#alt streams just have a vibe that i like

have you ever talked about the origins of your sona/her design inspirations before? ive always really loved her design and i like hearing about how nice character designs come to be
here is the full tale
she started off as a mere picrew years ago
and then people drew fanart of that design whenever i started streaming (like this retro mimi model @catastrothy made)
and then at some point i thought "hm wouldn't it be cool if i paid an artist to make her design better" and then i approached noted good local artist @cnmchn and we went back and forth on some stuff and She were born proper
here is some other behind the scenez
hair accessories were considered at one point but then we thought of the ミ earrings and i just colored in one of her streaks black lmao
final design ended up using a combination of outfit elements from our two examples, rip to alt universe skirt spats and kneesocks short braid loose hoodie long shirt ribs mimi (she will be missed) (i should draw that sometime)
anyways thats all. thats da mimi roundup. sure hope read mores function on this site
edit: i forgot to mention design inspirations.
uh. riamu failgirl, kumbhira granblue, we almost stole astolfo's haircut sans hair vents (though I think it was actually edward elric who made me think 'braid'), vampy granblue. as for the tenets of her design i just wanted a cute, colorful, energetic, annoying, smug, punchable little beast to match my vibe. her fashion sense is like the complete opposite of mine tho lmao this little freak dresses in this skimpy summery crop top and short shorts getup and shit meanwhile i'm a jeans-all-year and longsleeves/hoodie at all times kinda bitch. at least she still melts in the heat like i do
anyways i figure i may as well dump some silly canon stuff here too:
she's a being from what she says is 'the hell that froze over' (because it sounds cool), in actuality it's probably something more like a frozen-over planet with some level of aquatic life under the ice.
at a base level, she's kinda like... if a slimegirl was a crab? like, she's not made out of slime it's still Meat Stuff but it's definitely amorphous and should usually be contained within a thick carapace on the exterior (so when fully shelled, lookin like some kinda scary lookin pointy bone demon). she claims to have lost hers or that it hasn't grown in yet or some such (hence she only has the horn covering)
anyways. her inside meat being amorphous = limited shapeshifting ability, so she somehow ended up on Earth and is posing as a humanoid and having a ton of fun eating and smoking and breaking stuff. but she still fuckin' hates the sun and heat
other fun facts:
loves meat, milk, sweet stuff, clothes, sleeping, swimming, video james (bad at them), money
hates spicy stuff, hot weather, working, people as stubborn as she is, waiting
i'm torn on when her birthday should be. officially it's technically 5/21, but 3/3 would be cute...
believes drinking milk will help grow her shell in
has a strong sixth sense due to having similar organic function to ampullae of lorenzini
durable. if you punch her it caves in like some monkey d luffy shit

In the Tyler Family panel, Billie recalls the 2000s fashion as a strange time in fashion history but loved Idiot's Lantern, and they agree Jackie would have shared Rose's clothes to be the Cool Mom. 🤣
Shawn says he was surprised to be asked back at first since his character died, but it made sense for him to come back in a multiverse story.
He says it was easy to come back and Camille adds it's the quality of writing makes it easy because you know who you (the character) are at that point because you can trust the writers are guiding it.
Billie says she struggles with how much she didn't understand how it was going to take over her life before s1 airs. Before social media, even though everyone hated it and the idea of her doing it, but it wasn't the constant stream of trolls the new actors have to hear about now with social media. She says with RTD, Julie, and Phil, there was so much confidence and joy, it was easy to believe it would be good.
Camille says her neighbors and friends were surprisingly fans. She didn't realize how many people she knew who loved it and knew about it.
They talk about how cold it was filming the Cybermen. Billie says her jaw locked because it was so cold!! The trick to getting through them was "youth" and she doesn't do night shoots anymore if possible because of that experience.
Camille talks about how Jackie "grew a pair" lol
Billie: "She's a boss!
Camille: "It's Russell, really."
Billie: "No, it's you!"
Love that Jackie's speech and situation in Love and Monsters got a shout-out. Especially going off on Elton for taking advantage of her: "Many people can relate to that moment, I think."
Talking about Pete not being the perfect husband:
Billie: "Why did they break up again?"
Shawn: "Because I died!"
Billie: "I forgot!!!" 🤣
They banter so well! Total family vibes between them all.
Fun moment where Shawn thought Billie was saying "old Pete" when she was saying "alt Pete!" Lol
Rose having the "rose-colored glasses" taken off: Billie says many can relate to realizing their parents are flawed people, and things are more complicated than you thought.
Camille says the Tylers spoke a language people understood, making something fantasy into a relatable story that was relevant to the audience.
Mod jokes that Rose "parent trapped them" across multiple universes!
Billie talks about how she enjoyed the overall romance and human element of their series, as opposed to the more sci fi feel in other later seasons.
Camille says Chris's intensity helped launch the reboot, but David's "Labrador" energy was different and special too to keep it going.
Billie says there was a totally different energy after they knew it was a success, allowing for more playfulness with David's Doctor and in general on set.
Billie says she always thought there was something complex about the romance with the Doctor, it's weird for a 19 year old to just take off in a box, and maybe wasn't written with Chris but it was there in spirit, and then was written in more explicitly in their relationship with David. Hard to keep that intensity of awe and adoration platonic! Camille adds the chemistry between them was a big element as well.
Billie says it was always a thrill to get the script, eager to read the script as soon as she got it to see what new world they were building with each episode. She says she didn't want to go to set when shooting Tooth and Claw because she was riveted reading the Doomsday script! Haha
Billie says the costume tricks can help body language shifts when changing character, like with Rose possessed by Cassandra, the push-up bra helped develop a unique physicality for the previously (literally) flat character!
Camille says they got in trouble for talking a lot because they got on so well!
Billie says she loves the new episodes, especially the dance numbers and theatrics now, and that's exactly where the show should go. "It's super fun again." Sitting down and watching a family show with the kids, an event for everyone to watch together.
Camille said it was good but it would be better if the Tylers were there! 😁
They love Ncuti as well. Excellent casting.
Billie praises RTD's heart and rooting for all walks of life. Everyone can feel represented. Camille says he is so good at pulling heartstrings and "that's what we want as Doctor Who fans." They also love his joy but also his power if they are being unkind. He defended the actors from stupid questions from the press and "told it like it was" when he needed to be the man in charge.

MOOT TAG: What genre of music does your moots remind you of ?
im honestly not a very big genre specific person, i listen to whatever slaps so i don't usually choose music based on genre lol... but these are just my thoughts!
psychedelic pop/acid pop - @ldh0000
everytime we talk i lowkey feel like we're both high as fuck and honestly psychedelic pop really fits ur vibe idk... haunting hippy??? love u, let's not get a divorce
kr&b - @aquaphoenixz
if the walk album is anything to prove lol… you definitely have a thing for r&b. (ahem seori ahem cough cough seori) but valid… i love r&b as well <33
hyperpop - @syatchy
this isn’t even a discussion lol. love u 🫶🫶
disco - @lyvhie
girl you give off such 70s vibes but with a modern edge kinda? like the whole, “stop thinking, let’s dance!” thing that bruno mars, dua lipa, lady gaga (kinda) have got going on!
indie pop - @polarisjisung
or the genre i like to call mental illness /j (for legal reasons that's a joke don't come after me) no bc you embody this feeling of nostalgia? that's kind of like peaceful and calming, but also can definitely turn up the volume if needed? i'm thinking lana del rey, mitski, tv girl, maybe some 21p in there too.
afrobeats/amapiano - @riri4andy
although the genre has recently blown up, you have to really feel the vibes in order to like this genre of music, from what i've noticed it's usually a hit or miss if someone likes this style, but the vibes i get from you really embody the soulfulness of the genre.
y2k pop - @chenlesfavorite
you might not listen to a lot of y2k pop, but the y2k vibes are really coming from you! you seem so stylish, classy and fashionable! your creative endeavors are all over the place! it very much reminds me of that period in between the 90s and the 00s, although some modern songs have that vibe (stream midas touch by kiof 🙏)
house music - @galacticnct
when i thought of music genres for u the first thing that came into my mind was "gay people getting it down in the club" which i was then like. idk what genre that is, but i think i've managed to just place it upon house music. think bibora...
alt r&b / indie rock - @spiderm444rk
honestly i couldn't decide between the two lol. i feel like you fit the alt r&b aesthetic more than the indie rock vibe, but i'm only keeping indie rock on here bc of... mark lee!
synth-pop - @yeonzzens
tbh i know we have similar music taste, so i was thinking of how i could categorize it as? synth-pop is quite broad actually, and there a lot of different sub genres under it, but i feel like it really embodies the type of music that you like.
city-pop - @lotties-readings
city-pop but purely for the vibes. <33 it's so cozy and comforting, but also feels like a blend of the past and present. both seem so nice and peaceful, that it's almost like you're perfectly content with where you are right now. (did not mean for that to get poetic um i just yapped)
kpop - @nanaxwi
SDJSKDJKS I GAVE UP i tried. i wanted to pick a unique category but honestly i can't get a vibe for what type of music you listen to. kpop is broad and embodies many different genres and music techniques and it's very experimental and open to new things, which embodies you as well!!!!

tag game! pick a song for each letter of your url and tag that many people (if you can)
thank u for the boop @maxkeplers <3 i WILL be flexing my listening range and overdoing the assignment (song blurbs!!!). additionally, all songs link to youtube + collected playlist at the end if anyone would like to listen to them all in one place :3
P - Perfect Blue by Macross 82-99. I used to stream my art years ago and one of my viewers linked some Macross, and I’ve never looked back. this is one of my faves from their discography. I hope that guy is doing okay!!
U - Uh Huh by TrippyThaKid. hehehe weed song . i confess this one’s on my ranked valorant hype playlist for when i need to Lock In <- duelist main (derogatory). the music video by itself is such a wonderful experience but also his flow is bizarrely sick and compelling to me <3
C - Cold Turkey by The Happy Fits. Everyone moved on from 2010s british alt rock but i’m still there and so are THF. theyre still releasing this type of stuff in the year of our lord!! there’s whimsy to them… they have a whistle only section in this song… u will have to pry this music from my cold dead fins…!!!!!!
K - Kiss Me by Sixpence None The Richer. i love rom coms so bad, and every time i listen to this song i am filled with the sweetest nostalgia <3 if you haven’t seen How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. please. it’s a batshit film about two deeply damaged people trying to play relationship chicken whilst torturing each other in an effort to get the other person to leave them. they simply do NOT make films like this anymore !!!
P - Pressure by Abhi The Nomad. he’s an Indian hip hop artist, he raps and sings and has this habit of slotting these gorgeous little electric guitar solos into his songs. there’s a pop twist to his music, and he collabs far and wide. this song is slow and buttery smooth and such a pleasure to listen to.
O - Oh Yeah! by Green Day. they’re still making music and it still fucking slaps and i will nevaaa move past my based punk KINGS.
C - Chocolate by Day6. alright so has anyone ever run into that problem of finding a song from an artist/band and it vibes with you hard and brings you joy and you go to check out their other music and it turns out the song you liked was some experimental B-side track and none of their other stuff is like that. well. this was me with this song except this song was a thing they wrote for the OST of a kdrama. i wish i was joking. </3
K - Karma Bonfire by Diablo Swing Orchestra. ill be real. this is theatre kid music. but its somehow not attached to a musical. it’s also got jazz and swing elements. yeah idk either.
E - Escape by Asta. just one of my faves. nothing smart to say i just love this.
T - The Dreamer by The Vaccines. this is not the first song from this album i’ve recommended. this is my album of the year. it’s about remembering a relationship, the end of it, the never-end of it. my favourite lyrics in this song are from the chorus, “I know the night has got two faces, there’s one that runs and one that chases, but if I caught you in between, then I would wait for you in dreams.”
E - Eternal Groove by Android52. what it says on the tin. i could listen to this on loop for hours. i have done so!
D - Dark Matter by Steve Vai. to round out our instrumental theme… Can we have him on a Hades 2 music dlc. pleek. steve vai i love uou <3 he writes music i would blast if i was condemned to running solo tank on a raid you know what i mean??
Here’s the whole thing on youtube in a handy playlist as promised! it’s not very coherent in terms of genre or vibes at all so caveat emptor BIGLY
tagging: @oensible <- if u find a way to include weezer i would simply perish from laughter. @em-ptynet @sevennone @brocksfaber @chownkie @mkaugust @larsnicklas @wheelsnipecelebrini as always no pressure to play!! and if you see this and would like to join in, consider yourself tagged 🫵💯🔥🔥🔥
#tagging people i’ve recently interacted with because my head is litchrally empty hiiii#tell me about your music taste… rattling u all like tictacs#tag games#music recs#<- i find myself doing that a weird amount on this blog

What Clique they would belong to if they were in Bully(2006)
A/N: because I wanna play this game on stream and have been watching old videos about it <3 also there’s no real emo clique but all the emo goth kids are in a specific clique that you will see very soon
Tw: mentions of bullying, cursing, some maybe nsfw stuff
Bc: idk like 5 each?
Stardew Masterlist
Sebastian
Okay see this is what I was talking about
There is no EMO clique in this game
Like the closest thing is the Townies so he’s going to that clique
Is you don’t know what the townies are they are the high schoolers that don’t go to Bullworth Academy and half of them look alt
The reasoning is Sebastian is too cool to be with the nerds
But he’s not cool enough to be in like the others
Like he isn’t preppy at all
He isnt a bully bc he’s antisocial and would rather just not talk to anyone
He isn’t a jock at ALL
If I had to put him with any of the ones at school he would be with the greasers but in reality he doesn’t fit in with them other than like his love of motercycles
Shane
Okay so he would definitely be in the jocks
He literally was a gridball star
He is an athletic man who has just let himself go
In high school his depression was not as bad or it didn’t even exist at that point
So dude would be with the jocks, laughing at nerds and being the captain of the football team
Sam
He doesn’t fit in any of the cliques unfortunately
Just like his bestie (guess where Abby is gonna go)
So townie he goes
He’s too nice to be in the jocks or bullies
He’s way too cool for the nerds
And dude is not a greaser
So oof townie he has to beeeeeeeeee
Elliott
King of the preppies
Again he gives me pretentious vibes which match with the preppies really well
Would think he’s better than you
And is a rich kid
It literally just makes sense
Harvey
Nerds
Dude is a doctor with a special interest in planes
Definitely in the nerd clique
But I don’t think he would be bullied as much because the girls in different cliques think he’s cute
So they’d be like “hehe Harvey can you help me with my homework? I promise to make it worth it”
And he’s like “yeah sure!!” And absolutely ignores their flirting attempts because he’s oblivious
Alex
Jocks
I mean what else would he be in?
If Shane is the captain of the team Alex would be the quarterback (are they different things? Idk?)
Like actually the most popular guy in school
If I have to pick a second clique for him it would be bullies
Haley
Preppies
Like rich blonde girl that’s pretty? Duh
While I do think she bullied people in high school
She’s too bougie to be in the bullies clique they’re too ghetto for her
And I’m pretty sure it’s the preppy girls who are cheerleaders which she definitely is
Captain of the cheerleading team by the way
Penny
Nerds
But like Harvey all the guys like her (in a very bad kind of way they wanna corrupt her)
So she doesn’t get bullied often
Can always be seen in the library reading
Is actually really pretty and the preppy girls hate her because she gets a lot of attention especially bc she’s a redhead
Emily
Only one to be non cliquey
She doesn’t fit in ANYWHERE
And that’s a blessing and a curse for her
Since her sister is a prep she isn’t bullied relentlessly
But she also doesn’t have a group of people to fall back on
But people in multiple cliques like her
She’s like popular but not popular if you know what I mean
Like if someone tries to bully her a random jock would be like
“Yo thaTS Emily she’s cool leave her alone”
Leah
Unfortunately for her she would be a preppy girl
Because this is high school we’re talking about
And Leah was a normie before she ran away to become an artist
So she would be in the preps and would HATE IT
Severely dislikes Haley and wants to fight her
Never hangs out with them unless it’s to keep up appearances or on campus so she isn’t kicked out and bullied
Maru
Nerds
Literally gets bullied everyday because why tf are you so socially unaware?
Also she isn’t hot enough (unfortunately) to escape the bullying
The guys that like her like her because she’s ethnically exotic to them
She’s popular among the nerds though because of her smarts
Literally could lead them if she wanted to
Abigail
Drumroll pleaseeeeeee
She’s a townie what else is new?
Alt girl who is too cool for the uncool kids and too weird for the cool kids
If she had to have a second clique I think she would want to be around the greasers
Simply because I think high school Abby wouldn’t wanna be associated with the nerds
Like does she like the same stuff they do?
Yes
But she would go feral if anyone tried to bully her
The greasers are the right amount of cool for her
Not bully enough that it makes her uncomfy but like they aren’t really bullied by anyone other than the preppies (literally the outsiders)

Hi! I opened tumblr right after you announced today's stream, so I tuned in for the first time. You and Madeline create a very comfy vibe, I enjoyed it a lot!
In particular, thank you for your thoughts on No Nut November - I am currently trying (once more) to make it through the whole month. I had heard bits about the alt-right connection, which somehow slightly tarnished my own endeavour (nothing big, but it did make me a bit uncomfortable). I was/am still planning to pull through, but the context you gave helped me untarnish it again.
Also, I loved the music that was playing before the stream actually started! Is it possible to listen to it somewhere else (Soundcloud, Bandcamp, YouTube, Spotify)? It sounded to me like a well-chosen mix of different tracks, or was it just one that's rich in variety?
PS: I hope you find a chastity cage thay works well for you!
Hey wow, it's really cool to hear from you! I'd love to hear more about what you get out of going No Nut for a month, what it means to you, how you're enjoying it, etc. It's good to hear from people who treat it like (I would imagine) a Dry January is used by some other people to just kind of, reexamine their relationship to their body and to the things that feel good. I've done anything quite like it, but I have had years-long stretches where I had to ask for permission to masturbate as part of a power dynamic I was in, which certainly resulted in me doing it a lot less, and it had a lot of really fascinating and cool effects of my relationship to my sexuality and really really deepened the power dynamic a ton, it was hot and fun and I think going a while without busting a nut can be a really cool sexual exploration, it doesn't have to be semen retention bro science stuff. Have fun with it and tell me how it goes!

omg a fellow swiftie! can i ask what you think each character's favorite album would be (and why) i loved the songs you picked for each of them on your list!
THANK YOU FOR ASKING I LOVE YOU.
and so without further ado:
What I think each obey me character's favorite Taylor Swift album would be
(this is just for fun pls don't take it personally if you don't agree with my takes lol)
LUCIFER
Red. i think a lot of people would go with rep or folklore for him but Red is such an intensely passionate album overflowing with multitudes of emotions that it'd be the one he'd gravitate towards.
His favorite on the album would either be state of grace or treacherous, i think. both songs just encompass the feeling of an unexpected emotion/encounter that not only intensifies but also fundamentally changes you as a person.
acknowledges ronan and how it's a beautifully written memorial. however, he'll only listen to it if it's a particularly reminiscence-heavy day
MAMMON
he's a reputation girlie DEFINITELY. The almost grunge-like feel of the first half juxtaposed with the second's more romantic upbeat pop (and ends with a piano ballad? yeahhhhh) is something he would soooo eat up. Not to mention he already has a rep era outfit ready by way of his demon form lol
favorites are don't blame me and getaway car and by the time new year's day hits he's an emotional mess. "please don't ever become a stranger who's laugh i could recognize anywhere" he'd be projecting the hell out of himself in that situation and he'd start whining and demanding that you never forget him. as he does.
LEVIATHAN
1989. Listen to me. He's a pop music enjoyer to a T. He probably won't admit it though. He'll probably say his favorite genre is like alt but then secretly have emotion and 1989 as his spotify (devilfy?) top streamed. (outside of course, his animanga playlist)
Very much a deep-cut kind of guy. He can appreciate style and blank space but firmly believes i know places and you are in love are superior and majorly underrated. and he's right...!
SATAN
this one's easy. evermore. no questions. in my opinion it's taylor's most literary-driven album, even more so than folklore, which i feel like is more storytelling-driven (pls tell me u get what i mean even though they're kinda the same thing but also not 😵💫). evermore is just one of those album that you'll only get to fully appreciate once you start trying to understand the songs as they stand on their own, and not as an interconnected puzzle.
cowboy like me is his favorite. i mentioned in my list that it's also the taylor song i associate the most with him, but i feel like he'd fully understand the underlying kinship and desperation that encompasses the song, especially if he tries to relate it with how he sees you, and how you're the only one on the same playing field as him.
almost cried to marjorie. he's in his feelings like that. closure appreciator (aka he's got taste. he's got the vision).
ASMODEUS
you'd think it'd be 1989, but it's actually Midnights. he'd LOVE the sultry take on synth-pop, and it's an album he would constantly have on ritation when he's getting ready to go out, or if he just wants to feel it. There's something about midnights that's so dark yet so unmistakeably airy and light, romantic, devastating, and sensual.
maroon or karma would be his favorite. karma is more of his favorite 'feel good' song though, while maroon is his favorite because of its imagery and emotion.
BEELZEBUB
just like the list, he was the hardest to pick for 😵💫 i think it's mainly because Beel doesn't really strike me as someone who gets way into an artist, and generally vibes with whatever he can find. He probably has a gym playlist consisting of multitudes of different artists and genres. If i had to pick though, i think his favorite would be Red - it's actually a pretty good workout album in my experience.
his favorites are the lighter songs, like everything has changed and starlight. i think he's the type to enjoy those types of songs more - lighthearted, upbeat, sweet. will not listen to ronan. he can handle the more emotional songs, but ronan made him lose his appetite. (i get u beel i never listen to it too i cant)
BELPHEGOR
folklore. what better album to sleep to? he doesn't sleep to it because it's boring per se, but because folklore just has that soothing essence to it that's very calming despite how devastating a lot of the songs are
doesn't get why betty, james, and augustine can't all be together, though. ("if me, you, and beel can make it work, so can they," he says when you ask.)
favorites are the last great american dynasty (thinks rebecca is funny), peace, and hoax. peace is hit top pick though, he resonates with its themes of "you're too good for me, i've wronged you yet you chose me, i'd give the world to you if you asked"
DIAVOLO
oh this guy would LOVE Speak Now. it's such a magical, whimsical, yet also so emotional and nuanced all wrapped up in a ribbon of both love and heartbreak. there's a sense of childlike fascination in diavolo that i think would resonate with how humans process love, yearning, loss, uncertainty, and just living, and i think speak now encapsulates all of those perfectly.
he's a romantic, let's be real. his favorutes are sparks fly and enchanted, and he can't help but think of you and how he felt when he fully realized how he felt towards you. it's explosive, magical, and he just wants more.
would unironically suggest long live as a RAD graduation song
BARBATOS
another Midnights kind of guy. not in the way asmo is, though. while asmo loves midnights for both its romantic and sensual aspects, barbatos favors this album because of its overall thematic depiction of the progression of the emotional spectrum - be it love, longing, grief, and life is general. i think people forget that midnights is also very introspective of Taylor's career, with multiple callbacks and small references to her previous work, while also being an album of processing separate emotions in a set timeline of her life.
adores the 3 am tracks, labyrinth, and mastermind. mastermind specifically is something i feel like he can resonate with specifically if he associates it with you, although whether you're the mastermind or it's him, he's not entirely sure. all he knows is that he's glad everything fell right into place for you to be his, or vice versa.
SOLOMON
his favorite would be Lover, i think. for many reasons, but especially because it's specifically you he thinks about the entire time listening. there's plenty of different facets of love to explore too - the domesticity, the sensuality, even the absurd and blasphemous. of course, there's also a little inkling of heartbreak and angst in the record, but he's one to appreciate those, too.
favorites on lover would be... well, lover, the titular track. he loves the domesticity he feels with you and yearns for it. i think he'd resonate with ma&thp too, but mostly for its storytelling. death by a thousand cuts will start to make him sad if he ever thinks about the both of you in that situation, so he probably skips it often for his own sanity (and probably sygb too?)
SIMEON
FEARLESS.
honestly it was either fearless and lover again, but i feel like he's more in line with the "i love you but reality isn't always a fairytale. why do you always feel so close, yet so far away?" idk if yall realize this but fearless is such. a melancholic album?? look at the tracklist and tell me I'm wrong, u can't.
funnily enough. relates to white horse a lot, mostly because of his own insecurity with how he stands between your relationship with him vs. the brothers. do u get what im trying to go for here. for that same reason he also loves you belong with me.
LUKE
this precious angel is a debut appreciator. the naive, almost juvenile level view on love, while trying his absolute best to prove himself, cherishing every friendship he makes, and especially his friendship with you. He's still improving himself as an angel day by day so one day, he'll establish himself as someone you can fully rely on!
his favorite is i'm only me when i'm with you - everyday he spends with you is something he truly cherishes, and he's always looking forward for the next time he'll get to hang out with his best friend.
THIRTEEN
another reputation girlie. argue with a wall (jk)
listen, she just thinks it's fun, she loves the intense beats and synths, and loves to scream the lyrics. i don't really think she'll care much for the more romantic songs, but she can still appreciate how heartfelt they are.
special exception to dwoht - the depiction of a suffocating exhiliration of love gets to her. it's so dangerous yet so tempting, so bounded yet so freeing....
aside from the aforementioned, also loves ready for it...? and i did something bad. it's the anticipation and thrill and conniving facets that enthralls her.
loves 1989 just as much though. pop bible ftw
RAPHAEL
folklore enthusiast. loves how mellow yet emotionally nuanced and diverse it is. loves exploring the various depths of human emotion portrayed in the album. listens to it while he sews, it gives him a pretty steady rhythm.
if you mention loving the album, he'll make you a cardigan. (just like the one in the song, he'll say. he looks stoic but you can tell from the handiwork that he's spent an absurd amount of time and dedication to perfect the piece. wear it often. he loves seeing it on you. he won't say that outright, though.)
his favorites are the most emotional and introspective ones - my tears ricochet, mirrorball, this is me trying, hoax. again, mostly because he loves peering into human psyche and that spectrum of emotions in particular.
MEPHISTOPHELES
he'd say Speak Now because it's Dia's favorite, but it's actually Red, funnily enough. will never admit it though, because he knows it's also luci's pick.
the intensity in red's portrayal of passion and heartbreak is something he appreciates, and while not necessarily 100% relating to, he understands why anyone would feel that way. love is a very fickle yet powerful thing, after all.
there's an essence of longing in the album, both for what was and what will be. Sometimes he can't help but see himself and you in those situations; him knowing that associating with you would be too much trouble than worth, but also he can't help but want to deepen his relationship with you, yet he's unsure where he can comfortably place himself between the brothers and the others vying for your attention. he hides that insecurity in stride though, the less you know the better.
top picks are treacherous and holy ground, for reasons mentioned above.
ok that's all of them. that took way longer than i thought LMFAO thank you again for asking anon!! i hope i didnt disappoint 🫡🫡

Early MCYTblr Interviews: warpedfungusonastick
today's interviewee is warpedfungusonastick, who's been in MCYTblr since the summer of 2020 and is a member of dreamlying! below is a transcript of their account of early MCYTblr.
Digging back into what I have of my online history, I started the tumblr blog warpedfungusonastick in late July 2020. Beforehand I had a very small <20 follower dttwt account and saw that the Tumblr community was more my vibe. I was 18 when I got into being a dteam ~fan and my personal views on fandom and stan culture and parasocial relationships were, while still evolving, kind of against a lot of the culture that was growing up around especially the twitter fan community.
(This being said, this was the depths of COVID lockdown and I rarely left my house because I was a senior in high school in the U.S. and living with someone who absolutely could not get sick. So I was terminally online and can definitely say in retrospect deeply invested in the fan culture and even the creators/their online personas while being semi-ironically self aware of this relationship.)
I first saw a dteam video in later 2019. Funny enough (and not funny at all, because I think about these Patterns quite a lot), I had then just left the Cryaotic fandom. If you don't know, he was an old friend of pewdiepie who split with him around the time of or before the multiple pewdiepie scandals and pewdiepie whistling off several alt-right dog whistles and that whole thing. But back to the point, like a month after i became a regular Cryaotic Twitch viewer, a long expose came out about him being abusive to his ex-girlfriend and a groomer of underaged fans. Cryaotic was a faceless streamer whose iconography was this little blob thing and I will not abandon the theory that the origins of Dreamwastaken fanart are the direct successor to humanized fanart of this Cryaotic persona.
Through the whole Cryaotic thing I first found out about kiwifarms/lolcow. What stuck to me, beyond the abhorrent stuff said on those sites, was that they had a pretty clear system of archiving things using sites such as archive.is and were completely unafraid to post "doxxed" materials anonymously.
Commentary on DL interviews: - I fully second what georgesoot said about "No it's not odd, I at least partially strove for infamy. Any attention gratifies the ego after all, not just positive attention. Then there was the absurdity of it all". I tried to be a lot less controversial than some other DL members, but I did run with them and did say some things that weren't within the typical conventions of more mainstream and popular blogs of the time. It was a dopamine hit for people to interact with my blog--like any social media--but I/we did it in a kind of absurdist way at a point with the things we said and the ways we kind of transgressed whatever the normal way of being a fan blog was. - Re: Wormweeb--I was also kind of mentally ill and depressed and really only interacted with both friends online (even if they were friends from school). And as a result I took it all a bit more seriously than it was at the time. This is is less related but I used to get these--visceral? reactions to when Drama would happen because I was personally invested more so because I didn't want my online friend group who (although seen as a united front on the outside sometimes, I think) each had our Faves in the mcyt space and had had petty infighting over the morals of that (both seriously and unseriously, but everything starts to bleed, in my opinion).
More about my previous exposure to Minecraft fandom: I used to follow mianite back in the day and watched a lot of captiansparklez & aureylian. Since I joined the dteam fandom before any blog presence I was there for their very first streams (which got like…5k views 10k?) and the birth of the dsmp as essentially a server for friends (which led to minor discourse later when the line between roleplay and people on a MC server blurred.)
So my points of reference for these types of fandoms were a fandom that was very much for younger children (Mianite) and therefore the creators were treated with more distance and the recently up-in-flames Cryaotic fandom.
Back to doxxing/archiving/odd relation between: I used to joke about the tension between the right to privacy and to be forgotten on the internet and the right for nosy teenagers with too much time on their hands (and literally obsession brainworms) to dig up your past. Two things I think that were interesting about the most (in my opinion) morally dubious element of mcytblr and most people formed their negative opinions of critblr on was the having/knowing "forbidden" information. Most of this we were either told by randos or knew through other people online. A lot of it also ended up on Dream's kiwifarms, but that was a bit of a two-way street.
And the second part of this whole thing is the way that this information would come up among The Discourse. Because knowing some of the things we/I knew, you could call out creator's lies/misrepresentations of their histories/online pasts in ways that people who didn't know couldn't. Which was kind of where some of the in-jokes came from. I also took the habit of archiving things (old accounts, posts, whatever) to archive.is and such at the time because I fell on the 'I don't want this digital history to be erased if only for my own sanity.'
I think this has been rehashed before, but at every corner, the mcyt/dteam fandom was a fandom like any other, complicated by the fact that it was a real person fandom. And especially on tumblr where the Culture was a little different because no creators (few creators) were on Tumblr, people kind of just said and did whatever. I struggle to think of any of this as important in the grand scheme of anything, but there was a massive outpour of content because of the sheer size of the fandom across all platforms. There was 24/7 content, big fomo, and so I think blogs acted like pundits--like a forum on the newist in DSMP or Love or Host or MCC or whatever. My memory of that time has atrophied a lot but I think that DL and co. cropped up as the pundit subclass (however some of us had actual talent like wormweeb and made fanworks) and the fandom overall was sustained by a sprawling form of Conversation on the Latest Content.
Q: right-- and while other blogs caught people up on streams, dream lying was more interested in meta on the creators themselves?
I think that was a part of it. We were all united in this semi-ironic cynicism about fandom culture as a whole while being fans ourselves, and we socially shared this Vision of a number of variably worded critiques about - stan culture - cancel culture - the dangers/pitfalls/intricacies of these.
I think a lot of it was just shits and giggles, but at least I at one point had this idea that I was a tiny little measured response to the excess of fandom culture. I looked down on uncritical fandom and thought that especially because some of these creators cultivated deeply parasocial relationships with their young fans (I was not much older, but all 18 year olds are Like That) it was some sort of imperative to talk about that at least a little bit.
As I read through my old posts--these was a lot of self important a lot of rambling a lot of nonsense. And I don't really think that these fandom culture can be changed by one little microblogger with a couple hundred followers, but I stand by a lot of my initial criticisms of the ecosystem as a whole and mainly the creators themselves and their (heh) lying, their harm, their overall misconduct and above all the systems that created and enable their whacky ass bullshit to this day. .
But the doubled edged sword of (I return to the forbidden info thruline) I never really shared info that was private because I wanted to be somewhat ethical, so it always felt a bit like we/I was going crazy with things I knew to be true but obviously wouldn't share because that's nor super moral.
Another note about The Rumors and DreamLying--in my memory we kind of thought were Something. And I guess we've been nudged along in that perception but I think the most vocal and controversial of us just said wild shit that stuck in people's brains and for the longest time I didn't associate myself with dream lying at all on Warpedfungus because I wanted to be Somewhat Normal, if measuredly critical and just…vibing. But I think at circles back to a lot of this being wank amongst a handful of terminally online people who at the time didn't get out enough and, like, fixated on this Thing because it was community (or a facsimile of) and at the end of the way we're all just archives or archived pages or gone forever.
(Which reminds me that for the longest time I had you and Roxytonic blocked because I thought archiving was corny but I now think it's kind of cool. It's a nostalgia trip, if anything else. I'm now in another fandom that would've really benefited from some hardcore archiving because so much of the old internet (and fan spaces amongst them--ie ff.net, livejournal, even more underground spaces) are completely lost to the sands of time and the deletion of those hosting sites, etc)
Q: i am very interested in your thoughts on, as you mentioned before in reference to cryaotic, the way that creators cultivate and manipulate fanbases, and the effects you think it had on how the mcytblr fandom
Dream, along with "learning/studying the algorithm" and getting insanely lucky, did many specific things to cultivate a fandom of immensely parasocial fans. And regardless of my cynical vision of what his motives were, his actions of wanting to be seen as a 'friend', sharing many personal details, being accessible to fans, DMing young stan accounts, following fan accounts, OKaying a lot of fanworks about him/his personal and the whole…gaybaiting (you know what i"m referring to) thing had the result of a very large very dedicated fanbase.
As far as cryaotic, it's my theory that dream knew the effect on having a very…intimate…relationship with his conventionally not ugly young white man friend, and used that. And as far as the other element that I associate between dteam/cryaotic--these were men who had very boring lives and probably saw themselves as undesirable to women Until they had this massive following and this kind of situation happens time and time again where people get Influence that didn't used to have and do messed up things with it. And I don't know what's to be done, but it's quite bad and completely goes against the "wholesome" image they try to cultivate. If not some of the stuff being actually crimes.
I think the common perception is sometimes that these cases are "bad apples" when there are so many bad apples And not even in the man aint shit way, but unlike more conventional routes to Fame, mcyts have no oversight unless they join and esports org and still then…the org may just side iwth them if it's worth it. And that's not to say that this stuff doesn't happen with conventional celebrity and even on college campuses and in everyday life and whatnot but I think people in such a public eye should be held to standards of conduct that may prevent some of this.

top nine first time watches of 2023 tagged by @dizzymoods
this accidentally posted while I was working on alt text during a work break, so not everything is complete but the photos align with the text below.
#1 top film and theater experience of the year) watching Fremont in Fremont as a former Fremont resident
(2023, Babak Jalali)
2) Animalia (Parmi nous) via Sundance streaming
(2023, Sofia Alaoui)
becomes a truly mystical experience. like ppl are gonna make comparisons with certain Soviet films but let this one stand on its own pls
3) Bravo, Burkina (2023 , Walé Oyéjidé) via Sundance streaming
4) Cry of the City (1948, Robert Siodmak) at Noir City.
My fave of the films I was able to catch at the various festivals here throughout the SF Bay, though for top experience I was grateful to finally get to the Castro Theatre for two SF Silent Film screenings before Another Planet changes the seats...
5) The Blazing Sun (Siraa Fil-Wadi) (1954, Youssef Chahine)
screencap found here
6) There is No Evil (Sheytân vojūd nadârad)
(2020, Mohammad Rasoulof)
The "Bella ciao" scene alone is iconic! Yet it is just one moment within a devastating and strident cinematic statement.
7) And Then We Danced (Da chven vitsek'vet)
(2019, Levan Akin)
If you have had any rigorous dance training, you can tell how good this film is- down in the details, telling story through movement.
8) Journey to Epcot Center: A Symphonic History
(2023, Defunctland/Kevin Perjurer)
screencap found here
I SUPPORT KEVIN IN ALL HIS ENDEAVORS
9) Baticano (2023, Stillz)
Imagine my surprise when I turn my TV and one of the best modern homages to German Expressionism and 30's-50's Western studio horror, starring Bad Bunny as Nosferatu and Steve Buscemi as a "mad scientist." The depths of the black parts of the screen alone... pure! black! contrast! Not the telltale flat digital black-gray!
Benito may be no Max Schreck, but Stillz was on a roll for the rapper's videos last year, and now I feel less... embarrassed? that I was repeatedly hypnotized by the hyper-Coachella vibes of the "Where She Goes" video... Stillz has skills.
Or at least knows how to shoot what I like.
Runners-up are many, but I want to highlight:
a) a small but solid run of horror viewing in October, from the adrenaline of As Above So Below to all the subtext James Whale snuck into The Old Dark House. Doctor Jekyll and Sister Hyde should be counted as one of the best Hammer horrors imo. On the borders of the horror were Mother Joan of the Angels, La Llorona, and the more witchy fantasy The Five Devils.
b) sidestep into Indonesia with May the Devil Take You, which may not be at the tip top levels of Impetigore but still a uniquely wild ride. Headshot sets standards on the action side, and you can definitely spot Gareth Evans' Indonesian industry training in his English folk-action-horror foray Apostle.

Trigun Social Media Au: Usernames Pt2
And we’re back, same things as last time but this time with the gunho guns + knives
(Also lmk if I did anything weird with the Livio/Razlo hcs, if so I’ll delete this post and redo it better/with better ideas :3)
Elendira ➬ studdedchanel
Okok listen to me I think elendira would totally have an aesthetics account
Like Yknow those twt accs that are just incredibly aesthetically pleasing with nice photos and layouts and just so nice? Yeah
Except she’s not a WEIRDO LIKE SO MANY ARE
Her pintrest and twt are linked and she vlogs her life on YouTube
Everyone wants to be her her aesthetic consistency is a-1
Livio/Razlo ➫ Livin.Violo
Now if I said it was LivinViolo at first but after he found wolfwood again through social media he put the dot in so they match wwyd?
Livio’s content is a mix of inspirational content gym content and then him getting into arguments online via game lobby/chat
I think Razlo would post the gym content showing off reps and the like, like almost short mostly silent gym blogs
One thing for sure is that they both use that darkened filter that makes everything look so much more dramatic for gym videos and then the gaming ones are edited like 2016 gaming montages
Midvalley ➬ MValleyJazz
This is his business account actually he plays at weddings and bar mitzvahs and funerals
He posts mostly on Instagram and his tiktok is very much an afterthought, like he’s following one person
He posts covers for popular songs on the sax, for example Yaosobi’s IDOL on the sax
I’m just sayin he makes bank
Zazie ➫ wcrmmxster
Ysee the o is a c because the c looks like a curled up worm
This is the most on the nose one because I wanted it to have a more edgy vibe like someone’s user being skullgrave or something
……maybe a tiktok cosplayer I haven’t decided yet
Legato ➬ puppetgore
Oh look another edgy mf god forbid we open some fuckin CURTAINS
Anyways this is for his non business accounts, he has alts to give people he sees everyday outside of the internet
I think he’d be one of those borderline obnoxious commentators who stream fps games in their free time and are unsurprisingly mid at them
Talkin shit and bottom fragging you get it
Knives ➫ Million.O.Knives
Who’s surprised. Not me.
I think he’s a gameplay streamer who had a vtuber for a while and hen someone pissed him off so bad he had to turn it off so the audience could fully understand his anger
“I’m shit?? IM SHIT??? YOURE LITERALLY— hold the fuck on….” *click off vtuber* *change screen* *click on camera* *he is literally 4 inches from the camera* “WE ALL WATCHED YOU FUMBLE A CLUTCH WHEN THE ENEMY WAS OFF FUCKING LINE I DONT WANNA HEAR IT. I NEED GOD TO SEND THE FLOOD.”
After that he goes back to the vtuber but if someone donos 100 he’ll turn on facecame for the rest of stream what a fuckin scammer wish I could do that

Ngl George is the only one built to do irl streams out of the dteam because he needs his chat to be enjoying content and being entertained - also he he is so interested in everything when he's out, it's fun to watch him interact with the world. His downfall is he spends too much time worrying about what would be interesting beforehand and then ends up not streaming anything.
Dream doesn't like it and knows he doesn't like it. Sapnap doesn't like it but thinks he does, and I think maybe he used to (like I remember him doing chill alt streams which had great vibes a year or two ago) but being a kick streamer with set hours has drained him. He needs a long chunk of time off and to come back and just play Valo with Punz maybe once a week.
This is an INCREDIBLY accurate observation, anon. I actually think that Sapnap with a weekly streaming schedule not daily would do wonders for him and still give us some content, since I do think he likes streaming more than making videos.
And George is definitely best set up for irl streaming. He's also just not afraid to show genuine enjoyment and enthusiasm for things, and he's more open to new experiences and having them in public.

Seeing people air out their grievances and wanted to join in
I used to genuinely enjoy quackity, I thought he was hilarious and loved the content. But something I really enjoyed about the 2020/2021 era was just the rawness of it all. The roleplay that was improvised and done on the spot, the jackbox streams and just the general chaotic vibes
But the produced lore felt like it lost some of the magic. It didn't feel like dsmp anymore, it felt like something completely different and don't get me wrong it's cool
But I feel like at some point he lost the plot. That the thing that made those first few lore arcs and those constant late night random streams so special was how we watched the streamers just have fun and not worry about the quality.
And then suddenly every stream had to have a gimmick. He couldn't just go live anymore, it had to be special and cool and fun instead of just happening.
No other streamer forgot that. Dream did that random alt stream where he played a random game and chatted, tommy recently brought out his 3ds, George just goes live and does stuff, Sapnap plays a lot of valo, tubbo does whatever interests him etc etc etc
But not quackity
He moved onto these heavily produced things and then forgot about the authenticity that made us love the early days so much and the thing that still draws the audience in day after day and stream after stream
And for some reason, this is only an English thing for him. The spanish community still gets those play Minecraft and vibe streams
i also enjoyed quackity i used to watch him all the time and i always thought he was literally the definition of chaos 😂 i felt like him and karl were kind of responsible for really bringing george out of his shell too which i loved. and the best lore streams were definitely the ones that were purely live with a lot of improv 😂
i have noticed regarding the stream thing he never really did any chill/random english ones anymore - the english ones were a lot more preplanned and less frequent. this one is a tricky thing because obviously that's totally fair like if he enjoyed streaming in spanish more then that's great. if he prefers the spanish community then that's great. like he doesn't owe it to anyone to have to stream in english anymore at all if he didn't want to. but he did build up a massive community that didn't speak spanish and i imagine it's probably been quite sad for those guys to not be able to get that much content they can enjoy live anymore. but it is what it is
regardless of all of that, if his streaming persona changes then that's cool but i just don't get what happened to make him so okay with losing such close friends and blatantly ignoring a situation that was clearly quite hard for them??

Can I ask 🎶 for Julian AND any other OCs you’d especially like to answer it for?
Of course you can, anon! Sorry to sit on this for a few days, but apparently music taste is a thing I will agonize over. Hopefully it's okay, but I think I'm going to do this for Niko, Alexei and Elijah as well. Thank you so much for this lovely ask, I really appreciate it and I hope you're having a great day! 🖤
🎶 MUSICAL NOTES — what type of music does your oc like? do they listen to music very often?
Julian listens to music all the time. Well, okay, that's likely hyperbole but he'll often have music playing in the background if he's doing something else and really likes being surrounded by it whenever it's practical. He just really enjoys setting the vibe with music, and also thinks it's crucial for him to listen to a wide range of genres and artists to inspire him as a musician. He considers it research, in a way and gets a lot of inspiration for his songs and new sounds to explore with fables from listening to other bands and singer-songwriters. There are very few genres he won't explore and doesn't enjoy, but if he's just listening for pleasure he tends to gravitate towards indie folk and indie rock, alternative, emo, singer-songwriter, indie pop, twee, chamber pop and avant garde. Think some Matador Records (both current and historical - he loves Belle & Sebastian, Cat Power, boygenius, Shearwater, Sonic Youth, Boards of Canada, Modest Mouse) with a twist of Sufjan Stevens/Elliott Smith/Seabear confessional and that'll give you a good starting point for what he tends to like. I'm really hoping to upload a Spotify playlist pretty soon of what I imagine a lot of his all-time favorite songs are, but it might take me a little bit because it needs to be perfect for my boy.
Niko's also a fan of having music playing whenever he can. His tastes in music tend to run a lot heavier and darker than Julian's in general. He's more into post-punk, art rock, alt rock, funk, electronica, goth rock, industrial metal, darkwave, synthpop, glam rock, that kind of thing. He loves The Cure, Soft Cell, Joy Division, The Talking Heads, Sisters of Mercy, The Birthday Massacre, Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Velvet Underground, David Bowie, Bauhaus, PJ Harvey and Queen, to name a few. He also loves Hozier, go figure.
Alexei likes anything pop or dance pop. Really, if it's got a good beat, he's into it. He doesn't listen to music all the time (partly because he can't) but it's always on in the car or when he's getting ready for work to pump himself up. He tends to especially love female artists most - he really loves Carly Rae Jepsen, Dua Lipa, old Madonna, The Go-Go's, Kesha, La Roux, Lady Gaga, Charli XCX, Ladytron, Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Kylie Minogue, The Donna's, Olivia Rodrigo, Adele, Ladyhawke, Billie Eilish... but he's pretty open to new genres and artists.
Elijah tends to have music going in the background most of the time, but what it is depends on what he's doing. He listens to a wide variety of genres and will try pretty much anything. When he's streaming, in scrims or running strats with his team, he's probably listening to some lo-fi hip hop/chillhop kind of thing because the lack of lyrics works better for him and it doesn't distract him from whatever game or match he's focusing on. Other than that he tends to gravitate towards electronica, techno, house, EMD, electronic pop, synthpop, triphop, dance-punk and new wave.

Tubbo seems to be falling into quarantine type streaming. Like everyone was inside because of quarantine, so they streamed a lot because there wasn't anything do otherwise
And now you have Tubbo streaming a big amount of his life, doing ask me anything and streams where he's revealing a whole lot of personal stuff (and you can talk about your life with stream, but drawing boundaries between private life and streaming is really important)
I do worry about the effect has for him, especially since he's joked about his therapist finding those streams
yes. god the alt streams just. bad. bad idea I liked the cozy vibes at first but it is simply not normal to tell your chat all the things he does and it just cannot be healthy. this is why I needed to step back because I honestly just wouldn't have ever admitted that a month ago.
#:(#honestly im doing well not watching his streams though the break has been really good for me#askies

wait we are doing pos confessions? okay so i went through a kinda bad time mentally and it made me realise that karl’s energy makes me so happy his streams are so comforting it feels like hanging out with friends and his jokes are so silly i just love him a lot and he is the biggest comfort streamer to me
🎤 i think one of the best vibes karl brings is the chilling with the homies vibe he always wants to get his friends together to have a good time and they always do!
my karl streams were the old cartoonnetwork streams back when it was his hidden alt it truly felt so laid back and wonderful

UK Tech Market Updates
Are you new to the newsletter?
Each week, I delve into the latest trends and developments in the UK tech market.
Let's explore what's new.
Farm Charm: How British Farms Are Thriving in the Instagram Era
Farms in Britain aren’t just about cows and crops anymore—they’re becoming wellness hubs! Think wild spas, yoga in Mongolian yurts, and outdoor cinemas, all ready for Instagram. Over 70% of English farms are jumping into these quirky experiences.
Take Peterley Manor Farm: they’re offering more than veggies, with yoga mats and yurts for a memorable visit. Farmers are smartly using glamping and festivals to tackle rising costs, earning more from these fun ventures than traditional farming. Farm life just got a major upgrade!
Yes, you read that right!
It’s a bit like when grandma decided to start selling organic sauce alongside her veggies and suddenly became a local celebrity! These farmers are evolving, and we are here for it. They’ve gone from muddy boots to spa slippers, and it’s working.
Next time you're craving a weekend getaway, forget the city and head to a farm! Who knew a wellness retreat could come with a side of fresh strawberries?
Netflix or Nation? Why Not Subscribe to a New Citizenship!
Instead of just choosing your mobile plan or Netflix subscription, you could choose your citizenship. Sounds wild, right? Well, tech entrepreneurs, led by former Andreessen Horowitz partner Balaji Srinivasan, are pushing the idea of "network states"—startup nations that start as online communities and eventually turn into physical territories with their own laws.
But wait, it’s not all smooth sailing...
Critics say these new “nations” might just be dressed-up corporate takeovers, with some events even talking about “moral dictators”. Others are concerned about alt-right symbolism and neo-colonial vibes sneaking in.
This whole idea feels like something straight out of a sci-fi novel. It’s fascinating to think about choosing citizenship like we pick our favorite streaming service! But let’s be real: it raises some eyebrows. Are we heading into a world where corporations might have more power than governments? That’s a bit unsettling.
Google Dodges a £1.3 Billion Bullet!
Big news in the tech world! Google just overturned a £1.3 billion fine from the European Commission, which accused it of using AdSense to keep rival ads out of search results—like a club bouncer saying, “Sorry, no competition allowed!”
The General Court found the evidence wasn’t strong enough to support the Commission's claims. This is a huge sigh of relief for Google, especially with European regulators tightening their grip on big tech.
It’s like watching a reality show where the contestant narrowly escapes elimination. Google may have dodged this bullet, but the regulators are still watching closely. It’s kind of like when your mom says she’ll let you off the hook this time—but she’s still keeping an eye on your snacks!
While Google gets to celebrate this win, the game isn’t over yet. The tech drama continues, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Cotswolds: Autumn's Secret Hideaway
Autumn in the Cotswolds is like stepping into a cosy sweater that smells like pumpkin spice! Seriously, it’s a riot of colours that makes you want to grab a camera and snap away. Bibury, often dubbed the prettiest village in England, is a fairy tale that comes to life. Walking through its streets feels like you’re in a postcard—just don’t forget to strike a pose!
Then there’s Bourton-on-the-Water, the "Venice of the Cotswolds." I mean, who doesn’t want to stroll alongside cute little bridges and pretend they’re in Italy without the airfare? And Castle Combe? It’s straight out of a storybook, where you can almost hear the knights clanking around.
So whether you're a budding photographer, a nature enthusiast, or just someone who enjoys sipping hot cocoa while surrounded by falling leaves, the Cotswolds are calling your name! Trust me, you don’t want to miss this autumn magic!
The Fountain of Youth, Reimagined!
Big news in the world of ageing! Startups like BioAge and Alzheon are rolling in the dough to redefine how we grow old. These companies have just snagged millions in funding to make groundbreaking strides in longevity research!
This surge of investment is a total game-changer for biotech. We’re stepping into a new world where ageing is more like a challenge to conquer than a battle to endure. Imagine levelling up your life like in a video game—living longer AND feeling great while doing it!
So, keep your eyes peeled for these innovative startups! They’re pushing the limits of what’s possible in human longevity. Who knows? We might just start ageing like fine wine instead of, well, old milk!
