I tried to pull up my own blog for a sec and tumblr hit me with the 'never heard of em!' Scared me shitless what the fUCK
My blog exists out of spite and spite alone 💛 (with a pinch of positive vibes and chaos)
ANYWHO I'm planning on making official profiles for my TWST teacher ocs at some point... and I'm contemplating if I should post my old art with other student designs based around different disney charas... I like how they turned out!!! But i have no idea what to do with them JFNDJDJDJ so theyre just in my storage now ig
Also updating the official TCOAV playlist a bit, primarily on youtube bc im a lowly spotify free ver user and the ads make me unreasonably annoyed
Uhh no art today, here's a banger instead <3

🧬 atomiclight’s retro posters +  random stickers 🧬
here’s something that has been stuck in my wip folder since the end of last year. not sure why it took me this long to post, but alas! here are a whopping 110 recolors across two meshes by the wonderful atomiclight. in hindsight i probably should’ve combined them into one but eh, i wasn’t about to redo 50 recolors lol. you can find the originals for ts4 here and here. :]
files are compressed. swatches included in the zip.

✨4t2 wall art /photoboard rc’s by aoifae + iconic posters by plutosims✨
happy sunday! here’s some decor for your sims. (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
included are some recolors by aoifae, with a few new meshes by kkb. i looked around but couldn’t find these exact items, but if they are already converted please let me know! it’s worth noting my versions have been slightly scaled up. the scroll art i went ahead and added recolors to moocha-muses‘ botancial scroll, be sure to grab the MESH here. as a bonus, i added pluto-sims’ iconic posters onto the civic idol poster. :]

🎼 4t2 simmify music nook by myshunosun 🎸
happy friday! here is a wonderful set by @myshunosun, perfect for any sim but especially those with an affinity for music.
i learned a lot converting this set, from tackling my demons (slots), to adjusting the footprint, to finally adding shadows, to figuring out how to make the guitar amp invisible. speaking of the guitar, it’s cloned from crispsandkerosene’s acoustic guitar, which requires argon’s hack. the storage unit is cloned from thimblesims’ dawn living storage unit c. it has 8 slots, so i just duplicated the top middle slot to make up for it. i found if you want to add two stack of LPs on the bottom of the storage unit like shown above, its best to turn them around. it won’t flicker when moving the camera that way for some reason. that should be it, enjoy! ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა
files are compressed. polycount under the cut.
UPDATE 9/14/22: fixed meshes so you don’t have to find the sweet spot lmao. also fixed the mesh texture on the plant to be black (bc i had pink twice and barely found out myself). also resized the record player by like 1cm shh.
UPDATE 9/16/22: Fixed the storage unit from the first fix, oops!
download: [sfs] | [box] ♡
credits: myshunosun, crispsandkerosene, argon, thimblesims and their shadows tutorial, pforestsims’ slot tutorial, rugrat0ne’s footprint tutorial.
POLYCOUNT :
storage unit - 212 [surfaces/misc. $600]
potted plant - 554  [deco/plants $200]
stack of LPs - 150  [deco/sculpture $120]
guitar - 1331 [hobbies/creative $1000]
speaker - 776 [electronics/audio $200]
record player - 1369 [electronics/audio $99] meant to be $400 oops.

craft room update under the cut!
I've been struggling with keeping my craft room/wfh office clean for years ever since i moved into my house. Not only am I messy, a given for a free spirit like myself, but I'm also working on multiple projects at a time that cannot be put away or else they will be forgotten, also typical of free spirits. I also dislike commitment such as putting giant nail or screw holes in the walls for shelving and storage, which would have helped with keeping things organized or at least off the floor so I can vacuum up all the threads and dust.
A short while ago I moved the futon sofa bed out to my bedroom (not that it really fit there either) because the futon looked ugly and was gathering messes and dust and I never used it for its purpose. The futon now is a gathering place for pillows and plushies but sometimes I do sit on it to work on my journal or read a bit. So that's a slight improvement than no use at all. And I put a sheet over it so it's cute now.
With the biggest space-waster out of the way, I moved furniture around to make the best use of light from the window and recently purchased a cheap plastic Ikea shelf to hold lightweight bins and such. The aesthetics and feng shui are not perfect, but with determination, I was able to rehome almost all of my art supplies and boxes of projects off the floor where they had been preventing me from vacuuming and reaching the closet door. There are still a couple of trays of miscellaneous junk to sort through and I would like a better place for my recently obtained embroidery supply baskets, but that should be easy to resolve tomorrow. It better be.
The next biggest change was taking all of my booth/table stuff from a giant tupperware and consolidating the merch and signage on a small shelf since I doubt I will sell at a market or artist alley anytime soon. (Maybe at my retirement, but I don't think society will exist in 20 years, or not a society that will be buying my art anyway.) That freed up a lot of floor space as well. The other giant tupperware holds my wigs and I don't have a place for it in the stuffed cosplay closet, so it will just be hanging out in the center of the room as a mini table surface as usual. I also moved my photos and letters to my bedroom closet as they are not technically office or art supplies.
I pulled out some artsy or fashion postcards and stickers to decorate, labeled a few drawers, and placed vases of fake flowers around to help it look prettier as well instead of just utilitarian. Actually the flowers were from my previous PC desk setups, I never even put them away, lol.
The last few things on my list - add a cute curtain, find a home for the last few baskets I already mentioned and add more artwork to the wall as inspirations. And maybe hang up one small decorative shelf... if I can make that commitment lol. Anyway, I'm really happy that I finally pulled through and finished tidying up, you know, after years of being stressed out by my mess and unable to find anything and buying multiples I didn't need lmao. Now I'm excited to finish my sewing projects and work on new stuff, and I smile when I look at the semi-organized bins and rainbow colors of fabrics and flowers. Gotta celebrate the small wins in this evil and miserable world!
I will post photos on my blog hopefully soon!

Lazy nezumi free version

LAZY NEZUMI FREE VERSION FOR FREE
LAZY NEZUMI FREE VERSION HOW TO
LAZY NEZUMI FREE VERSION SERIAL
LAZY NEZUMI FREE VERSION UPDATE
LAZY NEZUMI FREE VERSION FULL
LAZY NEZUMI FREE VERSION FOR FREE
Since, I have Paint Tool Sai & Photoshop CS6 downloaded for free I'll be testing Silky Shark on both of them for you all to see for yourselves. I do believe Silky Shark is compatible with any free art program such as Paint Tool Sai, GIMP, Medibang, FireAlpaca, Adobe Flash 8 (for animation), & many other programs but, with little space left in my laptop storage I can only review very little. There is another alternative BUT, the downfall is that I don't have a Mac PC so I can't download it for you all sadly, one day I hope to download Lazy Nezumi Pro for it's helpful programmer seller cause, I think they deserve more love than hate, I mean $35 for a program isn't a bad price unlike *cough* Photoshop CS6 itself.
LAZY NEZUMI FREE VERSION HOW TO
Like the title of this journal says it's a "free alternative" to Lazy Nezumi Pro for those who can't afford it like me, I'll be doing a YouTube video on how to download & Install it with no hassle.
LAZY NEZUMI FREE VERSION SERIAL
In the Lazy Nezumi Pro iso file you will find in crack folder the Lazy Nezumi Pro Crack, Lazy Nezumi Pro serial and Lazy Nezumi Pro activation. When you create a sketch or draw lines in any image editing software.
LAZY NEZUMI FREE VERSION FULL
It is full installer l for 32/64 Bit independent. Here is the Blog that I found Silky Shark on Lazy Nezumi Pro Download The latest version and fully setup for Windows. The Help/About Lazy Nezumi Pro menu of the app will show you which version you are running. You can also use it on any time frame that suits you best, from the 1 minute through to the 1-month charts. So, earlier this morning I was searching for a free alternative to this program called "Lazy Nezumi" since I won't be able to get paid until at the end of the month I've decided to open up Art Commissions for my Undertale Chibi art, if anyone is interested? If you're running into any trouble with Lazy Nezumi Pro, the first thing you should do is check that you're up to date. If more than one person will be using the software at the same time, such as in a company setting, you should purchase a Multi-User license, by entering more than 1 in the Number of Users box above. System can be used on any Forex currency pair and other assets such as stocks, commodities, cryptos, precious metals, oil, gas, etc. If you are the only person using the software, you can activate your license on up to three (3) machines, for your own personal use. This is helpful as it means you do not need to stare at the charts all day waiting for signals to appear, and you can monitor multiple charts all at once. You can set the LazyHedging indicator to send you a indication by Up and Down with Indication. Lag LazyHedging indicator is a Non-Repaint trading system usually being sold for 199. UDATE:I finally got Lazy Nezumi it was for free but it fully works on my Photoshop CS6.I havent tried it on Adobe Flash 8 but, Im going too for a future video. While traders of all experience levels can use this system, it can be beneficial to practice trading on an MT4 demo account until you become consistent and confident enough to go live. We are uploading EAs Indicators working 100 on real account. There still a few issues reported on the Logitech forums though. G-Hub is now on full release, and the current version seems to be problem free so far for me. I had to do a clean reinstall of Windows 10 to get past that. LazyHedgingindicator can give you trading signals you can take as they are or add your additional chart analysis to filter the signals further, which is recommended. I am pretty sure that an early beta version of Logitech's new G-Hub software stuffed Lazy Nezumi Pro. It catches very fast and profitable price movements and gives you easy BUY/ SELL signals.Įvery trading signal is very carefully verified by the system to produce only the highest probability trades.
LAZY NEZUMI FREE VERSION UPDATE
Just tried it myself and its pretty good so far, with its last update being four days ago, and it works on a couple of programs (Ive tried it with Paint Tool SAI, Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, and. So, if you want really tight, smooth lineart, or just clean lines in general its pretty great. For anyone that liked Lazy Nezumi but cant drop thirty-five dollars for it, this program is pretty similar to it and its free and open-source. This is the complete offline setup of Lazy Nezumi which has excellent compatibility with all latest and famous 32bit and 64bit operating systems. Its called Lazy Nezumi, and its main function is to help smooth your strokes out when youre drawing. Click on the link given below to download Lazy Nezumi Pro free setup. Hey everyone, just wanted to bring to your attention a plugin that might be useful for you. This free forex indicator analyzes the price behavior on the chart every second and determines the ideal entry points based on the built-in algorithm, informing you when you need to open a deal and close it to take profit. Lazy Nezumi stroke smoothing for Photoshop. Lag LazyHedging indicator is a Non-Repaint trading system usually being sold for $199. We are uploading EAs Indicators working 100% on real account.

Ask Answers: December 20th, 2020
We’re back again with another set of ask answers. I do apologize for how long it takes to get a response. It’s really wonderful how many asks people send in, but sadly more come in per week than we have time to answer in a week so we’re always getting behind. We’ll keep doing our best to reply to people, though!
Hopefully the FAQ has been helpful in getting answers to questions more easily. It’s got things like how to find certain CGs, Cove’s height, info on upcoming DLCs, and so on.
Is it possible to change cove's expressions in the cgs in the gallery? Or can we only view one expression per cg in it right now?
Right now it is just the one expression. Cove’s faces are made up of separate eyebrow, eyes, and mouth layers rather than expressions that include eyebrows, eyes, and mouths all in one layer (plus there’s extra optional layers like tears and blushes) so it’s tricky to display different faces because there’s dozens of possible combinations. Maybe we can update the gallery to allow changing the expression someday.
Why'd Kyra and Mr. Holden name their kid Cove?
‘Cause they were very young and kind of wild and wanted to use whatever they thought sounded good without any regard for how common it was. Plus, his dad always went by “Cliff” so having a son named “Cove” seemed perfect.
How can I make my MC outgoing/social? Somehow the characters will comment on how my MC is shy but I'm going out of my way to talk to others and be very happy/puppy-like energy
Did you change the Comfort Level of the relationship screen? By default it’s set to “Nervous”. If you’re at Nervous you can still have moments of being more outgoing but your default base standard is being kind of shy. If you move the bar up to Relaxed or Direct no one should call you shy automatically, though you can still have moments of shyness if you make certain choices.
Hello! I really enjoyed the game but was a bit nervous about choosing for the mc to be upset/irritated because I didn’t want a bad ending! But I read that the game doesn’t have a bad ending? Is that for real??? Our Life is such fun game!
That’s true, the game has no bad endings! You’re welcome to choose whatever you want to suit the game to your story.
I want to draw my mc in the Our Life art style but I’m confused about the nose. Are all the characters’ noses supposed to be the same?
The art style tends to have similar looking noses, though they aren’t all 100% the same shape/size.
So Our life 1 has a focus on summer, Our life 2 on fall.... So this means that we are going to get a Our Life 3 and 4 for winter and spring 👀??
Haha, who knows? It could happen, or maybe just the two games will be enough to satisfy people. We won’t seriously consider it until at least 2022.
Is there going to be more ways to flirt with Cove in Baxter and Derek's DLCs or is it going to be purely them? Haha
Cove will still show up at times, but he’ll be a minor character in someone else’s story. You can kind of flirt with him as often as you can give Derek or Baxter special attention in Cove’s events.
I know there's a mobile version but would you ever consider releasing this game on the switch?
It’d be super cool to port the game to the Switch, but unfortunately it’s not something we can do on our own. The engine we use, Renpy, isn’t easy to work on Switch. But once all the DLCs are out it’s possible we could work with a publisher who has figured out how to convert Renpy games to Switch and they’ll release the game for us. We’ll see how it goes.
Hiya! I wanted to build Mc’s house our life beginnings and always and was wondering if you got any scratches of the layout? It’s an amazing house🥺👉👈
I’m sorry, we don’t. I can say that there’s the kitchen, master bedroom, living room, a bathroom, and some storage places on the first floor. The second floor is smaller and has just two bedrooms and another bathroom.
Im the step 2 birthday dlc, how do I get cove to wear the crown? He keeps wearing the pink headband on all of my playthroughs 😭
He picks a hat based on his hairstyle. You’ve gotta have the longer, bushy hair for him to wear the crown.
In the moment Escapade in step 2, does someone carry the MC into their room at the end, do they just not remember going themselves because they were so tired, or is it just supposed to be up to the player to decide?
That’s up to you to headcanon!
Will we love the next love interests in Our Life 2 as much as we do with Cove 🥺
I hope so. I think they’re pretty cool. And I can say that if they met Cove they’d think he’s very charming and handsome, so players likely already have something in common with them, haha.
—————————————————————— We released a new FAQ! It answers common questions and we’ll keep adding more to it. Please check there before sending an ask. a mun rants
so my friend just brought myself attention to “rolescapes” and after a brief look at @rolescape
I HAVE SOME CONCERNS.
1. you guys dont have a fucking income planned out? maybe this has changed in ur discord but from ur page and guys i want you to really know what they have planned for ideas on how to generate income.
Ads: Pay to promote your RPH, creator blog, character blog, Instagram art, deviant art, etc and we will feature you!
Ads: For Etsy artists, redbubble artists, critical role, etc.
SPONSORS!!!
Pay to buy points — points can be earned by using the site, or they can be purchased and used to buy promotion space and some types of collectible badges.
Content creators can sell themes, and Rolescape will take a very small percentage
There will be an entire section for cosplayers, who generate a lot of traffic and are an important part of the RPC in their own area. They can advertise.
Community fundraisers — talent show. Every week, we will ask for submissions for the talent show. Talent shows will consist of dramatic readings of stories/fanfiction, acted-out cosplay scenes, impressions, fandom songs, skits, fan art reel, and whatever the community sends in that they can think of. Buy a $1 ticket to the show and receive a one-time access code to enter the page. All money collected goes back into making Rolescape possible and pays for the storage space to host all those gifs of Adelaide Kane.
The bottom 3 are perfectly fine the top 3 are incredibly worrying.
thats right folks
you can pay to win RP
nothing says like causing descivness in the rping community by allowing rpers with money overtake promotional spots because they can literally pay to promo their blog across the site whilst a poor struggling blog can only watch as they gather no interactions. IM SURE THAT WILL GO WELL.
also as you know rolescapes exists already. its a tabletop rpg website do you wanna hear their response to this.
While Rolescape is not a trademarked name, we are looking into this further and will post any updates if changes to the name should be made.
Thats right boys and girls they legit went “WELL ITS NOT TRADEMARKED SO IF WE EVER GOT MORE POPULAR THEN THE OTHER SITE I SUPPOSE WE WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE IT.”  Like what the fuck is this?
also
just the cherry on this sundae
“ Made FOR roleplayers, BY roleplayers “
you guys remember this saying
lettme remind you
“DASHCON. a con made for tumble users MADE by tumble users.” and dashcon as u kno, was a great success.
oop just came across this as i was reading on security concerns.
“We do not have a formal security specialist on board at the moment, but as Rolescape continues to progress and grow, there is room to designate specialists to further our commitment to user security.“
what the fuck is this?
do they have anything planned out? are people donating to a literal empty shell of a website?
so far they have plan for income, no real security in place besides the creator which means nothing because the creator will be too busy with the thousand other things and they need a security head, they have plans to make a hyper-agressive rping community by adding pay to win mechanics.
also an incredible worry for me is how diverse is the staff making the website. is it truly a website for rpers? even with tumble as it is with its desciveness on characters, aging up muses, you know genderbends, dubious situations from evil muses gaslighting to abuse, etc etc. people all over the spectrum on what they think is ok or not ok of course within legal limits its incredibly worrying for me because a site made by rpers when i dont know these rpers could be a site that could be heavy on “badthought” rping  punishing those that rp what they think isnt ok and yeeting them from the platform or it could truly be an open place for everyone no matter their opinions or styles of rping and i would like to hope they know this going in but so far on their page im not seeing anything that would alleviate this fear.

About My Blog:
Name: Nate Age: 29 (I’m bad at updating this, I was born in 1990) Pronouns: he/him/his.
It’s been ages since I’ve updated any sort of info about myself or my blog, oops.
Dfab nb trans guy, genderfluid. On the aro/ace spectrum. Queer. Gay. Neuroatypical (ADHD among other things; possibly dyslexia or else it’s just my ADHD that makes reading The Worst). I have chronic pain. I’m chubby.
Privilege: I’m white, I grew up with financial security while I lived with my parents, I live in a liberal area of New England in the USA, I am able-bodied, I can pass as neurotypical. If I make false assumptions or fuck up because of any of these things please call me on it. I will do my utmost not to make this necessary, and to listen if it should ever be necessary.
I blog about social justice, social issues, whatever fandom I’m currently hyperfixated on, DnD, and plenty of other stuff.
My views have evolved since I started blogging, so if you go far enough back in my blog you’ll find posts that I no longer agree with.
I use my “likes” as storage for things I want to respond to later, or save to my computer when I’m on the mobile app, or research more thoroughly before reblogging when I have time/attention, etc. Do not assume I agree with everything in my likes. View my likes with caution.
I’m a writer and an illustrator, and am a Personal Care Assistant to a really cool lady. I play a lot of DnD and I love my dnd group. I’ve been in a relationship with one of my best friends since we were 15. We are engaged, live together, play video games and DnD, and have cats.
I post my thoughts here. I post my art here. These are my cats. This is my face.
I am not always right. I am still learning.
Do not cite me as an expert or trust my implicitly. I am happy to give my thoughts on and discuss any issue, and I do try to research my points before I make them, but I am not an authority.
My ask box is always open. I will respond privately if you ask me to. If I respond publicly I will tag it with your URL so you can find it easily (unless you ask me not to). I tag all asks with “ask” and all anons with “ask” and “anon”. If you send me an ask and I don’t respond it might be because Tumblr ate it, and I never received it, or because I have ADHD and sometimes I forget to respond to things. In either case feel free to send the ask again. I do not consider this rude.
I am careful to always tag for things like racism, transphobia, ableism, etc., as well as death, blood, horror cops, spiders, etc., so people can blacklist them.
I am usually happy to add to this list if you have a phobia or trigger and need me to, just ask. If for some reason I’m uncomfortable tagging a particular subject, I will not be offended if you unfollow me (I’ll also just NEVER be offended by that; you do you)
Some navigation help for my blog:
current events - this tag is reserved for whatever the most recent important (and awful) thing happens to be.
Disney’s Frozen - this tag is referencing all of the problems with that movie (the first one), including general discussion about the sexism in how women are animated. It accidentally became my “misogyny in animation” tag, sorry!
Statistics - this tag is for all posts with specific statistics about social injustice.
real talk - this tag is for short posts that I feel most clearly and succinctly summarize issues of social injustice.
Boost - any post that involves petitions, fund raisers, sales, or other things I want people to not only see but interact with.
Fandoms:
I’ve been in fandom for a long time. I’m here to have fun, and am not comfortable with the current online purity culture of throwing shame at people who enjoy harmless things that you don’t. Fandom is not always about what we wish was real or canon; sometimes it’s about the opposite of that on purpose.
I’m a polyshipper and a multishipper, though I definitely have OTPs and sometimes don’t enjoy seeing those pairs with other people. This is personal preference, and not a judgment on others.
I try to stay out of fandom discourse and mainly reblog art I like. Occasionally, though, I do reblog criticism of fandom specific bigotry.
Just because I reblog stuff from a particular fandom doesn’t mean I necessarily like everything about the piece of media, where/who it came from, or the direction it went. I value fandom because of the power to make the stories we’re given into the stories we wish we’d been given, AND the power to turn stories we love into whatever we’re vibing with at the moment.
Harry Potter was a formative fandom for me, so despite hating JKR I will still engage with fanworks related to it. I tag anything Harry Potter with “hp”. I tag everything relating to JKR with “fuck you JKR”.
Anything related to Tolkien’s Middle Earth stories is tagged “lotr”, anything about the MCU is tagged “Avengers”, and anything related to Avatar the Last Airbender is tagged “Atla”.
I tag anything from the Tales of series with “Tale of” as well as their individual game titles. Anything from MOST Fire Emblem games gets lumped together under “Fire Emblem” but Three Houses is “fe3h”. Similarly, Most Final Fantasy games get “Final Fantasy” while 14 gets “ffxiv”.
Other media I particularly love off the top of my head (and their associated tags), or at least that I often reblog about, includes: Critical Role (and CR2), Phoenix Wright, She Ra (tag: “shera”), Saiyuki, Yu Yu Hakusho (tag: “yyh”), Undertale, The Good Place. Mad Max, Naruto, Miraculous Ladybug (tag: “miraculous”), Legend of Zelda (tag: “zelda”)
Personal tags:
My favorite meta (good meta makes the world go ‘round)
My favorite things on this whole damn site (I love this)
Stuff that’s purely positive (decency, and wholesome)
Things that remind me of my friend group (me and mine and ours)
Mron (things that remind me of and inspire me to work on my sci-fi story about androids)
Embalar (things that remind me of and inspire me to work on the fantasy story/video game/dnd homebrew setting I’m actively working on)
The Fog (things that remind me of and inspire me to work on my fairy tale story, which includes mermaids)
recipes
lifehacks
poetry
art refs (specific tags for: costume design, character design, god design, monster design, creature design, hands, feet, muscles, anatomy, facial expressions, hair, body types, clothes, dresses, fat art, etc., and specific tags for mythical creatures: mermaids, centaurs, vampires, demons, dragons, gryphons, sphinxes, harpies, etc.)
art (specific tags for: sculpture, painting, illustration, music, art history, installation art)
books, games, shows, and movies I wish existed (tumblr books)
furniture, appliances, and house stuff that I would love to have the money to have (want)
pretty jewelry that I want but would never wear because I don’t wear jewelry (for my dragon hoard)

It's been a while since my last update, so here it goes...
(Long post warning)
Before anyone ask "is this blog dead? Or aren't you going to make a comic about it?" The answer is maybe and sadly no. I keep thinking about this for months if I'm still going to continue or not, heck even the comics that I kept promising that I should do it, didn't happened. Even the asks that was kept in my storage for months are remain unanswered because some of them may be or not be part of the story. Or y'know,, I just don't know what to say, I lack motivation in a couple of months and even today because I have to focus more on irl stuffs, especially for college, this makes me wanna do more personal arts for my portfolio. The blog will remain open, in case I wanna doodle or smth for this au idk. I also want to apologize for the late notice.
Even though I'm trying to move on to this fandom, I'll never forget those awesome days, I had fun! met a lot of awesome people who were just so nice and when your senpais noticed you like nani?? xD. Especially for Undertale, aside the toxicity. And when you share your love to this au, I'm v happy and truly thankful for the love you've given me and for this blog.

Short story (although I beg you to read the entire blog): I’m selling a drawing of the Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain house and donating the profits to preservation and restoration efforts.
BUY THE CHAMBERLAIN HOUSE ORIGINAL ART HERE. BUY THE CHAMBERLAIN HOUSE ART PRINTS HERE.
Now, let’s have the whole story. The links will be at the end of the blog again too. I don’t know if my efforts will be successful but my hope is you’ll feel my passion by the end of this blog.
We’re here to talk about something very near and dear to my heart – the Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain house in Brunswick, Maine. The porches that Chamberlain himself built on his home of over fifty years are in structural danger. Together, you and I are going to help. Buildings like this one belong to all of us.
Briefly, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain was a Union general in the American Civil War who rose to that rank without formal military training (he was a professor before the war). He volunteered for service, and then later became a four-term governor of Maine, followed by president of Bowdoin College.
His wife, Fanny, was a rare example of an independent woman, having a career of her own as a music teacher and an artist before she decided to get married. The two of them were quite liberal in a lot of ways; believing women should be admitted to college wherever they chose, believing in the right to contraception and family planning, believing in racial equality, and so forth.
For a bit of context into the time and place the Chamberlain family lived, they knew Harriet Beecher Stowe, author of Uncle Tom’s Cabin, and attended church with her for years. Stowe sometimes held gatherings of Bowdoin College students in her home where she read chapters of Uncle Tom’s Cabin aloud. Chamberlain took Fanny to some of these readings while they were “dating” (dating wasn’t the term in those days).
National history largely forgot Chamberlain until Ken Burns heavily featured him throughout his documentary series, The Civil War. Then in the early 90s, Jeff Daniels actually played Chamberlain (seen in character on the left) in the film, Gettysburg, followed ten years later by playing him again in Gods and Generals.
His impact reaches far beyond Maine. Even I live in Atlanta and I’m just three miles from both Chamberlain Street and Oakland Cemetery where one of his best friends, General John B. Gordon, is buried.
You’re beginning to see why this family and this house matter to American history. We could sit here discussing Chamberlain’s fascinating life and undeniable affect on Maine history until we write a book. In fact, there are a lot of books about him, his military commands, and his family.
Not only did the family live in this house for over fifty years, but Henry Wadsworth Longfellow rented rooms in the same house before they bought it. Longfellow’s presence in the house is still felt today in the upstairs parlor where a portion of the wallpaper he put up is still there.
This is the house today. Originally, it was only one-and-a-half floors. Chamberlain had the entire structure moved to the corner of Potter and Maine, and then lifted about eleven feet off the ground to build an entirely new first floor addition. He designed most of the first floor himself, including a beautiful curved staircase that greeted guests upon walking through the ruby red foyer. It’s is one of the most architecturally important houses in the state of Maine due to the odd mixture of building and decorating styles blended together from different popular aesthetics in the nineteenth century – Cape Cod, Gothic Revival, and some Art Nouveau influences. Chamberlain wasn’t even a trained architect or interior designer.
The Pejepscot History Center (PHC) rescued the house from demolition in 1983 after decades of being rented out to Bowdoin College students. It had been chopped up into seven apartments and the interior was painted psychedelic colors when they acquired it. Almost 37 years under the careful stewardship of historians and volunteers has seen great strides toward preserving and restoring the home to the way it stood when Chamberlain lived there, but only partially so.
As of my last visit, renters still live in the upper portions of the house in, I believe, three apartments because renting brings in money for upkeep. Many of the unoccupied rooms upstairs haven’t yet been restored either, including all of the Chamberlain family bedrooms. The downstairs bathroom with original fittings and the master bedroom upstairs were being used for storage instead of teaching and tourism. It takes a lot of money to preserve and restore historical buildings. Brunswick is a small town and Maine is a small town state.
Why does the decay of an old house matter to me?
My family name is Jewett. That was, once upon a time, an influential name up in Maine, so much so that if you take a drive over to South Berwick, you can tour my ancestors’ home. I’m related to Sarah Orne Jewett and she left her home to Historic New England when she died. If you click on her name, it’ll take you to the website for that house. There, you’ll see the potential when important places have the resources for full, meticulous restoration and preservation. I have a vision for the Chamberlain home being just as preserved, studied, and restored as the Jewett house.
I’ve had the privilege of visiting the Chamberlain house twice. Tour guides were wonderful and well-informed, the gift shop was better than most battlefield gift shops, and there was a beautiful wheelchair ramp built onto the back porch – a rarity for historical landmarks. In the above photo, you’re looking at my first trip to the house twelve years ago when I was quite sick and underweight compared to now. Sick or not, historical preservation is my passion. So I went to Maine.
I’d like to show you more photos from my trips to the Chamberlain house. I quickly grabbed some from my collection so you can see how special this place is to many of us in the American history, women’s history, and Civil War fields.
In 2018 and 2019, the PHC raised $48,000 for serious restoration work on the exterior of the house. They even got the wheelchair ramp rebuilt on the back porch as a bonus. It was a really spectacular job and it all looks like it belonged on the house from the beginning, although General Chamberlain never had a ramp back there.
The old ramp and porch.
The new ramp and porch.
I’m showing you this because I want you to see what’s possible through the help of donations, foundations, and grants to not only restore historical landmarks but also to make them accessible to more people in the future. Places like this really depend on tourism for cash flow in addition to the few grants that are available. Tourism matters economically to small towns. It pays to have interesting landmarks, speaking in practical terms. We’re American. We understand that money talks.
Take a look at this photo of the house from the 1870s. Do you see the glass porch on the first floor, and then the open air porch above it? Pay attention to those.
I’m letting the Pejepscot History Center explain what happened. This is from their fundraiser page. I’m not sure if the fundraiser page is still open, but if it is, I’ll update this blog with a link.
Thanks to $48,000 raised from foundations and individuals over 2018-2019, we were able to undertake extensive exterior restoration work on the Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum starting in the spring of 2019.
Four faces of the building have now been lovingly restored, but in the process, considerable rot due to deferred maintenance in the past was found and corrected.
This led to fewer funds available for addressing the final part of this Phase I restoration effort: the two historic porches on the southeast corner of the building, which have some of the most interesting architecture on the building, and provide considerable structural support.
Unfortunately, they too have more deterioration than originally anticipated, necessitating additional funds to repair and rebuild the porches correctly.
Chamberlain raised the house 11 feet in the air in 1871 to add the lower story, thereby adding the first floor porch himself. He especially loved these porches. Over the years, he and the family enjoyed sitting on them and raising plants in the ample southern sunshine.
So I decided to make donations interesting. Individually, none of us can afford the $20,000 the PHC needs to raise to save Chamberlain’s porches from decaying and deteriorating. I know I can’t.
But what I can do is use my skills as an artist to draw attention to the house and make it worth your effort to help rescue the house. I’m a portrait artist most of the time, selling commissions of ordinary people as well as portraits set in highly researched historical scenes. To me, the Chamberlain house like all other historical houses are like living things with souls and sets of memories all their own.
The idea occurred to me that if people were willing to buy my portraits of people, perhaps they would be willing to buy a “portrait” of a house. I had already done a Christmas-themed piece of art showcasing the Chamberlain family’s church, First Parish, and I was interested in doing another piece anyway. If I could use my artistic drive to raise awareness for historical preservation, all the better.
So I got to work. Watch the video below to see me in action.
Yes, the manner in which I do my art is a bit different. We’ll go ahead and address the elephant in the room since many of you might be new to my website and my art. If you didn’t guess from my other photos, I’m physically disabled. I was born with a condition called Arthrogryposis and the nature of it means I need to do everything with the tools in my mouth, whether it’s writing, typing, chopping vegetables, sewing, or creating art. I’ve had about nineteen surgeries to date with a high probability of two more surgeries in 2020. Selling art is how I make extra money.
This time, however, I’m not making money from the art. I’ve decided to sell both the original and various sized prints made from the Chamberlain house piece for the benefit of the restoration project. When I sell this piece, I will make a donation from 80% of the profits (I need 20% for shipping, materials, etc.) to the Pejepscot History Center and I will make public all of the pertinent documents. That way everything is crystal clear and there are no questions.
This is the completed piece of art.
It took me about three weeks to complete it. I used a combination of Pentel mechanical pencils with .5 mm lead and Prismacolor Ebony pencils on 11×14-inch mixed media paper. Each detail of the house was researched and replicated to the best of my ability down to the placement of the trees, the curtains from the 1870s photographs, the wrought iron fence design, and the woodwork. If you look up top, you’ll see the famous chimney Chamberlain added after the war with the Maltese cross. He was a Fifth Corps officer and the Maltese cross was their insignia, a symbol found throughout the house.
You’ll be able to purchase this piece of art in my shop.
BUY THE CHAMBERLAIN HOUSE ORIGINAL ART HERE. BUY THE CHAMBERLAIN HOUSE ART PRINTS HERE.
The original, as in the actual piece of art I worked on, is 11×14 inches and costs $385.00 USD. Prints (5×7, 8×10, or 11×17) range in price from $12.00 USD to $24.00 USD and are made on high quality cardstock with a glossy finish.
Orders larger than 8×10 inches are shipped in a tube with the art rolled inside to protect it from rough postal workers. Orders 8×10 and smaller are shipped in flat bubble mailers reinforced with cardboard. All customers are given a tracking number so they can keep an eye on their packages with the postal service as well. Every order within the United States includes free shipping. Shipping for international orders will be calculated at the time of purchase.
Please consider purchasing this piece. It’s such a worthy cause. I realize there is a lot happening in the world, and I’m doing my part for those causes too, but we should care about American history too.  We need to be thinking about what kind of tangible legacy we’re going to leave our children and grandchildren. Wouldn’t you want to teach your descendants to celebrate and honor a man who believed in the qualities of a better world that we’re still fighting to create? What better way to honor him and his family than to help preserve the place they loved and called home for over half a century?
If you’re not interested in buying my art, that’s quite all right. There are choices.
One option is to let me collect the donations at PayPal.me/ArtByJessicaJewett and I’ll get it to the Pejepscot History Center for you. Please specify that you are donating to the Chamberlain house in the notes. I’ll send donations on the 15th of every month (when there are any) and I will give you copies of the receipts.
Or you can make a donation directly to the Pejepscot History Center, but please make sure you specify that your donation is for the Chamberlain house. They don’t have digital donations aside from the annual membership drives. The new 2020 membership drive hasn’t been created yet since they are closed until February 4.
To donate by mail:
Pejepscot History Center 159 Park Row Brunswick, ME 04011
By phone: Call (207) 729-6606 to provide a credit card number. They take all major cards.
In person: Drop by their offices at 159 Park Row during open hours.
The Pejepscot History Center is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Your gift is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
I’m not affiliated with the Pejepscot History Center in any way, nor do I work for them. My fundraising efforts are as a private citizen.
Donation
Please consider making a donation to help me keep up with the cost of art supplies, living expenses, equipment related to my disability, and so forth. The minimum is set at $10.00. Thank you for your generosity.
$10.00

Blogs and a basement.
Tumblr media
I am new to this world, and I have to be honest. It really makes me uncomfortable. I typically stay behind the scenes and privately manage my projects and life. So blogging….yikes. It is a stretch for me, but one I am embracing like a yoga warrior 3. So here I go, bravely into a new world, but in this world, I am WowMom. WowMom is actually the superhero name my daughters gave me years ago. It was super sweet, and it stuck.
WowMom takes on projects and problems every working mom faces with gusto and bravery. She is a homeowner (therefore an interior decorator and renovator) she is a student, a homework helper, a cook, a career woman, and above all else – a wife and a mother. This leaves a variety of topics to delve into over the semester. It should be a pretty interesting journey!
For the first blog topic were talking floods and fads, or the basement.
Tumblr media
Let’s start with the flood. It was super gross, but this demonstrates the kind of work WowMom must face. Our sewer line had a tree root growing through it, and it ended up backing up into the basement. This is what they call category 3 damage because everything the water touched had to be removed from the home. EVERYTHING – this article goes into great detail about what this type of damage means. All the flooring, the sheetrock up a foot from the floor, all the furniture, shoes….absolutely everything. We lost boxes upon boxes of Christmas ornaments, my daughters had just come home from college, and all of their stuff was being stored in the basement, we had art and instruments – it was a mess.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thankfully, we also had insurance, and they treated us very well (thanks USAA!!) So we are now in the teardown phase for a remodel. Should be fun… right? Well, remodels are both exciting and a little frustrating. We are taking what used to be two very odd bedrooms and changing it to be one large bedroom and a storage space. You can see the wall we have taken down. So a couple more days of demo (and organizing, one of the frustrating parts is finding a place to put all the displaced furniture and stuff), and we are ready to paint. The basement is a bit dark, so I want to go with a white - but which white?
This article from Real Simple helped me decide. I am going with Wedding Veil by Benjamin Moore.
Tumblr media
It is white but boasts a relaxing quality – which I think is important in a bedroom.
But wait there is more – I need floors and a floorplan. Since this is a basement and they have a tendency to flood, we have decided to go with vinyl flooring that looks like wood planks and just cover with some rugs for warmth. This video really helped us make that choice, and I think I have found some for less than $2/sqft. Which is awesome!
Tumblr media
Finally, we had to consider how this room is to be used. We have two daughters in college who like to bring friends home, so we wanted this to be welcoming to them for now. We also have a five-year-old son, that one day this will be is fulltime bedroom, and again, we want him to be able to have friends over – so we want two full beds. But the room is an odd shape (weird under the stairs closet on one side), and we need to add a closet – so this is the layout we have landed on. Blue rectangles represent beds, red rugs, circles are lights, the white corner is the closet, grey is the dresser and the blue lines are the doors and windows.
Tumblr media
I will be sure to update this blog with more pics and stories of success and woe as we move forward.
Thanks for reading!

This is Tumblr going? And has Facebook already gone?
" Can you see this stuff? This is actually going to take away about 70% of the artists  I follow on Tumblr. Because when they say they are banning content, its not just obvious stuff like porn. Its any content they deem "too mature" wont be allowed. This is because the app store decided that tumblr is too risque to be allowed and banned them from the app store. Tumblr is desperate to keep their download rate, so they are going too extremes that will cause far more people to leave tumblr than they realize. I've been on Tumblr for five or six years, and I feel like I need to move content else ware. - Furthermore, I like what  Facebook looks like more and more. I am thinking about leaving it as well, and then finding another service where I can make multiple accounts that are mostly like Tumblr's feed, but with Facebook's storage abilities, but not as many adds or political ads and such. Instagram has been one suggestion made to me, but I am open to hear of any others. I need to make a list of my current contacts so if anyone who follows me or wants me to keep following them, needs to PM me any other messaging services they would like to have me on, that way I can make the best judgment on which accounts I should migrate too. ~  seyz me ---------------------------------------------------------A better, more positive TumblrSince its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality. Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).   Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible. So what is changing?Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance. Why are we doing this?It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves. Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community. So what’s next?Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time. Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community. Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content. Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one. Jeff D’OnofrioCEO #news180,383 notesKeeping our promise to be transparent about state-sponsored disinformation campaignsHey Tumblr, This past March, we made you aware of steps we took to take down an Internet Research Agency (IRA) disinformation campaign operating on Tumblr in the lead up to the 2016 U.S. elections. The IRA is a Russian state-sponsored group that attempts to influence global political sentiment using Tumblr and other platforms. Our efforts helped indict 13 people who worked for the IRA. We said at the time that we would be on the lookout for additional evidence of fake Tumblr accounts affiliated with state-sponsored disinformation campaigns. In the days leading up to November 6, 2018, we were provided information by law enforcement authorities, including a list of Tumblr accounts allegedly tied to the IRA. We immediately initiated our own independent investigation and we have now identified a total of 112 accounts that we believe to be IRA-affiliated. These accounts appear to be relics of past IRA activity. None of the blogs contained any content related to the 2018 midterm elections, and all of the blogs were dormant since the 2016 election cycle. Although these blogs posed no threat to the 2018 elections, consistent with our promise in March, we: Immediately terminated these accounts and removed the original posts;Left reblogs of posts from these accounts in place for transparency purposes; Are notifying you if you liked, reblogged, replied to, or followed one of the accounts; andHave added the accounts to our public record of usernames linked to state-sponsored disinformation campaigns.U.S. intelligence officials and law enforcement continue to warn that we will see attempts at foreign influence in the future. We remain committed to closely monitoring for signs of state-sponsored disinformation campaigns and will continue to review any information made available to us. There are also things you can do to help stop the spread of disinformation and propaganda. Be aware that people want to manipulate the conversation. Knowing that disinformation and propaganda accounts are out there makes it harder for them to operate. The News Literacy Project has this handy checklist (hosted by John Jay College of Criminal Justice ) for spotting their tricks.Be skeptical of things you read. Disinformation campaigns work because they know people don’t fact check. Look for reliable sources, and double-check that the source really says the same thing as the post. You can also check Snopes and Politifact. Both are award-winning resources and usually have the latest viral claim fact-checked on the front page. Correct the record. When you see people spreading misinformation—even unintentionally—politely say something in a reblog or reply. If it’s your friend, send them a message to let them know. Most importantly, we’ll continue to keep our promise to be transparent with you. #news----------------------------------------------------------

4 Reasons Chromebook Is Better Than iPad
Both Chromebook and iPad are phenomenal devices that allow their users to surf different websites on the internet, play games, use social media, complete their assignments, etc. However, these two devices are not created equal and have different features. Keeping this in mind, we are sharing with you four reasons which make Chromebook better than an iPad.
Tumblr media
Here’s why Chromebook is better than an iPad.
Chromebooks Are Cheaper Than an iPad
ChromeOS is an open-source operating system, which means any big or small company can access its source code and modify it according to their requirements for use in their products (Chromebooks). But iOS is not an open-source operating system, which means you have to pay a large amount of money if you want to buy an iPad for yourself.
Besides this, Chromebooks provide better value for the money too. For example, Lenovo Chromebook(C340) comes with a price tag of $260 and has 64 GB internal storage. However, the iPad’s basic model comes with a price tag of $329 and has 32 GB internal storage.
You Can Use Chromebook as a Tablet
Yes, of course, you can connect your iPad with the official keyboard accessories of Apple to make it look and feel like a laptop. But at the end of the day, it’s not a real laptop, and it might not be a perfect pick for someone whose work involves lots of typing. However, most Chromebooks in the market are designed, keeping in mind a traditional/classic laptop, which makes them a perfect substitute for a typical laptop. Besides this, if you own a convertible 2-in-1 Chromebook, then you can easily convert your Chromebook into a tablet by simply folding it, which you can’t do with an iPad.
You Can Use a Mouse and Touch on a Chromebook
Since most Chromebooks can be easily converted into a tablet, you have an option to interact with it using your mouse or touchscreen, which allows you to have better control over the task that you might be performing in it. But we can’t expect such control and user experience with an iPad. Yes, Of course, you can attach a mouse with your iPad if it’s running on iOS 13 or iOS 14. But you can’t have a user experience similar to a laptop on an iPad.
Chromebook Installs Software Updates and Security Patches Automatically
Unlike the iPad, you don’t have to manually download and install software updates and security patches on a Chromebook. Chromebook downloads software updates and security patches in the background and installs them during the boot process. However, an iPad requires you to manually download and install updates on it, which can be very frustrating, especially if the process is taking too much time.
Conclusion
It’s clear that a Chromebook is much superior to an iPad in comparison. But that does not mean you cannot or should not use it as a laptop by connecting it with a keyboard. You can use it as a laptop. However, it’s a tablet and not a substitute for a traditional laptop, so don’t expect to have a user experience similar to a laptop on it.

How to Transform Your Old Phone Into a New One?
We know how it feels to get tortured with the poor performance of your old smartphone. Smartphones are hugely expensive. They can be quite a heavy investment. And considering the budget, it’s not possible for all of us to go out and replace our old handset with a new one. That is why it becomes more important to keep them in a good working condition and make them last longer. If you are one of those who want to get every last drop of your smartphone’s value before buying a new one. Then this article will guide you on the ways of how to do so. Here, you will get to know the tips going through which you can make the best use of your smartphone by improving its performance. Here’s how you can do it:
The Ways to Make Your Old Smartphone Last Longer
Here are some of the best methods that will help you to extend the life of your old smartphone. And the best part of it is that they are pretty simple and easy to follow. Anyone can apply these methods on their old device and turn them into a brand new one. Look at the steps and help yourself to change your habit of abandoning your old device.
Keep Your Device’s Operating System Updated
The operating system on any of the devices plays a huge role in its functioning. They are the heart of every device. It’s important to keep the operating system up to date for the best performance of every gadget. To improve the speed and performance of your smartphone and make it last longer, it’s the first and the best option that anyone should consider. Keep checking for the software updates on your device. And keep it updated from time to time. Along with the OS, it’s also necessary to keep the third-party apps on your device updated. You can do so by visiting the Google Play Store or App Store on your Android and iOS devices. For a software update on your Android smartphone, go to the settings>About Phone. Tap on the option of “Check for Update.” If an update is available on your device, an option of the “Update” will appear on your screen. Tap on that option. And wait for your device to restart after the update. For updating software on an iPhone, go through the option of settings>general>software update.
Delete the Apps that are of No Use to You
Have you ever checked how many apps are there on your device that you don’t use on a regular basis? Deleting those unused applications can also improve the performance of your device and make it work fast. Some apps consume a huge amount of storage space on our smartphone. So, it is best to select the apps that you don’t use and delete them. To remove the unused app on your Android smartphone, simply press long on the app and slide it to the option of “Uninstall”. Deleting the apps on the iPhone is similar to removing them on the Android phone. Simply tap on the icon of the app, long press and slide it to the symbol of “X”. Now the apps will be deleted on your device.
Get a Screen Guard
How many times it happens when we accidentally drop our phones, and our heart starts beating very fast. No matter how hard we try to avoid making this mistake, somehow, we end up cursing ourselves in the end. Screens are the most important component of our smartphones. And screen repairing is really an expensive option to choose. So, to avoid such situations like this, it’s best to protect our screen display with a screen guard. Avoid Overheating Your Smartphone’s Battery
How many times we complain about the battery issues of our device. It has become the most common issue for every one of us now. Are you also facing this issue? One of the main reasons for this issue might be the overheating or overworking of your smartphone’s battery. Avoid overcharging your smartphone’s battery, and do not let it overheat. Do not keep your device under excessive heat as it may cause stress to your device’s battery and make your phone’s battery shut down at a fast rate. If your smartphone’s battery is severely damaged, consider replacing it with a new one. At least, it is a much cheaper and better option than buying a new phone.
Keep Your Charging Port Clean
Sometimes, dirt particles in your device’s port can also be the main reason for your device’s fast draining battery problems. It is the most common area that attracts dirt, causing your phone’s battery to severely damage. Keeping your smartphone screen and ports clean will make you feel like you own a new phone. You can use a Microfiber cloth for cleaning your smartphone. Microphone, ports, and screen are the most delicate areas of your device. Make sure to keep them clean and free of dirt. For areas like this, you can use a toothpick to get in there to clean it up.
Now after knowing such tricks and tips, take some time and make sure to follow these steps for the better functioning of your smartphone. And for more information like this, stay connected with us by visiting our site.

Agilenano - News: 2020-04-28
I’ve already shared two of my favourite exhibitions from Stockholm Design Week – ‘The Sculptor’s Residence’ and ‘The Archive’ – so today I have a round-up of interesting product launches from the Stockholm Furniture Fair, which takes place at the same time. The largest trade show in the Nordic design world, it brings together more than 700 brands – mostly from Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, but a few from further afield, too. It’s also where many companies choose to unveil their latest pieces, and I’ve picked out some of my favourites below. So, make yourself a cuppa, sit back and feast your eyes on these beautiful new designs… Relaunched pieces from Fredericia’s archives First up is Danish brand Fredericia, which has long been a favourite of mine. Its focus has always been timeless, long-lasting design and for 2020 it has chosen to relaunch several classic pieces from its archives. One is the ‘Ditzel’ lounge chair, created in 1949 by Nanna Ditzel (later responsible for Fredericia’s iconic ‘Trinidad’ chair) and her husband Jørgen. It marked a departure from the upright, rigid chairs that were conventional at the time, and its curved shape was intended to give people the freedom to sit in new, more relaxed ways. The updated version is made from PUR foam with a steel frame, wooden legs and a choice of upholstery, and will be available from September. The other pieces, which are due to go on sale this spring, were all the work of Fredericia’s first design director, Børge Mogensen. The ‘BM61’ and ‘BM62’ chairs (the latter with arms, the former without) are simple yet striking, with a solid wooden frame and a choice of cane wicker or linen webbing for the seat and back. The ‘Canvas’ chair, meanwhile, has a clean-lined oak frame and chunky armrests that echo Mogensen’s famous ‘Spanish’ chair, but with canvas rather than leather for the seat and back. It was designed just before his death in 1972 and has never been put into full production before now, but it makes an excellent addition to Fredericia’s range. Versatile furniture and lighting from Carl Hansen & Son Børge Mogensen was also the man behind two pieces being relaunched by Carl Hansen & Son: the ‘BM0865’ daybed (available from May) and the ‘BM0488’ table bench (available from September). Both were originally showcased at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild furniture exhibition in 1958 and formed part of Mogensen’s ‘building furniture’ concept, through which he aimed to create enduring designs that could be added to and adapted over time in response to changing needs. The daybed is made up of modular oak seats, soft cushions and cylindrical head and armrests that can be used in all sorts of different combinations, and it suits a wide variety of spaces. The bench is crafted from solid oak with a woven top and is similarly versatile, working well as a seat, a side table, a coffee table or a surface for books and other items. Also on show on Carl Hansen’s stand – and in some of the below press photos – was the new ‘MO’ series of floor, table, wall and ceiling lamps. The company’s first collaboration with Danish designer Mads Odgård, it consists of simple lacquered-steel shapes that symbolise light’s comforting effect on people and is designed to last for decades without dating. It will be on sale from October, with prices starting at £263 / €300 per lamp. Scandinavian classics and contemporary tables from Warm Nordic There was yet another relaunch from Warm Nordic – a young Danish brand unveiled at the fair in 2018. It was founded with the aim of showcasing long-lost mid-century pieces alongside contemporary designs, and its latest addition is ‘Dwell’ – a family of compact sofas and armchairs first created by architect Hans Olsen in the 1950s. The curved shape and tapered wooden legs form an elegant yet striking silhouette and there’s a wide range of upholstery options to choose from, including leather and tactile bouclé. It’s set to go on sale this spring, with prices ranging from €1,800 to €5,250. Warm Nordic also used the fair to showcase its new ‘Affinity’ dining table. The work of architect / design duo Halskov & Dalsgaard, it combines a bevelled linoleum top with slimline metal legs and beautiful cane detailing. It comes in round and elliptical versions, with a choice of three muted colourways, and it too will be available in the spring. Prices start at €2,030. New additions at Artek New on Artek‘s stand were two pieces designed by French duo Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec: the ‘Rope’ chair and the ‘Tupla’ wall hook. Both combine simple-looking silhouettes with sophisticated construction and stay true to the Finnish brand’s ethos of blending art and technology (hence the name Artek). The chair is described as ‘a line drawing translated into space’ and consists of a steel-tube frame threaded with rope that forms the back and armrests. It’s surprisingly comfortable as it bends to the sitter’s shape, and it comes in black with a black polyester rope or light grey with a natural flax rope. The wall hook, meanwhile, is made from die-cast zinc and intended to add beauty to an everyday object, with elegant loops that are as lyrical as they are functional. Sculptural minimalism from Kristina Dam I always look forward to seeing the latest pieces from Copenhagen-based designer Kristina Dam, who describes her aesthetic as ‘sculptural minimalism’, and her spring-summer 2020 collection certainly didn’t disappoint. Among the new additions on her stand were the understated ‘Capsule’ glasses and carafe, the angular ‘Pedestal’ table and a bench to match the existing ‘Curved’ side table. I also spotted brown- and black-leather editions of the popular ‘Curved’ pouf, a new full-sized version of the ‘Rotating’ mirror, and a beautiful porcelain sculpture called ‘Brick’, which takes its cue from Ancient Greek architecture and features a single unbroken line. My favourites, though, were the powder-coated steel ‘Bauhaus’ lounge chair – a tribute to the famous Bauhaus art school, available in black or white and suitable for indoor and outdoor use – and the painted-glass ‘Dual’ vases, which come in soft, earthy colours and can be stood on either end, giving you two different designs in one. Many of the new launches are available now; others are coming soon but you can sign up for alerts via the website. New colours and options from String Furniture Swedish stalwart String Furniture used the fair to display several new additions, including a rich brown version of its iconic modular shelving system and the full roll-out of its beige colourway, first launched for some elements last year. There was also a new utilitarian version of its compact ‘Pocket’ shelf unit featuring perforated metal and a lipped edge. It was created by Swedish duo Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström, who sought to reinterpret the design while retaining the essence of the original, and is ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and garages. The holes can be used for hanging hooks, rails and other accessories, and it comes in three colour choices – white, taupe and neon orange – that were developed in collaboration with stylist Lotta Agaton. Sustainable wooden furniture from Nikari Finnish brand Nikari had largely escaped my radar before now, but I was very taken with the way it combines modern design with traditional craftsmanship. I was also impressed by its commitment to sustainability, which extends as far as powering its head office, studio and workshop with renewable energy from the hydro-power plant located next door. Its pared-back wooden pieces encompass creations from the likes of Alvar Aalto, Jasper Morrison and Claesson Koivisto Rune, and are made from responsibly sourced wood finished with natural lacquers. New for 2020 is the understated ‘Storia’ stool, designed by Nikari founder Kari Virtanen, and Jenni Roininenat’s ‘Basic’ table, which comes with round or rectangular ends. Both are understated and timeless, and I can see them fitting seamlessly into all sorts of different settings. All-new accessories from &tradition As well as displaying its recently launched pieces by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen, &tradition unveiled ‘Collect’, a line of elegant and understated home accessories created by Space Copenhagen. Designed to complement the Danish brand’s range of classic and contemporary furniture and lighting, it includes cushions, throws and bedspreads in earthy hues such as beige, burgundy and terracotta. All are made from soft and cosy natural materials, with linen and merino wool alongside organic cotton. There’s also a series of hand-crafted concrete planters, which can be used indoors and out and come in three different sizes. The full collection should be available very soon, although prices have yet to be confirmed. The ‘Roadie’ bench from Massproductions Last but not least is Sweden-based Massproductions, whose new ‘Roadie’ outdoor bench was named ‘Best Product’ in the fair awards. The creation of the brand’s British co-founder Chris Martin, it was inspired by the steel crowd control barriers found at rock concerts and is made from strong yet lightweight aluminium. The high back is designed for comfort, and the curved shape means sections can be placed together in a circle to encourage conversation; it’s also stackable for easy storage. It comes in brushed silver, pale yellow and dark green finishes, and matching seat cushions are available. Prices start at €2,060. General Update
This turned into a huge novel to pretty much say “I’m really stressed and you guys aren’t going to notice much of a change but here’s what’s happening in my life- you might see more OOC on this blog for a while”.
This was originally just going to be an update on this morning’s fiasco ( in which our water heater stopped working like halfway through filling a bath, which I didn’t realise until I was already in the water along with a now wasted bath bomb full of glitter, and at the same time the dogs were apparently knocking glass all over the floor :,) ) and okay- update there, on that I ended up suffering through a freezing shower so as to at least get some of the glitter off ( I did not know!! There was glitter in the middle of it!! It looked safe!!! I’m still sparkly!! I make strippers look dull, and that’s after washing it off!! I’m like a giant walking sequin!!! ) and dressed and took care of the glass but honestly it was sort of the- uh. Breaking point I guess you could say because rn my stress levels are through the roof and my coping is hit or miss, because I am a person who needs order and stability and right now every week the rug is being pulled from under me in a new way.
I’m literally playing a horrible waiting game with college because I cannot pack or do SHIT until I at least have my housing assignment- and then I have 5 days to pack up my life and contact my new roommates to see who’s shelling out for a microwave, and then I have about 12 hours to move in on the 6th day. My family is causing problems, and my mother is suddenly backing out of helping me with things and I’m totally convinced I’m going to be on my own for actually getting to the dorms when the time comes. My boss is somehow expecting me to work my normal shifts even tough I have classes- oh, and I don’t get my class schedule until the day of orientation so I don’t know shit??? About what my year is going to look like?? And supposedly my mom is buying a house by March ( there’s some kind of ultimatum hanging over her head that she won’t tell me about, and if THAT isn’t scary.... ), And a lot of other things are changing that, on their own, wouldn’t be stressful to me at all but on top of all the other changes and stresses are causing me to lose my tiny mind.
And on top of actual stress my general mental health issues have been clawing at my mind and nagging in their nasty little voices, so when I do finally get myself in order enough to do something I end up staring at the screen going why am I doing this again? So. Idk I just- feel like I should explain why I’ve been so flaky lately.
This isn’t a hiatus notice.
I’m not going anywhere, and my activity isn’t changing- I have. Basically no threads lmao because every time I go to start one those nasty voices I mentioned pipe in. What is changing is that I am going to lay out some projects for myself to hopefully help me feel like I have some control. I’m going to make use of the terabyte storage device I got for Christmas and hyper-organize the files on my computer and USBs. I’m going to clean up my bookmarks, since some pages have piled up. I’m going to go through and just- purge a lot of old art because frankly I want basically everything from before 2015 to die- and not just the art but like. Everything associated with it. Being sentimental about artwork made mostly for friends who turned out to be jackasses isn’t productive- it’s wasting space I don’t have.
I’m going to make a schedule for myself, which will include a bedtime because I think a good portion of my problem is that I keep staying up until 2-3AM talking to folks who are mostly nocturnal and then waking up at 6-7 with a maximum of 5 hours sleep a night- and also. I’m taking after a friend here and acknowledging that while I may have friends and people to talk to on the internet- right now I’m not talking to them because I’m too stressed. I get online and I dally around and don’t do shit. So this schedule is going to restrict when I’m online outside of work, so that I’m not literally spending all day every day in front of a computer. I’m going to set aside time for reading actual books, going on walks ( even in the cold! I did it when I was younger I’ll do it now! ) , cooking proper meals, cleaning the house ( as I’m the only one between me, my mom, and her roommate/new favourite son that does... ) , and maybe playing videogames because honestly I miss Skyrim and I never uh? Finished Pokemon Moon, oops. I’m also gonna try and set up like... skin care routines because wow I didn’t know goddamn zits could be as painful as they have been the last 3 weeks.
I will probably post more OOC. It’s all tagged, so please blacklist it if it bothers you I just- need to run things my way and jot things down and while I know I’m probably shouting to the void when I post updates it makes me feel like someone is listening, without the anxiety of feeling like a burden and talking to someone directly.
PLEASE don’t be afraid to IM me or poke me on discord, especially if we are mutuals.
I don’t want to just cut everyone off- that’s counter-productive. I just probably won’t be able to mange IC posting again for a bit. I need to make sure my brain’s organized enough for my own thoughts before pulling my muses into the mix.
