted to say that this one is heavily inspired by @krreader 's fic Jealousy and you can treat it like a sequel to hers (but mine ends in angst too and I've changed a few things up). Like you wouldn't believe how much i cried when i read hers amd i just couldn't not write it!! AnYWaYS, enjoy!!
• • • • • • •
"Can i go? "
"Go wherever you want hyung, why are you asking me??" Namjoon answered as he put on his winter boots to prevent the cold chilly November winds from freezing his feet.
"No i meant...I want to go..to her.." Yoongi's voice was unnaturally small and feeble, contradicting his usual deep tone.
Namjoon jerked up, standing straight suddenly.
"But hyu-"
"Please Namjoon, I know you care deeply for her, and don't want her to get hurt anymore because of me but I just.."
Namjoon instantly started shaking his head no,
"No no hyung, go, all that happened, i know you didn't mean it to." He gave the older man a small smile "I'll let her know."
"NO! No, she, " Yoongi said with wide eyes, "She won't even open the door if she knows it's me."
"Oh right haha lol ok uh.. I won't call her then" Namjoon says fidgeting awkwardly, almost wanting to say something, but when he saw Yoongi looking at the door with a certain amount of longing, mixed with regret, guilt, fear and everything in between, he decided it was worth a shot.
"Hyung, i know you love her," They held eye contact and Namjoon continued, "and if I'm not wrong, she loves you too. And she's been hurting, for long, just like you and even longer, actually. I know I'm younger than you, but i gotta say this. don't fuck it up."
Namjoon looked down for a moment before looking back up with a sincere smile, "Best of luck! Fighting!" and with that, Yoongi left for your apartment without any bodyguards, without anything at all because that was a risk he had to take.
---
You were still in bed, Namjoon had called earlier saying he's coming, and to be honest you actually wanted him to come. You needed someone to talk to, and he was the best person for that. You were completely undercovers, and came out only when it became too difficult to breathe in the carbon dioxide that gathered inside your little blanket-bubble.
It had been two weeks since the breakup, and you had even visited them in the meantime because you were strong, and knew how to keep your emotions in control when in front of others, despite the fact that you were about to breakdown any moment. You had cooped yourself up in your little apartment for way too long and your loving friends, aka members of Bangtan had dragged you back to their apartment, even though they knew it was dangerous considering the fact that the cause of all your pain was right there. But there wasn't much they could do and places they could go because, well, they're like only the biggest boy group on Earth. So you went there, insisting you were fine.
But you weren't.
Realllyy weren't.
But once the question left his lips, you knew it was over for you. This, this facáde was instantly crushed when he asked the question.
You had been playing "Truth and Dare" because no matter how sucky you were feeling, you just couldn't seem to say no to the three pairs of puppy eyes that you received. And that landed you in a somewhat boring, somewhat funny game of Truth and Dare, and even though he was there, you seemed to have fun until he asked you that question.
"Do you love someone else now?" and it was something you never in a million years had expected.
So you sat there, completely dumbfounded, much like the rest of the group, at the question that had left Yoongi's lips. And you just, couldn't do anything.
But shortly, anger bubbled up inside you.
How dare he accuse you of loving someone else when you were literally on the verge of just ripping your heart out? How dare he accuse you like that when he was the one who broke up with you? How dare he ask you that when he hadn't even given you enough time to speak before he started yelling at you that day?? How dare he??
"How dare you?" And that's all that seemed to leave your mouth before you stood up and stumbled out of the dorm with everyone except him calling after you.
Another tear escaped as you remembered the happenings of the day. But before you could wail in your sorrow any more, a bell rung throughout your apartment.
You stood up and walked to the door with tears still decorating your cheeks,
Finally Joon is here.
You felt like you could breath better for a second but all wind was knocked from your lungs when your eyes landed upon the face that stood in front of you.
Yoongi..
With a black mask and cap, and covered completely in winter clothes, there he stood in all his wintery glory, and you still knew it was him despite only his eyes being visible, that too, partly visible.
You felt your heart constrict and your rib cage felt too small now. A brand new bolt of pain jolted up your sides, almost as if physical, and striked your heart with such force you wouldn't be surprised if you had a heart attack then and there. But you didn't, you stood there, watching him, and he stood there ,watching you.
It wasn't until you shivered from the cold winds hitting your body which was bare of any winter clothing, that you jumped back into reality.
"Do you mind if I..." He trailed off, but you moved aside letting him in. He had expected a much harsher reaction, after all, he did throw some extremelt hurtful and lewd accusations at you that day. But he was grateful you didn't close the door in his face, or throw the little dried up potted plant at him. He took that as a good sign, but with you, everything wasn't as simple.
He took off his coat and hung them on the rack beside the shoe cabinet, before pulling off his boots and keeping them aside. Then he followed you into the living room.
"Coffee??" You questioned while preparing some. He wasn't sure if he wanted one, he opened and closed his mouth for a few seconds, and finally settled on a yes.
A few beats passed in complete silence, before you joined him and handed him a simple black coffee and took a seat on the single sofa opposing him.
Another few moments passed
"You still remember," he said motioning to the coffee in his hands
"It's not that hard to remember two ingredients, Suga. Besides, it's been just two weeks."
His heart shattered when you said that, firstly, on hearing 'Suga' instead of the usual 'Yoongs' or 'Yoongles' that you called him, especially because you knew he pretended to hate, but actually loved it. Hell he would've been more happy to be addressed by his full name, Min Yoongi, rather than Suga. And secondly, because of the small and almost inaudible, crack that he heard in your voice towards the end of the sentence.
You still didn't know why exactly you were so calm and not driving him out of your home. It was as if everything stopped mattering for a moment
"Two weeks. Yea," he finally spoke, eyes not quite meeting yours.
A few moments passed in complete and utter silence.
"I didn't know you wrote lyrics too." Ah yes, the song that Namjoon was producing, you had helped him with the lyrics. Not as much as helped actually, you had just randomly written some words and sentences and somehow he noticed it. He said it fit perfectly with the previous verse he had written and asked if he could use the whole poem in his song. You were completely flabbergasted and thought he was kidding, or perhaps pitying you, but after a lot of convincing, he told you he wasn't. And you told him he could, that's why you were in the professional studio in the first place. Another reason why Yoongi misunderstood you, but it was in no way Namjoon's fault. And Yoongi knew that.
"I didn't. It was supposed to be a poem. He saw it by accident." You yourself were pretty surprised at how calm you were.
"But.. I thought i read all your poems..?" his voice had a questioning tone to it.
"You did.. It was recent.." It indeed was recent. Painfully recent. You had written it just the night before, after coming back from Yoongi's studio without even talking to him properly, because he had, and i quote "a shitton of work to do" . Shit ton of work, with her. That completely broke your heart into a million pieces. You thought it couldn't break any further but you were terribly wrong. That was when you wrote it.
The poem was about, well, you guessed it, heartbreak; loneliness. Something about empty bed sides, lost warmth, tear streaked pillows, you couldn't fully remember. Your mind had been hanging like a 2005 Dell Laptop because of all the crying.
"When?"
"That night after i came back from your studio." You smiled a little, even if your insides were aching, "speaking of that, hows the production going?"
"Oh it's.. going well I suppose." He looked immensely intrigued by his cup of coffee,
You again smiled.
"Yea, you looked...quite happy." You took a sip of your own coffee, before looking out the window. Frosty winds were blowing, it was getting darker by the minute. It looked...serene.
But Yoongi was having none of this serenity,
"Happy? What...do you mean?" His voice had a sudden change of colour. But this question had your heart clenching and unclenching at a rapid, unhealthy rate.
"You and Suran." You finally croaked out, "You looked happy..with her. It was.. a sight for sore eyes, really." Earlier, whenever you even remotely thought about this, your eyes turned to waterfalls, but now, they seemed dry of any excessive moisture.
Yoongi was dumbfounded. He and Suran?
"What do you mean me and Suran? I'm just helping her!" He semi-yelled, but you didn't flinch like you did last time.
"I know that."
"But what did you mean by happy... wait...did you think we...oh my god." He slumped down back to his seat, coffee long forgotten on the coffee table.
"Y/n why didn't you tell me that?? Why didn't you tell me what you were feeling?? Why di-"
"I DID!!" You finally broke and yelled out with tears streaming down your eyes for the umpteenth time that day.
"I did tell you!!! I texted you a thousand times!! But you didn't read any of those. I called you a thousand times but i was always directed to voicemail. And the times that you did actually listen to me you had the same excuse every time. 'Im just helping her.' I know that Yoongi, I freaking.know. But what do you expect me to think when you cancelled evey date the past three months?? When the smile that you usually had when you were with me, could only be seen when you were with her?? When the way that you looked at her, the way that you smiled at her, the way that you admired every little thing she did completely resembled the way only a lover would. What did you expect me to do, when i felt like you were her mentor, her idol, her Min yoongi, not my...not my..." You couldn't finish the sentence before you completely bursted out in tears.
And as you sobbed uncontrollably, Yoongi was left to think about what you had said. And as he recalled everything he realized that none of your words were wrong.
The fact that he had ignored you so freaking much despite you being so patient with him hit him like a truck and he started spiralling into a dark deep hole of guilt and regret when you suddenly-
"Leave."
He was shocked back to his senses.
"Y/n wha-"
"I said. Leave. " You said as you stood up on lightly trembling feet and started walking towards the door.
"Y/n just listen to me give me a chance to expl-"
"Did YOU give me a chance to fuckin' explain??!! Did you even let me SPEAK when i was begging in front of you to calm down?! No. So leave."
Your heart was pounding at such an extreme rate that you feared he'd hear it and realize, that he was still your weakness. And you couldn't let that happen.
"Suga. I'm asking you to leave." With a shaking hand you opened the door and stood aside.
"Y/n please jus-"
"Are you that shameless?!"
That effectively shut him up. Just as you expected. As he finally left with a wounded heart, you slammed the door and slid down to the floor, trembling with quiet sobs.
"Are you that shameless?? That you finally resorted to seducing one of my brothers?? What else did you do huh y/n? Did you try your luck with Jungkook too?? Oh and what about Taehyung?!"
"Hyung it isn't what it looks like. Just listen to-" Namjoon spoke, trying to calm him down but to no avail.
"Namjoon just...just stay out of it. I just can't believe she'd do this to me. I can't freaking believe she'd cheat on me with yo-"
"Yoongi stop it!" You yelled while crying as you stood in front of the man you loved and who apparently loved you too.
"Why y/n? Why should i stop?? Just so you can go behind my back again? Just so you can break my heart again? Just so tha-"
"Can you pleeasee just let me speak Yoongi. I was here because -"
"Enough! Enough of your lies! I really can't believe you out of all people would do this to me. We're done y/n. We're freaking done." And with that, he stomped out of the studio, leaving you a crying, heartbroken mess.

Good morning[Vietnam]! Let's discuss the future that is already here, this morning. I've been working on this ARTICLE for about half a day. I'm using my internet-connection to gather/verify information[all of which is available to you/anyone]. I'm NOT using a SmartPhone. Two reasons for this:1)too slow, & 2)my 'collected' information now 'lives' on my hard-drive. I have opened a new online account. https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/ryzen_threadripper This account allows me to post comments/replies, where them EE's is discussin' our 'futures' in BB-forums[some not recently active; only 9 participants have been active recently]. I can also start a new discussion/TOPIC, which is exactly what I have already done. BAIT for honey-bears, that is linked to my e-mail-account, so I will receive a notification, if any bears come sniffing around! YOU can do the same exact honey-baiting at any public forum; choose from hundreds of thousands w/BB's just like this one; WikiPedia is set up the same way; you can open an account there, and start suggesting 'edits' to ARTICLES there, and even write the first-ever ARTICLE, on any subject that they have no 4-1-1 on; >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation If you choose not to register, or you have a conflict of interest but have an idea for a new article with some references, you can create one here and it will be reviewed and considered for publication. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< become a self-proclaimed Professor[the State of Georgia gave me an honorary PhD, when I used one of their online registration 'editors']!; they even INVITE ordinary folks to do just that; if you request the 411 on something they've not heard about before[you can make-up anything at all, & use it as your search-parameter], you will get an INVITATION[but need an account first; they'll gladly guide you through the whole process], and can see what I'm talking about! Now, when I started the research for this ARTICLE, I needed some images for illustration-purposes; for that, I type my search-parameters into Google's search engine, and often without glancing at the return[Google moves all their paying-customers to the top of a very long list; unless you desire to purchase what you just typed-in, you are in deep-doo-doo at Google][I use Yahoo's ask.com, unless I'm shopping for images], I quickly left-click on "IMAGE" above, and up comes a long list of .jpg's; you can visually-scan images a lot faster than you can a list of 'blurbs' from pages you don't need anyway; each photo is 'sourced' from a page, that has a LINK to it; your eye tells you quickly which pages have what you are looking for; these photos are not 'ranked' like the text-returns, but are ranked for closeness to the search-parameters you have entered[a few minor changes to that text, and you quickly have exactly what you need! When examining the photos, of the key-players in the 7nm-lithography business, I kept on seeing two flags[side-by-side] displayed in the background; I grew curious about the frequency of the phenomenon, all over Taiwan/Taipei[two names/two flags]; I started my research on that aspect of the emerging STORY. image from Emirates' aircraft[windows for passengers] The email that Emirates’ Uniform Standards and Development Manager sent out to employees read as follows:
We have been instructed by the Chinese Government that with immediate effect, Emirates airline cabin crew are to follow the One China policy. This means you must remove the Taiwanese flag from your service waistcoat and replace it with the Chinese flag.    This must be followed by all Taiwanese crew without exception.    Additional stock of Chinese flags have been ordered and expected to arrive in the coming weeks. You will receive an email when they arrive. In the meantime carry the attached letter to show your seniors why you are not wearing a flag.
Then Emirates sent a follow-up email to crew members, “after reviewing [their] responses,” acknowledging that the request was “incorrect and inappropriate.” Here’s what that email said:
After reviewing your responses to the email below the original request for you to wear a Chinese flag was incorrect and inappropriate.    Please refrain from wearing your Taiwanese flags on flights until further notice. Therefore no flag is required on your uniform.    I do apologize for any upset that I may have caused.
panda says: May 31, 2017 at 10:07 am
@doublejade Emirates clearly stated China was behind their actions in the emails. Instead of hurling insults you should learn how to read.
The request by Emirates would be like Russia asking a US president to wear their flag… oh wait bad example 🙂
AdamR says: May 31, 2017 at 11:20 am
What bugs me most about this is it comes across that EK is flat out lying about the memo/email. At no point do any of the emails paint the situation with a broad, multi-national brush. It VERY specifically states just the countries of Taiwan and China. If this was really a uniform update, then no countries would be singled-out.
So now they’ve essentially looked like assholes for making the lame requirement in the first place. Then they looked like assholes that don’t know how to properly communicate with their employees and had to retract a previous statement. And now they look like lying assholes that STILL don’t know how to communicate at all, either with their employees or the public. The communications team needs some new leadership and/or expertise. Not to mention how poorly written the emails/memos are from a grammatical standpoint. Robert says: May 31, 2017 at 11:29 am
China is at fault for oppressing a country and EK is at fault for enabling that oppression. Lucky highlights the fact that EK doesn’t even own up to it (who would?). David says: May 31, 2017 at 11:36 am
Taiwan now at least is not a country acknowledged by most of the world’s government. Only part of the people in Taiwan hope to be independent. Cipta says: May 31, 2017 at 11:44 am
Well… a corporate exit has been laid. Sure, Taiwan flag is singled out due China’s pressure. Sure, there is pressure from China government to Emirates or maybe UAE. Sure, Emirates wouldn’t want to lose Chinese market.
So, is China is a bully? Is Taiwanese people/FA are victim here? Its funny to read people’s comments here. Sarcasm were thrown without knowledge of China-Taiwan politics and history. Very funny indeed…. Kevin says: May 31, 2017 at 12:13 pm
@doublejade, your ranting sounds pretty clueless. EK’s Standards and Development Manager’s internal email clearly mentioned “We have been instructed by the Chinese Government that with immediate effect”. If the instruction from Chinese government were not true, EK should have clarified it. But instead, EK used a lousy excuse saying ” This email was sent in error and has since been retracted. The intent is to recall the flag pins worn by all our cabin crew was part of our uniform update.”.
How could such intent result in the original email? And how on earth this excuse proved the instruction from Chinese government was untrue? If Chinese government didn’t interfere at all, how would the manager even mentioned that? The excuse at most simply implied the manager should not have sent out that email to stir the controversy.
Unless somehow you find out their manager was actually lying or his/her account was hacked to send a fake email, it’s very logical to assume Chinese government interference on EK’s business is real. Even if the manager sent out that email by accident, that does not change the fact revealed in the mail.
So to me, Lucky drew his judgement based on what presented there. How did it make him close minded? NOW I'M RESEARCHING MR. 'LUCKY' Without getting any deeper here, into History or Politics, I'll simply say  that the 'flag-controversy' in Taiwan was not news to me; one of the two flags, in so many of those photos, looks an awful-lot-like one of PUTIN's flags! I'll leave it up to my readers to decide; is there cause for alarm here? *** https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/2018/11/22/olympic-referendum-shall-it-be-taiwan-or-chinese-taipei/38584381/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_Formosa https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Taiwanese_flags#/media/File:Flag_of_the_Netherlands.svg  -  click here to see the 'suspect' 'Russian flag' https://www.most.gov.tw/folksonomy/list?menu_id=ab79b892-bd5b-4285-b544-9e6cc9602c83&l=en&view_mode=listView  -  MOST

Episode 3: I really am booboo the fool - Dan
Tumblr media
First off, I want to start off by saying, Nik you will missed. 😭❤️ So, we get our immunity challenge and of course, it’s fucking puzzles. I am AWFUL at puzzles, and I’m just afraid I’m going to let my tribe down. 😔 That’s the last thing I want to do. I don’t want to be the reason we lose, and I don’t want an easy target on my back in the event that we do have to go to tribal.

Ya know what I just love? One of my closest allies going home over T*m and now we have to do a fucking puzzle comp against his ass. I hope and pray his tribe like throws so they can vote him out. Also I love that I have a fucking machete and then FORGOT to go straight and use my machete to hack through the jungle to probably get some sort of reward. I really am booboo the fool
Tumblr media
Well i did my puzzle. I hope we win immunity because this round there hasnt been much talk. So im nervous that I might be left out and can be an easy target. Im nervous amd kinda scared if we lose. I hope im not a target.
Tumblr media
I hate it here.
Tumblr media
Welp, we lost. But not by a lot. My score wasn’t terrible I guess. In this game, I trust Dan and Grace the most with Zach up there too. The fact that Zach is exiled is good I suppose because Dan hinted at possibly wanting to vote him since they never talk. I didn’t like that idea, so I’m glad he’s safe at Exile. I would definitely prefer Chips to be the vote since him and I haven’t spoken, but I’ll go with just about anyone at this point.
Tumblr media
Ok i didn't send this cuz i didnt know if i would be there. Nik should have kept his mouth shut and ryan or gavin would have left which would have looked a lot better for me. Those 2 are gonna gun for me and ill gun for them right back. I'm trying to get on a good side with austin or brandan. Glad we won so i can relax thank god zach is dumb and left lol
Tumblr media
y'all, I might be in a pickle! I feel like i've connected with pretty much everyone on my tribe???? This might be a first for me because I usually let socializing take a back seat to my strategic/physical game, but mama might be onto something here. My worry is that I will spread myself out too thin. the good news is, that people are openly talking game with me and saying names.
Daulton has thrown out Chips, which is a decent option, but not one I really want to pursue at this precise moment. While I trust daulton and want to work with him, I think I need chips here. Chips and I don't always see eye to eye, but we're from the same stomping grounds. there's respect there. Obviously if he's the vote, I'll vote his ass out, but I think I need other options. Keaton seems like someone I want to work with, and also livingston.  They both have expressed interest in working with me, which I love bc I do enjoy talking to them about life and stuff. I am hoping to form a little thing with them. ALSO jessie wants to work with me kljfalksjfa I literally CANNOT yall. I feel like I'm making so many deals but what am I supposed to say to people? NO??? haha Grace seems interested in working with me but she also leaves me on read constantly so i'm not sure about that. I gave josh a heads up he was getting votes last time so I think i'm in good with him as well? not entirely sure. I certainly said his name a lot last round, but I didn't write his name down?? idk if he knows of my involvement haha.
for the most part though, I feel pretty good about this tribal so far, but I'm sure in approximately 20 hours I will be spiraling out of control flkjasldkf
Tumblr media
I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything, but Livingston and I created a 4 person alliance with us two, Grace, and Keaton this round. We all decided that since Livingston’s name was being thrown out there that were should counter it with Chips since his name is also out there. Josh’s name is a choice too apparently and Dan heard his name but not Livingston’s, so maybe Livingston isn’t a target, but just to be sure, we’re voting Chips.  And I got Josh on board as well as Dan I think, so the numbers are there regardless of what Jessie, Maynor, and Chips do. I’ve been subtly pushing for Chips all day by just telling people that I haven’t talked to him as much but not really saying I wanted him gone, and it seems to have worked out somehow that the person I really wanted out is now leaving (or should be). Zach being on Exile sucks because I feel like he’d vote with our 4, but after he returns, we should be able to have him become a 5th for us. We’ll see how this tribal goes though. 🤞🏻
Tumblr media
ooooof. The person I would have liked to vote out this round is on exile, so I love that for me! It's not that I don't like Zach, I just know he's good and a big threat and likable. So if we could have figured something out to get him out that would have been awesome. I think when he comes back i'm gonna message him incessantly to build an ounce of a relationship with him lmao.
But anyway, onto the vote, three names got floated to my knowledge. Those names being livingston (hard no from me), josh v (meh), and chips (pls god yes).  So I was rolling with the josh v vote because it was safe, until miss chips made me mad. I told chips I had heard Josh's name. I did this because chips said he wanted to work with me, which is cool. But when I told him that he said to me "I think I wanna message josh and see what he's being told about the vote" i'm not sure how that convo goes without chips telling him that his name is going around and that it's potentially coming from me. So obviously I went to my main squad alliance of keaton and livingston and filled them in on the tea. In the meantime, I messaged daulton and asked him if he had any updates because he had floated chips' name by me last night and I was hoping to fuel that fire again.  He told me the three names I said above and that he was leaning toward chips. I said cool, sounds good. I don't want to vote josh or livingston, pitched an alliance between myself, josh, and daulton, and now feel pretty secure with most of the people in the tribe, as long as people don't talk and spill too much about their allegiances flkajsdfklajs.
I'm really not trying to play a messy game, I am just trying to be more socailly forward than any other games I've been in, and I really feel like it might be paying off.
-
I don’t fucking like this “please be around after tribal and don’t tell anyone you got this message” thing.... I’m just thinking I’m about to get fucked by a twist

Another update from the withdrawl anon. So I'm still doing pretty bad. I just realized how deoressing all of these updates are, but having someone to tell how I'm feeling helps a lot. The room is still spinning and I'm still nauseous, but I can stand up amd walk better than I could earlier in the week. Maybe things will look up soon. Thanks for listening Gee.
Hi, baby! I’m so sorry I haven’t gotten back to your other asks! I feel terrible for not, but I did read them and you have been in my thoughts and I’ve been sending you so much love. Thank you for being comfortable enough to tell me. I’m so sorry you’re having to go through this! I wish there was more I could do to help you feel better. :’(( Things will get better, I promise. I know it’s so, so, tough in the meantime, but it will be okay again. You’re doing great. Let me know if you need to chat more at all! I love you lots. xx.

Sometimes, It’s Lupus; Sage’s Depressing Results
Sometimes, It’s Lupus; Sage’s Depressing Results:
The Right Prescription for Massive Returns
Today, dear readers, we’re going to cover a topic I just know you all love and adore: biotechnology.
I can hear the groans already … and I get it. All those big scary words that have no real meaning to you at all. It’s like they’re talking about some surreal, otherworldly threat that will never — ever — impact you. So, why would you invest in them?
And that’s really the crux of the problem when it comes to investing in biotech stocks. You invest in what you know and can understand. It’s one of the axioms of investing, after all.
But, let’s be honest … does anyone outside of the industry really know what 7-nanometer microchips are? Or what it means to be able to achieve real-time HD ray-tracing graphics? I’m betting the answer is no, and yet we still invest in Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (Nasdaq: AMD) and Nvidia Corp. (Nasdaq: NVDA).
Getting back to the point, I’m bringing up biotech stocks today because the sector is on a tear. For instance, the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF (NYSE: XBI) is up more than 22% in the past month. By comparison, the S&P 500 Index is up a mere 7.7%.
There are two reasons for this sudden outperformance in biotech stocks:
Increased merger and buyout activity.
A flood of clinical trial data.
We talked about buyouts on Tuesday when Astellas Pharma Inc. (OTC: ALPMY) bought Audentes Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: BOLD) for a whopping $60 per share in cash. It was just the latest blockbuster biotech deal in a long string of buyouts from Big Pharma looking to get into gene therapy and cutting-edge biotech treatments.
Clinical trials are building to a head this week. We have trial data on everything from lupus (sometimes, it is lupus) and depression to Alzheimer’s and heart disease. We’re covering some of that trial data today — and the winners and losers that came out of it a bit later.
So, keep reading.
The Takeaway:
If you’re not convinced yet that you should consider investing in biotech stocks, there’s a couple of other really good reasons to seriously consider the sector.
The first is health care. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services projects that the U.S. will spend nearly $6 trillion on health care costs by 2027. Of that $6 trillion market, biotech spending is expected to grow to more than $775 billion by 2024.
This is a massive market.
Bigger than semiconductors.
Bigger than the cloud.
Bigger than pretty much every popular technology investment you’ve ever been pitched. (So absolutely huge. Gosh, we’re all really impressed down here, I can tell you.)
Keeping with our tech comparison, you don’t need a few extra million pixels on your iPhone display. Is it nice and pretty to look at? Sure. Does it make you go “Ooooh!” and “Aaaaah!” when you look at Great Stuff memes on your phone? Definitely.
But you don’t need it.
However, people truly need biotech solutions. Some diseases don’t respond to current drug treatments. That’s where things like gene therapy come in: specially tailored solutions to very specific health problems. And these problems affect millions and millions of people around the world.
That’s why this is a multitrillion-dollar market. And that should be more than enough incentive for you to start your journey into biotech investing today.
Now, you didn’t think I was just going to leave it at that and throw you to the biotech wolves, did you?
You need a guide. Someone who can help you cut through all the medical jargon and weird drug names. Someone who can identify a real opportunity before the Big Pharma guys move in and start buying everything up.
That someone is Banyan Hill expert Jeff Yastine.
Jeff has all the details on a $450 million biotech company that’s set to soar. And if you act quickly, you can get in on the ground floor … before the Big Pharma firms take notice.

The Good: Sometimes, It Is Lupus
Dr. House might have taken issue with today’s shining star in the biotech sector. (Man, I miss House.)
Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: AUPH) released phase-3 trial results for its experimental lupus medication. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes your body’s defense system to attack its own tissues. (It’s the ultimate “stop hitting yourself” disease.)
The results were very good, with Aurinia’s voclosporin returning statistically significant results in treating lupus. (Breathe. Those were some potentially scary words, but it’s all good. Just think of things like this as anti-virus software for the human body. There. All better, right?)
Aurinia believes that if this treatment gets regulatory approval, its patents will be extended in the U.S., Europe and other key markets through 2027. In other words, Aurinia could get protection from generic versions for quite some time. And that means more revenue.
AUPH shares are up more than 100% today.
The Bad: Depressing Results
One of the problems with investing in biotech and pharmaceutical companies is the volatility that surrounds clinical trial data. Not every pipeline drug or treatment pans out, and there’s no way to confirm which will work without rigorous testing.
Sage Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: SAGE) is a prime example. The biotech’s experimental depression treatment, SAGE-217, missed its key goal in a phase-3 study. In short, the medication did not perform better at treating major depressive disorder than a placebo.
According to Sage, however, SAGE-217 did reduce depression in patients after three, eight and 12 days. The company also noted that about 9% of the trial patients might not have taken the drug.
So, it’s back to the drawing board for SAGE-217. The company still believes in the drug, but it’s going to have some work to do in order to get back to phase-3 testing.
SAGE shares fell more than 60% following the data.
Here we have a prime example of why investors are skittish when it comes to investing in biotech. This is also an excellent example of why you need someone like Banyan Hill expert Jeff Yastine to help guide you.
If you didn’t click the link above to find out more on Jeff’s biotech research, here it is again.
The Ugly: Cut Slack Some Slack
OK, you’re probably burned out on biotech by now. So, here’s some more comfortable tech news for you.
Business tech firm Slack Technologies Inc. (NYSE: WORK) reported better-than-expected earnings and revenue after the close last night. The company swung from a loss of $0.30 per share a year ago to a loss of just $0.02 in the third quarter. Analysts expected a loss of $0.08 per share.
Revenue topped expectations by more than $12 million.
Slack also put fourth-quarter guidance in line with expectations and boosted full-year results well above the consensus estimate.
Things are clearly looking good for Slack, but the stock is down more than 3% following the report.
In this case, Slack is a victim of this year’s overhyped initial public offering (IPO) market. You know, the one that WeWork broke? It also doesn’t help that other big-name IPOs, like Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE: UBER), continue to post billions in losses.
So, when investors see losses like Slack’s, their knee-jerk reaction is now to sell. In Slack’s case, however, the company shows solid growth for a recent IPO — more in line with traditional growth of newly public companies. As such, investors might want to cut Slack a little slack as it continues to ramp up.
You know the drill.
You write in, and I respond. You Marco, I Polo.
It’s Reader Feedback time!
On Tuesday, I posed several questions to get you guys started, and I must say that your collective takes on Peloton Interactive Inc. (Nasdaq: PTON) were a hoot! (Hoot? Just how old is this guy?!)
Great Stuff reader Dan G. had my sides hurting after this reply:
I was watching TV with my 17- and 15-year-old granddaughters. A Peloton ad came on, and I offered a life lesson about gift-giving to a spouse. “Giving fitness equipment as a gift is equal to saying, ‘Honey, you’ve got a fat ass.’” The girls about blew a gasket laughing. Competitors offer similar equipment and services for half the money. Not a workable long-term business plan, no matter how pretty the model and how fancy the workout room.
Tim P. had this to say about Peloton:
No Peloton for my wife! Worst idea ever! I use the YMCA. Very handy and great value.
You know, not many people think about the YMCA. It’s not only fun to stay there — they also have everything for you to enjoy.
Moving on from Peloton, Jim L. shared his thoughts on the Great Stuff Trade War Cycle chart:
The tariff cycle you have reduced to a pictograph is painful but enriching. Long, then short, then long, then short, and on and on.
My take is that Trump learned last night or today that the U.S.’s veto-proof Hong Kong support and the inevitability of impeachment have together motivated the Chinese to stop answering calls and emails. He knows they’ve left the table and won’t be back. His war is unwinnable for him. He’ll be gone one way or the other before it resolves. In the meantime, he’s picking on smaller victims in South America and Europe. No? Prove me wrong.
Carry on, please, your letter is enlightening and light every day. I love it.
It certainly doesn’t look good right at the moment, does it, Jim? As for proving you wrong … let’s throw this out to the Great Stuff comments section.
What do you all think about the current U.S.-China trade situation?

Finally, we have David C. with a little praise for Great Stuff:
I don’t have a rant … today … but I always look forward to Joseph’s illustrious, illuminating and lighthearted take on the day’s investor-oriented news.
Thank you, David! I’m glad my illustrious, lighthearted take can illuminate your day.
Until next time, good trading!

New Post has been published on https://bestnewsmag.com/mozilla-updates-firefox-53-with-these-5-new-features/
Mozilla Updates Firefox 53 with These 5 New Features
Mozilla Firefox was as soon as a dominant player inside the browser international, however ever for the reason that release of Google Chrome, the browser appeared to have lost its sheen. With opposite numbers like Opera, Vivaldi opting for the Chromium manner, Firefox has now grown to be the simplest browser that runs on a one-of-a-kind middle era (other than Safari of course). Now, Mozilla has up to date its browser technologies with the launch of the brand new Firefox 53.
The Firefox fifty-three which was in beta until now comes with some of the cosmetic adjustments too. It now has an alternative for 2 new preset Themes – Compact Mild and Compact Darkish. That Subject matters absolutely trade the appearance and experience of the browser. On permitting this topic, the tabs turn out to be squarish, similar to the only visible in the Microsoft Area.
Pjimage-1-e1492685801328
To activate These new Themes actually head to the f9ef7d9e905d1a4504697a5c6dd610d7 section of your browser and then click on a look. Thereafter pick out any of the 2 Issues – Mild or Darkish – depending on your flavor. Except, you could constantly switch back to the default theme from this add-on section just if you don’t like any of those present Topics.
As noted in advance, the Design adjustments in Firefox 53 is going past the addition of present Topics. The site identity and the permission panels have now been absolutely redesigned to lead them to more visible. While surfing a ton of tabs in your Mozilla Firefox 53 you see a slider cropping up on top that allows scroll among tabs. This feature ensures that more details of the tab are visible thereby supporting you switch among them at ease.
Apart from that, the audio and visible controls have obtained a visible overhaul. They now guide WebM files with alpha, thereby allowing builders to embed motion pictures with transparent historical past onto pages.
Uses a new Quantum Compositor for Progressed Pictures Stability
To improve Stability on Home windows devices, Firefox has started out the usage of a new Quantum Compositor in its new browser. For starters, a compositor is chargeable for portray factors of an internet site to your display screen. the new Quantum Compositor seemingly uses the GPU abilities of your Laptop to offer a fluent surfing experience. It adds a GPU processor to Firefox’s multi-process machine. So any Photos related crashes any longer will now not shut down the entire browser. Mozilla claims that its Quantum Compositor works on computers with Intel, AMD and Nvidia Photographs that are jogging Windows 7 or later. With that said, the MacBooks aren’t using the new Quantum Compositor as Mozilla claims that Apple’s Mac OS offers strong Graphics composting.
Firefox-1024×563
Ditches guide for older Windows and Mac
With the modern-day update, Mozilla has formally introduced that it’s going to ditch aid for the older version of Home windows and Macs. This definitely has something to do with the new core technologies which are being used within the Firefox fifty-three. So customers nevertheless walking on Windows XP, Windows Vista and 32-bit model of Mac OX 10 will not get predominant updates. They are able to but download Firefox 53 ESR to maintain receiving safety updates for yet some other year. Aside from that, the browser may even prevent helping Linux computer systems with Intel Pentium four, AMD Opteron or older chips.
3 Reasons Why Mozilla Firefox Browser Should Be Your Primary Web Browser
Among the top browsers available on the Internet, Mozilla Firefox Browser is the best web browser you can ever download. According to W3schools, a web development site, Mozilla Firefox has been the second most downloaded web browser for the last seven years. It has always been second most popular to the Google Chrome web browser. You may think that this statistic places Google chrome above Firefox, but let’s face it, Google is a much bigger company that spends way more money on marketing and advertising than Mozilla ever would or could.
Having understood the statistics behind Mozilla Firefox, let’s consider why Firefox should be your number one choice when you think about which browser to download. Here are three facts that skyrocket Firefox above everyone else:
Add-ons and customization: The number one reason why many users like myself love Firefox is because of the ability to customize it to run the way you want it to. A favorite add-on of mine is the ability to create and view PDF files within the browser itself. Other web browsers offer customization with extensions as well, but not as excessively as Firefox.
Web Development: As a website developer, I have found Firefox to be the best at allowing me to easily view the HTML and CSS of specific parts of a web page. Users can easily view the page rank, coding, and sometimes even default login information for online accounts that you would otherwise have to sign up for.
Limited bugs and crashes: Many users have agreed that Firefox has much fewer bugs and crashes than other web browsers. It is much more developed in its ability to satisfy a user by providing a solution through an alternative download or update. There is no setting that can’t be changed to suit your needs while browsing the Internet with Firefox.
Now it may be the personal preference that causes you to choose one browser over the other. Maybe it is the ease of use, simplicity, or the speed of your web browser that has made you satisfied with your choice; whether it is Google Chrome, Safari, Internet explorer, or Opera. If you’re looking for an easy way to use the web browser Firefox on PS3, then this article is just for you. Firefox is really the best web browser so I can understand why you want to use it on the PS3 – and this article will show you how. Let’s get into it below and figure out how you can use the browser Firefox on PS3.
How to Install Firefox On PS3
There isn’t a particular version of Firefox for the PS3, so what you have to do instead is actually turn your PS3 into a computer. This might sound technical, bad, or complicated – but I’m sure you will find it really simple once you use good software which automates everything. Instead of it being technical now, you just install a small piece of software and you’re good to go.
Choosing Good Software to Install For Firefox
There’s some great software which you can find online, and a bit of searching for turning your PS3 into a computer will give you tons of results. However, there is also a lot of untrustworthy, and bad software, which really only puts viruses and other adware on your computer. Most of them don’t even work, or outdated – so it’s very, very important that you choose a good one.
Here’s the Best Software I Recommend
PS3 Magic is the top software that I recommend if you want to use Firefox on PS3. Their reviews are great and the track record is superb. The reputation that they have with their existing customers is stellar, so you don’t have anything to worry about. Also, they have the most user-friendly installation which really takes a load off of you having to find out how to install it yourself. You can download it to your computer then transfer that to your PS3.
Why don’t you take a look at this software program? Visit: PS3 Magic [ Download PS3 Magic, and if you want in the meantime you can read through their step by step guide. You probably won’t need it, though, but it’s there just in case. Once you download it you can transfer and install it on your PS3 usually within an hour or two, so by tonight, you’ll have your PS3 turned into a super computer! So, do you want to get Firefox on your PlayStation 3? Today? Right now?

Rain, Life, Love!
It was indeed a tiring journey - from the sweltering heat and nerve binding crowd of Chennai to a small village in Kerala, the god's own country. Maniyaru near Mukkam is my native place. It has always been a favourite place for me. My home, my secure spot, my love, my go to place, a place where no one judged me. The house and ways of Maniyaru are filled with my memories - memories of me playing, eating and all my naughtiness. Those days were so easy to live. No worries, no pressures and people were a lot simpler too. Oh I just forgot to introduce me I m Ananya, people close to me call me Ammu. I m a writer by proffession and I m in the final editing stages of my first book. In the meantime I m doing a phD too in Psychology. I have always been shunned by my family. Never an average girl who mingles, I was always the odd one out. My cousins found happiness in gossips and makeup while I found happiness in nature, writing and reading. And another point to taunt me constantly is my being plump. I mean I atleast won't fly away when there is a storm. I just don't actually get 'if-you-are-fat-you-won't-get-a-good-husband' point. I mean I know a whole lot of people who are fat and are happily married and also know a lot of people who are stick thin and have problems in their married life. I mean what logic. Any way this is me and my life. I just came down to our ancestral home in Maniyaru because my mom has been constantly torturing me to see this one particular guy who is also in Chennai in some MNC. I actually hate guys who do such mainstream courses. I mean it is well and good if they like that. Half of them do it because of family pressure. A guy who can't stand for his passion, can never love me or accept me. That is my logic. I actually have no interest in marriage as such. And my mom just doesn't get my point. So to drive the point home straight, I just ran away from home! So I don't need to see this guy amd I also can finish my editing work in peace. So I caught a train to Calicut and reached Maniyaru by 6 in the evening. It was all cloudy when I reached. I had to have a quick shower before I could eat anything. So I had a shower and decided to go to Kuttan Chettan's thattukada to have a special chaya and dosa. As I was stepping out, it started raining. What started off as a small shower, started getting fiercer and fiercer. The electricity went off too. Though I was a little scared, with no one to go to, I had to put up a brave face. It was after what felt like a decade that the current came and I saw the time, it was 10. The shops will be closed and nothing to eat, I raided my bag to find a bag of chips and cream bun. Thanking my stars and ever hungry stomach, I gobbled them up. It is then that there was a constant thump on the front door. I was a little freaked out because no one should ideally be knocking now. It was a closed down house and no one knew I m here. I went and peeped through the window. I was in for a surprise. A handsome guy, probably in his mid 20s, with a camera was standing there, shivering. He was wet and had his camera hidden in his jacket so that it's not wet. He was cute. I opened the front door to see the wet guy, shaking terribly. I had him sit in the front, brought a bottle of hot water, a fresh towel and old clothes of my dad that grandma always stocked. He had a nice wipedown and changed into my dad's clothes. He looked kind of cuddly in my dad's over sized shirt and mundu. He wiped his camera and switched it on. To my shock, the footage had me. I mean it was fully me. I was furious and asked him to get out. I didn't wanna hear anything. It was humiliating to think that some random guy had shot me through the whole evening, without my knowledge. He knew my frustrations and asked me to sit down. I was beyond furious and felt like ripping apart his handsome face, to just bite those lips and to just squeeze him to death. Though I was frustrated I just couldn't deny the fact that the guy was a catch - a perfect guy! But no, I m not supposed to look at his beauty, how dare he shoot me. He made me sit down and started explaining that he saw me in the bus to Mukkam when he was on his way to his hometown from Calicut. He was looking out for a girl for the lead role of his first film. He saw me and thought I was perfect. That is why he shot me to show his producers for them to approve. I was angry till then but then he began telling me sorry in the most cutest way possible. Like a puppy. If I had enough guts, I would have just kissed him then. He was an archangel, he was cute, he was so so so so perfect. He had these creamy chocolate brown eyes that anyone can mistake for chocolates. He had a one day one stubble that gave him a cute ragged look. He sported a moustach that he touched every now and then. I had to restarin myself from touching them myself. It was so inviting. He had this perfect sikh bangle in his hand that set off his rugged look. I felt like I could just kiss him to death, then and there. He looked near perfect, like live from a fairy tale. I had to tear my eyes from his eyes as I was just drowning myself in his eyes. Meanwhile he was telling how he was trying to go back when it started raining. There was no house nearby and he had no option but to come to my home. Poor thing. But the fact that he found me interesting was good enough for me. I don't know, till then I wasn't interested in marriage but now I m. May be this is an infactuation but I liked the feeling. May be this is all gonna go away in the morning when he is gone. May be I will forget him in the long run. But what if he is the one. There were a thousand negative thoughts running in my mind. But just one thought that maybe he is the one destined for me, made my day and I wanted to know more about him. But first I wanted to know his name. I had given him the remaining chips and bun. He ate them amd thanked me - 'thanks Ananya'. He knew my name. Wow. My name sounded so different in his voice. It was like my name was just made for him to say. It fitted perfectly. Eventhough I wanted to know how he knew my name, I didn't wanna be a paranoid in front of him. I guessed I could have mentioned it somewhere when he was following me. As this was my opportunity I asked him his name - AARAV. Though it was stupid I silently said my name with his name. It sounded so good to my ears - Mrs.Ananya Aarav. Wow. I was smiling stupidly and he asked me what I was thinking. I just snapped back to reality. Shit what was I dreaming - I m so stupid. I just looked at him closely and saw a small mole on his lips. Goddd they were irresistable. Like how cute can a guy get. He has just swept his fingers through his hair. They felt silky. I just had to touch them, ruffle them and play with them. God how I wish this guy was mine and how I wish he felt the same for me too. I mean I just saw this guy and I don't even know him properly and here I m pretending as if he is my life partner, head over heals in love. May be that's what love is. May be this isn't love at all. May be this is why we call love blind. Gosh, I m so stupid. I m not just able to stop my racing mind and brain. STOP. He was fed and was warm. He started talking about his profession. He started telling me details about his work. He told me how it wasn't so easy following passion and how it was tiring and how he almost gave up, how he got to his position and all that. He said that he had to work in an MNC to satisfy his parents and how left out he felt there. How difficult it was for him to adjust and how he started pursuing his passion even with a job in hand. My respect for him increased. A guy with passion, a guy who chases it - perfect for me. But I really don't think he has any feelings for me. God how heartbroken I was feeling even when he wasn't even mine. Stupid me! When he was speaking, he encouraged me to talk too. The best part is that he was someone who had the patience to hear me out. He asked me about my profession. He asked me how my book was doing. He asked me about my family. We almost had same wavelength. I didn't feel the need to express anything, Aarav got it even without me saying. He encouraged me to follow my desire and wished me luck with my book. Half night passed away in our talks. Both of us were tired. Like a true gentleman he is, he slept outside my room and did not even ask me for a blanket, not to make me more embarassed. I fell in love over and over again that night! I found a friend, a friend forever and was unsure of my love. I did not want to intimidate him. I don't even know his feelings towards me, I did not even know my feelings. With a turmoil in my mind, I drifted off to sleep. I suddenly got up in the wee hours of morning. I stepped out and saw Aarav asleep. That was the most perfect thing one could see. He was vulnerable to the core yet I felt safe. I just felt like cupping his face and showering them with kisses. I just imagined a morning when I will have him all to myself, when I would know he is all mine. A morning when I can awaken him with my morning kisses, a morning that will have me safe in his arms! I slept off near him at some point, holding his hand. I was awakened the next morning with a rude thump. I got up and saw my mom. I was shocked that I wasn't in my room. But before arguing, I ran outside to see Aarav. My mom came and asked where Aarav was. I was shocked she knew Aarav. Aarav came at that time from a room, putting on a white tshirt and a jeans, looking dashing. If mom wasn't there I would have kissed him. But I had to sort things out as of now! Aarav told me that he was the guy mom had fixed for me. He heard that I refused to see him. My mom told him about Maniyaru house and that it was where probably I had escaped to. It is then that everything fell in place. How come I did not think about why no calls came from home, as they would be searcbing for me. Aarav was out searching for me and almost knew where I was. So why call me? Yes I m an idiot of number one order. I fell in love with the same guy I didn' t wanna meet. Life is strange. Life is a little unfair. Life is so full of love. We married a year and a half after our first meeting. Aarav is always there beside me in all my endeavours and my third book is going to come out soon and I m still plump and eat a lot but Aarav loves me the same. Aarav is still walking around with camera and is working for a start up now. He has a lot of time in his hand to follow his passion, but I don't let him follow random girls anymore! My mom and dad are happy and Aarav's parents are also happy. Life is beautiful - no matter what, no matter where you are in life, Life will be good. Life will be beautiful. Life will give you love. It is just that when it comes knocking, just let it flow through you. It will change you for the good like how it changed me!!!! **Note- Though Ananya has a lot of traits like me, this is purely fictional. No part of this has happened, ever!!!!**

VR reality, one 12 months out: What went proper, what did not
After years of teases, tantalizing guarantees, and Kickstarter campaigns, digital actuality lastly turned precise actuality in 2016, with VR’s mere existence thrusting the whole PC trade into wonderful, great turmoil. Regardless of being round for only a handful of months, digital actuality has already impressed completely new genres of computer systems, wormed its approach deep into Home windows, and despatched the worth of graphics playing cards plummeting.
Not too shabby for VR’s first actual 12 months on the streets, although the implementations may nonetheless use some fine-tuning. Let’s look again at how this wild new frontier blossomed in 2016.
The delivery of client VR Headsets
From the very begin of 2016 it was clear that the daybreak of correct PC-powered VR had arrived. You can see proof of this reality throughout CES 2016 in January, the place EVGA launched a specialised graphics card designed to suit VR headset ergonomics; Nvidia rolled out a VR certification program; and seemingly each sales space boasted some form of virtual-reality hook, from VR treadmills to VR porn and VR Everest climbs (the latter two being mind-blowing in their very own methods).
Tumblr media
[ Further reading: Your new PC needs these 15 free, excellent programs ] The PC world was prepared. However digital actuality itself wasn’t, not less than till the Oculus Rift’s large client launch later that spring.
Nicely, large in principle. Whereas PCWorld praised the Oculus Rift in its overview—digital actuality was right here, and it was magical!—the launch was removed from excellent. The rumbling started within the run-up to the headset’s launch, with Rift’s $600 launch value far exceeding the $250 to $500 vary that Oculus higher-ups had teased repeatedly. As soon as it really launched, the headset was stricken byshortages and important cargo delays, which didn’t go over effectively in any respect.
However the largest downside for the Rift was that even at launch its days already felt numbered—not a vibe you need from $600 . The Rift was designed primarily as a seated VR expertise, with a controller in your arms. By the point it launched on March 28, lovers and trade press had already hung out taking part in with the SteamVR-powered HTC Vive, which used made-for-VR controllers and devoted monitoring stations to allow room-scale VR experiences that allow you to wander round and really contact issues. After making an attempt Vive, going again to the Rift’s sedentary expertise felt far much less satisfying.
And the HTC/Valve duo didn’t waste any time capitalizing on its benefit. The HTC Vive launched on April 5, roughly every week after the Oculus Rift, and instantly seized the crown as PCWorld’s most well-liked VR resolution.
Regardless of that, we advocate passing on the Rift and the Vive, and for superb motive. Whereas VR will be nothing in need of awe-inspiring, these first-gen merchandise even have some apparent flaws.
Tumblr media
Costs and PCs
Man, VR Headsets are costly.
That’s to be anticipated with bleeding-edge , however $600 for the Oculus Rift or $800 for the HTC Vive places them firmly within the “one %” class. The latest launch of Oculus’s $200 Contact controllers drove the price of a full Rift setup to the Vive’s stage, or much more if you'd like kinda-sorta room-scale experiences and wish an additional sensor. VR experiences are usually high-priced and comparatively short-lived in comparison with conventional PC video games. This isn't an inexpensive pastime.
That priciness was exacerbated by the necessity to join these headsets to a reasonably highly effective PC—that value of which was roughly $1,000 to $1,500 on the time of the headsets' launch. Luckily, whereas the Vive and Rift themselves have stayed on the identical lofty costs, the price of a pc to run them completely plunged because the 12 months carried on.
The plunge started with the launch of AMD’s Radeon RX 480, which revolutionized what’s attainable with a $200 graphics card. Earlier than its launch, VR-capable graphics playing cards value practically twice that quantity. (Nvidia shortly adopted go well with with the $250 GeForce GTX 1060.) Leaping ahead two full technological generations paid main dividends for graphics playing cards.
Tumblr media
Software program methods helped democratize VR simply as a lot. On the Oculus Join convention in October, the corporate revealed a brand new function dubbed “Asynchronous Spacewarp” that used technical methods to drive the barrier to entry for Rift VR approach, approach down—all the best way to an AMD AM4 or Intel Core i3-6100 processor, and a GeForce GTX 960 graphics card. In March, a Rift-ready PC value not less than $1,000; after Oculus Join, Rift-ready PCs began at $500, and as I write this there’s a Finest Purchase promotion providing a full PC and the Rift itself for $999.
Scorching rattling, costs plunged quick. And one other pesky PC VR downside is already in all people’s sights.
Wired woes
The HTC Vive and Oculus Rift each drive very high-fidelity gaming experiences, and headsets must be bodily tethered to your PC to be able to work. That form of sucks. It’s all too straightforward to journey over the thick cables when you’re wandering across the room ensconced in a digital world, or to twist and switch a lot that the twine ultimately jerks your head again.
That (typically literal) headache impressed the delivery of an entire new class of gaming PCs—ones that you just put on in your again. You’re nonetheless wired up, certain, however these wires journey with you rather than getting tangled between your ft. Zotac, MSI, Alienware, and HP have all revealed backpack PCs of varied designs, although none have really hit the road but.
As nifty as they're, nonetheless, backpack PCs really feel like a stopgap resolution—a repair to an issue that can disappear when extra sturdy wi-fi show applied sciences or stronger cell graphics arrive. And you may already see that wi-fi future on the horizon, with Oculus testing a completely self-contained cell Rift prototype pictured above and HTC backing a $220 add-on equipment that makes the Vive wi-fi.
Tumblr media
Past PCs
Whereas highly effective PC-based VR experiences could also be tethered, the extra modest world of phone-driven cell VR has already left cords far behind.
Samsung’s Gear VR headset (which solely works with Samsung Galaxy telephones) blazed the Android VR path, whereas Google’s low-cost Cardboard introduced it to the plenty. In late 2016 Google stomped into the Gear VR’s turf with Daydream VR, an Android-centric initiative that brings premium cell VR to the whole ecosystem slightly than Samsung’s telephones alone.
Daydream facilities on a trio of pillars: highly effective telephones, Daydream VR headsets, and Android Nougat’s new VR options. Whereas Google’s personal Daydream View headset and Pixel cellphone kicked off this system, Daydream isn’t its alone. HTC, LG, Xiaomi, Huawei, ZTE, Asus, Alcatel, Lenovo, and sure, even Samsung have pledged to create Daydream cell gadgets.
Microsoft’s HoloLens is form of a mixture of PC and cell VR, whereas additionally a unique beast totally. It’s a conveyable, absolutely self-contained system that doesn’t want to connect with a PC, however HoloLens makes use of augmented actuality, not digital actuality. Digital actuality plops you in absolutely realized digital worlds; augmented actuality, because the title implies, augments the actual world with overlaid objects, akin to a Minecraft world sprouting out of your espresso desk or a Skype video chat showing in your wall.
Microsoft nonetheless hasn’t revealed particulars about when (or if) HoloLens will likely be accessible to client customers, or how a lot it will value, however deep-pocketed builders and enterprise customers can already decide up the headset for a cool $three,000.
The longer term
Expensive HoloLens headset aren’t Microsoft’s solely foray into VR. The huge Home windows 10 Creators Replace subsequent spring will bake augmented actuality options a lot, way more deeply into the flagship PC working system, and it’ll be accompanied by a military of latest Home windows 10 VR headsets at launch—headsets that can begin at simply $300 and run on surprisingly modest PCs. In the meantime, Intel and Microsoft’s Challenge Evo partnership goals to vary how computer systems “assume, see, and listen to,” with a particular objective of driving combined actuality ahead.
If 2016 was delivery of a virtual-reality revolution, search for 2017 to be a 12 months of VR refinement. Witness the brand new, Oculus Contact-esque Vive controllers that Valve already started to tease, and bookmark the vacation 2017 launch of Microsoft’s highly effective Xbox Scorpio console—which may very probably leverage the Home windows 10 Creators Replace to run the Oculus Rift or Home windows 10 VR headsets as a counter to Sony’s surprisingly okay PlayStation VR.
Subsequent 12 months, VR video games ought to solely get higher as builders acquire extra expertise... if they'll navigate the difficult world of client expectations and uncover what individuals actually need from the medium, that's. The price of VR-capable PCs will solely maintain taking place. Anticipate augmented actuality to proceed making inroads in automotive tech. The Vive and Rift could even get value cuts! Heck, with sufficient advances, 2017 could be the 12 months PCWorld formally recommends you purchase a VR headset.

TECHNOPHOBES  TAKE  NOTE!
I have opened a new online account.
https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/ryzen_threadripper
This account allows me to post comments/replies, where them EE's is discussin' our 'futures' in BB-forums[some not recently active; only 9 participants have been active recently]. I can also start a new discussion/TOPIC, which is exactly what I have already done. BAIT for honey-bears, that is linked to my e-mail-account, so I will receive a notification, if any bears come sniffing around!
YOU can do the same exact honey-baiting at any public forum; choose from hundreds of thousands w/BB's just like this one; WikiPedia is set up the same way; you can open an account there, and start suggesting 'edits' to ARTICLES there, and even write the first-ever ARTICLE, on any subject that they have no 4-1-1 on; >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation
If you choose not to register, or you have a conflict of interest but have an idea for a new article with some references, you can create one here and it will be reviewed and considered for publication. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< become a self-proclaimed Professor[the State of Georgia gave me an honorary PhD, when I used one of their online registration 'editors']!; they even INVITE ordinary folks to do just that; if you request the 411 on something they've not heard about before[you can make-up anything at all, & use it as your search-parameter], you will get an INVITATION[but need an account first; they'll gladly guide you through the whole process], and can see what I'm talking about!
You will see below, what turned-up.
Only three semiconductor foundries are currently working on a 7nm process: Intel, Samsung and TSMC.

Welcome to the space/time 'present[2019],' where the G-5 network is coming to appliances near you!

Linux added initial support for Zen starting with Linux Kernel 4.10.
https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/cores/pinnacle_ridge
Pinnacle Ridge processors are a refresh of Summit Ridge, fabricated on an enhanced process in order to provide a modest frequency bump. Those processors are a complete system on a chip with both the northbridge and southbridge on-die. Pinnacle Ridge chips offer 16 PCIe lanes (generally for the GPU) along with four additional 4 PCIe lanes for SATA and four USB 3.0 links. Those processors use Socket AM4 and can be extended in functionality with the Socket AM4 chipset which provides support for additional resources (i.e., more PCIe lanes and USB ports).
Intel Corporation is an American semiconductor company. While most notably known for their development of microprocessors and x86, Intel also designs and manufactures other integrated circuits including flash memory, network interface controllers, GPUs, chipsets, motherboards, and computers. In addition to x86, Intel used to also design and manufacture ARM-based chips as well as embed ARC-based cores in their products. While they no longer sell such chips, they still use ARM processors in various products (e.g. in their FPGAs) as well as still retain full a architectural level ARM license allowing them to design and sell their own ARM devices should they wish to.
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. is a South Korean multinational electronics conglomerate owned by Samsung Group and accounting for roughly 75% of the group's revenue. Samsung is a major manufacturer of electronic products such as microprocessors, flash memory, and many other integrated circuits. Samsung is also the world's largest manufacturer of mobile phones, tablets, and televisions. On May, 2013 Samsung sold off its S3 families of 4-bit and 8-bit microcontrollers to Ixys, parent of Zilog for $50M.

The email that Emirates’ Uniform Standards and Development Manager sent out to employees read as follows:
'LUCKY'
Without getting any deeper here, into History or Politics, I'll simply say  that the 'flag-controversy' in Taiwan was not news to me; one of the two flags, in so many of those photos, looks an awful-lot-like one of PUTIN's flags! I'll leave it up to my readers to decide; is there cause for alarm here? *** https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/2018/11/22/olympic-referendum-shall-it-be-taiwan-or-chinese-taipei/38584381/
