you're not sure if he even notices, but ren always freezes for a couple seconds afterwards, standing completely still as his cheeks turn red, before he snaps back into reality and mumbles out something like “w-what was i just saying…?”

you make sure to only use that technique on him when the stakes are low! you'd never do such a thing before a big fight or within a palace. but during training in mementos, you like to mess with him occasionally…

and it's entertaining for the other phantom thieves as well! especially ryuji and ann tease ren about how flustered you manage to make him!

Having a crush on someone like Amamiya was dangerous. He was obviously a very shady character hiding behind a flirtatious and bright personality. But what do you do? You fall for him anyway.

"I don't know what to do, Christina," you whined loudly whilst holding your head in your hands.

Christina patted your back while you cried to yourself. Your lips jutted out in a pout and your eyes filled with big crocodile tears.

"I warned you not to fall for him."

"I know," you muttered.

"I told you countless times that he will treat you like a pawn."

"I know..."

"And what do you do?"

"...fell for him..."

"Fell for who?"

You about jumped out of your skin at the smooth voice behind your ear, you blinked back the surprise though and quickly recovered when you spun around in your chair, "Amamiya Sir!"

He was technically your boss now, but you still had a bad habit of forgetting to call him sir...

He poked and prodded at you, hoping to get an answer, but you refused to budge and instead pressed your lips together, shut your eyes tight, and held your hands in your lap like a child refusing to listen to their parent.

All the while Christina made an escape, a knowing smile on their lips.

"N/n~," Amamiya whined as he sat next to you. His body too close to comfort.

He sighed heavily and practically hung himself over you in a defeated pout. His chest was pressed to your back, his arms hung over your shoulders and his chin rested in the crook of your neck.

If you were normal, then you know you would be kicking and squealing like some high school girl. But thanks to your experience with fighting aliens...well, you liked to think you had a good poker face when it came to stuff like this.

"And here I thought you would finally admit your little crush on me."

-Poor Toto isn't sure what to do honestly. He's probably never had it happen so he has no clue what to do and likely just looked up how to help. He does try his best though so you have to give him some sort of credit!

-Ron likely has no experience and waits for you to call for him if you need help with anything. He's not overbearing so he just waits for you to call him for help whether it be to turn off the lights or get you a blanket so you could nap.

-Winter is a lot more cautious with you after your concussion. They might scold you for being clumsy but they truly care about you and make sure you rest up until you're feeling alright again. It's not every day you get to see such a worried side of them that they hide away.

-Amamiya makes sure you're taken care of before she leaves for work. She wouldn't want you to do anything you're not able to do right after getting a concussion, bad or not. She makes sure you have everything nearby till she can get home. Honestly, she probably scolded you for somehow being so clumsy...

Akechi

He resigned himself to getting hit often by the shadows. He tries to draw as much aggression as possible. Mostly because he has a lot of pent-up aggression and hitting things and being hit helps him (even if he gets more pissed).

So he's prepared and ready to be hit by this shadow's attack. His health is low, but he knows Joker has some healing abilities and items. Akechi isn't prepared to see you jump in front of him and take the hit.

His jaw clenches and he feels more anger than he has in a long while. But that anger is directed to the shadow that left you worse than he currently is. Oh, he'll give you an earful afterward. But right now, that shadow is going to be obliterated.

Joker

Joker does his best to not let himself get harmed enough that one of his friends jumps in front to take the blow for him. It's happened quite a bit and he's glad that he keeps a persona that can revive.

That said, watching you suddenly be the one to jump in and take the hit for him makes him freeze for a moment. He's glad you aren't knocked out from the hit, but he was afraid for a moment.

When the battle ends, he's flicking your forehead. He'll scold you later when you're in private, but for now, he'll keep his calm as a leader and make sure you get healing and have someone else take your place in the battle for a little while.

Ryuji

He doesn't try to be reckless in battle, but he isn't the most observant. When he gets pushed, he expects that a shadow is attacking him and is ready to swing his bat. But then he watches as you get hit by a shadow that was aiming for him.

Ryuji is mad. Not Akechi levels of mad, but he's mad. He knows that he should try to keep his cool, but you took an attack for him while he was screwing around while his health was low.

Ryuji does his best to keep enemies off of you while you get healed. Ryuji will be annoyed when you're healed just because of what you did. He's strong, he can handle being knocked out for a little while. Just don't worry him like that again, got it?

Yusuke

Yusuke knows his health is running low, but he also knows that he's pretty quick and agile. As tired as he's getting, as long as he can dodge the next attacks until he's healed then he'll be fine. Except he can't dodge fast enough.

And then you take the hit for him. Yusuke's eyes widen as he watches you being attacked. It's something that happens quite a bit when you all go into mementos and palaces to fight, he's watched you get harmed more than he cares for. But now you're being hurt on his behalf.

He's using what stamina he has to freeze the enemies with his ice attacks and buy more time for healing to happen for you and him. After the battle, Yusuke thanks you and then begins to scold you for what you did. You owe him new paints.

"what's on your mind, ren?" you ask.

"i just... uh..." ren's lip trembles slightly as he tries to explain. he eventually gives in with a sigh. "we've never, like, kissed, have we?"

you pause. "no...? no, we haven't."

it's a moment before ren responds, smiling. he pushes up his glasses.

"i think we should." wow, okay. smooth ren is back. but he's still a bit of a dork, especially with those glasses.

"like, right now?" "right now. if you want to, that is." "duh i want to, idiot!" you scoot closer to him and smile softly at him, waiting for him to make the first move. he suggested it, after all.

Akira Kurusu x S.E.E.S! Reader Headcannons

Warning: Swearing

Note: The reader doesn't know that Akira is a Phantom Thief but has suspicions.

He doesn't know that you were a persona user, due to him thinking that the only way to summon a persona is ripping off the mask and that the Metaverse is the only place where shadows can exist. So he was essentially clueless even if you two dated for a while.

When you invited him to your house to hang out he was excited, he was excited to see what your room was like and to see your personality shine through it.

And indeed it had your personality and your likes slapped all over it. Posters of your favorite band/game/movie and some of the items you own in your favorite color.

You have to excuse yourself to get something you left downstairs, so Akira was left alone in your room.

Akira just stood there awkwardly, he didn't want to snoop around but something caught his eye.

There was a sliver case peeking out under your bed, the blanket almost covering it.

It caught his interest. He kneels down and takes the case out under your bed. He wanted to respect your privacy but curiosity got the better of him.

He carefully open the case, and he immediately saw something that shook him to the core.

A fucking gun.

A unique-looking gun at that. Another thing that caught his eye was the red armband that was sitting there, waiting to be worn again. He didn't want to touch it in case you noticed that it moved once you opened the case. But he can see the letters S.E being shown while the rest of the letters are hidden.

There was something else that caught his eye, but it was a lot more innocent compare to the gun.

It was a group picture with people, a dog, and a robot? that he doesn't recognize other than you of course. The people in the picture were wearing a school uniform. You looked younger in the picture so Akira can guess that this picture was taken years ago.

"Oh shit I can explain!" You quickly shouted when you saw Akira looking at your Evoker case. You thought that you had hidden the case better.

"...Why do you have a gun?"

"It's not a gun it's an Evoker!" You try to explain but it didn't really help with another. You quickly responded, "Look, let me explain, and hope this won't change your opinion of me." You then explain on how you had gotten this Evoker, S.E.E.S the Dark Hour, the shadows, and a little bit of your teammates. You didn't tell him about the more... sensitive parts when you were part of the S.E.E.S. It took a while for Akira to process the information because he was shocked that there were other Persona users and something similar to the Metaverse. Akira did feel bad that you had to explain this to him which is probably one of the most private parts of your life. So Akira spoke up.

"(Y/N)," Akira said softly, "thank you for telling me this. To make things fair, I want to tell you a secret." Akira then mentally prepared himself for your reaction, "I am the leader of the Phantom Thieves."

Silence fills the room. You sigh as you run your fingers through your hair, "I had my suspicions...and I had a feeling that you were more special than others." You put your hand on his cheek, "You are being careful with being a Phantom Theif right?"

"Yes, I am..." Akira put his hand over yours.

You stay silent and then you spoke, "I want to join you guys." Akira stiffens but then slowly nods. Despite him not wanting you to join, you already have experience with shadows. More than him actually. So he reluctantly let you join.

Akira let you tell the others what you had told him.

When you all got to the Metaverse and started to fight the shadows, he (and the others) got a heart attack when you put the Evoker to your head. He felt a little better when your Persona came out instead of your brain bits.

It is going to take a while for him to get used to it, maybe never.

Despite you having more experience, he is still a little protective over you.

...and maybe gets a little flustered when you are being a badass.

Over time, however, it turned out to be just a front for another, less moral business. You wanted to leave but your employer made it difficult for you, and soon his true nature was revealed. + Ren was surprised that you trusted him so much. Usually, he had to find out about such things from people himself or it happened by accident. He tried his best to comfort you. You awakened your persona by trying to save him, even though he didn't need it at all. In the process, you managed to change your boss's heart together.

+ After all that action, you made a lot of new friends. The Phantom Thieves group had a new member and it became common to spend time together. That's why you started to miss being alone with Ren. It slipped out when you were walking through Mementos one day. Joker smiled and asked if you wanted to go to the movies. You agreed and went to get a few drinks.

+ The previous sentence describes your relationship quite well. Sometimes you don't have time for everything, so you have to juggle different responsibilities. Whether it's investigating changes of heart or making coffee together in Leblanc. There aren't many moments left for typical dates, so these are especially important to you.

+ Joker is much more of a flirt when he shows his persona. You don't hold him back. He often kisses your hand or unexpectedly grabs you by the waist to sneak over the enemy. In the ordinary world, you are much more subdued. People see you as a quiet, in-love couple of busy teenagers.

+ Sojiro and Morgana are your biggest fans. Ren's guardian keeps inviting you to the coffee shop, saying you're a good influence on his ward. He also gives great advice when you're arguing (and makes much better coffee than your boyfriend but you'd rather not bring that up...).

+ You are not overly protective of each other. You usually know that the other is strong enough to cope. That doesn't mean that you leave each other in need but you usually just don't need it.

+ You eat curry. Lots of curry. All the time. You bought Ren a big pot as a present so he could make even better versions of the dish. He bought you a gun. For the Phantom Thieves' purposes, of course but you were very happy. Much more than you were over the bracelet for your last birthday.
