B I G N E W S !

I've made an art book and the Kickstarter is about to launch! It has writing, illustrations, and comics similar to this one! It's called Waving at Airplanes and it's probably the largest project I've ever done (I'm quite proud of it).

The book will also include this comic, this one, plus this, and this - AND 6 additional, never-before-seen comics/illustrations! So if you happen to like those comics, it would mean a lot if you considered getting the book! You can check out the Kickstarter page here!

Since the artwork is already done, the Kickstarter is really just a pre-order (to cover the cost of having the books printed and shipped). It launches on 9/9/2024 and will last 4 weeks!

FINALLY FINISHED!

I have a few days off and even more importantly - a great desire to draw! So, before starting a ton new scribbles, I just had to finish this poor thing that me took way too long!

The background was made using a regular 2B and 4B pencils so that it isn't as bright as the main figure - I heavily relied on smudging the lines to achieve the desired effect. It wasn't part of the original plan and that's why I wanted it to be as vague as possible (it was directly inspired by the original album artwork cause my other ideas didn't seem to fit that well).

I purposefully changed Jolee's face features a bit to my liking (fortunately, overall she looks way better in the finished version than in the sketch 😄) and played around a lot with the dress. The latter was especially fun, if you don't count blending the raven feathers with the cloth...😅

Probably will make some extra fixes in the future if I come to not quite like it as much as I do right now, but hey, that's part of the job!
