Not really a question but I wanted to say I appreciate the soft and tender intimacy you show in your work sometimes. Sex is weird and really scary to me personally because of past shit, so when I can just see something be done lovingly… it’s nice.. it makes me remember that’s it’s not so scary. Sorry if that’s sharing too much, I just like your art 

ok so this ask inspired me to go on a bit of a rant, NOT DIRECTED AT YOU, im really genuinely glad that my work helps to make sex seem more fun and less scary. that means a lot to me.

so much of the time sex is shown to be like. this serious, meaningful thing, when really sex is just. normal! just as normal as not having sex. it's as regular as feeding yourself, or pissin or scratchin an itch. And like the whole world(catholicism) has just made it out to be this TERRIFYING AND SINFUL ACT. This SCANDALIZING AND POLARIZING THING!! but really like. its a completely neutral action, the same as washing your hands or blowing your nose!!! its just our bodies doing something that they (for the most part and up to personal preference) were made to do!!

like idk, i might be a hedonist but i feel like people were more likely made to walk the earth fuckin nasty smoking pot and cooking animals over a big fire than they were to like. feel bad about themselves for their appearances. or work at starbucks.

but i digress!!! GENTLE AND CARING SEX IS COOL MORE THAT!

I am confuse and a bit weary.

Sega of America Channel had posted an artwork describing the two as long lost siblings and in Shadow the Hedgehog Manual 2005 Maria sees Shadow as her brother.

Sega of Japan on the other hand embrace Shadaria, they even describe them as akin to Beauty and the Beast, save the katakana hashtag, and the official manga has Maria using daisuki to Shadow, common I love you trope for confessions in Manga and Anime.

Is there like a divide of lore between East and West fandom? I mean why are the two interpretations being split between Jp and America?

Just had a fun thought called:

What if Curufin invented crossbows

Picture this: you’re Curufin. You’re a little loser with a perfectionism issue drilled in by your dad. Your brother is the greatest elven hunter and one of the best elven archers in history.

And by the Valar you are Not going to humiliate yourself by Practicing aiming with a bow next to your crazy talented brother who can hit a target with his eyes closed and while cracking jokes about how bad his aim is. You would rather die.

Of course you could just practice by yourself. And you do that! You get decently good with a bow. But ‘decent’ is not a word that should ever be used to describe a Curufinwë, and you know it. But WAIT HOLD ON WAR TIME! WAR TIME! WAR TIME! WAR TIME!

New continent, new you! You who still can’t really shoot a bow, oopsies. You’re good with swords. You make swords. You stick with swords, for now.

And then another round of bow humiliation later you decide enough is enough. Fuck this. Who needs to Aim with your Eyes and Skill when the bow can do it for you? Clearly it’s not you lacking the skill, it’s the bow’s fault. Yes. The bow is Bad and that’s why you suck and it is Definitely Not your fault.

And so you get to work on creating. You make weapons, you’re good at making weapons. You’ve made some damn good swords and a silly thing that shoots metal on a stick won’t stop you. And who even needs to load the arrow in the moment? Why not just have it preloaded? Loading arrows is so last year. Load the arrow beforehand, have it stay loaded. Aim, shoot, kill. And who needs the precise tension needed by your grip and your posture when the bow could do that for you?

And thus the crossbow was born. And you’ll never feel bad about your mediocre shooting ever again (until your very talented brother insists you use a normal longbow for the next target practice).
