this is literally one of my favorite panels of the war arc.

i am OBSESSED with deku’s perception of romance and how it’s probably based off popular melodramas and his peers’ stories about their dates.

because you can’t argue with me that that’s the reason why he will have no idea his and katsuki’s relationship is so close to romantic. i’m so sure he’s gonna be the last one to realise his feelings for katsuki aren’t purely friendly and platonic. the guy will be like “oh yeah we’re really close and i care about him deeply and i hate the very thought of him being hurt and i wanna spend the rest of my life next to kacchan but haha that’s just our friendship! we’re not holding hands and sharing crepes so there are no romantic feelings involved🥰”

AWH... I'm skipping through Roier's QSMP Day 1 VOD because I'm looking for a specific thing, and I just noticed that when Jaiden stands in front of the group to do her introduction and her mic isn't working, Mariana laughs (not in a mean way, I laughed too) and Roier immediately smacks him and tells him off for laughing.

It's such a little thing, but I think it's really sweet in retrospect, especially considering how Roier and Jaiden have become such good friends in recent weeks :')

#one (1) ship im interested in and its being overshadowed by another entirely nonsensical ship too #but in general. UGH #i get obsessed with two characters bc i love their interactions and relationship and maybe they way theyve come to care about each other #and then all the posts (and fics) i see are like 'oh they should kiss lol' NO!! Bones is kinda strange because they sometimes put IZCH stuff but they sometimes just take it away. Like the way they pretty much erased an entire panel (which involves Izuku) in Ochako's fight with Toga in this season (which was kinda hilarious of them ngl). So I dont think they specifically care much for IZCH, they just wanted to pander because they are a company but because mainly, I think they legit thought the ship would go canon.

its because there are always changes in who is in charge too -there has been many many directors for the anime, I believe the one for season 7 came back, directing previously the first seasons. The end is way more clear now to them, and theres no actual reason to push a pair that doesnt sell for fan service, and wont be part of the finale -for marketing and storytelling reasons, it doesnt make sense to keep it.

Everyone thought for a long time that ship would be canon, most ppl were neutral about it and accepting it, or criticized the way Ochako's character was handled as just a girl in love with a boy, while Izuku wouldnt need to do any self reflection about his feelings for her or dedicate any of his time in it -and still end together.

Focusing on Himiko and her heroic goals and philosophy is much better honestly, like yeah she liked him but she isnt about that anymore; the question about who saves heroes is important for the story, and the answer is clear: everyone they saved.

#grrr talking #ofc her getting more focus on her training her bond with her mentors and her friendships and family would have been amazing #but the expectations for her were really low #and now we have her being all sapphic we love you queen

I love stories that are love stories but aren’t about romantic love!!!!!!!!! even if they contain romantic love it’s not the focus!!! and love for friends and community and strangers is shown as valuable and worthwhile!!!

#dynamics between all of the characters are absolutely top tier #shawn and gus? an amazing platonic friendship that starts when they were children and extends well into their adult life #lassiter and juliet? a perfect bond between two coworkers who quite literally their lives in each others hands almost every day #and SPOILERS yeah shawn gets with juliet BUT ITS NOT THE ABSOLUTE MAIN FOCUS #there are maybe a few episodes that do feel a bit centered around their romance. but stillll #go watch psych #there's a post floating around here somewhere about how Psych straight up said 'friendship is the most important thing actually'#anyways rant over #go watch psych. please.

bro you have no idea how happy i’m going to be when ben and winona become besties again, ben and xander mend their rift and become an iconic duo, the girl squad all turns 18 and starts moving out and living their lives, and all the younger kids + easton and jesse become a friend group. lowkey this might end up being my favorite era of all the next gen books im so excited

#because yes some of my all time favorite characters / couples are in the like us timeline #notably marrow and luna and sulli #but their group always felt forced esp with the addition of the bodyguards #like the cousins were all a pretty good friend group #nowhere near core six / eight levels obviously but pretty decent and cute #but then the bodyguards were more of their own friend group and it never felt like they all got together #all the couples would hang out separately but then it was awkward when everyone was together #and the cobalts are amazing of course but they are for sure more siblings vibes than friend group vibes #as opposed to the younger kids who are the only true FRIENDS in the series #they have so much more to bond over and are the only ones who actually hang out in bigger groups on a regular basis #even their few failed attempts at parties show their desire to hang out together #the older cousins NEVER did anything like that #and it’s just bc they were too different in terms of ages and personalities #the younger kids are finally going to deliver #we haven’t had a friend group like the younger kids since the bodyguards lowkey #bc those are the only groups that actually CHOOSE to be friends and aren’t just family that hangs out due to proximity #just like how the core six is technically family but when they’re together it FEELS more like friendship in the way they interact #when we read kinney’s scenes about the younger girls it has that friendship feel unlike the like us group which is more like family imo #mine #like us series #cobalt empire series #i fear i’ll be waiting a long time to see this day BUT IM WILLING TO WAIT DECADES FOR THIS PAY OFF #also unrelated but while we’re here talking about it winonajesse is going to EATTTTTTTT im so excited

God importance of food in HUNGER Games is such amazing aspect of the books and shows the mentality of both Katniss AND Snow.

Coriolanus learns that food is power. He sees Nero Prize cutting off maid's leg to eat it. He sees what tributes will do for food. He knows what Lucy Gray did for food. He knows what he would do for food.

In his eyes food is a luxury and ultimate means of manipulation. That's why there is a tessare system, that's why there are monthly packages for the winning districts, that's why Games are a yearly public spectacle in the Capitol. He keeps districts hungry for food and Capitol hungry for entertainment.

Katniss learns that food is love. It starts with Peeta throwing her the burned loaf of bread. Then goes further into her love for Prim, which is the main cause of her hunting. Then with Gale as her hunting partner. Then with Madge who is her best friend and loves strawberries. Then with Mr. Mellark who loves squirrels. Then with Rue and bread from District 11. Then with Peeta again, with the berries.

Katniss doesn't use the power of food over people. She shares it. That's how she builds connections, forms friendships, wins over people's hearts, starts and wins revolutions.

For Snow food it a tool with which you can sew starvation and chaos.

For Katniss food is a tool with which you can form bonds and find peace.

romance repulsed aros and romance favourable aros are both cool and valid but because i never see anything about us: shoutout to romance indifferent aros. romance neutral aros. aros who just couldn't care less. aros who have a conflicted relationship with romance. aros who are fine with romance in some contexts but not in others. aros who don't mind romance when it's not amatonormativity being shoved down their throats. aros who haven't yet figured out their feelings about romance. aros to whom romance is Just Something That Exists. y'all are rad as hell and it's okay not to 'pick a side'!!

#I’m an aro who is heavily indifferent about romance except for when it comes to our beloved Freya because we love her as both a friend #and as a lover.#there’s a saying we like to go by that we picked up on from one of our favorite songs #“Kiss whoever makes you feel sound but it takes time man to figure it all out”#AND WE STRONGLY STAND BY THAT.#We’ve been through so many relationships that romance isn’t really a thing anymore to us because of trauma and abuse.
