Heritage: Solomon’s Lineage came from her mother’s side. Her mother was a proficient healer, who used her powers on her weakest patients, to give them a chance at recovery.

Nationality: British, but lived in South Korea for the first 10 years of her life

Childhood; Phoebe was a rather shy individual growing up, often hiding behind Minhyeok during social interactions. They were very close friends, but had to part ways when her parents moved to England for their careers. With hardly any close friends, she threw herself into her studies, often becoming the victim of various bullies.

Adulthood; Her hard work in school paid off, and she got accepted into university to study medicine, just like her mother. She bumped into Minhyeok, who decided to study abroad in England. They continued their friendship, as if they never parted in the first place. They got a cheap apartment together, to save on the costs of uni life.

The incident; During one of their study sessions in the library, Phoebe recieved a phone call from her parent’s neighbours. They had been brutally murdered in their home, though nothing had been stolen. This news caused Phoebe to become detached from her studies. She dropped out in her fourth year, staying in the shared apartment while Minhyeok balanced his studies and caring for her.

Solomon’s Awakening; In the months leading up to her journey in the war between heaven and hell, her eyes began turning purple. Her hair also began to change, although slowly; strand by strand. She would dye her hair regularly to cover up the purple hairs. She tried to cover her purple eyes with contacts, but found them too uncomfortable. She began to give off an aura that attracted people to her, and this caused her to put up a rude facade to deter anyone from staying too long.

The Fall: In order to keep Minhyeok from worrying about her, Phoebe took up a part time job working in Data Entry. It was dull, and left her with a need for something more fulfilling. This lead to her discovering porn, and soon she had some form of escapism from her otherwise boring lifestyle. That is, until Gabriel showed up one day, and thus began Phoebe’s delightful time in Hell.

Favourite Nation in Hell; She loves Gehenna, it reminds her so much of England, with its pubs and quiet natural landscapes. She doesn’t mind all the boisterous citizens, they make her think of the excitable football fans back home; all united in their love for something that means everything to them.

Sin that she commits the most: Gluttony. Over indulgence is her main distraction from life’s woes, whether it be porn, sex, food, alcohol, it’s all good in her books.

Things she does in her spare time: Due to her knowledge in medicine, though not fully qualified, she offered to assist in Paradise Lost whenever she can. She hasn’t got the hang of using any healing magic that she may have inherited from Solomon, so she helps with the basics, like triage and wound care.

She gets on pretty well with the Kings too, aside from Leviathan, who she still is incredibly wary of after the kidnapping and threats of death. She’s trying to forgive him, though it may take a lengthy time.

hi again !! lots of new things were added yesterday in the spreadsheet so i wanted to make a post giving a brief description of everything thats been added/changed :>

slightly 🤏 more in-depth details for some additions will be mentioned under the read more but tl;dr

added recommended builds for satan (attacker), mammon (attacker), gamigin (still working on how to get images of their signature artifacts but info about why they're there is already included)

separated "read me" info into 2 parts: first part includes general stuff about the spreadsheet, 2nd part includes stuff in regards to only the build lists

included f2p/beginner tips in the first part of "read me" (when you open up the spreadsheet you are automatically sent to the first part of "read me," the tips are located near the bottom of that sheet)

added mammon (attacker)'s unholy board requirements

new sheet created named "other". contains random calculations such as how long it takes for f2p players to get enough seals/yellow keys to hit hard pity on their respective banners (debut l/s-ranks), how much time it takes to max likeability, how much event currency is needed to get all event-exclusive items, + more

Free Write #4: Forbidden

"One more thing." Kan-E-Senna said. Rising from her chair, she picked up a single sheet of parchment. Gaius frowned, watching as the Elder Seedseer approached him. Her face was like stone, and the paper silently rustled as it was placed in front of the now ex-legatus.

"Sign this."

"And what I am signing?" Gaius countered.

"A restraining order. Filed on behalf of Riven DeGlass." Kan-E watched as Gaius's eyes widened in shock--his normally stoic mien cracking briefly.

"You are forbidden from any contact with her. You are forbidden from seeing her. Any matters that require her presence in your vicinity will be carried out by another member of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn on her behalf." The nightmarish memory of Mathye fighting to save Riven's life, the sheer brutality of learning up close and personal what the Garlean excision process was--watching her beloved brothers battle to calm the out-of-control Valefor down--the memories bubbled up in the Elder Seedseer's thoughts.

But what stuck in Kan-E's mind the most was the ghost-memory of the cutting. Had Riven's brothers shown up a minute later--Valefor would have been dead, and Riven with her. All on the orders of Gaius van Baelsar, who had wanted to 'fix' his granddaughter.

Riven, who had been trapped by Gaius in Garlean anti-magic irons and a shock collar to ensure good behavior before she had been taken to the excision labs.

Mathye--one of E-Sumi's prized students, despite their relationship-weeping every night over his adopted sister's prone body. Begging the gods to free Riven's mind from the hell it had been thrown into.

Riven's pain--and the reality that awaited Eorzea should the Garleans truly invade--bringing their tools that killed magic--it had been the impetus for Kan-E and her fellow city-state leaders to finally take their own stand. To begin reversing the decrees against Dominants. They still had a lot to make up for.

But offering one Dominant who had given and was still giving everything she could for the realm--despite it's treatment of her--peace of mind, security...that was something they could do. They could ensure that van Baelsar stayed far away from his accidental progeny. And they could promise to unleash hell if he didn't.

"Sign. Or else the previous agreement becomes null and void." Kan-E's voice was steel. "And just to make you aware, the alternative to this was putting you in irons and handing you over to her brothers. Mathye Bishop in particular is very keen on that happening."

so i beat cult of the lamb and i love all of the christian demonology references in it. for those who don’t know almost all of the minibosses are named after demons from the Lemegeton, but something else i noticed is most are named specifically after Dukes. i’m not sure if there is any relevance story or lore wise, it’s very likely the developers chose the Duke ranking because it’s the largest in the False Monarchy.

not all Dukes are referenced in the game however. off the top of my head the leftover names are:

SCHOLOMANCE AND HIS STUDY OF THE ARS GOËTIA

what is scholomance?                 scholomance, or șolomanţă, was a school of dark magic said to lay dormant underneath the city of sibiu.  originally a place for great scholars to learn the ways and teachings of king solomon, it was later said to have been a place where fallen angels taught the dark goetia to their students, and where the 10th scholar chosen in their lots was doomed to be taken as the devil’s due.

The Drac.ulas were, says Arminius, a great and noble race, though now and again were scions who were held by their coevals to have had dealings with the Evil One. They learned his secrets in the Scholomance, amongst the mountains over Lake Hermanstadt, where the devil claims the tenth scholar as his due. -   Bram Stoker, Dracu.la.

We already know from the novel that Vladislav studied in the ancient school, and that it was attributed to him already to have been having dealings with the ‘evil one’ throughout his entire family.  This is especially interesting given that the word dracul, while has a dual-meaning to translate to devil, holds also the same meaning as the word ‘dragon’, and that scholomance was said to have been originally named the school of the dragon.  

the graduates of this school would learn many fabled dark magicks while enrolled. this included animal speech, magic spells, transfiguration, dragon-riding and the control of storms and weather. for seven years they would remain underground and immerse themselves in this study, learning the language of all living things, enochian, the secrets of nature and how to make it bend to ones will.

so how does the ars goetia tie in?   well, the term 'goetia' literally translates to the practice of conjuring evil spirits. it includes dark spells that would include charms, sorcery, wizardry. they learned the ancient ways of the dactyli and all other forms of theurgy to become as powerful rulers of nature.  Agrippa wrote in his own research that detailed the books of occult philosophy that ceremonial magic could be illustrated through goetia and theurgia, or magia; otherwise defining a strict line between evil magic and good magic. goetia would be considered the wicked kind of magic that goes against the laws of nature, and is often invoked through a tie to a supernatural entity; thus, making the caster more of a warlock than a scholar or wizard.

the evil spirits, considered 'demons' by modern western standards,  are commanded entirely by four kings that correspond to the cardinal directions. These kings are called Amaymon, Corson, Ziminiar and Gaap.  Alternatively known in abrahmic religion by the names of Samael, Azazel, Paymon and Maimon.  

THE CIRRICULUM

the arys theurgia teaches the students the seals and order of each of the spirits and their sigils, what they lord over in the underworld and their traits and aspirations. they learn the temperament of each creature and their perfered gifts during summoning. They learn the compass point of each demon and the inter-cardinal points and how to draw upon them, as well as the names of each prince, count, duke and queen. This book shows how he bound spirits, and used them to obtain his fame, and to act as protection, and how solomon’s students may do this too.

a few of these are known as bael, agares, vassago, valefore, amon, barbatos, sitri, beleth, eligos, zepar and more.                upon graduating, vladislav succeeded in summoning the goodly knight known as eligos, who is later mentioned as one of his guardians in the castleva.nia series.   however, in-line with this series, other demons that have been seduced and/or summoned by the count are as follows: malphas, balor, zephyr, saint legion, beelzebub, leviathan, & abbadon.

the ars paulina is the third book, and it teaches the apostles the magical calendar, the astrological seals and the meaning of the stars and planets on an astronomical scale and the archidoxes of magic.  the ability to communicate with divine or heavenly powers is often described in this book as being delivered to the solomonar by the apostle, paul, further cementing it as a teaching of solomon himself rather than the devil.   i think this is especially important to point out that here, the goetia includes the invocation of angels too.

they spent another year and a half on this subject alone, and begin to memorize the angels and 360 spirits in the zodiac.this is called the monomoiria, which correspond with hellenistic astrology.  

in order to summon these creatures, one would need to learn to create a wax tablet and memorize the designs of each sigil that corresponded to the 72 spirits, which would be taught in a book known as the Ars Almadel. Two full years was spent on this subject alone, before moving on to the Ars Notoria, which would teach the series of prayers that would grant the magician the powers of a polymath and polyglot, as well as an eidetic memory so that one could learn and memorize every spell taught in the Ars Paulina.

Courses on the lesser key would include classes and necessary research on The Sight; or the ability to see supernatural phenomena; this is also referenced in the Novel, as Drac.ula is surprised that Jonathan can see the blue flame that appears on St. Georges' day.  This is because the 'evil spirits' of the Goetia are but physical representations of portions of the human brain and its many representations and stimulants; such as taste, touch,  and smell.  The point of the teachings of Scholomance are to become extremely aware of your own reflection, and on the significance of your awareness.

Students learn the invocations, the sacraments, the impressions of their sub-consciousness, and all known abnormal states of the body. Phenomena or miracles are considered part of life, and ceremonial magia or goetia the way for physiological experiments to be conducted without a fear of the end result.   they too are taught the important symbolism and reverence of the ideology of baphomet and abraxas the archon.

“Agrippa told us that "Magic is the highest, most absolute and most divine knowledge of natural philosophy, advanced in its works and wonderful operations by a right understanding of the inward and occult virtue of things; so that true agents being applied to proper patients, strange and admirable effects will thereby be produced. whence magicians are profound and dilligent searchers into nature; they, because of their skill, know to anticipate an effort,  the which to the vulgar shall seem to be a miracle.“

it is important to my portrayal to remember that the count was the 10th scholar, and that that fact sealed his fate to eventually fall, no matter what great things he had been destined to do with his powers prior. this is fitting considering that his initial descent beneath the city of sibiu, into this academy, was done out of spite and out of need for revenge to the order that had previously used him, also named the order of the dragon. the irony rests in that his fate seems to be one great circle, all leading him back to and from these teachings as a sort of curse. so it is only fitting that his immortal life, though achieved, by lived in a curse far worse than death, in his own personal hell.

OTP for them: Don’t really ship Yuna with anyone (geez, for someone who thinks A LOT about their faves smooching and banging, I do not have many ships or OTPs lol). I kind of liked her end up alone post-X no X-2 didn’t happen don’t @ me 

BROTP for them: BROTP with Lulu and Rikku for sure! I love how much both support her. Also loved Lulu’s little head pats to Yuna throughout the game.

Other ships: Ok, so I don’t ship her with anyone from her respective game.... BUT. I absolutely love her with Rydia from IV. Their interactions in World of Final Fantasy absolutely sold me. I’m usually not one for crossover ships, but WOW I love them. And honestly, they have a lot in common! Plus they’re so cute looking together!

What kind of fic I’d write about them: Probably some alternative post-canon story. Or just let her be happy and enjoy a simple, mundane life, because this poor girl has been through too much.

A favorite canon moment: I forever love the FMV with her doing the first sending in the game. It’s just gorgeous and surreal and heartbreaking and I love it.

Color that reminds me of them: Rainbow colors! Like with the pyreflies and even Valefor’s color scheme.

Song that reminds me of them: Is it cheating to say Suteki Da Ne? That melody motif in general throughout the soundtrack makes me think of her, too.

A headcanon about them: Hmmm... I’m not sure if I have one? I’ve had plenty for Lulu and Auron, so my mind hasn’t strayed to others that much. I know in general, I like to think other characters teach their allies new abilities instead of auto-learning them on the sphere grid. Like Yuna teaches Lulu white magic in exchange for learning about black magic and so on.

A random AU I think up on the spot for them: I’ve had random magical girl AU ideas, mostly for her and Rydia to be paired up, but a bunch of other summoners from the series could join in too, like Eiko and Garnet from IX. Hell, even Rinoa with her sorceress skills could join the magical girl squad!

Anything else: Yuna has a lovely design, too! Definitely one of my faves in terms of character design.

Had Tidus to find the best words to describe it, he would have said it looked adorable; it made her little dimples stand out, dyeing of light pink her cheeks. It wasn’t the first time they talked -- at first, he had believed her to be just one of his fans; it would not have been the first time one of them did try all possibilities, all ideas and ploys they could think of, just to spend more time with their favorite blitzer. Demurely, with the years he had learned to recognize them. But he could tell she was different.

For once, she had barely mentioned blitzball, or his father. A good sign nonetheless, for the young boy.  ❛ Hmmm... ❜  he pondered, thinking of a good next question. Why, had the girl never played anything like that ?  Odd, but it remained a thought kept to himself - she had looked lonely the moment she had approached him. Keeping her company as the sun was going down ( an alternative way to spend the evening too, given many hours did separate him from the next game at the stadium still )  was quite enjoyable. She wasn’t loud, nor overly excited in his presence. And her playfulness did come through, the more they alternated questions to each other.

A sudden light shone through his eyes, as eyelids reopened and a new question popped up in his mind, all of a sudden.  ❛ Haha, ‘truth or dare’ with no dares is... unique as a game. But anyway, here’s my next question !  Ready ? ❜  he smiled, the taunt being but a mere joke to be lost in the midst of that lightheartedness,  ❛ If you had the chance to change anything of this place, or of your life so far, what would it be ? ❜

...If we got Kogyoku and Ja’far teaming up against Zepar’s trial? And Zepar makes fun of Ja’far always dancing to Sinbad’s tune, and how Kogyoku is a silly, naive, idealistic princess, spoiled by her noble blood and palatial life (he also tries to drive wedge between her and Ja’far, because Ja’far knew what Sinbad was doing to her, and she doesn’t even hesitate to say that she forgives Ja’far, but Ja’far still feels guilty, which Zepar preys on), who doesn’t truly understand Sinbad (and he thinks; “Like another princess...” with Serendine’s phantom standing behind Kogyoku), and how alone he’s been all this time.

Imagine Ja’far faltering and Kogyoku seeing this and seeing red (she can forgive Sinbad treating her like trash, but treat anyone else like that? Heeelll no), and refuses to have her experiences redefined by Sinbad’s ignorance and arrogance, and points out that unlike her, Sinbad has always had someone at his side, from his parents, to Yunan, to Hinahoho, Drakon, Ja’far and the rest, meanwhile she was taken from her mother and forgotten in a corner in the palace for years until her household showed up, and that she cannot allow Sinbad to discard his household member like that (Zepar believes that Kobun was just using her, and she points out that not only did Kobun gain a household vessel immediately when she got Vinea, but that his vessel is a healing vessel, not something that will grant him glory and status in the Ko Empire, and that Zepar, as a djinn, should know better than anyone what that means, she also adds that Kobun would have fooled her too, because she is not as naive and trusting as everyone thinks, if not for Vinea).

Kogyoku then redefines the trial from being about Minds and Puppetry to be about Sorrows and Isolation, and Vainel Ganezza becomes an actual tomb of water (Ganezza means Funeral) enclosing Zepar!Sinbad and leaving him voiceless like she was growing up, watching as he sinks away from everyone into the darkness no matter how he tries to reach out, and outside, Kogyoku raises her blade, remembers how happy she was in Sindria with her new friends, how cute she found Zepar!Sinbad during the exhilarating spar, and lets it fall and the tomb of water turns from blue to red.

And as she does this, Kobun arrives and heals Ja’far and asks if he hasn’t the best king vessel in the world, and because Zepar and Sinbad are both cheaty cheats, he resurrects and attacks Kogyoku from behind and Ja’far stops and ensnares him in the blue snakes of his household vessel.

Only, they are made of water instead of lightning. And looks like mini-Vineas.

Because it is possible to admire more than one person at a time, and to lose loyalty and respect through one’s actions. Consequences are a pain, aren’t they, Sinbad?

Smell? Why Smell? - Anyway.

Friends I made? Oh and you want to know about my relationships, too? What a curious thing you are! Hah!

Well let's start with the Relationships. Do one night stands count? Otherwise I had none so far. But I'm working on something - sadly that man is a tough one. But he is actually very cute. Managed to make him smile once - now I determined to crack that guy. Not sure if this will result in a relationship, but lets see eh? If you want to know about my one night stands,… I rather keep them to myself. But there were plenty. Some were fine - some freaky... some were a bit ... weird. That one guy had a thing with feet... I,... no. Not go into detail there. It was gross. So fucking gross.

About Friends,… well you can say I know at least one person in each big city! But I also know a lot here and there. Like that guy with his cows. Damn he loves his cows,… ate the best cheese there. Or this Asura guy - crazy little bugger. Always fun to talk with him. Or that group of Sylvari - bumping into them from time to time - they always on the move like me. They have the best booze! And let me tell you, they know how to party! There is also that cute little girl with her strawberry patch. Pure little thing - I sometimes bring her some candy from other city. Or these other kids from Queensdale. Group of Orphans. Every time one of them sees me they scream though the whole city and force me into a song or two. But's its fine. They always so happy when they hear me sing. There is also that old Lady [...] or that dude from [...] have I told you about [... countless names later ...] well,... I guess that's it.

I finally sat down and finished this because Whitney made me go all out on my death ask for Vergil, and let it never be said that I don’t deliver.

Obscura; like many denizens of the Underworld, Valefor has the ability to teleport. Seldom used in day to day instances, a deliberate choice to create the illusion that he is one of few who do not possess the ability. Instead saves it for blitz hits and when he changes form. Crippling Fear; A suffocating aura of dread, causes lesser demons and allies to flee the area. Paralytic Fetters; Valefor’s venomous frills carry into both forms. 

𝖉𝖊𝖒𝖔𝖓 𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖒; A living fortress, Valefor hits hard but slow. Prefers to let his opponents come to him. Pestilencia; His standard breath attack, Valefor exhales a large frontal cone of flaming rot which rapidly decays organic matter in moments. Tempestus: Available when Valefor becomes airborne, concentrated balls of pestilent lich fire rain down on the arena, an alternate form of Pestilencia. Death Bolide: Launching himself into the air, Valefor ignites himself with his own breath and dives at his target. Tremor: Standard tail sweep, Valefor knocks up his targets into the air and strikes them with his tail. Desperandum Candens: Valefor fans out his venomous frills in a defensive stance, which shed motes of brilliant vermillion to disorientate. Each frill is tripped with a venomous barb which contains a fatal toxin which injects on contact. Fetid Patina: Distends his jaws, causing his maw to overflow with a volatile concotion of saliva, blood and rot. Valefor can spew it over the arena, devouring anything it comes into contact with. Updraft Icarus: time to fly bitch !

𝖍𝖚𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖔𝖎𝖉 𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖒; In his humanoid form, Valefor gives up his defensive capabilities for pure offensive output. A blitz born glass cannon.

Grim orchestra; Valefor’s own version of summoned swords. These weapons take the form of the devil arms of his deceased family. Fanning out behind him in a mock imitation of a halo, they will move to parry incoming blows and mimic Valefor’s own movements with his scythe. Reaping Cadenza; a faultline of spectral scythes which strike anything caught in their path. Regem interficite;  Summons a glowing circle of runs, which erupts into a pillar of souls after a moment, damaging any caught in their radius. Can summon upto three in rapid succession. Final Sonata; a follow up of Grim Orchestra, Valefor teleports behind the target, and dispatches his illusionary weaponry to impale the target.   Necrotic Lacrimosa; Valefor’s Fetid Patina & Pestilencia is confined to the touch of his lips.  Dies Irae; Only available in his humanoid form, and when he reaches 25% health. Valefor crystalizes himself in a blackened carapace and becomes the ‘heart’ of a bone construct in the image of Pazuzu. Suspended between blackened ribs, the avatar is held together by the very essence of his being, powered by the souls he’s devoured. Rot and pestilence swirl within the flaming energy, phantom images of souls whirling within, disintegrating anything which so much as touches it. The metaphorical berserk button, Dies Irae is employed to annihilate whatever is in it’s sight, devouring hope and life with greedy, grasping claws and jaws. The majesty and horror of the Eurynomous laid bare.

But Keith--Keith was young and strong, he was one of the best warriors among their people, he had a chance to live to die an old man if only he could wait long enough for Shiro to follow through on his choice.

valefor is one of his favorite aeons to call on. he loves how gentle and pretty she is, and she was his first summon so there’s a lot of attachment there.

ushijima would look fantastic in anything but oh god i’m delighted with vinea. also consider belial though because i think everyone would die immediately of fright and i want him with a scythe
