“Confused? I shouldn't wonder. Examine the facts: You're married to Janette. Having a torrid affair with your medical examiner friend. Being bossed around by Schanke. And confessing all to your captain...”

IMO Les Mis 2012 is the best movie ever made. You are allowed to have your own opinion on it I respect that but just know that if I hear one more person say ''Les Mis 2012 is bad [insert xyz reasons that i've already heard before and are just about being picky about the singing which wasn't even that bad]'' i am going to shoot myself in the face.
reblog if you think helena bonham carter and sacha baron cohen were iconic in that movie

rewatched Les mis (2012) and
I was thinking I would make a video where I just point out the little bits that I like.
As in, instead of just pointing out random things, I point out the bits that I like or thought were cute or funny (which is basically the entire movie so it would be like an hour long)
Because I have loved this movie since I was a kid and even now I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. Like, I was re-watching it last night and thinking ''Why did everybody hate this movie? This is great!''
(all of this is my opinion and if I get any ppl disagreeing with me.... let's just agree to disagree :3)
Because lets just count the many, many blessings the 2012 movie gave us:
-Suddenly and Suddenly (reprise)
-Hugh Jackman's beautiful falsetto
-Samantha Barks, the queen of all queens, amazing singer, the list goes on
-Russell Crowe's brilliant acting and ACCURATE voice for the character.
-Aaron Tveit, beautiful singer, the most book-accurate Enjolras I can think of.
-Eddie Redmayne's accurate depiction of Marius's character, and also I don't care what anybody says because his singing may sound a bit like a muppet but his singing is epic
-That one time there was a cow in the background
-Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter's existence
-Amanda Seyfried, a real-life Disney Princess and awesome singer as well.
-Fra Fee and Killian Donelly's existence and also beautiful singing.
-and did I even mention the SETS and the COSTUMES my goodness they are amazing.
-Hadley Fraser
-Enjolras's hair
-George Blagden, beautiful singer and enjoltaire shipping legend <3
-The cinematography in the battle scenes MY GOODNESS IT WAS AWESOME
-The featurettes and behind the scenes thingies
-Literally I could go on for HOURS which I why I was thinking of making the video, so I will stop now, but only for now.
-Daniel Huttlestone being the awesomest and cutest gavroche ever

I actually think the movie would be improved if only the important scenes were musical. Having singing in the trivial scenes just makes everything else trivial as well.
Les Misérables is a 2012 epic period musical film directed by Tom Hooper, based on the stage musical of the same name by Schönberg, Boublil, and Jean-Marc Natel, which in turn is based on the 1862 novel Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. The film stars an ensemble cast led by Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried, Helena Bonham Carter, and Sacha Baron Cohen.

If The Marriage of Figaro wasn't an opera, but a movie, here's my fancasting:
Figaro - Hugh Dancy (I feel like he can portray the scheming and the comedy simultaneously. He's also as scrunkly as I picture Figaro.)
Susanna - Emma Stone (I might be biased bc I just really love Emma Stone, but I think she would play the sassiness and stress great.)
The Count - Johnny Depp (Younger though, like in his Willy Wonka era. He could play the Count to be comedic successfully and not just creepy, though he totally has the abilities to emulate creepy too.)
Countess Rosina - Emily Blunt (I think she could do the mourning and sadness of the Countess' love life along with her hope/longing awesomely.)
Cherubino - Tom Holland (He can definitely portray the younger charming boy vibes, plus he could totally do the "pretends to be a woman" bit, I mean go check him out in The Crowded Room--you know the one scene I'm talking about, or go watch him dance to Umbrella.)
Cherubino (breeches role edition) - Amanda Bynes (I promise this isn't just a She's The Man joke. It might be a little bit but I also think Amanda Bynes is chaotic enough to play him.)
Bartolo - Rami Malek (I can't explain this. It's just a feeling.)
Marcellina - Kristen Wiig (She's got all the comedy skills ever. That's all I have to say.)
Basilio - Sacha Baron Cohen (I think he's the right amount of kooky for this role.)

CATCHING FIRE 2013
You should imagine thousands upon thousands of your people dead. This town of yours reduced to ashes. Imagine it gone, radioactive, buried under dirt as if it never existed like District 13. You fought very hard in the Games, Miss Everdeen. But they were games. Would you like to be in a real war?
