Here are some of my aftg 2006 fashion HCs

- Allison definitely has a hot pink Juicy Couture velour track suit. Like 1000% she does. I literally picture her dressing like Paris Hilton when she's not in exy gear

- Andrew definitely wears Doc Martens. He has the most worn in pair of docs though like they’re the only shoes he wears (other than when he's on the court or at the gym) and he takes good care of the leather tho. He might have multiple pairs but he for sure wears combat boots.

- Neil has the most beat up af pair of vans that like the soles are nearly coming off of. Andrew buys him new shoes but Neil would always pick his trash shoes until Andrew gets so fed up he throws them away.

- Kevin for sure wears like Hollister or Abercrombie & Fitch, tbh he was probably a Hollister model at some point

- Andrew definitely has a black leather jacket, Aaron has a brown one.

- Nicky wears vests over t-shirts, i basically picture him dressing like the Jonas brothers.

- i also think Matt wears vests over t-shirts, like specifically when they go out to a club

- Aaron wears converse. He has them in a couple of colors but i think he'd probably wear like red ones more often than black

- Allison owns a bump-it and she loves it, she teases the shit out of her hair to get it perfect (i think the actual bump it came out in 2008 but i still wanted to include it bc it makes so much sense to me)

- Renee has a pixie cut, like Alice from twilight style (also I know the movies came out after 2006 but just using that iconic style for reference)

- as much as i want to picture Andrew with a middle part and longer hair, I think he keeps it pretty short and gels it, however Aaron for sure has the like Bieber side swept bang look going on.

- Dan wears like jeans and a zip up hoodie usually, her jeans definitely have the like embellished designs on the back pockets though

- Dan also wears capris and V-necks with tank tops underneath

- Seth wears like Ed Hardy T-shirts, I think Andrew owns at least one in black, but Seth is like chains and baggy jeans and Ed hardy t-shirts for sure

- Renee wears jeans under dresses, but she looks cute in it

- Renee also wears those like knee length skirts and cropped cardigans with cap sleeves.

- Wymack wears Polos w/ cargo shorts and flip flops

- Abby definitely always has a contrasting color tank top under a long sleeve v-neck and boot cut jeans

- Allison owns several mini skirts that are about as wide as a belt and in fact owns belts that are wider than some of her skirts

- when Dan goes clubbing she also wears mini skirts though, but like Allison will wear one to class if she feels like it

- Dan owns several pairs of gold hoops and is usually wearing them even if she's dressed fairly casually

- Matt has worn a tie with a tshirt before, he also has one of those like army green shirts with the lapels and too many pockets.

- Matt wears a sweater vest when he has to dress nicely though

- Neil owns the baggiest Jeans on the planet and probably keeps them up with a shoe lace instead of a belt, the hems of them are shredded bc he's short but any rips are patched up

- Andrew definitely wears black ripped skinny jeans all the time, but specifically the ones that have the like ribbed black fabric underneath the rips, the rips are purely aesthetic.

- Andrew wears silver jewelry if he wears any, but Aaron wears gold if he wears any

- any formal wear by the guys includes a skinny tie

Howard "How" Ngam

A mid-thirties, quiet, skeptical Thai-American man, How Ngam hates everyone and everything that's happened to him. He's the previous (read: not the first) owner of the Kombi- imagine his surprise when he stumbles upon you, living in a place he was sure he left locked and empty, meant to be his personal solitude.

He isn't the easiest to talk to, but his bristly attitude has it's purpose in this world. He's discovered a lot about the city, and How could take you there, but he's protective of those he cares about, which might include you.

Appearance: Tan-olive skin, deep-set eyes with wrinkles and dark circles, wide nose, prominent lips, shaggy, ear-length black hair, brown eyes, and stubble/mustache going on. About 5'8", fairly lean, some muscle. He's usually wearing a hand-me down, dark green jacket, and a copper-toned beanie. Heavy worker boots. Non-descript pants and shirt.

Dylan Chase

A late twenties, Half-Irish woman, Dylan is always searching for a greater purpose. She's scared, but determined to find herself in the midst of the apocalypse. You could worry that she's read too many self-help books, but she knows herself. Even if she can be a bit harsh about it.

Dylan wants more than anything to be caring, to prove to others that she's not a bad person. She lives in a well furnished settlement, where lack of resources seems to never be an issue. The guilt of being there, when everyone else is suffering, eats at her, but you could soothe her feelings, if you wish.

Appearance: Pale, warm toned, freckly-orange skin, hooked nose, sharply defined, thinner lips, deep red long hair past her shoulders, (basically think of a tomato), green wide eyes. About 5'6", very skinny, long runner legs with muscular calves. Despite the cold of San Francisco, Dylan runs hot and wears jean shorts, cropped shirts, or athleisure like hoodies and leggings.

Gloor

He's a zombie. Gloor's skin is a pallid green-blue, with splotches of beige that reminds you he was human at one point. There are chunks of skin and flesh missing from his body, but he persists on, in the way the undead always do.

He can barely hold a fully fledged sentence with you, but you can tell he doesn't mean any harm. There's something lifelike in his eyes as he stares with you, a strong purpose held in his pupils, untouched by the typical fog that zombies carry. It's even more obvious in the way he seems to still have fine motor skills: he's capable of writing a few letters for you, if you want him to.

Appearance: Green-blue skin, brownish-grey hair that's mostly all fallen out, brown eyes. No nose, lips receding. 6'2", surprisingly wide in the middle due to his ribcage. He's wearing an old, dilapidated suit, and a wrinkly dress shirt, and torn up pants.

Alia Jacobs

Named after Saint Alia of the Knife, Alia is a mid-thirties, black woman that absolutely adores pop culture and trivia. She's a massive, optimistic nerd, and maybe one that's a bit obsolete in this current time- nobody really cares to get into escapist fantasies the way she does. Either way, she's got a cabin filled with comics, old video games, and DVDs. You wonder where and how she's collected so much paraphernalia, and mainly why-  and she's willing to share that with you if you don't judge her.

Appearance: Deep cool toned skin, natural loose afro to about the end of her neck, brown eyes, slight smile lines, prominent lips, straight nose. 5'3", pear shaped, hourglass body. She wears billowy, silky tops, and well structured cargo pants. She wears a lot of jewelry like rings, bangles, and earrings.

You just found out that the cute boy who saved your life was related to the fine gym owner who apparently had a girlfriend

It feels like the room just got 80 degrees hotter and not becauese you just found out these hot guys are related. you’ve never seen jason with such an intense and ominous glare, granted you didn’t really know him but still. “So y’all know each other?” Jason scowled, looking directly at you. You felt like you I were in trouble and you didn’t even do anything. Your once bright smile dimmed into more of an apologetic grin. "I-" you begin to speak before Dick took over. "This is my new bestie we met a couple of days ago and really hit it off" He grinned wrapping his arm around your shoulder. Jasons jaw clenched. (Anymore clenching and you were sure he’d shatter it.) “Uhm..yea. Anyways we were just going to head up and workout. Also, you don’t need to teach me anymore because Dick said he would” You smiled, hoping to reassure him that that he wouldn’t have to waste more time on you and I’m sure his girlfriend would feel better too. Yet, it didn’t seem to make him smile back. Dick didn’t say another word, he just lead you to the elevator hand in hand. You could feel Jason’s glare searing into your back, yet you couldn’t make yourself turn around.

Jason couldn’t believe it. Dick already had you within is his grip before he even got to acutually hold a conversation with you. That weasel. And the look on your face, like you were flustered. Is it actually possible that you like Dick? All of his thoughts just racing as he demolished the punching bag.

On Saturday, Dick texted you and asked if you wanted to go on a picnic with him. Of course, I mean it’s not like you had anything better to do. So you headed to the kitchen, prepping some macaroni because if you knew dick, he was either going to stop and grab some snacks or only have junk food to begin with. You threw on a white flowy skirt with a blue cropped shirt with blue bows. You let your hair down with the very front having two braids going down. And of course, you did your edges. Dick said he would pick you up, so you texted him your address and step into the elevator to head downstairs with your dish in your hand. Instead of being met with Dick, you were surprised to see Jason waiting on you. He had his hair out and the skunk stripe of his grey/white was just everywhere. He was wearing black baggy jeans with a red hoodie and a leather jacket on top. Yummy. “Uhm, hey what are you doing here?” You said walking over. “Dick said he couldn’t make it. He asked me to pick you up. So let’s go.” He nonchalantly said. “What’s with the dish?” He nodded to the pan in your hand. “It’s macaroni, I figured Dick wouldn’t bring anything but snacks” you mumbled, feeling dumb for bringing a dish now. He led you to a blacked out Camaro and unlocked the doors. “No motorcycle?” You chuckled. He glanced at you surprised..dick must’ve told you. (He thought) Little did he know, he was quite the chatter at the gym. “No, Bruce doesn’t like it. So I try not to bring it around him” He said, leaning back and starting to drive. Bruce? “Who’s Bruce?” You asked, curiously. The name sounded familiar but you couldn’t put your hand on it. “Our dad? How are you coming to a family picnic and you don’t know the man of the house” He chuckled. WHAT? “A family picnic?!” You exclaimed, eyes wide in horror. “On second thought, I might be coming down with something, it’s safer for everyone if you just drop me off back at home” you smiled sheepishly. “So Dick invited you and didn’t tell you all the details? Classic.” He laughed. His laugh was something you could listen to on repeat. “Kill me now.” You said slumping into the seat. “It’s okay, I’ll catch you up so that by the time you get there you won’t be embarrassed” he spoke. “Thank you! Thank you! You’re literally my hero.” So the rest of the car ride was Damian this or Tim that, cass likes this, and duke loves that.

The picnic itself didn’t go bad at all. Everyone was nice, even Damian (which according to Jason is out of the ordinary). Jason was glued to your side for the rest of the picnic and Damian found himself painting with you. He painted a gargoyle, while you painted a zoo. “Very impressive, you have more artistic creativity than anyone else in this family” He spoke. “Why thank you, your drawing is super cute” You chuckled. “It’s not cute, it’s creative.” He mumbled. “Hey, you ready to go?” Jason spoke softly walking over to you. “Yes, let me just say my goodbyes”. So you made your rounds, exchanging numbers with everyone and saying you’ll come back again. You told Alfred, you would send one of the boys your macaroni recipe to bring him. And exchanged a firm handshake with Damian. As you were walking back, you tripped over nothing but air. Bracing yourself to hit the ground, you were instead met with a firm back. As you looked up, heat surrounded your face, you realize you had just bumped in Jasons back. “Sorry” you mumbled. Once you got into the car, Jason finally spoke. “So, you had fun?” He asked glancing over. “More than that! It was amazing seeing your family. I don’t speak to mine but it felt really nice to be apart of something.” You smiled, more to yourself than to Jason. He was honestly surprised, your smiled seemed more sad than happy and it made his heart clench in a way that he’d never felt before. “Besides you were a pretty okay host” You winked. “Gee thanks, that’s the compliment that I live for” He said. And you both laughed. “Sorry if your girlfriend feels uncomfortable about this” You said with an apologetic smile. “What girlfriend” He said confused. Oh. “I thought that girl from the gym…” you trailed off. “No. I don’t have a girlfriend.” Jason spoke. And you just left it at that. You arrived to your apartment and before you pulled the handle, you looked over at Jason and said “Hey, what’s your number? That way if this does happen again you could at least text me” You smiled. And just like that you exchanged numbers. “Bye Jason, thanks for all your help” You waved before closing the door. Little did you know that smile basically made Jasons heart stop. What the fuck is wrong with me? He thought. Before calling up Madison and heading straight over to her house.

It was Saturday, and Angel didn't have to be anywhere. After getting settled in her new home, she woke up excited to start her assignment officially. She stared at her huge wardrobe and at the ridiculous amount of accessories. Hands on her naked hips and hair sticking to her face and neck, she was humming while her cat, Kuromi, was making biscuits on the unmade bed.

“What should I wear today?” She mused out loud, the sunlight coming from her bedroom window warming her semi-wet skin pleasantly. She grabbed a very short jean skirt and held it in front of Kuromi, “What about this?” She asked, laughing.

“You’re right, this is not very grocery shopping friendly.” She nodded, putting the skirt away and grabbed a pair of baggy jeans, underwear and stopped herself before reaching for a bra. Her eyes landed on a cropped t-shirt that fit her like a glove. She grinned while holding the garment in front of her, “Oh, yeah, I’m wearing you today, and no bra.”

Angel giggled, while Kuromi was busy playing with a loose thread she found on the floor.

“Me!” Gaz exclaimed, looking up from his phone on the couch and running upstairs to get his hoodie and a jacket.

“Ghost, are you going?” Soap asked the man, who was watching a random show on the TV.

“No, are you?” Ghost said, looking over at the man.

“Yeah, I want some snacks. They provided us with old people food before sending us here, no offence, Captain, I want some chocolate and biscuits.” Soap complained, slipping on his jacket, making Ghost chuckle.

“Fuck off, Johnny.” Price said, without looking up from checking his wallet.

“D’you need anything, Simon?” Gaz asked when he walked back down, fixing his hood over his head and checking he had his phone on him.

“No, thanks, Gaz.” Ghost shook his head and shifted his attention back to the TV.

“Alright, if you need anything, call us. Let’s go.” Price said to Ghost who hummed in acknowledgement and the three walked out of the house, closing the door behind them.

“I call dibs on the passenger seat!” Soap quickly said, making Gaz laugh, the two walked towards the car in their driveway before Price’s voice made them look back.

“You’re alright, there?”

Price was standing with the car keys in his hands, looking at his very attractive neighbour, who was frowning down at her phone, standing in front of her door dressed so much more casually than the first time they met.

When Angel heard him, she lifted her head and immediately smiled, “Oh, hi! I’m just trying to get myself an Uber but the app’s acting up.”

“Where are you going? Maybe we can drop you off if it’s on our way...” Price suggested, and completely missed how both Gaz and Soap glanced at each other, smirking.

“Aw, that’s so sweet. But I’m just going to Tesco’s, I need to buy a few things so don’t bother yourself with that, I can try again on the app.” Angel said, sheepishly laughing.

“Oh, we’re going there too!” Soap loudly said, making Gaz grin when Price took a deep breath.

“Yeah, we also need to buy a few things, come with us!” Gaz said, grinning and looking at his Captain then his hot neighbour.

“That would be amazing! if you don’t mind of course.” Angel said, looking at Price and his eyes widened, "Why would I mind? Come on, get in."

When Price unlocked the car, Soap opened the passenger's seat door wide and spread one of his arms, "Please, allow me." He said in an overly posh accent which made Angel laugh.

"Thank you, Johnny." She smiled and got in, buckling herself in.

When everyone buckled in, Price started the car and drove out of the driveway. "Which Tesco's are we going to, by the way?"

"We're going to take the M25 and go to the one outside the area. Is that alright?" Price said, stealing a quick glance at the woman seated next to him.

"Wait, isn't that far? Aren't we in inner London?" Angel frowned, confused.

"No, love. We live in the outer circles, it's only going to take us 20 minutes to get there if there's no traffic." Price said.

"Sorry, first time living here." Angel apologised, feeling sheepish.

"It's alright, you don't have to apologise." Price said, making her smile.

"Sorry to interrupt, but am I dreaming or does your t-shirt say 'I heart DILFS'?" Soap asked, leaning forward from his seat at the back.

Both Gaz and Price seemed to be taken back by the question and also very surprised. Angel glanced down at her t-shirt and smirked, "Yeah, it does."

Right as the words left her mouth, Gaz started laughing and Soap had a stupid grin on his face. "That's an interesting choice of clothing, don't ya think?"

"I bought it as a joke.." Angel said, glancing at Price.

"But do you actually love dilfs? That's the most important question, don't ya think so, Captain?" Soap asked, radiating mirth and mischief.

Price glanced at the rear-view mirror and glared at Soap, who didn't seem to be intimated one bit.

"I don't know, maybe?" Angel shrugged while wearing a grin.

Then Angel felt a little evil all of a sudden, and cleared her throat, "Do you know what a dilf is, John?"

In reality, she wore that t-shirt because it reminded her of John. She knows he doesn't have children, he's not even married, never was for that matter. But in the mortal realm, young humans are fascinating on the Internet. Angel when she's bored, she opens up her laptop and accesses the servers on the planet, and sees what they're up to.

Imagine her surprise when she witnessed young mortals calling older celebrities, both men and women, dilfs and milfs just because they were older and attractive. She bought the t-shirt a while back, before even getting her task force 141 wish assignment, and was surprised to find that John Price, could be in fact, considered a dilf.

John isn't even old, he's 37 and would look so much younger than he actually was if he didn't go through so much stress and difficult work for so many years. Either way, Angel isn't even bothered by his age because at the end of the day, she was older than all of the men, ages combined. But obviously didn't look like it, due to her immortal nature. Her files say she's 25 this time, so there's that.

"How can I not? You learn all sorts of new things when you're around someone like Johnny." He said and heard Soap gasp at the back, offended and demanding what did that mean.

Angel grinned at that and remembered to ask them something. "I have a question; Why did Johnny call you captain?"

"We work together." Price answered while Gaz and Soap were watching them in silence.

"Can I guess what work you do?" Angel grinned. She already knew their occupation, but she had to ask, had to play her cards right, use everything to get closer to them and build a mutual trust between them.

"Alright, guess." Price shrugged.

"Okay, uhm, are you….. Rugby players?!"

All three men seemed surprised at her guess, "Rugby players? Haven't heard that one before." Gaz said.

"I mean Rugby teams have a captain, right?" Angel mused.

"Aye, they do." Soap confirmed.

"And you're all very big and strong, so it's very likely you're part of a rugby team." Angel said proudly, with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Ah, makes sense." Gaz nodded, grinning. He imagined his team and himself in the field, wearing tight jerseys and shorts, knees muddy and sweating. It would be fun, playing all together in the base against the rookies to encourage teamwork and healthy competitiveness.

"We'd make a killer team, no?" Soap looked at Gaz who nodded.

"We're not a Rugby team." Price chuckled, making Angel's smile drop.

"You're not? What a shame. Well, I only had two guesses, so that only leaves me with one." Angel pouted.

"What is it?" Gaz asked, looking at her cute frown and shiny pink lips.

"Pirates.." She mumbled, glancing at Price who started laughing.

"Pirates? Why?" Soap laughed.

"First of all, you call him captain, and your said captain has a beautiful beard, not to be stereotypical or anything.." Angel explained making Gaz grin.

"My beard?" Price said, running a hand through it.

"You laughed, so I'm going to assume I was wrong." She said, acting slightly frustrated at guessing wrong.

"You do have a beautiful beard, Captain." Soap smirked, reaching at the front to squeeze the man's shoulder.

"If you said, marines, you would still be wrong but still close." Gaz said, making her eyes widen.

"Really?"

"We're in the army, special forces." Price finally said, glancing at the civilian woman next to him.

"Okay, yeah, my guesses were very wrong." Angel blushed, embarrassed.

Now that they revealed their occupation by themselves, she can get to reveal her occupation and make them share their nicknames. She knows that they're only living next to her for work, for random short breaks, away from their families. And she knows they would prefer for her to use their field names, to protect their privacy but also her, as a civilian, to some extent. The only reason they haven't given them to her yet is to not weird her out. But they'll get to it, Angel will make sure of it.

"Are all of you special forces? Even Simon? Speaking of which, is he alright?" Angel asked and watched them tense up a bit and internally smirked, they're protective.

"What do you mean is he alright?" Soap asked, raising a brow. He thinks she's talking about his mask, maybe thinks she sees Simon as weird. Even though that's ridiculous, he was wearing a surgical mask when she first saw him, and normal people would probably assume he had a cold and didn't want to pass it on. But she knows Ghost's team is used to him wearing his skull mask more often than not, and probably forgot he wasn't wearing one that day.

"All of you are out except him." Angel said, voice brimming with innocence and genuine concern.

She noticed how the tension left their bodies and looked at Price for explanation.

"He's alright, just wanted to rest at home. And to answer your question, yes we're all in special forces, we're just here for work." Price said, making her nod.

"What do you do for a living?" Gaz asked, changing the subject.

"I'm a sex therapist and PhD student." She said.

"That's amazing! What's your field of research?" Price asked, glancing at her and back at the road.

"Psychology." Angel revealed, smiling proudly.

The funny thing about realising wishes, is that lying becomes so easy. You get given a scenario to follow, a character to study and become. And then manage to slowly become that character to the point where your reactions are genuine while your mind is fully aware that you're not who you say you are. It's an act, and a really good one at that.

You're even incapable of feeling guilty over lying to humans. Because Wish angels are gifted with powers that allow them to achieve almost anything and everything. I lied about knowing the Royal family? The Wish Office will temporarily tamper with history, memory and fate and manage to make you exist in the mind of the royals, as if they always knew you. It's an incredible power, completely able to create and destroy anything and everything.

But luckily, Wish angels have no interest to mess up with the humans beyond realising their wishes. They can tamper with time and memory, but after their assignment is completed, everything will return to normal, with the exception of the realised wish.

And so far, Angel hasn't felt the need to use any of her powers on the men. And she doesn't think she will any time soon.

"That's very impressive, the dedication you have is admirable." Gaz said and Johnny agreed, nodding.

Angel flushed at the compliment, "I'm just trying my best, but thank you either way."

The car was enveloped in comfortable silence, the big superstore now in view when Soap spoke.

"Why do you prefer Angel instead of Angela?"

Angel smiled, "There was a girl who had the same name as me back in primary school, and since then, I was always called Angel to differentiate us. It feels natural to be called Angel, instead of Angela. That's what I prefer at least."

"Well, in that case call me Soap." Johnny said, grinning.

"Soap.. It's nice, you have to tell me the story behind it one day." She smiled.

"Maybe." Soap winked.

"Call me Gaz instead of Kyle, please." Gaz added.

"Of course, Gaz is a pretty name." Angel turned to look at the man who flushed.

Kayn: Errs to the more chic/classy look. Think Chelsea boots. Black tapered/cuffed jeans. Those long duster coats when it’s cold out. Linen pants when it’s summer. Maybe a crop top look on occasion. Basically likes to play around with different looks.

Druk: Guy Next Door. Think jeans and oversized jackets/hoodies. Lumberjack plaid. Olive green jackets or gray sweaters. Messy tousled hair.

Fenir: Light Academia. Lots of whites, browns, neutrals. Preppy Plaid. Vests. Nice trousers/slacks. Maybe on late nights or when he’s reading a lot he wears lil glasses.

Etza: Simple and Clean. Honestly, something similar to Intertwine Van probably! Just a nice button down shirt and nice trousers. Nice jewelry. I also imagine everything they wear has a really nice, soft texture (so they’re nice to cuddle with)

I’m cool with nakey anthros!! But I think like… yellow/blue clothes with hints of pink, leaning on the femme side of style. I keep picturing him in my head wearing a yellow sundress, with a wide brimmed straw hat and a pink/blue/red/purple/yellow flower crown around the head/crown of the hat. I picture anthro Firebeetle with a very chubby, large & curvy body, very short, and I don’t think they would get top surgery (unlike other transmasc characters in the cast who would), so they’re big and curvy in that aspect as well. Lots of flowers, gold jewelry, gold bracelets. Cute, simple clothes, not very many patterns or complex designs. Sweaters instead of hoodies. Still dresses masculine on occasion, but also wears skirts from time to time. Lace. Pastel colors, mostly. Piercings, lots of piercings. Jeans and cute, cropped jackets. Baseball caps and sun hats and Barbie pink sunglasses in the summer, fluffy parka coats and stylish striped scarves and berets in the winter. Overalls. Converse and sneakers. Thinking about subtly possessive jm

Because this is the same woman that told mj to cover up when boa was complimenting her dress, the same woman that threw something over her legs when they were out at an awards show

So now picturing mj all dressed up to hang out with her friends (this already has jm on edge, mj has already told her when and where she’ll be going and with who, and of course she loves mj being happy and with friends, but sometimes she can’t see why mj even needs anyone but her to be happy) and mj comes out wearing the cutest short skirt and crop top. It takes all of jms will power not to jump her then and there until she clocks that mj will be wearing THIS out to see OTHER people WITHOUT jm even there. Her face immediately falls but she doesn’t want mj to know bc she’s so proud of her girl for dressing so gorgeous. So instead when mjs at the front door saying goodbye, jm makes a fuss about how cold it is outside and makes her put on a hoodie and jms big ass trench coat (which is ofc doused in her signature whiskey scent).

Jm is also definitely the type to zip up mjs jackets or even button up her flannels if they’re out in public and she’s showing even a teensy bit of cleavage (without a single word of acknowledgment too, she’ll just see it and while still carrying on their conversation quickly cover mj up). Mj sometimes pretends to make a fuss about this, whining/pouting/doing her little “whyy??”, but actually she LOVES when jm shows this side to her- she loves feeling protected and desired to the point jm takes actual issue with others seeing her (she also finds jealous jm suuper hot but that’s her little secret).

If jms not there too see mj off to a friend hangout (like if she’s on a schedule or staying with her family) she makes mj take a picture of her outfit before she goes out. Jm then gives extremely helpful extremely unbiased outfit advice if she deems the outfit too revealing; “it’s cold outside though no? Put your fuzzy jacket on or you’ll be too cold to enjoy yourself” or “nice! But don’t you think long trousers would work better with that top?”

She has also been known to make mj send her a picture of herself when she arrives to her destination (just to make sure she got there safe, definitely not to make sure she’s still wearing a hoodie over her crop top and low rise jeans), even sometimes going as far as to get mj to message her every hour, if she’s feeling particularly clingy or particularly uncomfortable with the group of people she’s meeting up with.

Happy Pride Month and (very belated) Solarpunk Aesthetic Week! I wanted to redesign my longtime OCs, so I decided to give them a thematic twist!

Self-indulgent details about their designs under the cut:

From left to right:

Mia Based on the romantic/cottagecore style, and incorporating aspects of Eastern/Central European folk dresses, such as the Czech kroj. Her vest is made from recycled overalls and excess fabric from her apron. Her natural motif is fungi -- her bow and earrings are amanita mushrooms (if you squint, her skirt looks like one too), and the frills on her collar + sleeves are chanterelles!

Clyde He's a bohemian kinda guy, so I kept his silhouette relaxed and unstructured + harem pants + accessories. The exception is his jacket, a union of 3 different garments made to loosely resemble traditional Indian clothing like the achkan. His natural motif is the sun - hence the warm tones, which is contrasted with splashes of teal, the colour of his aura (its a fictional superpower thing).

Glace His style is more preppy/academia - turtlenecks and sweaters are his type, so I gave him 3! Sewn together in a visible mending-esque style (inspired by tumblr solarpunks and their fashion projects)! His palette is taken from the mlm flag, and there's subtle elements of a Korean hanbok - his collar, sleeve shape, sash and tassel. Rips in his pants are covered by cloud patches (his motif), all dyed to match the aesthetic!

Simmer Her thing is streetwear with a cultural twist - her top combines a bomber jacket and a Chinese qipao/cheongsam. Her detachable sleeves are extended via sewn-on zippers (useful as her powers generate a lot of heat)! Her motif is the phoenix, with patterns on her shirt and collar, hand-decorated using the batik method. Her hair streaks are inspired by stripes on a tiger - Malaysia's national animal.

Axis She's all about the y2k aesthetic, with translucent tights and a hoodie stylishly revamped to form a super crop top + a figure-hugging bodysuit. Her design is inspired by indigenous Andean fashion, such as the Ecuadorian pollera, which her skirt might be repurposed from. Her motif is butterflies, as seen in her earrings, the shape of her bodysuit, and the wing-like curves of her skirt.

Piper Initially wanted a punk-ish vibe for him but he might be a bit too cute now oops! His jacket is a mashup of 3 different pieces, and his jeans are a patchwork of denim. He's got iconic looks from French fashion (beret and scarf), as well as some African designs (the vertical pattern I referenced looked like plant cells, but also like binary code? I thought it was so on theme)! His motif is obviously plants of all types!

Komaru Time! Spoilers ahead of course!

In regards to Komaru's casual attire, it's nothing too spectacular. I didn't want to make it complexly boring though which is why I gave her at least some colorful socks and a cropped jean jacket hoodie. Feel it also leans on that trendy energy as well, it being cropped. And, though I tried to ensure that Komaru got a bit of her own look, I also wanted to showcase that she's still a bit of a trend follower still. Though, specifically with this outfit, I also wanted to give off that energy that she just grabbed whatever in her closet and wore it out. I feel that is something she'd share with Makoto in regards to their causal clothes. Just grab some clothes and go! Komaru also has a bit of her own thing going on. That's why she also has some small dyed strips of hair as well in her design. She's trying her best to spice up her style, even a little bit. Additionally, and this touch is for both designs akin to her dyed hair bits, Komaru has some bracelets on. Feel out of all of the gang, she'd be the type to wear them. It also connects to the idea I have of Komaru having friendship bracelets with Toko, or well, mostly Syo. Toko doesn't wear hers. But, in regards to the bracelets, I feel they are a nice edge of showing Komaru's creative outlet, her being a bit of a small business owner with her shop. It also shows that Komaru still has a bit of that childish whimsy to her though. I feel she wouldn't have that die with age nor would she let anyone stop her from being herself and wearing whatever she wants, no matter if she's not wearing anything overly spectacular. For her "work" attire, since she owns her own little shop, she doesn't really wear a uniform. However, she still does her best do dress up to at least some sense while still looking approachable, hence the skirt and the casual graphic tee. Speaking of which, yes. That is indeed a Nirvana shirt which I felt would be a good mix of showing that Komaru isn't ENTIRLY a normie (she has expanded her music catalogue to more than just Sayaka's discography) while also still wearing a shirt from a fairly popular band. Though, this could also be a case of her just finding a shirt she found neat without knowing the whole history behind it. She just thought it was cool and now she wears it. However, I do also see Komaru genuinely owning a fair amount of band shirts, maybe some Miku shirts too since I feel Komaru could fall into the Vocaloid pipeline. I see her also having a ton of old Sayaka shirts for instance that she still keeps around in her closet. She still wears some of them too though some of them are worn less not ruin them. Plus, regardless of Sayaka being long passed, I feel Komaru is the type to treasure those memories, no matter how silly they may be. Gotta preserve those memories, even if that means keeping some faded ass shirts that Toko probably tells her she should just throw away but Komaru is just to attached to them to even fathom doing such a thing. Some other aspects regarding her attire here is the necklace she has on. I have two ideas for it. Idea one is that it was a gift of some sorts, maybe something Makoto sent her while they were long distance. After all, there was still that period in her life where she was doing work in Towa City with Toko and Makoto was still doing work in the Future Foundation. My second idea for the necklace is that Komaru made it herself along with Hiro who I see being the type to do some pottery as he gets older. I haven't decided which idea I'll be going for since both have their own amount of sweetness factor to them. We'll see though!

As for her physical build, she is THE average out of them all. While Kyoko's got strong legs and Toko's still thin though secretly a lot stronger than she looks (Syo can still pack a mean punch after all), Komaru sure is just a gal. No worries though! She can still 100% defend herself in needed be. She IS surrounded by other strong, capable women after all! I like to see most of the girls all going out to the the gym together too. Or well, specifically the girls being Aoi, Komaru, and Toko though Toko tends to be more involved in the workouts done at the comfort of her own apartment than at the gym. She does still go to the gym with Aoi and Komaru though, mostly cus of Komaru honestly. Back to Komaru's physic though, average or not, she's also Makoto's sister and the Naegi's are just built different. She'd probably be able to save another city somehow with the power of friendship like she did in UDG's. Plus, I feel Komaru would still be running around a lot in life, from going on walks, to taking Toko to different places, to going and spending time with her brother and teasing him about his relationship with Kyoko. I also think she'd be working on fulfilling some life long dreams by working on writing some of her own manga on the side. I also find the idea of Komaru asking Toko for writing advice regarding the manga she's working on and, even though Toko is very much still a manga hater, she still takes the time to give Komaru some actually good writing advice. The two also have lived with one another for years anyway so I feel that Toko would be close enough with Komaru to be able to give some earnest tips to Komaru. Some other things I want to note about her design by the way is her hair. Thought it'd be a nice balance between being similar to her UDG's look while also being a bit more unique. It's not entirely slicked back and "professional" looking and might even be seen as a bit childish for her to have. Kinda like the bracelets though, it's another facet of Komaru still being a bright and young spirit at heart! Her being the little sister in her family probably adds to that too.

All together, I am fairly happy with how Komaru's turned out. She definitely had a lot of work done in regards to design revisions and scrapped concepts. She's just really cute though! Think I captured that little sister energy while still ensuring that she looks like a young woman with a lot of heart! (1) | (7)
