The league trying to catch glimpses of this mysterious roommate and getting closer each time (dabi likes cooking for them). Dabi getting a pool, and Shigaraki joining him once, admittedly with the water being much cooler than Dabi prefers. Shigaraki finding his place in the world.

I do have thoughts about how they would live their lives in the aftermath: Shigaraki definitely continues his treatment and therapy for his depression for a good long while so that he doesn't become suicidal again. And I imagine Toga is the one to first find out about Dabi. She 100% breaks into their house while Shig is at said therapy and hears the EDM playing all through the house and finds Dabi in the tub. She thinks it's just goo at first and Dabi feels that he has the same strong connection to her thread as Shigaraki did, so he reveals himself (Tomura ends up having to give him a talking to about indecent exposure after the fact). Toga thinks he's adorable as a puddle/blob, and does not get he's a god at first And then she gets super excited about the idea of being in a cult. Everyone else is a little nervous (understandably) but Dabi is adorable in such a distinctly unhinged way and seeing how much Shigaraki adores him makes them a little more willing to cooperate. Dabi gives them all good long lives, but they do all end up burning to death when their time comes to an end. He scatters their ashes along the threads to ensure that they always find each other in some capacity, and when Shig's life ends, he burns and his ashes are put into the vessels as originally planned. When they go back to the reality that Dabi was from, they become a paired entity and Tomura decides that he wants to consume the gods that only bring suffering to mortals. Dabi is happy to do that as well and that crusade of theirs is where Tomura develops his complex about being 'king' which ripples out across other facets of realities. And when they want to rest, or fall in love again, they hide their body and slip along those fractals so they can experience it all over again.

Let's start with some Dabi fics.

I am absolutely obsessed with the Us series by @nohoney these days. All of their work is amazing, but this Dabi x Reader x Hawks series especially is just such a poignant, compelling, and (at time frighteningly) accurate representation of toxic relationships, depression, and drug use.

Loveless by Clashgirl07 is an amazing slow-burn with a really exciting and well-plotted AUish adventure. It still takes place in the hero world, but with a completely alternate story and timeline - SUPER fun! I can't even believe how talented this writer is for how young they are and I'm really excited to see what else they put out in the future.

oh you pretty thing and a bad day by an Anonymous writer who I would literally DIE to read more work by are so gd good. Very sexy and compelling mean Dabi x Reader x Shigaraki dubcon/noncon.

And now for fics and authors that are not Dabi-centric, but that I can never NOT recommend.

@shig-a-shig-ah has a really lovely Dabi one-shot, Full Circle. But the majority of their content is Shigaraki-centric and HOLY SHIT are they just a master at it. Addicted to Bad Ideas (In-Progress) and Paper Skin (Complete) are absolute masterpieces, and I'm also a particular fan of their one-shots Tutelage and Assistance - two noncon voyeur fics guest-starring All for One and Redestro respectively.

@nonobadcat also writes a lot of amazing villain content - including multi-chapter fics for underwritten characters like Mr. Compress and All for One. Their Shigaraki long fic A Taste of Your Own Venom is so well-plotted and has such an interesting MC, and it's currently left off in a really satisfying place. ^_^ A Blistering Affection is some A+ yandere Chisaki too.

GRIEFING by rotworld is the quintessential Shigaraki fic. It hasn't been updated since 2020, but I think it leaves off in a decently satisfying place and is always worth a reread imo.

[[save scum]] by @feral-creep is another masterpiece (damn, all you Shiggy stans are so talented xD). Super unique concept, great MC, and the beginnings of some sweet Dabi/Reader/Shigaraki action.

The Danger Next Door by @ratmonky is freaking chilling. AU Stalker!Shigaraki where they actually still have quirks! I'm not sure if they're planning on finishing this, but god, it's so compelling and creepy that I think it's definitely worth a read regardless.

That's what I got for now! There are so many stupidly talented writers in this fandom, particularly in our lovely little villain corner so this list is definitely not exhaustive, but I hope this gives you some fun new reads in the meantime!

I think I figure out WHY the "Shig's reveal" and "dabi's reveal" makes me frown. Its bc Hori is shitting on Nana in a subtle way.

And before anyone says "I'm tripping" I can explain my case.

Look when we see the Dabi reveal, it was a result of foreshadow and was meet with importante for the story (😒alledgly as you know Hori...) so it was indeed a big moment. And note how it was Dabi who said who he was.

Now Shig? He is the grandson of Nana Shimura. What we know about Nana? 0. We do know A LOT about Endy, he is present figure in the narrative but...Nana Shimura? NOPE.

It was afo who told am who shig was(when Shig wasnt present) and again, what we know about Nana? What was foreshadow?

Look in my fics I do make the Shimuras be seen as quasi-royalty! But in canon....who fucking knows? No one seems to give a fuck when they died. Only AM cares for Nana's death and at the same time...he is ok in letting bk mock her(yes. Hori but please this is so insidious...bk is mocking the only female user. One who had a sad ending and...is being mocked by Hori's lover)

This should have been Shig's moment. After some development...after foreshadow and we see how the Shimuras were a big deal for the story/society...he reveals who he IS. But nope.

I feel like this links back to Hori just not really giving a shit about One For All or any of the holders except for the barest hints of plot.

Similarly, Shig Hori doesn't care all that much for in my opinion which is why we don't see too much in the way of development. Shig and his family should have got more focus, his orgins should have been built up and hinted at till we got given the pay off due to a flashback during the MVA arc. That would have made it much more impactful.

But Hori actually cares for and likes writing Bakugou and Endeavour who have less importance to the story and are his favourite "redeemed" abusers that he likes to glorify.

All this stuff about Endeavor, his backstory, his past - yes it gives him a reason for being the way he is 'obsessed with strength' but is it needed? No. Some people are just egotistical and driven - that's all Endeavor needed to be. This to me reads as Hori trying to excuse Endeav's behaviour to his family by saying "See look he's traumatised! Feel sorry for him!" when

There's no excuse for being a domestic abuser.

There's no excuse for engaging in a quirk marriage.

There's no excuse for beating and neglecting children

Or having children for the sole purpose of fullfuling his goals!

Or for pressuring a spouse to produce children until she gives him Shoto. (Rei literally said "No" to anymore children after Fuyumi and Endeav disregarded her wishes and made her have Natsuo then Shoto... That act literally made Endeav a rapist. So why is this still so up for debate among the fandom and why is Hori intent on redeeming him?!)

Also the translation of this is a bit up for debate so I'm not 100% on this - but if it is actually Enji's Dad who died trying to save a kid, that's some irony there since Endeav was trying to kill himself with Touya a while ago!

As for Bakugou, he has a plot armour on the level of a fucking Gundam. Logically, All Might would be furious at Bakugou disrespecting Nana that way and not just shrug it off. So to see All Might actually shrug off the insults to Nana in canon creates a very weird cognitive dissonance - isn't this someone All Might loves / cares for deeply? Wtf?

TLDR: The Shimuras, Shimura Nana, Shig and the One for All Holders deserved much more screentime, development and build up than they got.

Whereas both Bakugou and Endeav don't deserve all this focus.

hello!! i cannot put into words how obsessed with your writing i am! i’m sure you get this all the time but everything from the dialogue to the plot development to the character dynamics is absolutely insane. Seriously if i could write even half as well my ego would be so high it’s a miracle that you are so humble. Your soulmate series is genuinely the best series i’ve ever read on any site! I don’t know if this is odd to say but you write every character like they genuinely are your soulmate. If you said that you know them personally and intimately i would fully believe you. Obviously i have no clue what you do for a living but if it’s not writing you should 100% consider it because the world would be so much better off with more of your work.

I am so devastatingly interested in the shigarki route that you’re writing. His character arc is so interesting and he’s so complex that i’m buzzing with excitement to see what angle you approach while writing for him. Actually with the latest manga chapters, it’s so interesting how the core villains of the series have been denied humanity in some way by the general public and how that’s contributed to how they view themselves and the world (Shigarki especially). You captured that turmoil soo fucking well with Dabi’s route. I just know Shigarki’s chapter is gonna be what kills me.

goddd yes shigaraki is such a little weirdo and i've been so conflicted about where to go with him!!! he's difficult to write, esp. bc fanon and canon are very different; a lot of fanon grounds his behaviour when he's still incel-blue-hair-immature-gamer guy, and he's.............not even really mean? esp. not to the league??? rude, yes, but AFO has trained him to think of himself as an authoritative figure of respect, so of course when dabi is shit-talking tomura like he's just some guy, tomura is gonna get upset about that. he's mostly........pretty polite. eerily calm. not easily scared or startled.

but like. if you read a shigaraki fic, it's expected that he's gonna throw you around or steal your underwear, or something. so i'm nervous that some people are gonna read his route and think he doesn't sound like himself!!! and maybe he doesn't, but i tried v hard; i've reread a bunch of the manga and rewatched some of the anime to take notes about his dialogue and inflection, but i get nervous that bc he's not matching with popular fanon stuff that people are gonna be like "this is just [other character] in a shigaraki hat." but i try. shigaraki is a tough dude to write.

i've been reading shigaraki as being objectified (not in a sexy sense but in a literal sense) in the manga for a long time, so it's validating and awful to see all of these characters just fucking announce that shigaraki is a thing. feels weird, especially bc so much of the manga has been moving towards a message of a kinder humanity, even though i'm not certain hori is pulling that off as clearly as it could be. i worry, but shig is gonna come back to being tenko at the end, i think. i hope this comes across in his route!!!!

This person asked a great question and I am taking this opportunity to highlight my headcanon, obviously you don't have to agree with this, but this is a fundamental part of how I write Shigaraki and hopefully if you're reading my stuff you enjoy that!

As for my headcanon on how Shigaraki learned all this stuff: I literally start with the fact that he just. Goes to the mall. He goes to the mall when he's in a bad mood, and in the early series that is the ONLY time we see that he is completely unsupervised by AFO or Kurogiri. Presumably that means that prior to his debut as a villain during the USJ incident, he must have done normal things when he wasn't training with AFO. Given AFO and All Might fucked each other up severely 3 years prior to that debut, I think that means that between the ages of 16-19 Shig had more free time to go and do more normal things while AFO was getting treatments to slowly turn into more of a thumb. I think somewhere during that time he hooked-up with someone random (I also think that he probably may have accidentally killed them with his quirk because sometimes caution has to be written in blood), and having the obsessive personality that he does and ALSO with his time away from base being his 'teenage rebellion' moments, he started having a string of hook-ups. I think he slept with guys, gals, non-binary pals, whoever caught his eye, and I think he also did a lot of research online about different kinks and subcultures. I think he tried a lot of stuff including subbing at one point and very quickly figured out that he already doesn't have much control in his life and absolutely hates giving it up in the bedroom too. From there it was all about 'leveling up' so he could be the best dom he could just because that was something that he picked to do for himself and AFO really couldn't have any input on (or at least I fucking HOPE he wouldn't). Scream Therapy

Pairing: Tomura Shigaraki x gender neutral!reader

So you know those tiktoks where people go out into the woods and scream? Just like expel all the shit that’s been holding them down into an open field and let the earth reclaim all their dark, restless energy? Reveal the burdens that have been creaking in their joints and trapped in the prison of their ribs for the trees to swallow?

I’ve been thinking about that and Shigaraki a lot. 

Like the rest of the league too, but mostly Shigs. 

Just imagine: 

It’s late, it always is when shit is going down at the hideout. The League of Villains is practically nocturnal at this point. Shigaraki’s mind is a loud place—lot’s of rabid, train tearing down the track lines of thought that clatter and roar and gush toxic coal smoke.

So as annoyed as he makes himself out to be, he doesn’t actually mind the din of the bar all that much. Twice and Toga chattering in the corner, random bits of too loud laughter and the clink of Kurogiri polishing glasses as he tells off Dabi for the umpteenth time about smoking inside—hell, even Compress rambling about the health benefits of high quality wine to nobody in particular is somewhat...comforting?

That’s not quite the right word, but their noise settles around him a bit like a thick quilt and dampens the rampage inside his head for a while.

He thinks about a lot of things.

Some good, most bad, all obsessive. He’ll get stuck in these loops sometimes, small questions evolve into bigger, more complicated webs, and suddenly it’s been four hours and he’s done nothing but stare at the same spot on the wall just left of his desktop monitor.

Sleep is a terrifying venture for much the same reason. Once he gets caught in that cycling it’s so hard to break out, and that’s when he’ll stumble down the stairs and sequester himself away at the end of the bar.

There he will sit and listen to the incessant white noise of his team—which is frustrating too but infinitely better than whatever anxiety coated sludge his brain will come up with if left to its own devices, so he bears it.

And then there’s you.

Who you are isn’t entirely important.

Maybe you’re just another member of the League, dedicated to helping your boss spread villainy across the city. Maybe you’re a morally ambiguous civilian who just stumbled in much like a stray cat into a depressed college student’s apartment and simply never left.

Whatever the circumstances, where you came from doesn’t matter.

To him, your contributions to the din are just another layer of insulation against the storm. He couldn’t really care less what you do, or where you go when you weren’t there. As long as your voice could offer a different type of grating against his ears than the silent throbbing of his head when he is alone, then your presence is justified.

Shigaraki only takes notice of you when you leave, when your voice is no longer adding to the uproar drowning out whatever new thought spiral he was trying to claw his way out of.

It’s very late then. That odd, in between time when it’s closer to the sunrise than to it’s setting but somehow also the darkest portion of the night. Of course, it’s never totally dark—not with all the light pollution laying an ever present, glowing haze across the horizon—but it’s as close as it gets out here to pitch black.

He catches the tail end of your coat, a glimpse of your shoe soles as you slip up the stairs and climb the wrought iron ladder that leads to the roof. Shigaraki often catches himself wondering how you figured out exactly how to avoid each board that creaked. He thinks sometimes it’s because you like going unnoticed, that too much attention makes you feel just as shaky as he gets when he’s been inside his head too long. Or possibly you just don’t want to wake anyone up in the rare moments that some League members are actually asleep.

Regardless, he watches you go and feels strangely...compelled to follow and because he rarely feels compelled to do anything unless it’s furthering the downfall of hero society, he does.

He takes an unsteady step, then another until the brisk, cusp-of-summer air is washing over him. It bites through his thin black top and the worn holes in his jeans, but the sting feel likes something.

And since he almost always feels nothing at all, it’s good.

You’re stood a few feet from the edge of the building, where the ledge has begun to crumble away from age and poor maintenance. The wind is strong enough that it makes your limp arms sway by your sides. Shigaraki is so thin now, he’s almost afraid for a moment it might blow him away. He’s found himself feeling so insubstantial as of late, it’s shocking when his feet don’t lift off from the roof entirely. He crosses the distance towards you slowly. 

If you hear him approaching, you don’t show it.

Normally he wouldn’t start a conversation of his own volition but he did follow you up here and the silence is getting a bit deafening, even with the breeze.

“What are you doing here?” he asks.

It’s simple, but it’s all he can think to say. Funny, with how many words that run through his head, he can never find the right ones when he wants them.

You turn then, and your face is...well it’s a face. He tends not to look at people’s faces much—doesn’t want to see their expressions when they look at him, but from what he can tell you aren’t upset that he’s here at least.

“I love the city at night.”

That’s all you offer in response and he knows somehow that you’ll keep talking even if he doesn’t answer. That you know how much he hates the quiet but can’t ever fill it himself.

“When you’re up high enough, you can pretend the streetlights are stars,” you divulge, as if it’s some sort of great, long kept secret.

Maybe it is.

Maybe you have a lot of secrets. You seem to him like the type of person who would. Who keeps life changing truths tucked under your tongue to drop suddenly over convenience store dinners and cheap beer.

He thinks that maybe he’d like to know them.

“It’s always so alive during the day, the streets I mean,” you continue, eyes trained out on the buildings below, tracing constellations from block to block. “But I can’t shake the feeling that it’s rotting too like….”

You trail off and don’t finish the thought, but you don’t have to. He knows what you mean: like the city is a wound that’s festering. That all the people and the heroes that corral them like cattle are just an infection waiting to spread.

“What are you doing here?” he asks again, because he hasn’t been able to come up with anything else.

Your gaze flits over his face this time, and Shigaraki almost misses the small smile that plays at your lips. He’s close enough now that you could touch him, and you almost do, shoulders just inches away from brushing. But you don’t close the gap.

You touch the others, a lot actually, though he gets the sense you’re the type to ask first. And with his mind running on overdrive every waking second, he gets overstimulated easily. He should probably be thankful you aren’t as familiar with him. That you bother to notice the distance he keeps even when he rarely pays you any mind.

Maybe you’re thankful for that too.

“You know, scream therapy is a very effective and cheap alternative to professional intervention,” you say matter of factly in response.

He waits for you to continue and you do.

“There’s no one out this late but heroes on patrols and they won’t come to help us, so this is a perfect opportunity to give it a try.”

He can feel his brow knitting together and you raise your hand for a second as if to smooth your thumb over the wrinkled skin. Shigaraki doesn’t move, but watches your fingers pause in mid motion and drop back down.

There’s a strange charge in the air between you—a spark he distantly wishes would ignite if only so he could stop churning in his gut.

“How do you do it?”

He’s never asked so many questions of anyone in his life. But he finds he truly wants to know.

And you’re the one that can show him.

You breathe deeply beside him, letting your eyes drift shut and taking a step towards the ledge. With hands balled into righteous little fists, you bend a bit at the waist and you...scream.

Shigaraki isn’t quite sure what he’d expected, but for some reason it wasn’t that.

He’s heard shouts before, cries for help or out of fear, but nothing like this. The sound seems to bubble up from some deep, dank pit inside you and bursts forth from your mouth like a geyser spewing boiling water from the earth. It’s long and low and loudloudloud. It isn’t a sound he could ever imagine you making, but it rumbles in his chest as if it’s his own.

Just watching has a weight lifting from his shoulders.

You keep going even when he knows you should have run out of air. But you aren’t really making the noise, you’re just letting it escape. He’s not sure how he knows that but he does.

Your voice cracks and snaps and rages forth and you scream in a way he feels in his very bones. The garbled, awful sound is so clearly understandable despite the wind that carries it away.

It says: I am free and young and can feel none of it.

And then it’s words. Words that tumble from you in a torrent.

About your family, about what’s been done to you, what you’ve done to yourself.

About the lies and the injustice of it all.

You’re heaving by the end, deflated as though all the screams had left behind an empty space—an abscess drained and ready to heal over or fill back up.

“It’s your turn.”

Shigaraki stares at you, silhouetted by the dull, silver glow of the city and panting. You both look at each other for a moment, reveling in the odd connection that sometimes forms between strangers who know far too much about each other.

He doesn’t think he could top that, but the energy you’ve created is invigorating and he’s determined to ride the wave while he has it.

Taking a step, he joins you by the ledge again, and you back up as if allowing him into the spotlight. The wind will swallow whatever he says, it will eat the words like a starving behemoth and he finds himself ready to feed the beast.

He has to dig deep, scratch at old sores to make them bleed again, tear at scabs so he can let the contaminating thoughts leak out. Once he feels like he’s breached far enough, Shigaraki takes a breath.

And he screams.

His body doubles over with the strength of it, foot slamming down onto the roofing and four fingers fisted in the hem of his shirt.

It hurts coming out, rips at his vocal chords and has his throat raw to bleeding after just the first few seconds but he pushes past it.

He wonders if this is what a runner's high feels like, when you’ve pushed beyond the side stitches and knee aches and your blood finally rushes with all those elusive feel good chemicals he never has enough of.

Whatever it is, the feeling is addicting.

Shigaraki is dimly aware of you in his peripheral, encouraging the tsunami thoughts in his head to be thrust out into the uncaring arms of the city skyline.

Surprisingly, he doesn’t have to search for the words. They simply come. All his frustrations, some he wasn’t even conscious of, spill fresh and steaming like blood. Physically, his body remains but somewhere in the depths of his mind he is younger and hurt and alone and trying desperately to scream.

“I destroy everything I touch!” he roars at the apathetic, grey sidewalk below.

After the last word leaves him, he feels the same weightlessness he’d seen in the sag of your shoulders. The same snapping of the coil slack in his spine.

And suddenly, with this glorious, awful sense of revelation, Shigaraki realizes that everything in his head has gone quiet.

He’s over taken by a silence that requires no filling, a peace that he’d imagined only existed at the bottom of abandoned wells, far away from any chubby child’s hands that may toss foolish wishes down them.

Shigaraki nods, feeling relief from the cold he hadn’t quite been aware of till now. He’s not sure if you’ve ever addressed him so informally before, but he decides he likes the nickname.

It feels a bit like a gift.

“Better, yeah?”

He’s not really sure if it’s better, but it is different and it’s been impossibly long since anything has been different, so he thinks it must be good.

“Yes,” he says.

It’s a general yes, both to your question and to you, whatever that might mean. He doesn’t say anything more because he’s done enough talking and you nod like you understand.

Neither of you moves to leave the roof, but you do inch closer to him this time, closing the gap and tucking him into your side. Your arm is slung gently across his shoulders and he finds the weight of it relieving.

That seems like it shouldn’t make since but it does—a paradox of sorts, weight being a comfort.

Then the sun begins to rise and it’s as if he’s seeing you in a new light.

Your profile outlined by the stark daybreak rays, so horribly strong despite the scream he knows is forming again under the surface.

And Shigaraki wonders if you see him that way too.

Also I may be alone on this but I think Izu should have been a villain or be with Shig (not shippong talking) like, they could have balanced each other. I say always, it makes 0 sense for Izu think bk is cool.

But why I think they would be a good duo?

1) Shig never called him deku. NEVER

2) Izu is a very smart person and could have helped in Shig's plans. Also...forced the man to have more emotional maturity. I dont think he is a manchild - looking at AFO, what is up with fandom to give he bad traits of character A to character B?- just he could grown that mindset.

3) Their goals could be more sympathetic. The hero commission and how people sit idly as let heroes to break their backs to save one person.

4) also the contrast of how Shimura vs Midoriya can be perceived. Like, in a non war era, imagine people find out he is a Shimura? Would people try to reach and "save" him? Would they offer the same courtesy to Izu?

5) Shig is canonically fine with quirkless stuff. Imagine Izu in such positive enverioment for once. "But Shig is a villain?" Yes. And he would change for the best too. Grant in this au...I dont see necessity of LoV and they would nees to be more morally grey and not "kill is fun" (I can see this working only with Shig)

6) The arcs would make sense. The mc and Shig are facing bigger enemies, we see their struggles and their wins

7) Izu beating up BK. Its not a big challange, he could have done this ages ago...all he needes was someone to tell him YOU CAN DO IT

8) AFO has 2 haters who are about to destroy him.

9) imagine AM reaction to know afo was destroyed by shig and Izu.

I may be off here but like...only Shig seems to react positively to Izu being quirkless or to quirkless stuff. And look, at this point, Izu and Shig should go destroy stuff together.

I do like the Villian!Izu trope in fanfics (although its really hard to find one where he is not obsessed with Bkg or the story isn't BkDk 🤮.)

Also I do see Izu and Shig as a good team as well, I have mentioned before how I believe Shig should have been the rival of MHA.

I agree with the points you listed about Izu and Shig and how they could have made a good duo. The LOV would need to be more morally grey to make this work too and both Izu and Shig could easily grow off each other - Shig growing out of the "Destroy everything" motivation and for Izu to stop seeing himself as useless.

Also canonically, bar Toga, the main three villian's being "saved" all have a connection to a hero, Shig to Nana and Dabi to Endeav and Shoto. So would Villian!Izu be offered the opportunity to be saved? A child villain is sympathetic however no one seems to care too much about Mustard so that's an interesting question to think about. I do think in this AU Shig would insist upon Izu being saved with him if a hero tries to save / redeem him.

Izu deserves every opportunity to dunk on both Bakugou and AFO (AFO with Shig's help.) I can see AM being very proud of them (even if they are both villains) wrecking AFO's legacy together.

Starting off with one of my fave shigis. I love this illustration of him. I think it was pretty early on too, maybe at the mall miniarc? Waay before Shigi was given character development anyway. I just love how this picture shows the true colors of those hands. Here, he doesn’t look like the monster that he’s supposed to be in the heroes’ narrative. The hands are swarming him, choking him, grabbing him obsessively from every angle. Hori says he hates drawing unexpressive hands, and yet this illustration is the opposite of that. Those are very clearly portrayed as stifling, controlling hands that have an abusive hold on him. I just think it’s very neat visual storytelling.

Introspective Shigi has a sort of beautiful melancholy to him that is second only to the Todofam. He looks so young here. I love this panel

Ik deku is meant to save shigs, but honeslty I want deku and hawks to, like they have such a similar way of things like the "I wana save everyone" kinda. especially after this arc with how fucked up deku got and how urarakas speech gave hope to (pretty much everyone there shes an angel) deku And hawks (more focused on deku too but hawks was lighting up) Like I want to see shiggy, whos been manipulated and abused his whole life, whos had his world and self views shaped by this evil guy, interact with hawks, who was essentialy sold as a child to work for the hspc, who was told he was allowed to kill civilains (for gaining dabis trust, ya know curropt gov n shit, but that makes me wonder what else they would've 'allowed' him to do) and still has so much hope for people and refused to bend to their will- where shig was forced to bend to someones will through manipulation. GOD AND DEKU, a literal child who's been put through so much shit directly from Shig, still wants to do everything he can to save him. Like I think that dynamic would be so interesting, hawks and deku still both have the same mindset for saving and people, where shigs is just full of hatred and hurt. I THINK THEY'RE COOL. God and adding Dabi (though I doubt he's stil working with the league since he literally doesn't care about them) like dude is filled with so much hatred for just one man, it literally drove his entire life for the last like 10~ years, hes willing to kill his baby brother just to ruins this mans life, like its not a hatred/anger for people like Shig, its just this obsession with one guy but being willing to do Anything to anyone else to hurt him

Broooo yes I really wanna see them interact especially Deku since he changed so much in recent chapters!! Makes me hope that they can find a way for an entirely new approach on society since neither of them is 100% good or evil (except the kids the kids are good they are children pls). Gotta be honest i don't like hawks but I do think he is a super interesting character to have for this story. To have someone that KILLS people considered a pro hero is so ironic and especially the fact that he likes endeavor so much shows how different the perspectives of each character are. Like look at Dabi that would do everything to end endeavor while Hawks is quite the opposite and feels like he owes him. Imagine a therapy session with em all talking about childhood LMAO 😭 I really do like all their parallels and how they are so similar but yet turned out so different. I haven't read the newest chapters but I am hoping for new interactions and since Deku wants to save Shig I'm gaining new hope that this manga miiiight have and ending I will not hate

ngl when mic snapped at kurogiri for looking after shigs i almost threw my tablet cuz DAMN!! he’s a zombie AND a teen mom, and he didnt have a choice in either!!! he deserves justice and a vacation!!!

it cuts deep bc shigs himself was too emotionally stunted to act right, and i have no doubt afo was hands-off with child-rearing since he was so obsessed with drilling hatred into him, so with shigaraki’s trauma and afo’s emotional neglect, i KNOW kurogiri did NOT have a good time the last fifteen years of his miserable existence raising a child who was pretty much raised to become a murderer and overall menace.

however, despite the many tragedies, i am HOPING that once the heroes are defeated, shigaraki’s newfound maturity will make him less crabby, and that he will rescue his mother from prison and finally treat him with respect for once. lord know it’s the least kurogiri deserves.

here’s to hoping shigs pays for kurogiri’s vacation, new clothes, and maybe some therapy for his fucked up memories so people can stop making fun of him for being a zombie teen mom
