What will happen to Daemon’s story since Nettles is gone?

Well, different than everyone else, I think will happen but will happen in different way, Nettles is cut out, but similar to Young Griffin, they are giving parts of her arc to different characters.

First they making Mysaria and Rhaenyra a romantic relationship,therefore, it gives Mysaria motivation for feeding Rhaenyra's paranoia regarding Daemon, making more about jealousy and attempts to end this relationship than her grasping for power. So this part is happening.

So I think they can go with two options, first she could feed Rhaenyra's paranoia by implying that Daemon is having something with Baela or Rhaena. And again I think is possible and I do believe Daemon will come back showing more support for his daughters. But there is problems with that because Rhaena and Baela, don't have Nettles anti-war message, they are to much of supports of Rhaenyra to make that plot work.

It need to be someone that is a outsider to Rheanyra become really paranoid about it and even send people to kill her. It needs be someone that that make Daemon question his own acts about war and that is not Rhaena and Baela because they are so pro-war characters and supporters of Rhaenyra for that.

And the only character that fits this is Alys, until now. And I just connected this possibility last episode. But the changes they made with her character kind makes her fits in this place and how their dinamic plays out also fits too, because they do look closer and closer, and that as well was a big change if they did that change is for some reason.

We saw how they set up Rhaena claiming a dragon last season. And I don't think they would spend so much time with Alys and Daemon if they aren't cooking something more.

And if the leaks are real about Heleana and Aemond this just add even more but making they constantly parallels between Daemon and Aemond. And narrative foils.

So it adds to much up for me this last option. But I don't know. Is just my theory, I could be wrong.

obviously i don’t like, love, some of the changes to the show but i think the first half does a great job of setting it up to where you can see both alicent and rhaenyra are surrounded exclusively by much older men who want to fuck them, and have just no way of knowing who is being genuine with them. because no one is really! so you have episode 4, where alicent is sleeping in a room with pornographic art on the wall and being called to her husband’s bed and she can’t say no, and he’s not going to do anything to make the whole thing even marginally easier for her. and then you have rhaenyra, pulled from her bed by her uncle to a brothel, and she’s completely exposed, and she’s experiencing new things, and he’s purposefully trying to make this feel good but also overwhelming for her, then abandons her drunk & confused & half naked. this is The Same Thing - they’re both being used and manipulated by a much older man, but because that manipulation looks different, they react different. but it’s still manipulation.

i agree with your fears of Alysmond next season, and after watching season 2 I'm convinced they are setting up Aemond to be the big villain of the show. Hell, they even made Helaena of all people show disgust towards him (but then she talks to her son's murderer in a vision ffs). Alys will most likely just manipulate him to lead him to the God's Eye... they really should've just let Alys be a nefarious character with her own agenda.

Having Alys and Helaena just straight out tell Daemon and Aemond their fates was so STUPID, has killed all suspense and excitement. I can't believe the writers thought that was poetic :(

And yes. Having Alys befriend Daemon and yap about Rhaenyra really strips Alys of her mysterious element. She's now apparently a Team Black player and Gayle accidentally admitted such on her Instagram.

I actually do have ideas for her in this AU!

Basically my thoughts on her is that she is kind of the "middle child" between Marguerite (Maggie) and Philip and is kind of in an awkward teen insecurity place due to her older sister being more accomplished/outgoing/attractive and "grown up" and Philip being more doted on.

Philip still gets the very "God's Special Gift" treatment by Louis, due to being the Only Boy(tm) but also because he was kind of prone to various sickness/injury as a kid so Louis and Adele worry over him a lot. 

Philip as he gets older is more resentful of the overprotectiveness but his being rebellious or having a bad attitude about things is generally more tolerated by his parents. Meanwhile the girls kind of have a mix of the performative Father-Daughter Protectiveness, but Louis is very awkward about "girl issues" especially re: puberty and sexuality stuff so he just leaves that to his wife.  I like the idea of still in this AU or Adele being Alys and Maggie's stepmom as well, so there's also that awkward  emotional distance between them. She's close to her sister but since Maggie is busy with her social life and bf she doesn't have much time to spend with her (and Alys is self conscious about coming across too young/"baby" in comparison to the older girls)

Anyways for Alys specifically she kind of is a little envious of the fatherly doting but also bc of neglect ends up having a bit more freedom to roam around. I would think I'm this AU since they're closer/in the same house she does care for Philip and wants to have more of a relationship with him, since they do share some similarities, but he's in a stage of aggressively wanting to distance himself from "girly" things and developing his own brand of weird women resentments lol.

She has baby crush on Richard bc he the only one of the Plants boys who doesn't actively harass her bc he forgets she exists. I did have an idea of a storyline where they do have sex (did some comic and art here)  but it was Cringe for everyone involved, makes all feelings fizzle out and die, no one was satisfied with it etc (except for the Geoff Junior who think they are geniuses)

Good thing there's someone willing to listen to her and make her feel better though....

Anyways in the end she is a lot like her father and brother in being prone to anxiousness and stubbornness, but definitely in vulnerable place due to the lack of attention and self esteem jdjfjfj

You were left behind. After the war, you searched and searched and searched, and yet he was nowhere to be found. And still you searched for him. Until finally you could search no more. You had to accept that your beloved had moved on before you—without you.

You would have descended into madness if not for the black invitation that found its way to you. With no reason to continue with something fruitless, you moved on. Improving yourself to make up for the lost time spent on him. So, when the carriage came for you, you dawned the ceremonial robes, entered the Gate, and descend into your rebirth.

“The nature of your soul is…Ignihyde.”

You felt neither upset nor elated. You simply returned to your seat, and waited for when your Dorm Leader escorted you back to your dorm. However, right as the ceremony was brought to an end, one final student made their appearance.

“Of course it did!” He was telling the truth, the taste of his Aether flooded your senses. You knew he was telling the truth, but…

“Then…why couldn’t I come with you…?” You crumpled into him, finally releasing all 485 years of…everything.

He followed you to the floor, and held you close. “I’m sorry. For everything, I am.”

“Then explain.” You felt the weight of him, physical and magical, on you. As if that story had been wearing down his shoulders for centuries now.

However, right as he opened his mouth, three sharp knocks at his door interrupted him.

“Father, I—” It was a silver haired human boy with periwinkle eyes. “Oh, it’s you.”

You tilted your head. “And who am I, child?”

“You are Father’s partner.”

You felt his fear, your rage, an ice-cold feeling, then—

I'll be 100, I came up with the plot of this while in the shower, and completely forgot what the request said, so that's why it's kinda sorta backwards premise wise. As for the fluff...the story wanted to be written this way. Don't worry, the ending hurt me too, I actually had to pause and before writing it because I knew it would be really mean.

I am taking a marker to the Orientalist view of Tyanna and scribbling it all out. She wasn’t walking around like an evil seductress in one sheer layer of gauze she was decked out in fine fabrics, layers and layers of satin and silk and soft linen in order to create detailed skirts and soft shawls. Her rise to power is very evident through her clothing, because no former bastard courtesan would be dressing like one once they rose through the ranks.
