ALKALOID at the Ensemble Stars!! Cast Live - Starry Symphony 3rd - the midnight sun- live event (June 2024)

In his YouTube livestream, Masatomo Nakazawa talked about his slipping at the time of Kiss of Life song performance. He hurt his butt, but quickly got up to catch up with his members. He even did the cartwheeling from one hand to assure everyone and the audience that he was 'okay' for the time being. Fans were surprised of his stunt.

But, actually, he was angry, upset with himself that he broke the formation of the group dance and the mood.

You can see him here, that he was controlling his frustrated look. Before this ES event took place, he was already suffering from dry sore cough and waist strain. So he was overall, not satisfied with himself for the final days of June.

Event Name: Talking Stand Morinoth (Morikubo and Amasaki's talk show)

Rough Translation:  { Key: E = Enojun, M = Morikubo, A = Amasaki }

E: When do you feel happiest or when you have the most fun?  M: You’re asking us (as the guest)? On the other hand, what about you? When do you feel the most fun, other than when you’re working?  E: What time's the most fun… I wonder what it is…Well, somewhat… M: You don’t drink alcohol either do you?  E: Well, I have the most fun when I’m sleeping maybe.  M, A: When you’re sleeping?! E: Like a (refreshing) 15-minute nap, something like that– Ah, but I’m not conscious at that time.  A: Is that really "fun"? E: Ahh that’s not really “fun” is it… Ah but–I’m not a huge movie buff–but I do enjoy going to the cinema alone. You can momentarily forget about everything while you’re in there. 

Revealed Facts:

Enojun's Personal interests: 

- is into movies like "Back to the Future", "Drive My Car"; and director Yasujiro Ozu’s works  - loves ramen, but is worried about calories (in Yuuma's radio show he brings up his worries about becoming fatter with age too) - doesn’t drink alcohol  - wanted to be a basketball athlete as a kid - likes teaching children, would read manga and watch shows for children to learn from them - [when teased, Enojun: "I'm not a lolicon!"] - studied to be a teacher for children in university; but pursued a path in the entertainment industry during his second year - would love to have kids eventually, but also values his alone time [Morikubo: “Choose one side already!] - loves theatre and acting till now (prefers acting in smaller and more compact theatres) - doesn’t care much about earning lots of money; more focused on life fulfilment 

2. In his youth: 

- was in Kendo and Baseball clubs - used to collect Yugi-Oh cards in primary school (gave them all away now to children who were interested)  - parents used to tease that his older brother is the good child, so Enojun must be the "bad kid" 

3. As a voice actor: 

- told his parents he would become seiyuu in 3 years (made it just in time with a regular role in Beyblade) - originally planned to be an actor, but felt that he won't measure up physically (being a seiyuu was a much more possible option to him)  - used to practice lines from manga during his free time at the convenience store he was part-timing at (and felt embarrassed by it)  - likes the challenge of trying to nail a role (esp at the start when everything is uncertain, and there's potential for everything)  - interested in pursuing a career in cinema, but not right now - praised by Morikubo as being "true neutral" -- he is able to adapt to anything/any side with ease - has thought about quitting as a seiyuu before; if it becomes a "boring" job  - would become an Explorer/Adventurer if he quits -- Amasaki  & Morikubo fully support this venture - The three of them now have plans to go camping + the director teased for them to release an "Adventure DVD" [ngl I'd watch that]

This is from Makonyan's event. Yep, I screamed, cried and ran around the room while watching this game corner snippet that I've found. Then I was grinning like mad while making those gifs~

The second half of the gifs is from a game where Yukke played an alien. At one point they asked him what color his pants were, so he checked xD Then Ama-chan asked if he wore pants at all xD

And while Makonyan was giving him that massage (that absolutely RUINED me), he asked him, again, while whispering in his ear, what color his pants were, and Yukke replied that he'll tell him later. *_____* (that was an NG game, so Yukke's NG word was 'color' so they tried making him saying that word, but I think he realized and didn't fall for that xD)

Thing is that, Masatomo-san looked soooo amazing in the costumes that I was gawking everytime and internally screaming XD He was able to stand on that elevated stage, do some acrobatic stunts, and got emotional while singing Starlight of Faith and in the free talk when he said he is thankful to ES, his unit members and to Tatsumi, to his fans who believed in him.

Naming Japanese characters on your fanfiction/AUs as a non-Japanese speaker/native:

One of my biggest pet peeves (as a Japanese speaker) when I read anything anime/manga based is how people name OCs. But even though I cringe with most name choices, I always feel empathy because on a scale from 1 to 10, who really speaks Japanese out there? Statistically, def not most people.

So, here’s my sureproof method to at least name your character’s realistically!

Go to some of your favorite anime pages at MAL (to spice things up a bit, I like to avoid the anime I’m currently writing about, but if you’re writing My Hero Academia, for example, you can choose the anime itself).

Expand the Seiyuu (VA) list and explore the secondary actor’s cast.

Mix and match first names and surnames.

For example:

Say I want to create one female and one male OC,

There’s a Seiyuu named Suzuki (surname) Minori (first name) who played an ‘ordinary woman’ in one of MHA S7th’s episodes.

And Monoma’s Seiyuu is a man called Amasaki (surname) Kouhei (first name).

I’ll name my female OC as Amasaki Minori and my male OC as Suzuki Kouhei.

As a non-Japanese speaker it’s counterproductive to get hung-up over name meanings, because the meaning of a name changes according to the Kanji with which it’s written. You can always try to find the ‘general’ meaning, but I wouldn’t open that can and would instead focus on my writing and characters.

All you need for your fanfiction/AUs are real Japanese names!
