Soul Eater NOT - part 6 (MAJOR SPOILERS)

The author forgets his own timeline. There's many things that are just slightly out of place since this is supposed to be an immediate prequel to Soul Eater.

A big one is Maka and Soul being presented as this extremely competent pair of partners. They also look much older, but we know canonically they would be 13 here meanwhile the NOT characters are 14. But Soul and Maka are described as older, upperclassmen. It doesn't line up right. Additionally, the entire beginning of Soul Eater is the two of them fumbling around and still figuring themselves out as partners. Meanwhile in NOT they are shown to be extremely skilled, confident, and working together fabulously... Perhaps we're to believe we're seeing them through the eyes of the main character, Tsugumi, and she sees them as extremely skilled? But it really, really is not written that way. Soul and Maka even give a resonance demonstration to the NOT class. So this is a case of the author forgetting himself, in my opinion.....

Another note on the timeline being forgotten. At the fun Death Festival where EAT students compete in a fighting tournament, there's Maka and Soul fighting against...Black Star and Tsubaki (the latter is only seen at a distance in weapon form in NOT... Poor Tsu, never gets any face time.) But once again... In Soul Eater, when we meet them, Black Star and Tsu are new partners without a single soul under their belts yet. And NOT says that Black Star won the tournament the year before! He could have won alone without a weapon, I could easily believe, but again... This just feels like the author forgetting his timeline.

Two other things about his timeline: the author shows Justin and Tezca at the academy as if they are there and actively involved in secret investigations. Now Tezca one can make the argument he may have been there, even though it's unlikely. Meanwhile Justin states himself in SE canon, to himself, that he's not been back to the academy for years. So this incongruency is bothersome. Author wanted cameos to get fan attention, is how this all reads.

And one last bit here... Something that's cool is we see and learn that Medusa is already there and posing as the school nurse. Awesome, and makes perfect sense, fits in the timeline. What does not make sense...is her sitting back and just watching as her little sister takes over Death City... Medusa? Just lying low as this happens? No no no no no.... This is all wrong. Medusa would not have sat quietly during that battle, but more...she wouldn't have let her sister get that far. She'd have sooner killed her.

But I'll get to our antagonist in just a bit...

So... giving this manga a really fast look... I want to read it thoughtfully again someday These little things stood out to me...

Hanako and keys....... please stop.. I can't take it. This little pose of his mocks me a bit. you want to know about my key so baaad?~ realllllly?~ just haaaang there.~ there seems to be a lock in there too? if that won't make me go even more crazy her brooch is also there. for some reason.

Everything as in... 'everything'? then how come you didn't know his future will change? or that it's different from what's in his book, even? his inference with supernatural stuff (the clock) while you call him 'normal' While this 'everything' is not so reliable for me at this point, I'm still interested to see you back at some point to tell us more about this 'everything'.

I wonder how come Kou didn't tell Teru Hanako-san put a seal on his staff or how Teru supposedly didn't notice the seal on it with it right there in front of his own eyes many times until now. Did he see it's best if it stays sealed like that for Kou's sake, despite it being like a 'family treasure' to the Minamotos?

Talking about Teru looking after Kou...

He keeps a close eye on Kou, to the point when Kou skipped class, he was there to see about it...

but when Kou stayed after school to hang out with an 'evil spirit' as Teru calls it, got beaten by Tsukasa... he was nowhere to be found.... how come? it would be funny if he didn't ask about Kou's injury after he got home or if Kou was like: yeah.. I fell down. haha.

Hmm... Tsukasa is selfish? How come? Please... I'm crying in here and want him to think about HIMSELF more. Not too 'wise' of you miss, you should know better. Not to say... she is talking as if she doesn't put herself that category. The deepest part of that category. How funny.

I wonder juuuust a little why she would show some nice gestures from time to time with others...

like the mokke or even Mitsuba 2.0, while she goes around stating she doesn't care if all case to exist at the end.

Nene is not an exception. She even talked about her in person. In front of her- let's be friends/I don't want to harm you. Behind her back- I don't care for her, even if she doesn't want to keep going in destroying the Yorishiros, I won't give her a choice, then I don't care if she died out of it. .....................

Another thing... she seems to take Nene's hands in hers quite often... which kind of makes me wonder...

Nene didn't ever question her hands heat, or said they are cold or whatever. She appears in photos normally, even ... hmm... something about her is different from usual 'ghosts'. she is not a living, yet not a ghost... fine. who cares.

At times I really wonder... If Tsukasa had some other goals out of letting our guys in this perfect pic world, beside that obvious 'grant M 2.0 wish' one destroy No.4's yorishiro... maybe he wanted them to get what kind of reality they actually live in, see how they would react.. will they still want it? reject it? try to change it? Hanako-kun is a special case, isn't he? I think maybeee... to Tsu... this was also a push for Hanako-kun into the right direction! get him to open his eyes to some of his hidden desired and actually.. at some point.. voice some of them out!

In addition to everything, maybe he said that influenced by their p.p arc experience. Tsu even got Nene-chan to lean some cool lessons in the little experience/the wish of No.4 thingy. How cool of him.

I don't know how to put this thing... but all I will just say is that Tsukasa maybe was after hitting too many birds with one stone out of the p.p thing. He must be proud of his work at this point. Lots was achieved in that arc, especially on the HanaNene side and MK, which also seem to Tsu's interest kind of. This boy... a true mastermind, have to say. looking at 12 y.o Tsu... am I surprised? not at all.

That being said, let's welcome our cute little mastermind kitty-boy!~ no matter how much time passes, I'm so in love with this whole scene.

So, yeah... I really do sympathize with Amane-kun in here. I mean... his little brother is soooo irresistible~ let's admire him together, Amane-kun!!!

you were always the one who helped rui with setting up the stage and booking gigs, and although you weren't part of the group, he genuinely appreciated each and every one of your efforts.

you were always welcome to join and keep him company while he worked on his creations, often having to be the one reminding him to get a proper night's sleep and making sure he follows a proper eating routine.

the two of you seemed to be permanently glued to one another, to the point where it genuinely hurt the other WxS members' brains to try to understand how you weren't dating yet.

your friendship was just too good to lose - so as time went by, the thought of confessing your feelings to him scared you, putting your relationship at risk being the last thing you want.

it was that day though, before one of the shows you helped set up, when he asked you with no warning "you worked so hard on the choreography and medley. would you like to perform with us, just this time?"

at first, you didn't know what to say, but you instinctively replied with "yes, i'd love to!"

and to say it was the time of your life would be the understatement of the century.

it was so thrilling, being on stage with them, singing and dancing for hundreds of people - stage fright seemed to go away so quickly. it had been the most fun you've had in a long time, and knowing you helped realize all this made it all the better.

just like after every show, you and rui met backstage to exchange thoughts and opinions, but instead, the moment you two were left alone, you literally jumped and clinged to him, blurting out an 'i love you' while laughing.

and then it hit you -

the most surprising part was that as much as you tried to pull away and apologize repeatedly, he just held you back and chuckled.

sardonic and relatively tired most of the time, you were tsukasa's 'unfortunate' classmate whose school-related activities always somehow ended up having something to do with him. a duet for music class? it's always you and tsukasa. project on the history of arts? of course, you get paired up with tsukasa.

it wasn't even as tiring at this point.

to everyone, he had always been just that one weird theatre kid who randomly burst into anime monologues and struck dramatic poses out of nowhere. and regardless of how many times you ended up having to spend time with him, you never complained or looked at him weird.

that made him instantly attached to you.

you would always be the person he tries so hard to receive compliments and undivided attention from, and it's almost sad how desperate he is for your validation and approval.

you, on the other side, were almost upset with yourself - there was just something about his random outbursts and heroic fantasies, about his naive smile that made you melt every time.

you'd often find yourself sitting down next to him at lunch, talking about anything and everything, or texting him at random times of the day just to ask how he's feeling, and so on.

you had been aware that your feelings began to turn into something more than platonic before he had even been able to process the joy you bring him by just being there without feeling forced to.

the first time you would have said 'i love you' would have actually been intentional, but all your attempts at confessing so far have been thwarted by certain people...

you tried telling him via a voice message, but saki ended up answering instead and you had to quickly delete the replies and beg her to not say anything about it.

you also tried telling him through a song you worked almost the entire month on, but it got discovered by emu and nene, and things got too weird for you to be able to use that tactic from there.

after several more failed attempts, discouraged, you decided to give up entirely and just accept the fact that the two of you probably just aren't meant to be.

until one night - you had accepted to help tsukasa rehearse for a romance theatre piece he was working on, hoping you'd be able to get past the initial embarrassment. though he had to keep asking you to get a hold of yourself every time you began blushing uncontrollably whenever certain words were used. he even tried joking at some point by saying "hey, come on, get a hold of yourself! it's not like you're actually in love with me or something, so it shouldn't be a big deal. i wouldn't blame you if you did though, ha ha!"

and, unfortunately enough, that was the last straw for you, since you found yourself burying your face in your hands and muttering "i do love you though, you know..." without even thinking twice.

let's just say you weren't the only one who nearly went into cardiac arrest that day.

What if you played Truth or Dare? (Ft. Grim, Ace, Deuce, Sebek, Jack and Epel) (Riddle, Vil, Lilia and Ruggie are mentioned)

“Fgnaaaaa (Y/N), I’m bored.” Grim said while laying on your lap. You and him were doing your homework in your dorm.

“I know, but, when we finish, we can go out and meet up with the others. I’ll even throw in a can of tuna or two. How does that sound?” You said, trying to coax the furball into doing his homework.

“When you put it that way!! Fgnaaaa!” And the furball was more excited to do his work. You gave him a head pat and continued on your own work.

After about an hour or two, you two had finished your homework. You sighed and closed your book, you turned to see Grim dozing off to dreamland. You shook your head, giggling and gently nudged him awake.

“Come on you furball, it’s almost time to get dinner, we don’t want the others to worry about us right?” You said, picking Grim up and placing him on your head. Grim yawned a little before going to sleep on your head.

You had a nice little walk to the crowded cafeteria, when you arrived, you saw your friends sitting at a table not far from you. They were chatting with smiles on their faces while you went and grabbed yours and Grim’s food. After doing so, you went over to the table where your friends were sitting and sat yourself down.

“(Y/N)!!” The others called for you and you just shushed them. They were puzzled until you pointed to the sleeping furball on top of your head. They looked at each other before nodding and snickering. You smiled and slowly set the sleeping furball down on your lap and took a bite out of your dinner.

“So, how is everyone doing?” You asked your friends and multiple groans were heard.

“Riddle made me feed the flamingos wearing pink again today!!” Ace said with a sigh.

“I had to change the color of roses in the garden to white for the whole day.” Deuce said, taking a sip out of his drink.

“Ruggie-senpai dragged me around the whole school looking for Leona-senpai… Turns out he was sleeping in a tree at Main Street. I wasted a whole afternoon doing that.” Jack said.

“Hah! You guys don’t even know what is true hardship. Vil and Rook taught me on ‘fine dinning’ and ‘proper table manners’ the whole day! I don’t get it! IT’S FOOD SO YOU SHOULD JUST EAT IT.” Epel said, the last part in anger. You patted him gently as a gesture to calm him down.

“Malleus-sama was nowhere to be found when school ended, so me and that stupid Silver spent the entire day searching for him. We could’ve been done earlier if that human wasn’t so slow. I can’t believe he can let Malleus-sama out of his sight!” Sebek said.

“Ehh? Didn’t you also let Malleus-senpai out of your sight?” Epel asked the Diasomnia first year. The latter froze a little.

“N-No. Malleus-sama’s class wasn’t near mine at all today. It’s clearly that human’s fault.” Sebek said.

“Sebek, I’m sure Silver-senpai didn’t mean it. It’s just that Tsu- I mean, Malleus-sama likes taking walks around the school without anyone knowing, right?” You said, in hopes of calming down your friend.

“Hmm… Maybe you’re right, but still-” Sebek tried to argue but you cut him off.

“Sebek, it’s alright, mistakes happen all the time, let it go.” You said and sent a smile to him.

“A-Alright.” Sebek said, going back to his meal.

“You know what? Since you all had such a terrible day, let’s do something after dinner to clear your minds of it!” You suggested to your friends, their eyes lit up after you’ve said so.

“Yea!! But, what should we do?” Ace asked.

“How about a game?” Deuce said.

“What game?” Jack immediately asked. The 6 of you were brainstorming until Epel decided to speak up.

“How about Truth or Dare?” The Pomefiore first year piped up. You all took looks at each other before nodding.

“Sounds fun!” Ace said with a smirk.

“I’m in.” Deuce said, taking a bite out of his dinner.

“W-Well, it is just a game… I guess I’ll join since I have nothing better to do.” Jack said, his ears drooping slightly.

Alas, the only one who didn’t give a response was Sebek. So, you, Ace and Epel looked at him with the most adorable puppy eyes the 3 of you could muster. Jack was slightly confused but he has a gist of what you all were trying to do. Sebek looked at the 3 of you, his face slightly paling.

“W-Wha-“ Poor Sebek couldn’t even finish asking before you cut him off.

“Join our game Sebek!” You pleaded.

“It’ll be fun! We promise!” Ace continued after you. After the two of you had said this, you, Ace and Epel bombarded Sebek with the word ‘please’ over and over again.

“F-FINE! STOP YOUR PLEADING!” Sebek said, finally caving in to you, Ace and Epel’s chants of ‘please’. The three of you high fived each other and did a little cheer. Your cheering just so happened to wake Grim up from his nap.

“Fgnaaaaa…. What’s wrong with you people? Can’t you let a monster like me take a good nap for once?” Grim said as he sat up and rubbed his eyes. You giggled and petted Grim.

“Sorry Grim, but we were just excited! We’re playing truth or dare later.” You said, running your fingers through the creature as if you were to groom him.

“Truth or Dare? What’s that?” Grim asked you. You let out a small gasp.

“Grim… You… You don’t know what’s Truth or Dare?” You asked back the creature. He looked at you tiredly and shook his head.

“It’s like, the most common game ever to play with friends! You must’ve heard of it before!” Ace said to the furball.

“No, I have never heard of such game.” Grim replied the orange-haired student with a yawn.

“Well, you can see us play around before joining in later.” You said, handing him a can of tuna. “I remember owing you this.” The furball’s eyes lit up with sparkles.

“Fgnaaaaaaa!! Yes!!!!” Grim did a little happy dance and started to work his way into the can.

“So, where are we going to play later?” Sebek asked you all.

“Not Heartslabyul.” Ace said. “I cannot imagine enjoying the game with Riddle there.”

“Not Savanaclaw either. We can’t have a peaceful moment to ourselves there.” Jack said, shaking his head.

“Definitely not Pomefiore, unless you want our game session to turn into a makeover session.” Epel added on.

“Diasomnia isn’t the best option either. I’m pretty sure Lilia-senpai would interrupt us constantly.” Said Sebek.

“Well, I guess that just leaves my dorm right?” You said, laughing a little. “Then it’s settled then! We’ll have a small game session at Ramshackle Dorm. Now, hurry up and finish your dinner guys.” You ordered the boys as you finished your own dinner.

When they did, you all walked back to your dorm together, along the way, you guys had a nice little chat about what Professor Trein’s homework and how Lucius has a big influence on the class. The cat couldn’t help but meow at the end of each of the professor’s sentence. Ace even made fun of Deuce who meowed along once because he was half asleep then. When Deuce tried to defend himself by saying it was actually Lucius who made the sound and not him, Ace fired back at him saying that he was literally looking at him while he made the sound. Poor Deuce immediately turned red as the rest of you laughed. It’s okay, you comforted him after laughing for almost a minute.

Soon after, you arrived at your humble Ramshackle Dorm. You let everyone into the lounge and you guys started to discuss about the game that you were going to play. You guys decided to draw sticks to see who will go first. In the end, you had drawn the longest stick therefore you would start the game first.

“Alright then, let’s begin! Epel, truth or dare?” You asked your first victim and so the madness had begun.

After a few rounds of Truth or Dare, you had ended up with Epel being punished to wear a pink dress and his hair was in an up-do. Ace and Deuce had been punished to switch places, their personalities, the marks on their eyes and even their clothes had been switched. Jack was dared to have makeup on his face, from mascara to lipstick, you name it, beauty products littered everywhere on his face, his tail was in a big braid as a dare. Sebek’s whole body was covered in glitter, everytime he moved, glitter would flutter off from his body, he was also punished to speak in hushed tones.

Yeah, let that sink in.

And for you, you just had to be in an uncomfortable pose. You were feeling pretty sore too, who would’ve thought you would have to do the game standing up with only one leg supporting you while one of your hands were stuck to your waist and the other on top of your head. This was a dare made by Sebek out of all people, and you can only leave the pose when someone else calls out your name. So, yeah, you were ABSOLUTELY SORE.

“I think I know how to play this game now!!” Grim suddenly yelled out.

“Final- I mean, good for you Grim! I have to be nice to everyone if I want to be an honor student!” Ace said to Grim, mocking Deuce who was clearly irked by this.

“Fgnaaaaaa! Why wouldn’t I know how to play? I am The Great Grim after all!!” Grim laughed out.

“Well, I guess you should get a turn, go on then, pick a student and ask them Truth or Dare.” Epel said.

“Hmmm… (Y/N) then!” Grim looked at you and you finally collapsed onto the ground.

“Thank you Gri-“ You were cut off by the furball.

“Truth, or Dare?” You looked at him with widen eyes.

“Hmm… I’m never doing dare again… So, truth!” You said, not moving from your position at all because you were too tired.

“Alright, Truth eh?” Grim said, putting a paw underneath his chin to make it look like he’s thinking of something. After a few seconds of ‘thinking’ the furball had come up with the question.

“I got it!!” Grim yelled. “Who do you have a crush on in this school?” Everybody froze.

Grim, no, you just… You just started a war.

“Hey! How about I switch okay? I choose Dare instead!!” You frantically yelled out.

But Grim already made up his mind.

“Alright then, I dare you to tell us your crush.” Grim said to you and your eye twitched. You got to hand it to the furball, that was one smart move.

“Argh! NO! I won’t say anything!” You said, crossing your arms and turning away from your friends.

“Hey! You didn’t let me do anything else than wear this stupid dress!” Epel argued with you.

“Guys, guys, no. If (Y/N) is acting so defensive, it must mean she has a crush.” Ace said. The boys looked at you while you slowly shrunk yourself.

“(Y/N), it is a dare.” Jack barely said for his face was too heavy with the amount of makeup on.

“Yeah (Y/N) come on, tell us! I as the troublemaker need to know because I’m dumb!” Deuce said, mocking Ace.

Truth be told, the boys treated each other like enemies when Grim asked the question as they each wanted to be your ‘crush’, they knew that everyone had spent their fair share of time with you and you must have a favorite, right?

So, with what Deuce had said, it seemed like a direct attack to Ace. And let me tell you, Ace was not happy at all.

“HEY! I HAVE BETTER GRADES THAN YOU!” Ace fired back to his dorm mate.

“SO?! IT’S NOT LIKE YOU’RE SMART IN YOUR EVERYDAY CHOICES!”  Deuce yelled back.

“GUYS STOP.” Sebek said, getting in between them.

“Fine! Just because I don’t want to be covered in glitter as well.” Ace said.

“Hmph! Me neither!” Deuce said.

“Wait… Where’s (Y/N)?” Epel asked out. Everyone turned to where you sat only to find air there.

You see, while everyone was busy watching/stopping the fight between Ace and Deuce, you had sneakily taken off and ran straight for your dorm’s front door.

“(Y/N)!!! YOU CAN’T ESCAPE!!” Epel yelled as he and the others started to run after you.

“NO! FREEDOM IS NEAR!” You yelled and opened the door and ran out of it. As you just left your dorm’s front yard, you saw the boys were already on their way chasing after you. Grim was also with them but he had a spot on Deuce’s shoulder.

So, you ran, with a bunch of ridiculously looking boys on your tail.

“Guys, we should circle her instead, so, split up!” Sebek told his friends. The others nodded and branched off. You turned your head to see only Sebek running at you at full speed. You gulped slightly before picking up your pace.

“(Y/N)! This could’ve been easier if you’ve just did the dare!” Sebek yelled at you.

“Over my dead body!!” You shouted back and took a sharp left at the end of a hallway, leading you to Main Street.

But when you arrived, you saw something pink slowly walking towards you. You widen your eyes as you realized that it was Epel in front of you. You turned your head to the left to find Jack slowly approaching you from that side. Your right was being approached by the two Heartslabyul boys so escaping from there isn’t an option. You also felt a presence behind you and you already knew who it was.

And with that, you were trapped. Escape was impossible then.

Or so you thought.

“Now, (Y/N), be a good little student who accepted a dare and tell us…” Ace said smugly.

“Yeah, no backing out (Y/N).” Deuce continued. You were overwhelmed.

“F-Fine! I’ll talk, I’ll talk!” You said, covering your blushing. The boys all thought you looked adorable in that state. Could you blame them? You were looking all flustered and red and adorable while hiding her blushing face. Nothing could stop them from blushing slightly as well.

“Okay…” You said, taking a deep breath. The boys leaned in to you, wanting to hear more of your slightly trembling voice.

Yes, two dorm leaders and two vice dorm leaders were slowly walking to your group.

“Dorm Leader Rosehearts!” Ace and Deuce yelled to a red-looking Riddle.

“You two! It’s already curfew! If you don’t get back to your dorm in the next five minutes… IT’S OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!” Ace and Deuce’s eyes widen and ran at full speed to their dorm.

“Bye (Y/N)!! We’ll see you tomorrow!!” Ace and Deuce said as they ran back to Heartslabyul with Riddle following behind them, but of course Riddle walked slowly instead.

“EPEL!!!” Vil had yelled for his first-year. Epel let out a small groan before turning to look at Vil.

“What?” Your friend responded to his dorm leader.

“What in tarnation are you wearing?!” Vil questioned.

“Are you blind? It’s a dress.” Epel said with a straight face.

“Don’t make me slap you again. Come, we must go back to Pomefiore and get you out of this horrible outfit.” Vil said and dragged Epel away.

“I’ll see you tomorrow (Y/N).” Epel managed to say while being dragged back to his dorm by Vil.

“Jack! Didn’t you hear what I said?!” Ruggie was approaching Jack. “I told you that- HAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT’S GOING ON WITH YOUR FACE?!?!” Ruggie couldn’t help himself as he turned Jack around only to be greeted with a makeup filled face.

“Yeah, yeah, you need my help right? Let’s just go now.” Jack said, dragging a laughing hyena upperclassman with him. “Bye (Y/N).” Said the wolf to you.

“My… Sebek… What a sight to see you like this.” Sebek froze for a good few seconds before turning around.

“Lilia-sama…” Sebek muttered in a low tone.

“I wonder how Malleus would react to this.” Lilia said and Sebek’s eyes widen.

“N-NO, MALLEUS-SAMA MUSN’T KNOW!” Sebek yelled.

“Then, I suggest you better hurry back to your dorm before he catches you.” Said Lilia with a small smirk on his face.

“We will meet again tomorrow (Y/N)!” Sebek said before rushing back to his dorm.

After everyone were gone, you let out a breath you didn’t even knew you were holding.

My Hero Academia Class 1-A and Their Pokemon Starters

(For funsies) sorry it’s kinda confusing bc I’m talking as if they were real trainers but still have their quirks.

Fair Warning: a lot of rambling. Kinda messy tbh. I just like the idea and thought it was fun. Includes all students of 1-A so it’s a bit long

Katsuki- Cyndaquil

Loud explosion boi with smol shy explosion boi

Bakugou can’t help but pick a pokemon similar to him.

It helps him to relate to them and especially likes seeing a power similar to his.

Unlike how he talks to everyone else, Bakugou would never scream at his Pokémon

HIS Pokémon tho. Will not hesitate to scream at a weedle in his way

Cyndaquil helps him become more patient with others.

Will have to hold him back sometimes

Bakugou will squirm and try to get free. Only time he’ll insult them. “YOU STUPID OVERGROWN RAT!! LET ME GO I GOTTA KICK THIS EXTRA’S ASS!!!”

Apologizes after he cools off

Bonus: With the games, I either picture him meticulously planning out moves and stats of his pokemon OR just brute forces the entire thing

Kirishima- Chespin

Chespin is an adorable rock rolling Pokémon who then becomes a strong beast with spikes.

I don’t think there’s a Pokémon more suited for Kiri.

Cute is manly, okay?

The only downside is that they aren’t red but Kiri loves them anyway.

They are an official hype man team

If they’re both in dumbass mode, they may have a contest to see who can hit their head against the most rocks

Koda- Turtwig

You would think Koda would choose Scorbunny because of his pet rabbit, but it’s very high energy and that kinda scares him tbh.

So the perfect Pokémon for Koda is Turtwig! A chill, laidback Pokémon who’s also very sweet and a little timid.

But Koda loves them all tbh.

Also Turtwig would comfort Koda when he gets nervous and that would encourage him to be strong.

Turtwig and Koda’s bunny are friends. No idk how there are real animals and Pokémon in the same world so shhhhhh

Once Turtwig evolves, Koda may hide behind them when nervous. They’ll move out of the way and make him face his fears

If the situation is actually dangerous tho they’ll protect Koda and everyone else

Ida- Charmander

When you wanna be the very best, you have to go with a classic.

He thinks Charizard has got it all. They can fly, breath fire, and just fucking step on everyone if they wanted to (but not encouraged)

Charizard also has a similar rule follower/enforcer attitude that Ida has

They’ll cross their arms and nod while standing behind Ida as he lectures the others on how they’re not being model students

They will belly laugh tho when the others pull a prank on Ida

Both kinda scared of Aizawa

Ida is always very conscious about the flame on their tail

Aoyama- Popplio

He has to be the trainer of the most showstopping Pokémon.

Have you seen Primarina??!! They can battle and sing!

Part of training is practice poses together

They also have a skin care routine

Primarina helps when Aoyama gets tummy aches

They encourage Aoyama to shine brighter (literally)

Tsu -Froakie

Okay it’s because they’re both frogs

BUT also froakie is a water type and Tsu works best in water... which I guess has to do with frogs

Also both seem loyal and badass and caring as hell. The older siblings of the group

They go on daily swims together

High fives all the time

Best friends with Uraraka’s Pokémon

Greninja will slap Mineta on Tsu’s behalf when he’s acting up

Todoroki- Mudkip

This is basically off of vibes but there’s two ways this can go

So Todoroki never thought about getting a Pokémon bc he was too focused on his quirk training

He wasn’t introduced to the idea until everyone was in the common area talking about their favorites

They had a picture up of all the starters and he just walked up, pointed at Mudkip and went “I like this one”

He doesn’t really know what it’s supposed to be but it’s cute and cool looking and blue

That OR it was originally his mom’s and when she went to the hospital they decided to look out for one another

Either way, they’re both super powerful and love each other very much

Mudkip will spray water at Endeavor’s flames to make Shoto laugh

They always eat together, often having soba

Shoto will make sure they’re not cold in the winter

Mudkip LOVES Fuyumi. She’ll take such good care of him when they’re all home. It makes Shoto jealous a little bit

While they’re still a baby, Shoto will take one side of his bed and allow them to curl up on the pillow of the other side. Has been doing this since he was a toddler (depending on the backstory chosen)

Ojiro- Chimchar

Cute lil monkeys (even tho Ojiro’s tail reminds me of a lion)

When taking breaks from training they will often hang (literally or metaphorically) in some trees

While they’re still small, Chimchar lays in Ojiro’s lap while taking a nap or might sit on his tail or shoulder instead of walking. Hagakure will be sure to get pictures

Both Kaminari and his Pokémon will play with Ojiro’s tail

I feel like Chimchar would watch Ojiro’s karate skills and try to mimic him.

Adorable, and Ojiro would think so too. Also they evolve to be a fighting type as well as fire. Perfect match!

Random tail high fives once Chimchar gets a tail that’s not on fire

They train with Hagakure and her Pokémon a lot

Sero- Squirtle

I was going to pick Chimchar for him, but they suited Ojiro much more.

Then I pictured Sero hanging out with Squirtle and wearing sunglasses and there was no goin back

Any time they aren’t working hard, they are absolutely chillin out. Both have drinks with lil umbrellas.

Will pull pranks on classmates together (poor Kaminari)

Sometimes you can walk into a room and find them crying laughing on the ground like a bunch of dorks

Calls them cute nicknames like “lil squirt” which may or may not get Sero blasted with water

Coolest Pokémon for the coolest dude.

Both kinda underrated imo

Mina- Scorbunny

Thinks bunnies are adorable.

Plus she would love its high energy which matches hers.

Both are very supportive and encouraging to everyone

And they can both kick your ass

Even tho the two are very fun loving people, Cinderace may have to get Mina to calm down and focus on her work. This makes Mina pout but she knows it’s for the best

Definitely have to always be matching somehow. Mayhaps friendship bracelets

They’re best friends

Tokoyami- Rowlett

Bird bois. You know what they say right? Birds of a feather flock together (I’m sorry this is so stupid)

Would prefer a dark type, but at least it’s Decidueye is part ghost type that’s pretty dope

Tokoyami thinks its final evolution is badass but embarrassed of the middle ones looks

Usually no fuckboys allowed in his party, but he’ll make an exception for the baby owl

Will still roast their haircut 24/7

Decidueye and dark shadow are besties btw

Listen to emo music together while looking at the moon

Uraraka- Piplup

Both have adorable round faces.

Also I associate both with bubbles for some reason. Bubble beam?? Floating??

A stretch but I still see them together

Both cute, secretly badass, and very determined

Uraraka learns over time how to talk to them (like Groot in GOTG). They bicker a lot, in a good way

They have a cheer for when they work together. Also probably a secret handshake

Momo- Fennekin

Fennekin is cute and elegant

Momo would be impressed that its final evolution is basically a sorcerer.

Both end up learning from each other

Delphox helps Momo gain confidence in her abilities

Do tea time a lot

Momo combs their fur

Hagakure- Sobble

STEALTH MASTERS!

In my head I see Hagakure being very sweet towards Sobble, who freaks out over the fact they can’t see her.

But over time they get used to it and find Hagakure to be the only one they trust

As they train and evolve, Hagakure will be so supportive and proud of her Sobble

When first training with Ojiro, Ojiro or Chimchar may sneak up on Sobble and scare the living daylights out of them

They’ll start crying and Hagakure will have to hold them. Ojiro apologizes profusely. Will get back at him once they evolve

Shoji- Treecko

One word: Aloofness

Shoji just finds Treecko to be very cool

They both look up to each other somehow. Thinks the other is the perfect example of a good friend, teammate, hero, etc

Admire their classmates and their Pokémon too

Also both sweet and incredibly strong

Shoji will try the grass in mouth thing and Treecko (or any evolution) will try to wear a mask

Shoji wears a lot of camo and Treecko is camo (bc they’re a gecko)

Pros at taking naps anywhere and everywhere

Having Treecko with him makes Shoji feel like people will be less scared of him (people pls stop being mean to him)

Both sit back and watch during the usual class antics but will step in if they think someone is gonna get hurt

Other times they both walk into a room of chaos and look at each other to see if either of them knows what the fuck is going on

Might turn around and walk away if they’re fed up for the day, very rare tho

Jirou- Torchic

You see it too right?

Idk why but it makes perfect sense to me? Maybe bc I associate Torchic with cool women (May and JaidenAnimations).

They have very similar vibes.

Will give each other a look when the others are being ridiculous or stupid (which is often)

Jirou would try to teach them drums once they become a Blaziken

When Jirou plays new music for them they cheer and clap. They might dance around

From the start Torchic encourages Jirou to come out of her shell

They’ll just run to their classmates and Jirou will freak out “what the hell are you doing??? Get back here.” Whisper yelling

Forced to talk to her friends and have a good time

Later Jirou will be salty but Torchic will ignore her. They have a smug ass grin on their face (if possible) bc they know they did something good for her. Jirou knows it to

Mineta- Totodile

Chaos mode activate

I like to believe totodile would know better, even if he’s Mineta’s Pokémon, and stop his trainer’s pervy tendencies

Can overpower Mineta in an instant, especially when evolved

Will either hold him back or just pick him up and walk away

Can sometimes sense that Mineta is thinking about doing something and stops before he actually does it

Imagine if they also put him in time out lmaooooo

Mineta just lets them have free reign. Totodile will waddle all over the place. They’re usually good but may cause trouble

Ex: they want a certain food on the counter but can’t reach (still a baby) so they attempt to climb up and just knocks everything on the floor. Mineta hears dishes breaking in the distance and thinks to himself “shit.... oh well”

Sato- Litten

This mans. I picture it very vividly in my head

Sato would be baking and see a little stray kitty on his balcony so he opens the door to see if it’s okay

The litten is scared at first and Sato feels bad. But then he offers a little piece of freshly baked bread

Litten reluctantly comes inside and they’ve been best friends ever since

His new official taste tester

Will take a little while for Litten to get used to him. Until then Sato tries to be as gentile as possible

They’ll sometimes act like they’re in a bad mood to get extra treats

Once it becomes an Incineroar, they’re gym buddies for life too. Idk if Incineroar would work out but they may spot Sato and makes sure he doesn’t hurt himself or wear himself out too much

Kaminari- Pikachu

Okay fine

I wanted to leave it at that bc duh but I have other thoughts

They are smart but 80% of the time they share one braincell

Will be lazy and eat snacks together until they end up in food comas

But at the same time have the inability to relax when Sero invites them to

Have caused the power to go out at the dorms multiple times. They’ll both point the finger at the other

Pikachu chuckles a little at Kaminari when he short circuits but will pull him to the side and get him some water

Kaminari dresses them up with like little hoodies. Everything he picks looks exactly like his room

Pikachu will not hesitate to shock Denki and Mineta if they’re being idiots

They both make a lot of noise. It drives Bakugou insane

Like Uraraka, Denki learned how to talk to Pikachu, but for him it was like an instinct? He knew how right away?

Last but not least is Midorya

Spent so long trying going over the strengths and weaknesses of each possible starter that he never left his moms house

I’m sorry but I can’t know his favorite if he doesn’t even know

Has two notebooks: one for quirks and one for Pokémon

He likes observing how they work together

May get lucky if a Pokémon finds and chooses him while he’s out observing heroes at work

Will still take forever on deciding where to go from there based on their type and stats and level and personality and-

I do know his least favorite tho: Never give him an Eevee. His brain will implode from all the possibilities.

Bonus: Inko has a Pokémon who helps around the house like mom in all the games. Maybe like a Roselia

Also no offense to the ones I didn’t include. Bulbasaur is my fav. They just didn’t fit with them imo

Guided Sky (?)

Au where Tsuna accidentally meets Skull and ends up traveling all across the world while doing schooling with Skull. The baby just accidentally got lost in Japan while he was on break for a while after he went to Disneyland.

Lucky baby, the boy thought while burying his face in homework he never understood.

To add more salt to his wounds, Nana actually hired him in order to be a tutor! And oh he was smart. Everytime Tsuna tried to outsmart him, Skull would just point out the plot holes and make Tsuna question everything he did. 

The baby had the mind of an adult and it freaked him out and only him since babies could become this smart at the age of 1! Everyone ignored the fact that Skull could also do things not even adults could do like flip off of a rooftop without breaking his little baby ankles.

The baby was exhausting as hell and gave him heart attacks everytime he did something for his “job” in the first 2 weeks even in school. It would nearly kill the kid every time Skull followed a teacher or peer classmate without any problem. Including his bullies! 

Tsuna went along with Skull’s antics only because Skull’s presence made it less likely for Tsuna to get in trouble or bullied. It started happening the day after he got sick, due to his bullies dumping toilet water on him. Skull was very calm that day and left him to his own devices for once.

But Tsuna’s tutor was 90% a wild kid despite his IQ. And to make things even more bizarre, Tsuna’s grades were gradually climbing up which was a miracle. Skull gave him a box of treats on golden week for passing all of his exams with a 70 or higher. He used to get 20’s and 10’s as a reference….

Skull shuddered at his previous scores before he dragged the young kid and Nana to some nice places in Japan that even Nana never knew about. 

They all got to wind down and have fun in all the attractions, even Nana started acting like a kid. It was a common occurrence to see the son and mother running around in some other city for an hour or two before actually shopping around. As usual, nobody noticed the purple baby or thought the baby was a creepy doll in every city they went to. 

It was the best week ever. Skull got a cat ear umbrella set with pastel raincoats for the 3 of them (Skull used it as a robe). And the food was amazing! Skull even hooked Nana up with some cooking professionals and Tsuna got a 80.5% discount on most of the things he bought related to anime or other types of books. In fact, he ended up discussing anime in an internet cafe with 3 adults who lowkey looked very familiar.

It was actually Skull’s friends who were equally intelligent as him and actually created their own big companies. Sadly, the week of fun had to end but they did end up getting a bunch of stuff which filled up 7 giant suitcases of stuff. Half of it was a bunch of stationery and a few questionable things in Skull’s bags along with a few key chains/kimonos. Nana and Tsuna bought out half of a bakery and a few other things they kept separate from each other.

After the initial bliss of golden week, he successfully did his work without any late homework and smiled at the teachers for once.  

Now that he actually did his homework everyday, the teachers got bitter at the fact that he seemed to do way better, and the students left him alone.

Tsuna frowned at the hostility the teachers had and told Skull and his mother about the events after a week of the same treatment..

It was only a month later that all the teachers his class was assigned had been illegitimate student teachers who barely helped their professors or couldn’t even get into a basic college…. Namimori middle school had separated since basically almost all of the teachers didn’t even gain a degree…unsurprisingly, the terrifying demon expanded school territory. He shivered.

The demon of Namimori had terrorized Kokuyo afterwards. It was only a few miles away from the outskirts of Namimori Middle.

“Tsu-kun?”

“Mhm?” said son nodded up, his lap covered in wrinkled papers and documents. Nana bit her lip nervously.

“Well, I know Namimori isn’t the best so me and Skull think it would be better if you studied in another place….” She looked at Tsuna for confirmation.

He nodded slowly, putting away the school files and recommendations.

“I think you should be studying somewhere with Skull. I don’t know why but after we both met Skull, I feel a lot more wary for you, honey.” Her forehead crinkled in displeasure as she hugged Tsuna. 

“Are you going with me?” Tsuna inquired, his eyes sharpening at her hunched pose.

“Sadly, no. I have no place anywhere outside of Namimori…. and if Iemitsu hears about me disappearing, he will search for me. Your father is a very… focused person. I would let him go but I’m scared of what he’d do to you or anyone else…. it’s not that hard to realize how tenacious Iemitsu is if you knew him dear.” She chuckled mirthlessly, her eyes darkening but prideful at the same time.

He protested but nothing could pass out of mouth, he shut his mouth after 5 minutes of silence.

“…what do you say?” his tutor stood at the door, having been there for the whole conversation. Skull’s eyes pierced through his soul. Tsuna froze in some unknown emotion and turned towards his mother. She tearfully smiled at him, getting up to make dinner.

He shook in disbelief…. Skull or his mother.

Tsuna frowned, grasping his mother’s hand. After a week of not doing anything, he reluctantly greeted his mother farewell which broke his heart. Skull gave them closure for the next 3 hours.

While they were going to the airport, Nana had texted her son and so forth, both sides missing their family member like crazy.

After 3 years, Tsunayoshi visited Japan for the first time alone and a Hitman entered Japan. Both people could feel a pit in their guts, unsure of what it was. 

As for Skull, he had abandoned Tsunayoshi with a plane ticket and 3 checks that could buy out a small town on his 16th birthday, though Tsunayoshi had understood. It wasn’t Skull’s place to help the Vongola no matter how much Skull loved his pupil.

It was very obvious to Tsuna that the Vongola or it’s allies had done something devastating to Skull’s life since the cloud was so understanding. Tsuna’s palms turned clammy for the first time in a long time, gripping the cloud flame fused crystal in his hand. It was the only thing Skull truly gave that indicated his bond with the 16 yr old.

His sky flames braced him for the worst as he stepped onto Japanese ground, sharply inhaling as observant sun flames doused the airport, the hitman’s eyes scanning for the Japanese heir he needed to train.

Then they made eye contact. Reborn did not like this brat, Leon tensed and curled up on his shoulder away from the Sky’s stare. A snarky grin makes it out of the teenager as well as anger from his Cloud’s experience with the hitman.

Sun and Sky flames set each other off, creating humidity in the air conditioned airport.

(Somewhere in a quiet place, Skull woke up with orange and purple eyes, instinctively reaching for a silver shortblade behind his pillow. Sensing the irritating sun flames through his sky, he pushed out the sun to balance the powers of a grown man with developed flames in comparison to a teenager with a weakening seal that was slowly disintegrating his muscles and organs..

He hoped nothing too bad would happen to what was his. Or there would be hell to pay. He went back to sleep with restlessness in his body.)

"Yeah Ghostie," Sero tells him, "pretty h/c hair and rocking body."

"She's also really nice," Kirishima adds. Denki looks at the picture to see the girl sitting on a car with two other girls. She's smiling brightly. You'd hardly imagine her as the type to become a hero. Flashy pretty girl. But like Kirishima says she's really sweet. Constantly working to tutor other kids. She works with Uraraka and Tsu a lot with combat training.

"She followed my spam," Denki adds as he hands Mina back her phone, "I'm finally in with the older girls."

"Yeah you wish," Sero says shoving him lightly.

"She has a pretty fun spam," Mina says pulling up the account, "her last post made me think of you."

"Yeah how so?" He asks her. She shows him the picture. It's of Ghostie holding a pikachu plushie up. 'Gonna catch me a pikachu to finish my Pokédex."

"Oh so she's nerdy?" Bakugo says finally joining in.

"Hot nerdy," Mina says pulling her phone back, "anyways you are the Pikachu knock off Kaminari."

He puts his phone away as Aizawa moves into the classroom starting class at once. Denki tries to pay attention. He really does but when his phone buzzes and he see's another message from her he knows all productivity is out the door.

uathotpatrol : All Might has us taking turns in a rescue simulation and I went first so I have the rest of the period to do jack shit

"Kaminari what did I just say?" Aizawa asks harshly. Denki looks up in slight horror as he shoves his phone into his pocket. 

"Uhhh something something hero," Denki says tensely. Aizawa sends the attack weapon at him. It knocks Denki back then automatically returns to the teacher. He returns to the lesson and Denki tries his best to pay attention. As class ends and they head off to lunch Denki see's the very girl that hasn't left his mind all day. 

"Hey L/n," He says smiling lightly at her. She waves him over.

"Hey Kaminari," She says brightly, "I see you survived Aizawa."

"Barely," Denki says with a nervous chuckle. Her friends watch them carefully. Amused with the situation. Denki doesn't exactly know why. 

"Wanna eat together?" She offers, "my friends are leaving for a field trip so I'm gonna be alone."

"Yeah of course," He replies. She smiles standing then waves to her friends. 

"Follow me," She tells him. He nods following her as they move past his friends. Who, rightfully so, were freaking out about the situation. As they take their seats he notices she had lead him into a sea of 2nd and third years. He see's the big three and a couple other noteable upperclassman.

"What field trip are your friends going on?" Denki asks her.

"To check out Ryuku's hero agency," She explains, "pros let the upperclassmen at hero schools tour every so often."

"You didn't want to check it out?" He asks.

"I'm commited to Mirko's agency," She admits, "I started working at her agency last year and she's invited me to stay."

"Oh thats so cool!" Denki says smiling at her. She nods.

"She's a good hero a lot of people girl her crap for her cutesy appearance," She starts. Denki can she she's passionate about the subject. "She's strong and powerful. I wanna be just like her... Gah sorry I'm rambling."

"No you're fine," Denki says smiling at her, "you're passionate. It's cute."

"You're such a charmer," She says giving him a smile, "what about you? Any heroes that stick out?"

"MT Lady is one of my favourites," Denki says, "I also really like Edgeshot and Hawks."

"Hawks was the one I did my internship with," She tells him, "he's dreamy."

"Dreamy huh?" He asks.

"Yeah- when you're older you'll have the same effect," She says giving him a wink, "I mean that little smirk. When you've fully grown into you're features you'll be one hell of a ladies man."

"Yeah you reckon?" He asks smirking.

"Yeah," She says, "now Denki I'm thinking after school we head out on a date."

"A date?" 

He's nervous but trying to keep his flirty nature.

"You wanna go on a date? With me?"

He's failing miserablly.

"I kinda think you're cute and my childhood friend Shinso really talked you up to me," She explains, "he said you have a little crush on me. So wanna go on a date?"

"Of course- I mean yeah sure babe," He says attempting to keep his cool. She smiles at him. 

"Let me give you my number," She says. He nods handing her his phone. She puts in her number then snaps a picture of her self. Once he gets her phone back he notices the cute photo. Man she's really cute. He can't help but sneak a glance at her as she sips on her drink.

He moves typing a quick message to send her. She smiles at the quirky greeting. Then hands him her phone. 

"Take a picture for your contact," She tells him. He moves posing for the selfie. Snapping it then returning her phone. "Well I'll meet you by the 1A dorms. I'm thinking pizza?"

"Sounds good to me," He tells her. She gives him a wink then moves to leave the cafeteria. Denki retreats to his friends who are yelling at him.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" Mina shouts.

"Yeah what was that?!" Sero asks.

"She asked me on a date," Denki says with a smirk. Suddenly horror hits him. "Oh god she asked me on a date. How how do I date?"

"Oh god you're hopeless."

"We have to help him," Kirishima says.

"AH come on lighting extra let's go!"

My Hero Academia Episode 76 “Infinite 100%”

It’s. Finally. Here.

So this episode is finally Lady Time! After taking an L for the entire arc, the ladies have got it from here! (I consider Deku an honorary girl so he counts too). I do wish they’d done a little more with this scene but whatever, it’s big and exciting. (One thing they cut from the manga: It’s Ryukyu who instructs Ochaco and Tsu to do The Thing there. Here they just know. Cause they’re psychic or something).

Awesome Lady #5 to Save the Day: Toga, of all people. Posing as Deku she basically saved them all. Yes, for Villainous Reasons. But hey, it turned out ok in the end! And of course, as we manga readers know, Toga stealing Ochaco’s blood and later Deku’s will only result in good things! (laughs like a maniac waiting for season 5).

Me tearing up for Awesome Lady #6: Eri, who has to find the will to be saved. I kinda wish they’d kept this point in the anime where the narration in the manga stated that she needed the will to be saved too, but either way who cares.

HOLY. SHIT. MIGHT-U!?! MIGHT U MAKES ITS ANIME DEBUT!?!? I was not expecting that! Certainly not in this scene. OK for those who don’t know, that vocal track they play right here? IT’S THE LYRIC VERSION OF YOU SAY RUN. It was released for the soundtrack of the movie, and I am not exaggerating when I call it the greatest piece of music ever composed by mankind. And here it is, in the anime. I had kinda headcanoned it as a BKDK soundtrack, but whatever, Deku remembers the “Save to Win/Win to Save” thing here anyway so it’s an honorary BKDK moment. 

Anyway I’m crying and I’m dead and this series has killed me.

You know, at first this kinda reminded me of that bit in Naruto where Hinata trips over a rock and can’t help him when he’s dying...

But then this happens and I remember Oh Yeah Uraraka is URARAKA. And she ain’t done with this arc yet! Awesome lady of the first 4 is gonna kill it! The animation on those shots was cool, BTW, just...her quirk activating on this little rocks. I’m getting even more hyped for a certain manga moment in the future...

I really like how they build up Overhaul’s appearance here in his This is my Final Form moment. (Yes, sorry to spoil you, but this is indeed his Final Form. Thank. God.)

Holy crap what? What was bones smoking (this is still amazing, btw) when they animated this? I bet they’re having a lot of fun right now. Just...holy hell that imagery. It was not in the manga, I don’t think...so this is just bones being like “How do we depict 100% full cowl Deku? I know! Multiple giant imaginary fists!”

That Chisaki POV was really smart too, just...conveying how terrifying our little hero truly is. (Honorary) Girl #7 Izuku is called the Absolute Madman for a reason, Chisaki.

Nothing is inevitable as long as you can look it in the eyes and say “you’re evitable”.

Holy shit they stopped at the end of 158? I guess that means we’ll see more MadMan 100% in the next episode! OMG!

I’m pretty sure infinite 100% Deku was the only reason this arc was made. And hoo boy was it awesome to finally get to! My biggest moment in this episode, of course, was hearing MightU make it’s anime debut and finally seeing this scene animated as well. So yes, the episode is really good. But, of course, I do have some criticisms of this arc that still apply here...namely, that while this moment is unbelievably awesome and MadMan Deku is always cool...it’s also less so because this part of the series is almost a regression for Izuku as a character. Deku’s arc is about becoming more confident in himself and learning how to fight on his own without hurting his body, so having to do so again (and another bit that might be in the next episode) mark a bit of him going backwards in his progression instead of forwards. Still, either way, this does act as a kind of preview of how he will operate at 100%, and seeing him defy fate, help Eri and wreck Overhaul’s shit is still amazing to witness and experience. 

Next episode: Presumably a new OP (BYE BYE POLARIS I DISLIKED YOU AT FIRST BUT NOW YOU OWN MY SOUL) and at least 3 crazy things! I’m predicting chapters 159-161, so be prepared to Fist Pump, Scream in Horror, and Cry Uncontrollably, in that order.

They’d started having teacher appreciation days a few years back; it’s good for morale as finals creep closer, and it serves as a fun distraction and a chance for students to get to know their teachers a little better. After all, they’ll be working alongside them as heroes in a few years’ time.

They have some reviews scheduled for teacher appreciation day, but Iida and Yaoyorozu had come forward the week before and asked if they could put aside a few minutes toward the end of their class to give him a gift. He’d been surprised; he figured with everything that’s been going on and all the turmoil of beginning high school, and in such an intensive hero course, they weren’t planning on doing anything.

He’d agreed, of course, which brings them all to now, huddled around his desk with just under ten minutes left in class.

“We all voted on what it,” Iida explains. “We wanted to combine praise for your abilities as a teacher and a hero, as well as sprinkle in a little humor so it wouldn’t come off too formally.”

“Kiss-ass,” Kirishima fake-coughs, but the rest of the class laughs with him, Iida included.

“You’ve taught us a lot,” Midoriya continues. “As a teacher and as a pro hero we all look up to.”

Something tightens in his chest at that; look up to, huh?

Iida removes the class gift from behind his back and holds it out to their teacher.

It’s wrapped in a plain yellow paper, the true shape of whatever it is obscured by the packaging, but the weight in his hand is familiar, and he has to hold back a small smile.

Aizawa’s amassed a collection of mugs over the years from his students. They’re a good staple, and he’d be lying if he didn’t enjoy being able to put off doing his dishes another day for every cat-themed novelty mug he has, plus every one he has proclaiming he’s the #1 Teacher or with a joke about needing coffee in the morning.

“Thank you,” he says, thumbing at the tape keeping the whole thing sealed. “May I open it?”

The whole class makes a chorus of affirmative noises, all apparently excited for him to receive it. It sounds like they had it custom made, so it’ll probably be something more personal than previous years, but he’s not sure if any of them actually know enough about him to make it something personal.

There’s a small card taped to the top, so he opens that first.

Sensei,

We all want to thank you for your dedication to our class and to us individually as students and as future heroes. We look forward to continuing to learn from the best for the rest of the year.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Day!

He wonders which of them wrote it, considering how extraordinarily formal it sounds and how neat the writing is.

“Iida composed it and I wrote it out,” Yaoyorozu points out.

“We decided she has the best handwriting out of all of us,” Jirou nods, and Aizawa mentally agrees. None of them write terribly sloppily, but Yaoyorozu has such a neat, composed script that it’s always something of a relief when he realizes her homework is next to grade.

He puts the card gently on his desk, propped up so the multicolored ‘From Class 1-A’ on the cover points out toward the room.

He continues to unwrap the gift carefully, flashing back to one year where it had been taped and folded in odd places and he’d dropped it, but successfully wrangles this one out of the mass of tissue paper and ribbons.

“We tried to wrap it pretty nicely but still cute,” Uraraka points out, apparently the one behind the awkward (but cute) bow scrunching all the paper around the middle.

“I see,” he humors her, carefully untying the bow so it doesn’t rip or crinkle.

The top of the mug reveals itself first, and it surprises a laugh out of him. There’s three gel packs stuffed inside, each in a different flavor, and there’s scattered laughter as he pulls them out and examines them.

As often as he replaces his meals with these, he thinks he’ll probably save these for a special occasion. Keep them in his office until the written portion of finals need to be graded, and live on them as motivation reminding him his students are worth it to sit through the same test 20 times.

“Thank you,” he says, out to all of them, and sets the packs on his desk.

Kirishima and Tokoyami both chirp out ‘you’re welcome!’ from somewhere behind the front wall of students.

“It was their idea,” Tsu informs him with a smile. “I don’t think the rest of us wanted to encourage you, though.”

He snorts at that, wondering if Hizashi had told them to give him shit about the protein packs if they saw him with one, but does still appreciate the thought.

They all look excited as he moves on to the mug itself, pulling paper away to reveal something printed on it. As the majority of the paper peels back, he realizes it’s their most recent staff picture; every instructor and professional working at UA, most either smiling or goofing around with their coworkers, wrapped around the front of the mug.

“It says something, too,” Todoroki pipes up. “On the bottom.”

Aizawa scans the blank edge under the picture, but doesn’t see anything.

“On the bottom bottom,” Kaminari clarifies. “Under it.”

Aizawa gives them all a questioning glance, but slowly turns the mug so he can check the underside.

And sure enough.

On the bottom of the mug, only visible at an angle tipped up to drink from, is a simple sentence in bold font.

I’d rather be having a cat nap.

It’s…

His eyes feel warm.

It’s perfect.

“I love it,” he blurts out, in genuine awe and fondness. “It’s true,” he jokes, shooting them all a tired look.

There are a couple very real cheers from some of the students.

“I told you!” Midoriya beams at Todoroki, who just smiles as though he also knew it’d be a great gift and just made Midoriya second-guess himself to… Fuck with him, or something? He knows the two of them are something like friends now, just like everyone that comes within a mile of Midoriya is eventually.

“Thank you all,” he says, still smiling softly at how thoughtful they’ve been. “Don’t tell the other classes, but this is absolutely the best mug I’ve gotten.”

To his surprise, there’s a very satisfied ‘HELL YEAH’ from the back of the cluster. He’s 99% sure it was Bakugou.

All Might doesn’t know what to expect for his first teacher appreciation day. As the #1 pro hero, he already receives appreciation on a daily basis.

“None of us could figure out what we could get you,” Midoriya admits. “So we just decided to all make you cards.”

All Might beams.

“Oh, I hope you didn’t go to too much trouble. Having you all as my students is already a gift every day.”

Someone in the class calls out “That’s cheesy!”, earning a couple laughs in agreement.

Midoriya seems to be their leader in this situation, apparently still the only one out of them all that’s comfortable approaching All Might, and the rest of them follow when he stands from his desk.

They form a practiced line, which is just as endearing as it is efficient.

Midoriya hands his card over first, of course. The front says Happy Teacher Appreciation Day, and rather than writing out a note within it, he’s drawn a picture of them both. They have lightning around them, their shared quirk imagined at full power, and they both look ready to save the day.

“I love it,” he gasps. “Thank you, Midoriya! I do hope that one day we’ll see this picture become a reality, and we’ll be able to fight side by side as pillars of hope.”

(It rings false in his head, considering his powers are waning, but he’s not ready to let Midoriya know that yet.)

All Might scoops Midoriya up in a hug and the boy yelps, then laughs as he hugs back. As expected, he has tears in his eyes when All Might puts him down, and All Might ruffles his hair before addressing the next student.

It goes on like that for each of them; they’ve all prepared a card, and while most do have a note in it thanking him for his dedication or gushing about how honored they are to be training under him, a few have also followed in Midoriya’s footsteps and made doodles as well.

Iida draws them both running together. Jirou draws them in a little band, with All Might wearing black and yelling into what he assumes is a microphone. Shouji just draws six little thumbs-up hands. Tsu’s features her crouched on his bicep as he poses, both in matching frog-themed outfits, and while All Might is gushing about how cute it is, he realizes he’s going to need to buy frames to keep these all in.

Almost every student goes for a hug, as well, when All Might opens his arm after thanking them for their card. Todoroki even considers it, but holds out a fist for All Might to bump instead.

He does, of course. He knows Todoroki isn’t supposed to like him because of his father’s grudge, but that doesn’t change the fact that Todoroki is a bright and talented kid, and All Might is here to help them all grow regardless.

Eventually, every student has handed over a card but one.

Finally, hesitantly, Bakugou approaches.

Most of the class have dispersed back to their seats, chatting amongst themselves and giving Bakugou space. There’s a mutual understanding that All Might is someone they all look up to, and it might be weird to have people hovering around while you try to tell your hero how much they’ve inspired you.

Bakugou looks just as annoyed as ever, but he holds out a card, too.

“I’ve looked up to you since I was four,” he rushes out. “I always wanted to be just like you so I could save the world and help people. I still want to be like you, but now I want to be even better.”

It sounds so rehearsed, like he practiced it in the mirror over and over. He almost sounds cruel, talking about wanting to surpass him instead of being like him, but All Might smiles wider. He knows exactly what Bakugou intends to say.

“I’m proud to have inspired such a strong young man not just to be like his heroes, but to improve where they did not,” he says softly, as though it’s a secret just between them. He takes Bakugou’s card in the same conspiratorial, I won’t tell if you won’t way. “You are determined and will only become stronger and faster as your training here continues, and I have no doubt in my mind that you’ll be leading a new generation of heroes toward greatness.”

The slightly horrified look on Bakugou’s face reveals he hadn’t expected All Might to say something heartfelt in return, if anything at all, and he wipes at his eyes quickly to keep a tear from falling.

All Might opens his arms to offer a hug just as he had with the other students. Bakugou hesitates again, and All Might wonders if he should let him know he obviously doesn’t need to feel obligated to hug anyone (and throw in something role model-y about consent and never succumbing to peer pressure), but then Bakugou lurches forward and wraps his arms around his waist as much as he can.

He squeezes so tightly All Might thinks this might actually be an assassination attempt, but then he’s pulling away, this time not wiping his eyes in time to stop a tear slipping down his cheek.

“Thank you,” Bakugou mumbles. “I promise I’ll kick your ass one day.”

All Might chuckles.

This dedication and talent will become the bar set for the next twenty years of heroes, and his heart swells knowing that he’s helping them reach for their full potential and further.

“I look forward to it.”

Talking nonsense part: (2)

Ok, so... let's pose on this note for a moment... and recall the times Nene "time travelled" through the story so far...

So, let's suppose the red house meeting with little (4 years old) Tsukasa belongs there (though the red house is a thing of its own, has its own time, it's too complicated). What happened between them in the red house made us reach here with him and Nene...

Then, let's talk about the one we had in the new chapter next...

It seems Tsukasa "knew" Nene would come to the past that day and was waiting for her to show up in advance. He has a little talk with her back there, connected to what they shared in the red house.

It seems in the official translation he said "us" instead of me. And, she surely did come to play with them at times, some we are going to see later, and... we still got to see one with Amane.

This happened like... about a year after when Tsukasa asked her to come play with 'them'. And, it seems there will eventually be other times, who knows when. Going back to this time, who was the reason that happened in the first place... hmm...

How playful, he is really playing so nicely with her, giving her an experience filled with an unmatched fun. ^^ (ok, from there, he got her take Amane's key for some reason that is still a secret)

Now, let's talk a little about the Tsukasa from that exact day she met Amane crying in, where was he...? It seemed in the moment from last chapter, he knew she was coming and was waiting for her, was it only on that day he knew she is coming or did he know about every time she will be coming to the past in advance? Hmm, let's assume Tsukasa knew about 'every time' Nene will be coming to the past in advance.

If so, then Tsukasa from that day knew she will be coming over so he made sure not to be around? maybe he even was with Amane and left a few seconds before she came because he didn't want to be around in the time she comes there? Ah, it's funny... to say... his future self sent her back to the past... and past Tsukasa took his leave to make things go smoothly between her and his twin as planned by his future self...ahhh... as if they are working together... whether they actually planned it together or not... they seem to be so in sync in there. (Tsukasa going like: Me, Myself and I agree.♡)

Ah, now... let's go to the festival one...

Hmmmmmmmm....................

So, again… going back to that day… what was past Tsukasa's rule exactly in there?

Playing Katanuki for 3 hours you say? hmm... well it's no surprise Tsukasa loves that game so much to the point future Tsukasa spends more than 5 hours playing it... but is that really the only reason Tsukasa didn't go to "eat dinner" with you?

judging by his words... I get the impression this is the only time he gets to eat "alone" in a festival or am I mistaken? Hmm... was Tsukasa cruel to leave him go have dinner all alone or did he know Amane won't be alone and there would be someone to eat with him? Hmm... and when did Tsukasa "decide" to show up?

Hmm? Right after Nene left? I said in an old post of mine Tsukasa seems to be really involved much more that it's shown to us in what happened that day, and in granting the wish Amane wrote on his slip after taking a look at it. (I also like to assume he was around the whole time watching Nene and Amane from afar until she left)

Haha, Slow down, Tsu! You ship them way too much! (it's cute!) Buttt... Give them time to breath! Let them take their sweet time until we reach ch 86? I bet you saw them in there, right? .........

you were there the whole time, weren't you? Anyway.......... Making a link between the time in the festival & the time Nene found Amane crying.... in both times Tsukasa wasn't around and in the first one he showed right after she left. .... coincidence?

For Fun: Now, if we thought more about the time Nene was back to the past that time she found Amane crying... let's say Tsukasa from that time knew she was coming, took his leave and all, him knowing she was sent there by his future self adds more fun to the mix, doesn't it? ~ Nene-chan is here, good job, my future self. You did well. I'm so proud of you (myself). Glad to become you one day. ^^
