• Is a big fan of the Simpsons and can quote almost any episode word by word.

• Says that The Godfather is his favorite movie ever but it’s actually Mamma Mia. He secretly loves musicals.

• Is the only one with a Tumblr account and he’s pretty active in there.

• Definitely writes fan fiction or character studies in AO3.

•The only person that knows about that and gets to read them is Johnny.

• His pfp always matches Johnny’s in any social media platform.

• When he feels annoyed/pissed by his brothers, he likes signing them up for random ass newsletters and whatnot, making sure they get spammed constantly.

• He loves digital books and owns a Kindle but he feels like nothing compares to real books.

• His favorite game is Assassins Creed but isn’t a big fan of the community and fandom around the game. He just wants to play it and have fun.

•He’s the owner of the only Netflix and/or any other streaming accounts of the group and is the one who pays for it. The rest of the gang add their own profiles and watch everything they want. (Or they share one account, there is no inbetween)

• Likes to keep up with the news and current affairs, so he follows a lot of reporters and activists on Twitter and Facebook. He’s subscribed to lots of newsletters for sure.

• Was the biggest football star of his school and got a scholarship thanks to it. He went to college but had to stop playing football eventually due to a freak accident on the field. However, this didn’t sadden him, since he got his diploma and works in things related to football anyways, he works as a coach for the local youth football team.

• His phone password is Ponyboy and soda’s birthdays mixed together.

• He is a big fan of No Doubt, when he found out that they were performing at Coachella, he absolutely lost it and started saving for a ticket immediately. When he went and saw them in the front row he cried, absolutely WEEPED.

• Constant listener of destiny’s child and connects with survivor on a personal level and he’s not scared to admit, you’ll sometimes hear him singing it while he’s doing stuff around the house while listening to music

•Has been blocked by multiple celebrities on Twitter AND instagram, on various occasions.

•Is a very big fan of The Hunger Games and one of his favorite characters is Peeta.

•Makes sure to be the first one to text Johnny on his birthday, even if they’re standing next to each other.

•Loves crime/serial killer podcasts and has good knowledge about these topics.

•Hates going to the dentist. There is a very embarrassing video of him being out of it after getting one of his wisdom teeth removed that Johnny recorded (Dally forced Johnny to take him since he was scared).

•Is always listening to music and doesn’t like sharing his earphones unless it’s Johnny.

•Has practiced a lot of sports during his life and his favorite one so far is boxing.

•Got drunk one New Year’s Eve and confessed that Darry was like the brother he wished he had had, and that his New Years Resolution was to make it up to Darry (He never did, since he had forgotten). and nobody has ever let him live it down.

•Secret fanboy of the neighborhood, one time he thought nobody was home and started singing daddy issues at the top of his lungs, two-bit has it on video and never lets him hear the end of it about it.

• Wears denim overalls with cute sweaters and loves jackets with lots of pockets.

• Loves spicy food and is the only one in the group who can actually eat it without any problem.

• Has always wanted a puppy or any kind of pet but his situation at home always made it impossible. Because of this, Pony gifted him a goldfish one Christmas and they set the fish tank at the Curtis’ so Johnny could visit it as much as he wanted without risking getting his parents angry.

• He gets really attached to that fish pretty fast and treasures the gesture behind it. Pony and him name is Frost.

• Pony and him use Twitter DM’s just to send memes to each other and store them.

• He has a private Twitter account that only Pony gets to follow.

• Can speak Spanish and French.

•Owns a leather jacket that had been Dally’s a couple of years ago and takes care of it as if it was made of gold.

ᴺᴼᵂ ᴾᴸᴬᵞᴵᴺᴳ : Two-Bit

• He’s the reason why Darry had to get a Disney+ account.

• Knows all the songs from Frozen I.

• Wanted to have a mouse as a pet (since…mickey mouse, duh.) for a while but Darry refused.

• He doesn’t admit it, but he loves sweet drinks made of fruits and cocktails more than beer.

• His socks never match and they all have at least one hole in them.

• Is the one that gets the most excited about Christmas. He’s not particularly religious but he loves the decorations, and the lights, and the whole mood in general. He’s the one that always makes sure the rest of the boys have presents, even if it’s something small.

• His first time going to disney world he bawled his eyes out, like full on mental breakdown inside the park, Ponyboy and Sodapop saved up all their birthday money, allowance, and paycheck money for about a year and a half to buy the tickets. (they wanted to get a fast pass and like the entire deluxe trip for him, that's why it took so long.) Ponyboy was SO embarrassed from two-bits crying, “You’re 22, Stop. Crying. Over. Mickey.” but still was happy for him.

ᴺᴼᵂ ᴾᴸᴬᵞᴵᴺᴳ : Steve

• He tells everyone his top artist is Limp Bizkit but it's actually Queen, his top song was good old fashioned lover boy.

• Wakes up early to watch the F1 races and has never missed a season of Top Gear since he was little. His favorite was Hamilton, but ever since he saw that race with verstappen vs hamilton, his opinions have changed…

• He’s the best at playing video games, and he especially likes horror ones like Resident Evil. (absolute wh0re for Leon Kennedy, i am too tho so no shame)

• Sodapop and him are always playing online together and they sometimes let Ponyboy join them. Him and Sodapop gave ponyboy an unplugged controller once and said it was wireless (for the shitz and giggles and to see how long it took for him to notice), he realized half way through the game and told Darry who then yelled at them for 5 minutes.

• Doesn’t like TikTok and is always going about how Vine was just much better. (He’s stuck in 2014..)

• Gets angry when his texts go unanswered in the group chat (they do it on purpose since they know it pisses him off.)

• He listens to cotton eye joe on repeat, change my mind.

Games with random play siblings

Wise

Wise it's Good at board games and card games like very good. Like used to be heavy Yu-Gi-Oh Super Fan good (still a Yu-Gi-Oh fan) He doesn't have classic board games either He has a lot of weird board games that you've never heard of before. And he has a whole shelf full of them.

The first thing he does when the two of you open up a board game with a bunch of friends is he will read the rules. And mans reads the rules like he's reading a math textbook an instantly becomes a pro. Then he teaches everyone else at the table.

He loves video games too He has a big ass PC if it's not for work it's for games. However He likes survival or tactical RPG games the best.

He really wants to like horror and he tries really hard but he cannot sit through games with gore or anything involving.

Has been trying to learn D&D recently thinks it would be really cool to host d&d nights at Random Play but decides against it because he doesn't want to deal with the consequences.

Wise has a dark secret. He plays Otome dating Sim games He has a few on his phone. He's also the type too pick the girl character when playing a game.

Belle

Belle wants to be a streamer. BUT HER DUMBASS BROTHER WISE THINKS IT'S A BAD IDEA BECAUSE IT'S TOO MUCH WORK (totally not Belle's thoughts)

Belle absolutely loves action and shooter games bonus points if it's a nice sandbox game As much as She absolutely adores cute art styles and cute creatures She absolutely cannot sit there tactical RPG games or any farming game especially pokémon and stardew valley even though she's probably a huge fan She just can't sit though those games without falling asleep. But she will definitely play with you if you ask And who knows maybe she'll start liking them she's definitely not opposed to trying.

HUGE HORROR GAME FAN. If you even mentioned five nights at Freddy's her head will turn 180° and she'll get possessed by the spirit of Mat Pat himself.

Never Play Mario kart and or smash Brothers with her and if you win you better keep your eyes open when you sleep. She will get you back. She will get you back It doesn't matter on the game or not.

her favorite games are Fps games, She hates them because how mean she gets. And how toxic other people are but she cannot put them down she's addicted, please don't get her into another one.

Belle 🤝 Minecraft 🤝 Wise, of course, they play it a lot together Wise has definitely set up a free server on his computer so they can just hop in whenever they want. Wise takes forever to build a super nice house. While Belle has a hole in the side of a mountain with her chests all over the floor in no particular order because she is too busy killing everything in sight.

Belle had tried to get Wise into FNAF. He's having a hard time following it but Belle genuinely looks extremely psyched so he might do more expensive research later.

Despite Wise being a board game master Belle and Wise had never actually played a board game together since it would be boring just to play with two people but now that you're here or their friends come over they are insistent that they have to try a board game. One day their dream is to have a D&D party.

Despite Wise not liking most competitive games or games that Belle has in general He just nonchalantly beats them and makes Belle so pissed that's why he doesn't play with her.

Belle gets so annoyed to see Wise smothering you with affection. Because she's jealous it's not her smothering you with affection. Clingy siblings...

Leonardo:

Leonardo has definitely dabbled in otome games, although I don't see him as having played a whole lot of them. I could see him being a huge fan of Ikemen Sengoku, though. His favorite IkeSen suitor would probably either be Hideyoshi or Sasuke, no you cannot convince me otherwise. I think he would have a loose-liking of Nobunaga but mostly just because he kinda gives Karai vibes (i do not ship Leo/Karai). I can kinda see him kinning Hideyoshi and admiring Sasuke, being more attracted to Nobu. Leo may be taken sightly aback if he realizes just how many otome games you've played. I don't think he would judge you, though. In fact, he might find it fun to play some of the routes with you and share thoughts, almost like an otome version of a book club. I giggle at the though of playing IkeVamp Leo's route and talking to TMNT Leo about IkeVamp Leo (his almost-namesake) and just how they're so different lmao. I NEED TO HEAR HIM VOICE AN OTOME MAN, HAVE YOU HEARD HIM SPEAK??? HE'S GOT THE PERF VOICE

As much as I hc Raph to be such a (secret) sucker for romance media, I feel like he wouldn't really understand or be interested in otome games. He wouldn't seriously judge, but he would tease you for playing so many. He'd joke, saying that you probably like your anime boyfriends more than him, but I think deep down that he would really want the reassurance. If he was gonna like any otome game, it would have to be one here the MC falls in love with a "monster," be that a literal one, in the sense of them just not being human (Like IkeVamp) or in the sense of the LI just having irredeemable qualities/being aggressive/being evil, I think that's the only kind he could really get behind. Any kind of Beauty and the Beast type of story he looovesssss. Because of that I could see him enjoying Ikemen Prince (very lightly, he just likes the comparison to beauty and the beast), but if he were going to get attached to any otome game, it would be Ikemen Vampire. I think Theo would be his kin, and his crush.

Donatello:

No matter how many otome games you've played, I guarantee that this man has played more. And not just otome games, but really any dating sim. The FNaF Dating Sim will always (ironically, mostly because of nostalgia) have a place in his heart, but honestly, I kind of see him being a big fan of MLQC (Lucien is his favorite 100% sweetheart, but also evil scientist? What do you mean it's not Don?) No matter what game he plays, he always either falls for his kinnie, or a woman way out of his league lmao. Without fail. I think he would also be a fan of the Your Boyfriend Dating Sim. It scratches the immoral, fucked up, obsessive part of his brain (my boy just wants someone to love him as much as he loves them :c)

I'm curious: If there was one thing about the original 6 FNAF games you could change, what would it be? Would it be something that would perhaps make your AU all the better? Or would it be something you simply don't agree with on a personal level?

The first 6 games are what I would call pretty damn fire, HW and Special Delivery were going in a good direction (yk until Security Breach and RUIN-ED fucked shit up, don't even get me started on HW 2 and the Secret of The Mimic game, I'm watching you Steel Wool...) The first of a few changes I would make would just be...make things clearer Scott! Like God damn the only way most...ALL of us have even comprehend the lore of this franchise is from FANS having to decipher it! If the average person who just wants to understand the story has to watch COUNTLESS videos, or read several articles or read stupid books, is that really fun for them? That's basically homework 😭😭

I know the fun part is the mystery and finding clues, but the clues given are like- so vague bro. Even Poppy Playtime has a more overarching story! And that's not really a good thing considering yk, Mob Entertainment is behind the game unfortunately. (It's probably only overarching to me because it's just easier to find clues and lore details, which is what LORE SHOULD BE WE SHOULDNT HAVE TO USE ANOTHER MEDIUM TO UNLOCK THE FULL STORY 💔) maybe I just like being spoon fed information tbh I'm not the smartest person alive 😭

And also, the box. I know he said the box doesn't matter anymore, but like...wouldn't it be fun to find out what it actually was? (Side note: the box will be important in my re-imagining thing, but I won't spoil what it is, one hint I will give is it got Clara killed when she discovered what was in it)

Also, maybe Charlie? Or at least her gender, I thought it was weird that she was originally meant to be a boy in the second game, and they changed her to a girl in the later games. I don't mind her being a girl because I think this franchise needs to have more girlypops, but one or the other, Scott! Either keep her still being a boy or have her planned out as a girl in the first place.

I'm sure I probably have more ideas for canon changes somewhere in my brain, but any chnages I want about the first 6 games are basically why I made my re-imagining, it's just how I would make FNAF in my vision using/updating the OG lore!

new mechanic is insanely hype and i am going a little bit feral over it. i've been wanting a UHC-style season for a long time and this seems a great way to kind of. entertainment-fy it i suppose? cus as much as i wanted straight up UHC i can totally understand why players like joel or skizz or scar would struggle hard in that sort of ruleset and it wouldn't be very fun to watch as a result.

i'm a bit.. tentative about the more acknowledgment of the Lore this time around? On one hand i love it and i think it's incredibly cool but on the other hand i know well that lore can eat a series alive if let out of control. Especially when fans start getting pushy about their theories and disappointed when inevitably things aren't as explained or thoroughly confirmed or straight up forgotten. (<-- fnaf fan. i have seen it. it is horrible)

that being said i have trust in grian specifically to handle it well and not go off the deep end with it cus a good chunk of the viewers don't know/care for the lore and if it becomes a Big Thing then a lot of people are gonna end up feeling alienated and confused.

i LOVED Bigb's episode and i think it's like. the ideal way to incorporate lore into a series like this. the way you can Feel that something is off rather than it being explicitly shown. you can choose to write it off or dig deeper. it's good juice. I've mentioned this before but I'll say it again -- Bigb is easily one of the strongest roleplayers on the entire server and his editing REALLY sells it hard. He really melts into what's happening rather than getting up on a platform and shouting THIS PART IS IMPORTANT. LOOK AT ME. which i really appreciate as a kind-of honorary former theatre kid.

but yeah tl;dr i think lore/fan theories should be left to the fandom mainly otherwise it starts getting weird. that being said i trust the life series ppl and can't wait to see what's going on with this season.

now if i may be unhinged myself. i def agree with the theory that Something is up with Bigb's task and maybe whatever gave it to him is trying to mess with the game.

Bigb and Mumbo specifically I felt were acting.. a little OOC the whole episode? Bigb was very much on purpose i think and i reckon mumbo's just excited to be back lol but its fun to think about

the task system has a lot of potential for. fanfic symbolism fuel. i mentioned this on my spam blog i think but something something about the way the players' tasks almost seem to. mock them? a little bit?

like pearl's being to "earn" people's hearts after she failed to make any connections throughout double life and has been somewhat isolated the whole series. bdubs being known for his efficient and beautiful builds being told to make something ugly and useless. scott being implicitly called a parasite with his history of teaming and latching onto one specific person each season. etc. etc.

the teams this time around are looking interesting and i think it's worth noting how it almost feels like.. the opposite of limlife a bit? with how slow and cautious everyone has to play. it seems like over half the server haven't really even joined up with anyone yet which is intriguing. (im personally praying for a scar/jimmy team up. just cus scott said they wouldn't make it lol)

which is great for me cus i loved limlife but the chaoticness of everything did kind of. make deaths less impactful i think? if i see another sky bridge i might scream

im very. of two minds about the scott and impulse team up. because if you dig through my blog you'll see i have kind of a history of being unhinged about those two and their parallels. but i have the sneaking suspicion that their actual dynamic will be like nothing i had in mind lmao

overall i am very excited but trying to control my expectations

Five Nights at Roger Rabbit's Toontown AU

(Please note; I know NOTHING about Fnaf, nor do I plan to go into the series. All I know is that it's got neat character design, something spooky happening, and they're all animatronics. So I apologize if I get lore wrong)

Summary

Set in the 80's, a huge, cartoon themed restaurant was opened, under the name Roger Rabbit's Toontown. By the towns mysterious judge, Mr. Doom no less. Nobody could fathom why a normal man of law would establish such a business, let alone a man like Doom who's attire alone looked like he was ready for a funeral any minute. Especially a funeral he was the cause of.

Nevertheless, Mr. Doom's new gig quickly became quite popular among children and families. From the colorful visuals, the cute and witty cast of oddly advanced animatronic characters. It even brought in more tourists for the town! Which of course, made Doom an even bigger presence in the community than before.

However, no one ever stopped to wonder; how are these robots so advanced for the time? Why did the cruel judge even think about going into the family friendly business? And how do the toony characters seem so... Life like?

No one cared to question it. Neither did Eddie Valient, the new and desperate security guard hired for the night watch. But he's going to see exactly what these animatronics get up to when the curtain draws close...

The Restaurant

Judge Doom is an old soul. Which is a nice way of saying that he's a stuffy, old-fashioned man. And the decor of the place shows his taste. Despite the more toony and child friendly theme, it is definitely a homage to the early 1900s. It even makes history fun! Children can find plenty of interactive attractions around the place that will tell them interesting facts, such as how the first animated cartoon was made in 1908.

The size of the place is also clearly meant to make sure that the 'town' part of the establishments title was not to be taken lightly. Large enough to be considered a mansion, with one huge stage in the center and circled by the countless tables (think Dolly Parton's restaurant Stampede, as seen below), not to mention all of the secret passage ways and vents that allow the cast and staff to either navigate the restaurant without disturbing the show, or quickly make their way to the audience to interact with them and make them a part of the stageplay! Which, each play is on par with your favorite Saturday morning cartoons; wacky, zany, and just a hint of adult humor for the parents.

Eddie and whoever else might be on night watch with him will have quite the hassle keeping track of all the animatronics, when they know the place inside and out...

The Cast

The Humans

Judge Doom: The owner of this fine establishment. A mysterious man with a dark aura. Rumors say that going into the family entertainment business is him trying to turn over a new leaf... Though others believe that the family fun is an attempt to hide something far more sinister...

Eddie Valient: a down on his luck man who just needs something after the untimely and mysterious death of his brother. He can't keep asking his girlfriend for help, he knows she has her own bills to pay- not to mention he already owes her so much. He needs this job, even if those animatronics are freaky...

The Good Guys

Roger Rabbit: The main protagonist and mascot of the restaurant. This cute little rabbit just adores his beautiful wife, loves all of his friends, and offers a helping hand to those in need! Even if those mischievous weasels are out and about... Though sometimes, even heros need someone to save them...

Jessica Rabbit: The wife and secondary protagonist of the restaurant. Although her design is meant to appeal to the more mature members of the audience, she is always right beside her honey bunny and ready to step in when the weasels go too far...

Baby Herman: Oddly, the only humanoid animatronic in the whole establishment- next to Jessica that is. His role on stage is a sort of 'oblivious side plot'; Roger is almost always, for some reason, taking care of the baby and has to keep him out of trouble. Though when everyone goes home, this baby proves just how much of a loud mouthed brat he can be... It's odd how a child character would have such a crass soul deep down, no?

Benny the Cab: Taking the role of Roger's side kick and vehicle, this cab is part of the reason why the restaurant is so huge; to make room for such a huge animatronic, especially one made for chase scenes! Despite being a car, he almost seems a bit human... Though the same could be said for all the other animatronics too.

The Bad Guys

Smartassguy Weasel: The big bad of the whole cast. As the leader of the giggling pack of weasels, he's the one behind most of the nefarious plots against Roger Rabbit's Toontown. Mean, egotistical, and a cutthroat attitude to boot. You don't want to get on his bad side, as Eddie will find out soon enough...

Greasy Weasel: Smarty's perverted right-hand man. With an oily personality, a swift hand, and eyes on Mrs. Rabbit herself, it's a wonder Doom allowed this character to be made for a children's establishment... They should see what he's like when the lights go out.

Wheezy Weasel: This weasel is believed to be the Judges way of teaching children to say no to cigarettes. Quiet, intimidating, and with his glowing red hued eyes, it's odd how Wheezy wasn't chosen as the main villain for the cast...

Psycho Weasel: This animatronic has seemed to take it upon himself to bring a whole new meaning to 'interactive storytelling' in the grimmest sense. Psycho will often pop up out of nowhere and scare unsuspecting patrons, and the few times he speaks is always something... Sinister... Why Doom would think a character this morbid would be fit for family-friendly entertainment is anybodies guess.

Stupid Weasel: The only villain animatronic who seems to fit in the toony theme of the establishment the best. A big dumb brute, who just follows orders. I just got to see the Fnaf movie, and it was SOOO GOOD !!!! I had high expectations for it, and it was even better than I thought it would be. I am so excited about everything and I have so much to say !!!

First of all, I've just become a huge fan of Balloon Boy, that thing was hilarious. I need someone to make an actual figurine out of it so I can buy it

I had not expected to see William's springlock failure at the end as it's rated PG-13, but it was so well made and I was hyped for it the moment I realized they were going there

I'm kinda sad that Mike is not an Afton, but I loved that his last name remained so ambiguous throughout the film. Like he purposefully kept it secret when meeting Vanessa, and with William, at the start of the film he stops himself and at the end he stresses it out. There's got to be something about it that we haven't been told because he's being weird about it

Speaking of Mike, Josh was the best person for the job !! His portrayal of Mike was so spot on, he was exactly like I imagined him to be

Abby was the sweetest kid. I love her, she deserves the world. I loved that the animatronic the MC had for her was basically Circus Baby since it gives her a connection to Liz. And the fact that she still wants to go visit the kids even after they tried to kill her because she doesn't want them to be lonely 🥺

I wanted to slap Aunt Jane any time I saw her on screen. I'm kinda glad Golden Freddy got her. Poor Mike was already struggling enough to make ends meet, he didn't need an asshole aunt trying to get money from having custody of Abby. He may be struggling, but at least he loves Abby.

That cupcake was gonna be the end of me. It was so savage every time. And when Chica lowered him in the vents... It was hilarious, he is great !

Also, any time we had shots inside the security rooms, and with the security cameras, it made me so nostalgic for Fnaf 1 (I'm gonna have to go play it again now). And even everything as a whole was so well done and so faithful to the games, especially the animatronics and the layout. And the opening credits made in pixels like the mini games was just the cherry on top.

We've gotten 2/3 endings and are working towards the secret ending where you have to find hidden cameras while also replaying and seeking out the secrets we missed. This is seriously just insane ramblings aimed at no one i just need to get my thoughts out and suggest u scroll past.)

I seriously like. Am struggling to figure out the whole plot of ruin in an analytical story timeline sense. No i do not read or care about fan theories, i interpret the game and the lore by playing it and looking at all the clues myself thank you very much, so my interpretation of the lore is. different from most fans (you have to consider: very autistic, fnaf a Huge special interest for me. So when i analyze lore, i analyze as much as i can, every single secret. And i feel like a lot of people Miss main lore secret plot points. Im not trying to be a contraian, id love for the fans to have good theories. But like 70% of the time they dont. Or theyre dumb lil kids who blindly listens to mat pat)

my interpretation of sb is different from most fans and theories (mostly because I actually take help wanted and ar into account and can like. Use my brain to understand the differences between the vanessas (there are two. The murderer vanny, who we play as in help wanted, is referred to in ar, and is the one in the therapist tapes) and vanessa the nightguard, who's COMPLETELY unrelated and just an innocent nightguard who happens to have the same name and face as vanessa murderer (though it is also possible to me that like. Murderer vanessa chose to try to look more like nightguard vanessa in an attempt to shift the blame of her crimes, but we dont know this for sure.)and i dont think the therapist tapes are two different people because thats STUPID and it obviously is murderer vanessa (people just. Cannot possibly understand that a person being possessed by an entirely different entity might have changes in her prrsonality. Or that a person with anxiety might have something similar to selective mutism or at the VERY least: troubles speaking because of said murderer in her brain)

ANYWAYS THATS A HUGE ASS TANGENT. MY MAIN THOUGHTS AS OF PLAYING RUIN RN (Please dont spoil things for me im not completely done) is that mainly: i dont know who is speaking to us or who mimic is.

There may be two different people communicating with us with the vanni network (as evidenced by helpi changing eye colors and how like. Some of the motives seem conflicting?) Initially i was like "oh its glitchtrap or williams spirit or something." But that doesnt make any sense because glitchtrap gets Trapped and is worked against.

Even tho that was my first thought: i dont think mimic is burntrap, or william, or glitchtrap. But i dont know what it is, because there are no other obvious characters that it could be in mind (tho since its michaels old fnaf 6 restaurant theyre in, and we saw the blob down there, god knows it could be any number of old ass animatronics or spirits)

Another very fuckin obvious thought is: hey where the fuck is vanny. With the whole mask mechanic, the plot revolving around glitchtrap, ect, you THINK we'd see her st least once. And though she has a cameo in the bad ending which is clearly a vision/fantasy/trick, she doesnt actually appear. The INSTANT That we started this game i speculated: is she talking through helpi? The yellow eyes reminded me of an early sb teaser artwork where we see a close up of a vanessas face with striking, yellow eyes, and i was never sure the significance of that... But i dont think its related at all, as mimic seems to be the one speaking when helpi has yellow eyes. Is mimic related to vanny somehow? I wouldnt assume so.

Whats weird about vanny not being there is it makes it seem like shes not carrying out glitchtraps bidding, which is odd. Dont y'all come at me with that "Gregory helped her!" Crap, the burntrap ending is the canon ending so that never happened. It makes sense for her to be against him (shes never really been on her side, shes the RELUCTANT follower. She explicitly does not want to do any of the horrible shit, but shes beinf forved to) but i just. Gahh i cant figure it out

hello, on fanlore dot org is there such a thing as too many stubs or too many related fanworks on a single page? or is there some sort of ideal number or reasons/guidelines for related fanworks? There are a LOT of holes. Especially in newer fandoms. We need a thousand new editors throwing random content into Fanlore. Gardeners can clean it up. We don't care about grammar, page structure, timelines, any of that - We can fix badly-written pages and even research extra details (dates, URLs, etc.) but we can't make content about topics we don't know.

Fanlore, unlike Wikipedia, does not have a "notability" requirement. Does not have a "receipts/references" requirement. We know that much of fandom is in small communities, is not recorded outside of those communities, and the only references might be "a forum that dissolved six years ago" or even "someone remembers this paper zine but nobody seems to have a copy."

(And while that could be taken as "ahahaha I can just make shit up!" err... no. Fanlore does have a pack of editors and staff that watches the content. We remove things like "obscure actor puts their bio and movie list on Fanlore to increase their searchability.")

We don't have a list of "most wanted fandoms." (And the "wanted pages" list on Fanlore is a wiki-software generated list of "the most empty links" - most of them are individual fan names.) I made a list, at one point, of stuff I think Fanlore is particularly weak in:

Many current megafandoms (too many to list - right now that includes Genshin, Untamed & the rest of MXTX, BNHA, FNF, FNAF and video game fandoms in general, etc.), modern zines (the ones planned & sold entirely online), all things TitkTok, notable Discord servers (although, again, no notability requirement - if you want to make a page for a fandom Discord with 13 people in it, THAT IS FINE), TTRPG fandoms, all things podcasty...

Sorting out the right approach can be tricky. We should cover sports fandoms, but we're not covering who-won-what; we're covering the fanfic/art/etc interest in sports fandoms.

For "how to split pages into sections" - the time-honored approach to wiki editing is "find another page with the structure you want, copy its code, remove its text and replace with yours." We're working on page outlines that will have the structure built-in, but those will be optional. (Some are linked here: https://fanlore.org/wiki/Help:Starting_a_new_page#First.2C_a_template)

For things like splitting to new pages - that's going to be a page-specific question. Fortunately, we have a place to discuss these things: The Fanlore Discord https://discord.gg/fA663KpC

(link will be good for a week; people can ask for a new one when it dies.) (It's not secret; just trying to avoid bot swarms that find old links.)

For "related fanworks" - I personally like lists of 3-8 or so, ideally with a brief description of why each of them is notable. "This was one of the first with this pairing to have [trope]" or "this is a fan-favorite shows up on many rec lists" or "one of the few from Character B's point of view" or "this is by the most prolific writer in the fandom" or whatever. But there's no specific limit or requirements.

If you want to note 20 specific fanworks for a fandom... rather than cluttering the fandom page, each of them can have its own page. Five Nights at Freddy's 2023 (Review)

So, after 8 years, Freddy's is finally open for business.

Five Nights at Freddy's is the long-awaited adaptation of the horror game series by Scott Cawthon. Josh Hutcherson plays Mike Schmidt, a down-on-his-luck young man who, facing an eviction notice, takes the job working as a security guard at the broken-down Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in order to support his young sister Abby.

As someone who was a passive fan of the games and watched people like Markiplier play them, I will say that I really liked the movie. Jim Henson's Creature Workshop did a fantastic job bringing the animatronic band to life down to the tiniest detail. I feel the cinematography also showcased some of the panic-inducing paranoia that the first game was known for.

I also think the cast did good for the most part. Huctherson's grief over his personal loss was believable and his relationship with Abby is touching. Piper Rubio also does a very good job in her role as the young sister. Normally I would not care much for child actors, but her interactions with the animatronics is adorable. Vanessa... is serviceable, but I did have some problems there (though she can arrest me any time). And, of course, Matthew Lillard was such a ball in his role.

The music was also great with the opening being chilling as it compliments the events of the Missing Children Incident. The movie was also rife with Easter eggs and references which I liked.

As someone who was familiar with the games and kept up with them, I think it does the games justice. For everything else...

The movie suffers from writing and pacing. The film is 1 hr 50 min, but it felt like it was over too quickly. Definitely not something that felt like it took 8 years to get. Like there is one scene where Mike would be sleeping, then BOOM! Scary thing happens, he reacts, then it jumps to a completely unrelated scene. Instead of taking its time to breathe, the film appears to be in a mad dash to get to the end with some of the more emotional moments being not effective.

So... what I did not like and/or neutral on...

The film itself is not scary, sometimes feeling like an extended Goosebumps episode which is kind of funny considering the Tales from the Pizzaplex and Fazbear Frights books. While it hits the atmosphere of the game well, it kind of lacks an identity requiring you to be familiar with the games. Like it's just basing it off the popularity of the games rather than coming into its own.

I totally get the film was made for the fans in mind, which is fine, and as someone who knows about the franchise, I was satisfied. But I think the film could have done more to make the film accessible to everyone especially with getting some new fans. The worldbuilding was not great with some of its explanations for what things are being brief. For anyone who does not have the slightest idea what FNAF is, this film does it a total disservice.

===Spoilers; Turn Away if you do not want to see what happens===

As much as I loved Matthew Lillard here, he felt underused. It is of no issue with him, it's the screenplay's fault. I wish the film would have done something similar to The Silver Eyes where we have Afton giving Mike information on the run-down family entertainment establishment all while slowly building up that his character Raglan was William Afton. I would have even liked if Mike started to befriend Raglan and confiding in him his darkest secrets, which would make the twist of Afton being responsible for the death of his brother Garett even more effective as that betrayal would sting. But, we do have Vanessa already who does some lore drops here and there so I guess that'd be redundant.

Don't know about some people, but didn't actually mind how the springlock failure happens though Afton acting like some cartoon character with his reactions to getting impaled are kind of wonky, though since Lillard hams up his performances often, I guess it's a minor gripe. It's more his final line "I always come back!"

It's definitely a cool line hearing it being said after it being such an iconic catchphrase from the games, and even if it felt goofy, again I equated that with Lillard's hamminess. But, again, I feel the line falls flat on anyone not tuned in with the lore. Instead of being an intimidating, final threat of spite, a non-FNAF fan would be like "What do you mean you always come back? This is the first time I've seen you, I think."

Perhaps also having the Yellow Rabbit periodically stalking Mike would have also been good since that would raise the tensions. We also know little on Afton in this film, but since Lillard had signed up for a three-film deal, maybe more will be revealed in the sequel.

Vanessa also felt underutilized. Like I understand that she was someone who had her childhood destroyed by her sociopath of a father, but it made a lot of her previous actions completely confusing. Again, the film could have benefitted from flashbacks to further flesh her out as a character aside from the small "he really messed you up" note from Mike. Not helping is the film tipping into predictability. I defy you to say that no one saw Vanessa jumping in to intervene coming after she was all like "I can't go there, I just can't!"

That and the film should have made her being in cahoots with Afton more apparent. He rants saying that he wanted her to kill Mike if he was getting in too deep with unraveling the mystery, but... when was that ever the case? Vanessa acts super sus, but we have no real threads to follow to get the explanation. That, and him saying she was fixing a mess that she started was very interesting. I really wanted to know what he was implying: if we assume that the crying child is canon to this timeline, was she the one who perpetrated the Bite of '83 that made Afton into the crazy serial killer he would become, or was it just referring to this occasion where she did not kill Mike as he demanded?

My boi Golden Freddy was done dirty. He was intimidating which was good, but the film does a poor job at introducing him. GF is understood as being a "ghost" character of sorts who crashes your game, but the film never goes into the differences enough between him and the other animatronics. He can leave the pizzeria unlike the others and can open and close the doors at will, but we know so little about him. It does such a disservice, it is not surprising anyone not familiar with the series would be unable to tell the difference between Golden Freddy and regular Freddy further compounding on the confusion.

The tone also felt inconsistent at times. The kill at the beginning sets the mood well, and we get some of that mood later in the act. The animatronics massacring the crew Jane paid to wreck up Freddy's was horrific especially with what happened to Max, but then the animatronics are all cutesy with Abby (which, yeah, it was because Afton was influencing the animatronics somehow to lull Abby into a false sense of security before getting her stuffed) like with the fort scene. I am not.... completely against it because, while whacky, it reinforces the notion that the animatronics are not truly evil at heart: they are lost, scared ghosts of children who had their lives robbed of them. But Bonnie falling on his back is... kind of silly.

Of course, this is a result of the games being somewhat tongue-in-cheek with Scott being a master-class troll, but the humor doesn't really hit well and almost feels like a conglomeration of different scripts that were Frankensteined together. The who gets custody of Abby thing is also not helping matters.

The film appears to be at a total loss: it has to cater to a young audience since they play the games or buy the merchandise, but they try to push the envelope as far as they could for a PG-13 film, but doing so causes a total whiplash in tone. It does not know what audience it is trying to appeal to.

Despite it all, will say that I came out of the film finding it good. Not great, but nowhere near the trashfire some critics are making it out to be. But even then, I think the movie critics are not totally wrong in most of their points. The movie is flawed and only works for a select audience and maybe can be a gateway for kids to see more horror films and, since they are marketable characters, maybe the film acquired some new fans.

The film is an accomplishment having been in development hell for years, but I really wish that the film could have been better. I am not expecting Shakespeare in terms of writing as while good writing contributes to making a movie workable, it is not automatically making it "good." Much like the Super Mario Bros. Movie, FNAF 2023 is a simple, predictable story, which is not a complete knock on it as... well, both films had the fans in mind.

But with Mario's case, you have 40+ years and supplementary material to work with. FNAF had little to no story when it started off as a simple point and click survival horror game. While I am fine with a simple story, it could have been done so much better and more accessible for everyone besides fans.

Yeah, I was surprised they mentioned that actually. It was one of those things that, from my point of view, were treated more as jokes when brought up than anything; so I was pleasantly surprised when Moon was distressed at Foxy’s presence and brought it up.

Though for the “kids show” thing, I see it more as the show not having a specific target audience, there are FNaF fans, there are older fans, there are younger fans, etc, etc. Still, one would think this channel would’ve stopped being considered for kids when all the murder happened, or when all the intrafamiliar abuse was shown, or when one of the protagonists had a psychotic breakdown, but apparently not :/

Now, Bloodmoon

You are the second person I have encountered who holds the exact same interpretation. And between their and your evidence, it checks out.

Personally I’m a bit iffy on the ‘Bloodmoon is a child’ thing due to my own reasoning of ‘Lunar isn’t a child, so Bloodmoon isn’t a child’, still, the interpretation is valid and to be completely honest, the people who run with this headcanon have made some very good works with it.

As for the other part of this one, the Jigsaw thing, yeah… yeah it… it really is read like that. You bring up the fact that Bloodmoon is meant to enjoy hurting others, a point I didn’t even consider, and link it to Jigsaw’s designing of them, Jigsaw who completely screwed Bloodmoon over with the way they were made. Shock collar, weak point, the need to obey//lack of free will, potentially tampered memories (that one is more a headcanon than anything), Jigsaw had been manipulating Bloodmoon since the moment they were remade.

Put all of that together with their masochism and attitude towards the twins and you get a horrifying situation.

(And this one might just be me remembering wrong, but didn’t Bloodmoon try to tear up Jigsaw’s arm at one point and completely backed off when Jigsaw kept goading them to do it?)

And you know what makes this worse? Ruin’s reveal. Because that would mean that Ruin did not have to do any of that. Faking masochism, understandable in the absolute hellhole its dimension was, not so much in the canon dimension, though I suppose it did manage to get Bloodmoon to not want to hurt it, it’s still creepy. The shock thing, which was an earlier reveal… ok that’s still as bad as it was when it was revealed that the controller didn’t actually work and Jigsaw was faking it. It retroactively makes its treatment of Bloodmoon seem even more predatory due to the fact that it did that just because, as if it took amusement from seeing Bloodmoon get uncomfortable at its acting.

(And I don’t know where to fit it but Bloodmoon used the shock as a reward system for Jigsaw after they saw how he enjoyed it, under these lenses that’s just straight up grooming isn’t it?)

I really doubt the writers were going for this though, but it has happened either way, we have been shown the evidence and can very organically come to this conclusion. Highly doubt the show will ever address this one HOWEVER— I feel the need to mention that the fans have.

If it’s bringing this to light you want, may I recommend ‘My secret little apprentice(s)’? It’s a Bloodmoon centered fic, centered around the October Takeover or 2023. Jigsaw very openly harasses Bloodmoon like that, and it is treated as a serious thing, even though the twins don’t particularly understand what is happening or why it makes them feel bad. It’s shown together with Jigsaw generally being a manipulative asshole towards the twins, I think there’s gaslighting, there’s definitely emotional abuse, and there’s physical as well in the shape of them being shocked (which I feel the show also skipped over), all of it wrapped “nicely” (not nice, very bad) under Jigsaw’s pretense of being Bloodmoon’s family//brother

So, yeah, uh, I don’t know what my point here was. This is a serious topic, the show does weird stuff sometimes, different interpretations are cool, Ruin and Bloodmoon’s dynamic is very versatile and deeply toxic and should be played around with more even if the results are this level of creepy, yeah

I’m so glad that old moon talked about the time when foxy harassed him. Yeah, I know the current foxy is a whole different character, but I feel like the show didn’t really talk about it.

If your confused, I’m referring to the episode where foxy made a bunch of borderline sexual comments about moon and tried to get him to go on a date with him, refusing to except no when moon very firmly said he’s not Interested.

The reason why I’m glad we’re talking about this now is for there reasons, one, maybe the show won’t be referred to as a kids show anymore, two, other characters who have dealt with similar things too might have some light shined on them too, three, I feel like no one really noticed that this happened And it honestly was really disturbing. Plus, it might help with the whole “people shipping old moon despite him being aroace” Situation. Particularly with foxy? I’ve seen some stuff shipping foxy and moon. granted it might be nexus/new moon

This show has struggled with being considered and “kids show” for so long at this point. And I do understand why, a lot of sun and moon fnaf fans are younger, plus the show started off with some more kid friendly episodes before adding eclipse and things got dark after that. But this show contains a lot of dark themes, Id prefer if my future didn’t didn’t watch until they got older (at least 13)

The “other characters” I’m referring to is bloodmoon. You will not change my mind that ruin harassed bloodmoon. He made bloodmoon to hurt people, while having a thing for getting hurt. He set bloodmoon up so that bloodmoon would be angry enough to lash out if given the chance, and told bloodmoon he could shock him, and proceeded to get *very* into it if you know what I mean. Some people might agrue that bloodmoon was in control and knew what was happening, but that’s not fully true. Bloodmoon had no idea ruin was into it, and was being manipulated, and seemed genuinely confused and disturbed when ruin liked the shocks.

On top of that, I’d like to bring up something killcode said back when he was considered bloodmoons fathers. In an episode, when talking to eclipse, he said something along the lines of “now allow me to speak with your *child* sibling” that being bloodmoon. Some people said that killcode was calling bloodmoo a child like he does eclipse, just in a fatherly way, but if that was the case, wouldn’t he say something like “allow me to speak with my other child”? That would make more sense. Meaning that bloodmoon is a child. At least compared to eclipse. Now maybe ruin made bloodmoon older when remaking him? But even then, that would still be very creepy- also baring in mind ruin and bloodmoon considered each other siblings.

Sun and moon theory

Okay, okay I'm sure someone has figured this out by now and the likelihood that this is wrong is very high but also as an old fnaf fan getting theories proven right and wrong is just par for the course. So let’s get down to what me and my friends have noticed.

This theory all started when a friend of mine mentioned how out of place sundrop and moondrop where compared to the other animatronics, this would be fine if there wasn’t a very obvious way to connect them to the 80’s aesthetic, and over the series a lot of lore heavy characters tended to not match their groups such as the puppet or springtrap. This doesn't have a lot of weight on the theory but I thought it was interesting to note. In one section of the pizzaplex we find a note explaining the missing balloon boy minigame. 

‘MAINTENANCE LOG - The BB World game has been acting up. Customers have complained that it starts to glitch over time. I headed to the theater to fix it and now it's gone. I never saw a move request so it should still be there somewhere. I guess I'll check again after the company meeting.’ Now where do we find this arcade game? In a secret room behind sundrops ‘castle’, we can assume this is sundrops room as there are toys placed here like they have been played with. We see children's drawings and pieces from out in the daycare. The balloon boy minigame is through a small tunnel into another room (never a good thing to have) here we find another note and I want you to notice if this sounds like anyone. ‘ They are working together. The arcades. They are hiding something. The glitches. Glitch them all at the same time… then the Princess will recognize me. She’s testing me. I am not yet worthy. The others are protecting it. Let me stay! I am so close! Just one more night, please! I can save the Princess!’ 

Now I wouldn’t put it past fnaf to put in a completely new character for the game, or maybe this is Vanessa, either one would work and fnaf has been known to throw completely new characters at us. However I can’t help but notice that this message sounds strangely like a certain sun we all know. 

We also know that all the animatronics are glitched by Vanessa, and while this is very obvious with moon, sun is less so. I think when Vanessa let out the glitch moon was infected first and sun noticed this and attempted to find some way to reverse it. However he may have just walked into his own demise in his attempt to look for clues. 

This arcade game was stolen by him, since there isn’t any move order in the message, and it’s in his room. It’s only A to B to assume he stole the game. How he found out about princess quest or the glitches is still beyond me and I'm trying to scour the game for more information about it.

The balloon boy minigame is riddled with glitchtrap influence, and I think it’s no coincidence that the sun and moon in that game are represented by each daycare attendant respectively. At the end we see an eclipse, the moon overtaking the sun, and the words ‘good night’ in purple. It’s a little creepy to think that in his quest to help his other half sun may have infected himself with the glitch and ended up as we see him in game. I refuse to believe that’s how he usually is, yes as a children's robot they have to be energetic, but also they are an attendant to the children. They have to take care of a child, and in the state both sun and moon are in I doubt either is fit to keep a child safe and happy. That’s the thing as well, it’s a little creepy in my opinion, that the robot with the closest access to very young children may have been the one in direct contact with glitchtrap glitches from a broken machine. Anyway, that's my theory! Or at least part of it, still got to look for more clues and see if anything else adds to this, I’ve got a lot more for the ideas on why there are eyeless staff bots in their room, and the sheer amount of moondrop iconography down in the endo area so I hope you all will stick around for those rambles!
