Daphne - The Spy

She's already been established as being the most physically inclined, a great beauty, and handilly going behind enemy lines (ie getting kidnapped); all traits of a femme fatale. in my canon, daphne really operates as the gang's Body (Wo)Man. In a crime ring she would be The Muscle. I really like the idea that Daphne is classically trained at a young age in all sports; her family may not have be as weslthy as Shaggys but theyve def made some money being world class athletes. This idea also lends itself to the idea that daph was the most well travelled before meeting Mystery Inc, her family always loved to bring her to their competitions, shes been to every Wimbledon cup, etc. While daph is well cultured and great at meeting new people, i do not think she would describe herself as an extrovert altho u cant deny shes warm and welcoming (as much as anyone in the gang is! theyre really a great group of kids). Growing up with a lot of sisters, Daphne is the one most acclimated to team work (maybe they did a lot of team sports growing up?). The reason this doesnt automatically translate to out of this world people skills is because her ability to work with others is strongly rooted in being familiar with her team. She grew up with her sisters and has been friends with Mystery Inc for a long time too; shes built up a repartee with her group and really relies on her understanding of them and their understanding of her to be as efficient as she is. In this way, she and Scooby really hold the group together. Definitely a Actions Speak Louder Than Words type which is why people who dont know her well are so willing to overlook her as a vapid prettygirl; ie when daph spots a clue shes more likely to "wow look at that!" and point rather than "hey velma that glowing orb looks really similar to the one the ghost is always haulin around" Daph and Kim Possible would be truly the unstoppable duo.

Fred - The Mechanic

Breaking off of the 'Traps Guy' prototype that Mystery Incorporated set up for us; Fred has always been the one at the steering wheel. Everyone loves a Himbo Fred moment but i know hes capable of great specialization just like velma daph shaggy and scoob are. Hes not an air head hes just thinking about a V8 engine vs a Turbo ykno? I do want to lean into the idea that Fred works with his hands and works with contraptions (velma is the gizmo girl tho) and works with CARS and is knowledgeable about them! very, Mona Lisa from My Cousin Vinny/Rosalie from Twilight (ie gets under their car + is hot) but because i want all these kids to be multi faceted, id like to explore the other half of cars which is Travelling. in this day in age, seeing the world is so marketable which is why i can see fred being the one with biggest internet influence. More so than that, fred keeps the team on the move, books accomodations, plans the roadtrips, has the biggest thirst to see the world (maybe thats one of the things that first pulls him and daph together, shes already seen so much of it before they met) Out of the group, i think Fred has the closest relationship with his parents (i think this was shown in some of the tv shows? If not, this is my canon) Fred, despite loving to work with cold hard metal, is maybe the most deeply feeling of Mystery Inc. he really jumps on cases after meeting the people who are most severely impacted by them. This would also explain why hes so inclined to 'himbo moments', he doesnt mind making the less rational choice if it means he can help his fellow man. He and scooby are def the most socially inclined; fred bc he really cares about People (thats why hes a traveller, meeting new people is one of the fun parts!)

Hear me out!!!! Norville Rogers is known to be: Concerned about his bodily safety and RICH! Tell me which profession that is besides Doctor and ill rework this whole thing. i think this really works for shaggy, hes by no means materialistic but mans has grown up with the silver spoon and can really appreciate luxurious creature comforts like quality bed linens. Like. that plain green t shirt is Hermés dont get it twisted. this also works bc as the groups highroller, we now know how this op is funded (aside from being paid for their detective work:freds blog but like..we really didnt see that often. id like them to be able to do this as a fulltime hobby if they so choose) Aside from this, we know some of Shaggys other great loves are Food and Not Being Physically in Danger. I wouldnt be surprised if one of his parents or older relatives made their money in medicine, allowing shaggy to grow up in that scape. omg id love if this doctor relative was a mentor to shaggy but also a bit of a hypochondriac; maybe shaggys scaredy cat tendencies have roots in his relative's anxieties. I think Shaggys fear comes from a good place, he just wants him and his friends to be healthy happy and whole. In line with medicine, Shaggy is the one who pushes the team to take care of themselves and take much needed time to recuperate from the stress of solving mysteries. As an only child, he can be seen as a foil to Daphne. She has a lot of sisters and did a lot of team sports and became very comfortable working with others. Shaggy was an only child whos only friend was his dog and they prefer to stay in their circles of safety. But both shaggy and daphne have about the same level of social skills lol i think also, bc shaggy grew up without a lot of friends, he is the most conscious of his friendships with the gang. like, he really doesnt take them for granted bc for a long time he did not have any friends at all

Velma - The Professor

Velma velma velma. im kind of dropping the ball with her. i want to develop this a lil further bc i think im leaning too hard on the crutch that is Velma Is The Bookworm. Altho i do think Velma is more interested in the Humanities Vs STEM fields, id say her genius reputation is cultivated from how well rounded her knowledge base is. In terms of academics, Velma is the jack of all trades ( opposite to daphne who is JoaT for athletics). Because of this (and because shes great at all things she puts her mind to) shes is also left with the helm of 'resident hacker'. As im typing this, truly the girls of the gang have very broad interests while the boys are very specialized. Anyways, id say the key to Velma is that shes very good at making more from the sum of the parts. She does not shy away from the grunt work of academia, she knows some Important Things will not be intuitive to her but she will run flashcards on them until theyre reflexive bc she knows having that info on hand will be important at some point. Her ability to take the factoids of life and put them together also makes her the teams True detective, not fred. It just makes more sense imo that Velma is the one to push the team to find and close cases. Obviously everyone in Mystery Incorporated has strong convictions on Right and Wrong but i think Velma sees the beauty and satisfaction of solving puzzles.

Edit on 1 mar: may think of switching role of Gizmo from Velma to Daphne since canonically, Daph is always with her cellie. But instead of making her the vapid airhead glued to her phone shes j really into tech (think felicity from Arrow)

Scooby - The Chef

Scooby! The team mascot! Firstly, scoob is Shaggys *best* friend. It makes sense to me that their interests overlap so much. Scooby has always been known to be a big eater (he *is* a great dane...) but my mans is CULTURED. He eats a lot but its never slop. Given Shaggys keen awareness of health and wellness, im not surprised that scooby has combo-ed that influence with his own love of the culinary arts. Shaggy and scooby have definitely known each other the longest; so how ever old the gang were when they met, in my canon Shaggy and Scooby were the first to become friends and it shows. But obviously theyre all friends, and to the group id say scooby is the hearth (not heart) of the operation as any great relationship starts with a plate of good food. Quiet moments of deep inner contemplation will often happen at Scoobys side and scooby, consciously or not, really provides a place for everyone to be themselves in the same way having to dice 5 onions is meditative. We've seen that scooby is a golden hearted goof ball, i think this could be sourced from a highly admirable sense of humility (ironic since hes the only non human of the group?) Great danes are known to be fierce protectors, and even tho (like shaggy) scoob is a scaredy cat, when push comes to shove he is really protective. Thats why hes so cautious! He really doesnt like seeing his friends in risky situations! My hot take is that *Scooby* is the people person/social butterfly of the group! This whole cast is a band of mis fits, having a dog makes Mystery Inc much more approachable to outsiders. Scooby, being a dog, is great at warming hearts to him and loves to be at the center of attention. In regards to mystery solving, hes also invaluable as a clue finder since his senses are so highly developed.

General Notes

Shaggy and Daphne are the two in the gang who are really Of The Body (shaggys understanding of its inner workings, Daphne being the peak form of a human specimen), while Fred and Velma are Of The Mind (Fred who works with calculations inventions etc and Velma who is a lifelong all rounder academic)

Another dichotomy is that Daphne and Fred are the pragmatic pair while Shaggy and Velma are the theoretic pair

But in general i think a lot of the team has a lot of interests that overlap which keeps them tightly bonded

I was wondering if you had any HC's regarding what a shincelty wedding may look like? What kind of decorations, flowers or music they might choose or what the dresscode may be?

I DO!!!! i think they would have a very small wedding, but almost everybody they care about is there. i think a wedding for them would come a few years post canon after all the dust of the final arc has settled and everyone involved has at the very least started healing from some of what went down. (none of these characters are ever going to like.... actually fully heal. lmao to the very idea. ) i like to hc that shinra wants to cut contact with shingen but cant figure out how to unentwine himself from his father and also is just overall too afraid to actually do it, altho we do see him slowly stand up to him more thruout the canon, so id like to think that he continues to work on that. either way, his dad is at the wedding, because theres no way in hell he realistically could be kept out of it. part of shizuos best man duties are shingen wrangling. he does a terrible job. i do like to think shinra has a relationship with kazane, i think she would be happy to be welcomed into his weird world and is thrilled by how similar they are. id like to think they get pretty close. so she's there also. ive been thinking since i got this ask about whether i think shizuo and izaya could be in the same room with each other post canon and eventually i came to the conclusion that realistically... shizuos not the only person in attendance that would have some issues with izaya at that point, and frankly im not sure izaya would want to be in ikebukuro or near anyone at all. not for a long time at least. i do think shinra and izaya would stay in contact, though- i do think izaya knows about the wedding and initially made some kind of joke at shinra and celtys expense, but deep down hes not sure if hes happy for his friend, bitterly jealous, amused by the concept of something nonhuman getting married, or any other combination of feelings.

the fact that its small does NOT mean shinra didnt drop a fortune on it, though. this is a no expenses spared event. as for decorations i think they lean hard into the black and white. also.. if we want to say cannon started in 2002, this is probably, like. 2013. its tacky. its ugly. its so disgustingly shinra and celty. honestly, i think shinra would have more opinions than celty during wedding planning (which is not helping the tacky thing). theres one thing celty puts her foot down on- she doesnt want to wear a white dress, she wants to make a dress from her regular shadow clothes. shinra whines about that for a split second before he decides that means HE can wear white and then proceeds to get a lab coat/suit jacket monstrosity made which becomes his lifelong go-to formal wear. celty would make her dress something extremely dramatic, like this. after he sees her in her dress shinra feels like an idiot for ever thinking he wanted her to wear white because shes so beautiful and so her in it. they dont give their guests a strict dress code but everyone shows up in the nicest outfit they have.

for flowers, they go all white, but they dont choose typical wedding flowers. i think they would be drawn to things like this:

dies. dies. dies. anyways. i will never forget being like 11 or 12 years old and roleplaying warriors cats on my kindle <- genuinely my introduction to writing for fun outside of just school stuff. i wrote for YEARS and then i all but stopped writing for Also Years to the point where i genuinely thought i just. couldnt do it anymore. gone. i barely managed anything no matter what i tried and i got sooo frustrated and also just didnt really enjoy it? but thats bc my mental health was fucking horrific and the better i started doing the more i started really writing who would've thought LMAO no bc like 2?? years ago ??????? id basically given up !!!!!!! and then there were a couple tiny fics and then photosynthesis and i was like oh. i Can still write and i Do still have so much fun with it. and now i am unstoppable amen

writing is weird bc reading fics CAN help but i think reading books helps better? and its this constant state of like. ive heard with art that tracing genuinely helps, ofc you cant claim it for your own or anything but there's that sort of muscle memory and learned proportions and the practice of doing the same thing over and over again i think is a good thing? i think ??????? and in writing you rly cant copy anyone word for word and get anything out of it, it doesnt teach you anything it doesnt get you any further there's no sort of muscle memory connected with it. but what ive done a lot is looked at writing i rly loved and been like. okay so if i wanted to do this how would i accomplish it? i cant guess other writers thought processes but i can figure out how id reach a similar end goal ig ?? and in my own writing if im failing to accomplish what i want its a matter of ok, what DO i want, what if i change pov, what if i change the setting, what if i change the circumstance, etc etc which i think you could probably do the same thing in art if smth felt off or wasnt looking right ?? maybe ??? idk at this point my writing is a massive patchwork quilt of countless other authors and fic writers and a surprising amount of my own experience and ive noticed a lot of repeating elements in my own writing whether fics or original content and i dont really know How i got here but here i am. and ON TOP OF THAT actually seeing fanart ALSO helps my writing because ill see an expression or design or setting or anything that i really love and immediately start thinking of how to describe it in words yknow ???

no, but all kidding aside, I love megules actually. I think they're my favorite canon disney couple. and it actually says a lot for me, personally, that they are a disney canon straight ship that i enjoy,  lmao  (altho i think the big ‘meg tops pure himbo’ energy of them has a lot to do with it).  but they do have a lot of chemistry that i dont get often from most disney couples, at least in the romantic sense. 

a couple of key points in why i love them under the cut!

i love that hercules is constantly in awe of meg. he’s maybe a little intimidated, definitely a little turned on, but regardless -- he’s always in awe, and he treats her like the goddess she truly deserves to be treated as. he never presumes about her; only worships her as an amazing woman. in many other instances megara would probably be looked down upon for owning her sexuality and being in control of it, unfortunately, but hercules is just hearts in eyes.jpeg always, and like tbh #same. also, regardless of how much he’s attracted to her, he always respects her personal space, which is absolutely not something anyone else does in the film. when in doubt, you see that he especially is very mindful to keep his distance (when he runs away in the garden scene after their date and she’s moving closer to him, basically getting undressed) i think he’s the only man her ~seduction~ has not worked on, at least in the way she expects it to (she tries, hard, to get information out of him in exchange for sex during the garden scene, and she’s fully expecting him to submit to her advances and probably give into sex with her, like most men in that situation have traditionally done), and this really surprises her.

anyway, this isn’t to say hercules deserves a trophy for being, idk, a decent human being who understands women are people with boundaries that you should be careful about crossing, but it’s one of the reasons i do really like them, and find them cute together. 

i also think he’s such a foil for her. he’s naive, soft hearted, idealistic, optimistic. she’s cynical, snarky, jaded. they’ve both also dealt with bullying in their pasts, altho hercules had the fortune of loving parents. in any case, meg thinks his innocence is very endearing. he’s also definitely much younger than she is, and i think megules is one of the only, if not THE only, canon main disney couple in which the woman is obviously older than the man. i find that to also be really intriguing and cute about them!

hercules has a good heart, but he is also not really altruistic. he doesn’t have an attachment to the general public, which is good, because if he did, that’s not something meg really relates to.  she actually appreciates this a lot about him. hercules is a hero, but he’s trying to be a hero for his own gain, and he’s never really hid this. he’s trying to get back to his family. he’s not operating out of a sense of duty to the public. ultimately, he’s trying to fit in, trying to belong. megara is doing the same thing, via different means, but they’re two sides of the same coin in that sense. they’re both self preserving. neither one of them is really claiming to be acting because they’re “good people,” they’re just trying to survive and be happy, and for that i find them both very human. meg, like hercules, has also never fit in or felt at home with anyone. because of this, they really mesh well together.

i also like that their romance has a build up and that we see them even go on a date before falling in love. he’s of course initially attracted to her, but i don’t think she is to him, besides finding him cute, and i find that very realistic. she warms up a lot to him after getting to know him. you do get a sense of genuine chemistry between them that lies beyond “these two argue a lot lol and then they have a relationship!!! couples bicker bc they have sexual tension xoxo” their relationship has stakes, too, and a slow burn, at least in terms of the disney universe. i actually find the arguing/teasing trope to be quite tired, and there’s thankfully none of that between them. hercules never tries to tease meg; he’s certainly not the witty one in the relationship, and he knows it. she gets all of the jabs and he’s just happy to be along for the ride. 

also, they both are willing to lay down their lives for the other one, and they both gain their story arc’s resolution through their sacrificial love for the other. it’s very equal in that way!

basically, i just really like them. i think that megara genuinely adores him. he centers her, he makes her feel safe, at home, respected, appreciated, and like the most beautiful lady in the history of ladies. hercules even calls her more beautiful than aphrodite, which, to meg, who was left previously FOR aphrodite  --  well, it’s what she deserves in a partner, u know.

kenjaku (羂索) is shorten from "不空羂索観音 (fukukenjakukannon)" ,, they existed b4 the heian period... older then sukuna ?? suggested that brain is at least 1k years old... hsjsjjsjs

fukukenjakukannon, a manifestation of the buddhist god of mercy and compassion,, perhaps of some interest is that the fukukenjaku shares some kanji with gojou's infinite void followed by kanjis for trap & rope, with kannon directly referring to an all-knowing/overseeing divine existence. it rly does seem that kenjaku, tengen, and gojou's fates have all been strongly interwined throughout history,, kannon has been perceived as both male and female depending on the portrayal and the region, not unlike jjk's kenjaku switching bodies and genders over the course of time (kamo vs kaori vs getou)

some associations with kannon may be relevant to jjk. namely, as yuki mentions, salvation ,, kannon is a deity to serve his subjects, and resolve their suffering by eliminating its source,,, in which case, i think kenjaku's goal may possibly not be too far off from geto’s ,,,,, he may think that he is saving a group that is enduring greater suffering than any other. whether that is shamans, cursed spirits, or sth else entirely is up for debate. given his persistence over the millenia, and the likelihood of spreading suffering worldwide through a universal tengen merger, it's more than likely that he has a very personal motive. note that under his plan it is specifically the evil of a human that would spread and destroy all of humankind connected through tengen

this is an interesting contrast to sukuna, who is much more whimsical and far less calculated. i think the clash between these 2 in the past will have strong relevance for the future,,, on the other hand, since kannon has historically manifested in response to the suffering of various beings, it may be that the feelings of cursed spirits as a whole have led to kenjaku's existence. he could very well be a curse born from curses, instead of from humans.

okay now what i'm really excited abt: the relationship between kenjaku and the 6 eyes. 1 of the functions of kannon is to protect the 6 realms of rebirth/the 6 paths. u may already be familiar with this buddhist concept as it has been referenced in a variety of animanga (notably it is a major plot point of naruto, it's mukuro's ability in KHR, etc.). there's strong reason to believe this concept also has connections to the gojou 6 eyes ability. i think if we get to learn more abt the 6 eyes, i may be able to speak more on this point.

(as a side note here, i’ll mention that there’s an association between kannon and the protection of aborted children, perhaps relating to og kamo and the death paintings)

at the very least, we know that kenjaku and the 6 eyes are in opposition, and i'm speculating that the gojou bloodline is the true manifestation of a protective deity, at least for the humans, and kenjaku's goals are antithetical to that,,, perhaps, as yuki kind of suggested, taking the name kenjaku is a joke of sorts. if sukuna is malevolence incarnate, kenjaku is mercilesness,,

i think some of the core concepts being explored by the tengen storyline are that of form and existence. gojou satoru, tengen, kenjaku, and eventually the star plasma vessels are existences that transcend the norm,,, toji on the other hand, is the only example of the opposite. an existence that shouldn't have ever existed, in a sense. kenjaku seemed to have used that to his advantage in his manipulation of the events in hidden inventory,,, but it also leads me to believe that only a similar anomaly could undo the new destiny he's setting up for himself.

geto was the perfect piece to set kenjaku up for success in conducting a merger and putting this culling game into motion. geto's path has led to this outcome,,, in which case, an apt parallel as we have known all along is that gojou's path should lead to the counter-outcome: megumi, yuuta, and especially yuuji— these 3 will be the key to unravelling kenjaku's plan.

also tengen said that kenjaku’s objective is to send all the ppl in jpn to higan or turning all non shamans into one but he doesnt have enough cursed energy to do that,,, i did say that yuuji’s birthday took place in the 4th solar term where a part of a week long celebration haru no higan (higan 彼岸→other shore, buddhist pārāmitā), when ppl would honour the dead and sweep ancestral tombs took place,,,

so theres this buddhist mantra, called the “heart sutra” and the last verse of the sutra is,,

there are many sutras in buddhism, but the most well-known among them is probably the Heart Sutra,, altho it depends on the sect (of buddhism), the heart sutra is often read at funerals and memorial services, so even if,, and for some reason the sutra is often associated to kannon even in the utube thumbnail 👁👁 if u search up prajnaparamita sutra,,

the irony though of toji dying thinking that he should've stuck his principles but actually having ridiculous impact on the world,, this also puts a new spin on the "look upon the flesh of one who is free" (afaik it was left untranslated on his cover page when he invade dagon’s domain) and the implication is imo,,, the more cursed energy, the more restrictions and so in a way humanity goes into a devolution the more cursed energy there is because they will be bound even more tightly to the cycle than before,, which is the irony of the kenjaku & bodhisattva linkage

toji had a heavenly restriction and has zero cursed energy, which is an anomaly that is his own, which makes me wonder what he would've been like if he had an expressed technique,,, but it's the zero cursed energy part, that uniqueness, that makes him powerful in canon

I have to confess that i don't remember most of arabic that we were taught in school bc it's a hard language ;_; and also bc i was associating it with things i was struggling with heavily (aka Islam) but years later when i overcame the struggles i regret not committing to learning arabic more bc this language is really beautiful and expressive.

(i used to study german but life got too hectic and i had to drop it and now i dont remember anything)

So, abt your question, i cant exactly call our languages similar since they have very different roots, with arabic having Semitic roots and persian having Indo-European origins. The structure and grammar and most of the words used are deeply different, e.g. persian verb and word conjugation is much easier than arabic's complicated and elaborated one. (One thing most students were struggling so much in learning arabic ;_;)

HOWEVER, we do use arabic writing system and tons of arabic words have become interwoven with persian. (Altho tbh a lot of them have changed a bit in meaning and oh boy do we sure fuck up arabic pronunciations, like the different "s" letters in arabic? We don't pronounce them differently in borrowed arabic words) but nonetheless they have become a permanent part of our language, to the point that many of old poets have an entire line in arabic between persian verses.

(In ways you can liken it to how latin words are abundant in english language tho it has germanic roots and none of the verb conjugations of old latin language)

so i’ve finally finished ffvii remake and here are my thoughts. mostly positive

if you’re going in expecting it to be fully like the original 100% then you’re probably going to be disappointed. but overall, this is one of the FEW games that i actually completed which is goOD

> battle system wise. It’s quite intuitive and wasn’t as difficult as i thought it would be. then again, i played it on easy mode too so hahaha it was rly fun tho > the story really brings your emotions to places gods.... jessie’s death felt so mUCH harder bc she was supposed to die. it wasn’t something that happened bc the enemy’s aim is good or anything but... it hurts knowing that it could’ve been avoided bUT SHE MUST DIE. IM CRYING. I DONT WANT HER TO DIE.

roslyn rly loves solas’ smile. like, it’s small and relatively rare, and she’s constantly trying to bring it out, and she’s always so happy when she does. she’s also very taken w his eyes, bcos they’re beautiful and also where most of his emotions lie. solas is similarly taken w roslyn’s eyes, bcos they’re this pale purple colour that hes just like wowza over. he also rly rly loves her hair; he’s braided it once or twice, and the first time she sorta blinked like, how do u know how to do that, and he started joking abt not always being bald. he loves to hide his face in her hair too when they cuddle. big plus, 10/10, recommended by ancient elven god

oh solas. solas was born to worry. roslyn is constantly gently pushing him to share those worries (which obviously…. doesnt happen) and also trying to pull him out of them. roslyn does worry a lot, but he rly does have her beat

hmmmm depends. i think roslyn, in the beginning, but by the end it’s definitely solas. he finds her very comforting, so her touch is always one he sort of subconsciously seeks out, and he likes playing w her fingers when they’re sitting together

solas solas solas. all he wants to do is dream. roslyn herself is very used to getting out of bed at the crack of dawn, no matter how much sleep she’s had, bcos as a servant she couldn’t exactly lay around all day, so it makes her laugh to see him so sleepy and grumpy. solas is always draping himself on top of her and trying to keep her in bed w him. he does tell her to come back to bed in elven more than once, and she never understands what it means

-also, not to feel bad for alternate vlad (because, he did lie to maddie saying jack blames her and never wants to see her again...) but. being married to a woman 20+ years and she immediately goes back to jack? if she didnt love vlad and feels like she had to hide shit from him, and says she wasted her best years with him, WHY MARRY HIM. it feels like leading him on!!! cannot believe im feeling bad for vlad, but. this alternate timeline vlad is significantly Less Horrible than Our Vlad. did she not think she'd get funding for her ghost stuff? (which, fair assumption since they're considered 'ghost fanatics/nuts in canon...but...) why did she think jack or vlad would be her ONLY OPTIONS? be like your sister. be single. Actually, this au could’ve been really interesting if after the accident, vlad lied to her and said jack never wanted to see her again, but she stays single. Imagine how much that would bug vlad… like, in her mind, it was never a competition it was jack or no one type situation…

“get an animal that’s meant to stay inside” you mean like a domesticated cat??? wild cats are meant to be outside. any cat you own or could own is MEANT TO BE INSIDE. humans bred them to be INDOOR ANIMALS. and, dude, think a little. you live around people who own dogs, roads with cars, and and around people at all, right? then congrats! you live in an area that is dangerous for your animals to ‘just be outside’. outdoor cats statistically live half as long as indoor cats due to the issues above.

Firstly bitch, don't bring up my animals into ur stupid way of thinking, my cats have/had beautiful long full lives with the perfect balance on their terms. My parents opted for a cat instead of a dog because it made more sense for us as a family regarding whete we lived how big our house was etc a cat is self sufficient and can be outside or inside all day depending on what they want while the family is out. The only threat my cats have ever had is other cats when they've gotten into scuffles even then it's only male cats. All within an appropriate area where just a few gardens down someone has a dog except that dog isnt a raging ass hole and just yells at them sometimes when he sees cats or birds.

I live in London where foxes roam and have even been on my shed roof in my garden, but my cats acc dont mind them because since they get the chance to asset themselves in their environment and learn and explore they know if they don't mind foxes and dogs or if they are scared of them. I used to be worried sure, but then again an animal would never just randomly square up to a bigger animal at risk to their life for no reason, my cats have chilled next to foxes so in my particular case my cats knew the risk and the fox knew the risk of going into a humans garden. A fox and her pups have even nestled in my neighbours garden I saw from the window. Like I said animals arent stupid and know not to look for trouble so if cats were about they'd steer clear of a mother fox and her pups.

See if I lived in America where that eco system is completely different I'd have to take into consideration what threats are about and if where I live is ok for them and by that I mean other animals not cars, people or whatever else is apart of the world that u said was dangerous. If I thought the area I was in wasnt safe enough you know what i would do....

It's just selfish and cruel to bring an animal into seclusion not letting outside bevause u think it's not safe... then why get them? They are not meant to be inside all the time domestic or not, domestic doesnt mean staying inside, u would never treat a dog that way

Just say that u want a cute animal but dont care about them much beyond that selfish reason and be done with it

All im reading is that u think it's ok for people to own violent dogs that potentially kill other animals instead of letting a cat have space to roam and explore other than ur cramped smelly dusty home

Cats are adaptable, as easy as it is to domesticate them, they can also use their instinct to survive a populated neighbourhood or any environment that's the point of evolution, yh they're domesticated but that doesnt mean they are incapable and thousands of years of mental and physical development goes away. They are one of the most intelligent animals and as someone who's had cats all their life, domestic and adopted strays from the street and literal rural Greece where they are owned by no one and roam free I think I know what I'm talking about when I say that they'll be fine and if they do get hurt it's not as if anything in life is risk free u could get hit by a car the moment you go outside, stabbed or shot, did ur parents never let u out? Even tho as humans we are way dumber as kids in comparison to the mind of a cat that has the instinct to mature within a few months?

Like think about what you're saying, dont disrespect these animals so much that u think the best thing for them is to be looked after by humans inside a box

If u are literally THAT worried and concerned about it DONT GET A CAT it disgusts me that this mindset exists because u would allow dogs to literally be spoilt with dog parks, first dibs of environment apparently by ur standards to keep cats away, anything specially for dog owners to give their dogs a full life and cats are left with just ur ugly flats and houses....

Stop blinding urself by these modern dumb standards, go back a few decades in fact go back a few thousands years and see how cats lived and their nature and personalities before u treat every one like its geriatric, altho even old cats get about outside in gardens etc

Some cats are domesticated but they're not fucking incapable animals stop treating them like their morons and learn about them and appreciate just how amazing they are

Watch ssome animal planet, read a book and get some perspective

Some cats may need to be inside more then others sure, some like to stay inside more than others, doesnt mean that's all their world should be. If you're going to be responsible for their life and their whole world why keep it within 4 walls no animal is meant to live like that

The way people keep bringing up dogs is stupid also because if you've seen a cat with a dog your argument would dissolve. Only way that argument is relevant is if the dog is really violent then it's the dog that should be secluded inside not the peaceful cat so please fuck off

8.5.22 I flew to slc from Anchorage. Going to St. George, Ut for niece Seal's wedding on 8.12. My siblings will be there, some of them. Jr picked me up Sat morning at 6am. Went breakfast at IHOP. Went home met Makai. Last saw him in March. He is a chunky 6 month old cute baby. Built like his dad and has this certain look that reminds me of his dad when he is annoyed w you LOL. Spent some time w him and Lauren. We went grocery shopping on me. It helps save some money of theirs that otherwise wouldve gone to this. Ordered lunch. I went Meni apt and showered, did laundry. Returned Jr house spent time w them. Ordered dinner. Returned to meni house. Slept in her room w the xmas lights on cos I was a bit uneasy being alone without her. Had a restless night. Got up, Jr n Makai picked me up to take me to bus stop downtown. We left early but got lost as to where bus stop is, no signs. Asked 2 LDS members who were outside conference center of the church and they didn't know. The whole time I was praying hard to God please don't let me miss the bus. I walked back to Jr in the car then the 2 angels called me back and pointed the way. There was a guy who was going St george also and had a ticket and said that where the bus stop at. I was soooo relieved if Heavenly Father were here, I would've ran and hugged him tight and cried. Thats how worried and relieved I was. So I bid farewell to Jr and went and chatted w the guy w the ticket. Found out he from Park City, Utah and he a member. Another family joined us and also was looking for bus stop lol. They were from Ethiopia. We had a nice lil group gathered there all happy to have found the spot. The bus came w in 5 mins. Super easy to get on. Showed driver our tickets and put away our luggage and now I'm on the SLC express instead of the Flixbus. Its a big and comfortable bus equipped with entertainment and outlet to charge your devices.

I think of God's love for me as I have trusted in his plan. He took Chuck from me and has never failed me in all I've been called to endure such as the loneliness, dealing w my emotions, handling the manly affairs of the home, making major decisions, choosing to spend my $ to support my kids in their struggles. I feel he has made my decision to help them easy. I worry about not having enough left for me to survive on but God always gives me a comfortable and relaxed feeling in my mind and heart. I feel that is his assurance to me that I have done right. I've always trusted in my HF altho it hurt so much to lose my husband and to walk this earth alone. There are times I still break down remembering how much he loved me. Like rn as I'm on this big bus, i got my inspirational lds hymns playing and writing on here cos I brought no journal w me, and as we're going down the road, I have this gorgeous view of the blue sky and the beautiful sun shining thru. One can't help seeing it and not think about God's wondrous creations. Thankful for Tumblr, I can record my thoughts. Dont wanna miss out on all the wonderful things and trials I experience and God's hand in my life daily. Meni is up in Alaska for 2 weeks.
