What we are suffering now is the consequence of an accumulation of bad decisions that we have been accumulating throughout the pre-season.

Letting go Busquets when we didn't have a reliable DM before the season stsrted, Romeu was just decent in Girona and obviously wouldnt handle Barca pressure since he never has been in a big club. Not having one made Gavi, another season again, to favour the other players since he is the only reliable one who made the defensive work.

Letting go Jordi Alba and not getting a LB, he was Balde's competition and I think it was an importsnt factor to keep him more motivated to gain that spot in the starting XI. Also we could rotate him because he cannot let youngsters be overplayed

Not getting a proper RB. We went with the idea of BACK since they helped us winning Laliga last season but nobody wants to play in that position and it hurted us in many ways.

Letting go Tenas as our second choice, i know Ter Stegen being this out for so many months was unoredictable but man, he is getting older and at some point we have to start rotating him and Tenas was perfect for that

Unexperienxed staff. I know that half of pur tactics wouldnt be as bad as theyre now if Xavi had people to tell him how to do the right things at the right moments, and literally tell him thay playing players out of position to favour only 1 is an horrible idea

The injuries. Many of them were inside the pitcj but the others were also because of incompetiviness. We shouldve changed physios, trainers and medical staff when all this epidemic of injuries started.

The forwards. Lewandowski started to lower his workrate after WC, but nobody expected that this season would be so freakin worse. Still dont know why we didnt sell Raphinha because guy tries and tries but he doesnt hit, same goes with Ferran. Félix is way too inconsistent too.

Literally we never sign players from 25 to 29 years old or something, they either go to children or +30 and it pissed me off so bad. We are an unbalanced team because they either are not capable of playing so many matches because they are too young and unexperienced or theyre washed.

The pressing system relying to one and only one player. Xavi relying on Gavi for all this work only shows his unexperience because evn if you trust him so much, you cannot just let a 19yo do all the job that its supposed to do the whole defense and only a CM who has to sacrifice himself for the team and do all the dirty work

Also relying on Gavi to be the motor of this team. Genuinely why are these veterans relying to a 19yo to be the moral, emotional, passion and motivational support? Once they took Gavi awau from them they are so fucking useless in both recovering balls and having a minimum of passion. Do they know for which team theyre playing for?

The salaries. Im sorry but the FPP rules are killing us and Frenkie not lowering his salary is the main culprit, and Lewa too because the man has been shit for months yet he receives lots of money

Not getting rid of useless players like Sergi Roberto or Marcos Alonso.

Not signing any relevant players that could make a difference in the club

Honestly anything too torture-y. There are movies I like that have torture in them, but either its mostly offscreen/goes by quick or it's just one or two scenes. What bothers me are the movies that are ALL torture. I don't know how someone can watch 2 hours straight of people in pain. Like I'd never watch an Eli Roth film, and I've really been dragging my feet watching Saw. I know the first one isn't nearly as bad but the whole idea of the series kinda grosses me out so I keep putting it off. Also it's not rare for animals to die in horror movies but I will avoid a movie if I know it happens. Like I would probably like Drag Me to Hell, but I know what happens to the kitten so I've been avoiding it.

I think everyone should watch Nope. I think it's a masterpiece. I'd consider it more of a thriller than a horror movie, though. There's that One Scene which is one of the most anxiety inducing things Ive ever seen (fun fact the second time I watched it in theaters I started crying right before the scene happened bc I was so scared to see it again). But the rest really isn't that scary.

So definitely watch Nope if you can, but if you want more of a horror movie... I love The Menu, it came out last year. I was going feral watching it in the theater. I know people who hate horror movies who loved it. And I know its reputation but the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie is super close to my heart. If gore bothers you I promise that its not gory at all, no one believes me when i tell them, but aside from from blood splatter there's no gore. My cousin hates gore but she watched it with me a few halloweens ago and she liked it a lot. The dinner scene is legit one of my favorite scenes of all time, the directing is really cool. I love it to death, I watch it every October.

Cherry Falls is usually my go to for obscure horror movies. I feel like I'm one of the only people who cares about it at all, or even knows it exists. It traumatized me pretty bad as an 8-year-old, but as an adult i dont think its scary. it's a really interesting movie though and is still very relevant today. It's just REALLY hard to find. I think the only way you can even watch it is by buying the Bluray. Also heavy cw for sexual assault. It has a point in the movie, it's not just for shock value, it's a part of the message. But yea heads up if it bothers you at all (i did make a video on it a long time ago too so I guess you can check that out???)

Something that's easier to find: Cube. I love Cube, it's such an engaging watch. It's very character driven and the premise and setting is really unique. And I think it’s on Tubi!! 10/10 would recommend

i always knew from first hand experience and interest in the welcome to the game games that adam was a giant asshole. i dont know if he actually has issues or not (it would unfortunately prove the righteous types of online people that these types of ""disturbed"" games cant be made by ""normal"" people) but im making it explicit now that if he has its not relevant in the slightest to the fact that he is like, just a douche. leagues different from yandev my favorite dev case study sure, but at the same time not that far off (im always saying well at least adam has finished games, then i remember the perpetual limbo of his magnum opus rides with strangers, again not too dissimilar to yansim)

you know, typical douchery like trump hat on twitter, hahaha they hate me cause im trolling im real i dont protect the snowflakes and i dont make easy games if you want easy mode youre getting a pile of shit as an ending (not a direct quote!! its been years!!! i dont remember what he said!! only the vibe of it remained)

i also knew he had a "troll update" to wttg2, but afaik i honest to god thought it was twitch integration and nothing more. at the time i didnt know said integration had mandatory 'ask first' rule, and the troll update was enabled by default.

i recently got a video suggested to me about a guy analyzing if markipliers runs of the game were influenced by adam to be doomed to failure, then talk about what adams update was, then say 'fools! this was the gateway example to talk about the ethics of including such things in games!' which ill admit wasnt really what i clicked the video for but interesting topic nonetheless given what the troll update actually was... a backdoor to edit the game as he saw fit if he felt like it.

THEN i learned he bricked the game of a streamer that had given him copious exposure before because someone asked the streamer what he thought of adam and, like literally everyone else on the planet, the answer was "an asshole".

man i dunno. im surprised at mylsef for being surprised hed put a backdoor in the games, given its very inline with both the games subjects and who he is as a person. i was not suprised he used it as petty revenge elon musk style. and im still thinking about the video so thats something. he said he took it out eventually but that was definitely the straw on the camels back for me in terms of ever getting the games to play myself. a true shame, its the type of dumb frustrating fun i tend to enjoy.

as a last somewhat unrelated note adam placing himself as the evil mastermind antagonist in these games that cant be defeated no matter what is also a significant tell of what his personality is like. why not be like sr pelo he got stabbed mid public toilet shit by the villain of the year in last years spooky monthfhhggffdspo sorry.

Crack is like a funny out of character based fanfiction. For example: Sherlock is canonically really serious and only makes a joke when it's relevant. But Crack Sherlock makes dick jokes every five seconds and smacks John on the arse every single time.

  "Hey Johnny boy! How was your first day in London?" Harry called from the couch, a rare occurrence,"Beat up some nerds?"

  "I don't 'beat up nerds', Harry," John hoisted his black and red bag up his shoulder,"Where's mum and dad?"

  "Could've jumped off a cliff for all I care- I get to watch telly," she flipped through a few channels,”But honestly? No clue.”

  “Right, well I’m going to take a nap,” he started up the stairs, tossing his schoolbag into his room before following and shutting the door.

  John had an interesting first day at London Academy, ever since moving down from Edinburgh, he’s felt a bit out of place, and this school only made it worse. Not knowing a single soul in the entire system made him uneasy, he felt small, as if everyone knew he was some new kid that would be easy pickings. It was the middle of the first semester for Christ’s sake! 

  Even being a posh school, it still had its downsides, now the bullies weren’t just mean, they were mean and could leave an insignia on your forehead from a 24 karat gold ring on their fingers.

  That being said, he didn’t necessarily get beat up, but he did encounter the bullies of the school. Donovan and Anderson, well… Sally and Philip, but their last names made it sound cooler; like a 007 movie. And the way he met them? The two idiots were beating a kid up, about his age, maybe a year or two younger, tall, lanky, a mop of curly brown-black hair, and blue eyes that could pierce right through you. Of course John helped him, told the bullies off and gathered all his things. They were apparently in the same Gen Chem class. 

  He plopped onto his bed, only bothering to kick off his shoes, and curled up under his blankets.

Without a moment’s hesitation, he shed his clothes from yesterday, tossing them in a pile, and put clean clothes on; that was the most effort he’d put into his appearance considering the bus would be pulling around in ten minutes. He practically sprinted out of the door with his bag haphazardly slung over his shoulder, not minding the yell out of the door from his mother demanding that he didn’t run in the house. 

  A few other kids from his street were waiting for the bus, one of which he recognised,”Morning Sherlock.” 

  “Ah, John, I wasn’t aware you rode this route,” the tall boy sounded pleased at the fact,”I assume your parents dropped you off yesterday.”

  “Ya, mum wanted a picture- embarrassing really-” John felt a blush come up on his cheeks,”and I assume you walk back in the afternoons?”

  “I do, mostly to people-watch. It’s fascinating what the general public will do when they don’t think anyone is watching.”

  John laughed at the mental image of Sherlock crouched in a bush with a pair of binoculars,”That’s fair enough. You like odd things, don’t you?”

  Sherlock looked near-offended,”Problem?”

  “Not at all, it makes you… not-boring.”

  There was a short silence, there was a certain tension that neither of them could place. Though in a moment of pure instinct, Sherlock reached for the shorter boy’s hand, grasping it comfortably. Nobody in the group saw,”I also assumed you were a bit out of my league.”

  “Seems that you were wrong.”

  “I’m never wrong.”

  “Wrong again, idiot.”

  “Terms of endearment already? You flatter me, John.”

  They both laughed; maybe school here wouldn’t be so bad.

⚙️ NCT 2021 YearDream : Stage 4 - Resonance Thoughts

My first thoughts about NCT 2021′s NCT 2021 YearDream : Stage 4 - Resonance.

Disclaimer: I  will change my writings and thoughts over time depending on the new info I get. I made this before I read other theories from other people.

Seems like this is the last YearDream? Now that all of the members participating this year appeared in each videos. This one’s pretty direct of what’s happening.

I think SM also needs to clarify the difference between shooting in studios or outdoor locations; perhaps they are different types of dream? No. seriously. Like this Stage 4, most of the scenery is just a studio with colors while if you compare to Stage 2 where they shot in outside or in rooms that doesn’t have striking colors like this (where it is also easy to figure which stage they are in), how are they different...?

It just confuses me.

I’m starting to believe that Green means like the REAL start of the dream. The REM sleep stage.

So when light blue is like light sleep, before the real dreaming, Green is when you enter the dream world. REM sleep stage is when most dreams happen. If I can talk to their directors, I would HIGHLY suggest them to show a similar picture/diagram to that screenshot^ so I can make sure its still relevant :” but I’m sure it can still be used, as long as Blue and Red are on each ends.

All of the members in here are synchronized. Since there are a lot of Purple in this video, they are in a deep dream. The members here are like showing Sungchan and Shotaro around. Introducing them to it and making sure they are comfortable with it. I presume that they can synchronize at the start of REM sleep and they somehow enter the deeper dream together.

Most of the conversations are like when they just met again, before NCT2020. As for this video and Stage 0, and perhaps Stage 3, we are brought back to the past and they tell us how they met again in Resonance2020.

Now this. Confuses me.

“It’s been a while since we gathered at Kwangya of unconsciousness.”

Even until now, I still don’t have a definite understanding  of Kwangya. I know its suppose to represent SM, all artists can enter it. Its an open space, sandy like a planet, and it has floating objects on it. That’s what I can tell so far from Kanta’s Free to Fly, SMCU the Origin, and SM Leader Film. SM I swear you need to be consistent and clear😭 and Kwangya is NOT the same NCT’s desert. Basing it on Kangta’s Free to Fly, Sungchan can enter the place where Kangta is by dreaming.

UNLESS there are many versions of Kwangya for each artists.

Winter, representing aespa, entered Kwangya by a P.O.S. She also found out about it using a gadget. aespa enters Kwangya by their own portal.

Meanwhile, Sungchan slept. This Kwangya for NCT can be entered if they are in the unconscious.

So there are different Kwangyas. aespa have their own Kwangya where they can go in by P.O.S, while NCT’s Kwangya is in the unconscious? The one in Kangta’s MV is like the ‘universal’ Kwangya. Other artists also have their own? I need more materials to confirm this because everything from SM is so vague :”( yet they’re so pushy about the whole SMCU when it’s difficult to understand.

Moving on

“Ah, I had a feeling in my dream to meet Jungwoo and I was correct.”

That line somehow made me think that yea, for them to synchronize, they either think of each other or they are given a signal or like a feeling so that their thoughts are mutual. That or since Jungwoo has always had a special role too, its easy for him to synchronize with other members? He sends signals to other members to synchronize? This reminds me of this scene in Stage 3.

So Jungwoo sent the signal? That seem a bit like a stretch. Shotaro was in his own dream then Jungwoo invited him? Maybe not just Jungwoo, including the other members in Stage 4.

Like what I said, everyone in here are resonating, everyone is synchronized. Now that they have the same goal, they can empathize with each other and sync their dreams.

Looking at what they’re wearing, its like the one in the YearParty video. Perhaps this is before Resonance 2020. Not saying all of the YearDream videos are before NCT2020, though. I mean its called ‘YearDream’... I’ll find out more about this. Though the other stages are mostly about SM telling us what it’s like in their dream, what happens in there, how they can meet each other.

So where is this? Is this suppose to be their desert? But at night? Or is it ‘their’ Kwangya?

April Fools

I’ve always wondered if April Fools existed in the wizarding world. I’ve come to the conclusion for this fic that it doesnt so the reader can introduce the Weasley twins to it. Chaos ensues. This takes place in harrys 3rd year and the twins 5th year. Technically you would be in 5th year as well, but your gender nor house are specified.

You were writing your potions essay in the quidditch stands when an identical set of loud voices brought you out of your trance.

“Hey, short stack.” Fred and George flew up to your section.

“Oh look, it’s the demonic duo.”

George smirked, “Because we’re so devilishly handsome?”

“No, because your both so ugly that even Jesus couldnt save your face so satan had to take you.” You heard two squawks of indignation but continued on.

“Also, I’m not that short. Y/H is average.”

“Ah,” Fred sat down to your right, “but your shorter than us, so your short.”

“Everyone’s shorter than you two beanstalks.”

“You’re still short.” You stuck your tongue out at George and he mirrored you.

“What do you two want?”

“I’m hurt... always assuming we want something..” Fred trailed off.

“Yeah, we can’t have a conversation with our best friend?”

“I feel betrayed.”

“Depressed.”

“Cheated!”

“Is our friendship a lie?”

“Enough!” You giggled out.

“You don’t have to need something, but you stopped in the middle of practice for a reason.”

“Well... Gryffindor team likes to listen to music when we practice right?” Fred leaned in and put his chin on your shoulder.

“Ok and?”

“Well, all we have is Celestina Warbeck music and your muggle music just is much better than ‘a cauldron full of strong, hot love’”, George sung that last bit.

“So we wanna know if we can borrow your CDs and player?”

“Flawless impression. Yes you can use them, I’ll bring them out next practice. Though honestly, I really ought to get you one of your own so you don’t have to keep asking every time u want to listen to music.”

George hummed in agreement next to you.

“Maybe that’ll be your birthday gift. When is it anyways... I’ve known you two for almost a year and you never told me.”

“It’s in about a month. April 1st.” George confirmed.

You let out a bark of laughter. “Yeah, that checks out.”

You got a rare pause of silence.

“What do you mean ‘that checks out’?” Fred looked honestly confused, and so did George.

“Are you both messing with me? You have to know what holiday is on April 1st right?” They shook their heads no.

“Really? Hold on a second let me ask Hermione if she knows anything. ‘Mione!” You got her attention from a few stands over and she jogged over to the three of you.

“Yeah, what’s wrong?”

“Nothing, can you answer a question?” She nodded and you continued, “ without saying it out loud, you know what holiday is on April 1st, right?” She nodded again.

“Yea, why is that relevant?”

“Because they don’t!” You motioned frantically to the twins behind you and Hermione shook her head.

“Do not tell them they don’t need another reason to go around causing more chaos.”

“Oooh,” Fred lifted up his head in interest, “this sounds interesting. What holiday is on April 1st that we don’t know about?”

Hermione shook her head as Harry flew over and dismounted. “What’s going on, practice is over, why aren’t you lot leaving?”

You turned to him quickly, “Harry, without saying it, you know what holiday is on, April 1st, right?” He nodded before realizing what was going on and started laughing.

“Don’t encourage them Harry!” Hermione pushed him slightly.

“Why not? It would be funny to see what they do with that.”

Fred and George were getting frustrated, “With what?”

“Don’t tell them, Y/N!”

“Tell them, Y/N!” “Tell us, Y/N!”

“Ok ok I’ll tell you!” You conceded and Hermione threw her hands up in exasperation and left to collect her bag.

“On two conditions!”

Fred and George whispered to each other for a second before turnin to you and nodding.

“Of course.” Said George with a sly grin.

“What are these conditions?” Fred finished for him.

“Number 1. When I tell you the holiday, I get full immunity from the days effects.”

“But of course.” They spoke in unison

“Number 2. Anyone asks, I had nothing to do with this.”

Fred shrugged, “That’s fair. So, what holiday is on April 1st?”

You grinned before replying, “April Fool’s!”

“What is April Fool’s?” George’s eyes went wide.

“A holiday dedicated to playing pranks on people. Muggles prank their friends, family, teachers, principal. In my primary school one of my friends put a bunch of live chickens in a teachers car.”

They looked at you with pure glee.

“Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!” Fred and George each planted a kiss on you cheek and ran off.

Fred and George dropped into the library chairs in front of you two weeks later.

“So we were thinking.” Fred grinned from the chair closest to you.

“And since you were the one to tell us about this glorious holiday, you should be part of the celebration.”

“No.”

“Why nooooot?” George whined, setting his chin on the table and looking at you with his best puppy eyes.

“I’m not going to get in trouble for a holiday and besides, its your holiday. You don’t need me interfering.”

“But we want you there so you should do it, right? And you wouldn’t be interfering. Please?” Fred joined his brother in puppy eyeing you.

You sighed and nodded in agreement.

“Yay! So we were thinking that maybe we could pull something minor on each of the teachers and then something major on the whole school. What do you think?”

“It could work, but you would have to tailor it to each teacher. Snape can’t stand background noise and high pitches, McGonagall hates being even remotely interrupted, Flitwick can’t stand his bookstack being messed with, and Lupin, for whatever reason, doesn’t like fish.”

“Fish?” George tilted his head like a confused puppy.

“Yeah, he thinks they’re gross or something.”

They both nodded before Fred spoke up, “Ok, so what are you suggesting?”

You thought for a moment before responding, “For snape, I have this little old transportable music player. We could charm it to follow him around and play a bunch of kazoo noises in the background. The more he tries to get rid of it the higher pitch and louder it gets.”

“Ooh, I like that. What else?” George nodded for you to continue.

“We could find a spell where every time McGonagall tries to speak, she gets interrupted by, I don’t know, a horn or something? Flitwick I don’t really have anything.”

“I like the way you think.” Fred grinned and added in, “ . We could turn Lupin’s class into a tiny lake and fill it with fish while he’s up in his office?”

George nodded, “And we could make Flitwick's stack fly around the room while he’s on it?”

“You’re both evil. It’s fantastic.” You high fived them and the three of you left to enact your plans.

The next two weeks were a never-ending whirlwind of prank planning and late night kitchen runs, but finally the three of you were done. The plans were set up and now all there was to do was wait.

First class of the day was McGonagall’s and the three of you walked in trying to wipe the grins off your face.

“Good morning class, please turn to-” *HONK* Your professor whipped her head around to see where the sound was coming from to no avail. She shook her head and continued on.

“As I was-” *HONK HONK* “Where is that noise coming from?”

The class stifled laughter as she ran around looking for the origin of the honking.

For twenty minutes.

“I swear to” *HONK*

“Oh for the love of” *HOOOOONK*

Eventually McGonagall grew tired and dismissed the class half an hour early.

Snape was next on the hit list.

Your professor strode into the classroom, looking obviously annoyed. A tiny radio followed after him playing a nonsense tune with kazoos. The class  burst into laughter but was promptly shut up by a particularly harsh glare.

The next hour was trademarked by Snape repeatedly trying to destroy the radio physically or through magic while he had the class make a healing potion. The noise just got louder and louder and when the bell rang for the last class before lunch Snape barked at everyone to “GET OUT NOW”.

At lunch, you, Fred, and George each grabbed a sandwich and an apple and were about to rush out to have time to set up Lupin’s prank when Harry, Ron, and Hermione stopped you.

“The radio in Snape’s class, who’s bloody idea was that?” Fred and George pointed to you and Ron responded with a high five.

As you three left you could hear Hermione reprimanding Ron for encouraging you.

Lupin’s class took time to set up, but he always took lunch in his office and rarely opened the door.

The three of you placed a tiny device in the center of the floor, rushed out of the classroom, and waited.

You heard a loud BANG and then a stream of curses before running off to hide.

By the time you three returned for class, a student had opened the door to find Lupin taking refuge at the staircase and yelling that class was cancelled for the day and to read Chapter 17!

This brings us to Flitwick’s class.

The plan for his had already been enacted. Since when the three of you stepped into his class, he was clutching onto  Standard Book of Spells, Grade 2 and yelling out instructions while also asking that someone help him down.

You three took pity halfway through class and found a ladder for him to use.

The four pranks had gone off without a hitch, now you just needed to pull of dinner and everything would be perfect.

Fred and George snuck into the kitchens and as food was being prepared to go out, they placed a few drops of a specialized potion on about half of the platters.

So they reconvened with you at dinner.

You each sat there, and then you waited as people dug into their food.

After about thirty seconds the chaos you had been waiting for occurred. Half the Great Hall turned into various zoo creatures, all frantically running around the tables and crashing into people. The human half of the hall was torn between laughing and running.

They ultimately settled on running.

As everyone cleared out of the hall, the students were ushered back to their respective dorms, and the three of you escaped to the kitchens.

As soon as the portrait entrance was closed, the three of you looked at each other before bursting into laughter.

“AHAHAHAHA- OH that was BRILLIANT!” You half screamed.

“Did you see the look on Sprouts face when Snape turned into a peacock? A PEACOCK!” Fred screeched, nearly on the floor.

“I don’t know if we could ever outdo that!” George replied, who was on the floor.

Eventually the three of you calmed down and you caught your breath to reply.

“Knowing you two, you could. Before we leave, come on. I got you something.”

You brought them over to a table in the middle of the kitchens where two cupcakes and a CD player was set up, along with around 10 CDs next to it.

“I completely forgot about that!” Fred exclaimed.

“Thank you so much!” George and Fred leaned down a little to hug you at the same time.

“Uh, guys, getting a little crushed here.”

“Right, sorry.” George detangled himself from the hug.

“I’m not, gonna keep crushing you.” Fred squeezed tighter.

You laughed and hugged him back.

“Happy Birthday.”

i like how prophetic dreams and prophecies in itself different from visions are interpreted in different ways and in diff directions but also by different people for eg stannis and Mel, Rhaegar and dany or other targaryen kings. Jojen and bran, Cersei and Maggy etc...

Melisandre usually tumbles and makes mistakes she sees what she sees but not exactly she wants to see what should be accurate considering how her major azhor ahai is stannis, was a mistake and an error. However recently we know she sees snow in flames. jon. but im skeptical about him being prince that was promised or AA, when you have....daenerys right here. But she still commits mistakes idk maybe rh'ollor is lil unhinged and is messing with her, but no. i think she is prone to change and her prophecies change too. Mel doesn't stick up to one interpretation and pretty sure will leave stannis in long run if she believes who is AA to her.

But stannis, is stubborn and crude. As a skeptic and well part atheist, he took her words and religious ventures too seriously and has attached with the prophecy too vehemently as if he has to be AA at any cost not knowing prophecy can't matter in the end even, but its so funny to me he risked most of the stuff for red priestess who just came to her and is like, "ight u be the king cuz u have targaryen blood"

Jojen reeds dreams are like mostly about starks and wolves and how they will come back again and when bran and others ask him if what he sees can be changed, he says no. which means him seeing something can be finalized testament or something that will happen one way or other since starks coming back or wolves coming back, is like obvious thing since they have their might broken. Bran is currently well being trained by bloodraven so his views weren't yet in first books but evolved with time.

And my fav part is cersei's prophecy of valonqar and maggy. She is destined or was to marry king not prince and she would have 3 children while robert 16 bastards, and we never knew and it was strange to me how lannisters never acquired or were even mildly amused by idea of magic all the way but cersei going to a witch when she was in casterly rock with her companions was like a major twist for me since i never assumed her to be like that, however she knows her fate will end by valonqar and a young more beautiful queen (def dany) will replace her and take what she holds dear. However cersei's reaction to this prophecy when she herself asks witch to tell her fortune is volatile. She takes to anger and resists it from coming true. She even shapes her life and everything according to not letting the prophecy come true but it follows her to in a way that she does marry robert and has 3 children by incestuous relationship. At the very best however, she avoids it because she hates the truth of it. She steers away from it.

Rhaegar is a different matter to me. I like how he was born as melancholic and amidst grief during tragedy of summerhal and well overall, for me had tragic demise but he took the prophecy too serious differently than stannis even. He made sure to follow and correct it and apply it aptly on his marital life and social life. He even kind of got too carried away and dreamy with it that he didn't himself realise the situation changing with Robert's rebellion and everything happening. Rhaegar however we knew was kind of intellectual and sensual personality so maybe he took the targaryen grief of years of no dragons too seriously too. And in the end well...prophecy really didn't work for him and most of his actions failed him and those around.

Dany is so different in this regards tbh. She is part of two prophecies for me the 'prince that was promised' and AZHOR AHAI. and the last 'younger more beautiful queen'. I mean it's startling. Unlike her brother and even old ancestors of her blood, she intrinsically is tied to so many of these prophetic verses and proves on so many occasions especially after birth of dragons that she indeed can be Azhor Ahai or maybe - the best candidates for her. She doesn't really is obsessed with it or neither is she forcing someone to tell her fate like cersei and then meet the rejection with rudeness infact she kind of subverts expectations one has of glaring prophecy which everyone imagines to be a prince...or a man. But dany really isn't a man lol and neither a prince. Aemon did say too the translated prophecy can have error too and it was not really prince who is promised but could be well...princess if that's even the correct term. Her birth of dragons explained in numerous posts and metas is so phenomenal and makes her ever so wonderful and magical than her all ancestors who died in all tragic ways because they made the prophecies too tied to their lives and were utterly obsessed with it. They were reminiscing over grief of dragons but daenerys bought dragons that to, three back to world after stepping into drogo's pyre and performing a ritual she herself only realised in the end what she was doing and thanks to well MMD. She realized later but still did she realise how the stone eggs did exudate warmth and called to her. Im pretty sure all other targayens and their expectations and experiences were all in vain or went down drain. Dany on the other hand independently alone and on her own without help of anyone but only subtly joining clues and hints, sorted out and stitched the importance and relevance of it. The dragons and ritual. It was anyways a one time magical event too, no wonder her bringing dragons to world is written as " music of dragons" and night came alive with it in AGOT. (interesting that grrm says music of dragons and well rhaegar also liked playing sad music at ruins of summerhall, an emo prince yea)

And Daenerys doesn't really is tied herself to prophecy but most of the prophecies are tied to her. The Younger More Beautiful Queen one indicates at her..tbh and really no one including cersei and her knows about it. The AzAhai one also points to her because she was born in salts of dragonstone and smoke refers to birth of dragons and cracking of sound and smoke during pyre. The sword forged from flame can obv be pointed to drogon whose birth is like fire made flesh of a dragon hence that, and also when Xaro X Daxos says, of her dragons 'as flaming sword'.

but not getting into details of AA as dany because again, there are a lot of essays to it.

I just pointed out how stannis makes prophecy his and forced a little on people, how jojen trains bran too in a way and he still takes time to learn this green visions thing, cersei staggers away from it and damages people to not fulfill it or prevent it from engulfing her...but dany has no idea yet as far of any prophecy only a dream, and house of undying visions which she herself doesnt yet believe all so much we rlly dont know, yet she fulfills def 2/3 prophecies.

long post. one i’ve been trying to make for a while now. hell, i wrote this like... third week of may. didn’t post it until now because i didn’t know if I wanted to.

but something i want to lay out, been wanting to lay out for months. dont want to talk to anyone about it, just want to put the info out there for it to be seen.

if you re/blog this i will block you. i may put this on the relevant sideblog at some point.

because 2020 was the worst year on record for me for a number of reasons, and it’s torn me down to the lowest point i’ve been in a long time, and this is just. everything that’s gone down. not a callout post, no one gets named, but these are all the events

partially in relation to my fandom sideblog, because that’s where i had community, and where it’s all just. gone. doesnt exist anymore.

i started up a server, ages ago now. somewhere i curated to be a positive and safe space for things, and for a while, it was that.

around the end of 2019, spilling over to the start of 2020 when it picked up, i found, both on my blog and in discord spaces, in particular the server i ran, that people no longer talked to me. no one would hold a conversation with me past a few basic responses, no one replied to anything i shared, no one engaged when i tried to start discussions. so i pulled back from the main server - S1. thought it was just a lull in activity. stayed that way for weeks, months, and I just muted the server. no one ever cared about anything i had to say. was lucky if anything i posted got even a token emoji react

was in another, smaller server - S2. people i talked to damn near every day, even in voice. played games together - that became... no fun simply because everyone else was so much better/further ahead in the game. i was completely useless, so didn’t server a function in game and never really felt like anyone actively wanted me around, but i still participated in chat.

but again, no one ever responded to anything I posted beyond maybe a token react

couple people discussing something one day. I contributed with Theory A, and quite immediately got that shut down. few minutes later, they rephrased exactly what I said and happily nattered away. so whatever I said wasn’t worth it when it came out of my mouth but if they talked about it, it was all well and valid. so again, between that specific experience and no one interacting with me, nor anything I post. server muted. treatment taught me no one cared about my presence there.

gave admin rights to S1, my server, to someone I trusted. two requests only: dont delete channels and let me know if you want to invite anyone (since I kept it private)

RYE (i’m just assigning random three letter names to people to keep this straight) posted public invites several times. never asked me. one of the two things i asked. brought it up with them that it bothered me, just got vague noncomittal responses. more public invites. eventually, after having the server muted for months, i handed over full control and left. that was almost a full year ago. none of the people have talked to me in that entire year, through discord or here or anything.

except RYE who sent me a message after a couple months like ‘wow i havent heard from you in a while hope you’re doing ok’. i wasn’t. after a bit but still the same day, i said as much. that i wasn’t doing well. they never responded. and i don’t mean like, they didn’t respond that day. i mean i literally never heard from them until months later when they sent me a meme and also didn’t respond to me commenting on that meme.

and this is one side of things. all of the above was the first half of the year. this next bit happened about. march2020? I was in another server - S3. another place that was a good space at the time. was in voice chat with two other people. started talking about one thing. MIN very suddenly said something along the lines of ‘i don’t care about this i’ll come back when you’re done’

this is one of the very few things that can trigger me - i’ve had a lot of people talk down to me if I dare look excited about anything. when they came back, i asked if they could try to just. depart conversations more softly. MIN always said ‘if i do anything hurtful to you just tell me! i dont want to do that kind of thing!’

this was clearly a lie as they exploded on me, telling me they always have to walk on eggshells around me, that I ask so many things from them. before what I asked them that day, I can only recall one other thing i asked (which was not to talk about a person who was abusive towards me, and they were like ‘yea sure np’ about that, over a year prior’)

the whole thing turned into basically me having to shut down the fact that i was hurt by what they did, had to ignore that now and i had to fawn and placate them and the only thing i got out of that was that my feelings were irrelevant, only theirs.

(incidentally, I have had two other people turn on me in similar ways, accusing me of doing shifty/bad/terrible things, and not being willing to tell me what they are when I ask, only saying that ‘i should know what i did�� so that’s also now a Fun New Bit Of Trauma.)

and that entire weeklong event lead me straight to a breakdown. literal genuine breakdown i cannot convey how devastating that entire scenario was without going into far too many details.

so between all of these things happening in less than six months, with three different community spaces folding and collapsing and fading away from me, with many of the friends i thought i had just. moving on to other things and dropping me. people i talked to every day just not bothering with me anymore. they all have gone on to other stuff and no one ever went ‘hey beets wanna see what i’m up to’ or ‘wanna do this thing with me’

a handful of instances of me saying ‘yeah i’m dealing with these fears that have been reinforced lately that people aren’t safe to deal with, even thought part of me knows they’re probably irrational it feels like i have evidence to back it up’ and people immediately take it personally like i’m saying they’re not safe. despite. me outright saying. i know logically it should be irrational. but their reactions just reinforce it so it’s just a loop and tells me, again, never to bring up any of my problems with anyone.

so this all just reinforces that there’s something wrong with me. couple years back i spoke to a friend and how i was frustrated that I seemed to end up in bad spaces and they said ‘well you’re the one thing in common so its probably your fault’ and obviously they’re not my friend anymore but that has affected me so deeply. i can’t do anything without overthinking, whenever anything goes wrong i tear apart everything i’ve done and everything i’ve said or thought and i don’t know why things keep going bad. i try so hard but i’m just. not right.

so it all teaches me that there’s no point in reaching out in trying to talk to people because if i say ‘hey this hurt me’ i get ignored at best or torn down, yelled at, scolded. no point in trying to talk to new people because everyone just walks away at some point. not even a natural drift apart, i can handle that. but just very suddenly, they’re gone, off with better people doing better things.

roundabout, ties back to ‘consumption versus community’ - this is why i’ve been struggling so hard with lack of engagement on my sideblog. lucky to get a dozen notes on anything i make, unless it’s something other people can use (like mods) and even THEN it’s rare to see much activity. and that was FINE because i had people to talk to elsewhere, who would ask questions and we could back and forth and i shared my stuff and they shared those and it didnt matter if my posts only got a dozen notes because i had friends to talk to.

now i get (example) seven notes, six of which are likes and one is a reblog with no commentary. when i have something with a ton of notes, still, minimal commentary, no one talks to me. even on a mod with five hundred notes it just feels like i went ‘hey i made something :)’ and everyone picked it up and walked away with it, no one went ‘hey this is cool i want to talk to the person who made it.’

and it just feels like 95% of the time, i’m just overlooked. 

and it’s worse than it’s ever been in my entire life, and I wonder, what’s the point of any of this anymore.

why bother to make the posts to share when it all just gets passed by. what’s the point in trying to reach out to new people and make friends when i get lashed out at or left behind? the social is gone out of my social media. i had community, and now it’s gone.

so this has all been going on for months and months and months and hey! suffering. and i dont expect it to get any better, don’t expect this post to fix these issues, but i’ve been trying to say something about all of this for fucking months and i think just, laying it all out is all I can do about it. i’m sure i’ve forgotten some things to touch on but as it is, all these events, all of it happening all together. new traumas, old traumas reawoken, reinforced, i’ve been torn to pieces i don’t know how to function, i can’t remember the last time i felt like even half a real person. taught that the safe, positive spaces that meant so much to me don’t actually exist and they’ll all turn on me and be torn away. nowhere is safe anymore, and trying to make it safe is just going to ruin me again.

people aren’t safe, places aren’t safe, been proven to me time and time again so i just. stay away.

no matter how much i try to fight that, it just doesnt work.

We're three days from the Loki finale and I’m back to spout more meta and theories about episodes 5 & 6! It’s a long one (again.)

I really enjoyed episode five. People have complained that they felt it didn't do much to move the show forward, but one of the things I've loved most about this show is the time it takes to sit with the characters and learn about their backstory, their feelings. (I'm always a little bugged when critics say that an episode hasn't done enough to move the plot forward, because without adequate character development, why should I care about the plot?) I thought the pacing of it was really well balanced.

….and I have never been so nervous for a finale in my entire life. There’s a lot of reasons.

The first is just the fact that I’ve been waiting for this show for a whole year, and the anticipation and excitement of it literally helped get me through the pandemic--so when those final end credits roll I’m going to be a whole mess no matter what happens. (I really hope the rumors floating around about season two are accurate) I also just feel like it’s somewhat inevitable that this is our final farewell to Tom’s Loki, and like—I’ll never be ready, but especially right now, amidst all the rampant controversy around this show, I’m just not ready to deal with that. I have a *small* modicum of hope that this won't be the case, but it feels unlikely. Anyway, guess I’ll die.

I really want this show to stick the landing, so to say. I loved the last episode, but a lot of the response has been that it felt like a lull in the plot. I want this show to end in a satisfying bang so it can get the credit it deserves.

Also I’m a whole hypocrite eating my words from last week—I’m fully on-board with Loki/Sylvie now (not that I was ever really against it)--I’m not sure why I’m surprised. They’re so adorable and wholesome, and I’m in love with seeing Loki in love. It’s so precious. (Just as a PSA, if you’re not into them that’s chill, and you’re allowed to dislike a ship without trying to justify your opinion by labeling shippers as morally problematic. Selfcest isn’t a real thing, therefore there isn’t a moral high ground to stand on here. Okay? Okay.) Wherever it ultimately leads, their relationship is still a really sweet exploration of them both growing and learning how to love themselves and trust others. Also, them cuddling under a tablecloth is the cutest shit I’ve ever seen with my two eyes.

MY THEORIES:

I love Sylvie so much, SO MUCH — and she is 100% going to stab Loki in the back by the end of the next episode. I don’t think the betrayal is going to stick, and by the end they’ll both be on the same page again, but the conversations on trust have been way too one-sided for my comfort. If nothing else she's going to seriously consider it. Here’s one way I can see that going. Spoiler alert: it hurts.

Sylvie betrays Loki at one point—and we see Loki’s growth and arc come full circle as, even after being betrayed by the person he hinged his entire development around, he still believes in doing the right thing, in saving her regardless. It ends in a heart-wrenching self-sacrifice of some kind, and his actions serve as the catalyst for her full development as well. We keep seeing different versions of Loki die for their ‘glorious purpose’, just like how Classic Loki shouts the phrase as he was consumed by Aloith (RIP King, I love you).

Loki has already called Sylvie his glorious purpose (or inferred it). There’s been backlash around him saying that, but the way I see it, it’s less “I’m obsessed with this girl she’s my purpose now” and more “I believe that she’s the best version of us and I’m going to make it my purpose to help her succeed and be what the rest of us aren’t”. That’s why seeing all the other variant Loki’s at their worst in the Loki clubhouse (? what do I call this lol) only fuels him more to find her. I think about what Mobius told him: “You exist to cause pain and suffering and death, all so others can achieve the best versions of themselves”. I don’t think Loki truly believes he can be the best version of Loki — I think he saw Sylvie and thought, "it's her". He’s decided he’s going to help her achieve the best version of herself, but he'll do it giving her love and trust and devotion, rather than through betrayal, pain and suffering. He’s re-writing his pre-determined role, in his own small way. I’m so proud of him.

So who’s behind it all and what’s truly going on here? (This isn’t really one theory, more like a string of possibilities and I don’t really know how they’d fit together.)

I still think it’s another version of Loki. And if it is, I can’t help but appreciate the connections between his position dictating the end of time in the show in relation to Loki’s role in the Norse myths, where he’s the catalyst for the destruction of all things. It feels relevant, considering the whole idea that ‘the end of time hasn’t been written yet’ has come up twice now. That would be a fascinating tie-in to the mythology. (Also—Alioth looks like a giant dog. And Fenrir’s role in Ragnarok was devouring the world—I realize this is a reach but am I the only person seeing this connection?) The thing I really can’t predict is the motivation. What would cause a Loki to want to prevent Loki’s from changing? Was there something that happened in the sacred timeline this Loki is trying to preserve? (I also like the idea of us maybe seeing another version of Sylvie behind it all, but I’m just going to leave that rabbit hole alone. )

But here’s the theory I can’t stop thinking about. There’s a theory floating around tik tok (by user twelvepercentcredit) saying the ‘castle’ we see beyond Alioth looks like a place called the House of Ideas, something that appeared in a (discontinued?) Loki comic. Here’s the wiki page on it. Just looking at the imagery of this compared to the location we’re seeing in the trailers, it’s too similar to be a coincidence. The huge bookshelves, the towering ceilings.

Here’s a description from the wiki:

“The House of Ideas is also home to a library which archives the exploits of every hero who has ever existed in the form of books, written unconsciously by the collective minds of their believers. This collection is curated by Now and Then, two of the children of Eternity. Now and Then routinely seek out heroes to bring into the House of Ideas to bargain with them and give their collections more pages, therefore more time for adventures and exploits. “

And later on the page on how Loki ties in:

“Heeding the desire in Loki's heart to do more with his life, Now and Then approached Loki and brought him to the House of Ideas,[5] where they struck up with him the deal to give more pages to his collection of exploits, rewriting the Books of Loki with a hero's stories in exchange for an eventual hero's death.”

Are they gonna play with the exact happenings of this? I don't know, but it sounds pretty cool!

It would be gutsy to go this route with the show given how meta it is, but I love the idea of it. Would they put characters that embody the abstract ideas of “Eternity” “Now & Then” into the show in the last episode? I’m not sure. Something I could see as a possibility though is an alternate version of Loki having overthrown whoever was previously guarding the timeline, and Loki and Sylvie will have to take them down in turn, thus ‘releasing’ the multiverse to its default, chaotic state.

What if our Loki’s ultimate destiny, ultimate Glorious Purpose, is to release the timelines--restoring all the variants back to their original timelines--and remain in this place for eternity, guarding the timeline and ensuring the multiverse is allowed to exist in its natural state? It seems a pretty fitting role for the God of Chaos. It would also explain why whoever’s behind the TVA would be so desperate to eliminate all variant Loki, if that was his ultimate destiny.

It would be an effective way to remove Hiddleston’s Loki from the movie-verse without killing him, AND place both Sylvie and any other Loki variants back in the the main timeline for use in future films—which we know has to happen somehow, because Young Avengers is definitely happening, and Kid Loki has got to get out of the void somehow.

And yea, this outcome would hurt like a bitch. Because even though that would truly be a lovely glorious purpose for our Loki, he’d be alone. And the whole point of this show is that he doesn’t have to be alone! It would be a very poetic sacrifice for him to take on the burden of watching over the timelines alone for all eternity so that his other variants could be the best versions of themselves, but I really just want him to be happy. I will be crying my eyes out if this happens. I’ll be proud but I won’t be okay.

And this all is probably speculative nonsense and could go off in an entirely different direction. Who knows. All in all, I just really want to see Loki fully believe in himself and his ability, to truly absorb what he said about being stronger than he realizes, and to take control of his destiny.

WHAT I WANT (NEED) FROM EPISODE 6:

Let Hunter B-15 and Mobius team up to burn the place to the ground. She was nerfed in the time-keeper fight, I want to see B-15 kick some ass.

I kind of want Ravonna to escape and be a character that carries over into the films for her tie-ins with Kang? I want to see more of her.

Give Loki a new badass costume. I’m begging. If he’s gonna go down, he deserves to go down in something other than khakis.

And then I want to see him and Sylvie fighting side by side in matching outfits.

I want a Mobius-level hug between them. Or a kiss. Or both. But I want the hug more. And you know what? I want her to initiate the hug or kiss or whatever it is because I want Loki to experience receiving love and affection from others as much as giving it. He deserves it ok??

I expect Mobius on a jet ski in the post credits and if I don’t get it I riot

Let’s talk TroPreCure! (^∀^ 🌺)

i’m so stupidly proud of this dumb pun “tropurikyua~”, hahahahaha

Last post of the year and wow is there are lot to be excited for!

I even had to make a list for the stuff I want to talk about and I’m sure I already forgot one or two things but we’ll get to them as we continue to float~ along the wave to February 28th, mmkay? :)

Now for what has peaked my interest so far. And yes, we have to talk about the following first:

1) HealPre the shortest Precure season??

Unless they plan for double features in February (which I doubt but you never know), HealPre is likely going to reach only 45 episodes long instead of the usual 48~50 before TroPre I’m using this shortening of the title for now so if there’s a better alternative, tell me and I’ll switch out begins its broadcast.

Understandable because the producers probably want to get back to their normal scheduling as soon as possible (toy sales, y’know) and I suspect pushing the start of the new season back by a month is the most they’re willing to compromise.

As for me, I’m quite happy about this since HealPre’s lost its hold on my attention a while ago so the sooner TroPre gets here, the better. Though the downside might be a scrambled climax and a rushed, underwhelming ending for HealPre (I dunno if it’s January’s titles that feel a bit messy or if the hiatus is still throwing me off) but whatever. We’ll refresh ourselves with the new blood Cures so it’s all good.

2) Tropical movie announced for Autumn 2021, no All Stars??

First saw this mentioned on Youtube somewhere but it’s all over the fandom forums by now. I mean, HealPre’s movie is set for March, the usual time slot for All Stars release. If Toei intended for there to be an All Stars in 2021, there’s no way they would announce the seasonal movie before it so speculations of them skipping it this year are probably true.

To squeeze it somewhere between March and October-ish would force them to readjust their budgets as well and I don’t think even Toei wants to go through that extra hassle after all the trouble the pandemic’s caused for everyone already. It’s just easier to resume All Stars in 2022.

That, and I think Laura being a major character in TroPre despite not having a Cure title (yet) would make for an awkward situation when the three latest teams gather so perhaps that’s also one of the reasons. But I’ll get back to Laura in a bit.

3) Cure Summer is a RAINBOW Cure

So god help me if I see anyone calling her a Pink Cure.

Yes, she’s the lead Cure for this season. NO, she is not a Pink Cure.

Look, even the official website has a rainbow overlay for her profile pic and text font while everyone else’s respective theme colors are a solid hue:

Therefore, RAINBOW.

In promotional material and merchandising, they’re probably going to advertise her primarily with pink bah and at worst, she might occasionally be labeled as a White Cure with multiple subcolors (her outfit is not pink-dominant) but definitely NOT. PINK.

...also, this goes without saying but f***yea, we finally got a lead Cure practically and unabashedly wearing the LGBTQ flag and you cannot tell me otherwise, Toei!

Own up to it! Declare Manatsu/Cure Summer as the Precure queer icon!

4) Laura = obvious midseason Cure is obvious

First of all, Laura is a babe. I already love her the best and she’s not even Precure yet. <3

Anyways, the set-up is pretty much in the description. Important main character who’s not a mascot, stated to have a self-confident personality and just speaks her mind (oooh, I like~ :D), magical/foreign being from another world looking for Precure to save her home, possesses her own special item(s), has aspirations to become the next Queen (so she’s a princess-candidate or something to that effect, I suppose).

We’ve seen various combinations of these traits in past midseason (and a few starter) Cures so nobody should be surprised when we all guessed that one of the Cures would be a real live mermaid.

The only question is why not just make Laura a Cure from the get-go if she’s introduced to us at the beginning (like Hime or Lala) and having a team of five with no unnecessary extra add-ons later on (like Smile).

Well, there’s a simple answer for that: formula.

Toei is afraid that if they don’t spit out some new animation sequence at the halfway and third quarter points of the show, the kids will lose interest and abandon the series altogether. Which means failed toy sales. Oh nooo... [/sarcasm]

...Yea. 

And this way they can also have Laura available in the Cure lineup for the next All Stars in 2022 instead of making her sit the fight out if we were going to have one in 2021. I’m convinced that’s gotta be one of the reasons. *shrug*

But ok, whatever. Her debut is gonna be later, that’s all. She’s a delayed Cure.  Midseason Cure, same difference.

Moving along to the more important stuff now like what’s her Cure name gonna be, y/y?

Well, knowing Toei, a translation of the term “mermaid” into another language is the most predictable route even though we already have a Cure Mermaid. Not like that ever stopped them from repeating words before (ex. Cure Happy vs Cure Felice). Though if they do go down that road, I hope they opt for the Spanish/Italian “sirena” and not the French “sirène” because the latter sounds too close to how Cure Selene is pronounced in Japanese. And, putting it nicely, we all know Japanese pronunciation of foreign words is as off kilter as can be.

Hell, even the the Portuguese “sereia” sounds aesthetic as hell so it’d be nice if they can just remember there are other languages that exist out there besides Japanese, English and French when making the final decision at the writing table! *stomps foot* >:/

Alternatively, “nereid” or “naiad” are good choices too but they remind me too much of Greek myths and Laura’s from the Grand Ocean which covers more than just a couple of seas (Greece is surrounded by three, btw) so...

I dunno. But whatever it’s gonna be, she’s definitely got a strong association with water and her powers will probably be based on that.

As for theme color, since there’s noticeably no blue or green Cure in the starter lineup, it’s likely she will take up that spot when she debuts around ep 20.

Pink is also open since Cure Summer, again, is technically not a Pink Cure and Laura’s hair and tail fin are hot and light pink respectively but looking at Laura’s design and concept, does anyone seriously believe that?

Her upper torso consists of aquamarine while the body of her tail is definitely some shade of cyan, implying they’re aiming for somewhere around the middle of green and blue on the lighter spectrum.

And yea, I’m aware that green and blue are considered exchangeable in some perspectives with how close some of their shades are to each other but officially, I think Laura’s gonna be grouped with the Green Cures.

Cuz of the hair. If Laura’s gonna keep it the same or a similar shade after transforming, that is. The Blues have always had cool-colored hair so putting Laura in with them might disrupt that harmony whereas if you put her with the few Greens there are (including Parfait), she’d fit right in.

I mean, we’ll see but that makes the most sense, doesn’t it?

On another note, I just want to say that I love how they added frills to her arms instead of letting her elbows go bare naked. It definitely makes her look more like a genuine mermaid than if she didn’t have them (remember, half fish doesn’t mean half the body :P).

5) Magical Items

Frankly, I’m tired of seeing the transformation device being a compact again even though one of the main motifs is make-up this season. But at least, as far as Precure compacts goes, the Tropical one is my favorite cuz of how cute and delightfully colorful its toy version looks! So I guess I’m okay with it.

The Heart Rouge Rod, though? ...I dunno. I think it would’ve been fine without that...straw (?) jutting out at the top. It looks weird, doesn’t it look weird? :S

As for the collectible clip-ons, I can live without those for the rest of my life. Yeesh.

Laura’s items, the Aqua Pot and the Ocean Prism Mirror.

Again with the portable, travel-size housing. *sigh* 😩

Alright, I can let this year slide cuz Laura (I’m so soft for her, omg) probably won’t be getting legs for 20 weeks so she’s got to move about on land somehow. But unless they’re really thinking about turning this idea of carrying your apartment around in your bag/pocket/purse into a reality (cuz that would be effin’ awesome), please be more creative with your toys.

On the other hand, I’m much more interested in the Ocean Prism Mirror but from what Kusyami (the Precure merchandise reviews I follow on Youtube) said in his latest vid, this is the ED dance item so don’t know if it’ll actually have an relevance to the story or not. But I did hear him mention it having something to do with the Queen as well and since Laura wishes to become Queen, maybe it’ll be important after all? Maybe it’s her transformation device?

That’d be super cool. Let’s continue the trend of the midseason Cure having a different transformation item than the starters. Honestly, we should alternate every other year or two but we’ve gone three seasons with all of them using the same henshin gimmicks up till HealPre and I just want a break from that.

6) Fin sleeves??

These look so impractical for combat so maybe it’s exclusive to group attacks.

And/or a sort of precursor to the super forms?

*GASP* Does that mean they all eventually turn into mermaids? 🤩

7) Yui finally became Precure!! 😭

lol, it’s all crack from this point on so don’t take it too seriously but man, after Yuni’s deceptive braids, I thought I wasn’t gonna see anything that reminded me of Yui for a while and lo behold, Sango.

Though Yui might be closer to Minori in terms of personal interests (fairytales and storybooks).

8) Akira, the actual Onee-chan version

I didn’t think this when I first saw her but once I read “Onee-san” in her profile, there’s no saving you now. Sorry, Asuka. 😅

Also, damn, do her sandals make her feet look big! Compare them to the heels she wears as Flamingo. Are they even the same?! lololol

Can I have an intrulogical drabble themed with Remus'birthday?

Oh a drabble! This is a bit longer than that.

The word count is 1,186.

I know the ‘ending’ is open ended, but I wanna write a second part to this that follows the days events.

Uh trigger warnings I guess dark themes, gore?? Not really but implied. It’s part of a ghost au I’ve been wanting to write.

“Remus, are you here?” Logan inquires to the large abandoned house. Of course he is, Logan knows this; Remus can’t leave.

He’s standing in the main foyer of the dilapidated structure, waiting for Remus to show himself. 

He knows Remus knows he’s there, Remus can sense anyone who walks onto his property, the question was just for Logan himself; he likes to announce that he’s there, it’s just polite.

And sometimes Remus gets a little too caught up in things he’s doing to care about people intruding in his manor.

The door slams harshly behind Logan and a cackle surrounds him, he rolls his eyes but smirks at the ghosts antics.

“Remus, I have something for you, if you’d just become corporeal we can start.”

“Start what?” Remus says excitedly behind Logan, manic grin in place.

Logan smiles at his boyfriend “ah, there you are, I had a feeling.”

Remus floats over to Logan; a salacious smile replaces the manic one, Remus drags his finger over Logan’s cheek making him shiver from the cold touch.

“Mmm, I have a feeling too, wanna look further into that with me?”

Logan leans in and pecks the ghost on the lips, too short for Remus’ liking but what Logan says when he backs away has Remus stock still.

“Happy birthday.”

“What?”

“Happy birthday, it’s your birthday today, and therefore I have something for you.”

“It’s my birthday? How do you know that, I don’t even remember when that was.”

Logan adjusts his tie and clears his throat “well, I did some digging to figure out this information.”

Remus smirks with a quirked eyebrow “legal digging?”

“Irrelevant” Logan waves off, “what is relevant is my gift.”

“Oh yea, and what am I receiving?” he wiggles his eyebrows suggestively. 

“A day out.”

And Logan stumps him once again.

“That’s impossible” he shakes his head, floating higher up and flipping onto his back to lounge in the air.

“It is not in fact impossible for me dear” he adjusts his glasses with a smug expression.

Remus flips over and letting his arms dangle, “oh yea hot shot witch? What’chu got?”

Logan pulls a scroll out of his shoulder bag, it’s old looking and it looks like someone tried to burn it.

“This scroll is an ancient spell that allows the dead to walk the earth for a day once a year, now it does say that it lets all the dead come back, and that would be catastrophic. So I revised it to allow for one ghost to become able to do it.”

Remus blinks multiple times in awe, “of fuckin course you did, and how did you test this bitch out?”

“Already dead animals of course, I just need one thing from you.”

“Oh?”

“Some sort of DNA, in your case I would assume bones.”

“Where’d you get the animals DNA?”

“Once again irrelevant.”

Remus smiles widely; god dang he’s so love struck with this man.

“You want my bone? Follow me~” he once again turns on to his back and floats off into the direction of the cellar, beckoning Logan forwards with wiggling fingers.

The cellar is dark but as they go down candles start to flare to life in big bursts of green before they settle into the warm orange glow a candle is supposed to emit.

He’s never been down in the cellar before, the door has always been locked, it doesn’t even have a handle; he’s curious to know what’s down here.

As he steps off the last stair the room flares with light and he can see the room at large.

It... it’s a dungeon of some sort.

“Remus, what exactly am I looking at here?”

“My secrets” his eyes flash, twisted grin on his face.

“Right, as much as I really, really want to get into that, there’s too much to unpack there for right now; bones?” 

“Right over there” he points to a large throne like chair, it’s upholstered in green silk, it’s ripped and dirty from the years; but what sits upon the throne is a skeleton; old blood marring the almost white shirt from its collar down.

Remus floats over to his skeleton and rips his skull off, he then hands it to Logan.

“You needn't do that, I could have done the ritual right in front of the throne.”

Remus waves him off “eh then just keep it.”

Logan looks down at the skull in thought “very well.”

He takes a cloth out of his bag and wraps the skull up to place it in his bag.

“I know that look, you already have ideas for that don’tcha?”

Logan smirks “I do indeed, now let’s get this party started shall we?”

He steps over equipment and other bones to get to the skeleton, he takes a deep breath with closed eyes and starts to chant.

Remus doesn’t understand what Logan is saying, or the gestures he’s doing with his hands, but it’s mesmerising; he can’t take his eyes off of the ritual.

He’s so focused on Logan that he takes an unneeded breath, and when he feels the air in his lungs it startles him, he’s still floating and he can still feel his ghostly powers course through him, but he also feels… more alive.

Logan stops chanting, he sways with fluttering eyes and Remus doesn’t think twice before lurching forwards to catch Logan before he stumbles to the side.

“That take a lot outta you?”

Logan looks up at Remus from the ghosts arms, a soft look on his face as he caresses Remus’ cheek.

“Without my familiar here yes, but it’s worth it” he says kissing the other being.

“So, I can… leave the manor for the rest of the day?”

“For exactly twenty four hours, once the spell wears off you’ll be sent right back here; what would you like to do first?”

“First? This” Remus says going back down to kiss Logan but with more force to it.

Logan chuckles as he pulls away, but he grabs Remus’ hand.

“Come, let’s go.”

Remus vibrates with excitement, he hasn’t been out of the manor boundaries for so so long, he’s raring to see how much the town has changed with his own eye.

They’re walking outside and to the gate but Logan stops them once there “one rule: no magic around mortals, so get your feet on the ground mister.”

He groans, but that’s fair, people don’t usually float.

“It’s gonna be weird walking everywhere” he scowls but plants his feet down.

There’s a lot of questions Logan wants to ask, too many really; but today is about having fun in a whole new world for Remus so he’ll keep his questions to himself.

For now.

Logan opens the gate and steps through, Remus seems oddly hesitant but he too walks through with Logan.

He’s on the other side of the gate.

He’s on the other side of the gate!

He whoops and hollers, excitement sparks out of him; literally.

He jumps up and tightly hugs Logan.

“Happy birthday” Logan says kissing Remus’ cheek.

And off they go, to have some birthday fun.

Okay I am going to a little review for this version. Overall I think I would give this chapter a B+ or a B.

My favorite path without a doubt was Erin+Kanon’s route. I loved exploring Angie’s mansion and I adored the atmosphere of the place itself. The map and tilesets were just really well done. I used Erin’s team without the Interceptor…well intervening with our pkmn and I felt like the difficulty was just right. I stuggled but all I needed to do was change my strategy. The atmosphere with the maids and the ost complemented the environment so well. Erin was great and she’s probably a contender for one of my favorites in the game…ignoring Aelita of course. The path also added a lot onto the Vitus situation and what interactions might happen in the endgame since we still don’t know his whereabouts.

Next would have to be either Aelita or the Player’s path. Personally, the path’s were kinda along the same in terms of ranking but I feel like their was more that happened in the player’s path that personally felt more relevant. It was nice seeing the player’s past self and their history with Crescent back in Miera…which begs the question, how old is Crescent??? Geniunely what is the timeline between the events at Miera with the player and the player heading to Gearen…Also thank you developers for not making Crescent have a past romantic relationship with the player…I have seen this happen too many times in other games and shows. Let them just be besties. Looking back at it, this part was kinda dialogue heavy but that problem is alleviated from the puzzles and good interactions in both routes.

The only problem I felt is that…imo Rune left as soon as she came. Ig since we found out she’s the puppet master she was always there but…i felt like we should’ve seen her as Rune just a bit longer…Also the twist regarding her and Huey’s background also kinda felt like it should’ve been alluded to earlier(unless they did hint to it earlier and i just forgot) because it didn’t feel like much. Still a good route tho, a solid B.

My least favorite was Melia+Venam+Ren’s route. I kinda felt like this route was shorter than the other one’s looking back at it. Gameplay wise there wasn’t much happening there save for the battle with Cassandra. The underground area also wasn’t really special overall. There was some interesting tidbits regarding the Archetype and the Garufans but it hasn’t really payed off yet in the story. The trio’s interactions were just okay, I liked their interactions in Goldenwood but their dialogue in the underground place was meh. Though I loved Nim and I am happy to know she has changed sides, I can’t wait to see more of her.

The developers knocked it out of the park with this version! I only talked about the additions to the main story but I went back to earlier places that got upgraded and woa Sheridan and Goldenrood look phenomenal! Route 3 and Phasial cave got changed and they look superb. I’ll miss Route 4 but the reservoir looks amazing so far and I am impressed with how they are handling the rift dens! Also making gigantamax mons function like mega evolutions is genius. Also the aevium forms are really nice and my favorite is the alolan mareep that I can’t get :)))))))))))

Also I started over to see changes made with the beginning cutscene and man the ship looks better and the additions with the full artwork of characters is great. I want to play this game again in the future(probably during winter break since I am going to be busy for awhile) on normal mode with a monotype team but I haven’t decided which one yet :o

That’s it with main story additions, I am going to have to go back and catch any new pokemon added in the game.

Bloggin’ thru new Homestuck^2 bonus, The Influencers part 2.  Kinda got my gears ground during part 1, but that largely wasn’t this sideplot’s fault, so I should still be able to enjoy it.

Reminder, bonus update blogging is always light on detail because I don’t wanna spoil all the paid content, but I’ll give the gist of my reactions and go into anything plot or character related that helps understand the main story, as well as giving you a real top-down view of “what happens” so you know what it’s about and whether or not to invest in looking yourself.  (And I don’t necessarily have to give you anything that isn’t main-plot-relevant.)

So where are they going to follow the main party?  They shouldn’t need to record the funeral I’d assume, because that already would have been televised (and awful for Jane’s PR)...  *click*

Whatever it is, Imode feels it. A tiny string of relevance spooling out from their belly. They want to follow it.

That’s pretty Lighty and/or Seery.  I’ve used that terminology to describe the pull of Light and its “relevance” connotations even since the only fanfic I’ve ever written, back in 2011 during Homestuck’s run, and it’s obvious enough terminology that I think Rose later mentioned it somewhere like in the Epilogues.  Are these three kids perhaps going to get a fourth, and become their own session by the end of this like Harry, Vrissy, Tavros and Yiffy might?

They can’t stop picturing their friend, Harry Anderson, arrested or tortured or worse. They’re not sure what there is to be done to stop this chain of events, but they’re sure as shit gonna find out.

(”They” is almost certainly referring to Imode here, not all three, since Imode uses they/them.)

Alright, self-aggrandizing used for good.  Show off the sort of thing that Vriska could have accomplished if she actually used her talents for her team for once.  (Besides, like, the similar thing she did just recently by making a scene.)

Oh, they just saw John flying up to the clock tower in his outfit.  And catching sight of him fly is rare celebrity gossip stuff so of course it’d stand out to them, apparently.  (Only one of them is athletic apparently, the other two are groaning at the prospect of more running.)

Avril always enjoys running, but there’s something else thumping along to the rhythm of the thuds of his feet and beat of his heart. He’d thought Imode was nuts for feeling it just a minute prior, but now he’s realized he isn’t deadweight, that he hasn’t fucked up someone’s life irrevocably, and it pushes him faster and faster as he tears ass toward the belltower.

(Did we know Avril was he/him before this?  Probably but if so I forgot.)

Okay, since we’re getting glimpses into each of their headspaces narratively that BOTH have had some oblique aspect references, I have to at least OPERATE on a guessy assumption that there’s a sort of classpect-for-each-of-them thing going here.

I’ve quoted both those whole paragraphs here... so what do I see?  This is going to be a bit tougher because I don’t care as much to remember these characters...

Imode had some Lighty-or-Seery language, and then could not stop picturing bad things happening to Harry, wanting to avert that chain of events.  So something of a Seer or Mage would make sense.  But given how easily Lighty stuff and the Understanding classes (or at least what we think those are) can be conflated, Mage of Light seems a bit of a premature jump.  Heck, I’m only saying Mage because a Seer of Light already occupies a starring role, and because her first act on that feeling was to jump after it herself and tell the others:

--leading by example rather than directing the others into battle.  Only half-caring if they followed, willing to pursue it herself if necessary.  So, potentially more “Active”.

As for Avril... the word “heart” is mentioned there, sure, but the full context is “there’s something else thumping along to the rhythm of the thuds of his feet and beat of his heart”.  I’m inclined to think that the rhythm/beat references, especially the even footsteps and heartbeats hitting like a metronome, might be more tied to Time?  But if so, I don’t see anything class-related.  (Could also be Blood, and him thinking of what he owes in the last sentences could be reinforcing that?  Big question marks for now.)

Hhhmmmmm.  So what does this tell us about his potential role?  Getting places you’re not supposed to is associated with the Thief, Rogue, Bard, and sometimes Knight classes... as well as the Time/Space aspects, or the Void and Breath aspects.  A Thief or Rogue of Time could do the trick, and fit with the rhythm paragraph earlier... whereas Space doesn’t have the same rhythm associations even if it is “places” he’s getting into for these shots.  And photography, snapshots still in time, is something Dave was also explicitly into.  Plus, this exploit he’s showcasing is specifically for older buildings, playing into history/archaeology from an urban perspective.

So, Time is looking like a safer and safer bet for him.

I mean there’s a lot of talk of time-FRAMES, from a lazy perspective, but just-pushing-forward-in-the-here-and-now is reasonably Spacey? ...hm.  I was excited for the Silas paragraph(s) but I don’t see any immediately-apparent pattern meant for us to discern classpect info here.  Maybe a female Page example (since we could use one), propelled along by events without knowing what’s going on at first, too early in her journey to have taken more than her first step up the gradual incline of her long-term potential?
