MICKEY'S SELFSHIP STATISTICS: ALTERNATE WORLDS
▹ miji - detective au; he's the grumpy and older, more experienced one and i am the weird new guy who manages to surprise everybody with my skills (i am autistic)
▹ mitoru - con-artists au; aka idiots in crime. we keep fucking each other over but there are no hard feelings other than the lovesick ones. i hate to admit that we do work really well together though......... but we're not partners. we are not. we're not. (he disagrees)
▹ mizai - office au; he doesn't seem to be working ever, just constantly bugging his coworkers instead of actually sitting down to do anything. he's also blatantly following me around the building; if i go to the cafe, he's in the cafe. if i go to the printer room, he's suddenly now in the printer room. he's really annoying and when i realized that i might have a crush on him i actually just slapped myself.
▹ misu - apocalypse au; please don't make me go into detail abt this i don't think it'll end well.
▹ mikuna - pirate au; he's the captain and i sneak on board his ship and just pretend that i've been there the whole time. of course he notices right away, but he doesn't say anything bc he's a little shit like that. gives me some gnarly tasks just to try and push my buttons, he wants to see for how long i'll keep this up before trying to just jump ship the next time we board but i never do. he has an eyepatch. i fear that i am his main entertainment there.
▹ michuu - bodyguard au; he's just trying to do his job but ever since i found out that he blushes kind of easily, i haven't stopped trying to make it happen over and over again. he's really sweet though. i think he likes me<3
▹ mihime - royalty au; the princess and her devoted knight. a brat and her loyal dog. but she's very easy to tease and she gets really easily flustered aswell and i just love love love her cute little angry face. it's very obvious that she has a crush on me:333
▹ misho - partners in crime au; but the crimes are way more serious than mitoru's theft and robbery:33333 let's just say we get our hands dirty a lot, yeah? (something ghostface duo something something)
▹ miwa - volleyball rivals to lovers au; he underestimates my darling smile and gets his ass beat in a match and he's not the same after that. plans for a death rematch but then finds himself getting pushed against the wall in between games with me inches away from his flushed face. (he is a loser)(i will make him my boyfriend)
▹ miten - strangers stuck in a lift together au; this is not an actual au i realize but i am still going to call it that nonetheless. it's only the two of us in there and we're both trying to act very cool bc the other person is so good-looking and so neither of us want to embarrass ourselves. but we are in there for like literal hours and so by the end of it we're making jokes about dying then and there and it's just the perfect way for us to bond, yk? he asks for my number when we finally get out (he stutters just a little).
▹ miromi - meet-ugly au; another one that's not really an au but just a trope buuut fuck it we ball. we run into each other at the grocery store and he drops his carton of eggs all over the floor (and me). and this happens more than once. one time i dropped a can of soda and it just exploded fucking all over the place. oh and btw we both always clean it up ourselves, so now just imagine this tired looking guy in a full suit mopping up soda alongside with a tired looking guy in hello kitty pants. it's uhh.. very romantic<3
#the miji detective au isn't really even like a romantic one i just think we would make a surprisingly good partners:33333#apocalypse suguru is uh. like a bit scary#ashdggshadghashgdghas#he definitely has done things#his hands are so far from being clean#and while obviously everybody has done things his lack of remorse about anything and everything is very . interesting#anyway i love thinking abt my selfships and i fear that i will never stop doing it#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#hehehehhee#miji#mitoru#misu#mizai#mikuna#michuu#mihime#misho#miwa#miten#miromi#i am cringe but i am free

Dark Skin Directory
I did one of these for my sideblog BlackFemmeCharacterDependency (BFCD) and... While it’ll take longer on this end to do because there are more prominent figures here than on that one, I thought it would be good to also have one for my main...
EDIT: Okay, so the one that I did for BFCD does not work, so I am posting this one to see if it works, and if not, they’ll both be WIPS until I have the time to repair them
For the purposes of this list and on this page, whenever I say “dark skinned,” I mean a traditional brown crayon or darker. I grew up around Black people, so the words “dark skinned” do not mean the same thing to me as it do to nonblacks.

"I’m gonna eat candy in the dark and pretend I’m home alone." - From Miji
GREY’S ANATOMY ASK MEME PT. 3
She had been tidying up the mess that had been made during the day while she was at work when Momiji came out with such a silly sentiment. Eat candy in the dark and pretend he was home alone? When he was in her home? Just because she had set up the spare room mostly for him didn't mean that this was his home too. (She did treat it as such though, when he needed a retreat from the main estate.)
"What am I not good enough company to eat candy with?" Kagura questioned, pulling a blanket to her chest that she had pulled from the sofa. She huffed, turning her head, long brown hair fanning out behind her as she did. "Fine, go on then, I get it." Of course her mock offence didn't hide the fact that the boar would have happily eaten candy too.

Project Development & Research & Borrowing Cultural Elements (GDD Week 5)
( The cashier of Brick Lane Bookshop)
When I went to Shoreditch, I found there is a coin line at the cashier of Brick Lane bookshop for helping customers to identify different UK coins. This made me to think :
Is it easy for the new students from Chinese & South Korean countries to identify UK ‘s coin & what’s their feeling about using coins?
For finding out answers, I did an on line survey( via what’s app & wechat ) with some of my classmates & friends newly coming from two main sources of overseas students in London which are: China and South Korean .
The reason why I choose these two is because of as I know, people who live in those two countries rarely use coins and with closely data( China: 20; South Korean: 18) according to Hofstede’ s culture GPS, especially for individualism. They all care about other’s opinion, prefer to group life and like food which they feel familiar to. Those foods are normally sell in small “cash only” shops . That means when they move to London, they have to use unfamiliar coins frequently. Thus, I want to know their attitudes toward coins.
Individualism :
The fundamental issue addressed by this dimension is the degree of interdependence a society maintains among its members. It has to do with whether people´s self-image is defined in terms of “I” or “We”. In Individualist societies people are supposed to look after themselves and their direct family only. In Collectivist societies people belong to ‘in groups’ that take care of them in exchange for loyalty.
China:
At a score of 20 China is a highly collectivist culture where people act in the interests of the group and not necessarily of themselves. In-group considerations affect hiring and promotions with closer in-groups (such as family) are getting preferential treatment. Employee commitment to the organization (but not necessarily to the people in the organization) is low. Whereas relationships with colleagues are cooperative for in-groups they are cold or even hostile to out-groups. Personal relationships prevail over task and company.
South Korean:
South Korea, with a score of 18 is considered a collectivistic society. This is manifest in a close long-term commitment to the member ‘group’, be that a family, extended family, or extended relationships. Loyalty in a collectivist culture is paramount, and over-rides most other societal rules and regulations. The society fosters strong relationships where everyone takes responsibility for fellow members of their group. In collectivist societies offence leads to shame and loss of face, employer/employee relationships are perceived in moral terms (like a family link), hiring and promotion decisions take account of the employee’s in-group, management is the management of groups.
In my online survey , I listed 6 questions:
1. When and in which case you prefer to use coin for paying ? Why not by card or apple pay and other payment methods?
2. How do you feel about paying by coins?
3. Do you find it’s easy or not easy for you to find coin with correct value ? Why?
4. Can you identify different coins after one month lived in London?
5. If you need pay 4.3 pounds. Do you prefer to pay by coins with exact 4.3 pounds? or do you prefer to pay by paper money of 5 pounds ?
6. If you can’t find correct coin immediately, what’s your feeling ?
Below are their answers:
Jenny, South Korean
1. Use coins when I buying cheap food or goods. Most of them use cash because they do not have a UK check card yet and I did not think I would use it because there is not much information about Apple Pay.
2. It is inconvenient for a wallet to become heavy because of coin, and it takes too long to calculate coin.
3. I have not found it yet but My husband is always calculating instead of me. It is the best way of a caculating of a coin.
4. Not yet… It looks like a similar .
5. I prefer to pay 5 pound because it is more easy to calculating.
6. I am very embarrassed and sorry to those who wait for me.
Fan, South Korean
1. I try to use coin when having too much coins .😂
2. Not convenient. Especially pounds have many kinds of coin, so it makes me confused
3. It’s not easy. As i said, there are too many sorts of coins😵
4. Becuase not living in london so long but trying to memorize kinds of coins, I can identify coins
5. I prefe to use 5 pounds, becaus counting and picking specific coins for 4.3pounds make me irritated
6.Er... maybe irritated? Annoyed..!
Sua, South Korean
1. I think coin for paying is uncomfortable.. actually when i was in korea i usually us card. Even though I'm not usually use cash for paying. So actually im still not prefer coin.
2. Same as number1 question.
3. I think if i find some value it can be preserving about tradition. Because i think pay card is more convenient but it can be loose for analog system.
4. I can district about just 1pound,50,10 now. I'm still confusing when i buy for something.
5. Honestly, paper money of 5 is more convenient but i don't want making another coins so i prefer to pay exact 4.3 with coins.
6. For now, i feel sorry for late paying but i'm a foreigner, so it is common happening so usually I think it's okey.
Lily, South Korean
1. I usually use coins when my wallet has NO SPACE for coins(it is very heavy and thick when the wallet has a lot of coins😣)! or I usually buy things under £2 by using coins! Cuz it is very easy to calculate!
2. Feel very refreshed ! This is because my wallet becomes much lighter than before!
3. No, actually it is quite difficult to calculate value with coins because I am not familiar with the British coin yet..
4. For me, it took over a month to be familiar with coins! I think I am not perfectly master this yet😫
5. I would use the paper money of £5, rather than using coins!
6. Well, when I find it difficult to pay correct coin immediately, I usually give up and feel ashamed.. unconfident.. Beacause I think I am so stupid, so I sometimes blame myself
Miji, South Korean
1. I use coins when I have a lot of changes in my wallet. I prefer to use card if it's available
2. I feel uncomfortable when it takes too much time to find coins when there is long queue
3. Size of coin made me confused when I use UK coin first time. For example, two pence is bigger than five pence so it was difficult to figure it out easily which one is which one.
4. Now I remember shape of all coins so there is no problem to identify them.
5. If I have enough time and changes, I prefer to pay exact amount. If I'm in rush probably I'll pay with a 5 pound note.
6. Feels embarrassing and hurry to find coins. And sorry for to being delayed.
Romi, South Korea
1. When I have a lot of coins, I prefer using coin in order to remove them and make my wallet be slim.
2. I feel happy to use coins because my wallet would be slimmer! And I may feel the amount of the price is not expensive because I can use my coins, not note.
3. I think it was not easy to find coins with correct value before, but it is getting better!!!
4. Of course!!! But it may take some time to find them correctly!! :)
5. If I have enought coins, I absolutely prefer use my coins for paying it.
6. Oh, it may embarrass me and I will pay for it by card or note(if I have) even if I gain a lot of coins after paying by note.
WG, China
1. Whenever I have too many and decide to get rid of them. Usually I would choose to purchase a product of which I know its price, for example an Americano from one of my regular coffee shops, that way I can count my coins and use them up as many as possible. And it’s not safe to use coins in little shops.
2.Just one of ways that we pay for things.
3. It's easy once you got used to the look of these coins, so no. It's just a matter of time.
4. Yes.
5. I think I would either use 1 five-pound note or 5 one-pound coins. But if I had the time, I usually make that decision before I pay (say, while I'm in a queue) - so yeah, maybe if I have 4.3 in exact amount, I would use coins.
6. I can't remember that ever happened to me. If I were in a hurry I would just use paper notes, or maybe contactless card in certain circumstances. But as I said, I usually check before I pay.
Jin Jing, China
1. When I have loads of coins in my wallet or I have exact amount coins to pay, otherwise I prefer cards. But I don’t use cards in some grocery / convenient stores.
2. I like coins as a form of currency and I like One pound coin as it feels solid and safe. Paying by coins can not be replaced as there is no One pound note.
3. It's easy as each has difference material and size
4. Yes
5. I guess 5 Pound note is an easier option as I don't get a bag of coin change
6. feeling so anxious.
Bob, China
1. When I have loads of coins.
2. Not convenience.
3. It’s not easy because the number is so small and there’s too many different kinds.
4. I can’t.
5. Pay 4.3.
6. Feeling sucks because waste other’s time
Jiacheng Guo , China
1. When I buy something in Oriental food shops. They all cash only. And also I don’t think it’s safe to use cards in small stores.
2. I will be very happy after I have spent all your coins.
3. It’s not easy to recognize all of them at first. But different face values can be distinguished according to their different outlines.
4. By different shapes.
5. I prefer to pay by card.
6. Feel depressed.
Joshua, Hong Kong
1. Never prefer to use coins. I use them only because I want to get rid of them 😂
2. Sometimes when I count the coins I get some stares and I feel uncomfortable.
3. It's not easy to find correct value. Sometimes paying with coins result in getting more changes back 💩
4. Ya.😎
5. I'd like to pay exact £4.3 if I have got the coins. Just to get rid of them.
6.If I couldn't find the correct amount of coins, I pay with paper money😂
But it's frustrating 😂😂
And I also did a video survey( not finish yet, need more experiments)
I hand made a small black box . Firstly, I put a coin into it. Secondly, I’ll ask people to put in one finger touching the coin and guess what’s value of it. This experiment is to simulate the situation when people put coins in their pockets/wallets. They need pick the correct coin when they need pay.
Reflection:
According to these two survey, I found most of them are not familiar with counting coins. Even when they see the coin, they found its not easy to know the correct value of it, needless to see by touching it.
Most of Chinese students think it’s not safe to use cards in small grocery or convenient stores even they have POSE machine.
Also, when they can’t pick the right coin immediately, they would feel awkward , depressed, frustrating and even irritating. Those negative emotions would influence their desire of communication.
How to build communication ? Building confidence !!
Thus, I want to design a item/tool for helping them to identify coins as soon as possible. By this way, they would feel comfortable, relax and enjoyable when they pay by coin and please to talk with local people. And finally, to understand culture of UK adapting to London life.
Context:
New comer students from Asian countries. They always feel awkward and not convenient to use coins. However, most of shops selling oriental products are cash only. This design is not for avoiding communication and awkward, but to build a bridge for them to knowing UK culture and also have more desire to communication.
“Cross-cultural design is the creation of products, services, communications and experiences that facilitate interactions between cultures or across communication boundaries.” (Erin Moore: Cross-Cultural Design = Living on the Edge)
I want to design an item as upper said, to build communication and create interactions between Asian new comer and local merchants. For further thinking, I did some researches:
(Some references of knowing UK coins):

(Money Song for Children UK )

( Learn Your British Coins! )
The point of coins in China & UK
UK: use a lot because of durable
18 Things You Didn't Know About UK Coins
http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2017/03/18-things-you-didnt-know-about-uk-coins-2/
Why does the UK decide to have 1 and 2 pound coins instead of paper bills?
https://www.quora.com/Why-does-the-UK-decide-to-have-1-and-2-pound-coins-instead-of-paper-bills
Basically, small bills are used in far more transactions than large bills, so their lifespan is shorter. This means that small bills need to be replaced more often. Coins are more durable and don't need to be replaced as often, but are more expensive to produce. Eventually, a country reaches a tipping point where the long-term costs of using small bills is greater than the long-term costs of using coins. When this happens, the small bills are replaced with coins. As is pointed out at the end of the radio program, the US dollar bill hasn't been replaced yet because the dollar bill is more durable than bills from other countries. Therefore, the US uses paper money in transactions where other developed countries, such as the UK, would use coins.
China: rarely used now because of the highly development and widely use of various on line payment platforms (e.g.. wechat, Alipay and others).
Around 210 BC, the first emperor of China Qin Shi Huang (260–210 BC) abolished all other forms of local currency and introduced a uniform copper coin. Paper money was invented in China in the 9th century, but the base unit of currency remained the copper coin. Copper coins were used as the chief denomination of currency in China until the introduction of the yuan in the late 19th century.
However, nowadays, Coins are cheap in value and heavy in weight, so most of Chinese would not trouble themselves to carry a lot of coins with them. Truth is nowadays even paper money are not preferred any more. People tend to use credit card or wechat/alipay for all kinds of payments. Therefore, it would be a really rare case for anyone to carry a large number of coins to banks, and hence little need for coin counting machines.
In China, the value of the coin is usually low, like one yuan,so if you go shopping or eating or something else by coins, you have to carry so many coins, actually,I never saw a Chinese carrying a lot of coins, neither did Chinese in bank, though I heard someone did this.Therefor, there is not existing a need for a coin-counting machine, bank staffs can solve it.
*Core differences : coins values in UK ,but in China, coins are so cheap in value.
My idea: design an aid tool , guide people to identify coins and easy for daily carry. To teach new comers about UK culture of using coins.
1. first choice : Portable Coin Box
My design will be a mini box for assembling coins of UK. It is a hybrid design product, which combines Chinese culture and UK culture. It is not only the mixture of culture elements, like Chinese classic household objects and British style prints, but also build communication with two different behaviors of payment. Because we rarely use coins in China in these years and we only have 3 types of coins. However, in UK people used coins quite often.
It will be made in wood because the lightness and unbroken feature of wood for meeting needs of portable, and there are 8 individual spaces inside the box. Each space is for coin of one certain value. On the cover of box, it indicates the number of value, like 1pound, 50p.
Inspiration : 七巧攒盘
It is the Chinese classic style plate that inspired by traditional Chinese game tangram.Tangram was originally invented by Chinese 1000 years ago , which name was “ 燕几“.Then spread to the west at the beginning of 19th.
2. Second choice: a coin measure bookmark
On the surface of bookmark, there are some holes . Each hole represented a shape of one certain coin. People could match the coin to each hole. By remembering the shape & size of coin , then remember the value of it. Like coin collective album, to carve exact size & shape of each coin.
The shape of bookmark is ancient Chinese coin called knife money. The reason why I choose this shape is because I want to combine/ hybrid Chinese coin with British coin to build a communication of payment. Because both of China and UK had long history of metal coins. Although coin as the role of payment is getting lost in China, it’s still a good way to remember this traditional culture. And also by seeing this, it will remind people UK too.

it´s a good day to have a good day
"Mehr als nur Office-Kunst" Vom 03. bis 05. Februar 2017 bespielen 14 KünstlerInnen/Künstlergruppen ein großflächiges Büroareal in Frankfurt am Main. Die dreitägige Gruppenausstellung “it´s a good day to have a good day” legt ihren Fokus auf eine enge Symbiose zwischen Kunst und Büroraum. Die Ausstellung zielt nicht darauf ab, Kunst einem dekorativen Zweck unterzuordnen, sondern den Künstler ohne Einschränkungen in die primär funktionalen Räumlichkeiten intervenieren zu lassen.
